It's no surprise that the Ancients get bored. They are immortal and have all the time in the world to complain about it, sadly Danny joined them after he was crowned.

Their monthly meetings are divided into three topics: Taunting the Observants (Clockwork's favorite topic after they were demoted to helpers, assistants, and other menial jobs), talking about the safety of the Realms (quite peaceful if just as chaotic), and argue.

They- really had nothing to do, and their hobbies eventually bored them. So Danny had a brilliant idea (read: he saw it on a TV show) and decided that they should all become mentors and save one of the dimensions.

Clockwork was about to say that was not a good idea, since it was the same as throwing giants into a world of ants but he needed some fun so he kept quiet. He showed them the dimension of DC and how it was continually being destroyed, the King told them to start their project in that place and select someone.

Clockwork selected Flash because he felt vengeful, Nocturne selected Tim Drake for the same reason, and so they went; each one of the Ancients selecting a "champion" they were going to teach. Although their selection reasons were quite absurd (being that they were selecting their opposite poles or just someone interesting).

Danny being a spirit of protection, selected Jason Todd and secretly Billy Batson, because he was the king and could break the rules (Clockwork rolled his eyes at the comment). The question now was, how did they appear to them and avoid the world's myriad routes of destruction?

Well at least they weren't bored anymore

i think shouto and touya are both the kind of guys who love watching you sleep. and there's definitely something at least kind of sweet about it sometimes, but there is undeniably also something incredibly unnerving abt waking up and having them openly staring at you

tails headcanon before i pass out

while sonic definitely has weirder sleeping areas, tails has his moments. sonic has definitely found him asleep in a box or two before. when he wants to sleep in a tight space but also wants to stay in bed, he surrounds himself with pillows (he has like five) and curls into a ball

he also enjoys sleeping up high, especially when he’s stressed. whether is be on a tree branch when he and sonic take a nap during a run or in a make-shift hammock he has attached to the ceiling in the corner of his room. because his bullies couldn’t fly, the higher he was, the safer so sleeping up high brings him a sort of childhood comfort

basically up high + tight space = ideal sleeping spot for tails

he also just enjoys being up high in general. whenever everyone is sitting around, he will find a way to be above them

Continuing on our adventures with the family of five... now back down to a family of three since the elders left for the holidays.

Something I've noticed is how, in every human's house, in every bedroom, their sleeping quarters. Their beds are... always against a wall, more often than not within a corner. Though, the corner placement is more common for younglings.

I, of course, as the 14-year-old female's "Imaginary friend" took to questioning her about this. She too seemed to have to give some thought to it, before coming to this conclusion.

"If I imagined having my bed in the center of the room, I suddenly feel very.. surrounded. Almost as if my fears as a child, about monsters, came back again in full force. It's scary and too revealing to have my bed in the middle of the room."

For this, I have formed a hypothesis. Humans, as a species have taken to sleeping in enclosed corners so that they can get a good look at the room around them, and easily spot any predators. This cultural practice of having a bed in the corner or against the wall is simply the excess of that primal fear not being washed out during their evolutionary process.

This is a very interesting conclusion, I may have to dive into the human databases to figure more about this.

so fun fact about me before i go to sleep (it is so so late. i got too focused on making my sims sexy i forgot about the time and now. the quencies). i have this weird habit like. when im gaming or drawing or doing smth else i often talk to myself or like. say it in my head but basically i imagine that im actually streaming and im talking to my viewers so it's like im going "how are we feeling about this chat" or "hi chat today we're doing this". and i often feel like i can actually "see" or "hear" some of the comments in my head (i am so normal btw. this is definitely not a symptom at all) and i reply to them and idk it sounds weird and i understand how dumb it is but it actually helps me feel better.

so i was playing ts4 rn and i was like "hey any (character name) simps in the chat wanna help me pick out clothes for him" and i was again "seeing" comments in my head and laughing and then. i heard a voice that sounded a lot like one of my headmates' and she was like "he's kinda cute tho :D".

needed a moment. and then went "ah. ah okay. okay it all makes sense now"
