i’ve had this blog for a decade now, since i was 11 years old! and i’ve been posting my original drawings for 4.5 years, since i was 16. when i started posting my own work i had <100 followers, and yesterday i hit 5000!

i’m so grateful i get to share my drawings with this many people and i get to add happiness to the world in that way. thank you guys for being so kind and supportive of my dumb cartoons :)))

i was feeling nostalgic so i logged onto my deactivated facebook from a decade ago and omfg the hannibal stuff on there

- so i did watch s1 while it was airing but i was on facebook with my friends and not really on tumblr for the fandom stuff

- i was very confused why there wasn’t more material from red dragon in the show (i was a book fan first)

- i thought hannibal ate abigail at the end of s1, a friend said she didn’t think so because hannibal cared about her but i was convinced he did (bzztWRONG)

- being sad i had to wait a year for s2

- no one really shipped hannigram until s2 when homoerotic subtext was way more obvious

- everyone thought hannibal was a monster and will was hot (buzzfeed made listicles)

- obsessing over mukozuke and begging my friend to hurry up and watch the episode

- i said the cgi for “the deer” annoys me (A+ criticism)

- me liking this post from the hannibal facebook page and aww that hashtag #kickthebucket

- convincing my friend that hannigram was canon 👇

- my statement about mizumono “honestly they were boyfriends and will broke his heart”

that was a trip. it’s been a decade so it was hard to remember exactly how i felt watching s1 and s2 so wow yeah hope you guys enjoyed reading that

DEAR FRIENDS. My apologies for another enormous silence. After the Delphinus delphis colour anomalies poster I’ve been wanting to make something similar for, well... everything else. It’s a lot of fun going through all sorts of species!! However it’s also a lot lol. Maybe “draw everything first, then figure out how you want to organise this” isn’t the greatest strategy, but here we are. Hence the lack of uploading (though part of that is also just me being busy and scramble brained). 

Anyway, consider this a preview for all the ODD BOIS which are - slowly but surely - coming your way. I think they’re super fascinating and I hope you’ll find them too!!

i guess what i'm saying is regardless of the demographic in question there's no funnier feeling than when you go to one platform and people are sharing an opinionated post from someone in a demographic group with tags like "#wow i didn't know this...spreading for awareness" and then you go to a different platform and all your friends from that same demographic group are posting shit like "did you guys see this shit. we have to explode this clown or i'm going to delete my account"

What’s the best episode of fraggle rock in your opinion?

So sorry, I have no idea how long this AAM has been sitting in my inbox!

Hmmmm… there are a ton of them that I rank in my personal favorites, and I could answer this according to that list, or from an objective angle based on overall writing and thematic traits.

Objectively, I’d say the best episode is “Change of Address”, as it’s the full circle moment that the series has been building up to- not to mention that I get CHILLS every time “Magic be With You” starts playing in that haunting choral arrangement. It’s impacted me so much, and maybe it sounds odd to anyone else, but it was the song I sung to my newborn niece to soothe her the first time I met her, and it worked. Overall if’s just a beautiful episode, and I’m always teary afterwards.

Other strong contenders based on objective reasons are “The Day the Music Died”, “Gone But Not Forgotten”, and possibly “River of Life” (?). I give RoL a hesitant nod because it’s so somber that I’ve only been able to watch it twice- and I’ve seen the entire series otherwise so many times I couldn’t even guess, maybe upwards of 30-40 full views? Probably more, honestly, since it’s been my favorite companion since I was a tiny kid.

In terms of my favorites though, I have a long list! It doesn’t have huge overbearing weight in the story, but “Capture the Moon” has always been one of my biggest comfort episodes, as have “Boober’s Dream”, “Red’s Blue Dragon”, and “Wembley’s Flight”. Oh, and “A Brush with Jealousy”!! Man, the song from that one… “show me the light in a butterfly’s eye/and show me the dreams of the earth and the sky”… ahh.. so pretty.. I just feel refreshed upon hearing it. :)

Capture the Moon is where the foundation for my two main Fraggle OCs comes from (and weirdly enough, I came up with them due to a very specific Fraggle dream I had as a little kid, so that’s probably why they’re so dear to me! Hah!)

I also (hot take, I know!) do have a couple episodes I don’t actually care for that much. Of course, I love them all, but I do definitely have some least favorites. (I have never really liked “The Great Radish Famine”. I can’t place why, but it’s 1000% near the bottom of my list, LOL!)

Anyway, you asked a short question, and I totally blathered on for way too long! I’m not sure if I gave a very satisfactory answer 😅 I do suppose I could be more specific and take a more analytical approach if you’d like!! There are several ways to answer this specific question, HAH! Please feel free to ask more!!!! :0

Our museum is fairly active on Facebook, usually posting once a day. To keep the flow on content going, we decide on a theme for each month then share artifacts and documents related to that theme. Today, I selected my objects for February's Black History Month posts and found out I can't actually schedule all of them for the month yet. Sign. Just more proof that Tumblr is a vastly superior platform.

I think about this all the time. Embracing something as temporary is an act of self-care. You don't have to do something forever, you can do it once or a dozen times until it no longer brings you joy and then you can put it down and pick up something else. The only failure is doing something you hate because you're afraid to put it down.
