Rings of Power. Art by @marimosalad. I love this shot in the show, and this drawing captures the "penitent" feel of it. The light as well as those few outlines are most skillfully used!

Discworld. Art by @songthursh. This is just brilliant. The golden-lighted scene in the foreground, and the night-blue-colored part with Havelock serve as a perfect contrast. I could ramble on, this is such a masterpiece.

Foundation (TV show). Art by @gaal-dornick. The hands, and the way the objects held symbolize the connection between these characters, the abstract background, and basically everything, are most impressive.

I was tagged by @somebirdortheother to share seven sentences of my writing. Thank you!!!!!

I’ve been working on my Roman fic, so here’s a little bit from that;

“Aurelia,” he hummed once, then again, his breathing slowly evening out. “Why didn’t you go to Eboracum like we agreed?”

“I couldn’t leave without you,” she said plainly, though her reasons felt obvious. Eboracum was a big city, a place to disappear, Galadriel would have never forgiven herself if she’d left and he couldn’t find her again. Or Celeborn did instead and she was dragged back north, kicking and screaming, for the sake of the child.   

Halbrand muttered something guttural under his breath that she didn’t understand, sighing as she traced the healing cut that ran through his left brow and down to the corner of his eye. “This better not be another dream.”

I’m still reeling that this “won!” My submission for the “Galloping Abs” challenge to use a ridiculous smut word in under 2K. Nothing like some Victorian sensibilities and a shared body heat trop to help the word “Ham Clam” go down smoothly🤣🤣.

Summary: Based on the world of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s world’s greatest detective: Mr. Mairon Halbrand manages to bring his partner and … well… friend he would suppose, back to their flat in Baker Street. But Doctor Galadriel Noldor is waiting at death’s door from their latest run in with the evil Prof. Morgoth. But, her time will not run out, not if Mr. Halbrand has anything to say about it.

So I joined a challenge, organised by @scriberated, to write a Haladriel piece between 500-2000 words containing an assigned "creative" term for bodily anatomy which we had to take seriously. My term was "dome shaped doughnuts", so I made it all about doughnuts, and baking themed porn. I was tagged by @jammerific with the words "sudden, large, cold" to find in my WIPs. Thank you, this is very fun!

I only have one WIP right now (a bizarre world for me!), a Wen Ruohan/Lan Qiren canon-divergence fic.

Sudden

The cord simply could not cut the monster's neck, no matter how much power he fed it. Lan Qiren was on the verge of suggesting they switch tactics—when all of a sudden, the water erupted.

Large

Wen Ruohan stared at him with eyes that had gone very large, his lips slightly parted, his hair falling in a dark curtain around his face.

Cold

His face was lined and his eyes were cold and tired. But he was looking at Lan Qiren with the same hungry smile from their youth, so pleased to see him and always eager for more.

Ha, I always get self-conscious when excerpting prose. It reads fine in the story as I skim, but then feels so weird when pulled out on its own.
