Asking this as a British person BUT IS ASHLYN BRITSH?? If so I feel like in traditional 2010’s style the kids would constantly make the bohtle of wahter jokes and the like

Oh, they most definitely would! Probably with a few POH-TTAHs sprinkled in.

Honestly, Ashlyn's nationality isn't something I've given much thought to. Originally, in the very very early and unpublished version of this story, she was a self-insert (Oh the cringy shame! but I was in middle school... so valid excuse?) Then I re-discovered my old writing when I was looking for inspiration and decided to fix it up, create a proper plot, and post it. Part of that transition was remaking Ashlyn into a Y/N type character, where I kept the name only because I find Y/N very jarring, instead of purely a mask for my own individual voice.

She is no longer a mini-me, my child is complete with her own virtues and vices that have nothing to do with my previous 11-year-old brain but there are definitely some traces of my voice still left in her. Mostly in her creative swearing.

As the fic has developed, she's definitely grown into her own fully actualized character, and I am *this close* to removing the reader insert tag altogether. The only thing stopping me is that, other than her very striking personality, Ashlyn Moore is still pretty vague.

This makes sense because the story focuses on her transition and the after-effects of dimension hopping, but that means that other details are lost because they aren't as narratively important.

I think I'll continue to leave most of her background up to the reader's interpretation. But, considering the fact you lovable internet stalkers have sussed out that I'm British, her sharing some elements of that would fit with the origins of her character.

But yeah, I feel like Vince would have made a water bottle comment when they first met.

And then Ashlyn would have chucked the bottle at him.

OMGGGG I legit had the same experience with ttah. i listened to it nonstop. I still get goosebumps every time I hear it is is so damn good!!! Like I can’t get over it. Every time I listen to it I swear I get high lol The difference between jisungs two verses is my favorite thing. His first verse that’s just fast af and powerful and he’s so impatient and wants to go fast. Then his second verse when it’s slower and his voice drops lower and it’s kind of calming but he’s still so dominant. I need to calm down lol I am obsessed!! This man and this song is perfection.

Thanks for the question anon, but basically I like pretty much all of his characters but mains ones are like;

-Kevin Cozner (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), because of his character I basically started knowing of mej and on the show he is so perfect to Raymond and their relationship and their backstory is really interesting to me. Also in the later season when he grew that beard…

-Shawn (The Good Place), he’s just really funny and says the most randomness things. But I like thinking about how his character would be if he went through his own existential crisis. And I like his grainy evil voice.

-Sparks Nevada (The Theilling Adventure Hour), He’s a cowboy… in space. Basically all I’ve ever wanted. Also I like his country accent.

-Jim Dunnigan (Suit Up), A show I had to buy on YouTube but nevertheless basically he’s a kind of an insecure smart-ash deck, gets the job done and does whatever. I don’t know why I like it but he’s just kind of an everyday dude.

So tvline publishes a year in review article and they named Nico the worst TV boyfriend and Named Harry as in Niko Terho from the thing about harry, the dreamiest boyfriend. Jake just scored them both this year. I dont agree with the Nico one but I just thought it was funny.

We didn't even see Harry being a proper "boyfriend" for nearly 80% of the movie. We seem him go from a confessing best friend to a few years later.

And I /love/ TTAH like hands down I am obsessed with that movie but Harry basically started a relationship with Sam's best friend OF ALL PEOPLE just to what? Get over Sam? Like really? If you wanna get under someone to get over someone YOU HAD TO CHOSE the closest thing Sam had as a family in Chicago. And Sam ended up embarrassing himself in that brunch because of how much THOSE TWO have hurt him and still Stasha acted like the "victim" when she knew from the start that something was going on between Sam and Harry but those two chose and yes... CHOSE to turn a blind eye to the fact that they can actually hurt Sam.

(I mean don't even get me started on some of Sam's shortcomings but I still haven't been able to watch through that whole brunch scene because FUCK I felt for Sam at the time)

But on the contrary, I respect Nico.. Why? Because from the beginning he has defined and cleared his intentions with Levi. From that kiss on the elevator to the part he rejected him in the same breath, Nico was clear and didn't play Levi along.. He wanted to be in a relationship with Levi however when he found out Levi just legit realised his sexuality from that kiss, he defined his intention NOT TO pursue Levi because he wasn't sure if he can be a good boyfriend for Levi. Yet of course in the end he couldn't resist his attraction and started to date Levi, again with clear intentions.

Yes, eventually Greys did a 180 on Nico and made him to be this cold person THAT CAME OUT OF NOWHERE. But not once did he ever betray Levi the way Harry did to Sam.

Yes, Levi had to second guess just HOW MUCH Nico loves him but he has never deliberately hurt Levi to make him lose his trust on Nico in terms of loving him. Yes he didn't exactly tell him the truth about his parents but that doesn't define the extent of Nico's love for Levi. It's Nico's issues to deal with and he wasn't ready to open that door even for himself.

And again, we barely had been given any background on Nico, the show hasn't given him the chance to redeem himself. It's an unfinished story compared to TTAH.

So no... Harry nor Nico shouldn't even be compared and TVLine needs to NOT see things in just black and white.
