Uberhood rotation - Lothario update (s0e1)

Hi, cuties!  Since I take a gazillion screenshots per session, I figured I might as well post some of them here. I’m already 8 rounds into my Uberhood rotation so before I start posting (fairly) regularly, I’d love to make an update post for each(ish) family!

 The Lothario family obviously comes first. :P

While being a grade-A slut with commitment issues for most of his early 20s, Don was profoundly drawn back to Nina Caliente; again and again. The deal was sealed when she appeared at his doorstep one morning, announcing her unexpected pregnancy.  Don could’ve dashed, sure, but instead, he took it as a sign from the universe to finally take responsibility - possibly for the first time ever. 

Don and Nina moved in together shortly after. Their first place was a cozy apartment downtown where they enjoyed the early family years. Although they didn’t let go of their player tendencies at first, they always lived a comfortable, harmonious life. With Devon growing up and another baby on the way, the family moved into a house nearby. 

Don couldn’t believe his eyes when his child (allegedly* his) turned out to be blonde and ...a little green. That’s when Nina dropped the “Oh yeah, my grandfather was an alien!” bomb on him. 

Devon is a sweet 16-year-old girl who spends her days hanging out with friends, watching anime, and drawing. Her best friend is her cousin Jasmine, daughter of Dina Caliente. Despite being shy and not too eager to jump into relationships, teenage boys from all over the town are obsessed with her. It’s the inborn Lothario rizz, I’m telling y’all. 

The second Lothario child is Xavier. He shares the green hue of his skin with Devon; with the difference of a tan vitiligo spot covering his right eye, eyebrow and cheek. 

The Lothario family is incredibly close with the Landgraab family - Malcolm, Dina (Nina’s sister) and Jasmine. 

Here’s elderly Don on his way to rizz up elderly Nina. They’re the fucking CUTEST.

So I started playing an Uberhood for the first time in my simming career. I have never seriously played any of them, so I am excited to see how it goes. We are starting with Pleasantview and Strangetown, and I added the Downtown and all the downtownies as well.

Jules is working towards writing the next great SimNation novel. In her first 4 days (sim years) after university she has written 2 bestsellers, but neither were chosen for Bella's Book Club List.

For those who are not writers (or imaginative) like me, this website fills in the blanks on book synopsis + makes it easier to come up with a title.

Johnny could literally be with anyone - he has 3 bolts with a handful of sims - but he chose Ripp. Ripp is like the stray cat you fed a couple times that now will never leave.

And now, he has locked Johnny in for life. I'm not sure about this baby either. Both Johnny and Ripp are not fit for parenting, but I know a certain grandma that would love that baby... hopefully The General doesn't find out about this.

Uberhood Rotation 1: Beaker

Nervous invited Pascal curious over to make fun of Loki.

Nervous stargazing, dreaming of a life away from the castle, exploring the stars as a Space Pirate.

Nervous started an argument with Circe but she ended up agreeing with him. That was the first time she had ever been anything but cruel to him. He started seeing her in a different light.

He wrote out his feelings, trying to make sense of them.

Circe didn’t wait long. Over the next few days, she starts laying on the moves heavy with Nervous.

She did push a bit too far and was rejected. As much as he was interested in Circe, he was still scared of Loki.

Circe assured him that she wouldn’t let anything bad happen to him. He changed his tune pretty quickly.

While Loki is too focused on expanding his skills, Loki finally accepts Circe’s advances.

We finish off the round with Loki absorbing Loki’s skills.

The Monty estate.

Despite their tragedies the Monty family still holds strong, they are a very traditional family, with values unlike those rotten Capps. Someone should probably tell the kids that.

Romeo: That's right Romeo your going to tell them today, you'll tell them about Juliette and if they can't handle it, well I'll do something. He was a confident young man in love with his families rival's heiress. And he much like his lover didn’t quite understand consequences.

Mercutio: Damn it Mercutio you idiot, it wasn't supposed to end in a fight, you were supposed to just talk, like you used to! Idiot!

And Mercutio, poor Mercutio, the one who was supposed to have his life put together, all set out in front of him, never seemed to catch a break when he actually wanted one.

I was used to using a Google doc to track anything about my sims and neighborhoods (Pleasantsims templates) but there is too much work to do and I often forgot which turn I was on. Like this it seems much simpler to me...

I just need to find a way to sync it to something so as not to lose them. Putting them on Google drive would be perfect but I HATE that GD is very slow to open every time.

Uberhood rotation - Goth update (s0e2)

It's the Goth family's turn!

I'll go over the most important events that took place after I began my Uberhood rotation. And it's gonna be a doozy.

If you're not a fan of all the jabbering, at least take a peek at the screenshots, they're cute and/or hilarious. I PROMISE!

Mortimer Goth married Dina Caliente shortly after Bella's disappearance - within a year if we want to be specific. Regardless of what the back-fence talk was, Mortimer truly loved her and she loved him. The thing most of the blabbermouths missed was how Mortimer and Bella's marriage lost its spark years before the incident even took place. The high school sweethearts simply drifted apart, ending up unfulfilled and bored in the long run, and the separation process was in motion. It's not surprising that Mortimer Goth became the main suspect in the beginning stages of police investigations - the charges were dropped in short order though. While he was officially clear of blame, some residents of Pleasantview held onto their own hunches. His son Alexander was one of them.

Deep inside, Alexander knew it was a setup. Misconduct of SOME kind must have taken place. It HAD to. The whole thing just didn't add up - the timing, the circumstances, the so-called "proof" of everyone's innocence, the "investigation", and most of all, the silence. The God-forsaken, gut-wrenching, agonizing, harrowing silence that swallowed the town whole. One day, Bella was there and she was gone the other. That's how it all went down, simple as that. It's like everyone around him was playing pretend that she was never there to begin with, making him feel utterly alone and at the edge of insanity.

And so he began his own investigation, confidently believing that his father was to blame.

Although he knew Lilith by sight, mainly because his sister Cassandra babysat the Pleasant twins years ago, he finally got to know her at college. After some long night walks, diner dates, and a few kisses shared over the grave of her late father, the deal was sealed. He loved her immensely. Lilith became the light in his sea of darkness, the serene voice in the torturous, mute void.

Mortimer died of old age around that time.

After they both successfully got their degrees, they moved back into the Goth mansion together. To say Lilith was ecstatic would be an understatement; oh the delightful life she was almost guaranteed... She could finally be at peace. Safe.

With two children around and one on the way, Lilith was preoccupied with the homely duties of your average parent. Those same duties caused Alexander great agony; he's gone completely off-grid. He felt immense guilt for getting carried away from what mattered the most; the truth. Enlightenment.

His frustration caused him to behave rather recklessly and in a desperate attempt to feel closer to that alluring enlightenment, he ended up luring a grand vampire into the mansion and locking her up in the attic, right where his father's experiments took place. While the first days were rough, soon it almost felt like she wasn't interested in getting away anymore. With time passing they bonded, one thing soon led to another and...

He became a creature of the night.

As pale as paper and as thin as bone, eyes red like fire glimmering with lust. At moments entirely weak, sporadically oozing power.

(He felt a wee bit silly in the last shot.)

And you know what's hilarious about all of this? His family was clueless. Not forever, but for an embarrassingly long while. Taking care of three toddlers while your husband locks himself up in the attic 24/7 causes you to become exhausted and absentminded at times? No way! What?!

Anyway, the grand vampire dashed after successfully turning Alexander. His family understood that the state he found himself in wasn't a simple case of flu when they saw his skin burn up at the slightest touch of sunlight. That and his teeth. And eyes. And the constant "Bleeh!"ing. Oh and the bat form. That felt a little out of place.

Lilith wanted to support her sweetheart in his dreams but it was getting harder and more taxing with time. She never saw him anymore. It felt like he never showed interest in her or their children anymore. The days were the worst; that's when the Goth mansion fell completely silent, with Alexander deep in slumber and the children at school.

She isn't proud of it. Who in their right mind would be? She's betraying Alexander, the children... Herself. But is it really that simple?

She believes it's the crippling exhaustion and loneliness that led her into Dustin's arms. With him, she has something special; history. Intertwined, complicated history that goes back years and years. The sense of familiarity brings her sheer comfort in these trying times. Oh, what they've been through...

Don't get her wrong though; she didn't act on it. Physically speaking, at the very least.

What length do you guys play each household for your uberhoods, re. days per rotation?

Mine currently has 38 households and I'm doing 2 day rounds in this first rotation just to get everyone started and get to everyone sometime this year haha.

But I'm not sure what might be the sweet spot going forwards 🤔🤔

Uberhood Rotation 1: Aspir

Luis Aspir: Knowledge & Family - LTW: Become City Planner *COMPLETED* Victor Aspir: Family & Romance - LTW: Graduate 3 Children From College Elizabeth Aspir: Fortune & Popularity - LTW: Become Business Tycoon Pauline Aspire: Grow Up

The beginning of the round wasn’t super eventful, just wanted to make sure Pauline learnt all her skills.

Elizabeth was later asked out on a group outing by John Mole with Sharon Wirth and Edward Contrary

Victor brought home Circe Beaker on day and they got along surprisingly well. We rolled a few wants to flirt with her but they disappeared pretty quickly.

Luis invited Natasha Una over for dinner and she brought along John Mole. It seemed that he thought there was something more to this dinner.

Natasha told him off for trying to kiss her.

Soon it was Pauline’s birthday. Elizabeth rolled the want to throw a party and she had a pretty decent turn out for Pauline.

She looks so cute!~

We wrap up the round with a dream date <3 (And a waitress that appears to want to knock out Elizabeth).

The fourth rotation of the Uberhood begins with no longer the Capp household. After being disowned by Consort for mistreating Hal after the divorce, Albany returned to his old name along with his alien daughters.

Ariel is still living with their father until university and is the only Capp remaining in the house. As the oldest child currently around, they're in charge of helping with the younger sisters while Albany is struggling with the reality of being kicked from the family.
