rp pet peeves : definitely people who follow first and never interact. Not to be mean (but I'm French and we're known for being straight-forward), but what the f- are you doing here? I'm an rp blog, nothing else. Plus it makes me feel like I'm being stalked, sometimes for all the wrong reasons. And in general, people who don't respect the basic rp etiquette are massive pet peeves/red flags.

fluff, angst, or smut : pls all of it. I don't have a preference in that regards, maybe out of the three, my least favorite is fluff but when I say that, I mean the fluff without plotting. If we plotted a fluff thread, I'm all for it tbh.

plots or memes : PLOTS. I do love memes as ice breakers but if we're gonna do something on the long run, I absolutely need to plot. Like I keep saying, I need to feel that my partners are just as invested as I am.

long or short replies : ... look 😂 I try writing short threads from time to time but the second I get invested in it, I tend to go overboard and write a lot. Moreover, Cin feels things a thousand times more than most people so I'm gonna have a lot to write lmao

time to write : I don't necessarily have a preferred time. I tend to write better in the morning but I'd rather write when the inspiration and motivation comes, no matter the time. Plus it's a hobby, I don't have a schedule for that lol

Y'know when you're super tired and become like half asleep and half awake for most of the night usually caused by a hot night or sounds outside? And you randomly start thinking about things that just don't make sense?

That happened to me just last night anddddd... got me thinking about SCPs all over again because I used to be obsessed about them.. especially SCP-049 ( plague doctor ) And I have no clue as to why but my brain went, " Y'know, Flames pfp looks like an SCP.. " and then my brain started flashing images of your pfp moving tendril-like arms as I closed my eyes again. Which was strange.. But I guess it happened because before I went to sleep I was watching a video about SCP-4335, who has tendrils and I guess my brain went " Ah, tendrils. " And idk if your pfp has tendrils or not but it looks awesome! Personally, I'm a bit of a fan about the style of both your pfp and header because I like fantasy styled type creatures. Idk. 🤣

Hehehe that's cool though! There are a lot of SCPs with such creative designs and abilities. 049 is a classic, and I definitely was mildly obsessed during my plague doctor phase [that phase is not over, simply dormant.....]

The creature in both my icon and blog header is called Gossamer, and it's kinda sorta my mascot, though I rarely do anything with it haha. Here's what it looks like:

The 'tendrils' act less like tentacles and more like lava lamp goop that buds and breaks off pieces as Goss moves around. In my head, it's a very cool thing, but I've not managed to animate it to my satisfaction yet. Oh well~

Gossamer is a spirit that is usually intangible, but with effort, it can interact with physical objects. It's unaffected by normal atmosphere and gravity, so it can drift through space if it wants to.

it very much is! it started as this collection of weird conspiratorial sounding reddit comments. the subreddit itself popped up to collate this shit when it became apparent this was someone kind of dumping their novel one paragraph at a time onto reddit. it centers around the “flesh interface” system — otherworldly constructs that seem to both dissolve reality (particularly flesh) and also allow travel/communication to somewhere else (where?) — as well as how one can make or seek to control one of these things.

so no its not a print book, but it has a thick literary tone compared to other internet works like SCP (and the author does eventually pop on to the sub to be like “haha yeah i started posting this because my books never got published”).

TW for a bunch of stuff tho... body horror, unreality, alcoholism, nsfw (in a prime time tv show way), anything related to cold war conspiracies (abduction, russophobia, CIA shit, LSD, etc)

War of the Worlds - Oh shit! I'm actually working on a tale series for that. It is taking a while with my other projects, so I apologize for that but yeah, I am working on it. So, expect that in the future.

E.T. - Hm... I'll have to see what I can do with that one. I might make it a tale or maybe make it a file. I don't know, but I'll figure it out. It's just going to take a while.

Alien - Yeah, I've been debating that one for a while. On one hand it's not impossible for the Foundation within SCP: HMF to send a scouting mission on one of the infected Xenomorph worlds. (Side Note: in one of the actual cannons of the SCP Foundation they actually created a ship that was able to leave the Milky Way so it's possible no matter what cannon you use.) But at the same time, I remember the Alien vs Predator movies. Which I can make cannon if I want to but... I don't know a small part of me just feels like that's wrong. I'll think of something.

Predator - Ah, yeah that too. I don't know maybe I'll end up going with AVP after all. It's just going to take a while.

hi! i have a question, does professor membrane still doesn't believe in the paranormal in the ESPdib au? (i mean if your children get kindapped and come back with superpowers) also we know dib tried really hard to control his esp enough to no harm anyone but i feel like gaz would have ABSOLUTELY burned the house at some point (may or may not be on purpose)

Well, Fae are kinda treated like SCPs in this au. As in only a few people know they're real, and the knowledge of their existence is kept under lock and key. The professor knows they're real, since he's part of the scientific community, and he's fascinated by the magical energy they use. He knows Gaz and Dib were kidnapped by Fae and are now part-Fae themselves. He has a lot more empathy for his children in this AU however, and he urges them to keep their powers hidden. He's worried that if the secret of their kidnapping and powers gets out, they'll be taken away from him and used in experiments. So he's part of the reason they learned to control their powers so quickly: he was there to help them every step of the way.

Dib was paranoid from the get-go about his abilities due to his trauma and some events that transpired during his and Gaz's escape, but Gaz was quite young when they escaped so she doesn't remember a time before her powers. She thinks her abilities are super cool and has intentionally set buildings and cars on fire just for fun. Imagine a toddler with the ability to spontaneously cause arson. Yeah. Gaz has set the Membrane house on fire several times, but it was always explained away as "Oh one of the Professor's experiments got out of hand haha!"

Tl;dr - Yes he believes in Faeries since they're scientifically proven to exist, and Gaz has willingly committed arson at least five times before age 10.

Dr. Blue sighs, returns to her desk and clears her throat. Apologies for the outburst, whoever gets to review this. I'm just... super excited. And nervous. I now have access to all the SCPs contained here, instead of just being Head Researcher for 7619 and 24601. Daunting- but I'm ready for it.

Thoughts on TMA, ep 1:

-I really liked it! I mean, I knew I would cause literally Everyone does, but yeah, it was definitely right up my--haha, oh god--alley! It felt super SCP-like, and y'all know how much I love reading files on creepy things!

-That said, BRO I ACTUALLY GOT SCARED. LIKE, SQUEALING SCARED. I generally listen to podcasts at night, with the lights off and lying down in bed, and no joke I had to open my eyes cause it was getting to me. And it's only ep 1? FUN!

-I feel like I'm gonna get lost as fuck with the characters and plot but I'll manage, I bet. They mentioned a lot of name, which I've all heard, so this will be cool (also, Jon doesn't like Martin? Ohoho...)
