Canon-ish AU where by some weird misalignment of stars Sanji is the only one on the crew who doesn’t know the ship cat that he can’t always find is actually Zoro who sometimes shapeshifts into that form.

From Zoro’s perspective the cook is really weird because sometimes he’ll feed him some nice fish cuts and cuddle and pet him and let him nap on/near him, tell him about his day in a soft, pleasant voice- and then the next moment (he doesn’t have enough brain cells to réalise the difference in treatment is linked to what form he’s in) he’s being kicked and he’s « in the way » for napping in the galley and stealing food from the kitchen and called a « shitty marimo ».

Make up your fucking mind curly 😤( He must be some kind of tsundere or something, he thinks. Well, he’ll come around someday. Zoro is a patient man)

So Zoro is annoyed at Sanji for his hot and cold treatment and Sanji doesn’t understand why Zoro just doesn’t ever learn not to do certain things and sometimes acts weird and a bit affectionate, gets more tactile (and also wonders where the cute little kitty disappears to)

Meanwhile Nami, Robin and Usopp figured out that Sanji for some goddamn reason doesn’t know the cat is also Zoro and are biding their time and giggling whenever they see Sanji pet Zoro on his lap, giving each other knowing smiles.

More and more quid pro quos about Zoro and his cat form pile up- making it funnier and funnier that Sanji hasn’t made the connection, until one day Zoro turns into his human form in the middle of a nap on Sanji’s lap and Sanji suddenly has a lap full of swordsman with his head nestled in his neck.

Broke student Sanji who goes to Nami's birthday at a gay club and ends up being hit on by a couple of guys. He's straight but goes again because he has rent to pay and if others can pay for his drinks he doesn't care if they're doing it to try and get lucky. Not to mention that the compliments he gets give him an ego boost. No woman had ever told him "your eyes were as beautiful as a forget-me-not, so don't forget me" and then slid their number to him.

There was a downside - one man tried getting handy with him and Sanji had to kick him into the ground. It got his thrown out of the club for the night but then a green haired man rushed out. His face was red and he was out of breath. He has a scar and the build of a gorilla, he kind of looked like a Yakuza, if Sanji didn't know any better he'd say he was one. But there was something oddly soft about the way he was looking at Sanji that reassured him he wouldn't try anything.

When the man finally spoke it caught Sanji by surprise. "Kick me like that." His words were breathy and stirred something in Sanji's gut.

"What?!" It's all the blond said and took a step back ready to bolt.

But then the other man started explaining that he's a martial arts trainer and has a course in self-defense and that that kick was one of the most magnificent things he's seen. Sanji reluctantly agreed but when he got to the gym they decided on, started sparingly, all sweat and heavy breaths, it hit Sanji. Maybe he's not as straight as he thought... It also didn't help that he had Zoro in a headlock, choking him with his thighs as this revelation was sprung on him.

Everyone has seen those those Reddit posts where men force their girlfriends to open the relationship and then get mad when she’s the one who ends up enjoying herself and they don’t find anyone interested in them- that but with Zoro and Sanji 👀

Sanji is in a toxic relationship with Pudding and she gives him an ultimatum- either open the relationship (and let her keep cheating on him) or break up

Our poor boy is so desperate- he agrees.

Now. Right after she forces this on him they go to a house party at Luffy’s and the news spreads kind of fast. Nami goes to Zoro and rants about it to him (Sanji’s friends hate Pudding) and she says she hopes this will finally be what breaks those two up. Despite being in similar circles Zoro and Sanji haven’t interacted much, but he’s had a small crush on him- he’s exactly his type (fiery, strong fighter, nice ass and legs, kind, earnest)

Sanji, bless him, is surprised that quite a few people are flirting and interested in him at this party- with Pedro making a very obvious pass at him after lighting his cigarette in the most homoerotic way possible, and Ace telling him the news of his opened relationship are a dream come true for him and that he’s been waiting for an opportunity to get a taste (he does the call me sign haha)

Sanji’s flattered and flushed a bit from the embarrassment and the alcohol (he’s trying to drown the sorrow about Pudding and her sleeping with other people away). Eventually he starts letting it get to him and he confidently joins the dance floor and has fun with his friends.

(Pudding is seething from all the attention he’s getting, and for the fact that his friends have managed to cheer him up a bit, ie he’s not fretting over her and trying to get her attention.)

Zoro’s been watching all of this go down and is like- “honestly this is my opportunity to finally steal him”. He’s gonna show the shorty cook a fucking great time and what it’s like to be wanted, treated right.

He walks up to Sanji and to everyone’s shock he actually has a lot of game- their banter becomes more and more flirty and explicit, and Zoro gets more and more touchy- Sanji is a bit tipsy and mirrors this, Nami’s encouragements of getting back at Pudding and exploring this for real egging him on- why not indulge in this for once?
