You're right. The only known photos of Elvis with a lookalike were these ones taken at the front gates of his house on 1174 Hillcrest Drive in July 1972, not long before going to Vegas for his summer season.

Elvis was in Columbia, South Carolina, on February 18. The Johnson City show was the next day. He looked better as that first tour of the year went along. During the last show on the tour (Charlotte, NC, on the 21st), he invited Terry Alden (Ginger's sister and Miss Tennessee 1976) onstage with him.

Elvis performed on tour at the Civic Center Freedom Hall, Johnson City, Tennessee.

Because Ginger missed her family Elvis flew them in for the final days of the tour.
