Funniest Passage From a Fic
Rule: Quote a passage from a completed work or WIP that made you laugh as you wrote it.
From a yet untitled WIP I keep coming up with snippets for:
She regarded him with soft, green eyes. The scar across the bridge of his nose ran bone deep, ever giving the appearance of an uneven notch. One ear was crudely cropped at the tip, a sign he had said, of which Umaiar, thralls belonged to. Another scar ran from the corner of his mouth to nearly his jaw line, a false grin that led to a perpetual grimace when Maedhros did attempt to smile. One uneven shoulder bulged oddly in its socket, even when properly braced. And of course there was, the nubby stump hovering near her hip, smooth scar tissue over the bony protrusion of his wrist bones. Pitting from necrotic tissue littered the skin above it.
Only a brave few were courageous or foolish enough to imply that this broken wreck of an elf could still truthfully be called Maitimo.
Still, Sirvrethil rose up on her tiptoes and pressed a chaste kiss to the where the scars knit together by his lips. She immediately blushed and dropped her gaze to the ground, waiting for the rebuke. Silence stretched between them until finally she dared look up again.
Maedhros stared back, quizzically. He looked neither outraged or embarrassed. He merely looked confused.
“I am sorry, my lady. I feel that I have cheated you out of a fairytale. Were…were you expecting me to turn back into a Prince if you kissed me? I’m afraid I won’t look any less like an orc for your valiant efforts and I gave my crown away besides.”
*I realize this is not conventionally humorous and I have probably written funnier exchanges, but for whatever reason, I thought this was hilarious. You may roast me now.*

do you have any good female fics to rec?
DO I. LOL. Putting this immediately under a cut because there are a lot! There are so many talented writers in this fandom who do ENORMOUS justice to female characters, both original and book-based. Couple of blog recs at the bottom too!
(I'm assuming this is asking for Tolkien fanfic since that's mostly what I'm on about these days, but if you'd rather see Mass Effect or Dragon Age I can do that too.)
I'm glad you asked! φ(* ̄0 ̄)
I'm going to keep all of these to 1 rec per author just so we don't get totally out of control here.
Forging Gold by @swanmaids ft. Curufin's wife, Dwarf OCs. Heather is an amazing source of female character fic in this fandom; she has well-developed OCs for all of Feanor's daughters-in-law and treats canon female characters with such care and love. Absolutely recommend checking out the rest of her stuff!
Prick a Finger, Cut Your Hand by @welcomingdisaster ft. Indis, Miriel. A really great look at the dynamic between these two. Lena has lots of other good takes on female Tolkien characters too!
Friendship and Stern Demand by @polutrope ft. Elwing. Fantastic exploration of what the communications between Elwing and Maedhros might have looked like!
Untitled by @outofangband ft. Aerin, Morwen. Nelyo focuses a lot on the human characters so if you want to read more about what the mortal women went through in the First Age, definitely browse through their blog!
Abide, Abound by Elleth ft. Arwen, Tauriel. Elleth also has lots of works centering on female Tolkien characters.
And by their blazing signify that a great princess falls, but doth not die by TheLionInMyBed ft. Elwing. One of my favorite takes on Elwing's suicide.
Keeper of Kings by batshape ft. Lalwen. What did Lalwen get up to in Middle-earth? Seeing a lot of people die, for one thing.
Into the Heart of a Fey Thing by @amethysttribble ft. Aredhel, Galadriel, Luthien. Fun "behind-the-scenes" look at some adventures with these three!
A Fish Hook, an Open Eye by simaetha ft. Elwing, f!Maglor. Fascinating AU take on a meeting between Elwing and Maglor prior to the Third Kinslaying.
The Sleep of Flowers by Innin ft. Galadriel, Melian. Very beautiful scene, and plenty of other female-centric works by Innin!
Light Words About Nothing by Margo_Kim ft. Dis, Belladonna. I ship it.
Elwing's Strategy by lifeisyetfair ft. Elwing. Another great take on Elwing at the Third Kinslaying.
Out of Dreams, Into the Sun by solanaceae ft. Miriel, Indis.
Games and Fantasy by Genesis_Grey ft. Arwen, Eowyn. Ohh it captures that chivalric WLW so well.
Over the Unclear Eyes of Memory by Loriand_Lost ft. Anaire, Aredhel. Addresses Anaire's complicated feelings about Fingolfin's return to Valinor. This author also has a number of other great female-centric fics, highly recommend!
The Carriage Held but Just Ourselves by @starspray ft. Luthien, Elwing, Arwen. Amazing look at the line of Thingol's relationship with death. This author also has a whole series on Lalwen and an OFC!
Before the Breath of Storm by tinnurin ft. Dis, Dwarf OC. "Behind-the-scenes" look at the Dwarves before the battle of Azanulbizar.
This Now, This Us by crownlessliestheking ft. Indis, Miriel. Indis and Miriel talk after Miriel's return to Valinor.
The Tapestry by Zdenka ft. Thedowyn, Miriel. The ghost of Miriel Serinde offers some aid. This author also has a lot of female-centric works!
Not Undevoted by SatiricalDraperies ft. Galadriel, Melian.
Winter Sea by Tallulah ft. Finduilas, OFC. Finduilas had a girlfriend in the Falas. Another author with a great selection of female-centric works.
The Hunt by @cuarthol ft. Amarie. Amarie is trans and closeted in Valinor, but Finrod understands.
Come Home to Chaos (Get a Crush on a Queen) by ncfan ft. Arwen, Firiel. When Firiel of Gondor takes refuge in Rivendell, Arwen takes an interest.
Do I Hurt to Hold? by Anonymous ft. Galadriel, Melian. A darker look at their relationship.
That Time Elanor Gardner Had A Crush On Her Employer by Anonymous ft. Arwen, Elanor.
All My Shadows Fade by amyfortuna ft. Arwen, OFC. Unsent letter from a female friend of Arwen's as her wedding to Aragorn approaches. This author is also a good one to look at for more female-centric fic!
Orlaya by yeaka ft. Arwen, Tauriel. Cute!
Of All the Stars, the Fairest by whatiwouldnotgive ft. Arwen, Eowyn.
Or They Would Go On Aching Still by Farasha ft. Arwen, Tauriel. Oh, the grief!
Berrypicking Time by swamp_diamonds ft. Finduilas, Nienor.
Things They Don't Talk About by eris_of_imladris ft. Findis. Findis and Feanor have a complicated relationship.
Easily Sever What Never was One by vauquelin ft. Haleth. If you like Halenthir at all as a ship, you'll like this.
The One With All The Birds by clothono ft. Elwing, Nerdanel. I've said it before I'll say it again--my favorite Elwing fic.
Greensleeves by bravelittlscrib ft. Nerdanel. Little scenes of Nerdanel's life and her relationships.
Emerie by the_artifice_of_eternity ft. Erendis, Ancalime. Ancalime's last visit with her mother before taking the throne.
In the Family by arriviste ft. Celebrian, Galadriel.
At the Water's Edge by crackinthecup ft. Elwing, Idril.
And that's what I've got for you right now, I hope that helps! I would also advise checking out the blogs @tolkien-heroines and @sapphictolkien both of which focus on female characters in Tolkien's work. Happy reading, anon! ♪(^∇^*)

Battles of Beleriand
In response to recent requests on battle fics. Fingon's Kingship fic is ongoing, but it will take a while.
Here's how I've written the Beleriand battles before:
Voices That Were Once Ours - Featuring a savage Maglor, Orcs, Mithrim politics and the Noldolantë.
Monster - The Noldor at the Dagor Aglareb and a Fingon & Maedhros reconciliation.
And He Was Loved by the King - Hador saves Fingon's life and receives the Dragon-helm (mostly Chapter 1).
And here are my ultimate inspiration pieces by other folks:
Delicate Pleasures by @thelioninmybed - Fingon fights Werewolves and proud cousins. I've read it a million times and will do so again.
A Thread Unraveled by @theheirofashandfire - Maedhros relives the Nirnaeth Arnoediad until it's no longer the battle we know.
Monomachy by @zealouswerewolfcollector - When lovers become battle opponents. Fingon and Maedhros at Sirion.
Unnumbered Tears by @danmeiljie - The Nirnaeth and its aftermath.
Moonlight In His Cave by @cuarthol - Himlad burns at the Bragollach. CC brothers flee to Nargothrond (ongoing).
There's more great stuff in this collection. Feel free to add!
Also, here's a handy resource on canonical battles, thanks to @fistfuloflightning

14, 21 for maemag, 22 for gap pussy
hi hi!!! (From this list)
14. What are your favorite smut tropes?
I feel like you know them already :D But hmmmm more seriously... I think in general, I have "will think about something I initially found off-putting too hard and decide actually it is hot/fun/wtv" disease, so this would be a long and very inclusive list. I love a good power dynamic in smutfic (good in the sense of a fine vintage, not moral good), whether it's like a fun thing a sweet couple is playacting, an underlying reality for a ship, or outright dubcon/noncon. Obviously "power dynamic" can fit a billion tropes, but I love very many of those tropes for that underlying reason lmao. Also, I love when there's a lot of emotion, be it DRAMA, or angst, or hurt/comfort, or anything else. Obviously those strike different notes and it depends on the story, but like while I think it can be less "sexy" than pure porn I LOVE SO MUCH reading a good like "magical healing dick" conclusion to an arc of longing and woes. It's an orgasm of the SOUL. Or "magical healing baby spawned from magical healing dick," I am Not Immune to this (it's about the Cherishing). Also, I love those ppl on AO3 who are out there writing the most fucked up (affectionate) monsterfucking oneshots ft. worldbuilding with their original characters and original universes--doing Eru's work. ALSO I remember once upon a time being judgy about omegaverse and laugh because wow that really didn't last long on my part as soon as I opened those fics and realized there was longing inside.
21. Share a smutty headcanon about [character(s)]. (Maedhros/Maglor)
Wow who are these characters I've never heard of them before...
I feel like I need a whole essay to try to get out all my thoughts about them and it wouldn't entirely make any sense, but I think the one-headcanon version is like. Maglor longs to be claimed by Maedhros and please Maedhros and be absolved and loved and worthy & this translates well in his brain to being penetrated. Maedhros longs to feel like he can effectively take care of Maglor/make Maglor happy (something I think he has real despair and doubt about, but the resigned despair and bitterness that he can't correlates to how much he WISHES to) and also that his control issues/endless responsibility-taking are Working Actually And Perfectly Good & this translates well in his brain to penetrating Maglor (which is on unspoken offer from Maglor whenever Maglor is in the same continent and Maedhros is still breathing). Much love. I think that dynamic remains in play between them regardless of the sex act but this sure is my preference for them.
22. Share a DVD commentary on [one of your smut fic/smutty scene from a longer work]. (Mapmaking, known in my google docs folder as "gap pussy")
YEAHH okay. So this one has been lurking almost a full year (I think) as a handful of incoherent notes in my notes app, which sort of sketched out a lot of the dirty talk and action. This was very convenient for finally sitting down and writing it!! Which I had a lot of fun doing; every fic of mine for smut week has been pure self-indulgence. This fic owes a spiritual debt to Death and Taxes, an amazing russingon fic by TheLionInMyBed that was formative in my Maedhros thinking like... very early in my entry to Silm fandom stuff. I just loved Maedhros combining his politics and strategy (never turned off!) with sex and romance in such a blatant, funny, affectionate-but-instrumental way. Also, I've been making "Maglor's Gap " jokes since like. Forever, so it was bound to happen sometime.
The actual "strategy" on Maedhros' part here (aka the policies he wants Maglor to enact) is purely styrofoam porn setup and maybe doesn't really make sense, but I figured that's not what we're here for so I didn't pay it too much mind. What I did want to come through in that aspect of the story was Maedhros' affection for Maglor (kinda understated I think in this fic, but he doesn't want Maglor to die in like, say, dragonfire, and he will do all he can to prevent that. He wants Maglor to be as secure as he can, even though maintaining the siege/leaguer & his own trust & strategy mean Maglor is at great personal risk in this critical position) and Maedhros' tendency to taking leaderly responsibility (he's aware of the risk and that he's asked this of Maglor, & Himring will help out the Gap).
Also, in my head this is a spiritual sequel to my magnum opus Thine Ever, Makalaurë, despite the fact that in between these 2 Gap-era moments, Maglor by miracle of Yavanna's touch gained a pussy. This is a period I associate with a lot of hope for them and a sort of renewing of ties, testing and forging of Maglor's devotion and Maedhros' reliance on it, and Himring!Maedhros=sexiest Maedhros. I'm finding it really fun lately to write humor and dirty talk, both of which are kinda new terrain for me, so that's been delightful on my end. New terrain... ha

my love @kareenvorbarra tagged me to share 5 books read since September that I have loved.
Clarimonde (La Morte Amoureuse), Téophile Gautier -- I don't have a single criticism to make about this book :) A wonderful read, I especially loved the execution of the part where the protagonist doesn't know which life is real and which is a dream. I listened to the old Brazilian Portuguese translation available on the Conto um Conto podcast feed and thought it was excellent, e uma amiga leu a belíssima edição da editora Wish e também elogiou bastante -- fica a dica pros lusófonos daqui :)
Le Cycle de la Belle Dame sans Mercy, David Hult & Joan McRae -- It's an anthology of poems and/or contemporary literary endeavors related to La Belle Dame sans Mercy (Alain Chartier), and it's very interesting, and a lot of fun to read, even if sometimes one can't help the exasperation at how much our titular character has to go through for the crime of... being the object of an extremely insistent suitor's obsession :P It's really interesting to see the ways in which many different readers reacted to it though, and a nice contrast to the Roman de la rose that I had just finished. And the poetry itself is lovely -- I wish there was audio or video available of someone reading it out loud, but if there is, I can't seem to find it :'(
Antes do Baile Verde, Lygia Fagundes Telles -- A collection of short stories, I think most of them are available individually in English but the collection itself doesn't seem to have ever been translated into this language. I recently got obsessed with The Hunt (one of the stories), and after listening to every single recording of it I could find, I decided to read it for myself, and ended up reading the whole book, and it's really excellent, I love the way she builds and holds (and almost never resolves) the tension... One of my favorite short story writers ^^
Vita Nostra, Marina and Sergey Dyachenko -- I LOOOOOVED this book, so much that I do not know how to talk about it. I loved it and I haven't stopped thinking about it since I finished reading it. I am on the verge of rereading it though I know I should wait longer... Anyway if anyone has read insightful conversation/reviews of this book that go beyond praising it, please let me know, I'm very interested!
The Obelisk Gate, N.K. Jemisin -- It's such a wonderful experience to read an author who has both a vision and the technical skill to pull it off! My favorite thing about this specific volume were the visuals, I really think they were incredible. I have already forgotten parts of the plot, but I think I remember vividly every single scene with a stone-eater. I'm also sooo pleased by the way she looks at greater social power structures! Been A WHILE since I read original setting fantasy with an actual spine. TBH I was 100% burned out on that specific genre for a while and The Fifth Season is what brought me back. On the side of things I didn't like, there are a couple (that "magic" vocabulary scene was genuinely cringe imo...), but mostly I wish there was more commonplace tenderness, both in-narrative and on a meta level. If it wasn't for Hoa as a narrative element, this book would be unreadable (to me ofc).
Tag uuuh @ourlightsinvain @imindhowwelayinjune @thelioninmybed @bamboocounting @vardasvapors @anghraine @yavieriel @medievalcat @seagodofmagic @hadrianspaywall @nelyafinwe (are you in the room with us giulia...) @hoeratius & anyone else who feels like doing it :)

Last song: ‘VIBE’ by Taeyang ft. Jimin of BTS - this one landed yesterday and if the idea of 3 minutes (or so) of Jimin Jimin-ing his little butt out entertains you, this music video is for you! Did this boy invent the sultry stare?
Last show: Ahahahahahaha ‘Singles Inferno’ on Netflix, which I have been unhelpfully paraphrasing as ‘Korean Love Island’ to those around me. A fantastic advert for queerness, this dating show involves the notion that successful heterosexual coupling removes you from a beautiful island to a sterile airport hotel, and is addictive as all the best reality shows are.
Last movie: ‘Glass Onion’ on Netflix, after very belatedly catching up with ‘Knives Out’ over Christmas. This movie is many, many good things including queer, but also up there with ‘Mamma Mia’, ‘Mamma Mia 2′ and ‘Call Me By Your Name’ for infusing mediterranean sunshine into your eyeballs until it’s nearly as good as not!January
Currently watching: Chao Yin Zhan Ji - a 2018 Chinese ‘partnership idol reality show’ which Xu Minghao (The8) and Wen Junhui (Jun) of ‘Seventeen’ participated on and some lovely fans have subtitled so I can watch it! God I love fandom <3 It is fun on it’s own merits (actually kind of another dating show, as the idols have to pick who to work with and whether to ‘break up’ or stick with their partners) and also enjoying seeing a different side to both Minghao and Junhui and their relationship with each other...
Currently reading: A bunch of fanfic, as always, but shout out to @ninamonday new serialised SVT WonHan chaebol AU ‘Accessory’ which is a nice little mid-week treat.
Current obsession: Hey if you’re reading my tumblr you know it’s kpop :DDD
tagging @bishybarnaby @popliar @brofisting @spacewitchbot @trappingsofzed @sineala if they want to play

this silly tumblr fic, or the butterfly effect.

For the fic writer asks: 23, 30 and 41? :)
Thank you for the ask!
(cw for people who don't want to read about it for mentions of sibling incest)
I answered 23 here.
30. Have you ever written something that was out of your comfort zone? If so, what was it, and how did it affect your approach to writing fic thereafter?
Love this question. I write things outside my comfort zone a lot -- it's probably my favourite thing to do. (Actually creative writing, period, is outside my comfort zone.) A Proposition (rated E) was definitely outside my comfort zone. It's a kinkmeme fill for Fingon/Maedhros/Maglor and the premise of it (tubby Maglor who is insecure about his body) just latched onto my mind and would not let go. It's a pretty outrageous fic but I am happy with how I made it work in a way that didn't weird me out. It's funny, it's over-the-top, and actually kinda sweet?
Writing that opened the floodgates to more outrageous humour-smut like Everlasting Darkness (also E), which ended up being one of my favourite fics I've written.
I love writing silmkinkmeme prompts because they get me outside my comfort zone and I can convince myself while I'm writing that I'm going to post it anon, so I let go of my expectations for myself. So far I haven't ended up keeping anything anon though I have made a pseud.
41. Link a fic that made you think, “Wow, I want to write like that.”
I am trying to let go of wanting to write like other people because, well, I am me and, as much as I might be influenced and inspired by other writing, I'll only ever be able to write like me. But I admire things about all my fellow writers and get new ideas about writing from almost everything I read. To name two: I admire the way lonelyvisitor uses language and the way TheLionInMyBed tells a story (I'm not tagging them because I'm shy afjhdsfj).

I THOUGHT YOU WERE JOKING ABOUT THE 'ELROND CALLING ELWING A CUNT' thing. But here I am, a newbie just going through fics one after the other of Elwing being called so many names and being humiliated, while the kidnap fam is uplifted. WHAT IS GOING ON. I could smell misogynistic from a mile away holy moly. But I have read your fics (I FUCKING LOVE IT) and I want more. May I also ask for some ELWING FIC RECS.
Oh no, that was a very literal example. My heart goes out to you in this difficult time of unfortunate realizations, anon.
But I am delighted to share some quality Elwing fic! ╰(*°▽°*)╯ (And thank you, I'm glad you liked mine!)
And by their blazing signify that a great princess falls, but doth not die by TheLionInMyBed is an absolutely phenomenal look at Elwing's last moments in Sirion.
The One with All the Birds by clothono and yes I know this one comes up every time I'm asked for Elwing recs, but it really is so delightful, and all the other characters who appear in it are so well-characterized and engaging. The bizarre connection that Elwing and Nerdanel share, both waiting for their children to return, is so interesting!
Elwing's Strategy by lifeisyetfair is another examination of why Elwing chose as she did in Sirion. Both Elwing and Maedhros are characterized so well, it's delicious.
The Carriage Held but Just Ourselves by StarSpray is an exploration of the line of Melian and Thingol's relationship with death. The whole fic is fantastic, but chapter 3 specifically deals with Elwing.
Elvenkings by am_fae is such a beautiful and sad look at the Doriathrim after the fall of the kingdom. It focuses on several characters, but Elwing is one of them and it handles her so well!
A Fish Hook, an Open Eye by simaetha is a tasty, dark Elwing/f!Maglor where things don't go quite according to plan when Maglor comes to negotiate with Elwing in Sirion.
Après Moi, le Déluge by HerenorThereNearnorFar is such a heartbreaking and tender look at Elwing's relationship with her children.
The Longed For That Cometh Beyond Hope by am_fae does an excellent job capturing the energy of the moments just after Earendil and Elwing secure the Valar's aid against Morgoth.
Was Dancing There by StarSpray is a quick, sweet look at Elrond's childhood with Elwing in Sirion and what remains of the heritage of the Doriathrim.
A Fiend in Feline Shape by Aipilosse deals with the house of Dior and Nimloth generally; Elwing is not the focus, but she is in it, and it's a delightful fic.
Less Flesh than Stone by crackinthecup is the confrontation in Aman that Elwing deserves with Maedhros.
Ebb and Flow by swanmaiden. Elwing is feeling the strain of her pregnancy and Earendil is so gallant as to help her out how he can. I really love how this fic shows the support these two had from their community in Sirion.
Joy is a Bird, a Fragile Thing by estuarie is a deeply touching reunion between Elwing and Elrond in Valinor TT_TT
Friendship and Stern Demand by polutropos is a fantastic look at the correspondence between Elwing and Maedhros prior to the Third Kinslaying.
From the Ones Who Came Before by Kirta is a great look at Elwing and Earendil's life growing up in the Havens. I am always a fan of childhood friends-to-lovers Starwing.
How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful by swanmaids is a great series of scenes of Earendil and Elwing and their life in Sirion, and dealing with the trauma of their childhood.
A Light Burns in the Forest by tinnurin is about how Elwing escaped Menegroth during the Second Kinslaying with Oropher and Thranduil. Really captures how terrifying and chaotic the assault on Doriath would have been.
We Build Castles with Our Fears and Sleep in Them Like Kings and Queens by TheLionInMyBed is more about Idril, but it does also take a look at Idril's relationship with Elwing.
So Summer Comes by potatoesanddreams does a beautiful job of exploring how Elwing's trauma and grief sometimes make it hard for her to be present for her kids while remaining sympathetic.
A Loss of Something I Ever Felt by Arriviste is a fic about Finarfin, but section 4 has his meeting Elwing and Earendil, and it is overall such a beautiful and well-written fic.
At the Water's Edge by crackinthecup takes a look at Elwing's relationship with Idril and what they share in terms of traumatic experiences.
Coastin' by swanmaiden. Heather handles these characters with such love and it really shows! Earendil is always looking to please his wife ;D
Beacon by polutropos has that yummy Starwing reunion smut after Earendil returns to port. A really fun married couple dynamic here!
For Elwing positivity in general I have to @swanmaids because she is the #1 Elwing stan that I know of, so if you want a blog to follow which is 100% pro-Elwing, there she is!

hi, saw your tags on the turgon post and have to ask, noldor funerary cannibalism fic? please share if you have it handy?
It's this one,
The summary goes,
A man is never dead while his name's spoken, the Edain say.
Say the Eldar: one is never lost whose taste is yet on someone's lips, whose heart is still in someone's belly.
If Maeglin thought the Elves of Gondolin were taking poetic license, it was not for long.

Hi, sally! Can you answer 1, 3, 18 and 20 from the spread love, please? ^^
Thanks, @ettelene! This list has been such a treat to work through. So, for a rainy Monday evening (it was for Monday morning, but we've all been suffering through the Great AO3 Outage and I wanted to be able to link):
A fanon characterisation that you love. Fëanor in @thearrogantemu's And What Happened After. He learned Westron from Frodo and made a perfect meal out of nothing right after returning from Mandos and I was in love. It just got better from there. Go read it!
One of the best takes you’ve ever seen. I love the foundling theory of origins for characters of uncertain ancestry, and two of my all-time favorites are The Storc Brought Him and related works by @thelioninmybed and @imindhowwelayinjune (a hilarious but also somehow very moving theory of Gil-galad's parentage) and dawn song by @arrivisting (the best Findrahil I've read and a tender and delightful Gildor Inglorion origin story).
Something you initially did not like but came around to. I've answered this already, but here's another: Silly, sexy Finrod. I do love a thoughtful, powerful, sorrowful, werewolf-noshing Felagund, and generally prefer that perspective on him. Nevertheless, I have fallen hard into the Finrod parody world -- sending unethical anthropologist Ingo prancing around Arda is an absolute delight.
Give kudos to someone who is a devoted fan (either of your own works or others’). Three cheers for wisteria53, who I don't think is on tumblr (if I'm wrong, please let me know where to link). A terrific cheerleader and supporter of writers, a reliable and encouraging commenter on EVERYTHING, and just all-around delightful. Thank you!

Note
4, 12, 33 for the fic ask! (Glad to see you haven't died from boredom! :))
4. I’m particularly inspired by LiveOakwithMoss and Thelioninmybed on AO3. I just love their self deprecating characters and dark humor. I’m also inspired by my favorite kink authors. ITKYK. 😉
12. I’m very excited for my two @tolkienrsb fics, but I cannot post any snippets from those yet. Look out for them September 1st.
33. I write all of my fics on my phone using Google Docs and run them through Grammarly for clarity. It can be a long, tedious process depending on how fat my fingers are feeling that day.
thanks for the asks @curanthir
