I love and miss minivans that have little to zero angle change between the hood and the windshield. Just peak Walkman-era futuristic design. Excellent.

Also, very fun detail: the Toyota Previa (1990-1999) is the only mass production vehicle from a major automaker to have all three of - AWD, a supercharger, and being mid-engine.

First four images are the Previa, last two are Pontiac Trans Sport.

What I was not able to mention -- to account for its odd construction, the Previa actually had a couple oil reservoirs that would fill the crankcase and supercharger on demand.

Oh, if you were unaware, the one on the right, an Oldsmobile Silhouette, is a minivan that was nicknamed "dustbuster" because... well, let me help you visualize it.

Because early minivans are now old and undesirable, so it's easy to find one you can pick up for $500 - or even one you can pickup for $500!

Or, of course, you can just cut the body off a car and graft a VW atop it!

But if you think this should be a purely minivans list and are thus looking at that "VW" sideways, well boy do I have just the one for you!

Yes, that's the orientation it races in.
