Another of my confessions 😂 I seriously can't stop thinking about this headcanon

CONFESSION:

In my game, during the attack on Haven, what I can only assume is a glitch, Cullen ends up with really thin eyebrows. I laughed so hard when I first saw it! I now have a headcanon that he plucked his eyebrows in hopes to impress the F!Inquisitor and instantly regretted it, hoping she wouldn’t notice.

This is my confession 🙌 I haven't researched much into the lore of eye colour or whatnot to see if it's there's an actual thing with eyes but what I love about these games is we can create our own stories and lore. Even if it's just for myself I love this headcanon :D Curiously enough my Lavellan never got purple eyes. For some reason I always liked to keep hers green. I wonder why! Funny how something you completely make up can work for one character but not for another. Thank you to the hard working mods for posting my headcanon!

CONFESSION:

I have a headcanon that powerful mages develop purple eyes once they reach a certain strength. I always make my Hawke Mage with purple eyes straight away but my Inquisitor Mage starts with a natural eye colour and then after the attack on Haven I go to the Black Emporium and change her eye colour. Circle Mages don’t usually get purple eyes so it’s a shock for my Trevelyan Inquisitor when she wakes up one day to see them. If a Mage goes beyond that strength their eyes become yellow/golden like Morrigan’s and Flemeth’s which basically marks them unstoppable.

I just realized that in the post-apocalyptic timeline created by Alexius, Alistair (and/or Anora) must still have arrived at Redcliffe a few minutes after the Inquisitor’s death and seeing as Alexius is still alive in the future he and the Venatori must have killed them. Maybe that’s why Corypheus could conquer Ferelden that easily.

Ugh, Cullen <3 why can’t you be real. This scene in Trespasser, Maker’s Breath. If they hadn’t added something like this in it wouldn’t have been so immersive. It’s little moments like this that make the whole game a lot more real.

So I’m replaying Dragon Age: Inquisition - Trespasser for the second time (first time was only two months ago) and I remember running around the Winter Palace seeing the puff of smoke and lightning disappearing. 

As Lavellan I thought it was Solas spying on her and disappearing before she saw him. After finishing the game I then wondered if it was one of his many spies. So now replaying and it happened more than once (I clearly didn’t run around enough the first time round - probably desperate to get to Solas) and I discovered it was a Harlequin. So naturally googled it to find a whole new ‘secret’ quest! I love this game. It’s so full of surprises. 

Still a bit disappointed it wasn’t Solas spying on his love though. (Or at least his friend Inquisitor Trevelyan-Rutherford (Oh yes...there’s been a wedding)).

Trust No Elf

**Spoilers from Trespasser DLC**

Ever since finishing Dragon Age: Inquisition Trespasser last month I’ve realised I’m never going to trust another elf companion again. Solas has spies everywhere...and we don’t know just how many. Thinking back on the Elven companions we’ve already had the only ones I can imagine being Agents of Fenharel are Velanna and Merrill. Zevran never appeared interested in Elven history and being raised as a Crow I don’t think he’d accept what Solas wants to do. Fenris, with his hate of mages/magic, would probably not even give Solas the time of day - especially if he learnt that he wants to tear the veil down completely. I think Fenris would have major problems with that. Sera obviously hates all magicy things too. And isn’t too fond of Solas and “elfy elves”. I don’t think I need to defend Sera too much - all I will say is if she somehow was an agent she is one hell of an actor. I still like the theory she’s Andruil’s Vessel though. 

Merrill was so focused on restoring Elven History and the Eluvian that if she was approached by someone who could give her the answers and show her the truth behind Eluvian’s I don’t think she’d be able to resist. After all she gladly would give into temptations from Demons/Spirits that I think giving into Fenharel wouldn’t seem at all scary to her once she learnt the truth about what he did for the elves. 

To be honest, I don’t really know much about Velanna and Ariane except this line on Velanna’s wikia page “Velanna was a quiet child who struggled to understand social interaction, and spent her time obsessively studying Elven history”  and Ariane left her clan in search of an important Dalish artifact - desperate to get that knowledge back. I think they would appreciate Solas’ knowledge. 

Not to say that I don’t feel for what Solas wants to do - My Solamanced Lavellan begged him to let her help him. She didn’t necessarily agree with the whole “let’s destroy the current world” but she wanted to help him find another way to restore what was lost. My Trevelyan, however, will stop him at all costs. It’ll be super interesting to see how this all plays out and will be interesting to see if Elven characters/companions we know turn out to be an Agent - our opinions on some beloved characters may completely change! (Though I hope not!). Still I’m going to be very sceptical of all Elven characters/companions from now on, I can feel it. Especially if they’re a love interest! 

I will never escape Solavellan Hell. And it’s completely changed my viewpoint for the future of DA games and previous Elven characters. I know Solas only awoke shortly before Inquisition started so I doubt Agents of Fenharel really existed in Origins and DA2 but could they be Agents now? We’ll have to see!
