What is movement meditation, ecstatic dance, trance dance, and somatic movement?
If you have been a dancer your whole life or you are new to dancing, it doesn't matter! Either way, dance is within you, and your body wants you to move! To close your eyes and let loose. To remind you that you are a sacred being, and you are free to express yourself as you please.
What are these practices, and how are we able to use them to better our lives and wellbeing.
In this course, we will not only learn how to dance in a somatic and ecstatic practice, we will connect with our guides, learn about our primal animal spirits, as well as our plant spirits that we are connected to. If you want to learn how to connect to these spirits and how it's related to ecstatic dance, then join me in person at @majixdragon starting on 5/11 at 4:30pm.

Every December - January the old woman of Winter is celebrated. For the past 3 years I have been teaching a class about these woman of myth and folklore. My fascination started with connecting to the ancestral spirits of my heritage La Befana and The Cailleach, and learning along the way the connection they have to the other fascinating woman of Winter and the land. I hope to see you there.
To check out my upcoming class and my other on demand and upcoming classes, go to Zinzeudo University at zinzeudo.com
The holiday season is a time for many things, family, food, and magic. The time between early
December until Mid January is full of spirit activity and stories of Witches, Ghosts, Goblins, and
Elves, some of these stories are terrifying in there own way and some are heartfelt and warm.
Most of these stories and traditions came from pagan beginnings, the legend of La Befana is no
different. The traditions of The Christmas Witch in Italy are old, full of pagan symbolism, and
goddess worship. Looking deep in these legends we open up a different side to the old woman
of Winter and relation to the Old Hag from many cultures. We will touch on the similarities La
Befana has with other Crone and Hag Goddesses as The Cailleach, Baba Yaga, Berchta, Hulda,
and Ragana. As well as similarities to Abundance Goddesses like Strenia, Abundia, and Feronia.
Join me as we travel with La Befana The Christmas Witch.
In this class we will learn
- Lore
- How to build a relationship
- Creating a shrine
- Offerings

Day 7, 8, & 9 of The Countdown to Working With The Ancestors 101
I missed two days of posting since it has been an exhausting couple of weeks but this week has been especially stressful. That being said, this post will be about 3 of my ancestors.
Angelo Joseph Maggio, my Great Great Grandfather, or as my family calls him Grandfather Maggio. It's funny because for some reason, one of his documents says he was from "Viaggiano Italy," but as far as I know, that is not a place! I have never heard of that place before? Now, there is a place in Basilicata called "Viggiano, Italy," which is a town in the province of "Potenza, Italy." I was intrigued by this mainly because I have been told my whole life that my Grandmother's parents were from Naples, Castellammare Di Stabia to be exact, so it is interesting to find out that part of my family is actually fom Basilicata.
Angelo & Augusta got married at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Philadelphia. He was a shoe maker, one of the finest. He was also a musician, he would take his organ grinder and play up and down the streets of Philadelphia and Washington d.c.
The pictures shown are not of him, but of other Italian organ grinder players, as well as a copy of his naturalization paper.
Since my previous post was about my Great Great Grandmother Augusta, the 2nd part of this post will be about Angelo "Grandfather Maggio" parents.
Nonno Maggio's parents were named Joseph Maggio & Rosie Maggio, I don't know her maiden name yet. Joseph was born July 4, 1846 in Sambuca di Sicilia, Agrigento, Italy. Rosie was born in 1843 and baptized the same year in Civile, Ceringnola, Foggia, Italy. At some point the two of them moved to Basilicata, but whether it was before or after they met, I'm not sure. They had multiple children together and when the children were grown they all came over to America.
I love that Nonno Maggio was a musician and all my life music and dance has been a huge part of who I am and now my daughter is shining through with music as well.

Day 10 & 11 of Countdown To Working With The Ancestors 101. If you are interested in learning to work with spirits of the dead and ancestors, then check out my new class on working with the ancestors 101.
Today's post is about my great grandparents, on my paternal fathers side.
My great grandparents were born in Ireland. My great grandfather's name was Patrick McNeeley. He was born in 1894, and both of his parents died before he was 20 yrs old. I don't know where he was from in Ireland, but I do know that he and my great grandmother were together before coming to America and got married in ohio.
My great grandmother's name was Ella Theresa Treacy. She was born in Clogh, Cappalusk District, Galway county, Ireland, in 1894. When I look back at some of the records, I am confused because they say she was the head of household, but it also says married, not widowed or divorced? There are so many mysteries looking into my family's past. I did find something interesting when going through records from my family in Ireland. Apparently, close to where some of my family is from, there was a famous pirate queen named Grace O'Malley. The more I learn about my ancestors and my past, the more I grow. This statement is not true for everyone. Not everyone feels this way. Some people have a disconnect to their family and ancestry, and that's OK.
As I post these small descriptions of my family, I feel the power growing between me and them and their assistance in helping me with my daily life.

Who are we if not the manifestations of our ancestors spells. Their thoughts of a new beginning and better life transform into the future magical beings that we are.
Our ancestors fought long and hard, they felt the pain and hardships that the past brought.
When you truly open yourself up to the guidance of the ancestors and you ask them to make sense of everything that is in front of you, they will.
It has taken me years to figure out my mother's side. I was always told she was cherokee and scotts-irish, and to an extent that is right but that is not including the Iberian/catalonian/basque, french, romani, plus small percentage of african that comes from her side. When I found this out I was so confused and floored especially because as far as I knew, my moms family was not any of those things! But as I did more research and really buried myself into this ancestral work I finally found my answer. This whole time I was looking at everything separately, how is it possible for all these groups of people to have mixed and mingled? I realized that I was looking at this all wrong. I began noticing things about certain groups of people from the area my mom is from. My mom is from Kentucky. Her family has lived all around the Appalachian mountains. Now, her family is in Western Kentucky, close to the Illinois Kentucky line. I happened to fall on a group of people called the Melungeons. Everything about them sounded extremely familiar. From their light eyes, thick dark hair, dark skin, european features, and high cheek bones as well as the familiar last names that I saw on the list of common melungeon surnames like Crow, Allen, Bell, Wise, Moore, Lowry, Greene, Cox, Clark, Collins, Powell, Hopkins, Bridges, Dye, etc.. These names are so important because these are the surnames for my moms family who lived in the areas inhabited by the Melungeons. I feel like my ancestors have been guiding me me to this information for awhile. Learning about our ancestors helps us to learn about ourselves. I will never stop learning of them and their ways. I am going to start a countdown to my new class on working with the Ancestors. Everyday until my new class Working with the Ancestors 101 on Saturday 10/28, I am going to be posting about one of my ancestors every day in their honor. To access my new class check out the link below.

This is Day 3 of the countdown to my new class Working with the Ancestors 101
Today's post is in honor of my Grandmother, my moms mother, Grandma Jo.
I wish I could say I knew her well or I knew a lot about her, but unfortunately, that's not the case. I barely knew her. She lived in KY, while my mom and I lived in MD. I did know that she was a very fun woman to be around. When she got to be at an older age, she lived as if we're a party. She would be out dancing and having fun with her girlfriends playing bingo and doing whatever it is that she wanted at the time.
Even though I didn't know much about her, I know she was a strong willed and independent woman. Because anyone who raised my mom had to be tough as anything! One thing I do know about my Grandma Jo is that her, along with my mom, aunt, my sister and me, we all have gifts of foresight and hyper intuition. I have always been told by all of them that this is something that runs in our family, mainly through the woman. Now I don't know where this line started and with who but I know that this is strong line of gifts passed down from mother to daughter for generations. I can feel it. It's interesting though because I have never really thought much about it, I don't mention often that my mother and grandmother had gifts or that my abilities came from them. No matter how powerful that connection is, I don't think that means if I didn't have this long line of connection then I'd would have any less amount of power. Power comes from many different places, but no matter what the connection to our ancestors can bring all kinds of power to us.
This post was meant to go up last night but I fell asleep before I could hit post haha)

The time of death and ancestral reverence is here. Even though the time of honoring your ancestors is all year round, the fall and winter seasons are the time of death, and as the earths foliage dies and transforms we can see the change more and more each day.
The changes to the earth at this time of year are just like like the changes to the human body as death prepares you for your long journey.
Death and the dead are topics I have always been fascinated with. As a medium and trance channeler, I have always had a close connection to the dead and my ancestors. When my Gigi passed away a few years ago, I felt even closer to the spirit world than ever.
The pictures above are of my Grandmother, it shows the stages of her life until the end. How the slow but inevitable decline changed her form, demeanor, and personality.
My grandmother was a strong loving and caring Neapolitan American Woman, and she is the one who taught me how to love.
Working with the Ancestors is a huge part of my practice and life. If you are new to working with ancestors or you would like to get and idea on how an Italian American Folk Witch honors and works with her ancestors then join me for my new class Saturday October 21 at 7pm.
