so. i love this line.
but i want to talk about her expressions after gideon asks if she's alright:
i dont know. throughout the first season, elle expresses the strongest negative feelings towards sex offenders (reasonable!) and sure, she came from a unit dealing specifically with that and that's her specialty (remember when all the characters had specific skill sets and specialties?) but especially this reaction here seems very personal. and this is pre-randall garner, so she doesn't yet have that connection to being attacked in her own home.
also. the team knows sexual offense crimes are elle's specialty. they know that's where she came from. but her response to gideon when he asks if she's okay after she goes off on scott isn't "i've seen a lot of this and it gets me riled up" it's to get defensive and evasive. if it was anger born of something the team is aware of, why hide it? her response to gideon and her expression afterwards very much read to me as someone hiding something.

The first chapter will be posted Sunday, 13 August 2023.
Borne of our actual hatred of business development and networking events, @rmd-writes and I have created (Un)professional Services: 6 chapters and 60,000 words of corporate-Tarlos chaos, to be posted over 6 weeks.
This project was the result of many many hours of no one telling us "no", including each other, and the answer to everything being "yes, and then what if...":
There are hot people at networking events?
We make Owen the most chaotic he’s ever been?
Gwyn lives and roasts TK at every opportunity?
Carlos spirals like a zoodle?
TK has to endure seeing Carlos in a suit all the time?
A law firm makes corporate branded condoms?
Fire safety training is an ongoing and slightly unexplained theme?
Stay tuned to find out the answer to some of these and more.
A thousand forehead kisses and fruit baskets for @celeritas2997 for letting us derail the gc over this so many times and for beta reading!
Summary below just because we like to tease:
TK Strand has been an attorney long enough to know that networking events with accounting firms offer little more than terrible wine that he doesn’t drink, uninspiring small talk and a stack of identical-looking business cards.
Until he takes Nancy up on a bet and winds up having all of his preconceived ideas about business development being challenged by an accountant who is very far from boring.
The Tarlos Professional Services AU.

In Tiny Toons Looniversity, Lola Bunny was never intended to be the Acme Looniversity chef at first. According to Ben Siemon, the writer of the episode, “Soufflé Girl Hey”, the show initially planned to have Pepé Le Pew as the chef. This was likely during the development phase and Dave Alverez. They gave him a bio where he now has respect towards women and puts his passion and love towards food instead. He said the idea was turned down because “too much baggage” (probably due to WB’s response of his controversy) and Lola Bunny replaced him. Keep in mind that this was written in 2021 around a time when Space Jam: A New Legacy was huge for the company.
Wow!! Can I please have a link to where you found this info? it'd be really useful!
Thanks for letting me know. Reading this, as much as I love Pepe, I think it's better Lola's the chef than him if he was gonna be reintroduced with a (imo, tired) disclaimer. Makes me sad though that Lola's once again not being written in deliberation, it reinforces her whole issue of not rly bein a Tune... just kinda put in stuff n not really considering her character in these decisions (bc well.... she doesn't originally have one. At least, not an authentic one. Looney Tune-y one....)

Lester, Lola, and Cole went out to look for Stella. She had been gone for several hours, and everyone grew concerned for her.
They found her near the outskirts of the city, stumbling out of a building in a great panic, Joe hot on her trail.
The three former bb brigade commanders rushed forward, hoping to distract Joe. They successfully got his attention but shortly after the cowboy began to hunt them down instead, they were ambushed by a rogue S-Raptor.
Lester and Lola managed to get away, but the S-Raptor injured Cole, leaving him unable to flee. He would have been killed had Joe not launched himself at the vivosaur like a ballistic missile.
It was hard to discern man from beast. Joe acted with as much primal ferocity as the S-Raptor, if not more so. He snarled and punched and bit and swung his pickaxe with all the intensity and power of an earthquake.
And, to Cole's shock, Joe won.
The rogue S-Raptor fled before Joe could land a final blow, but its tiger-striped hide was littered with horrific bruises, bites, and gashes. It was practically impossible to tell that the damage had been done by a human. To anyone it would simply look like the S-Raptor had been badly beat by a fellow vivosaur.
By comparison, Joe was practically unscathed.
Joe probably would have chased after the rogue to finish it off had Cole not been lying there.
The moment Joe turned to face him, Cole flinched, but the rage that reminded the ex-commander of Joe's days as Don Boneyard (only much, MUCH worse) quickly died down as Joe noticed Cole's wounds and rushed to his aid.
