There’s abusing your power and then there’s using the knowledge that your student is at the school on a scholarship (and needs scholarships for further education) against them so that they do all of your dirty work and so that should anything go wrong the student is the one who loses everything while you get off scot-free

Khaotung saying Ayan and Akk got married after the degree, having a simple yet beautiful life, fight like normal couples (because yes Akk looks so cute when he gets angry) and his favorite character is Ayan... SAME.

Overall, I enjoyed the episode, but it felt more like I was watching FirstKhao than AkkAye. So, I present to you how this episode would have gone if Akk and Aye had actually been in character:
Never in a million years would Akk pick a fight just because he thought Aye forgot his birthday. Sulking because Aye forgot his birthday? Sure. Being genuinely angry about it? Absolutely not. You know very well that Akk—with his abundance of self-esteem issues and his raging inferiority complex—would not expect Aye to remember his birthday in the first place. In fact, he probably wouldn’t even tell him he had a birthday. “Me? Being born? No, don’t worry about that. There’s no reason for you to go out of your way buying me a present. Would you like a present? I could get you a present.”
Aye would not just ignore Akk’s discomfort and let it fester. That boy is the king of “look me in the eyes and tell me about your feelings.” At the first sign of tension, he would have sat Akk down, cupped his adorable cheeks between his hands, and said, “Do you want to tell me what’s bothering you? No? Well, what if I bribe you with kisses? Then can we talk about it?”
And when Akk finally did tell him what was bothering him, Aye never would have been so dismissive. Like are you kidding me? He knows Akk, he knows his insecurities. That boy would have apologized so fast and then immediately spilled the beans about the surprise party he’s clearly planning.
Also, do you really expect me to believe that Aye would have slept anywhere other than with Akk if Akk was an option? It would have been angry cuddles all the way. “Stop. I’m mad at you.” / “Can we just be mad tomorrow? I want to go to sleep.”

The Sign - Ep 4
*sexy sound*: hooya! This series keeps on giving ✨
Let me start by saying that this whole police-investigative part is extremely silly, funny and not reflecting reality (apart from the moment when captain inspector team leader Akk says "that a victim is a victim no matter the gender"), but who am I kidding! I'm not here to analyze police work! So I completely ignore this part. Although I must admit that the police part provides incredible entertainment in the form of Captain Inspector Team Leader Akk (always), the introduction of a new, cool character accompanied by the dramatic sounds of classical music, or the interruption of an intense scene between MLs with important information about the discovery of severed genitalia 👌👌
Apart from that, as always, I like everything. I love how Tharn is shown as just a regular horny gay dude who just thinks about dicks lol How many other BLs, where b stands for BOY, show this? I also like that his fantasies are of him letting Phaya do things to him, being vulnerable by exposing his neck, being pinned down, covered by his lover's body. I also liked that Tharn relives these fantasies in the light of day and indulges in them 🤩 Oh, "sleep wherever you like" was an invitation and that's a fact you will have to pry from my cold, dead hands 😤
I love how this show keeps creating "their things", constantly building them into a couple that has their own behaviors and traits in common, before they even become a real couple. Now it's a shirt grabbing. I love it, I love it when something like this appears and I know 100% that I and the rest of the fans are in these moments like 👀👀 *di Caprio pointing at tv meme*. For me, it's a very important part of a romance when the couple has their "things". "Don't let me hear you talking about you being dead ever again" is such a powerful phrase. Raw. Just as Phaya likes.
I REALLY LIKED THIS WHOLE SCENE WITH THE FURIOUS PHAYA. Everything was perfect here. I really like that Phaya got the opportunity to show this side of him. That he is shown as an angry man, that he is not an ideal man who can control his - also negative - emotions in every situation. Normally, I don't like or tolerate such situations, because the reasons for such outbursts are usually stupid. In this case, I absolve Phaya of his aggressive behavior and his outburst of anger towards Tharn, pushing him away. It wasn't ignoring his calls, which Phaya immediately confronted and resolved. It wasn't an outburst out of jealousy or something like that. This is a completely different, serious situation that only partially concerns his relationship with Tharn. I'm absolutely sure that Phaya has often wondered whether he is mentally ill and that it is a source of a serious fear for him. Mental illness is a taboo in all cultures around the world, as Tharn himself says at the beginning of the series regarding his visions. A physically ill person will be perceived differently than a mentally ill person and Tharn knows this, PHAYA KNOWS THIS and Dr. Poison knows this. The second thing is that Phaya genuinely cares for and trusts Tharn. So at this point Phaya is in agony because not only has his most personal fears been brought to light, it was done by a stranger, a person he can't stand, who is his rival, who finishes him off with the final blow in a calm way when everything inside him is falling apart, but what's more, the blow came from a direction that Phaya DIDN'T expect at all. Phaya asks Tharn several times: "Why did you do that?" because he feels BETRAYED. Phaya is also a proud man who wants his beloved to see only "good and cool" qualities in him, which is completely normal in any relationship, hence his heartbreaking question "DO YOU THINK I'M NUTS?" Really, this scene is great: - Phaya angry, humiliated, hurt, betrayed, barely able to control himself (but even then he doesn't hurt Tharn, the scene is full of aggression and screaming, but Phaya never once crosses the impassable (for me) boundary, he doesn't beat Tharn, it's not even a fight, only two adult, trained men, one of whom pins the other) -Tharn, who is shocked because for the first time Phaya ignores him, does not look at him, it is clear that he is truly angry with him. You can see how Tharn is lost in this new situation, as he stands uncertainly and asks "I'm talking to you. Can you hear me?". And even then, he immediately shows concern for Phaya and his wound on his forehead
I'm grateful for showing this version of Phaya, and also for showing him as a silly, goofy guy throughout the episode in various funny scenes. 👌👌
My theory is that Tharn didn't tell the doctor about Phaya's dreams, I feel like the doctor KNOWS about everything and is a figure who simply has knowledge of what's going on as a deity. He knows when Tharn is especially close to Phaya, as seen in the temple scene, the kiss scene, in breaking of the photo frame, also when he tells Phaya that they will see each often other from now on, when he invites him to dinner with the clear intention of destroying him. I feel like the doc just KNOWS about Phaya's dreams.
Wild theory time! To expand on my original theory, this old woman/girl has helped Wansarat in the past and is helping him now. Wansarat is reborn and in each incarnation dies in childhood as punishment for what he did while saving his lover, Garuda. But this time he survived because he was placed under the care of the abbot of the temple, which is,in a way, his temple. And now, for a first time, Wansarat as Tharn is all grown up and delicious and the one for whom Wansart was originally intended - Dr. Bitch - he finally has a chance to get him. If it weren't for that Pesky Bird 😀

Here are some headcanons I have about the Bad Batch’s pets.
Hunter: He’s a dog person, unsurprisingly. He’s probably going to end up owning a pack of them. I think that, out of a desire to have pets that can hold their own, he’d end up with ones that are super frigging dangerous (despite his repeated admonitions of Omega bringing home rather violent animals). Some options would be the vornskr (dogs that hunt Force-sensitives; Hunter would end up training it not to attack Omega but everyone else should step carefully), the charhound (fire doggo), the Raquor'daan (dog with a skull face and scorpion tail), the Coromon headhunter (literally eats heads), the Howlerunner (another dog with a skull for a face), the akk dog (Force-sensitive dogs from Mace Windu’s homeworld; probably terrified the vornskr into leaving it alone), and the early death dog (he has no ground to criticize Omega for bringing home dangerous pets). Who knows, he might find a strill somewhere and add it to the pack.
Crosshair: He already has Batcher, but he could do with some more therapy animals. For instance, the scarred tooka cat that despises everyone who isn’t him with a fiery passion. Or the ice vulture that decided that he was its new parent and now sits on his shoulder glaring at everyone. Or the nexu kitten that, like the vulture, is firmly convinced that he’s its mom. Crosshair has resigned himself to his fate.
Wrecker: You’d think he’d have something big and tough and intimidating. Instead, Wrecker has a deep love for hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, rats, and mice. One of them is named Mr. Nibbles. It seems like the kind of pet ownership that would end in tragedy, given Wrecker’s enhanced strength and over enthusiastic behavior, but he’s very gentle with his. If you upset him, you will get glared at by several dozen angry rodents. Of course, that would be the least of your problems.
Tech: He likes bugs and fish. Their workings and behaviors are fascinating, especially the bugs, and he finds the movements of the fish soothing. He claims that he isn’t attached or anything, but the fact that he’s named 90% of them causes a lot of side eying.
Echo: He didn’t need a pet. He didn’t want a pet. So why, through some sequence of events he doesn’t quite follow, does he now own a rancor?
Omega: Last week she brought back an abomination of Sith alchemy with too many tentacles and eyes. It spits acid, guards mind-shattering secrets, and likes to eat sentient flesh. It also acts like a puppy around her and lets her braid its hair(????). (Whatever she’s decorating, it’s not hair.)

What if in girl Max everyone thinks she's together with Dan but she is also with Charles.
Huge confusion and fights because someone thinks she cheated and they raised her better than that.
When the truth comes out everyone is supportive and all
Omg👀👀
Totally Dan going "this is my girlfriend Max and her boyfriend Charles" cos he would just be so cheeky about it akks.
So much panic and angry Toto thinking someone is cheating is Max or Max is unfaithful herself, judt a mess!
It takes Toto and Susie a while to understand , and they can only fully accept it when Max brings both over and they see how well the three work all together. Max is thriving with them and Lando likes that there are more people to play race cars with now!

i cant BELIEVE the dika reveal happened and it wasnt for shock value. it wasnt something akk overheard or aye exclaimed in a moment where he was so angry he lost his head. aye deliberately and carefully told the truth. and it didn't rip akk apart in the way i thought it would. it didnt make him yell at aye for keeping the truth from him, it didn't make them grow apart. he leaned so hard on ayan and sobbed about it and aye held him, and after that there was so much mutual understanding in the way they looked at each other. it was everything i never could have hoped for tbh

🏅👨🏼‍🤝‍👨🏻👬 for the ask game...
🥇My personal favorite BL of all time...
Tumblr media
I think it'd have to be I Told Sunset About You, it is an absolutely beautiful piece of media, just perfection in every way. This show cracked me open, it made my brain fuzzy, I had to watch it three times before I could even manage to analyze any part of it at all because it made me want to chew wallpaper.
The only show that could beat ITSAY for me in terms of its quality, build up, character complexity, and emotional toll it took on me is 180 Degrees Longitude Passes Through Us, but I don't qualify that as a BL.
👨🏼‍🤝‍👨🏻Favorite main couple...
Tumblr media
Akk and Ayan from The Eclipse. I love my extremely morally gray pieces of shit so much. I love how rough and messy they are. I love how suppressed and brainwashed Akk is, how much he has to go through to realize he's been manipulated. I love how Ayan's grief erupts and leaves shrapnel. First and Khaotung, in my opinion, had really difficult jobs when it came to portraying these characters, with how much emotional complexity Akk and Ayan both had going on at all times. I love juicy character dynamics, I love meaty plots, and I think that Akk and Ayan are so perfectly suited to the story they are in.
But honestly, I have so many boys I love dearly it is really hard to choose.
👬Favorite side couple...
Tumblr media
Heart and Li Ming from Moonlight Chicken. I love so much what these boy symbolize, how their relationship stems from the same root of desperately wishing to be understood by the people they love. How much they signify freedom to one another. I love that Li Ming is allowed to be broody, to get angry, to be withdrawn from his relationship to Jam. I love that Heart is allowed to be angry, to be smart, to be so goddamn lonely. I love that Aof gets in to the isolation that so many Deaf children in hearing families experience.

ayan being so happy this whole episode and then seeing the threat of all of it being ripped away again, how angry and sad he was defending akk from this grown man, knowing that no other adult will help him. The way he forces himself to pull it together when he sees akk head for the roof. How he comforts him and shares his secrets and tries with everything he has to tie akk to life and himself and the world :((((

somehting i can't really get out of my head are the acting choices the main four make - especially when it comes to their eyes, and how much that gives away about their characters and gives way for theories
thua has deeply patient and incredibly kind eyes, something that is a give because louis does, but i think it's really just emphasised in the show. he looks at the world with not necessarily a positive outlook, but with a kind one all the same because he perceives things and understands them before interacting i think. he'd rather stand back and form his own opinion than to be dragged into things, and he knows how to stand his ground in a way that lets him be calm and in peace. thua looks at people and gets them, some maybe more than other but he understands them and he treats them kindly if they deserve it and if they don't, well. that's their problem and not his
in contrast we have can and my god, neo really puts that boy in pain. it's incredible honestly because he still has that comedic, class clown kind of side to him but the second he gets a chance to let that slip away, anytime he looks at thua he looks like he's in actual, physical pain. kan knows what's going on, kan knows what he wants and who he wants and thinks that he can't have that because it's not "right". he's dealing with his internalised homophobia while feeling like he doesn't have any support with it, and now the one person he feels safe with is pulling away and still looking at him kindly and he knows that thua is right but can't do anything about it. so he's in pain instead, and i wonder what will bring about the breaking point - when he can't keep that at bay anymore
same goes for akk, honestly. i've known first is an incredible actor ever since not me, but he's really putting his all into akk, because even if akk's face is neutral his eyes speak volumes. akk looks terrified whenever he's near ayan, or when something happens that he now has to deal with, when yet another responsibility or stressor falls on him that he has to figure out. with ayan especially he's confused and scared because we've been shown that he doesn't have experiences with romantic relationships (ace!akk would work so well because of this), so his first object of affection being a boy? who does nothing but cause trouble and forces him to rethink rules akk's been religiously following for years? absolutely terrifying. that also explains his reluctance with ayan, even though he's clearly aware of his feelings on some level - it's something he's too scared to really get into because it'd throw his whole idea of the world into a blender
and ayan? well. ayan has a fire in his eyes that keeps on flickering. khaotung is delivering emotions like sucker punches through minute shifts in ayan's face and eyes and it's incredible to watch. ayan burns for the revolution and revenge that he wants and needs to bring around, and that fire is what keeps him fuelled, it's what makes him flirt his way through interactions with akk because that's fun and easy, and that fire is what makes him so fiercely angry at the world. he needs to keep it stoked because if he doesn't, then we see him mourn and grieve, we see him falter from that cocky bastard who won't back down into just a boy who lost his rolemodel, and who feels alone in this new school and his mission, and who holds incredible amounts of gentleness, and fondness and love inside but doesn't know how to share it, or who to share it with (because being with akk and akk being who he is at this point in time would go entirely against ayan's ideals, lets be real)
i don't really have a point with this, i'm just very grateful for the cast for doing such an incredible job with their characters and the show and that we get to see these four hopefully find their happiness in a way that lets their eyes smile too

So @akaane000 and I were discussing something and akkayan came up - specifically, the sun/moon interpretations and the different ways they can be looked at. In my writing, I've often written them as not sun/moon but more like both of them being the eclipse, hence show name.
Varsha had a fascinating take on it:
I would pin ayan as the sun and akk as the moon. sure, the story seems to be revolving around akk because he's in the center of it all, but in reality, the story revolves around ayan and his grief and akk simply becomes part of the system that's been going round and round for a while now. also, akk is the head of the prefects but no one really relies on him personally uk? he's always seen alone, performing his duties in solidarity, caring for everyone around him and not knowing how to handle that pressure. but ayan, he's always surrounded by people, people rely on him, come to him for advice - he's like the leading light, and soon ends up being that for akk too, though ayan seems to believe more that akk is the one leading him out of darkness.
[...] and that's fair. akk is the moon and he shines brighter when his sun (ayan) is next to him. maybe bright enough for ayan to only be able to see akk's light and not his own and that's why akk helps ayan too, telling him how important he is. the moon can never really see its own light , having been working from the shadows for too long and that's where ayan comes in, showing akk that he's everything wonderful and that he matters
But also, a point could be made that Aye is the moon because he has so many 'stars' surrounding him, whereas Akk is the sun because no one else gets close to him and he seems to be untouchable, of sorts. Also, in the frame of Suppalo, Akk is the sun - seemingly bright and unreachable, burning anyone who comes too close. He's strict and angry as a facade, and he's also genuinely full of a fire and energy that's made him who he is (we learn that when Akk first came to Suppalo, he often got into fights which... yeah). Also also, Akk's arson charges is a very in your face reasoning, but it's there. Plus it also reflects how Akk is the one who warms up Aye's grieving, broken heart.
On the other hand, Aye is much more calmer - at least, on the surface. His presence in the story, and in Akk's life, is like the moon - gibbous at first and slowly growing until he's bright and proud, a full moon at its best. The moon also has romantic connotations ie romance under the night sky and 'the moon is beautiful today' - which is very Ayecore, I think. He reflects back Akk's light, shows him that he's bright in his own right.
I'd love to know - what's the general consensus on the topic? 🌙 🔆

Okay so @heretherebedork is making a poll on which couple deserves a happy, dark, open or bittersweet ending and I get people want the happy ending for Sand and Ray..
BUT MY DRAMATIC ASS, who is still angry after The Eclipse ended in such a dull boring annoying way, wants something real bad to happen to make up for it. Because gmmtv didn't compromise with the reality of how fragile the human heart is, and now that we have another character on the verge of breaking point (TE was Akk here is Ray) I want them to break him. Really show the ultimate consequences.
Ray is a man with such self destructive behavior that irl doesn't get fixed by the magic of love but they drag people down with them. My boy is has such self destructive tendencies he might become codependent on Sand, and his warmth, and his transparency and his liquor. Like.. cOme OOON. Do you really think them pairing up the alcoholic with the boy that makes booze is a coincidence?
I want Ray to become addicted.
I want Sand to see him loose himself despite the love he might develop for him.
I want Nick to notice Sand become overwhelmed because he's trying so hard to get Ray to come to his senses that he doesn't come home anymore.
I want Sand to realize he enables his self pity and leave.
I want Ray to see himself alone again.
I need that breaking point. I want the splash of cold water. The pain of loving someone that refuses to help themselves and refuses help from others.
And that's when everyone else realizes life is not a game. When they have to comfort a Sand that loved and fought for someone that didn't fight alongside him. That's when Mew and Top stop their mess. That's when Boston sees the pain he caused Nick and asks for forgiveness. That's when the bar starts cutting off people when they're too drunk.
I need that ticking time bomb to actually explode.
And YES IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE I SPEND TOO MUCH TIME ON AO3 READING ATEEZ FANFICTION BUT THATS MY PROBLEM.
I know that's 100% not what's gonna happen. But I can't help it.
