Calculester Hewlett-Packard does really well in school. He has the internet as his brain, everything known by man at his fingertips. I wouldn’t assume he talks about school much because he knows he has a huge advantage over everybody else and doesn’t want to upset people by telling them that he has straight A’s in most of his classes. This rule especially applies to you, Cal knows that you don’t do the best in school. Whether you are a person who tries super hard and still doesn’t make it that far or decides to skip class multiple times a week, I would imagine Calculester would be clueless about your struggles.

I would think that he would only notice after midterms.

Everybody is sharing their scores. Liam is subtly bragging about how he got the highest in the school, Polly is super excited to show everybody that she got a 69 and Scott is relieved that he just did good enough to stay on the football team. You on the other hand, aren’t really happy about your score, you did your best, or maybe you didn’t, point is, you got a 20. Cal comes up to you asking about your score, you were hesitant to show him, but after he showed you his score of 89, you showed him your score.

“Oh, dear Friend Y/N. Not to alarm you, but that has been the lowest score I have seen yet. I apologize for your test failure.”

You look down in shame, you thought at least somebody would have done worse.

“I notice your struggles now Friend Y/N. If you are open to the idea, I could teach you what I know, like tutoring. Your problem may be that the strategies the professors here use aren’t effective for you to learn from. What do you say?”

You decide to take him up on his offer and once you begin your first session at the library. Calculester proves himself to be a great teacher, he knows how to tailor the way he teaches to match your learning style. You get through worksheets faster and actually begin learning the material. Along with potentially turning your marks around, you also begin to connect with Calculester more than you have already before! As you get him to talk about himself during your breaks, you learn about the way he also tutors Scott and how much of a struggle it was. You learned that even though he is a sentient computer, he still has so much he still needs to learn about interacting with others. You also learn a couple new plant facts!

When your next big test came up for your science class a couple months later, you went into it with a newfound confidence, an attitude completely different from your usual one. Calculester wished you luck, he was confident you would do amazingly, but deeper down, he was nervous for you. He dreaded the possibility that you come back with a terrible score again, he was scared that you would lose faith in him as a teacher and along with that, your trust; He could have sworn he was about to malfunction with how worried he was for you.

As you received your scores a week later, you instantly go to find Cal to show him your score. You try to hide the smile on your face, but you can’t as you give him your paper marked with a large 79 at the top. Relief washed over him and pulled you into a hug. He was so glad he was able to help you, both of your hard work paid off and he was glad that you had managed to achieve your goal with his help, validating his ability as a tutor. As the bell rang, you guys walked to your next class together. As you guys passed his classroom, you shouted to him as he was going to walk in.

“See you after school for our study session!”

So.... why do Monster Prom's best feats come from people's stomachs? Like.

Ok, first of, Oz's stomach is able to contain the Totem of Z'Gord, which can create earthquakes.

Then, it's mention in one of the conversations with Coach that the player character's stomach can contain nuclear waste.

And finally in Monster Roadtrip, Polly, Scott, and the Player eat a burger with literally everything on it. As in, absolutely everything. In existence. And they eat it with no problems. Monster Prom has what is technically a universal vore feat.

The(3)main player characters

Aka my main monster prom OC and his friends along with their drinks to help describe their personalities or aesthetics

First Sparkles Glowbright,ex-prince of Villa of Monocerotem, a very magical adept White Unicorn

Sparkles is my main monster prom oc. He's calm, collected, and goes with the flow(Yes, like Brian.)Unlike Brian, he's more energetic, he enjoys dancing, walking, and magic tricks with physical requirements. He's also much more thoughtful than most of the monsters in Spooky High, resorting to murder less, more education-focused, and less sexually interested preferring to take it slow. Sparkles, despite(hopefully)what a lot of future art shows isn't actually in Spooky Academy, his reason for being there along with his actual school is to be discussed later for his backstory.

Next is Draco Lung, the son of a Western fire dragon and an Eastern lightning dragon(also the brother of an Eastern water dragon).

Draco, short for Draconic, is a stereotypical greedy dragon, he doesn't steal damsels and force them to marry him as he finds that sexist and weird. Unlike Vera, Draco is lazy, stealing from shops, kingdoms, and even fountains for his fix of money obsession. (Hell, that last one was how he met Sparkles in the first place.)Another example of his laziness is his obsession with sleeping, likely due to the energy of being such a huge beast. While he isn't a complete jackass he's rude and just as quick to violence as several monsters threatening to fight someone if they annoy him enough.

Next up is Feng Xuang, a FENGHUANG not a PHOENIX or a VERMILION BIRD

Feng is the one I have the least plot thought out for. He likes astrology and astronomy due to the real-life monster corresponding to Celestial bodies and beings. He's obsessed with fire, not like just an arsonist, he likes playing with it, eating it, looking at it. Fenghuang mating rituals have two Fenghuangs doing a mating dance of death that combines both parents' personalities into one egg making Feng an orphan. He hates to be referred to as other similar mythical bird species. He's cheery and upbeat but a general everyman who enjoys preppy culture.

Last but not least, Mh'athra.Deity of Sacred Secrecy and darkness

Mh'athra is technically canon, but I'm giving her a non-canon design. Sparkles became a mortal contact for Mh'athra when he snuck into one of the cult headquarters on his way to Monstropolis and read a book that allowed it to come into the monster realm with his magic. Mh'athra is an asshole, she’s extremely dismissive of Zoe and her choice of becoming part of mortal kind, like the carnival mirror event, unlike the mirror event Mh'athra is actively cruel and even dead names Zoe while alternate Z'gord is dismissive but tries to talk her into rejoining her "purpose." While it's evil, it's not actively malicious, not currently into recreating the Nothingness.

Hes fear itself, he's older that ZOË, the Eldrich god Z'gord who transitioned into a cute anime girl via ceremony. No doubt at some point, he's probably eaten plants and stars whole.

i feel like there's a pretty solid difference between zoe and oz though

zoe's a god in the sense that she's so much more beyond any other being in the room that any other title would be an understatement, more like Yog-Sothoth and Nyarlathotep than Zeus and Horus

oz is a god in the more traditional sense, he's the embodiment of fear the same way Neptune is the embodiment of the sea, or Quetzalcoatl is the embodiment of the wind

A warm orange glow slowly began to peak through warm purple curtains, spilling out of the window and creeping over shine on the closed eyes of a small sleeping figure curled up under a bundle of pink and yellow comforters.

The small figure let out a grumble and squinted, stirring awake before shoving the covers over her head and snuggling up once again, refusing to wake up.

It was a peacefully quiet morning until her alarm went off. A screeching otherworldly noise rang out from the phone on the nightstand. A pinkish-purple hand poked out from under the covers and snatched up the phone, quickly turning off the alarm before the blankets were thrown off and onto the end of the bed.

Zoe sat up in bed and stretched out her arms, letting out a yawn from each of her many mouths. Sleep still clung to the eldritch cutie as she trudged out of bed and towards her closet to get ready for the day.

Grabbing an already prepared outfit, Zoe could hear whispers from a certain group just outside her bedroom door. She mumbled something about outdated rituals before choosing to ignore the voices and went back to getting ready.

Once she had opened the door to her bedroom she came face to face with a group dressed in purple robes. "Ah! Our lord has awoken-"

"Save it" she snapped. "I need to get to school, can you guys maybe not do the whole "Lord Z'Gord" thing this morning and let me go about my day?" Zoe sighed.

The group fumbled about their response with a mix of fear and joy but quickly moved away from the doorway to let Zoe past.

This had been almost Zoe's entire school year. Wake up, be greeted by the cultists and head to school while they hang about awaiting orders to please her. Every now and then she'd get them to leave but she'd notice them hiding around the corner sometimes.

It made trying to experience life as a 'normal' high schooler a bit difficult and it seemed to get a bit worse when prom finally was just around the corner. They would fuss over her quite a bit and it was really frustrating but she was so used to it being a part of her day that it felt off if they really werent around.

But well...This was the life of an Eldritch cutie, not your typical high school student after all.

I always giggle about people trying to scare or threaten Valerie. She is the nigh impossible to kill shopkeeper trope but she alsy has several connectioms to back her up. Kidnap her instead? Hold her for ransom? Thats just an inpromptu break becauae there is one important factor a lot of people forget about, and thats just how tenacious Vera can be.

You do not make an example of an Oberlin, they make examples of you. Valerie is not only aware of how close she is to her sister, but the amount of willingness to do anything Vera will commit to. Valerie never worries becauae in this scenario; Vera always wins. She has an empire at her disposal and Hell, Heaven and the Purgatory inbetween forbid if she has to do it herself. Valerie has seen some shit. Vera is willing to do dark blood rituals for Prom Queen, just imagine what her sister is going to do if Val is in trouble.

Now say Vera isn't in the picture. Thats fine, Valerie has Aaravi, her best friend and best customer. Aaravi has protagonist plot armor bullshit powers and is the Slayer. Nothing else stands much of a chance when the one other person can go toe to toe with Z'Gord trying to end realities. Plus its very easy to bribe the woman I mean, Valerie has shit she dont need. Easy quest request. At least Aaravi might kill you quickly. Vera sure as fuck will not.

So what if those two somehow are either unavailable? Val cannot hold her own and needs help?

Theres Papa Oberlin.
