I'm a sucker for first kisses, and practice kissing, what are your thoughts on how that would go with Thiefshipping?

omg. ok so im gonna be honest I see both of them as super emotionally constipated creatures so I can't see them doing practice kissing unless it is a haha this is SO stupid. you agree this is stupid right? joke, and this is only after they have established some sort of friendship. I can't see Bakura initiating this in any way since I overall just don't see him as having a lot of interest in those kinds of things. I guess I could see Marik starting it in the aforementioned hey you know what would be stupid way

a first kiss i can see happening in two specific situations

1. a heat of the moment situation like an argument or a moment of genuine vulnerability and honesty between the two of them that happens somewhere during the middle of their partnership that freaks both of them out, which results in them distancing themselves from one another

2. this one is so angsty but it's my favorite 😭 in a post-canon setting where Marik is able to bring Bakura back, Bakura would be such a broken man. At first he'd even resent Marik for bringing him back because he wouldn't understand why he would do such a thing after he failed so miserably. He'd feel so purposeless and alone after losing everything and everyone he cared about.

But Marik would be surprisingly patient with him because he knows what it's like to feel like you don't deserve to be alive. He had his siblings to help him through those dark moments but Bakura has no one, and for some reason he feels compelled to be that someone for him.

Bakura would have so many trust issues and it'd take a while. I don't think either of them would realize what they feel for each other really is, or even care to dissect it. Marik only knows that he cares for Bakura and that he wants help him, meanwhile Bakura doesn't want to feel anything at all.

In this scenario, I think Bakura would definitely initiate their first kiss. It'd be the moment when it finally clicks that Marik is not lying to him and he actually gives a damn about him; something would take over him and he'd lean in for a kiss.

Hi YuGiOh twitter! I am looking for YuGiOh mutuals. This is a sideblog and I follow from vampiremonday at present.

I’m 30, soon to be 31, and I write fanfic when I can and multiship. Particular interests in encourageshipping, puzzleshipping, puppyshipping/violetshipping, and thiefshipping but open to others. Also into gen, found family, and general friendship and love winning stuff.

Malik can’t read kanji and that Ryou collects animal skeletons and bugs that you pin up.

V - Which character do you relate to most?

I definitely vibe with Malik a lot, and as a kid I really loved his character because I could relate to his situation a little bit. Basically, I was just super sheltered and homeschooled, and felt trapped in my home with my siblings lol. Also he’s a bitch like me

Top 10 Yu-Gi-Oh ships

Happy Valentines day!  I think today would be fitting to share my favorite yugioh ships!  If you’ve been on here since the beginning, you already know what number one is, but nonetheless.  My top 10 yugioh ships.

10. Revolutionshipping (Yami x Anzu) - This, along with another ship on the list was my first Yu-Gi-Oh ship, and so it has a special place in my heart.  I don’t think Yami returns her feelings in canon, but to say that he doesn’t care about her at all is bullshit.  I like how these two have a close bond, and if Atem didn’t have to leave, and have some more time to spend together, I could see these two going from a friendship to a romance.

9. Sparkleshipping (Kisara x Mana) -  The first of my rarepairs, this ship has grown on me recently.  If these two ever met, I believe they would get along really well.  Mana’s cheerful attitude would help Kisara’s insecurities, as well as her compassion would help Kisara be more confident in herself.  Also, I don’t know about others, but having a dragon for a girlfriend would be awesome!

8. Thiefshipping (Marik x Bakura) - The abridged series, enough said.

7. Tendershipping (Ryou x Bakura) - I initially didn’t like this ship because of how Yami Bakura treats Ryou in canon.  However, the fandom has caused me to like fanon tendershipping.  In many of the fanfics I’ve read (mostly AUs), Bakura is this quiet and loner kind of guy, with Ryou giving him a chance at friendship, and letting Bakura’s heart open up.  Reading all these fanfics, as well as the fanart, have made me open my heart to this ship.

6. Peachshipping (Yugi x Anzu) - This was also my first Yugioh ship, so it has a special place in my heart.  When I was first watching Yugioh, I would always light up every time Yugi and Anzu had a moment together.  They were just so cute.  And they still are today.  Plus there were cute moments in Dsod, with Anzu elbowing Yugi, the high-five at the end (and seeing the two in HD animation).  I even have an OC for Yugi and Anzu’s daughter, Hikari.  Once Anzu becomes a famous dancer, there is a famous game developer waiting for her.

5. Mistakenshipping/Noviceshipping (Yugi x Mana) - This. Ship. Is… Adorable!!!  Just imagine, Yugi and Mana sitting under a shady tree in the palace garden, Mana showing off her magic tricks to Yugi, while Yugi shows Mana all the duel monster cards, including Dark Magician Girl.  These two have personalities that would go so well together.  I wish this ship was more popular, because it is an adorable ship with adorable characters.

4. Polarshipping (Jou x Mai) - This ship has a lot of wholesomeness.  I love how at the beginning, Mai and Jou were rivals and over time, they became friends, and now the care about each other so much.  Jou was devastated when Mai lost her duel, and stayed by her side as much a she could.  Oh, did I forget to mention that he PLACED HIMSELF IN FRONT OF AN EGYPTIAN GOD (THE STRONGEST ONE MIND YOU) TO PROTECT MAI, EVEN THOUGH SHE COULDN’T REMEMBER HIM INITIALLY.!? Moving onto Doma, there was so much Polarshipping angst, and it is awesome!  I hope Mai and Jou find each other again, they were made for each other.

3. Heartshipping (Yugi x Ryou) - This ship is 100% fluff.  Just imagine, Yugi and Ryou cuddling with a blanket wrapped around them.  Or how about the two giving each other hugs and kisses.  Both have a connection to the spirits of the past, and both have such kind hearts that will make even the darkest of monsters smile.  Overall, this ship is fluffy, and I will forever love these two together.

2. Blueshipping (Kisara x Kaiba) - I wish the Set and Kisara story wasn’t cancelled, but I understand why it couldn’t go on with Kazuki being sick.  But, I would still love for Kaiba to find someone that he would be happy with, besides Mokuba.  Kisara might live on in BEWD, but what if she got a modern reincarnation?  I feel like if Kaiba was with someone who shared a connection with Blue-Eyes, like Kisara did, he would be happy.  Kristina is my modern day Kisara, with a connection to Blue-Eyes.  You know, I would probably ship Kaiba with Blue-Eyes, itself, but having Kristina/Kisara around would also make him happy.

And 1.Puzzleshipping (Yugi x Yami) - This ship speaks for itself.  Yugi and Yami’s connection is the strongest that I have ever seen.  They feel each other’s feelings, they know exactly what the other is thinking, and they are always in each other’s heart.  These two love each other so much, and have shown many times the lengths they will go for each other.  Doma gave us a huge amount of puzzle angst, and the ending/final duel was one of the saddest endings in anime.  We all cheered when they got to see each other again in DSOD, and we hope they will meet again in the distant future.  There are the AUs where Atem stays, and he and Yugi start to date and become lovers.  What more can I say, this ship is flawless, and it is the best Yugioh ship!

Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated?

What’s interesting is that fandom gets me to ship things I never considered. XD Like for shows or books (Twilight fanfic) I would usually just think about how happy those characters must be by the end that I rarely consider any ship (My asexual nature is showing). I mostly cared before about platonic friendships viewing them important but not going farther into romance (still do even though I art romantic ships more than friendship). I barely participated with fandom but I did like drawing that Autor ship with the blonde girl due to @plushie-tusk. They were so much fun to color even if I forgot the context of what the blonde character was in the show outside of watering flowers. 

A pairing that I hate... Well... that’s tough because as I said I don’t really ship in most fandoms I am in and just like to see the happy endings. I would have to go with Thiefshipping because of my friend. She loves that ship and LittleKuriboh’s abridged series really does have a sort of comic dynamic. I didn’t particularly hate it though but was more... ‘Why’ and just accepted she liked it (She still does as she made a coloring book project for the pairing). Ge//ne//sisshipping at first I didn’t like and loathed because I was watching it when it aired and I am just sitting here like ‘We don’t know anything about them!’ yet after 126 and 127 preview that ship was exploding rapidly in content. Eventually I just accepted that they are part of the Straight 8 (Yu Counterpart x Bracelet Girl) as @checkurselfb4umachuwreckurself likes to call them. I just would have at least preferred if we knew anything about their dynamic (since that’s usually what pulls me in to ship something). Hateships in general or bullying dynamics were never a thing for me and no matter how popular the ship is no one can convince me otherwise that I will enjoy it. There is also you with Fluoriteshipping. I don’t like shipping abductor with their abductee no matter the situation (even if family was abusive) and Yuri and Rin are basically that trope. However reading your Amare Ab Invito preview and seeing the characterization you had for Yuri at the time I started to warm up a little. It wasn’t a simple ‘And now he loves her’ as I thought at first and more of a complex process during the writing. I could tell you spent a lot of time thinking about how it would work with their personalities and the dynamic in it is A++. Those are my only experiences with this.

Have you received anon hate? What about?

Surprisingly no (Not that it’s a bad thing). The most close experience I got was when I was drawing Pl//aci//do from 5d’s in a dry erase board and saying how he was a character I didn’t like because unlike Jose who appeared to consider people’s lives or even to remain in stealth mode with their plans Placido outright disregards the loss of lives even if it is to prevent the apocalypse in the future. It wasn’t an anon though and they just told me “If I cared about my follower count that I shouldn’t be bashing a popular character” or something like that. Which... when was Placido ever popular? That was news to me at the time. So I just responded with that ‘I don’t care about follower count.’ or something like that which I really didn’t at the time since I was new to Tumblr and social media and besides they weren’t even following me so ‘Shoo Shoo!’ you’re not a threat to me. 

I was (and still am) actually worried that people would have bashed me for my ships. Like that Elusionshipping and the recent Prayshipping. XD. Like who would come up with that? (This fan right here!) I even mentally prepare myself in case a random person asks me ‘Why I ship this?’ or ‘Why I don’t ship this instead?’. Luckily Arc-V fandom is small and I guess they are nice in general (or I am following the right people).
