I DO NOT STAND FOR TRANSPHOBIA OR ANY BIGOTRY especially not in the name or your "fantasy"
-If you have "will not send cash" or "I do not pay" in your bio I will NOT be talking to you when you DM me- Keep in mind I don't charge for my attention, but boy do I consider it with guys who claim they don't pay. It's just a BLATANT lack of respect that I don't stand for.
-totally feel free to take anything I write and put a gender spin on it- a good fantasy is good no matter who is involved-I'm pansexual, so although I use mostly masculine pronouns, it's all the same in my head anyways- this is really just me calling all the lesbians and nb cuties🫢🩷

Clinical Formulations of Histrionic PD
Clinical formulations and case conceptualisations are introduced in this post.
These are all generalisations and theories of how HPD develops, not something that is supposed to be true for everyone with HPD.
Psychodynamic model
Histrionics lack relationships with maternal caregivers so turn to paternal caregivers for love and attention
Learn that they can get attention through sexualised behaviours
Men with HPD may be hypomasculine (effeminate) or hypermasculine if their paternal caregiver is emotionally unavailable
Biosocial model
Mood swings, very emotional
Biggest influences are environmental: caregivers’ reinforcement of attention-seeking & manipulative behaviours and histrionic role models
Children learn they can use cuteness, charm, attractiveness & seductive behaviours to get what they want/need (attention from caregivers)
Histrionics are externally focused and largely ignore their internal worlds
Histrionic behaviours are self-perpetuating
Cognitive-Behavioural model
Two main underlying assumptions: “I am inadequate and unable to handle life by myself” and “I must be loved by everyone to be worthwhile.”
Need attention and approval from others, and in a similar way to DPD feel they are inadequate to look after themselves and need others
Hypersensitive to rejection & criticism (similar to DPD, NPD and AvPD)
Feel they must perform for others to gain approval and self-esteem
Thinking is “impressionistic, global, and unfocused” and leads to over-generalisation, emotional dysregulation, and splitting
Two subtypes:
The controlling type, who tries to gain control through dramatics and manipulation; they struggle with reading others’ emotions and are shallow, self-centred, and uncomfortable without immediate assurance; lack empathy.
The reactive type tries to gain approval and reassurance.
Interpersonal model
People with HPD learnt that their entertainment value and appearance was more important to others than their worth as a person
Learnt that physical appearance and charm can be used to manipulate others
Their childhood homes were unpredictable and probably involved substance abuse
The unpredictability was dramatic and interesting (unlike the “primitive” and life-threatening chaos associated with BPD)
Histrionics were likely rewarded (i.e. had their physical and emotional needs met) for their disabilities, illnesses and complaints
Histrionics “exhibit a strange fear of being ignored, together with a wish to be loved and taken care of by important others, who can be controlled through charm or guile.”
Integrative model
Histrionics experience reactive mood swings and have high levels of energy
They are hyper-responsive and externally oriented
“The self-view of the histrionic will be some variant of the theme “I am sensitive and everyone should admire and approve of me.” The world-view will be some variant of “Life makes me nervous so I am entitled to special care and consideration.” Life goal is some variant of the theme “Therefore, play to the audience, and live in the moment.””
Cargivers’ style based in reciprocity, i.e. “I’ll give you attention if you do what I want”, with minimal or inconsistent discipline and probable neglect
Internal experiences of HPD are “denial of one’s real or inner self; a preoccupation with externals; the need for excitement and attention-seeking, which leads to a superficial charm and interpersonal presence; and the need for external approval. This, in turn, further reinforces the dissociation and denial of the real or inner self from the public self, and the cycle continues.”

🎀The Little Things🎀
Tumblr media
Summary: A normal Friday evening between Eddie and his significant other
Pairing: Cargiver!Eddie x little!Reader
Warnings: Standard 18+ for my blog, this is a fluff piece, however, mentions of age regression, CGl dynamic, use of pet names. I think that’s it? (Let me know if
Word count: 794
It had been a long and gruelling week, Eddie had been busy at the record store he’d opened, and you’d been going through the motions at the office, dealing with all the sexist assholes there. All you wanted to do was go home and be with your boyfriend and relax. When the clock read 5pm you hurried your things into your purse and rushed out the door. You could feel the slip beginning, and the closer you got to Eddie’s van waiting for you in the parking lot the faster it was happening.
See, not only was Eddie your boyfriend of 4 years, he was also your Caregiver and Daddy when you regressed mentally. He took care of you, made sure you were ok and didn’t let anything bad happen to you. He could see your face morph as you reached the door, your eyes widening a little, an a childish look came across your features. Opening the door for you he allowed you to kick your shoes off in the passenger area and placed a gentle hand on the back of your head.
“You doing ok there, bun?” He called you by his pet name for you, “feeling little?” You nodded, not wanting to talk at the moment. All you wanted to do was vibe in the car and listen to the music letting your Daddy’s energy was over you. He nodded back to you and drove carefully back to your small shared apartment, which was just perfect for the both of you. Situated just on the outskirts of Hawkins, it was perfect for two people who wanted the comforts of home but the separation you both yearned for from the people who treated you like hell.
By the time his van pulled into his parking space you’d completely regressed, Eddie came around to your side and opened the door before scooping you and your purse up. “Shoes can wait” he remarked as you bounced in his arms, giggling with each step. If anyone saw you it would look simply like a young couple very much in love. And you loved that because you were, even after this long you loved him just as much as the early days. He was perfect.
Once inside he placed you gently on the bed, pulled your favourite stuffed animal out, a tiger named Doodle, and set him beside you while Eddie made his way to the kitchen to make you a dinner of chicken nuggets and fries. While he was gone you edged your way to the end of the bed and padded your feet to where the tv remote was, “wanna watch cartoons…” your eyes scanned the remote but you didn’t know what to do with it. After a couple seconds you toddled your way to the kitchen to ask for help.
“Daddy..? Can help?” Your hand held out the remote control a look of confusion and slight frustration on your pouting face, he laughed “of course babydoll, let’s get you changed into your pjs too so you can be comfortable.”
His hands gently helped you out of your clothes and he allowed you to pick out the jammies, “green ones, please” sliding them over your legs and head Eddie picked you up and turned on the television “Tiny Toons!” You yelled happily when you saw the bright colors and your favourite character, Buster on screen. Ruffling your hair once you were sufficiently distracted, Eddie went to change his clothes and finish making dinner and bring it to you. On your tray there was also a silly cup of Yoohoo, the other half of the bottle in a glass for him.
Eventually you began to get sleepy, one of the nuggets falling from your fingers as your started to drift off. Eddie carried all the dishes to the kitchen, “later…” he said to himself, heading back to the bedroom, and took you into his arms. Peppering your face with soft kisses, he tucked you, Doodle, and himself into bed.
“Love you Daddy…” you murmured, curling into his chest, holding on to his shirt and your tiger against your chest.
He smiled down at your face, more in love with you than ever, “love you too, bun” his body tucking close, he free hand grabbing his well-read copy of The Hobbit to read while you slept, soon you’d be awake and ready to tell him about your day at work. Until then he just enjoyed the moment with the love of his life.

🐶🐙🐈 for f/o cg ask game! ^w^
Hiiiii, Zelda! Thank you so much for the ask!
🐶 - Who are your fictional caregivers? Do you have a 'main' one?
🎈Some of my fictional cargivers are some of my Minecraft OCs, especially my main Minecraft OC, Brine!
Tumblr media
🎈 He's one of my oldest OCs and I'm making paper dolls of all my OCs, and Brine's always been one to try to take care of me! He's a big sibling flip too!
🎈 I also have Kiriko and Lifeweaver from Overwatch, Argyle from Fae Farm, Dolores from Encanto, and Elsa from Frozen as some of my other fictional CGs. :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
🐙- Do they have any nicknames for you? Is there meaning behind them?
🎈 All of my Caregiving OCs call me little cute things like bug, little prince/princess, sweetie, sweetheart, dear, etc. Brine always calls me, "my friend" and that means a lot to me, because he's one of my very best friends in the whooooolllleee wide world!
🎈 Lifeweaver always calls me "little blossom" and Dolores calls me "Corazón" which is Spanish for "heart!"
🐈- Do they have any toys they like to play with you while you're regressed?
🎈 Yeah! We all like to play with my tea party set, my princess dolls, and Brine really likes to make sandwiches with my little Melissa and Doug sandwich set! :D
💖 Thank you for the ask, Zelda! This was fun! :D

C - Caregiver - How do they give/receive care best? Do they care for everyone or just a small number of people? How do they react to someone in need?
((My (the mun’s) Answer: An amazing cargiver despite her shortcomings (in my mind) when it comes to allowing what James and co pulled several times with Sev. However she does not recieve/accept care, she is one of those people who brushes off the fact she’s sick until she can’t anymore. I’d say realistically everyone, like legit, e v e r y o n e. And she immdieately goes to help people when she sees someone who needs help.))
“Thank you for that assement of my character, Ellie. To answer this correctly. I care for anyone and everyone, if they’ve earned my trust, I’m likely not going to go out of my way for say… Mundungus. And I’d say I recieve care with… grace, I don’t enjoy needing someon to care for me however. And when I see someone in need I will gladly offer help, and give it if the offer is accepted.”

kokoro anon, maybe the fic being about kaoru and misaki taking care of kokoro while shes regressed!
Okay! Your fic is under the cut! Apologies that I’m not the mod who said they’d originally take it for you ^^
Trigger warnings: None that I know of (but if there is anything that needs to be added lmk!)
Kokoro was constantly happy, everyone knew this. But there was another side to her, a side that only he caregivers saw.
“What’s wrong little one?” Kaoru asked one day after a meeting with the rest of Hello, Happy World.
Kokoro huffed and held out her arms, wanting to be picked up.
“I see.” Kaoru nodded before scooping Kokoro into her strong arms. “Nothing to fear little one. We shall go to your room.” She explained as she carried Kokoro down the hall.
Kokoro nodded and buried her face in her carer’s shoulder. She was tired, unbelievably so. So tired that she didn’t think she could look after herself- thankfully it appeared that both of her carers noticed. As Kaoru opened the door she was surprised to see her second carer, Misaki, standing in the middle of the room, in her arms was Kokoro’s favorite paci and stuffed Michelle bear.
“’Saki!” Kokoro cried, uttering her first words since the meeting.
“Hey little one!” Misaki smiled at her as Kaoru placed Kokoro on the play mat that had already been set up in the center of the room.
Kokoro trust her arms out, making grabby hands.
Misaki didn’t even roll her eyes, just walked over and sat next to her beloved friend and little.
“What shall we do now Kitten?” Karou asked as she too sat next to Kokoro.
“Play!” She cried excitedly.
“Okay.” Kaoru chuckled as she walked over to the toy chest in the corner of the room.
After that the trio played with some of Kokoro’s action figures for a while, until Kokoro began rubbing her eyes and yawning so much that she couldn’t stay focused on the game.
“Looks like you’re tired Sunshine.” Misaki smiled softly as her and Kaoru picked her up together gently carrying her over to the bed.
“‘M not sleepy...” Kokoro yawned as they placed her into the bed.
“Hush little one, we can always play when you awaken again.” Kaoru smiled at her.
“Yeah, you don’t need to worry Kokoro, we’ll always be here for you.” Misaki smiled.
Kokoro closed her eyes as she placed her paci in her mouth, smiling as she did. Her two cargivers were watching over her, her two caregivers would play when she woke up. Kokoro smiled as she drifted off into a deep sleep.

Is all contact that humans have with big cats 'bad' or 'inappropriate'? I'm talking mostly about cargiver/cat relationships or trainers, but also with cats on "sanctuaries" as well. I get that it can make them more accustomed to humans than they're supposed to be, but is it really detrimental to their health?
I am sure that there are many who would argue that humans should never have any interaction with big cats and they should not be in zoos, but I don’t think that’s the question you’re asking.
Of course cat/caregiver or cat/trainer relationships are generally very positive. Big cats are not my forte, but I would imagine that zoos don’t let their greenhorns interact with with the big cats from day 1 - I’m pretty sure that requires a lot of experience and training. When interaction does occur, a good zoo will have the staff separated from the big cats physically by bars, a fence, or some other barrier, unless the animal is immobilized. Day to day keeper interactions are going to involve feeding and training, which are positive events and the zoo does not force the interactions if the animal isn’t in the mood unless it’s absolutely necessary (such as illness, injury, etc). The training could involve teaching them to perform actions that make non-immobilized veterinary examinations possible (such as teaching them to allow blood draws, etc) or just straight up “trick training” for education of the public while still in their enclosure. All of this also adds to the enrichment program for the cat. So overall, keeper/trainer interactions with the big cats are at minimum neutral, and more likely to be positive for the animal’s health, both physical and mental.
Roadside attractions that allow humans to interact with tiger cubs are absolutely detrimental to the animals. In these cases, the big cats are bred for their novelty rather than for the survival of their species. They are bred to be white (inbred), crossed with lions (ligers, an incredibly unhealthy hybrid), or at the very least bred to mass produce tiger cubs for people to pet and play with. The cubs are removed from their mothers early and kept hungry all the time so they will want to suckle when guests bottle feed them, plus they are prevented from sleeping because guests don’t want to interact with a sleeping tiger cub. Having never been to one of these locations (and I never will) I don’t know what kind of biosecurity protocols they use before allowing guests to handle the animals, but just thinking about dangers to the tiger themselves (nevermind the dangers to the humans), I’m thinking about toxoplasmosis and other parasites as well feline viral/bacterial diseases that people can bring into the facility just from having cats at home. Plus, the straight-up stress on the animals. Not only is weaning stressful for both the mother and cubs anyway, it’s extra-stressful when you do it before the animal is ready to be weaned and even worse when you keep them hungry and awake. The more stress an animal is under, the more susceptible they are to pathogens, whether they come from the humans interacting with them or whether they come from the environment or another animal. I don’t know the rate of survival for tiger cubs that are bottle-fed, but I know for domestic cats the death rate for orphaned kittens that are hand-raised is up to 63%. In general, cats are much better at taking care of their young than humans are.
There’s a reason that the AZA doesn’t permit accredited zoos to allow public contact with big cats. In fact, they actually discourage using even small cats as educational animals because of the bite risk.
@why-animals-do-the-thing will probably have a lot more insight on this.

Daryl and Judith - Insights and Connections to S3
Okay, so everyone has been talking lately about Daryl holding Judith so much. We saw it in 8x08, we saw it in the sneak peek for 8x09, and we’re seeing it in the 8b trailer. It’s totally melting everyone’s heart (including mine; totally a puddle on the floor over here ;D).
Tumblr media
But we can actually read some really interesting Beth parallels in it as well. The last time Daryl really took Judith’s well-being into his own hands was right after she was born in S3. Right after Lori died.
First of all...
This is probably a certain amount of practicality on Daryl’s part. He’ll remember all too well how Rick reacted when Lori died. Daryl took it upon himself to find food for Judith and make sure he survived because he knew Rick simply wasn’t capable of doing so at that point. He was grieving too hard. Now, knowing Rick is losing Carl, he’s probably wondering if the same thing will happen again, so he’s watching out for Judith again. He also knows Rick and Michonne will need to be with Carl in his final moments, and they’ll need space to grieve.
Tumblr media
But also remember that him feeding the bottle to Judith in S3 was also a major Beth moment. They fed the baby (sort of) together and were both very worried about her well-being.  TD has read plenty of stuff into that before. Not to mention, it’s kind of the beginning of Beth as a protector/cargiver of children. (X) Beth specifically mentioned how much she admired Daryl for caring for Judith when she talked to Carol about him later in the season.
Tumblr media
Even aside from that, the fact that Beth loved and cared for Judith would be enough for Daryl to want to protect her. So even if Daryl didn’t love Judith (which he does) and Judith didn’t mean anything to Rick and Michonne and everyone else (which she does) and Daryl and Rick weren’t brothers (which they are) and Daryl wasn’t just a super-decent guy who would protect the kids anyway (which he is), just the fact that she meant something to Beth would be enough for him to want to preserver her. So him carrying Judith around still feels like a Beth tribute.
Tumblr media
And Daryl wouldn’t be able to help but compare this to what happened with Lori’s death, which would lead him to remember Beth was there during that time to help with Judith. So it’s safe to say he’s thinking, at least indirectly, of Beth during this whole thing.
I’d also like to point out that when Lori died, T-Dog also died and Carol went missing. Remember the whole Daryl-finds-Carol’s-knife-and-then-finds-her? The last time Rick lost a major family member, someone was presumed dead (Carol) and then found soon after. And there have already been a million parallels between that incident and Beth’s disappearance. Just saying. ;D

DAY FOUR:
Wednesday nights were always spent watching The Wall with grandma. The baby was already in bed and the kitchen was already mostly cleaned up. That NEVER happened.
Tiffany was falling asleep where she sat. This job could be exhausting. She was a live in cargiver for her best friend's 94 year old grandmother. She was on the clock for 120 hours per week cooking, cleaning and generally just keeping the house running. She did the laundry, made the grocery lists, administered grandma's medication, made sure she took her weekly shower, kept her fed and kept her safe. Having Tiffany's one-year old daughter there seemed to be very therapeutic for her as well.
Baby Avah was an Auburn haired little angel with Trisomy 21 Down Syndrome and a smile that lit up the sky. Grandma was very focused on her whenever she was around. As a mother of 6, it was something that was so engrained in her that the dementia hadn't stolen it away yet. She played with the baby and sang with the baby and held the baby. Ever since they'd moved in to care for her, grandma's emotional spirals had become less and less. It was really amazing. The age gap was almost 94 years, but they could relate to each other in so many ways.
Lost in thought, Tiffany was startled when a black cat landed in her lap. Orie! Her handsome kitty man. Her and her best friend Candice found him 17 years prior. A little girl at a gas station stood in the freezing Palmer wind holding these 2 tiny little kittens, all 3 of them shivering as her parents sat in the warm truck. How could they say no to that? Well, it turns out they couldn't and they ended up taking them both. There was a gray one that Tiffany named Smokey and eventually had to give away, and then there was Orie who ended up in the lap of luxury at grandma's and had been there for 17 years. She gave him some scratches behind the ears and a kiss on top of his head. He gave her a nuzzle, jumped off her lap and headed over to his favorite spot in front of the fireplace. She loved that old man. It would break her heart when he was gone.

A FLOWER BEAUTIFUL DELICATE AND INNOCENT REMOVED FROM THE EARTH AND SOMEHOW ENTRUSTED TO ME FOR CARE. SOME BEFORE GRAVELY ABUSED.I TOOK TIME TO WATER TO NURTURE TRYING TO BALANCE OUR PARTNERSHIP THOUGH I MADE MISTAKES. LIKE THE TIMES I FORGOT TO WATER HER OR OVERWATERED IN MY URGE TO PROTECT HER BEAUTY. HER COLOR STARTED TO FADE HER LEAVES STARTED TO WILT. IN A PANIC I TRIED ADDING SOIL I TIRED REPOTTING I TRIED REWATERING I LOOKED AROUND AT WHAT COULD BE THE CAUSES. LOOKED FOR REASONS. WAS SHE PLAGUED BY THE SEASONS OR THE STATE OF THE WORLD? I SPOKE TO HER EVERYDAY TO REMIND HER OF HER STRENGTH HER BEAUTY TO REMIND HER THE HAPPINESS SHE HAS BROUGHT ME AND THE LOVE I HAVE FOR HER. YET SHE REMAINDER UNBRIDLED. ONE MORNING AS SHE SAT STILL ON MY WINDOWSILL. I LOOKED OUT AND SAW A MEADOW FILLED WITH WILD FLOWERS. AND IN THAT MOMENT I REALIZED SHE WASN’T STRETCHING TOWARDS THE SUN AS I THOUGHT SHE WAS. SHE WAS STRETCHING TO BE FREE. PART OF ME RESISTED WHAT KNEW I HAD TO DO. I DIDN’T REALIZE THIS WHOLE TIME SHE WAS SPEAKING TO ME TOO. I JUST COULDN’T HEAR HER BUT NOW HER WORDS RANG CLEAR. SO I CARRIED HER TOWARDS THE EARTH SHE ONCE CAME FROM.GENTLY PLACED HER IN IT AND LET HER GO. ALL HER LIFE SHE HAS BEEN PASSES DOWN MISGUIDED MISHANDLED. UNSURE IF HER PLACE. MOLDED INTO WHO OR WHAT HER CARGIVERS WANTED HER TO BE. SCARED AT FIRST BUT SHE STRETCH OUT HER ROOTS FIRMILY INTO THE GROUND. NO LONGER ENCASED SHE WAS FREE TO GROW IF SHE WANTED TO, BLOOM WHEN SHE WANTED TO. SHE LET THE WIND SHAKE UP HER PETALS AND DANCED TO THE SOUND OF NATURE. FREE TO USE HER OWN WILL UNGUIDED TO GROW. I WAS SAD FOR A MOMENT OR TWO BUT EVERY TIME I LOOK OUT THE WINDOW AT THE MANY FLOWERS. I SEE THE BEAUTY AND STRENGTH OF THE WILD FLOWERS. CARED FOR BY NATURE THRIVING FROM THEIR OWN WILL TO ENDURE. BUT I KEEP A LITTLE NIGHT LIGHT ON THE WINDOWSILL SHE ONCE STOOD. HOPING IF SHE EVER SEES IT, IT WOULD REMIND HER OF WHERE SHE HAS BEEN AND HOW FAR SHE HAS TRAVELED AND HOPE THE LIGHT REMINDS HER OF THE FIRE SHE’S ALWAYS HAD WITHIN HERSELF.

We are finally starting the gothic era of American Literature and I could not be more excited! I love reading Edgar Allen Poe's works. My favorite works by him are 'Nevermore', 'The Tell Tale Heart', and 'The Fall of the house of Usher' iconic works by the man himself. Edgar Allen Poe in my opinion was one of the best writers of his time. All of his works managed to spark some sort of interest in me, and that has stuck with me for a long time. Edgar Allen Poe managed to start every piece of his works just right to spark interest, and finally, when it came to the end of his work, it would always finish with a bang. Edgar Allen Poe had an amazing and creative mind that produced good poetry and stories. However, just like his works, Edgar Allen Poe found himself sort of depressed and you can not help but feel sorry for him because he has been through so much in his life. Edgar Allen Poe lived a sort of hurtful life with many losses in life up until his death. Although we are learning about Edgar Allen Poe, I am more than happy to be able to read other great Poets from the American Gothic style of literature. I habe always been fascinated by the horror or creep factor that most people have thrown into their works. It is a great read because you never know what can happen in the remainder of the story or poem. Sadly, Edgar Allen Poe's work seems to always end in such tragedy and grief. For example, in The Tell Tale Heart, a man is a caregiver to a much older man. The caregiver watches the man at night and ultimately kills the man. The cargiver is insane and should not have been taking care of the old man. Edagr Allen Poe added great creep factors, the fact that the caregiver was hearing heart beats which drove him insane until finally the man was murdered. If there was any chance, I would want to make a horror movie of The Tell Tale Heart because it is such an iconic work of Edgar Allen Poe and I feel that it would make for a "killer" horror movie. Sorry, that pun was kind of cheesy, but I could not resist! There is always a time where in all matters of seriousness there has to be some fun. Whether it be a pun or some does something funny. There needs to be a point in time where people need to laugh, but Edgar Allen Poe says 'Nevermore'. Again I could not resist haha. I like making some cheesy puns every now and then, it is how I have fun in life. Anyway, I love the creep factor about The Tell Tale Heart. I feel that if it was a horror movie, it would be so scary and amazing! You do not really see many good horror movies lately. It is mainly just a cheesy gimmick horror villain chasing teenagers until one of them remains alive by some miraculous way and the killer ends up dying. Why does one person stay alive? And it is always the person who is considered "perfect". I feel that making the movie version of The Tell Tale Heart, that many people would want to see how this ends, but the ending has to be perfect. Not just an ending where they kill the villain and everyone celebrates. I am glad to be able to be a part of this class and all the amazing works we have read so far, and I am sure that we will be reading more great works by many mor iconic people. Edgar Allen Poe may be my favorite author, but with all that we are reading, I would be very surprised if I found someone better than Edgar Allen Poe. I can not wait to read more of these poems or stories! Even though some of these may be a little depressing or boring, I would still be happy to read them because it could cause an inspiration to build in someone. Someone could find inspiration to write movies, songs, books, or even theatre plays. Edgar Allen Poe can inspire many people as he has inspired me. People could write happier and their own versions of the story. There can also be many versions of this story such as patient and doctor, son and father, and the caregiver and the old man.
