One Piece Live Action Ep2 The Man in the Straw Hat

Another brilliant episode.

Starting it with Kid Luffy training with his gomu-gomu powers and breaking all the furniture in Party's Bar was what I'd expect from Luffy.

Makino probably asked Shanks about the Devil Fruits. So that's why she's the one telling Luffy about it. I'd like to believe that because I still ship Makino and Shanks. ANd they discuss parenting tips with each other.

But also, Makino being the one to explain it to Luffy because she's basically the one taking care of him was a nice touch.

I know Jeff Ward as Deke in Agents of SHIELD. My time traveler who puts lemons in people's beds. So seeing him as Buggy and the twist they put into him was brilliant writing and casting. He was truly the star and deserved that spotlight.

His whole nose gag was my favorite in the show so I love they kept it

I love that he was an actual menace. Not only was he occupying the whole town but he held the residents captive and made them watch his show. His entire crew was a circus so I love that they incorporated it like this.

Then foreshadowing Nami's own situation here.

Buggy was everything in this episode. His powers were done nicely. Comical and terrifying all at once.

The Red Hair Pirates actually doing something rather than just looking cool and hangover was a nice addition. Yassop skills as a shooter, Ben Beckman having his captain's back and Lucky Roux... honestly didn't expect him to murk a man with a lamb leg.

Then THAT SCENE!

Don't get me wrong. I still love the scene but I wanted it from that angle. It was still impactful.

Just Luffy's right-hand man, first mate, one of the wings already starting to show his loyalty.

Nami has slave number2. 1 is Luffy 3 is Sanji Usopp is her coward bestie

With time and writing constraints I understand why they didn't adapt Chuchu and Richie so it was still nice to see their existence was acknowledged.

And that ending. Still wondering if Nami placed the slug in her ear

I've been very very lonely very lonely. I don't see my friends enough I don't even really feel like anyone actually likes me I feel like I'm a problem in the world. I also broke up with my boyfriend 8 months ago because he made some racist comments for getting that he sticks his dick in a black and brown girl. And that made me really sad because that always seems to be the issue with the reasons why I break up with most of my boyfriends because they're low-key racist.

I'd like to think I have a fantastic personality my brain is filled with lots of knowledge skills and facts and movies and shows and books but no one finds me interesting. People tell me that I'm intimidating wow what a fucking great compliment that makes me feel fantastic. I am a woman and I just want to be treated as a woman I want to be told that I'm beautiful I want somebody to be like hey babe I was thinking about you I bought you flowers hey there's this really cool restaurant would you like to go check it out hey I saw this today and I thought you would like it I bought it for you. Hey I know you like to just go sit on the beach and paddle board so I rented a some paddle boards. But no I am single I have no prospects no one finds me interesting and it comes to a point where you start questioning your own existence.

I have body dysmorphia so the first thing I question is oh my God I'm fat and disgusting ew look at the stretch marks on my belly that came out of nowhere I never even have children it's kind of embarrassing. Oh maybe because I don't shave my arms and I look like a hairy beast oh maybe it's my nose I'm not your your your eurocentric kind of looking girl. And I know that most people don't care about that shit that's just shit that's in my head from growing up in the early 2000s in a shitty world. And the only man who are attracted to me are either over 60 who think I'm going to be there perfect little pretty house wife that keeps my mouth shut or they're 25 years old and makes me feel like an old behemoth in my thirties who can't find anyone in her age group to date because they all have that early 2000s mentality where they have this like perfect girl in their minds that's like their mom with the worst expectations in women and I can't even deal with having a conversation with them. I'm Literally in fucking limbo.

my worst fear is having a relationship with someone who's exactly like my dad who's literally the worst human being I have ever met and I've met some shitty ones in my time. I would rather die old and single although it would be wonderful to have someone to do things with while all my friends around me are getting married having kids moving in with boyfriends making milestones and I'm like a kid still living with my parents in my thirties with four cats. I'm a fucking stereotype. I'm feeling defective like there's something wrong with me. NOBODIES AND WHODUNNIT

Ok so theory time.

I recently made a post about vexen, infact the lil labrats been on my mind as of recently surprise to some but eh I do me, but having been thinking about miste4 walking chemical bath I have been bombarded with thoughts on the rg crew as a whole and me being me the rabbit holes dig themselves.

Dear god Im still falling but to put it lightly for the rest of you kh schmucks I think I just came to the conclusion that the rg crew cannot be held responsible at all for the betrayel of ansem the wise. The reasons why shall be explained.

Firstly we must take a look at the victem of this crime, ansem himself as its his statements on the event that we have to go off for this whole hoohah and lemme just point out something that I never notice anyone ever bring up when it comes to the betrayal.

Ansem, more specifically diz, is completely UNRELIABLE.

For one Ansem as diz spent most of his time trying trying to get the kh kiddys to murder the nobodies for the sake of vengeance and typically I wouldnt trust the word of a man whose willing to dehumanize and murder the fuck outta some kids for the sake of getting back at his coworkers as just a general rule. Seconed, Ansems knowlege on nobodies not only seems to be extensivly wrong but he also even outright lies at some points in order to get Roxas and Riku to do as he pleases, pretending to be tiddy ansem in order to get riku to not only attack said coworkers but to get riku to use darkness against said co-workers, this mother fucker didnt even fuckin blink when Riku was about to yeet his sword into Zexions skull like a fuckin javelin and had no problems with Riku getting so infected by darkness that it began physically turning him into ansem.

Not to mention Ansems himself streight up admitted that he wasnt in his right state of mind and his blind hatred and want for revenge streight up changed him into something else so literally everything he says and this includes anything mentioned about his old co-workers can be taken with a grain of salt.

Seconed, theres two questions that need to be answered.

1: when did the scene in ddd with terranort doing the stabby stab to the crew.

And 2: *Why* did the betrayel happen.

The first first question helps to answer the seconed. Specifically if that scene happened BEFORE the betrayel took place. If after I then the betrayel makes no fucking sense.

My reasons being that from what we're given there is literally no fucking reason for the rg crew to betray ansem. Literally everyone ((accept braig)) seems to have a high amount of respect and even love for the guy and dont really seem to have issue with him.

Lex: seems to still retain loyalty to Zexion and for the most part kept his soft spoken stalwart nature even as a nobody.

Zexion: baby

Dilan: literally almost began crying at Ansems return

Even: put himself in harms way to redeem himself, was trusted by ansem enough to be dad number2 and as far as we know was ansems head scientist. (And dont gimme that FOR SCIENCE bull shit, vexen was a slut for science but even knew when to use the safeword dammit)

None of them are shown to have any reason to dislike or want Ansem gone so exactly why would they betray him???

The answer:

They didnt have a fuckin choice.

Because theres a wee thing that the fandom forgot about.

Zombification.

As seen with Roxas, Xion, and even Axel has mentioned he and the othere whent through it, when you become a nobody you're basically a zombie. Head empty, no thoughts, not even a name. Your just an empty shell running on autopilot.

And as shown by Roxas and Xion, when you through the zombie phase? Your more subseptable to suggestions, your basically an entirely different person, and you have no idea who or what the fuck you are.

This lack of agency, this blankbrain? Easy to take advantage of. I think its entirely possible that terranort yeeted everyones hearts, took advantage of the zombie process and had the grew toss ansem in their nonemotive states. This not only would explain why everyone did the betrayel dispite not having reason to but also why when they all got their hearts back it hit Vexen extra hard, enough to go full nobody again, put himself in more danger, and proceed to fuck over the real org in the background and rescue ansem.

So in other words the crew literally had no choice but to go along with it, any agency they could have had in the situation was robbed of them the moment the stab happened so fuck.

This just makes it all extra sad. Since most likely the "they" ienzo was referring to when it came to saying someone told him ansem was mad, most likely that was either Lex or Vex so most likely they realized what they did later, realized it was a bad, but didnt care enough to fix it cause ya know lolno<3 amd decided to instead tell the kid a kind lie to spare him the truth of what they did. So in a sense their bonds with ienzo made it through the whole becoming nobodies thing.

My current partner is seriously the exception lol she truly gives No fucks lol (that’s for a later convo tho lol) the key is changing you perspective.

 I’ll admit I didn’t have a bit of attraction to Red , she wasn’t pretty and smelled to much like earth for me . Peanut loved her so I went with it. We all hung out, Red, Peanut and I and for the most part it was cool. We held hands with Peanut, cooked for her, kissed her in each other’s presence. It didn’t feel weird to me at all. I didn’t care that they fucked often, hell they had sex in my bed with me in it lol we even tried a threesome but Red got weird for wtv reason lol.

I experienced my first look of jealously in a poly situation. I honestly thought I would be super cool and mature about sharing my lover, I wasn’t. Now most women would feel insecure about seeing your partner fuck someone else, u know what got me? It was the intimacy that made me feel neglected in this new found openness I was experiencing .Peanut would take Red on dates and leave me home, or spend hours on the phone with her and maybe an hour with me. It made me insanely jealous. So what did I do … I cheated. Now how the fuck do you cheat in a relationship that gives you the freedom to do and fuck whomever you want? Simple we both stopped communicating and started lying to each other.

 POLY FLAG: COMUNICATION IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN ANY OPEN RELATIONSHIP. Sad that this has to be said but when I first walked into this poly life I was still holding on to insecurities and lies. In an open situation like what I had, I could have voiced my concerns to Peanut and then expressed my desire for another person.

WHAT POLY IS NOT: Egotistical, manipulative, uncommunicative or selfish. If you have a hard time with any of these things THIS LIFE AINT FOR YOU FAM!

  This life I live is easy. Mostly because I’ve been through it enough to have grown and matured as woman, partner and sister wife. You can be open and happy if you choose but please make no mistake you gotta be real about who you are and what you want. In this blog I want to show my experiences good and bad with polyamory and the many variations it carries. My experiences over the years have made me realize that this is what I want I implore you to ask me any questions and ill share as much of my partners as they are comfortable.  This is just me, a girl really digging this ride! What are your personal thoughts on Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight? To me, it's such a cool anime (but still an LL fan). Mimorin and Hinahina are both in it.

Honestly more attached to the seiyuus than the characters I enjoyed StarRev so far, but only because I’m really fond of Banana-chan and Junna. There are many things I keep rolling my eyes at but I will still keep watching it. The animation is super gorgeous and I love the songs.

Probably unpopular opinion but I”ll be honest here:

As main characters, I feel both Karen and Hikari quite flat. Karen’s drive to win the Revue is shallow compared to the other girls’. That’s especially shown in ep3 - Maya acknowledges Claudine but she also understands that there can only be one Top Star. And so, the best she could do is to keep Claudine as number2, her partner.

Karen kept arguing that she wants to be Top Stars with Hikari but, why? What’s the real story behind it, other than a childhood promise? I know more backstory/information will be revealed of course, but for a MC, it’s really bad not to give the audience a relatable/compelling drive XD;;

Tbh, I was really pissed off when she easily neutralized Hikari and Junna’s fight in ep1, and easily defeating Junna in ep2. Like, wtf, you just entered the Revue out of nowhere and OP’d your way through both matches? Don’t fcking look down on bows & arrows I get quite defensive about that I’ll just pretend Junna lost because she’s still recovering and she had doubts. No one faints from exhaustion and bounce right back up ready for a fight.

Hence I cheered so much when Maya beat her. You learn from loss/defeat, so hopefully Karen will grow as a protagonist after that, perhaps re-evaluate why she’s in the Revue at all.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Karen. She’s sweet and kind, and I understand her reasoning of wanting to break the rules/traditions so that everyone can be a Top Star. But yeah, I just find the delivery of her goal poorly done.

Don’t get me started on Hikari. The only plus point she has atm is that her VA is Mimorin. That’s it. Not fond of constantly brooding chars. If only they’d shown enough hints why she’s angsting.

Nothing much to say about Futaba and Kaoruko atm, just that I do like their dynamic with the group so far but I do need more info on them. Ditto for Mahiru, but I do feel really bad for her. (I’m sorta reminded of VividRed Operation, of the triangle between Akane, Aoi and Rei. Yup, I didn’t like Rei either lol)

Maya and Claudine should just smut already with all that sexual tension are intriguing and very meme-able. Maya’s song in ep3 is my fav one so far cuz the lyrics fits her so damn much, I love it. This is Sparta.

Last but not least, best girls Banana and Junna. iirc Junna is the only one who calls her actual name Nana instead of her nickname and y’all know how weak I am towards special names (Lily-Yocchan hello) but that’s not why they’re my best girls. Banana, mom of the group, genuinely tries to befriend Hikari and in ep3 is actually trying out being director, which I think is really cool. Junna is a very hard worker and I always have a soft spot for underdogs. Those who work hard deserve to get recognized and not being easily swept away by some OP’d MC cheh

Anyway, this is not my final opinion on StarRev. There are still room for improvement. This is only ep3 after all.

The Giraffe? I’ve long given up trying to make sense. If this is some magical girl/fantasy genre show, I won’t mind but … isn’t this supposed to be closer to real life…???
