I might’ve just missed it on your blog but, what’s your opinion on tree? And Violetshine x tree

ahhh i like him!! hes a pretty cool character with an interesting backstory, i just wish he actually got to do more in the "mediator" role bc it feels like he hasnt done much "mediating" since the title was given to him. i think his unique role is a really cool idea and i hope we get other mediators in the future!!!

as for violetshine x tree, i think its.....fine! its not my favorite couple in wc, as i do wish their relationship had more development before they actually got together; it felt pretty rushed to me personally. but they have a lot of cute scenes together and i love their kits!! i wish we got to see more of violet interacting with them tho. tree was definitely the more Important parent in tbc which makes me sad bc violetshine is my beloved :( but at least she got to have some badass moments in alitm!!

Warrior cats has an issue of creating the most shitty het romances known to mankind. Examples:

- BlueOak: I HATE that it’s implied they’re mates in StarClan. They’re so much more interesting if they were just a one-time fling, not lovers. Also Bluestar reads, to me at least, as very aro

- FinTwig: Finleap should fall off a cliff. I don’t care that he ‘apologized’ to Twigbranch, him pressuring her to have kits with him and insisting that he’d leave her if she didn’t was… very upsetting

- BlazeLight: I love both of these characters individually, but NOT as a couple. They work great if they’re like… platonic / found family. Also lightleap lesbian real

- LeopardFrog: If the erins HAD give her a love interest… sunfish was right there! And Frogleap is… gross. Immediately after Leopard rejects him Mosspelt has his kits, implying that he got her pregnant when she was still MossPAW. He was well more than twice her age by that point.

- CinderLion: two boring characters paired together with tons of boring drama that I did not care to read about

- BristleRoot: very one-sided on rootspring’s end. bristle really didn’t seem interested in him at all romantically, and it seemed she just wanted a very close friend… rootspring being so pushy and insistent also kinda. rubbed me the wrong way

- VioletTree: no chemistry, none at all.

- LeafCrow: narratively interesting if it’s seen as a form of escapism from Leafpool’s end

- FeatherCrow: umm… weird age gap and also. crowfeather doesn’t deserve shit. if feathertail saw how he went on to treat leafpool, nightcloud, and breezepelt, she would’ve mauled him.

- NeedleRain: rain’s the same age as SHARPCLAW. Yet he got with needle when she was an apprentice, and he goes on to isolate her from friends / family. That’s textbook grooming, and it’s a shame that it wasn’t called out in the text for what it was.

- RiverFinch: riverstar is GAY. he is gay, you cannot convince me otherwise… give him a husband. gray wing’s right there…

I often think that for a series with so much romance centric plots, they really can’t write romance for shit 95% of the time lol, and they still insist on hammering in completely unnecessary ones anyway (LeopardFrog is the one that immediately springs to mind)

Sure, let's bring this series back! Here today I have the VioletTree family.

Violetshine is rather short, while Tree has that Sisters blood which makes him rather massive. As a result, Needleclaw is massive as well, but Rootspring is like right in the middle and ends up just being kinda normal sized.

Tree is he/him nonbinary. (I made a mistake in my allegiances recently saying "tom" oops)

Both Rootspring and Needleclaw don't understand the choice of their parents to wear plants in their fur. They just get itchy.

Both Rootspring AND Needleclaw can see ghosts, though Needleclaw has always had a more relaxed and forthright relationship with them. Due to being a she-cat, her kinship with the spirits started much earlier than Rootspring's, and she finds it pretty normal. Upon realizing no one else sees them the way she does, she decided it was a special little secret just for her.

Violetshine is the rule enforcer while Tree is the "fun parent". He's quicker to let Rootspring and Needleclaw get away with things as kits, while Violetshine expects them to have "normal lives" in SkyClan, unlike her.

Violetshine prefers ShadowClan prey still, something Rootspring also got turned on to thanks to her.

Needleclaw will complain about her large size because it makes it difficult to tree climb and maintain her balance on thinner branches.

Tree always slept in the nursery with Violetshine and the kits.

Rootspring and Needleclaw both also have the extra toe that their father has.

Needleclaw is a closeted lesbian. It's not that she's afraid to tell her family or clan - rather her more avoidant nature in regards to herself just has her pushing it off as she isn't seeing anyone, so what's the point?

Her whole family kinda already knows, but they'll let her be until she's ready :)

after finishing reading asc as well as tbc and the last few books within this week, i can say the way the characters in this series are shipped is crazy. personally i wouldnt mind if very simply sunbeam and nightheart remained friends. yeah theyre cute and all but it seems kind of annoying that they keep this up. charas dont have to be shipped instantly. even with like gay ships and stuff, i notice characters get shipped instantly for just having a friend. to me, it's personally annoying?? like yeah i get certain ones but urgh it gets annoying asf sometimes. also in tbc rootbristle seemed so just ugh??? like it was cute but it was so boring and pointless. and violettree. dovetiger. countless others ones honestly

shellfern, but fernstripe is a trans molly and shellfur a trans tom (t4t)

bristleroot, but rootspring is trixic and bristlefrost is sapphic-achillean, and both are ace + some type of enby!

leafbilly, but billystorm is enby pan and leafstar bi androgyne

windgorse, with wind runner being a trans bi molly and gorse fur a demisexual trans tom

violettree, with tree being agender aro and violetshine is enby polyro ace

crookedwillow, but crookedstar is an ace trans tom and willowbreeze is a trans molly (t4t)

Last up for this set of designs is the VioletTree family! I know Tree is described as smaller but I like thinking of him as a burly dude. I tried to retain his sturdiness with Violet’s softness in Rootspring’s design. I like this family quite a lot, I think they’re realistically written

2. Do you agree with the rule that medicine cats can’t have mates?

Nope! I think it’s dumb that the romantic fate of all medicine cats was decided based on one cat’s experience. Plus, if a cat were really unable to complete their duties if they were distracted by a mate and kits, wouldn’t leaders and warriors have a hard time too? And does that mean that med cats don’t care about their parents and siblings just as much???

Don’t even get me started on Leafpool and Yellowfang. They did fine.

13. What’s your favorite Warriors ship?

That’s a hard one! My favorite ship for the current arc is definitely VioletTree (though AlderPuddle is close behind).

But I think my favorite ship of the entire series might just be GrayTurtle! (TallJake is a close second though).
