Fanmade DRDT Playlist!

Hello DRDT tumblr community! @accirax and I made a post a while ago trying to figure out which songs were whose on the official DRDT character playlist (since privated, but I recreated it here). We thought it was fun, and since, we've been working on our own version of the DRDT character playlist!

Obviously, all songs chosen are our interpretations of the characters, and we're only working with information up until the end of Chapter 2 Part 1. That being said, we think we found some good ones, so hopefully you'll enjoy!

We made the playlist in a randomized order so that people can guess if they want, but sometime soon we'll come out with our answers so that people can check notes.

i absolutely adore the interactions between dream and lucienne in episode 9 bc dream has just enough self-awareness to know that he’s fucked up by insulting lucienne, but way too much pride to admit that he was in the wrong. 

like just their conversation earlier in the episode alone, when dream’s trying to make amends in a roundabout way and still not-apologizing to lucienne!

lucienne’s upset at dream, and she has every right to be - not just for imprisoning gault for wanting to be something other than a nightmare, but for dismissing everything she’s done outside of serving as his librarian in his absence, everything that she could possibly do outside of that limited role

and dream knows that he’s fucked up!! look at him, he absolutely hates this! and yet he is so full of pride that he can’t even properly apologize to one of his most trusted confidantes, one of the only residents of the dreaming who believed that he would return

i just love these two and their dynamic so much, i need more immediately

going through and organizing that best friends + oc vs miro + kip/penelope feud document and 2020 was so long ago that it was before orange even had where is my mind as his theme. he just had generic rock. wild

this feud also goes from october 2020 to march 2021. trent gets injured halfway through in december so, sure. but woof does it drag, man. it also doesn't really get interesting* until the butler stuff comes into play at the beginning of 2021, but by that time its been almost 3 months of this so its a bit harder to appreciate.

it does have a good payoff in the end. but maybe i'll recommend just starting from the dynamite diamond ring match onward lol

*there is nothing more interesting than seeing chuck in turmoil.
