I decided I should watch this after living through two things. 1- watching Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo and falling in love with Nam Joohyuk and 2-there was one clip I kept seeing that just made me intrigued.

I always question if I enjoy Kim Sohyun's acting but I think it's just because the characters she portrays (that I've watched) have made decisions I don't agree with (I'm sorry I will never get over Love Alarm). But with this one I think she was able to finally sway me.

I've seen people online be mad about the outcome of the lead couple, but not me, perhaps I am just biased.

Lastly, I hate to say this but I swear it's positive: it reminded me of 2013 Wattpad fan fiction plot but they were able to deliver.

Watching penthouse now and it always baffles me how INSANE rich parents and the general bias towards rich kids is portrayed in kdramas.

1. I wanna slap the always-yelling parent of the rich bully.

2. The apathy of all the teachers in the staff room while this parent is just yelling abuses and hitting the victim is infuriating.

I hope the reality of it in Korea isn't as extreme cuz 😐😐😐😐😐

KDRAMAS IVE SEEN/AM WATCHING WITH GREAT LESSONS: SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T WATCHED THESE, I TRY TO BE AS VAGUE AS POSSIBLE THO

WHO ARE YOU SCHOOL: 2015 (shows healthy sibling relationship and has strong mc who stands up to her bullies. Plus shows the struggles of the other teens in mc's class and them communicating their feelings)

VINCENZO (even with all the violence, Vincenzo does mend his relationship with his mother and avenges all his loved ones. Plus his relationships with the people of the Plaza is very wholesome)

TRUE BEAUTY (i have not finished the series yet but the story is of a girl who turns to makeup to change her appearance because of all the bullying she went through. At the end though she learns to embrace her bare face and stands up to her bullies. her friendships are also very positive and wholesome. we aint gonna talk abt the love triangle but the main male lead and 2nd male lead also mended their friendship and have an iconic bromance)

THE UNCANNY COUNTER (mc so mun always tries to protect his friends, and even more so after he gets magical powers. he constantly stands up to his bullies and fights to avenge and save his parents. Plus his main bully goes thru a redemption and apologizes to everyone he's hurt including mc and his friends and GENUINELY REGRETS IT)

I've seen talk about what's the final Nightmare and people have been saying more times than I can count that it's going to be Cayde.

And I'm baffled. Have you seen the literal first intro cutscene into the season proper? The one where Caiatl refuses Eris' help but then we see Caiatl being haunted by the Nightmare of Ghaul?

And have you also played the game at all this week and heard Ghaul taunting us in post-Containtment voice lines? For example this one and this one and this one and--

I'm totally cool with people having their own HCs and AUs, but so many people have legitimately started throwing around guesses and thinking how it might be Cayde that I'm just wondering if there's any engagement of braincells at any point? Like, we're not talking obscure lore, this is first setup cutscene and in-game voice lines during the main seasonal activity.
