ignore me. i'm just thinking about how both luke and percy absolutely refused to become a name on annabeth's list of people that abandoned her. except how luke and percy become juxtaposed because they're trying to do the same thing for completely different reasons. because percy gave her a sense of love and security for her. but luke gave her a false sense of love and security for himself. because percy spends the entire series kind of fumbling her but ultimately proving that he's serious about being whatever she will need. but luke spends the entire series manipulating her and ultimately proving that he's fixated on being whatever she used to need. because percy spends the series convincing her that he is a man of his word. but luke spends the series in denial of a broken promise. because percy is annabeth's future. and luke is annabeth's past. but you know what they say about nostalgia.

What will be interesting is from that I think they will acknowledge the crap Kate got pre marriage too, a section on how women marrying into that family are treated before, and talking about that with compassion and frustration, before driving in the fact Meghan's abuse had more layers to it than that though. It's a fact it was consistent with no let up, it being driven heavily by racism whether media wants to deny it or not and with it coming at least partially from within the Palace walls itself.
And I think that could be a section that while yes Harry and Meghan speak out against the press abuse, it could very well be an area of the documentary that the historians feature heavily in?

the way people online talk about autism is getting really weird, like do they know that neurotypicals still have interests? that someone being passionate about a hobby doesn't mean they're autistic? you guys know that right

literally so embarrassing to have someone go "i don't go here" or "what's this from?" on my art and it's a rarepair/crackship that is in no way representative of the source material... and i have to be like. well you see, the rest of the restaurant's menu is not like this. i'm doing my own thing eating black olives right out of the can in the back-of-house. whether or not you want me to throw you a can, you have to understand that's not what they serve out front

i wish there wasn’t such a stigmatized view on platonically loving people.
I can’t call people nicknames and pet names like hun and honey without them immediately assuming i have romantic interest in them.
i can’t tell my friends i love them without adding on “platonically” or shortening the phrase “ily” “love you” “love u”
i love a lot of people. i love my sister, i love my boyfriend, and i love my best friend. All different versions of love.
let us love people openly and honestly without it being seen as “making a move” or being romantically interested.
please please please stop assuming that love is strictly romantic, i promise you life becomes so much brighter and bigger when you stop keeping love strictly romantic.

if you donate one single us dollar to the unrwa, you will have donated more money than you would have by clicking that stupid arab.orb link every day for four and a half years. yes, they do actually donate money to the unrwa, but even with tens of thousands of clicks, most of that money is the baseline $90 they send every quarter. from 2023 quarter 4, half a million clicks turned into $380.57. maths out to six hundreths of one cent per click. just donate to unrwa.

Incredibly alarming that talks of “peace” in Gaza seem to extend no further than a ceasefire. How do you think they’re gonna start off where they left off themselves? Their houses are destroyed, so many have lost mothers and fathers and brothers and children, they still have no clean water and no food. Any area Israel withdraws out of is an area it already knows has been rendered inhospitable. There was even a direct quote by some IOF soldier gleefully stating how he “wasn’t sure Palestinians could go back to their homes.” So what happens when the US “succeeds at negotiating a ceasefire”? Who will be responsible for helping the Palestinians rebuild all that they’ve lost?
