“That doesn’t look too bad,” Max murmured as he continued to examine the sketch in front of him. The Alexander Wang sketch taunted his creativity skills, and if he was being honest— he didn’t even think he’d have one.

Sylvie hummed, her eyes looking down at her Pinterest board. She had just emailed her agent about the catsuit that she would be wearing, telling her that she was set and ready to go for the event. She only needed to work then she’d fly to New York as soon as the Russian GP came to an end. THAT and she needed to ensure that Max’s suit from Alexander McQueen was ready for the event as well.

“You said they’ll sew you into the catsuit?” Max asked, curious as to why Sylvie wasn’t responding with her words as he looked up. The Dutchman found her staring at her screen.

He looked around the room and had found an elastic hair tie lying next to the papers and Sylvie’s laptop, grabbing it carefully before flinging it in her direction. She flinched at the impact of the band, making Max giggle as Sylvie glared.

“Use your words, Emilian,” Sylvie hissed at him, grabbing the abandoned elastic before flinging it back to him. The man caught it in his hands as he continued to giggle.

“You’re the one who should use your words; I was asking you something,” Sylvie merely nodded as she stared mindlessly somewhere. Max’s brows raised, her silence prompting him to ask, “Alright, out with it. What are you thinking about?”

His words brought her back to reality, her eyes staring at his blue ones. She asked, “Can you cut my hair?”

“What- no!” Max exclaimed. Her hair was at shoulder length last Monaco GP, and now months later it returned to the rib cage length and continued to grow.

She had expressed how annoyed she could be having to put it up as she often ran around the grid, media pens and paddock to communicate with other PR managers and drivers. While Max empathized with her, he couldn’t help but think that her request was nothing but obtuse.

“Come on, Maxieeee~” Sylvie whined, begging him as she continued, “Just cut it to shoulder length and we’ll be sold.”

She was cute, indeed, but between Blanche Ford’s wrath and Sylvie— yeah no, Max would rather refuse Sylvie’s request. “No, I’m not going to cut it. Why don’t you head to a salon, instead?”

“I can save money and time if you did it,” Sylvie argued, petulance written all over her face but Max had the same look in his face.

“You’d think that being a Ford would help you afford a haircut,” Max sassed, remembering how Sylvie had practically slandered his outfit last January. “Even Lewis could get away with his hairstyle.”

“I’m telling Lewis,” Sylvie threatened with a pointed finger, but Max continued to stare at her with a challenging look. She easily gave in as she groaned, “Come on- I don’t have time to get a haircut at a salon.”

“Yes you do,” Max scowled. “Why can’t you just ask your agent to hire a hairstylist when we get to New York tomorrow?”

“Too much work,” Sylvie said, uninterested in his suggestion.

Max scoffed, “And you thought it’ll be a piece of cake if I did it?”

“Last resort,” Sylvie replied, her tone now showing her boredom as she sighed in annoyance.

“You are unbelievably lazy at times,” Max shook his head in amusement, pulling out his phone to text his own manager to see if they’d be able to hire a hairdresser for the event on Monday.

“I’d say a unique character,” Sylvie told him with an amused grin, her head leaning against the sofa as she looked up to the ceiling.

“Of course you would,” Max rolled his eyes.

“What, you don’t believe me?”

“It’s hard to believe you when you keep pulling my leg like a clown,” Max joked.

“You’re friends with a pathological liar,” Sylvie cackled, earning a laugh from her best friend. “If anything, you’re the clown for believing everything I say.”

He couldn’t help it. It was hard not to believe when you’d go to hell and back for her. They were so much like the modern day Lady Macbeth and Macbeth— except they weren’t really interested in taking over the world. It was just that Max could be easily manipulated by Sylvie (even if she doesn’t) and he’d let her get away from that.

His thoughts were interrupted by a text from his manager as he read it. He immediately responded with a simple thank you and a request.

“Don’t cut your hair— not right now,” Max instructed Sylvie, leaving the woman to shoot him a confused look as she wondered what prompted him to say that. He continued, “My manager’s generous enough to send an email for you— just so you can get your haircut. Because you want to save some time. It only took me ten minutes to get you booked—“

“Ugh you areeeee amazing, Maxie!” Sylvie squealed, hopping off the sofa to launch herself into his arms. She wrapped her arms around him for a second, then realized what she was doing before she pulled away with her cheeks heating up.

“Yeah, I know,” Max playfully shoved her off, “you’ve said that a lot of times. But then again as you said, you’re a pathological liar.”

“You know, I was excited about taking you to New York for the MET gala— Alexander McQueen even got you a suit that I definitely hadn’t personally overseen,” Sylvie huffed out, kicking Max lightly as she continued, “But then you agreed that I’m a liar- so now I’m regretting every single bit of it.”

“No you’re not,” Max snorted.

“You’re right. I’m excited to see you outside of your shitty skinny jeans and Red Bull polo combo.”

“Oh so now you’re shitting on my workday outfit?”

“Not just you— don’t be too self-conscious; even Daniel’s getting shit from me because of those skinny jeans. That man has thighs and he’s hiding them away through those ugly jeans? Ugh, seriously.”

FIRST MONDAY OF MAY

“Maxwell! Did you fit in the suit?” Sylvie called as her eyes were trained on the reflection of the bedroom door. Max stepped out of the room with an annoyed look, but her eyes were trained on the body that wore the suit.

She was surprised at how perfectly tailored the suit was for him. The details of his suit were intricate and had the same appearance and texture as the ones that she wore, but they have topped a black pinstriped fabric with the hand sewn lace and butterfly details. Underneath his double breasted blazer was a black silk shirt with white printed details.

The blazer had hidden away most of his sculpted upper body, but not his neck area. Wrapped around his neck was a white gold tennis necklace, glimmering under the chandelier of the suite as much as his watch did.

Cartier, as far as Sylvie knew. It was the one that she got for him on Christmas, after all. That and the Graff Diamonds wrapped around his wrist that she certainly hadn’t purchased for more than fifty grand. She definitely hadn’t bought something that expensive. Could you just imagine the stories that would come out if they realized that Sylvie’s love language was expensive gift giving?

But she couldn’t allow her eyes to linger any longer than she had as she looked up at Max’s annoyed expression. His Dutch accent rang out inside the suite quite a little bit louder that even the hairdryer was rendered slightly silent.

“First, you called me Emilio Estevez and now I’m Maxwell?” Max scowled, leaving the woman to grin cheekily as her hairdresser plugged in the straightener. “Yes I did fit in.”

“Good.”

“I was there for the fitting, Sylvie,” Max pointed out. He stood there for a moment to have his outfit fixed by Sylvie’s stylist, ensuring that his ensemble was displaying and showing in the right places. His hair was combed back and held in place by some hair gel, Sylvie thanking whichever god had gotten rid of his hat.

“You lose a lot of weight when you’re racing,” Sylvie shrugged nonchalantly, leaving Max to roll his eyes lightheartedly as he sat on the empty loveseat right by the window of the suite.

He sighed, already set to go as he stated aloud, “I’m surprised Tilly’s still invited.”

“As she should be,” Sylvie chuckled, remembering how sour it had turned out for her eldest sister when she worked at British Vogue.

Ever since the gossip/news outlet Fast Lane Daily published the article about Tilly’s immediate resignation in July 2014, the publishing company received a backlash about how poorly they recognized talent. Tilly returned in 2015, but she was just a guest at the MET Gala because of her prestigious title as an owner of a major company and a philanthropist. Some even said that it was Vogue’s karma for treating Tilly as a bait to get an inside look at a luxurious lifestyle like hers.

“You would think that with how she was treated she wasn’t going back,” Max said. “Now she’s here for what… the third time? And she isn’t just here as a staff member.”

“They didn’t think to care about who her family was,” Sylvie responded, “so when they got a glimpse of Toto in those photos, they immediately wanted to know what it’s like being a sugar baby to an older man.”

“If they only knew,” Max huffed a little, shaking his head in amusement as he remembered how TIME magazine had officially named her the richest woman after reaching her £1.5 billion by the end of 2016.

“Yup,” Sylvie laughed, “if they only knew.”

She promised she wasn’t going to look at her social media. The story that everyone ran about her and Max used to be tame and decent. But she began regretting her decision to bring him as a date when the topic tripled across Twitter and Instagram— even TMZ had something to say about that.

Her mind began spinning when she read the article about how she’d only bring Max along to make Abel feel terrible about himself. Her mind thought of it too much and began wondering if Max thought of it as that?

She felt disgusted with herself. She hadn’t done anything to make it up to him. She was a selfish prick, and she was here trying not to cry because her conscience continued to torment her. She didn’t deserve any help.

She reached down to text her manager, who should be somewhere in the venue.

Sylvie: Might not make it to after party. I feel sick.

Sarah J: Do you want me to call the chauffeur? Your sisters might look for you.

Sylvie: I’ll let them know l8r. Can’t breathe atm but pls.

She couldn’t even remember how she ended up falling off.

“Sylv,” she hadn’t even noticed that her anxiety knocked her unconscious until she felt a shake of her shoulders. The rapid beating of her heart returned when she saw Max, who had found her slumped against the wall after running around trying to figure out where the fuck west wing was.

There was nothing scarier than finding her in such a state. Miserable, in pain and suffering. It was petrifying, not knowing how to deal with the pain should he struggle to do so in public while they take her away. He really didn’t want to see her being taken away by an ambulance. Not anytime soon.

“Shit, good- you’re alive, good,” Max continued to swear as he placed his hand over her forehead, checking her temperature. She wasn’t too warm. Her body didn’t indicate anything about any illness— she just looked too pale.

“Fuck, fuck,” Sylvie cursed as she tried to stand, only to end up stumbling while Max supported her by grabbing her waist. “How long was I out?”

“I don’t know, but Sarah said you’ve last texted her when she approached me— six minutes ago,” Max sighed in relief, content that Sylvie could speak. “You looked dead, Sylvie. I got scared. Do you want to head back?”

“Please,” Sylvie nodded before biting her lip nervously, “you don’t have to come along— you can stay as long as you’d like— stay with Stevie and everything.”

“It’s nice to know you’re as equally idiotic as you were a few hours ago,” Max joked. “I’m exhausted. I'm coming along.”

“Max—“

“I'm tired, I’m not going to go just because,” Max raised a brow at her. “You need to stop thinking you’re being a bother. If it makes you feel better I’m going back because I’m beat. This fucking place is full of people I’d rather not get in the mix with.”

“I’m one of those people, bastard,” Sylvie scoffed, making Max roll his eyes.

“You’re trying to fool the only person who’s seen you shove Mick- a three year old- to the pool when we were five and act like you haven’t? Nice try. C’mon, stop wasting time— I want to sleep and you need to get away from this stupid place.”

“We should get something to drink on the way back,” Sylvie suggested in a mutter.

“Passing out from a panic attack doesn’t exactly call for alcohol,” Max told her off quietly, his hand slipping to hold hers as he continued to guide her towards The Great Hall, “you need your anxiety meds— not tequila. Quit being stupid. You’re too smart and pretty for that shit.”

“I should apologize,” Sylvie murmured as she wiped her face with a warm, damp cloth. She was dressed in nothing but some white tank top and striped pajama bottom, her shoulder length hair tied into a messy ponytail with strands hanging out. She was staring at her reflection while she wiped away the smudged mascara that she attempted to remove five minutes ago.

Max leaned forward the sink while his right hand brushed his teeth, now looking at Sylvie’s reflection with a questioning frown while his mouth was full of toothpaste.

“For being a prick,” Sylvie continued with a sigh, looking down at the stained cloth before she wiped the remains of her foundation. Finishing off, she started her skincare routine and washed her face. “You’ve done so much for me this past year— or years, whatever. And I’ve done fuck all for you.”

Spitting out whatever it was he had, Max gargled and rinsed off his mouth. “Was this about the articles that just came out?”

“Not really,” Sylvie denied.

“Yes it is,” Max chuckled, wiping his mouth with a clean towel. “Why are you apologizing for that?”

“I just explained why,” Sylvie’s eye peeked at him while she continued to massage her foam lathered face. “Or are you trying to get an ego boost from my humiliation?”

“No, I’m genuinely asking why,” Max replied, now setting his toothbrush down and leaning against the counter while he watched his best friend rinse her face with warm water. The Dutchman handed her another clean towel, watching as the Red Bull communications coordinator patted her face dry. “There’s no reason to apologize.”

“Are you deaf or just obtuse?”

“You weren’t being selfish, if that’s what you’re getting at,” Max pointed out. “You were upset at me for years. You left the academy because of me—“

“I was expelled.”

“And you never asked for any help,” he continued nonetheless, earning a heavy frown from the woman. “In no way you’re selfish. I’m giving this support because I want to— you didn’t ask for it.”

“I still was rude to you,” Sylvie justified.

Max chuckled, “Nothing new but alright.”

“Max Emilian,” Sylvie scolded him.

“I’m joking,” Max pinched her cheek, making the model swat his hand away. “You didn’t ask for help, which isn’t selfish. The only selfish part of it was that I never had the chance to fix it. I lost my best friend because of it.”

“Teenage angst must’ve sucked us all in, huh,” Sylvie rolled her eyes with a huff. “It does suck. Not being able to tell you about university and all that. I went through four years of not seeing Victoria and spending my time with Lando. But, if you think of it now— I’m still around you, no?”

“Not in the track,” Max muttered, guilt written all over his face as he continued, “you should have considered the academy’s offer to review your performance.”

“Meh,” Sylvie murmured, “it’s a waste of time. I’m way past my academy days, Max.”

“Never too late for the track to have the first woman to ever drive the RB17.”

“I’ll stick to my routine,” Sylvie shook her head. “It’s less traumatic. It’s bad enough that I see—“

“I know, I know,” Max chuckled.

There was a long pause between the two of them, staring at each other for a moment before Sylvie turned away. She then looked back at him with, “Thank you. For coming with me instead of flying back to the Netherlands.”

“I was just spending my time with Dad before we could fly back to England,” Max waved her off. “It’s nothing big.”

“Sure it is,” Sylvie scoffed, “he’s still your dad.”

She hadn’t needed to utter the words not a good one because they both knew the truth.

A strong feeling haunted the two of them so much they wondered how to make the first move.

They knew each other too well that they’d know how to act when they even try something new. But they didn’t know their hearts well enough to trust the instinct that they had. They knew that it was easier for them to make the move and be with each other already.

They were practically together. The only thing that they missed was the label, and the fact that everyone around them already knew what they were as a whole. Everyone rooted for them, but for some reason, moving forward wasn’t too… easy.

As if they’d rather love each other without putting it out there. It’s such a shame that they’re still proving people right that things would never work out the way everyone wanted it.

At least they’ve admitted how much they missed each other. It was a step forward.

i wasn't planning to login to tumblr during winter break but honestly, the comments i've seen on socials in response to susie's statement angered me so much i had to say something. the amount of people i've seen saying that her bringing up the fact that she's a woman and calling out the fia for their misogyny is "victim behaviour" is UNREAL.

i've also seen too many comments questioning why it was necessary for her to even bring this point up. you're blind if you think her gender is unimportant in this matter. when you're a skilled women in a position of power EVERYTHING is about your gender. lest we mention the fia and formula 1 are intrinsically misogynistic organisations. in 2021 the fia reported that only 35% of their employees were female* as if it was some sort of great achievement so don't ever tell me that's not the case. in this specific matter i think susie's gender is particularly important because i GUARANTEE that there are other male members of FOM (not mentioning names Bernie Ecclestone) and the fia (ex redbull spokes man MBS) who had inappropriately close relationships with teams in the past and therefore had the chance to pass privileged information to them without anyone batting an eye. and whilst it's true this situation is particular due to susie and toto's marriage, i question why then did they hire her in the first place? if they knew there was a potential conflict of interest the fia should've considered this before allowing FOM to employ her.

edit: not to mention f1 is a sport full of conflicts of interest... how is it okay for team principles or engineers or strategists or any other team member to pass from team to team without any need for a non-compete or sabbatical period? surely this poses a bigger issue when it comes to privileged information.

ok, so i got into f1 through dts in the past few years, and then stumbled across the brocedes rabbit hole recently. before that i didn't really know/like nico at all, because everyone made out like he was awful and obsessed with lewis. but i've just been watching the 2016 season, and not only is nico actually really nice (especially when he keeps being booed by crowds for literally no reason) but i have to say that i was shocked by how unreliable both mercedes cars were in that season. like, people make it out as though lewis' car was breaking down all the time and nico's was perfect, but in almost every race where lewis had car issues, so did nico. even watching the sky sports coverage (where they do talk almost non-stop about lewis and are definitely biased towards him), the number of times that they interview niki or toto going 'oh it was a perfect race for nico but car issues for lewis' and toto or niki say that actually both cars had issues is insane. also, people keep saying that nico would deliberately speak foreign languages in the cooldown room to exclude lewis (which im obviously not discounting), but in almost all of the cooldown rooms that they've shown for this season, it's just really awkward and quiet as they don't talk to each other, or anyone at all really. i feel like nico has just been done so dirty by everyone

i went through this exact journey of discovery too where I was like yeahhhh everyone hates this guy! boo 🍅🍅🍅 so I went looking deeper into why (so I can be an #informed hater) and then I was like HUH.... he's not the manipulative evil obsessed with lewis can't get over their past relationship dude he's portrayed in fanon or exacerbated by sky news. in fact he was well liked by the grid!!! he invited others on Air Rosberg so they could all go travel together. and don't get me started on The Narratives of it all. my man was getting booed at Silverstone or for beating lewis, and he was saying thank you to the fans... the tifosi booed him for winning Monza and he turned that around and made them sing with him!!! (and then kravitz called it embarrassing 😶)

the British sky coverage bias is SO real, and not do get me started on the crashes which are all framed as "Nico got envious and rammed into Lewis" and not the amount of times Lewis didn't leave enough space, or he was the one who caused it....... but I digress. the W-06s were kind of like the 2022 Ferraris where they were insanely fast but notoriously unreliable. fucking hell when Nico won the championship -- EVERYONE including his own team of Toto and Niki were talking about whether Lewis lost due to DNFs, and it took sebastian vettel to be like. hey. can we talk about Nico's deserved win tho?

lewis was asked if he thought the better man won and he said he didn't agree with that, and then when he retired was like "oh I'm not surprised, it's the first time he's won anything in 20 years." 🥴🥴🥴

every time someone learns more about nico over what's regurgitated about him they're always Huh... he's just some well meaning cringe dude... and not an evil mastermind 🤥 I do not discount that they've both hurt each other in ways we're not aware of, but everything that's publicly available means that's not our stance to take (hate a guy on Behalf of lewis cause he won't say his name)

now I don't blame fans -- how would you know about something that happened like 7 years ago now? and Lewis is very skilled at the narratives around him, he had a team that despite letting both drivers race was clearly behind him; and everything since DTS, fanon has been reinforcing the same narrative.

ultimately, nico won 2016 and lewis won the narrative.

So many people in cases like this with less popular ships turn vitriolic towards anyone who they think could pose a threat to their ship and just… don’t. I have to say this message surprised me a bit because it’s something I’ve really had to work on, to the point I used to get some very angry anons about the way I generally ignored or forgot about Alex. Basically the opposite of this one hahaha! but I’ve also started to warm more to Alex this year than I did last year, though I still wouldn’t call myself a real fan, it’s nice when he does well.

I have… a complicated relationship with Alex as a driver and person. On one hand, he’s George’s best friend, I couldn’t change that even if I wanted to, and it’s a truly sibling like relationship I suspect George needed given how much older his actual siblings were. They support each other and that’s a thing they both need.

On the other, I’ve been watching since 2020, and Alex WAS a Red Bull driver, and he spent the entire first year of when I was watching the sport, getting into incidents with my favourite driver while being generally being very… accusatory. His role in RB during 2021 didn’t help either, and it just generally left me very mistrustful of the guy, probably unfairly, but with 20 drivers to focus on you don’t tend to get past first impressions unless you really stick about.

When he moved to Williams it was all under the fan fair of Horner crying that Toto didn’t approve of the move because he thought Alex was going to spy for them, and at the time it was hard not to sit there and go “well… are you?” Because post AD Redbull had more than proven they were willing to do anything to win, even if it was George’s influence that got Alex the Williams seat. It now truly delights me to see how that has in fact backfired on Christian as he lost a genuinely talented young driver to another team who will better respect his skill if he’s willing to be patient, though you won’t catch me calling for Alex to Merc…ever, or at least, any time soon.

I also struggled with the way he did talk about George a lot! It’s banter between brothers but it often felt like at the time the only way I saw Alex referring to their relationship was to poke or complain about George- especially showing off his body. Every single post George made showing even a little skin- the comments would be full of people waiting for Alex to show up and say something mean, and slowly the content from George dropped off, a coincidence probably given the ramp up with his duties at Merc, but it was hard not to link those things y’know, especially with my OWN, not Alex’s problem, views on body image.

So yeah, it was a tough grind, NONE of it helped by the prevalence of Galex as a popular ship and the tendency of popular ships to get very… expectant, of you to like them. I had the exact same issue with Sewis, though I will always adore Sebastian, because for a while it really did feel like it was being shoved in my face every which way and I couldn’t escape them, and no one enjoys having to wade through things they don’t like. Lots of posts with a general vibe of “what do you MEAN you like gewis when galex exists and clearly has more evidence” that just didn’t sit right for what I felt or what I was seeing. There was also the fic that will not be named that gave me a slightly… traumatic response to Galex and Sewis in relation to Gewis, and I all but stopped mentioning Alex at all if I could avoid it. Which as mentioned at the start… some anons sure took issue with!

I spose what changed my relationship with Alex was reframing his relationship to George (and by proxy redbull), when then things he started saying became less about George’s body and more about what a pain in the ass best friend he was. That’s a relationship I understand, the best friend who you love beyond all belief, would defend from wolves, would kill for, but if you had to date you’d kill each other in a couple days. A psuedo sibling bond I have with a lot of my own friends, people I would say I love you too knowing I have 0 intention on dating them.

Then it became easier to see all the ship stuff because I could go, cool I get it, but to me that’s his brother, that’s the guy who watches George pine and makes faux gagging noises, but would also go behind George’s back to tell Lewis how George felt if he thought it would make George happy. That’s the guy who George complains to when he’s struggling with balancing his feelings with his job as a teammate, and who hugs him when he’s feeling lost.

I have to credit Niamh for saying it one of her fics- but Alex is George’s Valtteri. The guy who has his back even when they’re fighting, and who’s bond goes a little deeper than skin, different to romance but no less strong.

So yeah, I will still always probably grit my teeth when it comes to getting galex shoved in my face, (no I haven’t forgotten synths poll, so many of you were v annoying to me ((this is a JOKE)), I’ve certainly started to completely detach that from Alex as a driver, and short of a nuclear melt down, I hope that relationship just slowly improves. Not that any of that matters to him of course. But this is the blog where I talk about myself.

Aurum Vale

Oh boy. We covered Aurum Vale before, but weren't able to get past the entrance.

1.0 has four instanced dungeons, all of which are in 1.0: Aurum Vale, Cutter's Cry, Dzahmael Darkhold and Thousand Maws of Toto-Rok. Before, I wasn't able to get past the entrances, but now I know how to get inside, and took pictures of all four of them.

Instanced dungeons in 1.0 are different than the linear counterparts in ARR. There are bosses, dungeon ends when you beat one. Bosses have a different condition to spawn. There are trash mobs like you'd expect, and treasure chests all around. You also get a number of treasure chests after a boss battle, depending on certain conditions you've accomplished in the dungeon. In ARR, after fighting a boss, the treasure chests that spawn might be off-center, and that's because you'd used to get more in that same dungeon in 1.0. Chest contents *are not* random. Finally, dungeons can be run by 4-8 players.

Anyways, I got inside Aurum Vale, and it's everything you'd expect.

First, I got into a weird area that was outside the map. It felt like I entered through the "back" door. I'm attributing this to how I got into the dungeon in the first place - it was a bit of a hack of basically glitching through the wall. But the fact that there is actual cave here is interesting to me, even if it's not mapped out. Getting into the dungeon proper meant going through a barrier, seen in the bottom picture above. It makes me wonder if part of the dungeon got cut, because I didn't have this issue with the other dungeons I explored. It might be a case of simply the map not loading correct. But it looks like Aurum Vale, at least the parts towards the end, such as leading to and away from the last Morbol nursery. You'll notice the distinct puke green hue in that last picture.

Oh yep. The aurum pools exist. Because of lack of scripting, they don't actually do anything, and you can run around in the pee all you want.

There's a few boss rooms, such as this one, that reminds me of the boss room you fight the giant. By the way, the bosses in Aurum Vale, if I remember correctly are the same ones you fight in ARR - the ochu, the giant and the malboro.

Aurum Vale is huge in 1.0, and one floor (?) or section has these two complete sections on it. You can see that I'm in the bottom one, but I have no idea how to get to the top one. It's either the case of a hidden cave, or teleport, which might makes sense because...

There's magitek in Aurum Vale! If you remember old Toto-Rok in ARR, you'll remember that you had to collect photo cells that will deactivate barriers in each boss rooms. *All of the released* of the instanced dungeons in 1.0 have this mechanic, so having some sort of teleport isn't necessarily out of the question. There's another boss room I found with the aurum stuff in it, similar to the first or last boss room in ARR, but I didn't take a picture of it. Honestly, this was all I could really take of it. Somehow I ended up going off the map again, and then got lost and couldn't figure out how to head back. I try not to use "debug" skills when I can, or warping. Reason for this is because if you warp to a place out of bounds, it basically shuts the server down, and then *all* characters are unuseable, the client crashes when you load them up. It's a pain in the ass to fix, honestly, so I try to be careful with what I do, and rely on physically moving place to place, unless I'm trying to get across a barrier.

it's kind of funny how we always see lando and lewis laughing and joking around together when they are on podium or even in the drivers' parade because the way his fans describe him and overreact to everything, you'd assume lewis was the wettest blanket around

like the amount of his fans I've unfollowed because they start posts with "i like lando but—" and then go into like 5 paragraphs calling him petty and jealous and immature and talking about how he'll never win a race because he isn't offering to kiss lewis' ass right in the middle of the paddock. like your guys' driver has been in f1 for 16 years!!! you've had 16 years to learn how competitive sports work!!!! and you still perceive someone acknowledging that lewis has had relatively good cars his ENTIRE career as the harshest supposed "insult" he's ever been blown? i mean damn, if you guys want him to join lando in that fighting for p18 "accomplishment" he was joking about achieving earlier this year, mercedes is welcome to start 2024 with a 2021 williams or haas-esque car. i can guarantee they'll be crying a lot more then if they're calling a car capable of podiums a "shit box" to the extent merc and toto wolff are issuing weekly apologies 💀

EXACTLY. lewis is a great driver, no denying that, but clearly when it came down to one lap max was just better during that race. talk about tyre advantage all you want but lets not pretend like it wasn't his skill that won him the race. people want to make the whole issue about the lapped cars but even if they didn't unlap and max won, they would still find something to whinge about. im sorry im bringing this up but the anger bottled up in me when i saw people insisting that qatar sealed his 2nd wdc, my word get over yourselves its been more than enough time

Idk what the deal is about the lapped cars. People say it’s not right that Massi let only the lapped cars between Max and Lewis unlap themselves and it should have been all the cars (“any” doesn’t mean “all”). But what difference did it make? Even if he let all the cars unlap themselves there would have still been one lap of racing and Lewis still loses. I guess people just use it as evidence that Massi was manipulating everything to get one racing lap but we know that. And we know it was because of the millions of eyes on this title fight that they hyped up to super bowl levels. But yeah the four unlapped cars are so not the issue.

Lewis bottled it, 100%. He was obviously in shock because of the sudden change in procedure, he was probably thinking too much about whether Toto could get it fixed, thinking about his old tyres, under pressure, and he fucked it. It happens. I can understand it. But he fucked it. I’m a faster car, with seven titles experience, over one lap, he fucked it. Deal with it.

Lewis clearly has, in his own way.

And if you don’t think Max won that first title, that’s your prerogative but history isn’t written by people sat at home on Twitter so like…fuck off

Summary: Lorelei Hester ‘Lester’ Alessandro is a bassist first and Daniel Ricciardo’s partner second. But it seems like another role is added to her resume as she begins her weekend in Baku as Toto Wolff’s children’s babysitter.

Chapter summary: Lewis Hamilton dropped by to check on his nephew and niece, only for them to give him a run for his money (quite literally). AND Lester recalled what Tilly Wolff told her about issues her problems prior to becoming a first-time parent with Toto.

“My, my, are those Ren-man and Lady T?” The paddock wasn’t exactly fully occupied, if they were being truthful. It was a pretty decent Thursday afternoon so far. Or at least, nobody had ever gone out of their way to interrupt the Wolff children’s day at “work.”

Not that everybody truly knew who they were. Tilly had done her best to keep them away from the public eye because of how vile they could get. Soren and Tia rarely had photos that weren’t taken by the Mercedes social media admins or their parents, and Toto made sure that it would stay that way.

Those who approached the two were staff members of the Grand Prix. They’d run around the media pit, at times, with Tilly in tow. Those were the only times Toto and Tilly would allow their kids in front of a camera— if they were spending their time with their Uncle Jenson, Martin Brundle or Ted Kravitz. Otherwise they never allowed anyone else to put a camera on the kids’ faces.

But the paddock would be full soon enough, and cameras would be excited to get a glimpse of the Wolff kids. And Lewis Hamilton’s voice definitely gathered the attention of the siblings.

“ZIA LORI! IT’S UNCLE LEWIS!”

Lewis was knocked out of his crouching position when Soren and Tia jumped on him, pushing him off his feet.

“Gaaah, you two are getting bigger,” Lewis dramatically groaned, still lying down on the paddock grounds as he continued, “Roscoe! Rescue dad! Please!”

Roscoe, god love him, immediately ran to the direction of his dad. But instead of following his dad’s command, he went ahead and began licking Lewis in the face. Lewis squirmed and tried to get up as fast as he could and rubbed Roscoe’s belly.

“Haha!” Tia was easily amused, giggling hysterically as she looked at Lester with a grin, “Zia! Look at Uncle Lew!”

Lewis, now realizing that his godchildren weren’t alone, looked up and greeted Lester with a hug, “How have you been, Lori?”

“Good, good,” Lester smirked, “felt even better now that I know your skincare routine.”

“Nothing beats a dog’s slobber for skincare,” Lewis joked and laughed with the woman. He then changed the topic as he asked, “How are you handling the runts? Busy?”

“They’ve been good,” Lester nodded, peering down to check the kids — who were busy playing with Roscoe and Angela. “I thought it’s going to be bloodshed at the paddock today but… turns out, they’re perfectly alright with books and colours.”

“Books?!” Lewis gasped dramatically before he turned to look at Soren, “Ren-man, did you tell Zia Lori about your books?”

The boy looked up, his dark brown eyes twinkling in excitement before he nodded eagerly. “Zia saw my books!”

“He’s been keeping himself busy with his Grimms’ Fairy Tales,” Lester told Lewis before leaning forward and whispered, “he is… incredibly skilled. Like. I am jealous.”

“Oh, did he finish the book already?” Lewis asked her as if he’s asking if the sky’s blue.

“Quarter of the book left,” Lester responded, obviously still bewildered by Soren’s abilities.

“Gah, I guess Stevie and I are going to have to make a trip to the bookstores again,” Lewis groaned quietly, but was amused with the bassist’s reaction. He scratched his facial hair with his left hand, the silver band on his finger glowing under the afternoon sun. “The only thing missing in their house is a large library. I’ve told Toto about it once, but I suppose he’ll have to trip over piles of books first before he realizes it himself.”

“Why don’t you have the library—since you’re the one to think of it first?” Lester scoffed humorously.

“You really think we don’t?” Lewis snorted, watching the woman’s face contort with disbelief before he nodded in confirmation, “Oh yeah, we do. These two got their reading nook in our penthouse. They are more spoiled than you think.”

“They don’t behave poorly, thankfully,” Lester nodded. “Tilly and Toto are raising them well.”

“They’re both hands-on when it comes to that whole shebang,” Lewis shrugged, also looking down at the kids as they continued to speak, “I remember when Tilly told Toto about Soren when she fell pregnant. They had a full on intervention about their relationship.”

Ah yes. She had heard of that too.

Failures of a father, Tilly scoffed once while she spoke to Lester, it’s not failure if it hadn’t been acted upon yet.

Lester had listened to the older woman vent about her first few years of relationship with Toto. Throughout the two bottles of wine, the bassist learned a lot from Tilly herself. Not her books. From the author herself. Word by word, she could still remember it.

I honestly didn’t think that it would come to that point— where I would have a child with someone. I’m practically a spinster, Tilly said, and Toto was just a chance encounter that didn’t happen again until eight years after.

My Maman actually warned me about Toto before we began dating. She said that she had been there with my father before. I didn’t know what she meant but she made sure to tell me about the difference in age. She told me about how they’ll hide the world from you if they’re just as greedy as my father. If they wanted to keep you a wife at home.

So yeah. When I found out I was pregnant, I was at Toto's house. In his bedroom. In his bathroom. While he’s working at the headquarters until late at night. I never had time to speak to him, because he always seemed busy. I had a feeling that it wouldn’t turn out well if I stayed in his place so I drove to Lewis’.

The scenario where I was—finding out I was pregnant while the father of the child’s at work—I don’t know, it was some sort of deja vu. It was what my mom told me. Maybe my brain was hazy, but I was slowly seeing him like my father.

Apparently I shouldn’t have run off and packed my shit, Tilly chuckled, because he was phoning me after hours and I was crying my eyes out on Lewis’ couch. We got to talk the next morning. I told him everything. Like how I didn’t want to end up like my mother. I didn’t want to be alone when I’m raising a child. I didn’t want any financial support if the father couldn’t give them an emotional one. I told him—upfront, with the biggest audacity, that I didn’t want to have another Julius Hearth in my life.

I gave him an ultimatum. It’s either he stays and he cherishes the life that we’d bring together or he walks away. No money or anything. You would think that he’d have walked away by then. But he didn’t. He said he wanted a proper family. Not a divorced or separated one. Not a broken one. He just wanted… me. He said he wouldn’t make my father’s mistake.

Lewis continued, “I’m glad that she straightened him out before they returned to where they were. Because, truthfully, Toto would’ve been drowning himself at work still to this day. And…”

“You don’t want to see the same scenario happening to Tilly,” Lester continued for him. “You’ve seen it with your wife. You didn’t want that happening to your nephews and niece.”

“Or to my children, for that matter,” Lewis chuckled ruefully as he shook his head, “I’m more than willing to cut back from racing if it means for me to be involved in those little family days. I'm not going to allow Stevie to relive her childhood through our kids. I’m not going to do her dirty like that.”

“Ah, such a good man,” Lester sniffled a little before she patted him on the back, “where were you when I was looking for a man who’d treat me kindly?”

“You were with Ricciardo already,” Lewis snorted.

Lester rolled her eyes. She hadn’t even noticed the children running after Roscoe and Angela. Neither did Lewis.

Their ears deafened when they heard a distant shout of, “Tia! Don’t run! You will trip! Papa will be upset! Roscoe is faster!”

“Shit,” Lester cursed.

Lewis looked at Lester with wide eyes, “Fuck!”

They ran off.

They tried to navigate through the crowd as they called for Tia and Soren. Lester tried to look through the sea of legs and tried to follow after the tiny legs running. Lewis and Lester had been apologizing left and right for accidentally shoving people out of the way. They’re normally polite people, but if Lester and Lewis had lost the two, they might as well be dead.

“Tia Christie Wolff!” Lester exclaimed, trying to excuse herself as she zigzagged her way through the crowd.

“Soren Wolff, where you at, bruv?” Lewis called out, not even caring about the fact that their yelling is causing a commotion.

But just as they both exited the crowded area, their eyes landed on the two children. Angela stood there with a confused look, Roscoe’s head cocked to the side as if he’s also questioning his father’s panicked reaction.

“Wha- what-“ Lester panted heavily as she rested against Lewis’ panting figure. “Where did you go?”

“Following Roscoe and Angie!”

“We told you and Lewis beforehand,” Angela told her with a grin, “I think you two were just engrossed by whatever you were speaking of.”

Lester and Lewis shared a look, nodding synchronously as if they agreed on one thing. Don’t dwell too much about the past.

Lester patted Lewis in the back and said, “There’s my cardio for today. Thank you so much for coming along, Lewis.”

“Yeah of course,” Lewis nodded, “next time we’re going to run with Roscoe.”

“So… they’re asleep now.”

“Mhm, they are, liebling. You just recited the goodnight story to them.”

“Smart ass.”

“…How is our boy? Adelmo?”

“Hasn’t cried much today. We got a visit from the children’s doctor at home and it turns out that the inflammation is subsiding.”

“Good. That is good.”

“How about the two? How did they do this Thursday?”

“I haven’t been around them much, sadly. Lorelei took care of them while I was working.”

“Hm. You did ask her if she could keep them occupied. No need to be upset about that.”

“I’m not.”

“Uh huh, right. I’ve been with you for almost nine years, I know about your tone of voice. Again. Do not worry about them.”

“I- I do not know. I flew them with me here in hopes of spending more time with them.”

“No, you flew them out so that you can keep an eye on them while you work. Besides, any time spent around the same place where their Papa is can be equal to infinity.”

“Do you think so?”

“I know so, bello. You could be fast asleep, cuddling with the two of them and they’d still think that you’re the best father ever.”

“Aren’t you sweet.”

“Not sweet if it’s honest.”

“Thank you so much, Tilly.”

“What for?”

“For telling me that I’m doing good. Or that I am doing enough to keep them happy.”

“I’m your wife, Toto. Besides keeping our children sane, it’s my duty to keep you sane as you go through all of this with me.”

“I don’t know what I would do without you.”

“Probably not have a brood of Wolffs that will make you want to rip your hair out at times.”

La otra amenaza aparte de muerte es que estaba prostituyendo a mi Madre , la chica que me gusta que es Yakaira Valerio Mule y ella no lo entiende por manipulacion y mentiras de nuestro alrededor, tengo 3 anos soltera esperandola , juegan conmigo diciendome falsa informacion de que ella viene diario y me dejan esperando o se va disque con yordy y me humilla.
