An ex-con, an ex-xman, and ex-adventurer!!! (minus the ex-con and ex-xman).

Bo had gone to a boarding school for kids with traits like he has, aka kids that have magic abilities, or come from a long line of adventurers and are going to work in the same profession. Despite the fact that he has the ability to cast magic, and use magic, he was not raised as such. Bo wasn’t raised to be a witch, wizard, spellcaster, whatever you wanna call it

he was raised around the sword and shield, the good ol’ classic hardwork of pigsticking a slime with a sharp ass metal. yeah. that one.

There’s a reason for this, obviously. i mean. its not just cruel acts by the head of the school, no. No, Bo’s magic is. finicky. It’s not as easy as elemental magic, such as dealing with fire or water. It’s not as easy as generic, or written spells, or potion work, or the whole shebang.

His magic, if left untrained or unattended, is capable of fucking with his own mana levels, and others’. as well as, if strong enough potentially kill a bitch,..

call it whatever you want, vampiric, yin and yang, the reaper’s touch, soul sucking, what EVER, it doesnt matter its all the same.

thats the irony. bo cannot control it properly, but it is under maintenance using an old relic the school had, conveniently, on hand (i lief they went searching for it)

so, no, he cant kill a guy, but he can make them exceptionally tired if bo’s running low and needs some gogo juice. he can, however, kill plants. which makes formwork exceptionally hard for him, and is why he sticks to more animal work than using plants.

anyways.

that story with amelia is the same. bo’s cousin, died in battle over in galdora, affected him deeply, he left midway through his training over in gotoro, went TOTALLY off the radar.

came back to the farm per rodney’s (amelias husband) request, was handed a bunch of amelia’s old stuff, and the deed to the farm should he want it.

amongst amelia items was a small vial that was broken by another witch in the country bo had moved to, and released two disgustingly slimy salamander things. (this is a change, cuz it used to be two human-looking demons)

you like familiars with witches? grear cuz bo has two.

its explained to bo that these “salamanders” are actually demons that go WAY back in the family bloodline, back to when the barabell family first got in touch with a higher being that could grant them magical abilities. these demons were the trade off.

both safairry (previously cain) and rarify (previously jack) make it their job to nitpick everything bo does and also try to convince him to preform a ritual to get them out of their salamander state and back into the demons they once were.

anyways, you might ask “well now u have all this worldbuilding, but what about the other villagers?? huh?? and other people thingies, how does bo interact with them??”

bo keeps to himself a lot. he rarely goes into town beyond the essentials, so he’s not friends with a lot of people. however, he does get visits from sam occasionally, as well as sebastian, since they used to be friends from when bo, during points in which the boarding school went on long breaks and he needed a place to stay, would stay on the farm with rodney and amelia.

despite bos dislike of the adventuring field, he does have to go up into the mines and interact with people like magnus and marlon to actually get somewhere. after bo had (somehow??) found his way onto ginger island and (FOR SOME REASON???) got to the top of the volcano, he got himself tied into galdora

this, of course, was because lance had stopped by after their inital meeting, they chatted, and lance may or may not have let it slip that one of amelia’s (a good, but old friend of camilla’s) family members is in town.

and staying, from what it looks like.

also with romance shit or whatever, bo has to cope with the fact that he cannot genuinely care about his future boyfriends or his current friends. that. that was some self discovery on my bit, and now is getting forced into my farmer. i made his schooling time absolute hell, so ill make his love life hell too. fuck you bo.

A huge hole is forming

I've been in the Excelsior Henderson game since pretty much the beginning. Around 1999. Although I didn't buy/own one until 2001.

The community although small is very strong and supports pretty much each of the members some how some way. My youtube channel is an example (which is not exactly successful). The club is another. Friendships of course. Inner networking. AND..... Atlantic EH.

Jamie and Marty Jones started Atlantic EH in Elkton Virginia shortly after the factory closed its doors. Jamie and Gary (Jumper) Houk both started buying parts off shelves from dealerships all across the right coast that were getting out of the EH business. With their own money no less. ....

Jamie, is a well experienced mechanic. European sports cars mechanic, Diesel mechanic, and heavy equipment mechanic. I'm going to say he probably had quite a few years working on motorcycles also before then.

Their business was a huge gamble. Only so many customers out there..... the number was way below 2000. At the time it wasn't an immediate success, but did well, as the east coast owners supported them whole heartily. Jamie working out of the attached 2 stall garage of their home.

Here in the flatlands.... I had heard of them... but didn't know much other than that. We were dealing 99% with Bobby (Xman) Baldwin, and a touch with John Jones in Minnesota.

Basically thru attrition, we started dealing with Atlantic EH, and never looked back.

Jamie/Marty made another huge step, an attached shop, virtually doubling the square footage of their home. Something that can handle many X's at one time. Jamie thought this shop out well, and it worked.

In all the years I connected with them, Jamie was never ever less than 6 X's in or around his shop waiting for his soft touch. He had no need for work. They didn't need to advertise, as the bikes rolled in.

They held annual parties at their home for ALL of their customers. I did get to make one of those, and never felt so welcomed by so many strangers.

It was a promise that when you called to order parts or ask questions, the phone call was going to be close to an hour every time. Many times more so. They wanted to know the weather, hows the family, hows your X, "are you doing good?".... If Jamie didn't have time to talk, you could email him. He'd do email every Sunday, with replies.

I had an issue with my X, that needed some special order parts out of Las Vegas.... that were expensive. Marty just sent them to me. Me being confused called her immediately to cipher what was going on. She told me, use what I needed of these parts, which she'd bill me, and send the rest back.... no charge. (time sert kit). WHAT?

I'm guessing by now, that all readers are picking up, I cannot praise these fine people enough, for everything they have done for our community. You are correct... I could write anecdotes for pages. ..

Jamie found out last week.... he's pretty much full of cancer. Yes its terminal. The time line they are giving him is sooooooooo short. I'm besides myself, as there is nothing I can do for them from here. I have some good X friends that are much closer and doing everything they can to make this a smooth process.

Marty before this.... has been having her own personal battle with Alzhiemers, and Jamie has committed himself to helping her, and working on X's in between. Jamie officially retired as the "official" Super X mechanic 2 summers ago in the Wisconsin Dells.

And this huge hole is forming within our community. There will be other heros within our group, no doubt. But none will be equal to our first 25 years of the Jones.

Saw some Brazilian Youtubers and one them make a small parody of "if I was Disney exe how I would do the Xman" and MAN...THEIR IDEAS WERE SO GOOOD.

Of course Disney wouldn't ever do half of those things.

But if I could direct the Xmen into the mcu.

I would deff make Kitty my protagonsit.

●She has to be openly Jewish and Bi(and no, enough of making her having queer moments with women she knows since they were kids)

●She is a young adult. 18-20 ish. She is a young genius and a co-worker jelly of her skyrocket sucess...somehow finds out Kitty is sctually a mutant and calls the right authority to take her out.

●Kitty meets the Xmen. She ends up going with them (she does mourn her old life and tries to navigate her new one)

(No Wolverine. And Scott is not here to be the butt of a joke. I saw this bc it is important to adress his role as leader and his relationship. I'm aboard for Scott being autistic and still being "slim")

●She befriends Ororo. Of course. She is in awe at her (we can have Storm giving a bit of her backstory and her role as leader #2 who may be in full use in the next movies....in my lalaland)

●She is afraid of Kurt. Oh bc he looks like a demon? That would be too wasy. I would go a different route. She is not much afraid of him, as she is wary as he is german. The conflict ends up as they sit down and talks and Kurt talks a bit about himself and his past ( He was raised by roma. I would ignore the whole "Amanda and Kurt dated" bc is wierd and goes nowhere and not a fan of his adopted family, roma, being shitty. They dont want to kill Kurt but they are in conflict bc "Steffan did bad stuff but he was our son/bro" which results o Amanda having a cold relationship with him. Ahe uses her magic to help others of her circle but has 0 intention of meeting Kurt)

●No Pheonix. But I'm ok with Hellfire club and Emma trying to poach Kitty...only to be rejected.

● She admires Jean, who is doing her best to help the students in the school.

● No kiotr.

● The first main villain wouldn't be magneto but rather the dude who made the sentinels. I could take a bit of Gods kill...KITTY DOESNT USED SLURS

● More representation on screen.

●Kitty joining the Xmen. Taking the fight as her but she has some reservations on Prof X (he would still do shaddy things as in the comics, but would have a saving grace that he does what he does for the best of his team)

● Kitty meets the Merlocks. Ororo is a badass. Kitty is saved and the Xmen menages to talk to them and reach an understanding, sort of.

● They destroy the sentinel. And we see how many goverments say no to.sentinels. which gives a small sense of victory for them.

● A post credit scene where Kitty while doing her parts with friends and such. Sees Jean acting strange and the woman asks for as in an urgent tone and she says "Genosha is in trouble" and ....the movie ends here.

Yep. I could say more but it would be a post too big.

They’re very calloused and scarred but surprisingly soft. He always tries to take good care of himself and lotions that smell like flowers are his favorites.

He loves eating and he eats a lot. His favorite kind of meals are asgardian dishes, but, considering the destruction of original Asgard, most of the ingredients he loved the most are lost forever. But, he can still adapt most of the traditional dishes using midgardian ingredients and, so far, they work well and are certainly a tourism attraction in New Asgard. Honey bread, mead, roasted elk, apple pies and mashed potatoes are his favorite. 

4.   DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE A GOOD SINGING VOICE?  

He’s very loud (duh) and sings regardless of his voice being pleasant or not. He grew up to his Mother singing Vanir lullabies to him and Loki and he keeps those songs alive by singing them when he thinks he’s alone

5.   DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE ANY BAD HABITS OR NERVOUS TICKS?

He’s working to become a calm person, but that’s very challenging for him. He feels way calmer after punching someone who deserves it in the teeth

6.    WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE USUALLY LOOK LIKE / WEAR?  

When he’s not in heavy armor in official events or in battle, he’ll opt for comfortable clothes like tunics and breeches. In Midgard, he’ll wear sweaters and sweatpants, whatever makes him feel warm and safe

7.   IS YOUR MUSE AFFECTIONATE? HOW SO?  

Very. Thor doesn’t think he’s that good with words so he definitely shows his love by cooking for special people (either his friends, family or partners), bringing them meaningful gifts and spending quality time together

8.  WHAT POSITION DOES YOUR MUSE SLEEP IN?  

He sleeps in any position he finds comfortable, depending on the situation. Either curled on himself to protect most vulnerable bits if he happens to be in an unfamiliar environment or sprawled on his back when he happens to be in his own bed. He’ll arrange his partner on top of his chest though

9.  COULD YOU HEAR YOUR MUSE IN THE HALLWAY FROM ANOTHER ROOM?

Definitely. He’s not known for being sneaky and quiet, he’s loud and people can hear him from across the street

Yoshi is a perfect sort of slytherin cause he's just so unseemingly unlike one most people are already used to

Like remember how in that one tmap episode where he managed to figure out Junkyu was the xman when nobody else suspected him at all?? Like the guy is really observant and he knows people around him pretty well, he just doesnt talk or express it often

And idk thats just such a distinctive trait for a slytherin, cause i have a feeling that despite how soft and kind Yoshi is, it still doesnt change the fact that he can and is sort of edgy when he's in his element (take his rapping for example and how he write his lyrics too) and he also plays off that quiet type a lot too so you really dont have much insight in what his thoughts are

Like i have a lot of details to play around with Slytherin!Yoshi tbh he's just so perfect in it but in an oddly unfitting way if you get what im saying ig im pretty sure im rambling atm lmaoo

Part 2 X’s and my history

It took me a lot of years to get all of the “ fixes/updates” done. But once done, our scoots are just as reliable as anything else out there.... well in my head I truly believe it. I’m not afraid to take it any where. And I know of several X’s out there with more miles than mine.

There was a saying I believe one of our community members came up with .... Ol Jumper said  .... “some of it depended on which day of the week they built your bike....”   I don’t believe this is factual in any way, but I do find it very funny.

With all the fixes out there, and a forum site to exchange ideas... it was very technical for the times. An owner with some mechanical skills could do them themselves.

In the very beginning from my end of the world the first “vendor” out there was Bobby (Xman) Baldwin. He had seen some unknown issues that were not recognized thru the www or the factory, and had fixes for them. We (Jake, Josh, and I) used Bobby a lot back then. He had lots of parts.

Then, I was reading about Atlantic EH a lot. They were located on the east coast, where most of the communities strength was. In another sense, for some reason, east coast Owners were really into the EH world.

This was a very good thing, but even with www, us here in the flatlands, were not getting the latest and greatest for fixes,.... sometimes 2 years later. I can’t imagine how slow this information came to the California owners, or folks in other countries.

Jamie/Marty owned operated full time Atlantic EH out of Elkton Virginia. They got into EH, for the love of the bike and a local friend Gary (jumper) Houk.

Jamie and Jumper were buying out what ever they could afford from closed out dealerships.

Jumper being a true biker, and Jamie with his mad mechanical skills, gained a lot of fame within the community. Jumper being the HUGE in life best ambassador to our community, and Jamie figuring out how to do just about anything with these bikes. NOTE: Jamie had no factory training with our beasts.

Dan Hanlons assist...  we’d run out of parts, and he’d contact his old vendors, and have them build a new batch. This guy is amazing.

He has no gain in this play. He has remained involved with us owners. Not daily or regular, but when time allows. MANY of us owners have met him personally thru the years. I have no knowledge of this level of being involved, but he is a major part of this piece of history. Including Jamie/Marty.

This past September, Jamie formally announced to the group gathered at the Wisconsin, that he and Marti needed to retire.... and was handing over the reins to Mike/Sandy Seastrom in Arkansas (some great people). 

Jamie is still working on X’s, but not near the pace before the announced retirement. I suspect Jamie will be working on X’s until he can’t lift a wrench. They are a huge piece of history of this era of X’s. If you own an X and ride it or have updated it, you know Jamie/Marti at Atlantic EH. They were the source. I just can’t stop talking about them.

Helped me many times even via a phone call. Tons of emails. All the parts. And their pretty annual get together I felt fortunate to attend one year. 

With all the parts now in Arkansas at Mike and Sandi’s....  EHparts.com is where you’ll find them. Met Mike and Sandi for the first time when they stopped by and purchased our old DWS. They are very driven folks, and want to do the right thing.... they are going to do very well at this for the community. They built a brand new huge building, to support their new business Vahalla Motor Works. EHparts is part of this. Mike knows his way around X’s and is an excellent wrench. 

During the past few years of Jamie/Marti’s fame, Dan also started another “shop” in Minnesota (I think Minnesota has the highest number of owners in the community)... Duane Judge. Duane spent some time learning details with Jamie. Duane is still at it, and I consider him a friend, he’s good stuff and a good X wrench. I turn down X work time to time for X’s from this area, mostly as I’ll be busy working on other things. If the party is from this area, I always suggest Duane...   yeah he’s that good.

I feel I need to explain there were others who tried to make it, working on our machines. Some owners with strong loyalty’s to them.

The biggest was John Jones in LeSuer Minnesota. He made some big investments buying out parts from Swift, and then Xman. John fell the way side, due to some bad decisions.

Dan, bought all of Johns parts....   there is a long boring story here about these parts, with some crazy details. But lets just say, some of these parts have more miles traveling the USA, that a lot of our bikes. These parts are now owned by Mike Seastrom.

OK... lots of talk about parts. This would be the biggest item of worry for people who don’t own one. Let me just explain this simply..

The factory IS closed. There are LOTS of parts. With Mike and Dan supporting the owners, its going to be a long time before parts become critical. We are lucky to have them involved.          enough about parts..

In the early years of ownership, it was quite the challenge to keep #525 up and running. At times when we had 3 in our ownership, it was a promise to be an adventure anytime you took one out.

I wouldn’t deter from riding, but there were times of discouragement. The old guys on the north side of town that I was riding with then,.... would just humorously torment me with my “oddball” bike.

“do you need to drag a magnet behind you to keep the parts?” so on and so forth. In all honesty, it was hilarious, and a guy just couldn’t help but laugh at the truth.

Lessons of working on my X, I had experienced lots of “back up and start again”. It was a learning curve for sure.

Thru the years, with my involvement with the forum sites, and working on our X’s, I gained some reputation. I had a couple of very long interesting conversations with Jamie (I still can’t thank him enough for the help).

Because of my notoriety, I kind of became the local authority here in Nebraski to work on them, and help out new owners locally. I’m not real sure of the numbers, but it’s pushing 10 different X’s, and I still get requests locally. Sometimes they bring them here, sometimes I just help out over the phone, others I travel there. All very much fun.

Around 10 years ago Dan decided to get up his own website, to promote the name, and support the owners. On this site he started his own forum. I still don’t know to this day how this happened, but Dan chose me to run that site. In other words, help owners, and answer questions about working on X’s. I really took pride in that assignment, and I still go to it, and help out. A very good X owner in California Greg Cifu now runs it. He is the shit!! and knows his stuff with some great writing skill. Xhmotorcycles.com    its a great site with tons of information besides the forum.

As for reliability? ...  I’ve got over 50000 miles on 525. I’ve ridden it to Sturgis 7 times. Deep into Kansas twice. Minnesota twice. Iowa 3 times. Have ridden in Arkansas, Colorado (twice), Wisconsin Dells.... plus all over Nebraski.

At almost 70 now I constantly question myself on how much longer will I be able to operate 525 safely. I love riding it.... as soon as I’m on it, I’m 20 years old again, until I get off, and then I’m 80. Everyone I ride with, says I do very well.

I remember riding with another guy years ago, that was 70, and he was terrible, and dangerous. On different trips to motorcycle gatherings I’ve followed “old guys” who just terrified me. I do not want to be “that guy”.

Hoping I’ll be paying attention, to when the message is sent to me, that I should reconsider quitting.

I now only own 1 X. We sold Josh’s X to Mike Seastrom a few years back. My nephew Devin bought Jake’s X. Devin and I do ride together on occasion,.  With his ownership, I’ve been teaching him the ins and outs as time passes. He just loves his X, and our time together.

When we had all 3 of them... the boys and I would all be working on them. Some of the best times working with your sons, wrenching on unknown territory..
