I will not be listing those games here. Some of these will be one of the 14 fixed games in the current game room. I am including them because the old game room still has the featured game function, allowing you to earn double the points by playing it from the old link. neo game: Web Of Vernax

web of vernax is one of those games i remember not getting at all when i was a kid, but really enjoy now that i’ve come to understand how to play.

it’s a strategy game that relies on quick thinking, a tiny bit of patience, and is straightforward enough to be played idly. it also has some of my favourite neo game music.

i have a bronze trophy for web of vernax and a high score of 3270

here are a couple tips:

as with most games: going for a trophy is easiest during the first days of the month

once you get the hang of the game, it isn’t too long or difficult to get a score of 2000+ which will give you the max 1000np

there are a couple different ways to score bonus points, and depending on how far you are in the game you might want to prioritize one method over another

these are: completing a level using only 2-3 webs, time bonus, enclosing a vernax in a small area, enclosing multiple vernax in a same area

for the first level, you want to act fast and use two webs to trap the vernax in a corner. it’s still feasible to catch the vernax with a max of 3 webs in the next two levels, but after that go nuts. if you lose a life early on, i suggest restarting

keep an eye on vernax that move together, as they’re easiest to trap together

a good strategy for getting multiple bugs stuck together is to restrict the space they get to crawl around in. do this by leaving a gap. repeat the process how many times you like, but keep in mind that a smaller area means a higher risk of losing a life

when you get the anti-spyders, you’ll want to make short, single web strands near the boarders. it will try to undo that web but will be unable to reconnect to the main web, eliminating it

when a spiderbite appears on the screen, get it as soon as possible since those disappear fast. start your web close to it so your sure to collect it and try making the web as short as possible, as the bonus points you get for the lengthiness of the web you use to pick up the spiderbite isn’t worth the risk of losing a life. it takes a lot of spiderbites to regain a life

proceed with caution as the game progresses. sometimes it’s better to play it safe in order to get to the next level than lose all your lives trying something fancy

practice makes perfect!

do u have any advice for someone trying to start out in neopets who has pretty much no idea what anything is? ive always rlly wanted to get into it but never managed to break into the community cause i cant tell whats going on 99% of the time

oh man i didn’t know how the site worked as a young child so i know your pain. there’s a lot of fun stuff! that said, there’s a lot  of stuff. please IM me or neofriend me so i can help you out while i’m online!games (games tab) to make some neopoints and have a little fun - there’s tons of games to pick from. my faves are web of vernax, petpet rescue, and hasee bounce.

customize your neopet with clothes you can find/buy (the icon will have a hanger on it if it’s wearable)

explore neopia and all its lands - there’s a lot of cool stuff to do! i suggest doing dailies and if you think you can, do the altador plot! (it rewards a site theme and avatars)

news is where tnt mods update the news with new items, cmpetition winners, and new neotimes updates

community features neoboards - be wary of the newbies board, it’s quite wild. (general board poofed so all the shitposters and stuff moved to newbies lowkey nuking its newbies function). community > spotlights shows all the competitions you can sign up for! i like doing the art ones like art gallery and beauty contest. :)

shops is where you can surf around the main plaza and buy from the main shops (user shops are by users and the price can’t be bargained). the trading post and auction house is there as well!

definitely start exploring neopia by doing dailies, though, and if you need more help, let me know!

intro post, 3 years late

i’m shelby, i’m 22, and i’m an american living in europe till like 2017-18. i enjoy festival foodies and no, i don’t speak very much german. i am +8 NST. i’ve been neoblogging since summer 2014 and i kiss the tag and tuck it in every night.

i played neopets since 3rd grade. i remember when geraptiku was unveiled, and i ignored the sloth plot when it was ongoing (....fuk me right). my passion is and always has been collecting avatars, but now i’m just really into account improvement and battling! i wanna get into the beauty contest but then i remember oh yeah u gotta advertise. i can still draw fine, though! my fav neogames are faerie bubbles, web of vernax, and usul suspect. i love spinning the wheel of mediocrity!

other small thing about me: i am very anti-bully/harassment, i have a 3 y/o lab dog named bailey, and i have a tendency to talk to anyone i see havin’ a hard day.
