I know we all talk about the talent in Rhys' acting when Stede screams after Chauncey kills himself (as he should be appreciated for it!), but I remember watching the finale and seeing Ed sitting on the window sill bawling and thinking "holy fuck Taika" cause that hit hard

Come watch dungeon meshi we have a (seemingly) typical white autistic man who doesn't understand social norms, an autistic man of colour who overcompensates for social deficits by being too good at social norms (while still struggling socially), and we even have the "grew up autistic but also Asian so I have a very good understanding of cultural and social norms but I still struggle socially" variety of autistic man.

"You just KNOW that if Cazador was even remotely hot you would never see the end of people shipping him with Astarion"
he... he is hot? pretty, at least. i feel neutrally about him. there's not a single physically unattractive character in this game. because i'm an adult who goes outside i feel comfortable saying that a character who does repulsive things is physically attractive.
the reason there's not much ship content for him is because he's astarion's abuser and the storyline is explicitly about abuse. like, the storyline is well-written and never confuses or conflates the two things. i need you to have more faith in the idea that people do actually understand the media they're consuming.

It's definitely mostly a me thing (and I don't have an actual problem when people do this lol), but I hate HATE when people are referring to two characters in a ship and talk about them as each other's "other halves". I hate that phrase SOOO much. Like NO!! they are not two halves that make a whole!! They are two wholes that make something so cool and interesting and beyond themselves!! But they are still their own people!!! (Like technically they're each half of the relationship, but they aren't the other half of each other)
I LOVEEEE when people display characters existing as their own people outside of the ships they're in. It's definitely the aromantic in me but as much as I enjoy shipping, I do not enjoy a character's whole existence in fandom spaces being nothing more than a vessel for a relationship
