DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY IS SO EVERYTHING OHH MY GOD OKAY THIS MIGHT GET LONG AND MAYBE INCOHERENT (I DID NOT TAKE NOTES AS I WAS WATCHING EXCEPT FOR WRITING DOWN SOME QUOTES THAT GOT ME NEAR THE END)

okay ohh my GOD first of all from a purely visual standpoint i ADORE it... old films already look so 💗♥️💗💗💕♥️💗 i LOVEEE them i love how everyone has a faint otherworldly glow to them its so 💗💗💗 and i LOVEEE death's umm Death Form hehehe LOVE how he's either a literal shadow or a sort of formless cloak (AND THE WAY HE'S SEE THROUGH IN HIS FIRST APPEARANCE? HELLO? HOW DID THEY DO THAT like ik how they did the invisible man effects but this is like. different and idk how they did it im so enamored!!!) and i love the other costumes in the film!!! all of grazia's dresses, death's uniforms as prince sirki, love the costumes SO much!!!

next thing i really really super big love is just... death going through the mortal world and reacting to and learning about everything. i mentioned in another post abt how that part of this movie tickles the part of my brain that loves the day the earth stood still and i stand by that!!! there's just something i love so much about an otherworldly being coming to earth/the mortal world to learn about humans, and doing it specifically by staying with a human/mortal family while keeping their otherworldliness secret. and death talking about war, how it's just fighting over flags or pieces of land neither side wants, DEFINITELY reminded me of klaatu and how he comes to earth to learn if humans would be a threat to the rest of the universe and what his thoughts are on war. day the earth stood still x death takes a holiday crossover when!!! but also the humor bits wrt REALLY GOT ME HELP i laughed SO loud at death's reaction to hearing himself be called The Old Man it made me lose my mind hkfkhk

AND OKAY. I NEED TO TALK ABOUT DEATH AND GRAZIA. BECAUSE THEY MAKE ME SO!!!!!!! LITERALLY HELP the way death sees her and is Immediately so struck by her is very endearing but what really got me was the next morning in the garden when grazia is like "haha here you should take a rose for your jacket :)" and death is like "oh um no i cant 👉👈 roses wither on me! there are people like that you know who make roses wither its totally a normal thing" (but also the way he phrases it, "there are people like that who make roses wither" (not an exact quote bc i didnt write it down 😔 but you know!!) makes me so sad for some reason tht i cant quite articulate) and grazia is just like "haha don't worry!! it's not even opened yet, it'll last a looong time! 💗😊" before putting the rose on his jacket... and death's reaction? GODDD HELP ME!!! ITS SUCH A SWEET SCENE!!!

and then. ohhh my god. on death's last night of his holiday. HELP!!! the juxtaposition between the one lady (AGAIN I CANT REMEMBER HER NAME APOLOGIES) looking into his eyes and going from "yes i would do anything for you, i'd give you my soul, i don't care as long as it's you you hottie!!" to "GET AWAY FROM ME PLEASE DON'T HURT ME" vs. grazia telling him "when i'm with you, i see depths in your eyes that are like the worlds i visit in sleep" THAT GOT ME! when grazia says "i think you've been holding life in your hands, as i do sometimes. i think you've been a little afraid of its beauty." THAT GOT ME TOO!! and the way death says "oh, you DO know!" do that last quote? like he's so surprised but also relieved bc she does know, she does understand at least some part of him? WELL, THAT GOT ME TOO!! same w the way he says "oh, grazia, grazia, don't be afraid of me!" jesus christ!!! + the way he like. flips between "no i want to take grazia with me i love her!" to "NO i cant take grazia with me, i can't kill her i can't do that to her" made me SO. GOD. "to go with me now, in love, would be triumph!" vs. his panicked "i cannot tell her!!" this is a movie TRYING to kill me!! AND THE WAY GRAZIA DOES KNOW? the way everyone assumes she has no idea, even death, bc how could someone ever love death? how could someone love death so deeply and genuinely and sincerely? "but you — you don't know who i am!" "you are my love. my love." SHE KNOWS! SHE KNOWS WHO YOU ARE SHE SEES YOU SHE HAS LOOKED IN YOUR EYES AND SEEN HER DREAMS SHE SEES YOU AND LOVES YOU STILL! merrit is the only child of the young hornsby couple. she doesn’t remember much of her childhood, according to her grandma, she was the happiest kid. had everything she could ever ask for and more.

the reason why merrit can’t remember any of this is the beginning of a tragedy — a stormy december night, she and her parents went missing. grandma says they were gone for over five months. a kidnapping case gone cold, they thought. right when the old couple was giving up on them, an angel from above delivered antonia to their door step. malnourished, void of any memory but alive.

life after losing her parents was easier than expected, grandma hornsby ( nee du pont ) made sure merrit would recover from this without any trauma & in a way, she did.

doesn’t have the best relationship with her grandpa, he’s harsh and cranky and too smart for his own good, merrit is lowkey afraid of him lmfao

she’s currently studying architecture — her dream major was interior design but grandpa encouraged her to pursue architecture to follow her father’s footsteps. kinda made sense because she’s fascinated by houses .. in reality the insides, the families living there are the real source of interest for her but she’s happy to settle for outside for now gshdjkf

Waking up in my Dream Life

I woke up with a dreadful calling of mom saying “GIRLSS TIME TO WAKE UP ITS 9″ Oh how i hated those words, i was so tired. All I wanted to do is go back to my amazing dream! My dream life to be exact ! So I fell right back to sleep not caring about my "real life"... next you know I'm woken up again but with a satisfying smell.. it smelt like pancakes and bacon !! I wondered to myself did my mom make some good breakfast for once or is it all in my head.. suddenly I hear my annoying alarm go off , I snoozed it. I noticed i had a different phone. I was confused because the rest of my room was the same. I had my cheer accomplishments on one wall and my collection of my ceramics crafts on my dresser. So when I got up I put on my pink Nike slides and headed toward my door cuz boy was I hungry! Tht smell really got me up. When I opened the door I gasped! "Wtf where am I?" I questioned to myself. I looked around the hallway which was sooo different like I mean DIFFERENT. The mirror on the wall was gone. Lulus crate was not existent. And The bathroom was 2 doors down from my room instead of across my room. I lowkey got scared so I quickly went back to room with my eyes closed to hopefully go back to where I from. But when I opened my eyes my room was totally different! It was my dream room ! It was beautiful!

I spinned around my room so happily and on my door there was a mirror it showed me and screamed in happiness when I looked at myself.. I was beautiful and perfect in my eyes. I was still wearing the same thing from when I got up but my body was totally different.. I was literally slim thick my stomach was flat my boobs were perky and my ass was toned. My hair was straight and a nice brown color instead of streaky blonde highlights. I was so happy. I opened my closet to see what I had and I hate such cute clothes! I grabbed a cute floral dress and some cute sandals and went out the door to find a bathroom. When I saw an opened door I looked in and it was a bathroom so I stepped in then I got pushed out from some boy. "To slow hun" said the Mike and he slammed the door in your face. You were shocked on who you saw but lowkey mad at what he did. Aria came behind you and said "Why aren't you using your own bathroom Eve?" You turned around and looked at her happily "Oh I umm I don't know actually I'll be right back" you said while you go back to your room and try to find the door to your bathroom which was in the corner of your room. When you went inside the bathroom you took off what you had on and examined your new improved body . Your skin was flawless and tan no dark areas just one color. "She is so dumb to think that she wouldn't get caught!" Said another girl. "Well let's hope Steve Harrington knows what he's doing to stay out of this drama.. he is so hot and shouldn't be with a girl like Evelyn.. it's literally not fair I mean like almost all the guys at liberty try to freaking hook up with her.. I guess she made that mistake with Harrington" both girls giggled and walked away. You heard everything and that made u cry even more but then you realized tht your the hot shot at the school and shouldn't care what ppl think. All I cared about was getting zach back !

After school I tried to find Steve cuz I had to talk to him and get some answers .. I figured he would be up at the field practicing so I went up and there and I saw him along with many other guys I even saw zach and his face said it all .. he look bummed as ever and it hurt me to see him like .. so as I waited for the practice to be over I grabbed steves attention and I called him over. He saw me and got super happy to see me and ran to me.

"Hey beautiful wanna finish where we left off last Friday ?" Steve said

"Steve what are u talking about and why is all this happening?!" I told him

you can't possibly be offended by a homophobic joke in game of thrones, it's set in medieval times. they had several lgbt characters in it, it's not the show that's homophobic, it's the characters, which is accurate for that time period.
