Decided to watch the new Miraculous special after falling out of the show years ago. I love role-reversal parallel universes and this didn’t disappoint at all! Honestly, it was better than anything in the first four seasons I remember.

Toxinelle and Claw Noir made for such tragic villains without being over the top💔 Marinette’s breakdown scenes broke my heart. They’re just teens dealt a really bad hand; I don’t blame them for heading down a villain’s path.

And Gabriel!! Omg, by far the best part for me. Loved him from the second his theme song opened the special. He makes for such a more compelling hero than the generic bad guy he’s become over the years—even if he does apparently now hold all the Miraculouses?? I want to see more of this Betterfly/Hesperia version. A lone hero seeking redemption in a world controlled by this mysterious dark overlord?? Sign me up!!

And now he and his son are on the same side but don’t know each other’s identities?? Aaah I love the idea of him mentoring the newly reformed Ladybug and Claw Noir - and now he and Adrien can rebuild their familial relationship too😭

I need more of this universe. I hope Zag revisits it. I’d absolutely reinvest in this franchise if they bring this universe back

Look, I think it’s great the Miraculous Amazon store released a Shadybug+Claw Noir collection…but whyyyyy is there zero Hesperia merch?? Not even a shirt??

Like I know the main two and Ubiquity are the three most likely to appeal to the target audience but Good Guy Gabriel was the entire reason this special even happened so can his fans please get some merch?? Please?? 😭

Seriously though what I would have given for Monarch’s identity reveal to Hesperia and then subsequently protecting Adrien from him with this kind of horror because not only is he the bad guy in this universe but he’s also a terrible father…the irony being that he seems at least somewhat unaware why his own son hates him.

But of course when he returns to his universe I wouldn’t be surprised if his Adrien, now in the process of reformation, greets him with an apologetic/desperate hug and they can have an emotional heart to heart and be one universe out of so many where the pair actually have a healthy father+son relationship 😭🥹❤️

And of course, Hesperia reinforcing his vow and determination never ever to wander down a dark path again. Seeing what he could have become still unsettles him…

Okay but like what would’ve happened if not only had Monarch and Hesperia learned their identities but Monarch was the one who told Toxinelle and Claw Noir about the wish?? What if he learned of Claw Noir’s identity too and managed to sway him with his plans of bringing Emilie back?

And what if he tried to make a wish with their Miraculous but learned just like Toxinelle that he couldn’t because of the seal?? Would all three fight harder then to corner Cat Noir and Ladybug?

OR did Hesperia accidentally open a portal into Monarch’s lair and then Monarch subsequently hijack Ubiquity’s portal before Toxinelle and Claw Noir followed Hesperia in, and learned all of this in a parallel world where Emilie is still gone? What would he do then?

Meanwhile how is Good Guy Gabriel adapting while he figures out how to get back home? Is it a shock to see Natalie alive? A son that loves but fears him?? And why does everyone treat him like a kettle set to boil over?

I just want a Prince and the Pauper situation with these two so BADLY. If I can finish the oneshot I’m working on in a timely manner, maybe I’ll try exploring this in fic form…

Had this mismatched dream last night where the Straw Hat Pirates were among many caught in the midst of a world-wide zombie apocalypse. I don’t remember too much except this one scene where Sanji got really sick but all the hospitals had shut down and though Zoro desperately tried to encourage him to keep fighting, he ended up falling unconscious and dying in Zoro’s arms💔💔

Okay so like…if mainverse Gabriel is the tyrannical producer-type dad when it comes to commercials and his son is the agreeable one then does that mean Good Guy Gabe is easy-going and a delight to work for while his emo son complains and grumbles the whole time?

I’d love to see Gabriel talking excitedly over an iPad call to his directors and Adrien meanwhile all gloomy in front of the camera just like “GEEZ dad, can we get on with this already??🙄🙄” or something.

I wish we had some interaction between them out of costume in the Paris special😭any at all.

Don’t get me wrong, of course I love Adrienette but I’m also super gay😆and I can’t help but imagine a world where Toxinelle and Claw Noir succeeded in interrupting Hesperia’s attempt to universe hop, thereby the Paris Special never happening. Instead, there’s a fight and the Resistance flee to regroup somewhere else and life continues its grueling normal.

Until one day, when a new student enrolls in Marinette’s school, having moved all the way from New York. Zoe Lee has the fighting spirit of a hero and I think that would still transfer in this darker universe. However, she’s still the new girl at this point and at first shy and uncertain like she was for most of season 4.

She also still wanders into Tom and Sabine’s bakery (although I’ve heard they’re divorced in this timeline?) and she still bumps into Marinette…but this time Marinette snaps at her to watch where she’s going and scares her out of the store.

Zoe fears she’s made another enemy and second guesses her decision to move in with her mother’s family. Then she goes to school and finds out that this aggressive baker girl is not only a loner, but is a victim of her step-sister’s bullying as well. And because she’s intuitive and sees so much of the person she could become in Marinette, she plants her heels into the ground and attempts to reach out to her. She’s clearly been alone for a really long time. Besides, that red streak in her hair is pretty badass.

So I did learn what ultimately happens to Gabriel (not in detail tho so no spoilers!) and like…now I want a followup where Hesperia gets stuck in the main timeline, totally unaware of this. He thinks ‘ah yes I’ll just hide in plain sight as Gabriel Agreste’ but of course the second ANYONE who knew him sees him they’re like 😨😨🤯🤨 and it’s all very confusing and heartbreaking and someone probably thinks he’s a sentimonster or something (again, no spoilers please.)

And poor Gabriel is totally unprepared and returns to his Hesperia identity because maybe Ladybug and Chat Noir can help him out - since they’ll at least remember his superhero Alias but if he chooses to reveal his identity to them that will create the same problem sskksjsja

I just want him to learn that he is the Big Bad in this universe because ADRIEN DESERVES A GOOD DAD, DAMN IT

And let’s not forget Emilie is apparently alive and well now

Okay now that I’ve just about finished season 4 of Miraculous and it seems like Adrien’s amok is in Gabriel’s ring (please nobody spoil anything til I get to S5!!) can you imagine how desperately reverse good guy Gabe must want to protect that ring?? The horror and guilt that must eat at him when he thinks about his son’s origins and the possible intent he and Emilie may have had behind it??

I’m operating on the basis that Hesperia started out as at least a morally gray individual before he changed for the better

Anyway, good dad Gabriel protecting his son at all costs even if said son refuses to talk to him or start his healing path is my new favorite thing and I require more headcanons about them

I love how protective Zoe is of Marinette, and I also love that she seems to be to Marinette what Marinette is to Adrian. Zoe can see when something’s wrong, that there’s more going on than meets the eye when Marinette is upset and can’t brush it aside. Just like when Adrian felt trapped and upset with his father’s plans and genuinely didn’t want to be a model anymore. Only Marinette saw it.

I would love in season 6, even though they won’t be in the same class anymore, if Zoe somehow learns Ladybug’s identity and is even more protective of her. We do have Luka kind of in that role so I doubt they’d do it with another character but I can hope😭

I wish there was one universe where Kitty Noir gets the girl. Just one. She deserves it!
