#OTD in 1921 – Eithne Coyle, May Burke, Linda Kearns and Aileen Keogh, escape from Mountjoy Prison.

Eithne Ní Chumhaill (Coyle O’Donnell), from Killult, near Falcarragh, Co Donegal, became a member of Cumann na mBan in 1918. As head of the Co Donegal branch of Cumann na mBan Coyle played a leading role in mobilising her members to canvass on behalf of Sinn Féin for the 1918 general election. THE EVENT IS FREE TO L&H MEMBERS OR SIGN UP ON THE DOOR FOR ONLY €2. Tom Felton, best known for playing Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise, is receiving the James Joyce Award. His career started at the age of 12, when he appeared in The Borrowers and Anna and the King. He went on to star in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, The Flash and Origin, has released five EPs and most recently appeared on stage in 2:22: A Ghost Story. His memoir, Beyond the Wand, was released last October and details the behind the scenes of Tom’s life before, during and after Harry Potter. This event is not ticketed. EXISTING MEMBERS: You will be required to show your membership card and student card at the door (there will be a way to check if you are a member just using your student number). NON-MEMBERS: If you are not a member, you will be able to sign up on the door using cash and card (cash is preferable and please try to have exact change). We expect there to be lots of demand for this event so please arrive on time to better your chances of getting into the event. Chapter 4: Blossoming Love, Blooming Life

One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over their modest home, Mertin and Garcia shared a moment of quiet intimacy. Sitting by the hearth, they spoke softly of their hopes and dreams for the future, their hands intertwined in a silent display of love.

Suddenly, a mischievous grin spread across Garcia's face as she glanced at Mertin and whispered playfully, "I have a secret to share with you." Mertin raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Garcia's teasing tone. "Oh? What is it, my love?" he asked, leaning closer. Garcia placed a hand over her belly, a glimmer of excitement in her eyes. "I believe we'll be welcoming a new member into our family soon," she announced, her voice tinged with emotion. Mertin's eyes widened with surprise and joy. He couldn't believe the happiness that flooded his heart at Garcia's words. "Are you serious?" he whispered, his voice catching in his throat. Garcia nodded, tears of joy brimming in her eyes. "Yes, I'm going to be a mother, and you, a father, once again," she replied, her voice filled with love and wonder.

He gently placed his head against Garcia's belly, feeling the faint flutter of life within. His eyes sparkled with wonder and love as he stroked her belly tenderly.

"Hello in there, little one," Mertin whispered softly, his voice carrying a mixture of awe and affection. "You're already bringing so much joy to our hearts." Overwhelmed with emotion, Mertin pulled Garcia into a tight embrace, holding her close to his heart. "This is the most wonderful news, Garcia. I can't express how much it means to me," he murmured, his voice filled with tenderness.

From that moment on, the anticipation of their baby's arrival heightened, becoming a cherished part of their daily conversations and interactions. Mertin and Garcia found themselves bonding even more closely as they eagerly awaited the birth of their child.

Is there an estimate on when the non-high rank applications will open up, or will it just be whenever the high ranks are filled? Also, what are the regular ranks👀 I’m assuming they’re unique to the roleplay as well, just like the high ranks hahaha

Heya! The rest of the ranks will be open to make characters for on the 15th when we have our soft opening! That's when any rank from any Clan will be open and available to join. (Other than the top 3 ranks of course...) As of this moment, the rankings from Warrior and below are largely the same, but this may change in the future as the story progresses!

Best known for her involvement in nationalist politics, the Gaelic revival, and the women’s suffrage movement in Ireland, Louise Gavan Duffy joined Cumann na mBan on its foundation in 1914 and was made joint secretary. Chapter 5: Cradling Love

The days grew colder, and winter's chill settled into the Cabeza Fridlein home. Garcia, heavy with child, felt the strain of the changing season, her back aching from the weight she carried. As she went about her daily tasks, Mertin noticed the subtle cringe that occasionally crossed her face.

One evening, as they stood together in their small, dimly lit home, Garcia cringed again, her hand resting on her lower back. Mertin, observant and caring, instantly noticed her discomfort.

"Garcia, my love, come here," Mertin said, his voice gentle and full of concern. He guided her to stand in front of him, facing away.

Garcia gratefully leaned back into his arms, finding support and comfort in his strong embrace. "This little one is getting heavier by the day," she murmured, rubbing her belly.

Mertin placed his hands on her back, his touch firm yet tender. Slowly, he began to knead her muscles, his fingers working their way up her spine. Garcia let out a soft sigh, leaning into the massage and relishing the comfort it brought.

"It feels wonderful," she whispered, her eyes closing in bliss. Mertin continued the massage, focusing on the areas that seemed to be causing Garcia the most discomfort. He applied just the right amount of pressure, easing the tension in her back. "I wish I could take this burden away from you," Mertin said softly, his voice filled with empathy.

Garcia placed her hand on top of his, offering him a reassuring smile. "You already do so much for our family, Mertin. This... this little backache is nothing compared to the love and support you give us every day." He looked at her, his heart swelling with love and gratitude for the woman in his arms. "You are my world, Garcia," he whispered, his voice barely above a breath. "I'll do anything to make this journey easier for you."

With the soft glow of the fireplace illuminating their faces, they stood together, finding strength in each other's embrace. In this quiet moment, they knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, their love and resilience would guide them through, bound together as they journeyed through the winter of their lives, eagerly awaiting the spring of new beginnings with the arrival of their precious child.
