So far a rough week that ends in an empty-feeling weekend i hope it gives me room to calm down a tad... im glad at least what i need to face are things that are out of my control (so, no guilt or responsability to take) and i can only let time and patience guide others to do their best while i do my best from this side.

Im still finding hard to concentrate and keep polishing comics and complex artworks that were scheduled for this month... so ill keep grabbing WIPs from my hoard and working on them when i feel like it.

And if something comes from it i feel proud about, ill share it. If not, it will probably see light sometime during the year. No rush about it.

I'm still early on in my transition, so my voice is still pretty high and with a mask on you can't really see my facial hair so I get called "m'am" and "miss" a lot... but today I experienced the most bewildering exchange yet.

At the airport, I hand over my ID to get my luggage checked and my boarding pass. My legal name is a traditionally masculine name. It's pretty early, mind you, and two of my friends already went through the whole hubbub. The lady behind the desk scans my ID, prints out the stub, and I see a brief moment of panic in her eyes before she says "Wait, may I see your ID again? I think I misspelled your name". I sigh and hand it over. This has happened before in which a secretary once thought my name was Gillian but spelled wrong (I wish I was joking. The hoops this lady was jumping through...)

Anyway, she holds my ID right in front of her nose, looks at her screen and then goes, in the most tired tone possible, "Oh, nevermind, I'm just sexist." She hands me my ID back, smiles brilliantly and says "you have a good day now!"

Sorry I haven’t been so active this week! I’ve been in a very vidya game mood, so I’ve been playing el.den rin.g and getting mentor on xiv. I’m bathing the dogs with my wife now, but after we get home from the salon, I’ll get to some drafts!
