Night time Skin Care Routine 2020

Hey folks!

I cannot believe my last entry was three years ago. I can still remember my last makeup related entry - it was about my everyday makeup routine and now I’m back to share my current night time skin care routine.

The trend nowadays is all about having a “glass-skin face”. This trend is popularized by the Koreans or the K-beauty community. Most of their skin care include 10 steps. How insane right?! as much as I wanted to do that, it would of course include a lot of products as well. Over the past few years, I have finally found the best combination of skin care items that suits my skin type. Just a disclaimer, I have very oily skin especially on my T-zone area. So, here’s my 5-step skin care night time routine.

Most of my products are locally available. You can either get these at Watsons, SM Department stores, Healthy Options, Skincare Curator or BeautyMNL.

So my routine is simple - cleanse, tone, serum, moisturize.

1. Cleanse

For this, I use either a facial wash or a kojic soap. I use the AHA BHA Miracle Solutions Cleanser by Luxe Organix or Kojie-San soap and both are available in Watsons.

I find this product very helpful for my oily skin. here’s how it looks like when swatched:

another kind of facial wash I use on my face is Kojie-San. it’s actually meant to whiten the skin. But be very careful though - it stings a bit and can make your skin dry so it’s better not to leave it very long on your skin.

2. Tone

I have tried so many toners as well but for me so far this is the best out there. First- it’s organic, second - it does not dry my skin out, third - locally available.

for toner, I use the Dickinson’s Enhanced Witch Hazel Hydrating Toner with Rosewater. I usually use this at night or when I need an extra moisture before I do my makeup. This one is available in Healthy Options. I put some product on a cotton pad and apply it on my face.

3. Serum

Okay this has been a game changer for me - discovering serums! I feel like this is the main course on my skin care routine. I’ve read so many articles online saying that the best cure for uneven skin tone, acne scars and dullness is vitamin C. So, I got curious and tried this brand called Dear Klairs from South Korea. I can say that this is now my holy grail skin care product. YES!

I use the Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop.

What’s great about this is it’s great for sensitive skin as well.

and yes, the claims are true - it has diminished my acne scars, made my skin bright and made my pores look smaller! I am so in love with this product. I cannot live without it! You can buy this at BeautyMNL, SkinCurator and Watsons. I put 1-2 drops on my face and spread it all over.

4. Moisturize

So this is the last step on my routine - since I’m so in love with the serum I got from Klairs, I decided to try their moisturizer. and yes, it’s a great combo. it can definitely give me that glass skin look when I wake up. I use the Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask. It has Vitamin E, Niacinamide (which I love), and Adenosine. The consistency is jelly-like so it’s not super heavy on the face.

Here’s a swatch. You get a spatula for every purchase which I find nice because it can also minimize contamination. This is also available in Watsons, BeautyMNL or Skin Care Curator.

and then lastly, of course I needed to moisturize the lips too. I use this one from Healthy Options and the brand is called Scentuals in caramel cream. it’s 100% natural and it really does smell like caramel.

Sister Act Musical // Theatre at the Solaire

I usually join online giveaways and yes I am guilty at that, especially if I really really want to win the prize.

RX 93.1 held a giveaway on their social media accounts and gave away tickets to the Sister Act Musical at the Theatre at the Solaire. When RX 93.1 announced I won, I immediately asked my sister to join me. I was THAT excited.

The play exceeded my expectations- the actors were so good and I highly recommend it. Remember, You are not allowed to take pictures while watching the play. shout out to RX 93.1 for the free tickets!

Eaglepoint Resort, Anilao Batangas Day Trip

This year, my relatives decided to spend our summer outing in Eaglepoint Dive Resort in Anilao Batangas.

Eaglepoint Resort is famous for divers.

we stayed here only for a day and rented non airconditioned cabanas.

no wonder it’s called Eaglepoint, they literally have eagles!

here is where we ate our snacks and lunch. food was good too.

They have 2 pools, one with a slide and 1 without. also, If you want to snorkle, they have a separate place for that where you can find sharks and fishes. make sure you bring your own gear. but don’t worry, you can rent one from them.

Swimwear is from Coco Cabana, white top is from Pacsun, and Camera I’m using is my Sony a5000.

overall, if you want to try something different like snorkeling, eagplepoint is the place to go. but keep in mind that it is not PWD friendly, make sure that if you plan to stay overnight, get the airconditioned cabana and boat rental depend on the condition of the sea. Thanks for reading!

One fine afternoon at F1 Hotel BGC

I was browsing dealgrocer.com and saw that they have a promo for 688 pesos, you will get a pool pass for 2 and 1000 pesos worth of food and beverage at F1 Hotel BGC. I immediately bought one voucher simply because I haven’t been to F1 Hotel BGC. Here’s my experience:

I decided to go there last May 20 with a friend. Once we’re there, we surrendered our voucher to the counter. What I love about their pool area is that they have a bar beside it and there are several cabanas too.

Your home girl likes taking pictures and ootds but one of the waiters told us that taking pictures are prohibited. I can’t believe they wouldn’t allow us. But I told him it did not mention in the voucher and we will only take a few shots.

Food worth 1000 pesos: not bad!

Overall, if you want to relax and take a dip, I highly recommend it. Hope you find this blog helpful. Ciao!

Vlog | Pattaya - Bangkok, Thailand

Hello guys!

After staying at Siem Reap, we headed to Pattaya. good thing our hotel in Bou Savy offers bus tickets going to Pattaya Thailand. we purchased our tickets for only less than $15 dollars but it took us around 15 hours.

Here's our itinerary in so far: -Check in at DVaree Hotel in Pattaya then go to Bangkok. (4 days) -Check in at Nest Boutique Hotel (Bangkok) then, buy stuff at Platinum Mall then go and see the ancient city Tour. -Fly to Ho Chih Minh, Vietnam and check in at Hotel Mi Linh -go to Ben Thanh Market -Go back to Manila

My everyday makeup

Hi Folks,

I’ve always wanted to post this - my everyday makeup kit. these are the products I use everyday at work and as you can see, most of these products may be bought from the drugstore.

Well, my everyday makeup look should be inexpensive at the same time easy to use. my everyday makeup routine usually takes around 5-10 minutes that’s why I only have 8 products in my kit.

Products:

1. Nyx Cosmetics Mineral Stick Foundation - I have the shade in Caramel and I use this not for the entire face but for the under eyes. I love using this product everyday because it does not crease on me. perfect to cover the my under eye circles.

2. Mary Kay Concealer - I admit, this is something you can’t find in the drugstores but this is by far hands down the best concealer I have tried. it’s kinda pricey but it’s perfect for people with oily skin like me because it stays all day. currently using the shade Beige 2.

3. 4u2 face powder - another product I can’t live without! seriously, I tried all the drugstore powders out there but this is the only product I can’t replace. I have oily skin and this product is the only drugstore product that does not melt on me. you guys should try it for yourself and I’m using the shade no. 3.

4. Pond’s Flawless BB+ cream - even though I mentioned I don’t use a full face foundation for everyday, I still use something to protect my face from harmful UV rays so that’s why I use BB cream. this BB cream by Pond’s acts like a tinted moisturizer and It does not feel really heavy when you put it on. I’m using the shade Beige.

5. Lip Ice lip balm - the first time I saw this, I was kinda hesitant to try it but I told myself I must give it a try since it claims to leave a hint of tint on your lips and it does! I like putting this on my lips and it leaves a pinkish tint on my lips which is perfect for everyday plus it hydrates my lips too.

6. Etude House Drawing eyebrow pencil - love this one because it gives the most natural look for the brows which is perfect for everyday. plus it has a spoolie at the end too.

7. Maybelline Magnum Volume Mascara - I don’t go out of the house without mascara and so far I love this one from Maybelline. it’s waterproof, super black and makes up eyes look less tired because it adds volume to my lashes.

8. Eyelash Curler - well, this is self explanatory. you may use any brand you like but I bought this one at Watsons.

Swatch: Gerard Cosmetics 1995 lipstick

hey folks, just a quick one.just bought Jaclyn Hill’s lipstick in collaboration with Gerard Cosmetics. reason why I bought this is because first of, I don’t have a lipstick in my collection similar to this color and told myself I should get one. second, I took advantage of the free shipping plus 35% off coupon code. took me 4 weeks to get it via mail.

So, this lipstick is all over youtube and I asked myself - is it worth the hype?

The first time I got it, I was really shocked because it was really brown and I thought to myself - that’s too brown and I’m kinda scared to use it! but when swatched, it wasn’t really too brown after all! it has a pink undertone to it.

first off, let us talk about the packaging! seriously loving the gold packaging! I’m in love. the casing looks like a MAC lipstick but lighter.

I’d like to say the staying power is around 3-4 hours without retouching. and best part is, it’s not drying at all! even though the finish is from satin to matte. and yes, I LOVE IT! worth the hype? definitely. I just want to say Kudos to Jaclyn for making this one because she definitely captured the “1995″ look. perfect to any skin tone!
