since i'm quite fond of my hcs where Kaito had serious anger issues when his dad died along with growing up to be a terrifying fighter from gang fights, i thought of how when his mom and Nakamori stepped in to help him
i thought this could be a good oppurtunity to reference the Kurogane family from YAIBA for a bit since they're in the DCMK canon too. maybe Chikage is friends with Michiko and asked her to teach Kaito to temper his rage and grief into something less self-destructive. that could lead the Kurogane couple to teach him meditation and the basics of kendo alongside their children
but then while i was watching tsurune, i remembered kyudo. since kyudo is known as moving meditation, i thought it would suit Kaito better to reflect and temper his anger. More so since kyudo is more focused on one's self instead of defeating an opponent
So since YAIBA emphasised on being a modern samurai, i thought the Kurogane family would lean more on teaching all aspects of the samurai art which includes kyudo. In fact, back then before the katana came to be, the samurai were more famous for their archery
plus, Kaito would look amazingly handsome in a kyudo dōgi. especially whenever he has to bare a shoulder to take a shot (that's usually in private and shinichi is always in a daze by such an appearance especially the majestic way Kaito shoots 🤩🔥😏)
while i still want him to be in the basketball club when he was in middle school, i also want him to be involved in kyudo somehow and what better way to do that than have him connected to the Kurogane family?
anyways, i just want Kaito to learn to be in control of his anger and grief. preferably from both therapy and kyudo
Instead of an omake this time we have the 'Yaiba v Kaito' extra chapter!! I've seen the animated version of this but the manga naturally has nothing of the Conan stuff... 😅
From that day I went to the Aoyama museum with my cousin(I’m the one wearing a blue hoodie and my cousin is the one wearing a white shirt). The only thing you need to know is that “kenka shiteru” means “they’re fighting”.
Done re-organizing my hard drive so here's the list of my "for later" things I've got planned if y'all are really that interested in my anime/manga habits. I was reminded that I have access to great power and 4 terabytes of free hard drive space so I just. Tossed them all on.

Then, his father tells him to go to Japan and train because he has nothing left to teach him anymore
Yaiba does as told and meets Onimaru at the airport. Sayaka and Raizo stop their fight and then, take him to their dojo
After calling him a gorilla, Yaiba fights against Muto and wins, impressing the others
Yaiba creates trouble in school and later fights Onimaru. They create more and more trouble and really turn into rivals
Important plot development:
First appearance of Yaiba Kurogane, Shonosuke, Kenjuro Kurogane, Kagetora, Sayaka Mine, Raizo Mine, Shizuka Mine, Fuji Mine and Takeshi Onimaru
Yaiba goes to Japan for a better training
We get to know that Kenjuro and Raizo were rivals and that he was asked to take care of Yaiba
We get to know that Onimaru has won the Kendo Asia tournament
Onimaru and Yaiba meet for the first time and they begin to become rivals
Yaiba meets a girl (Sayaka) for the first time and wants to protect her
Yaiba doesn't really know how to behave in his new society
Rating:
6/10 Kendo swords
I think it's a nice start to the anime. Yaiba is a bit annoying in this episode, but there are also many funny scenes. Still, we don't have too much plot development yet. All in all, it's a good, but not perfect beginning.
ON THIS DAY| Today marks the 5th anniversary of the broadcast of Episode 928: The Scarlet School Trip (Red Arc Love).
After the case is solved, Ran mentions a charming place Okita had told her about. As Sonoko and Masumi move ahead, Shinichi holds Ran back, asking about her feelings for him. He refers to Ran's recent encounter with Okita and questions if she has forgotten his confession in London. In response, Ran pulls him closer by grabbing his tie and kisses him on the cheek.
Shinichi attempts to reciprocate by kissing Ran on the lips, but the antidote starts to wear off, prompting him to hastily retreat. Masumi pursues, running into Heiji. She notices the rucksack Heiji is wearing, realizing it contains the shrunken Shinichi, but refrains from directly addressing the situation. Both Shinichi and Heiji understand that Masumi is aware of Shinichi being Conan.
A teacher from Teitan High School informs students of Shinichi's sudden departure due to an emergency, emphasizing the need for secrecy about his presence in Kyoto, as specifically requested by Shinichi.
Ran confides in Sonoko, revealing that she took Okita aside to return his talisman dropped during the Kendo Case. She apologizes for unintentionally opening the talisman, discovering a piece of wood and a picture revealing Moroha Kurogane, Okita's secret love and a skilled high school kendo practitioner. Okita discloses that Moroha is actually his rival Yaiba Kurogane's younger sister, expressing his intention to date Moroha after defeating Yaiba in kendo. Okita accepts Ran's explanation but urges her not to disclose this to Momiji, likely due to his feelings for her.
As Shinichi and Ran exchange texts discussing the significance of the kiss in their relationship, both express satisfaction with each other's declarations. Subsequently, Shinichi sends Ran a message affirming, "Of course, we are dating." Ran collapses onto her bed in a fit of giggles and giddiness.
Do you think Yaiba Kurogane from Yaiba series would made an appearance in Detective Conan series as a ‘main character’ like Kaito Kuroba (Kaito Kid) or not?

Part Two: https://alitheakorogane.tumblr.com/post/669010897864441858/other-gosho-boys-part-2
--------
All DCMK fans classify Gosho Boys as these four:
Shinichi Kudo (Detective Conan)
Kaito Kuroba (Magic Kaito)
Heiji Hattori (Detective Conan)
Saguru Hakuba (Magic Kaito)
But the term "Gosho Boys" bothers me at all. I mean, if a teenage male character who was created by Gosho Aoyama (which possibly had the looks and the fact that he can be part of a protagonist-rival relationship) can be classified a Gosho Boy, that means that there are other young male characters created by Gosho Aoyama that can classify them as part of the group.
Remember, Detective Conan and Magic Kaito is not the only works of Gosho Aoyama. There are characters that can classify as a Gosho Boy that was overshadowed by DCMK.
Yaiba Kurogane (Yaiba) - He is 14 years old in his main series, but in the epilogue of Yaiba and in 1005th chapter of Detective Conan, he's the same (or older) than Shinichi, with 17 years of age. He may not have the genius of the four other Gosho Boys, but he's have the talent of kendo, and is pretty clever when it comes to the sword as he has thought up many special attacks on the spot. And another qualification for him to be a Gosho Boy: he's the protagonist of his own show, hence his name in the title!
Soshi Okita (Yaiba) - The one who had the mixed features of Heiji and Shinichi, with the playful attitude of Kaito. He is 14 years old in Yaiba, and 17 years old in Detective Conan. He is actually skillful in kendo, and his innate talent can cause him to become the "most powerful samurai" soon.
Shigeo Nagashima (3rd Base 4th) - He is actually from Gosho Aoyama's obscure manga, "3rd Base 4th", an one-volume shounen sports manga. He is the third baseman on Kohnan High School's baseball team. However, he isn't a very good player until he happens to purchase a baseball bat from a strange little store, making him a good baseball player. He appears in Detective Conan as a cameo on its 383rd episode, a two-hour special.
Kazuhisa Inao (3rd Base 4th) - Like Nagashima-kun, he is from 3rd Base 4th, considered to be the rival of the protagonist. He is the son of a wealthy family, has a baseball glove which is also magical like Nagashima-kun's bat, and can throw extremely powerful fastballs. He appears in Detective Conan as a cameo on its 383rd episode, a two-hour special, alongside Nagashima-kun.
Keisuke Hara (Santa Claus of Summer) - He is the protagonist of "Santa Claus of Summer", a one-shot manga in Gosho Aoyama's Collection of Short Stories. In the story, he is dumped by his girlfriend and through an odd set of circumstances...he accidentally activates a weaponized satellite system that is set to destroy the Earth in 24 hours.
I will be adding more eligible young male characters deserving to be called a Gosho Boy!
