An Unlikely Truce Against Common Enemy || Drabble
Hi everyone! This is Deamon-mun writing a funny drabble for @the-silver-peahen-residence regarding the asks. So here is the cast.
----- Cast -------
The JJK cast ( Yuuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Noabra Kugasaki and Maki Zen'in. All are rped by Peahen mun )
Mineta from BHA and a OC named Bradely ( also rped by Peahen-mun)
Oda's Demons ( Hayato Itachi, Iku Gash, Moudo Namzu, Shukaku Shōtsū, Syuuta Masamune ) rped by me.
Taz Hellion and Kisho/Daichi rped by me.
----- Summary -----
Someone went to the campus of Jujutsu Tokyo High one night. Yuuji and the gang find out who was responsible as they found evidence and so they went to Nagoya. Where the famed Oda's Demons faction lives. How will this play out?
----
In Nagoya City, where the Oda clan ruled. Three middle-school delinquents are hanging out near the vending machine, vaping and talking about current events.
"Hey! Did you heard?" One delinquent said with messy bangs.
"What?" A second asked with a pompadour haircut.
"I heard some Oda demons went to Tokyo and got into a fight with some school, guys" He informs his two buddies.
"Huh?! How is that news, Jin?" Said the third who has bleached blue hair.
"Yeah! I bet the fraction already beat them up!"
"Yeah, but that's the thing...I heard one of the students there beat up Hayato the Wind Blade!" Said the man with the messy bangs named Jin talking to Seiya with the pompadour and Teru who has blue hair.
"Shit, for real? Whose is it?" Seiya asked.
"I don't know but there are rumors that it must be the Tiger of West High."
"Hah? Isn't the Tiger of West High from Sendai? The hell he's doing in Tokyo?" Teru asked.
"Maybe he must of move to Tokyo due to school or some shit." Said Seiya.
"I don't know, man. But I'm telling ya, it's a rumor. Don't know if it's real or not but I saw Hayato came back with a cast. So it's gotta be." Said Jin.
"You should keep quiet man, you can't let one of the Oda guys hear you, or else we get beat up. Besides! We're going to join them, remember?! We can't go in if we talk shit about their upper ranks!" Said Seiya.
"Yeah, yeah. Sorry!" Jin sighed.
"Hey, you three!" The three became startled as a voice calls them out. Shit! The three prepared themselves that it must be the Oda faction. But they were surprised to see something unexpected. A different group approached. A huge group. Three boys and three girls. What the? Jin narrows his eyes at this. Their uniforms. They seemed familiar but he couldn't pinpoint which.
"Yeah? Whaddya want?" Seiya said, looking at them with a scowl, didn't like to be spooked. But for some reason, Jin senses there's something is going on. The three boys and two girls look a bit pissed while one girl looks worried.
"Where can we find the Oda clan around her?" Said a brunette with her hands on her hips, frowning.
The three delinquents blinked at the group and looked confused. The tall dark one whose hair is spiky like a sea unchrin, crossed his arms, "Well? Do you?" He asked.
Then Teru goes, "You wanna know WHERE the Oda fraction is? You gotta be out of your damn mind!"
"Yeah! What business ya got with them?!" Seiya said. Is this another rival faction or what?!
"Something we need to talk about." Said black sea unchrin. The three look at the group like they're crazy. Because they know what a 'talk' means and it is anything but. Jin goes, "Man, if you wanna know. The Oda faction is in charge of pachikos, arcades, and some shitty loan sharks! You guys will be screwed-"
"It's fine." This time, Jin gulped and so did his friends. They see a guy with pink hair with an undercut. He has scars...under his eyes. That guy looks serious and had that look where you don't want to fuck with him. "So...where. are. they?" The pink-haired guy questioned.
"Er..well...they must be in one of the izakaya next to King Maō Parlor. That's their usual spot. Izakaya Bandai. You won't miss them." Said Jin with his two friends nodding in agreement. Then the pink-haired guy smiles, "Thank you." And so the group leaves with the foreigner girl saying a quiet thank you to them with a bow. The three delinquents look at each other, "Do you think?"
"Nah. Couldn't be it...." Then the three delinquents decided to go to iazkaya where the members of the Oda fraction hangs out.
----- Izakaya Bandai ----
Hayato and his teammates, Moudo, Iku, Shukaku, and Syuuta were hanging out. Hayato is eating his meal which is goyza. His favorite food along with some tomato juice and miso soup.
Iku is sulking. After his display at the Jujutsu High, he was punished and suspended from his usual activities for the time being He is drinking his coffee can. Shukaku is talking with Moudo and Syuuta about the meeting and Rioto.
"So..hold on. Rioto goes to a school for sorcerers. Jujutsu Sorcerers? The ones that beat Hayato?"
"Only one!" Hayato interjects. He will acknowledge Yuuji Itadori won fair and square so he needs to recover and train so it won't happen again. The other two don't count as much as he hates to admit.
Shukaku nods, "Yes. Only one and two gave Hayato some trouble." To which Hayato groans but keeps on eating, "Plus Iku..."
Iku clicks his tongue.
"Got defeated by a man named Sukuna, a demon inside Itadori Yuuji. He's seriously stronger than a normal demon! It got my tail between my legs." Shukaku smiles wryly. "But...Rioto went to the one in Kyoto and he told me that there are interesting humans there as well. One that manipulates blood, one that controls human-sized puppets. He called them cursed corpses, non-living objects." The boy continues, "Then there's one that can fly on a broomstick, and oh! There is one who claps his hands to switch objects and people's positions! He said it's disorienting. Almost like my ability!" Shukaku chuckles.
"What about the ones from Tokyo?" Syuuta said. Shukaku begins, "I saw three of them first hand and Rioto's intel proves to be correct. There is one named Fushguro which Rioto nicknames...Dark Lord who summons creatures from the darkness. Or rather....from my observation, he uses shadows as a medium to summon otherworldly creatures. So he isn't too far off." Shukaku chuckles.
"Guess Dark Lord fits, huh?" Syuuta laughed. Moudo speaks up, "And there's a girl who uses nails and hammers! She's really scary."
"Doesn't sound that scary! Nails and hammer?!" Syuuta hums. Shukaku chuckles, "Actually...she is. For some reason, her nails are imbued with cursed energy. Plus, I saw her carrying a straw doll. I was tailing the folks for a while...like a few hours and got a gist of their abilities. But the interesting one is Itadori, he is a fighter much like Hayato yet a human housing a cursed spirit like Sukuna. I wouldn't be surprised if this Sukuna is a demon. It makes me wonder why Sukuna hasn't Yuji signed a contract with him"
"Where is Rioto getting all this information from?"
"Most likely his idol, Daichi who doesn't mind telling him about it."
"You mean that cringed hero guy that Rioto watches every day?"
"That cringed hero guy bested Rioto in a duel. Rioto tells me that Daichi is as strong as his friends." Shukaku reminds him. "How long he's going to be there?" Moudo asked. Moudo likes Rioto. He's nice and helps him out with his mud-earth abilities. In a way, he looks up to Rioto as a fellow brother.
"Until he graduates..." Shukaku said. "But...it's not bad. He visits from time to time after he is followed for a moment. I made sure to erase any suspicion. Oh! I meet his friend, Kamo Noritoshi! He's pretty nice!" He said.
"Where's Rioto, anyway?" Hayato asked.
"With Oda as we speak." Shukaku smiles. The members of Oda were drinking and talking until they hear comottion from outside. Hayato stops eating and hears comottion. That smell.
Doors opened with two Oda followers thrown down onto the floor. Then several people came in. Hayato blinks while Iku is in disbelief before glaring, "Oh what the hell?"
"Eh?" Shukaku blinked and so did Moudo and Syuuta. Shukaku knows those faces. Speak of the devil...
"Where's Oda?!" Yuuji Itadori yelled.
"What the hell?" Hayato said, standing up. "What are you doing here?"
"Don't give us that! You came to our school, you creep!" Nobara shouted.
"Creep?!" Hayato growls, standing up now. "What the hell are you talking about?! We didn't do anything since the match!"
"You came to the girls' room and took their stuff!" Daichi yelled. Shukaku widen his eyes at this. But it isn't because his bangs are covering his eyes. "Wait what?' Moudo is shocked by this. Syuuta laughs, "Wow! Who are these punks?" He stands up. "Do you have any idea who we are?!"
"Um...Syuuta!" Moudo warns him. Syuuta laughs, not hearing Moudo as he walks over to the group. "You guys come here and accuse us of shit without proof. Who do you think are! Even if we, it's not girls like you! You ain't that pretty!"
"Um...Syuuta!" Shukaki goes to interject as Syuuta starts to manipulate water from his glass and starts to form at the top of his palm. Syuuta is wearing his beak mask and it opens, revealing sharp teeth. "Now how about you-"
BAM!
Several feet flying and Syuuta hits the wall. Syuuta with widen eyes made contact with the wall after Yuuji threw a punch to shut him up. Syuuta crashes onto the ground. "W-what?!" Syuuta asked stunned.
"Yeah.....sorry! Those are the guys we're talking about." Shukaku informs him.
"That's him?!" Syuuta yelled. Hayato grits his teeth, "I don't know where you get the idea like that but we didn't steal anything! Hell! I don't even come near your school!" Hayato said.
"Then explain this." Megumi shows Hayato a purple armband with the bright gold-yellow Oda crest on that. Shukaku raised a brow at this.
"I don't know anything about someone stealing and your girls' stuff!" Hayato said. "What kind of stuff did we steal anyway?!"
'You stole our panties and bras!" Noabra yelled. This silences the Oda faction as they look at them in disbelief.
"P-panties?' Moudo choked as Hayato's face turned red, "We didn't stole something like that! What the hell?!"
Iku scoffs, "Look at these stupid morons." Iku begins, getting most of Jujutsu High students to glare at Iku while Taz is worried. "Why in the hell do we have to go so much trouble to steal your underwear? That's the dumbest shit I ever heard. Do you hear yourself?"
"Then how do you explain the armband-"
"Maybe because you wanna find a fucking excuse to mess with us! Shit, we already apologize and now you come here with this?! Do you think we're the kind of people who do something like this?! If we're stealing something, it wouldn't be shit. It would be weapons and other important stuff."
"That's a good point." Megumi said coldly. "So you stole weapons?"
"Ha?! If we did, we will admit! But we didn't steal shit!" Iku points out, "if anything, it must be from your school and someone doesn't have the balls to fess up!"
"You bastard..." Yuuji is getting sick of tired of Iku's attitude. Iku stand his ground. He remember last time when he got hit. Not by this punk but that fucker named Sukuna. Of course, he is not in the mood to bring him out. But he did see one red eye under Yuji's eye as if daring him to say something to him.
"Okay then. Let me tell you this! First off, Moudo is too chickenshit to try that shit." Iku begins, so the other party can see some sense at least.
"HUH?!" Moudo blinked.
"Shukaku over here doesn't do that shit because he's not into that." Said Iku.
Shukaku nods, "Yep, yep! I wouldn't do that. I have standards!"
"Hayato is a skirt-chasing girl-obsessed dumbass."
"HEY!" Hayato yelled. But Iku continues, "But he won't cross a line of breaking into some girl's house and stealing someone's underwear. Hayato considered that some fucked-up shit!" The Oda members were surprised that Iku stood up for him. Yuuji widen his eyes slightly at him. The last time they met, Iku didn't want to apologize and blames Hayato entirely even if he had some part in it.
"AND! Syuuta over here just met you for the first time!" Iku jabs a finger at Yuuji's chest while jerking a thumb at a Syuuta who is being helped up by his squadron.
"As for me! That kinda thing is so fucking low, I don't do shit like that." Iku said. Shukaku adds, "And besides...wouldn't your school know who enters your school regarding that field spell?" He points out this with a question.
By field spell, they must mean the barrier that detects anyone passing through that has cursed energy. Demons carried cursed energy however...their other members either have low or no cursed energy.
Taz did tell her friend that the smell didn't come from any of the key members since the smell was new ever since the armband is discovered. So her friends suspect, it must be a non-demon member that Taz hasn't smelled before. But there is someone that can do this.
It couldn't be...right? She did say that Mineta was involved but when he did join the Oda clan? Maybe Mineta was hired to get panties. They need to get to the bottom of this.
"Hayato-sama!" A member of Hayato's squad barges in, "We got a problem!"
Oh now what...
"What is it?" Hayato asked.
"Someone is messing with our girls! Some guy tried hitting on one of them and kidnapped one! It's Tsuru! She got kidnapped!"
Kidnapped?! The jujutsu sorcerers thought.
"WHAT?!" Hayato shouted this time in anger, getting up from his seat. First the sorcerers, now this?! Today is not his day. Hayato goes to leave not before looking at Yuji and the others, "I will deal with this later but right now, I gotta save one of my own first! Also, I will track that fucker who went into your girls' rooms with my smell, deal?!"
Yuuji blinked but nods. "Okay....deal." He said,. Yuuji is a patient person and hearing that Hayato got mad that someone of their own got kidnapped, he can't get in between that. It's much bigger than stolen underwear. The two groups walked out and hoping Hayato keeps the end of his deal.
"You know...this reminds me of something..like a week ago" Shukaku begins to which Megumi looks over to him with a look. "What's that?" He asked before Shukaku went to explain the way there.
------ Somewhere -----
Inside a restaurant where they sell fried chicken. Two boys treat themselves on a job well-done One of them is Mineta, the infamous pervert known for stealing the panties of the opposite sex. He and Bradley are with two other boys who are of a similar mindset.
"I told you the plan worked didn't it?" He said. Mineta laughs as his new friend, Bradley is laughing. Both clink their glasses together while Bradley has his arm wrapped around a fair-skinned beautiful girl in a school uniform with brown short hair wearing a feather hairclip who is uncomfortable being here.
"Yeah...I couldn't believe it. I didn't think that planting an armband you took off from a gang like that would work. We haven't been caught yet!" Mineta said as he had the goods in his bag. The goods he nabbed from the Jujutsu High girls.
"Yeah! I told you it's a smart move! Nobody will know it's us. Once they find it, they're going to go down and fight them!" Said Bradley with a grin. "Instead of us!"
"Anyway! How do you know those Oda guys?"
"Everyone in Nagoya knows about them! I came here in search of beauties and they stopped me! A guy named Hayato always taking the girls and the girls around here loved him! It pisses me off"
"Hayato?"
"Yeah! One time, I was messing around in a host club and that damn bastard stepped in and throw my ass out of there!" Bradley said. "I saw him again when I was asking some high school girls to hang out with me. Got my ass kicked again! So I got mad and came across one of their group, beating them up. Some of their members are so weak. Nobody knows who though but me!" Bradley laughed.
"Wow! You're a genius!" Mineta said with two boys nodding their heads in agreement.
"Yeah! I got my revenge and you got your goods! Hayato is going to be pissed when accused of stealing panties! That is going ruin that bastard's reputation with the ladies, alright. Hayato wouldn't let that shit down and beat the shit out of those Jujutsu High guys. Ain't I great, sexy?" He asked. The girl narrows her eyes, "You're disgusting."
"Hey! If you get to know me then you would be all over me. I don't get why you see in that guy, Hayato!" Bradley goes on. Tsuru glares at them but then her eyes light up, starting to smile, and to which Mineta and two other pervert pales.
"Uh......"
"I mean! I'm the toughest and the smartest. Those Jujutsu guys have no idea what we did! Mineta said that they're the scariest but to me, they're so dumb that their so-called magic didn't realize that we entered their school last night. I mean...what do they do? Curse people? It's so lame. Yeah, the girls were so cute, I can't help but take pictures of them." Bradley laughs.
"Hey...Bradley..."
"And you managed to snag the goods! I mean...we both got we what wanted. I bet those Jujutsu students had no idea that they were tricked into believing it. Not only that, I took into the fact that those two groups fought each other once over some girls! So yeah! I did it!" He laughs.
"Bradley!" Mineta starts to tremble in fear as two angry people stand behind a sitting Bradley too invested in bragging about his so-called executed plan.
"Saying what?"
"What?! It's true! Hey! You know! We should see the fight and see who owns it. After that, maybe I should snag that raven-haired cutie from that school, or maybe that brunette with the short hair or oh! That cutie with orange markings on her cheek! Or that blondie. She looks super cute! I wanna grope her a-"
"BRADLEY! STOP!" Mineta screamed with tears in his eyes. Bradley blinks, "What! I'm just saying-"
Bradely's words were caught in his throat as he slowly turned over to his shoulder, seeing two pissed-off guys. Hayato and a guy wearing a Jujutsu High uniform as he has pink-haired hair with an undercut fashion. Hold on...he sees this guy somewhere.
"W-wait...you're that guy from New York." Bradely stammered. Yuji glares at him. "Yeah. I never thought you were the one behind it. But I can't be surprised."
"Oh well...."
"You fucking little shit, you got some guts framing us." Hayato growls.
"And break into our school and try to trick us with that plan of yours by having us fight against the Oda guys!" Yuji scowls. And they're not the only ones. There were people from the Jujutsu High and Oda faction pissed off. Looks like they heard it all straight from Bradley's mouth.
"Oh yeah! That's the guy that my squad talked about. He snatches one of our armbands from us." Shukaku said in a cheerful voice. Megumi cracks his knuckles, "You don't say?" He said, glaring at the creeps right now.
"Heh." Bradley grins nervously while Tsuru snakes out of Bradely's hold. "Hayato! You're here! This creep groped us and took me to this place!" Said Tsuru holding his arm and pointed at Bradely angrily.
"Did he now? Don't worry, I got this." Hayato said, patting Tsuru on the head, assuring her that everything was going to be fine while baring his teeth at Bradley.
Sweating bullets, Bradley laughs now, "Oh come on! I was joking! I didn't mean all that. It was a prank bro! I-" A resounding smack is heard as Yuji smacked the shit out of Bradley. Out of his chair and onto the floor. Mineta screams, telling his friends to run.
"MINETA! GET BACK HERE!" Yuji shouted, seeing him run or rather crawl under the tables of people sitting there, causing panic to escape to the outside.
"No way! I won't get caught again! Not again!' Mineta thought because he didn't want to bear the full brunt of Itadori's fury. Bradley can deal with that!
But he and his accomplices didn't get very far. His escape route is cut off when a giant skeletal hand blocks his path in the alleyway. Mineta and his friends cried out in terror seeing a huge skull with glowing red eyes looking down on them. Iku is standing in their way, glaring at them with a sneer. "Think you can outrun us in our turf?" Iku said.
Megumi grabs one creep and knocks him out with a punch. Another creep that is like a lizard tries to scale the walls but Nobara hits that one with her nails using her hammer, impaling the lizard creep's sleeves to the wall Iku helps out by taking the lizard off the wall and drops him between the two angry sorceresses.
"This is what you get for taking pictures!" Nobara yelled, hitting the creep with her toy hammer. Meanwhile, Daichi keeps firing at Mineta which the little pervert hero student keeps dodging. "HOLD STILL! YOU LITTLE-!" He yelled as Eito squawked angrily. Moudo helps out by trapping Mineta in mud. Mineta gasps, "NO!" He yells before he got blasted by a fireball.
Meanwhile, Bradley tries to fight Yuji and Hayato off.
"You bastards! I ain't afraid of you! You never stop me from getting sexy women! I am HIM!!" Bradley activates his quirk by turning his arms into metal and preparing to duke it out against the two.
But he was no match for the unlikely tag team beatdown that Yuji and Hayato delivered. It was straight-up jumping to which Tsuru and Taz saw justice being served. Tsuru is cheering for Hayato while Taz hopes her big brother will be alright and win this fight.
"You piece of shit! Who do you think you are?!" Hayato hits Bradley with a whirlwind punch, making the pervert spin in the air.
"Take this, you asshole! How dare you do that to my little sister and my friends!" Yuji punches him in the gut making Bradley bounced across the ground roughly.
Both boys were cursing Bradley out while beating the shit out of him in the process. Soon, the one-sided fight is over and Mineta, Bradley, and their accomplices are rounded up and tied up with rope in the middle of the street. Beaten and scared.
----
"Ugh! I can't believe I have to buy another set of panties!" Nobara groans, glaring at Mineta and Bradley. Taz is upset while Maki comforts her. Tsuru goes to the girls, "I can help you guys buy new ones! I can show you some stores that sell them affordable and of good quality." She tells them.
"Please do." Said Maki. With that, the girls left with Tsuru leading the way. Now it's the boys taking care of this mess.
"What should we do with them, Itadori?" Megumi asked. Daichi is frowning, "We should curse them! Gojo-sensei gave us permission to beat them up."
"Hmmmm...." Yuji thinks. Already, he can hear Sukuna suggesting punishments for him to enact. Very visual and a bit gory for his taste.
"Now..boys...can we..." Bradley starts to negotiate but nobody wants to hear it.
"SHUT UP!" Three boys shouted at Bradley angrily. Mineta is shaking and is ready to cry.
"If I may...." Shukaku said. "How about you lend these troublemakers to us?" He suggested to the three sorcerers. Hayato nods, "Yeah! We can put these little shits to work!" He tells Yuji and his friends.
"After all...these guys think they're so smart that they thought their plan can work. Trying to mess with us both." Iku added. Syuuta nods. Now thinking about it, Yuji makes his decision. He looks to Hayato, "If you want them, take them. These guys brought trouble to your town and took your friend so I'm not against that, to be honest."
"Good." Hayato nods. "Anyway...nice...uh...bitchslap you give this creep! That was good."
"Thanks!" Yuji grins, "Also that whirlwind knock the air out of him! And oh! Sorry about barging in and accusing you of something you didn't do." He apologies.
"Eh. It's fine. I would be pissed too if something happened to my friends who are girls." Hayato said. After that match, Hayato did a lot of reflection. "Like Tsuru for example." Tsuru wouldn't like it if she knew what he did back at Tokyo. Ugh. Seeing Bradley reminds him about the bad choices he made. It really hit him personally.
Iku snaps his fingers for the Oda members to take Mineta, Bradley, and their two accomplices away.
"Wait! Where are we going?!" Mineta cries, panicking.
"Yeah! You can't do this!" Bradley yells. Shukaku chuckles, "Don't worry! You're going to pay for your crimes with some community service!"
"Meaning you guys...especially you two going somewhere far away that nobody will save you. Not even the pro-heroes." Iku smirks so evilly. This got Mineta and Bradley scared shitless. Mineta looks to Yuji and his friends, "Hey...hey! Come on, Yuji! I'm sorry! I promise I won't do it again! Think about my classmates! What will they think if I go missing?!"
"Yeah! Mineta is a pro-hero! He has friends." Bradley nods.
Yuji stared blankly at the two before sighing, "I will let Midoriya know. But you know? You two need to think about what you did" He said it.
"Midoriya might agree with us that you need help so this is a better time than ever." Said Megumi sternly. Daichi nods in agreement.
"Take him away," Megumi said. Iku grins. Bradley and Mineta were crying and pleading with the Oda members but their words fell on deaf ears as they were being taken away. And so this leaves, Hayato, Moudo, and Shukaku with the Jujutsu High boys. There was this awkward silence...
"So!" Shukaku smiles, "You guys must come a long way! How about you and your group stay for the night? We will offer to pay for the hotel!" He smiles at the group. Yuji, Megumi, and Daichi look at each other.
"You know! I'm kinda tired." Daichi replied to which Megumi sighed, "Fine." He shrugs.
"Okay! Why not? We can tell Sensei about it." Yuji smiles.
"Great! Follow us!" Shukaku gestured for them to follow. Hayato follows them along with Moudo. And so, the relationship between the Oda faction and Jujtusu High is the start of getting on good terms with each other after dealing with a common enemy. Bringing a truce between them.
As for Mineta and Bradley, they are forced to do hard labor by the Oda faction with Iku watching over them. "You miss a spot!"
"This freakin sucks!" Mineta cries.
"Don't worry...we will find a way out of here," Bradley said. Mineta huffs, "Yeah right!" As they continue to clean.
To be continued??

This post might trigger some people since they might have experienced something similar both in the cat calling and past trauma department. I’ve never really written anything so serious and triggering before so this might suck. I’m sorry in advance. So TW beware. Love yaa.💖💖💖

Todoroki Shouto
Tumblr media
-Shouto is really protective of you.
-Not an overbearing type of protective, he just wants you to be safe and sound.
-Also he knew about your abusive past.
-When he shared his family background you shared your own trauma and history with physical abuse.
-It hurt him to hear you saying that someone you trusted, someone who used to be in his place, betrayed you like that.
-If he could find your ex and beat him to a plump because of how he scarred you, he would.
-But you reassured him that you were alright now, that he showed you what being loved felt like even though he himself didn’t really know how to love and that your past is what pushed you to be a hero.
-Your relationship lasted even after high school and now, one year into the adult world, you two lived together.
-It had been a tough day for your boyfriend at work, having to fight three major villain attacks and a mountain of paper work to tackle.
-Fighting along side you was the highlight of his day.
-He was the first to arrive at your apartment and had gotten to preparing dinner for you when his phone rang.
-You smiled back at him from the screen as he accepted the call.
- “Hey, love. I making so-”
- “Sho someone is following me.”
-He heard the panic in your voice and immediately turned off the stove walking to the door to put on his shoes.
- “Y/N where are you?”
-You gave him your location and he was out the door in no time.
-He kept you on the phone, talking to you, trying to restrain your panic.
- “H-he was outside of the pharmacy near the a-agency.”
-You never stuttered, oh god he was going to kill the man.
- “I walked past him and he grabbed my arm a-and pushed me on the w-wall. Shouto he tried to t-touch me.”
-He was running now, his rage making his quirk go crazy as flames rose from his left shoulder.
- “Baby I’m almost there, go into the convenience store on the corner and wait in there.”
-Your weak okay from the other line pushed him further.
-He knew how certain acts reminded you of your ex, even after all these years.
-They would send you into a small panic and even though you were one of the top upcoming heroes , you were still human at the end of the day your own past haunting you.
-He was always there to chase those fears and memories away, never letting them get to close to you.
-And now that’s exactly what he has set out to do; chase away the man who tried to hurt you.
-Rounding the corner he was met with a sight he wished to never ever witness again.
-It seems that you hadn’t made it into the store when he hang up and he slapped himself for not keeping you on the call for longer.
-He heard your sobs as the man had you pinned to the wall his hand trying to unzip your jeans.
-Shouto was fuming.
-Without a second thought he grabbed the man by his jacket and shoved him to the ground, grabbing your elbows to steady you before pushing you gently behind him as the man stood up.
- “Want a taste of her too boy?”
- “Get the fuck away from her!”
-Shouto kept one of his arms behind him pressing you onto his back as the other activated his quirk frost forming from his elbow to his palm.
-He could feel your trembling as you clutched onto his shirt, on of your hands grasping his own squeezing it.
-The man backed away at the sight of Shouto’s ice raising his hands in the air admitting defeat.
-Shouto however had other plans.
-Freezing the man on the spot he growled as he fished his phone out of his pocket and called the police reporting what the man had done and his location.
- “If I ever see you again anywhere near her I’m not going to be this kind got it?”
-And with that you two left as the police sirens sounded in the distance.
-Back in your apartment, Shouto helped you get undressed and then ran you a bath, wiping away the man’s touch and leaving small kisses were his hands used to be.
-He helped you get dressed in one of his hoodies and a loose pair of sweatpants before setting you down on the couch and ordering your favorite food.
-He heard your small sniffles and sat down beside you, bringing you on his lap and letting you cry it out, rocking you back and forth as he kisses your hair.
-You calm down after some time but Shouto won’t let you leave his embrace.
- “I won’t let anyone else hurt you ever again. I don’t care where I am you will always call me when something happens. I love you.”
-For the next month or so Shouto was at your beck and call, never leaving your side and even going as far to take some days off to spend as much time with you as possible.
-He kept his promise as he kept you safe for the rest of your lives.
Shinsou Hitoshi
Tumblr media
-Hitoshi was there for you when he found out about how one of you family members had hurt you.
-He was there when you would wake up with nightmares while sleeping in his dorm.
-Or when you had panic attacks after someone came at you in a way that seemed all too familiar.
-He was there every step of the way.
-Hitoshi was really amazed at how you zoned in on your work and those thoughts never held you back.
-PTSD was hard to battle and even harder to deal with in a work place such as yours.
-After high school your panic attacks fell in numbers, leaving you to rest peacefully at night.
-Shinsou was sure he had chased your demons away, that you felt completely safe with him and that he would never see your trembles of fear ever again.
-But he was wrong.
-You two were out on a date, walking along the beach on a sunny day enjoying each others company.
-Shinsou went to buy you two ice cream leaving you to wait for him on a bench.
-You were minding your business, checking up with your agency to make sure everything is alright; after all it’s not everyday that your main two heroes are out of commission for the day.
- “Damn girl where’d ya get all that ass!”
-It came from a group of man behind you who were staring at you like a piece of meat.
-You tried to ignore them switching to your messages ready to text Hitoshi.
- “Those shorts look so tight on you sweetheart.”
- “I bet it’s not the only thing that’s tight about her.”
-You had frozen up at the nickname.
-It brought back everything you and Shinsou had managed to scare off, pushing them down your throat making your insides twist in disgust.
-He isn’t here it’s just some awful cat callers, Y/N calm down.
-You tried to calm yourself down using your common sense, separating the two situations and pointing out the differences, a  technique Shinsou had taught you while you were still in high school.
-You were so lost in thought you hadn’t noticed the three men hovering over you, one of them reaching down to grasp your thigh.
-That’s when you started to tremble.
- “Aw look at her, she’s so excited..”
- “Let’s go have some fun pretty girl.”
- “We’ll make you feel so good you won’t be able to walk home.”
-You shoved the man’s hand away and went to get up only for an arm to snake around your waist  pulling you back down on the bench.
- “Now now sweetheart don’t be naughty.”
-You wanted Hitoshi.
-You wanted your Hitoshi so bad right now.
-And as if you had summoned him, purple hair could be seen above the men’s heads.
-Shoving them off of you one more time you pushed through hitting Shinsou’s chest as he wrapped an arm around you.
-He pushed you behind his back before scanning the three men, leveling them with a glare so sharp it could slice right through them.
- “You better leave my girl alone before I get really angry.”
-The men scrambled to their feet before running off, terrified from Hitoshi’s structure.
- “Kitten! Kitten are you alright? Did they hurt you? Please kitty talk to me.”
-Tears ran down your cheeks and Shisnou just pulled you gently into his chest before telling you that he was taking you home.
-This man will do everything in the house after that.
-He undresses you and helps into the shower to clear their touch from your skin, then he dresses you in one of his large hoodies and lays you on the couch.
-He can see you are still trembling so he comes back and takes you into his arms before going back to doing whatever he had in mind.
-Now this is a scene to behold.
-Two of Japan’s strongest heroes are walking around their house cosplaying a panda and its bamboo stick.
-He orders take out and then lays on the couch, still having you on his lap drowning your sobs in his chest as he says over and over again how sorry he is for leaving you alone and how much he loves you.
-He knows you haven’t had an episode in what felt like ages.
-It really shook him seeing you so helpless and terrified again.
-He swore he would never see that petrified glint in your eyes.
-That was his new mission.
-And he was willing to do anything to accomplish it.
Iida Tenya
Tumblr media
-Iida is well aware about how your ex had forced you to do certain things with him.
-He also knew how you believed that what had happened had been your fault.
-He had reassured you that nothing was your fault, that your ex was to blame and to never see yourself other than the victim in this situation.
-It hurt him to see you suffer so much.
-He had provided you with a shoulder to cry on and soon enough you two were together.
-When during your last year of high school, his comfort and words didn’t really cut it he encouraged you to see a therapist.
-And that helped you a lot.
-It untangled the parts Iida couldn’t reach on his own and coupled with his support you managed to pull yourself fully out of the whole that your ex had dug.
-Now Iida knew that somethings still triggered you.
-He knew what he should and shouldn’t do while you two are being intimate and what he should watch out for.
-So when you two are taking the train to visit Deku in his agency for his birthday and he feels you squeezed his hand a little too hard he knew something was up.
-You had buried you face in his shoulder, something he wouldn’t allow if you had asked, squeezing his hand as your breathing became uneven.
-Iida looked around expecting to see your ex somewhere thinking that he was the reason for your small attack.
-But he found no one he knew in the crowd.
-Then his eyes fell back down to you and from the corner of his eye he caught movement under your dress.
-Following the source of the movement with his eyes he was met with the lustful eyes of a grown ass man, his hand under your skirt groping and squeezing you.
-He saw his hand trying to separate your thighs and that’s when he fully snapped.
-Grabbing the man’s hand he shoved it in his chest before placing himself between you and him.
- “How dare you touch her like that? You should be ashamed of yourself!!”
-The whole train was looking at the man at this point and Iida could see how the vein on his forehead popped.
- “Being an adult, you should know better.”
-Others chimed in insulting and shaming the man while others asked you if you were alright.
-At the next stop the person got off a chain of angry comments following him out.
- “Y/N honey are you alright?”
-You buried your face in his chest and he let you stay there for the rest of the ride.
-He placed on hand on your back rubbing soft circles over your sweater and talking to you not allowing your thoughts/memories to creep further into your mind.
-He kept your hand in his for as long as you were away from your apartment.
-You would squeeze his hand every now and then, grounding yourself.
-Once at home late that evening he pampered you.
-He ran you a bubble bath and cooked your favorite food.
-He made a small pillow fort on your couch while you were in the bath and he waited for you to finish.
-The rest of your day and night was spent in your boyfriend’s arms never letting you go once.
-He provided his warmth and comfort.
-Just like when you were in high  school.

Summary -  You and Levi are the perfect couple. But after what should have been an amazing date, things start to unravel.
AO3
Chapter 1 - Before
You and Levi had been a couple officially for a few months now, and as far as you were concerned he was the best boyfriend you could have ever asked for. He always included you in what he was doing, he made a point to find things you could enjoy together, and he was always up for cuddles when you were alone even if he was focusing on something else. Things had been going so well in fact, that he had even started designing a special...sexy…Lord of Shadows and Henry cosplay for you both to wear.
He had really impressed you with how quickly he had opened up to you too. Sure he was still a stuttering, blushing mess - but he didn’t let that stop him from giving or receiving affection. So long as you were alone in his room that is, and promised not to mention how red his face was, or ask about whatever that was that was suddenly poking you in the back. Doing anything besides holding pinkies (pinkies, not hands) in public was still sure to make his brain short circuit, but he was trying hard to work through that so that he could take you on more dates in the Devildom.
This particular weekend, you had decided to spend it camped out in his room. From the moment classes ended on Friday (he even made the effort to attend in person classes that day so as to not waste any time waiting for you), to the moment you left for school on Monday: you were all his and he had your undivided attention.
As you reclined in his tub, reading a new manga he had recommended, Levi was resting his head on your stomach with his arms wrapped around your middle. It was Sunday afternoon and he was all too aware of how little time he had left with you before you’d have to leave and go back to your room before school on Monday.
The feeling of your fingers absentmindedly combing through his hair was absolutely heavenly to him and he just did not want this moment to end. He couldn’t think of a time when he had been more at peace. He had spent so many days for so long a nervous ball of anxiety, but with you here now? It felt like he could finally breathe. For once, he wasn’t worried what others had thought of him or afraid of making himself look stupid. It was abundantly clear how much you loved him, and how much you cherished the time you spent together. He trusted you completely.
“Hey, it’s almost dinner time you know.”
You had closed the manga and looked down at Levi as he cuddled close to you.
“What do you say we go out and get something to eat?”
He turned his head slightly so he could glare at you. Did you seriously think he wanted to move right now? Much less leave his room? Or even the house for that matter?
The sight of Levi trying to glare at you from under his bangs while snuggled around your waist, covered in a Ruri-chan blanket made you giggle. Did he even know how cute he was? Probably not. He did things like this unconsciously, especially when he was pouting, that just made you want to hold him close and never let go. He was just so, so cute.
Sitting up, you leaned over so that you could kiss Levi on the head. You stayed bent over like that, with one of your arms around his back hugging him and the other gently stroking his scalp as you continued to play with his hair.
“I want to take you on a date Levi. Please?”
Now that made him blush. He couldn’t say no to you when you asked him so sweetly like that. The idea that you wanted to go out with him, intentionally, so that other people would see you together warmed his heart. Insecurity still plagued him, so these little reminders that you were in fact choosing him and were not ashamed of having a yucky, otaku like himself as your boyfriend did wonders for his self esteem.
“Fine,” he mumbled into your stomach, giving you a firm squeeze.
“Um, sweetheart, you kinda have to let go if we are gonna leave.”
Levi groaned at your nagging, but made no move to release you. So you did the only thing you knew how to do when he was being childish - you tickled him.
Or at least you tried. But he was expecting this, and no sooner had you begun to move your hand to his side, than he began digging his fingers into your own, causing you to squeal and throw yourself backwards onto his nest of pillows in an attempt to escape. Since you had been laying in his tub with him, there really was nowhere else to go.
“Ok ok ok, I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” you screamed in between gasping breaths. Levi was hovering above you now with the most mischievous look on his face, and he finally ceased his assault, allowing you to catch your breath.
“That’s what you get, normie,” he smirked at you, relishing in his victory.
“Then maybe you can teach me how it’s done, senpai?”
Levi froze, his cheeks flushing the darkest shade of red you had perhaps ever seen, while his smirk was replaced by a look of pure surprise and shock. You took advantage of this of course, to loop your arms around his neck and pull him into a gentle kiss. It only took him a moment to close his eyes and return the gesture, but you soon pulled away.
“C’mon. Let’s go. I’m hungry.” you gave him one small peck on the tip of his nose. He slowly nodded his head in agreement, keeping his eyes closed as he was far too embarrassed to look at you right now from this close. It really wasn’t fair how you could just...break him...like that sometimes. But he’d be lying if he said he didn’t enjoy it.
————
“So where are you taking me?”
You and Levi had been walking through the streets of the Devildom for what felt like forever (it was only 15 minutes), and he was getting tired. As much as he loves you and wanted to make you happy, even he had his limits. And he was quickly approaching his limit for physical-outdoor activity.
“We are almost there. I promise. You’re gonna love it.”
He really doubted that. He loved spending time with you and watching you smile, but that was more about the company he was keeping rather than the activity itself. The odds of him finding enjoyment in the restaurant you were leading him to right now were slim to none.
As you turned another corner, it didn’t take Levi long to notice the elegant building on the street in front of him, decorated in authentic, Japanese style. His eyes went wide, and you could feel his pace quicken as he tugged at your pinky to get a closer look. You laughed as you followed after him, happy that your surprise had been a success.
Levi was marveling at the building in front of him - an honest to goodness perfect replica of a traditional, human realm, Japanese tea house. When did this get here? And how did he not know about it? And how did you find it?
“It just opened today,” you offered, “and I had some help from Asmo and Mammon to keep it a secret from you. You have no idea how hard it was to make sure you wouldn’t see any of their flyers or advertising.”
Levi looked at you, pure unadulterated love in his eyes. You were so incredibly perfect. He knew he was weird, and how enthusiastic and single minded about his interests he could get - but you never discouraged him. In fact, right now you were giving him permission to geek his little otaku heart out. He would never be able to express to you the depth of his gratitude for that.
Not wasting any time, Levi adjusted his grip on your hand so that he was holding it properly (it was the least he could do for you, after all), and led you inside.
————
Sitting at your table inside the tea house, you had taken out your DDD and were browsing Devilgram, checking up on the rest of the boys, whom you hadn’t seen much of all weekend. Levi had gone to the bathroom a while ago, and you assumed he was now taking photos of every single detail from the sinks, to the light fixtures, to the doorknobs, considering how long he had been gone.
As you scrolled, one particular photo caught your eye and you had to do a double take.
It featured a small building with a gently sloping roof, wooden posts holding it up to form a covered wrap around porch, and wide sliding doors on one side. It was a building that looked awfully familiar. The same building in fact, that you were currently sitting in.
Tapping on the photo to get a better look, you immediately realized two things -
the image was posted by none other than Mammon and
It was posted less than a minute ago
Just as you had pieced together what exactly was happening, a commotion caught your attention near the building's entrance. Hesitantly, you turned around, trying not to be too obvious, and stole a glance at the group of very out of place demons that had arrived.
Unfortunately, it didn’t matter how subtle you may have thought you were, Mammon noticed you instantly. You swore he had some sort of radar or heightened sense that let him track you down and pick you out of a crowd. He may have been your best friend, but dear god, did he not know how to mind his own business.
“Oi! They’re over here!”
Mammon’s voice rang out as he hurried towards you, his brothers trailing behind him.
“What are you doing here?” you hissed, as he sat down next to you.
“Hey! What’s that for? I came to check on ya is all.”
“And you had to bring your entire family?!”
“Not like I had much choice. Once they figured out where I was goin’ there was no stoppin’ ‘em,” he pouted.
You heaved a sigh, admitting defeat. Mammon was right. You knew him well enough to know he’d never intentionally bring his brothers along to crash your date. It wasn’t out of the question for him to show up unannounced, but he did not like sharing your attention anymore than Levi did.
As the group settled down around the table and began chatting and ordering food, you realized that Levi had yet to return. Surely he’d be done by now, you thought. The bathroom might have been interesting, but there was no way there were that many things to photograph.
“I’ll be right back. Please try to behave,” you pleaded. Asmo gave you a look of mock indignation, and you rolled your eyes at him in response. Yeah, there was no way they were going to behave.
————
Levi had just left the bathroom, and was heading back to the table to join you when he heard the voices of his brothers disrupting the peace and quiet of the tea house. This was not happening. This could NOT be happening. But as Levi looked up from his DDD towards your table, he was forced to accept the fact that this was, most definitely, happening.
He stopped in his tracks and just glared at his brothers. How did they know you were here?! This had to have been Mammon’s fault, he was sure of it. He remembered that you had told him that Mammon had helped keep the surprise a secret, so he grew only more certain that his idiot brother had done this on purpose because he just couldn’t let you be happy without him.
But his anger soon turned inward as we continued to watch you chat with his brothers. You didn’t seem to be bothered by their arrival. It looked like you were laughing and smiling and having a good time. If only he hadn’t left you alone. Why did he take so long in the bathroom? As much as he wanted to continue blaming Mammon, he knew that if he had returned sooner, he would be the one sitting next to you right now and making you laugh.
As Levi continued to reflect on the time he had spent with you at the tea house, he started to realize just how terrible of a date he had been. He barely paid you any attention. Instead he had rambled endlessly about the decorations, and furniture, and costumes the servers wore. He had started listing all his favorite anime scenes that had occurred in tea houses, and explaining the origins of certain treats and the ways they were used in manga to create romantic scenes. He hadn’t talked with you at all.
The guilt felt crushing, leaving Levi with an unpleasant tightness in his chest as he continued to think about all the ways he had failed you today, and he wondered just how happy you could possibly be spending time with someone like him. How many other times had he ignored you this weekend? Or even before that? He couldn’t remember, which only made him feel worse. You looked so happy right now as his brothers fawned over you. Did you ever look that happy with him?
Levi couldn’t take it anymore, and retreated back into the narrow hallway that led to the bathroom to escape from the stares he was certain he was now attracting. He had been so selfish today. And thoughtless. You must be sick of him by now. A good boyfriend would have done something for you in return and taken you somewhere special. They wouldn’t have let you spoil them and completely ignore you as they were consumed with their own stupid obsessions.
“There you are. I was wondering what happened to you.”
The soft, gentle sound of your voice interrupted his thoughts, and Levi lifted his head to face you.
“Levi? Babe, what’s wrong?” you knit your eyebrows in concern at the gloomy expression that had darkened his face. Something had happened in the time you had been apart, it was like someone had knocked the wind out of his sails.
“Hmm? Oh nothing,” Levi forced a smile and wiped his eyes on the arm of his shirt, “I’m just fine. See? I think I’ve been outside too long is all. Not used to all this fresh air.”
He gave you a weak laugh, that you suppose had been intended to convince you he was alright, but in reality all it did was confirm your suspicions. You weren’t going to pry the truth out of him here though, not while you were in public, and certainly not while his brothers were only a couple yards away and could interrupt you at any moment.
“Alright, I understand. I’m feeling kinda tired now too. So why don’t we go ahead and head back?”
You noticed Levi glancing over your shoulder, “Don’t worry about them. Lucifer’s there. He’ll pay,” you said, smiling softly as you took his hand and gave it a comforting squeeze. Levi nodded in acknowledgement as the two of you headed for home.
————
It was late in the evening now, and you had been back in Levi’s room for a few hours. He hadn’t said anything to you the entire way home, or even after you had returned with him to his room. You knew he wasn’t ignoring you though - if anything he was paying even more attention to you than usual and wasn’t satisfied unless there was no visible space between the two of you.
Currently, you were laying in his tub together while his head rested on your chest. You were stroking his hair with one hand, and caressing the arm he had wrapped around your waist with the other.
You had tried a few times to get him to open up to you since arriving home, but the most you could get from him were a few noncommittal hums or sometimes he’d simply hug you closer. So you had settled for just cuddling with him for now and doing what you could to remind him of your presence, hoping that was enough to interrupt his dark thoughts.
The truth was, Levi hadn’t heard a single thing you said to him after you had started heading for home. He heard your voice yes, but he couldn’t process what you were saying so the occasional hum was really all he could offer in response. Every time you had tried to speak to him and he couldn’t answer he hated himself a little bit more. And he also hated the fact that you probably thought he was ignoring you right now. He wasn’t trying to. He knew he had messed up enough on the date earlier, and who knows how often he had messed up before that, he really didn’t want to mess up anymore.
Occasionally he’d feel you press a kiss to his forehead, and he’d wonder why you were being so sweet to him. He didn’t deserve it. You were far too bright and kind and lovely to be with a dark, twisted otaku like him.
But even as his thoughts turned against him, he knew he could never give you up. It didn’t matter if he thought it was in your best interest to be with anyone else. He didn’t want you to leave him, and with each passing moment he grew more fearful that you would one day soon realize just how much of a socially awkward loser he was, and never come back.
————
The following morning, you awoke just before your alarm. You had fallen asleep at some point during the night while holding Levi, and your body was incredibly stiff from maintaining that position. Levi was still next to you, but he was facing the other direction now, using your arm as a pillow. Since his arm was no longer around your waist, you decided now was the time to carefully climb out of the tub to enjoy a nice hot shower in his bathroom.
When Levi woke up, he immediately noticed that your warmth was missing from next to him. He was seized by panic as he shot up, frantically glancing around his room for any trace of you. He knew it. You were going to leave. You left. Of course you did.
He was almost in tears when you emerged from the bathroom wrapped in a robe, drying off your hair with your towel.
“Good morning Levi,” you greeted him as you walked over to your bag to pick out some clothes, completely oblivious to the situation you had walked in on.
Suddenly you felt his arms wrap around you from behind as he hugged you and pressed his face into your shoulder. You were still here. You hadn’t left yet.
“Don’t go,” he mumbled.
“Go? I’m not going anywhere. I’m just getting dressed for school,” you tried to laugh it off, slightly confused as to what he could be getting at and wondering if maybe he had a nightmare that had left him with some lingering feelings.
“I know. Don’t.”
“Levi, I have to go to school. I’m an exchange student. Lucifer would kill me.”
“You can stay here. Take online classes with me. You don’t have to go.”
At that you turned around to get a better look at him, trying to see if you could glean anything about what was behind his behavior from his expression. The look on his face was not one you recognized. He looked...scared? But not the normal scared like he had seen a ghost. This was almost like panic. His eyes were wide and pleading, darting back and forth as he scanned your face for any sign that you were going to change your mind and stay.
DING
Your DDD went off and you moved to grab it when Levi caught your wrist, firmly.
“Please. Don’t,” was all he said.
“Levi, c’mon, I really need to check my messages. It’s probably Lucifer reminding me I have breakfast duty today and….”
“NO!”
Levi cut you off, tightening his grip on your wrist. Why didn’t you understand? He wasn’t ready for you to go yet. He wouldn’t be able to handle it if you did. And he just knew that the minute he let you out that you would never come back. You’d meet up with his brothers and hang out with them and just forget about him altogether and never want to see him again. He was nothing compared to them, and he knew it, and if you left you were bound to figure that out too. He hadn’t even made things up with you for the ruined date yesterday, he couldn’t let you leave until he knew you understood just how sorry he was.
“Levi.”
You tried your best to keep your tone firm and even, but the truth was you were scared right now. He may not have realized it yet, but Levi had shifted into his demon form, and his tail was thrashing wildly behind him. He didn’t really seem to be looking at you either, his eyes looked absolutely panicked now and it was like you were staring at a wild animal, not the precious otaku you had come to love. You hadn’t seen him like this since the TSL trivia battle.
“Levi. You need to let me go. You’re hurting my wrist.”
It wasn’t quite a command, so it hadn’t invoked your pact, but something about your tone of voice snapped Levi out of his daze. He released you immediately, as if he had been burned, and he looked absolutely horrified as realization dawned on him.
You breathed a sigh of relief, “Hey. I really have to go get ready now. We can talk after school. Ok?”
Levi gave you a weak nod, refusing to make eye contact. He kept his eyes locked on a single spot on the floor, as he listened to the sound of you grabbing your bag and exiting his room. Shame. That’s all he felt right now. Soul crushing, humiliating, white hot shame.
He crumpled to the floor, clawing desperately at his chest as wave after wave of panic and anxiety crashed over him. It was only then that he became aware that had shifted into his demonic form, and he let out a strangled cry as the tears began to flow.
What had he done? What the hell had he done?

would it be too much to request a part 2 to cody x demi!reader where cody takes y/n to the mansion with the intention of just introducing them to ej, only for them to meet the whole family (including slender and jack who DEFINITELY don’t think of themselves as y/n’s new fathers and TOTALLY don’t have the wedding planned and y/n’s new room converted and CERTAINLY are not starting to work on a nursery in hopes of becoming grandfathers)
please ignore everything in the parentheses 😂
YES YES YOU MAY XFHSGFSAGHDF I HAD A BLAST WRITING THIS FHDGDSH SLENDERFAM JUST EMBARRASSING CODY WAS SO FUN. That’s probably why this story is 6.4k words long AGDSHFGS
enjoy
‘’Hey, y/n?’’
You look up from your laptop and half-typed essay at your boyfriend. His name is Cody! And he has the softest honey-brown hair and dazzlingly bright green eyes. He’s standing in your doorway, leaning out from behind your door, with his hand holding his phone up to his ear. You tilt your head at him.
‘’I uh- I was wondering if you’d like to come hang out with a friend of mine later? Just the three of us.’’
A friend? Cody- Cody told you he didn’t have friends. Odd. Maybe he made one! You smile at the thought and nod. ‘’Sure!’’
Cody smiles wide and nods. ‘’Yeah, yeah we’ll come!’’ he chirps into the phone, sounding excited. He disappears from view, behind the door, and closes it. From just outside your room you can hear him excitedly chattering to someone. You smile to yourself.
This essay can wait.
-----
‘’So how long have you had this...friend?’’
Cody looks up at you. The two of you are walking through a park- specifically, the park where you asked him to be your boyfriend. He’s wearing his regular track jacket, and has his hood pulled up.
‘’Oh uh- y’know...a couple months…’’ he murmurs, scratching at his neck. ‘’You’ll like him! He’s a chill dude- just uh-’’ he fidgets a bit. ‘’He has a uh- a skin condition! So he wears a mask...try not to mention it, okay? He’s kinda insecure about it.’’
You nod. Oh- poor guy. You decide not to pry any further after that. Cody having a friend is rare, and you don’t want to scare them off. The two of you walk into the forest bordering the park and you look around nervously. It isn’t dark, just evening. But that’s really only a small comfort. Cody takes your hand and squeezes it, like he can tell you’re scared. The two of you eventually arrive in a clearing, away from any and all trails. You frown. ‘’Where are we?’’
‘’This is the spot where he said he’d meet us.’’ Cody murmurs. He looks around. ‘’Weird- he’s not normally la-’’
‘’Hey Cody.’’ a deep voice growls behind you. You yelp and jump in surprise, stumbling away. Cody does the same.
‘’Dude!’’ he yelps. ‘’Stop doing that!’’
You turn and look at the person behind you. Your eyes widen. He’s incredibly tall and dressed casually in sneakers, grey sweatpants and a black hoodie. Your eyes go to the face. He’s wearing a mask, as you expected. It’s blue, and the face is smooth and flat. The eyes are pitch black, with black splotches trickling down the eyes like tears. Fluffy auburn hair hangs over his masked face. He’s- calm. Docile. Just standing there casually with his hands in his pockets. His head slowly turns from Cody to you. His gaze- though he has no visible eyes, bores straight through you, making a cold shiver run down your spine.
‘’Sorry.’’ he grunts. Cody looks at you and gestures to the tall, masked guy.
‘’y/n...this is Jack. Jack, this is y/n.’’
Jack stares at you for a moment, then steps forward. You back up in fear. He pulls his hand from his pocket and holds it out to you. You stare. His hand is big, with sharp black nails that remind you of claws, and ashy grey skin. Right- skin condition. Not wanting to be rude, you take his hand and shake it.
‘’Nice to meet you.’’ Jack’s voice is soft, friendly. ‘’Sorry for scaring ya. I tend to do that…’’ he sounds so sad and apologetic- all fear melts away and you smile gently at him.
‘’It’s okay.’’ you pull your hand away. ‘’It’s a pleasure to me-’’ you stop when Jack holds a clawed finger up. He looks around, sniffing the air. Cody suddenly looks worried.
‘’Something wrong dude?’’
Jack pauses for a moment, then looks at a bush. He lurches toward it, then reaches in. You stare in confusion until-
‘’Hey! HEY!’’
‘’AGH- EJ GET OFF-!’’
Jack lifts two...young...boys...out of the bush. One of them is dressed in a white hoodie and ripped black jeans with converse sneakers. His messy black hair is tied back in a loose ponytail. The other is blonde, with tanned, faded skin and...pointed ears. He’s wearing a green sweater and blue jeans with brown boots. The two boys struggle in Jack’s grip until he steps back and drops them down on the ground. Cody stares in horror as this whole thing happens.
‘’Oh you’ve gotta be kidding me-’’ you hear him whisper. You look from him to the two boys. The black haired boy grunts unhappily and rubs at his head. Looking at him more, you realise his skin is deathly pale. A white, barely pink colour, and his face has two jagged scars curling up from each corner of his mouth in a morbid smile. He looks up and blinks at you.
‘’Who’s the lab rat?’’
‘’They’re not a lab rat!’’ Cody spits.
‘’Food?’’ The blonde boy asks. His bright blue eyes look from you to Jack, who shakes his head.
‘’How’d you two sneak after me?’’ He asks, crouching down. ‘’How didn’t I smell ya?’’
‘’I took a shower.’’ the black haired boy says smugly.
‘’I stopped showering.’’ the blonde says, sounding proud.
‘’That explains it.’’ Jack stands up. You look at Cody and- oh. Oh god.
He looks angry. The angriest you’ve ever seen him. Angrier than that time a guy told you ‘demisexual isn’t a valid identity’. When that happened, Cody broke the guy’s nose and beat him into unconsciousness. You had to literally drag him away before he killed the poor guy! You look at the two kids in worry.
‘’What the FUCK,’’ His voice starts off soft and angry, only to turn into a furious bark. ‘’IS WRONG WITH YOU TWO?!’’ The four of you all flinch. Cody glares daggers at his friends.
‘’Cody calm down-!’’ The blonde yelps.
‘’OH FUCK OFF BEN!’’ He marches forward, but Jack quickly gets in front of him and grips him by the shoulders. Cody glares up at the gentle giant, who very softly pets his head.
‘’Ssshhhh…’’ He shushes. ‘’Go to your happy place, X.’’
Cody’s glare hardens. He inhales sharply, closes his eyes and then- flops...against Jack’s chest. Jack rubs circles into his back. That’s- that’s exactly what you do with him when he's angry- there’s no way Jack has only known him for a few months.
‘’...Babes...?’’ you very gently and very carefully ask. Cody shifts, looking at you. ‘’Uh- so...who’re these guys…?’’
Cody stands back up and sighs. He gestures to the two terrified looking boys. ‘’y/n...these are Jeff and Ben...my-’’ he hesitates. ‘’My brothers.’’
‘’Brothers?’’ you look at the two boys. They’re on the ground, holding each other. They blink at you.
‘’Babes?’’ The black haired boy asks. He looks at Cody, then at you. His mouth opens. ‘’Wait!’’ he jumps to his feet and runs at you. You stumble back as he invades all of your personal space. Up close, you can see he has a green eye and a brown eye, and that his skin is...burnt. ‘’You’re y/n?!’’
‘’I literally just called them that.’’ Cody mutters. ‘’That’s Jeff. He’s dumb. Be patient with him.’’
Jeff steps back away from you. He looks you over for a few seconds. ‘’I like ‘em,’’ he says, glancing at Cody. He looks back at you. ‘’Your taste in guys sucks though. I mean- Cody? Really?’’
‘’Jeff I am going to kill you.’’
You laugh, half out of anxiety and half out of actual amusement. This is weird. So weird. Very weird. ‘’You- never mentioned brothers…’’ you murmur. Cody glances at you, then the others.
‘’Uh- give- give us a second.’’ he mutters before walking toward you and pulling you into the bushes and behind a tree. You stare at him, surprised.
‘’What’s going on?’’
‘’I’ve...been lying to you.’’
‘’Again?’’ you stare up at him, confused. He winces.
‘’Yes...again- but it’s for a good reason this time!’’ he takes a deep breath. ‘’I...I wasn’t homeless. I actually live- or- lived, here in the woods. With Jeff, Jack and Ben.’’ he tilts his head at you to make sure you’re following. You nod for him to continue. ‘’We all lived together with...our dad. He- adopted us all. A lot of us- our dad he um-’’ he fiddles nervously with his hands. ‘’He’s...not human.’’
‘’E-’’ your eyes widen. ‘’Excuse me what?’’ not human. Not Human. NOT HUMAN?!
‘’He’s um-’’ Cody smiles sheepishly at you. ‘’He’s an eldritch monster with no face who likes to bake muffins and read sci-fi novels?’’ Your mind blanks. Literally. You’ve been reduced to a windows error screen but in human form. Cody tilts his head at you and smiles wider. ‘’...sweetheart…?’’
‘’What the fuck…’’ you whisper softly. ‘’How- how did you- why did you let him adopt you?’’
‘’He’s a good dad!’’ Cody says quickly. ‘’Listen- I know it’s a lot but…’’ he takes your hands in his. His hands feel soft, they’re good hands, hands that have carried out genius experiments and held you gently late at night. ‘’A lot of us in the house...we look up to him. He gave us a home, a new life. A lot of us...we didn’t have good lives, but Slender tried to fix that for us.’’ he smiles gently. ‘’Jeff came from a home where he wasn’t loved. Ben- Ben is a ghost...he drowned when he was twelve. Jack was a human, but now he’s a demon. We’ve all gravitated to each other. It isn’t the most functional home, but it’s the closest thing we have to one. Nobody judges anybody, and everybody treats us like we matter. Like we’re loved.’’ his hands squeeze yours. ‘’I know it’s a lot...and it’s scary...but they’re my family, just like you are.’’
You gulp. It’s silent for a few moments. ‘’...Nobody will hurt me?’’
‘’I won’t let them.’’
‘’...then I wanna meet him.’’
‘’Huh?’’ Cody looks confused.
‘’Your dad. And everyone else.’’ you smile at him. It’s your turn to squeeze his hands.
‘’Like- right- right now?’’ he asks. You nod. Cody looks from you, to the clearing where the others are still waiting. ‘’...well- I- I guess.’’
He pulls you back to the clearing and looks at his three...siblings.
‘’Good news everyone! y/n wants to meet dad!’’
‘’Really?’’ Jack turns to look at you.
‘’Are they crazy or somethin’?’’ Jeff asks.
‘’Ohh this is gonna be fun…’’ Ben murmurs with a smile.
Cody glares at them. He sighs. ‘’I told them everything. They wanna meet dad so they’re gonna meet dad.’’
‘’Dude! You gave my deep-seated traumas to another person without my asking?’’ Jeff exclaims. ‘’Rude!’’
Cody rolls his eyes and begins walking deeper into the forest. ‘’You’ll have plenty of time to drop your emotional baggage on us later!’’ he calls back.
-----
‘’So I had Silver lock me in the closet and I had to speedrun the game without even looking at the screen!’’ Ben exclaims. His bright blue eyes are full of excitement as he tells you about his various speedrunning misadventures. He’s been talking you ear off for the better part of fifteen minutes while the five of you trek through the woods. He’s a sweet kid, honestly, and you’d feel bad cutting him off. You honestly never expected a ghost to be so...lively.
‘’Hold up!’’ you all suddenly stop as Jeff holds his hand out, blocking you from walking any further. He turns and grins at you. ‘’Watch this.’’ he steps backwards, holding a finger up in the air. ‘’Now ya see me-!’’ he steps backwards and suddenly disappears from view. You stare in shock.
‘’...and now ya don’t.’’ Ben finishes for him. Cody rolls his eyes.
‘’H-how-’’ your brain scrambles to find an explanation for Jeff just- disappearing. A trick of the light? Mirrors? Maybe a projector hidden in the trees? Jeff’s head appears again, his upper body just- floats there. He grins even wider.
‘’Cool huh?’’
‘’How are- how are you-’’ you squint. Ben laughs next to you and steps forward. He disappears just as Jeff did. The white-skinned boy winks at you and disappears once more. You look at Cody for an explanation. Jack nudges you and you turn to him. He points a clawed finger at the ground. Your gaze follows his finger and you look at the ground. There’s...mushrooms. You arch your brow, confused.
‘’You know what that is?’’ EJ asks, leaning down slightly to look at you properly. You shake your head. ‘’It’s a fae circle. Also known as the entrance to the realm of the fae.’’ he looks at you.
‘’Like...fairies…?’’
EJ nods. ‘’This one’s special though. Dad set it up to keep the house hidden. You can only enter if you’re a fae, or you have the family marking. Of course you’re human, and don’t have the marking, so Cody’ll just pull you through.’’ you can hear him smiling in his voice as he explains. He stands up and steps toward the line of mushrooms. As he steps over it, he disappears from your sight. His hand appears again, and gestures for the two of you to follow. Cody takes your hand in his. He looks at you.
"Ready?"
You nod at him. "Ready."
Cody steps backwards toward the mushrooms. He holds both your hands, keeping his eyes on you. He disappears beneath the veil as he crosses, becoming nothing but some disembodied arms. You step over the mushrooms and-
"Oh my god-!"
Everything just- appears. Suddenly you're standing in a sunny clearing bordered by bushes and tall trees, and standing in the centre is a gigantic house. Practically a mansion. It looks old, but welcoming. The front yard is decorated with various bushes, a flower patch, a set of monkey bars, and a tall fruit tree with a tire swing hanging off one of the branches. I say fruit tree, because just by looking you can see it's growing apples, cherries, avocados, oranges and bananas. Bananas- can't even grow in this climate what-
"Cool huh?" Cody murmurs next to you with a small smile. You grin.
"Yeah…" you murmur. Cody squeezes your hand and walks toward the mansion. "You should've told me you lived in such a fancy pla-" you're interrupted by the loud barking of a dog. You look over to your left and see the biggest dog you've ever seen in your life, poking its head around the corner of the house. It has deep red fur, with some spots of orange and...hair. It has a long mane of messy black hair running from the top of its head and down its back.
"Smile! C'mere boy!" You hear Jeff call. You look over your shoulder and watch the massive dog bound over to the short boy. The dog leaps at him, knocking him to the ground and licking him while its tail wags happily.
"What...what is that…?" You ask, pointing at the dog.
"That's Smile." Cody says. "Jeff's pet hell-hound. He's a good boy, don't worry."
You nod. Smile barks again and turns to you. He grins wide and suddenly bounds toward you. You yelp and stumble back in fear.
"Down!" Cody barks (pun fully intended) at the dog. Smile skids to a halt. "Sit." He says firmly. Smile sits down obediently, his grin dropping. Now you know why they call the dog 'smile'. Cody grabs your wrist and gently guides it toward Smile. The massive dog sniffs your palm ever so gently. Cody lets go of your wrist and you reach up toward Smile, who lowers his head to let you pet him. You grin.
"Well hey there," you coo. "Aren't you a cutie?"
Smile lets out a happy yap and steps forward, butting his massive head against your body. You laugh and hug his head, scratching his neck just below where his spiked collar is.
"Cody!! Ye're home!" You hear a young, peppy voice call. You look over just in time to see Cody grin and crouch down to hug the young girl running towards him. Her hair is short and blonde, and she's wearing a black and white striped shirt, along with grey overalls, ankle boots and a pirate hat. Cody stands up, lifting the girl in his arms. She pulls away and grins at him. Getting a better look at her, you see that she has reddish brown skin that seemingly glints in the light. Her hair isn't blonde, in fact, it fades to red towards the ends, like fire. Her eyes are a bright eye-catching gold. On the sides of her head are two small, red horns that curve inwards. "Ya didn't tell us ye'd be visitin'!"
Cody laughs a bit. "Well I wasn't really planning it." he murmurs, casting a look at Jeff and Ben as they walk up to join you. Cody sets down the girl and looks at you. ‘’Slendra, I want you to meet someone,’’ he gestures to you. The girl, Slendra, looks up at you with big golden eyes. She looks surprised. ‘’This is y/n.’’
She gasps. ‘’The y/n?!’’ her eyes widen and she grins. She hops over to you excitedly and curtsies. ‘’It’s great ta meet ya! Cody told us aaaallll about you!’’
You laugh a bit and crouch down to her. ‘’He did, did he?’’ you give her a sly smile, glancing up at Cody. His cheeks flush red and he glares at you. Slendra giggles.
‘’Yep.’’ she rocks on her heels as she speaks. ‘’Once when he was crushing on you he told us that he wanted to-’’
‘’Avast ye landlubbers!’’ Slendra is interrupted by another young voice. You look up and see a young girl in a pirate costume with a pink skirt. Her hair is brown and frizzy, and her green eyes glare at you and the others with a playful scowl. She...floats, toward you all, her eyes locked on you as you stand up. She stops and points her toy cutlass at you. ‘’Who be this scallywag?’’
‘’Sally, this i-’’
‘’y/n, fearsome pirate of the seven seas!’’ you interrupt with a grin. Cody looks at you in surprise. The girl, Sally, gasps.
‘’The dreaded pirate captain y/n?! Stealer of brother’s hearts?!’’ she cries. You laugh and nod.
‘’The very same.’’
Sally lowers her cutlass and smiles, pleased with you for playing along so easily. She walks toward you and holds out her hand. ‘’Sally Dawn, pirate queen of four of the seven seas.’’
You take her hand and shake it. ‘’y/n, stealer of older brothers,’’ you smirk and lean into her. ‘’Sorry for stealing Cody away, but his booty was too good to pass up.’’ you quietly add with a wink. Sally laughs loudly and lets go of your hand. EJ laughs quietly behind you and opens the front door.
‘’You gonna invite your date inside, Cody?’’ he asks. Cody rolls his eyes.
‘’Course I am.’’ he mutters. It goes silent, with everyone just...staring at Cody. ‘’What?’’
‘’I’m waiting for you and y/n to go in.’’ EJ shrugs.
‘’Why do we have to go in first?’’ Cody replies defensively. You frown.
‘’You scared of somethin’, X?’’ Jeff asks with a smirk.
‘’Like...dad seeing y/n and freaking out?’’ Ben adds with an even wider, cheesier smirk.
"N-No…" Cody mutters. "I just- y'know-" he fidgets, trying to come up with an excuse. You smirk a bit, stand up, and stride right past Cody and into the mansion.
Inside is massive. The walls are a pleasant blue, and when you step out of the small entrance area, you're greeted by a massive living room. There's two black, leather couches, a few single armchairs and some bean bags, all facing a massive TV. The walls are decorated with photos, and in a few of them you can see Cody, EJ and the others, along with people you haven't even met yet.
"Hey guys." Someone greets you as the others come inside to join you. Laying on the couch, holding the TV remote aloft, is a young man. His hair is a light brown colour, and swoops over one of his eyes. He wears glasses, a grey jacket, blue jeans, and a black shirt with the logo of some band you've never heard of before. He sits up a bit, cocking a brow curiously. "who's this?"
"Cody's partner." Sally chimes in as she floats into the mansion. She's hovering, and slightly transparent. Oh. She’s a ghost. Well okay then.
The guy on the couch smirks and stands up. He's taller than you expected him to be. He walks across the room and extends his hand. "Liu Woods. Nice to meet you."
You smile and take his hand, shaking it. "y/n." You say.
He tilts his head, looking at Cody. "You didn't tell us you'd be bringing them over."
"I wasn't planning on it but your brother decided to stalk EJ and ruin my plans." He gestures to Jeff, who holds his hands up defensively.
"Hey don't look at me! I was just taking Smile for a walk and he picked up Cody's scent!" Jeff replies defensively, gesturing at his pet hellhound. Smile looks almost offended at the accusation. Liu laughs a bit.
"Sure bro, I believe you." He murmurs, turning and walking toward the couch again. "So is y/n gonna meet dad?"
"Yup…"
Liu chuckles. "That's gonna be fun."
"Why is it such a big deal…?" You ask. Everyone is hyping up 'dad' so much it's- kind of unnerving. Ben leans out from behind Smile and gives you a devious grin.
"He's gonna flip his shiiiiit." He says softly. Cody huffs and strides past you.
"It's no big deal! I'm gonna go tell dad I'm here, then casually mention y/n and just- introduce them! No big deal!" He turns and looks at you. "Just- wait here, ok? I'll sort eeeeverything ou-"
As if on cue, the door behind Cody swings open. Out of it leans a gigantic, horrifying creature. It's incredibly thin and tall, with white skin. It has no face at all, just a smooth white head. It's dressed in a proper black suit, and over it...a frilly pink apron.
"Kids, dinner is ready."
Oh. So this is dad.
Cody whirls around immediately. "D-dad!" He exclaims. The creature looks surprised.
"Cody!" The creature steps out from the kitchen and walks over to Cody, yanking him into a tight hug. "Oh, it's so lovely to see you! You didn't tell us you'd be coming over! I would have gone out and bought some fresh fish for your dinner." The creature's voice is deep and elegant, but speaks exactly like a doting mother. Cody squirms in the hug and eventually gets released from it.
"Haha, yeahhh...sorry about that uh- well you see I uh-" he fidgets, the creature staring at him with nonexistent eyes. "I brought someone with me."
The creature's head snaps up and stares right at you. You gulp. "N-Now I know what you're thinking!" Cody exclaims. "I should've warned you before bringing in someone new, you guys should've put on disguises and stuff but- well it's a funny story really I was just gonna show em EJ but then Jeff and Ben were in a bush and-" the creature's head lowers, looking down at Cody. He looks over his shoulder at you, gesturing for you to come closer.
You cross the room and stand beside Cody. He takes your hand in one of his, and grips your shoulder with the other. "This...is y/n. The person I'm dating." you both stare up at him in anticipation. Cody looks worried. ‘’Dad…?’’
‘’Cody…’’ The creature’s voice is soft, and almost threatening in tone. ‘’You are...the stupidest person I have ever met!’’
‘’Ow!’’ The creature lightly smacks the top of Cody’s head. He rubs at the spot and glares up at his father. ‘’I told you, it wasn’t planned, it just happened! Calm down!’’
‘’Honestly Cody! I would have cleaned! I would have put on a good tie, made everyone dress up and put disguises on! You don’t want us scaring them!’’ the creature gestures to you, then around the general room. ‘’This place is a mess! What kind of first impression am I supposed to make in this pigsty?!’’
Cody mutters something to himself and looks at you. You gulp and look at the creature, its hand on its hips, glaring down at Cody. You force a smile and bow a bit. ‘’It’s a pleasure to meet you, sir.’’ you say gently. It stops and looks down at you, seemingly surprised.
‘’Oh dear- I’m so sorry, where are my manners?’’ the creature holds out a large, white hand. You notice a small, silver ring on its ring finger. Without hesitation, you take the hand and shake it. ‘’I’m Slender, Cody’s father. I’m so sorry you had to see this place in such a state.’’
‘’I think it’s lovely,’’ you say with a soft smile. ‘’And I think your tie is very nice.’’
Slender withdraws his hand and seems to smile despite his lack of features. ‘’Oh, so polite…’’ he murmurs, sounding like he’s fond of you already. ‘’It’s a pleasure to meet you. Cody told us all about you.’’ he laughs gently. ‘’You’re even prettier than how he described you!’’
You smile nervously and laugh a bit. ‘’Oh- well thank you, sir.’’
He shakes his head. ‘’Please, just call me Slender, dear. No need for formalities. You’re family.’’ Slender clasps his hands together and tilts his head at you. ‘’You two must be staying for dinner, yes?’’
‘’Uh- actually we ate befo-’’ Cody tries to cut in, but Slender has already taken your wrist in his hand.
‘’Great! You like beef, I assume?’’ he asks. You force a polite smile and nod. Slender pushes open the kitchen door and pulls you inside. ‘’Jack, we have a guest!’’
The second you step into the kitchen, your eyes go to the one person sitting at the kitchen table. They’re wearing a grey crop top, bandages around their hands and torso and feathered shoulder pads. Their sleeves, socks and cone shaped nose are all striped black and white. They turn and look at you.
‘’Eh?’’ the...clown? You assume they’re a clown- squints.
‘’Jack, dear, this is y/n! Cody’s partner!’’ Slender gestures to you enthusiastically.
‘’It’s a pleasu-’’ before you have a chance to properly greet the strange clown man, he climbs off his chair and quickly walks over to you. Jack leans down, sticking his face right into yours. You stumble back, only to be caught by Cody as he’s entering the room. You force a polite smile. ‘’H-Hi?’’
"...so ye're Cody's da'e, eh?"
You nod. "Yes sir."
"...ye scared 'f clowns, kiddo?"
"Only ones with cockney accents." You say. Jack's stern expression softens and turns into a grin. He stands back up and laughs loudly.
"I like this one!" He cries. Slender laughs gently above you. Jack grabs your wrist, much like Slender did, and yanks you. "C'mon, take a sea'. Yous're stayin' fer dinner, ain'tcha?"
You can't understand half the things Jack is saying because of his unbelievably thick accent, but you just smile and nod as you take a seat. Cody sits down next to you. You reach over and give his hand a reassuring squeeze while the others sit down. The kitchen table is huge- how many people live here?
"So yous two're livin' t'gether?" Jack asks. You nod.
"Yeah, on campus. I'm studying chemical engineering."
"So you're both scientists," you hear Slender say. You look over your shoulder and see him tending to a large metal pot by the stove. Behind him, more of the black tendrils you saw earlier are pouring dog food into a large bowl for Smile. "That's wonderful."
"And ye're smar'. Tha's real good." Jack adds, looking at you like he's examining you. Cody rolls his eyes.
"Ignore them, they're old fashioned and still think I need their permission to date." He mutters. Jack laughs.
"Well we like y/n, so yous don' 'ave ta worry abou' bein' broken apar'." He winks at you and grins. Cody sighs.
"Hey Slender," Liu speaks up. "Where's Tim? He'll wanna see Cody I'm sure," you notice he, Jeff and Ben all have sly smiles on their faces. "And meet y/n."
You glance at Cody. He looks pale, panicky. You frown. "Oh, he went out to get his prescriptions and some other things. I'm sure he'll be home soon." Slender replies like nothing is wrong. Cody looks like he really, really doesn't want to be here.
"Who's Tim?" You ask quietly. Cody gulps.
"He's-" he's interrupted by the sound of the front door opening and closing. His head snaps to the kitchen door. He looks utterly horrified.
You wait in silent anticipation for whoever it is. Your mind is racing. Tim must be terrifying if Cody is scared of him. You're picturing someone large, muscular, with eyes that can bore straight through you. Someone who would crush a man's skull without hesitation. Someone who-
"Hey guys." The kitchen door opens and in walks a short, stocky man with black hair, sideburns and stubble. He's wearing an old flannel shirt, and holding a paper bag in one hand. He walks past the table, not really giving anybody a second glance.
"Hi Tim." The other kids chorus.
Oh. This is Tim. He doesn't look bad- he seems quite friendly. You watch him set the bag down on the kitchen island and rummage through it.
"Slender, I got a couple of the things you mentioned we needed," he says. "And also a box of donuts, for later." He turns and smiles at the table. His eyes finally fall on you and he blinks, then smiles a small bit. "Oh hey. Who's the newbie?" He glances at Jack for explanation. The clown grins. Before he can answer though, Cody shoots up out of his seat and whirls around.
"H-Heeeey Tim." He sounds like he's trying so hard to be cheerful, and it isn't working at all. Tim gives Cody a surprised smile.
"Hey kid," He tilts his head and walks toward Cody. "I didn't know you were comin' over."
"Heheh- yeah it wasn't uh- wasn't planned-" Cody fidgets nervously. Tim glances at you again. He can probably tell you and Cody are connected. ‘’How have you been? It’s been a while eheh-’’
‘’Good…’’ Tim folds his arms, tilting his head. ‘’Who’s your friend?’’ he nods at you
Cody gulps and glances at you before looking at Tim again. ‘’This is...y/n. My uh- partner.’’
Tim’s eyes widen almost comically. His head snaps to you and he stares. You gulp. Oh. Oh. Tim suddenly doesn’t look friendly anymore, he looks like he could crush a man’s skull without hesitation.
‘’...oh.’’
‘’Is that okay?’’
Tim shrugs. ‘’Yeah, yeah, perfectly fine. Of course that’s fine. Why wouldn’t it be fine?’’ his tone of voice tells you nothing is fine. Slender laughs gently like none of this is awkward or weird.
‘’Calm down Tim. y/n is very nice! They’re smart, they’re funny, they-’’
‘’They made Cody move in with them without even talking to us first.’’ Tim cuts in. Cody whines.
‘’It wasn’t like I had a choice! They didn’t even know about you all until less than an hour ago!’’
‘’Oh, thanks Cody, good to know you care about me.’’
‘’Oh my gooood-!’’ Cody slams his face into his hands. ‘’This is why I only wanted y/n to meet EJ…’’
Before Tim can give another angry retort, Slender puts a hand on his shoulder. ‘’Tim, why don’t you sit down?’’ he says gently. Tim glares at him like he killed his loved ones before sitting down. Cody sits between you two, keeping you safe from Tim’s wrath. Slender puts a large plate in front of you. It’s loaded with mashed potatoes, corn, carrots and meat of some kind. You grab your fork and cut the meat off the small bone it’s attached to. It looks to be ribs of some kind. You cut the meat in half, and take a bite.
The taste is unlike anything you’ve ever had before. It’s definitely beef, but the flavor is almost overwhelming. It melts in your mouth and covers your lips in a glaze of grease and leftover sauce. The sauce is tangy and rich, and very faintly you can taste wine. ‘’Mmmm-!’’
Your involuntary hum of delight is followed by laughter from around the table. Except for Tim, who rolls his eyes and mutters something about table manners. Slender laughs and pats your head. ‘’Eat as much as you’d like, pet. There’s plenty to go around.’’
You smile a bit and keep eating. Even if you had food before coming here, you’re definitely not letting any of this go to waste. It goes silent as you all eat. Even Tim has calmed down. Just as you’re finishing off the deliciously sweet carrots, Slender speaks up again. ‘’So y/n, how much longer will you be in college?’’
‘’Oh uh-’’ you shrug. ‘’I have finals in a couple months, then I’ll only have my final year left.’’ you smile at him. He nods.
‘’I see...a year should be long enough.’’
‘’Long enough for what…?’’ you frown and tilt your head.
‘’To put your room together of course!’’ Slender chirps. Cody starts choking on corn next to you. ‘’After college you’ll probably be moving out of your dorm, and we have plenty of room here. You are family after all.’’
‘’D-dad-!’’ Cody speaks up next to you. ‘’Me and y/n haven’t even talked about that- wh-what if they wanna live outside with like- y’know- normal people?’’
‘’We are normal people, Cody.’’ Slender retorts.
‘’G-guys-’’ you cut in before a fight can begin at the dinner table. You smile at Slender. ‘’I’m flattered at the offer- that’s very kind of you. We’ll think it over,’’ you glance at Cody. ‘’Right babe?’’
‘’Don’t call him that.’’ Tim cuts in. Cody rolls his eyes, but gives you a nod.
‘’Sure.’’
‘’So ‘ow long exac’ly ‘ave you’s been’ da’in’?’’ Jack asks.
‘’Oh uh- a couple months. We’ve known each other a while,’’ you smile. ‘’It’s a funny story really, the first time I met him was in the campus library. We reached for the same book at the same time.’’ you glance at Cody and smirk.
‘’Tha’s real cheesy.’’ Jack murmurs.
‘’But it’s sweet,’’ Slender adds. ‘’Makes me remember the first time we met…’’ his face flushes a grey colour. Jack laughs gently and squeezes his hand. Cody rolls his eyes.
‘’Speakin’ of me an’ Slen,’’ the clown looks at you. ‘’When’s th’ weddin’?’’
‘’DAD-!’’ Cody yelps.
‘’There isn’t gonna be one if I have anything to say about it.’’ Tim mutters. You gulp. Oh. The faceless monster wants you to marry his son. You fidget nervously and look to Cody for help.
‘’We haven’t- we haven’t even thought about that yet!’’ he yelps, sounding as embarrassed as you feel. ‘’I mean- what’s next, you’re gonna ask me for grandkids?!’’
‘’We were planning that yes.’’ Slender doesn’t even sound like he’s joking. ‘’We can convert one of the spare rooms into a nursery! We might have to move someone to a different floor though…’’
Tim glares at you from behind Cody. ‘’Touch him and you die.’’
‘’I know this lovely place by Lake Charles where we could hold the wedding. Me and Jack got married there back in ‘98, you remember that don’t you dear?’’ he glances at Jack.
‘’I remember th’ dress…’’ Jack smiles fondly. You’re- not even going to question that. Cody sighs.
‘’We’ll think about it…’’ he mutters. Clearly, he’s given up. ‘’But no grandkids! Not yet!’’
"Fine. But I'm still putting the baby name books in your room. They're taking up too much space in my office anyway."
Cody rolls his eyes and sits back in his seat with a huff. He reaches over and grabs your wrist. "May we be excused?"
"You're done eating?" Slender glances at both your plates.
"We'll take the leftovers home." Cody responds quickly. Slender sighs and nods.
"You may."
Cody pulls you up out of your seat and towards the backdoor. The two of you step out into the backyard. It's starting to get dark now, and a chilly breeze blows past you both. Cody sighs gently and leans against the wall, rubbing at his face tiredly.
"You okay?" You ask gently. He nods.
"Yeah just-" he purses his lips, frustrated. "I'm sorry my family's so...weird. I really wanted you to like them and have a good first impression of everybody."
You tilt your head. "I do like them."
He looks up at you. "...you do?" He frowns. "They're not- y'know- weird? You aren't freaking out?"
"Oh no they're super weird and I'm definitely freaking out I mean- you have three dads and one of them is a clown, not to mention Tim is fucking terrifying but-" you pause and smile at him. "They're really nice people...and they love you, just as much as I do." You move closer to him. "Plus...they already consider me family so- I don't think I have a choice but to like them."
Cody stares at you for a moment, then cracks a smile. He laughs gently, relieved. "...thank fuck." He murmurs with a smile. He holds out an arm. "C'mere."
You move over to him and rest against him, letting him hug you. You snuggle up against his chest. He feels warm, and safe. His lips brush against the top of your head. "I love you." He murmurs. "I'm...glad you like them."
It's quiet then. Just the two of you enjoying the warmth of the moment.
"Ey, luv birds." Aaand it's been interrupted. You look up and over at LJ, leaning out the backdoor. "Slen wants ta know if yous're stayin' th' nigh'." He gives you both a sly smile. Cody exhales softly and looks down at you, cocking a brow to ask what you wanna do. You smile up at him.
"Sure pops. I guess we could stay."

MC comes home to the devildom from the war
Gender Neutral Character
Trigger warnings: Mentions of war, death, injuries swearing.
This is in no way trying to romanticize war and/or war injuries. There might be a part 3 where MC is getting used to being around the demons again and the same applies to that part.
(Imagine below the cut)
An honorable discharge.
That’s what Barbatos was told when Simeon revealed that he would be bringing you home. But seeing as he made him promise to not tell the brothers, Barbatos knew something was wrong. He relayed the message to Diavolo, who beamed at the fact that one of his favorite humans was returning.
When Solomon and Simeon came in later that week with you supported by your remaining wrath big D, Diavolo almost cried at the state you were in. You now sported a prosthetic right arm and leg and had noticeably shorter hair. Your clothes hung off your frame, and your eyes seemed empty of life.
The big D of wrath looked a little better, with only a few circular scars, and Diavolo feared to know what had happened to the other wrath and pride demons. Never less, he bowed low to the two of you in respect for what you had done, before approaching you to hug you. His heart broke when you flinched, and he quickly turned it into a handshake to save your pride.
The wrath demon excused himself to find the families of the two demons that had died and gave you a quick side hug before passing you to Solomon and letting the sorcerer support your shaky legs.
They took you back to purgatory hall that night after catching up for a while, and you slept beside Solomon, who stayed away for the most part to help you through a nightmare.
When Luke saw you the next morning, he cried. He had been so worried, as Simeon hadn’t wanted him to see you while you were out, so you held him close to you on the couch while he asked a few questions. You tried not to flinch away when Simeon showed up with tea and cookies, and no one questioned you when your hands shook.
Luke was especially scared of hurting the area where your prosthetics were attached, but you assured him it was only bad when you got too cold or it they were attached improperly. You didn’t tell him how you lost your limbs, but later on that day allowed Simeon to explain to him what had happened.
A grenade had been thrown, and you had jumped in front of one of a medic who was tending to one of your fellow soldiers. The big D of pride was the one who carried you away, and bought you back to the base to get your wounds treated while the remaining wrath demon finished off all the enemy soldiers in a mile radius due to his rage. The medic and soldier you had saved swore secrecy to what they had witnessed. Promising to tell no one of the two creatures that crawled out of the shadows in your defense.
When a week later you were finally able to walk with little help from the angels or Solomon, you decided to get your stuff from your room in the House of Lamentation to bring to Purgatory hall. Solomon and Simeon helped you walk over, as they knew when the boys saw you there’d be chaos.
Somehow, you didn’t pass anyone until you got to the stairs, so Solomon went ahead with Luke to start gathering your stuff to make it easier for you. Simeon stayed by your side as you struggled up the first few steps, the prosthetic leg slightly uncomfortable against your skin as you lifted it to step up.
“Y/n?” The voice was quiet, but both you and Simeon heard it without a problem.
It was Mammon.
The avatar of Greed stared at the two of you, eyes wide and breathing shaky as he took a step forwards, and you offered a small smile.
“Hey you.”
Simeon had to grab a hold of your shoulders to prevent you from falling backwards at the force Mammon hit you, and you felt damp droplets hit your short hair as tears fell from the demons face.
Other then Solomon, this was the first hug you had received from anyone since getting home, and somehow, although you were happy to finally see one of the brothers after so long, you were uncomfortable at the act. Upon realizing how tense you were, Simeon had to forcefully extract you from the demon’s grasp, which made Mammon growl lowly.
But when the white-haired male saw the discomfort on your face, he froze. And then he looked at the rest of you. His eyes lingered on your arm and leg, and he finally seemed to realize how short your hair was as he took a step back.
“What happened to ya over there Y/n?”
By the time you had relaxed and managed to mumble out a coherent sentence, pounding footsteps echoed from the direction of the kitchen, and a rush of ginger barreled towards you.
Simeon actually had to whip out his wings and shield you from Beelzebub’s hug, which was not taken well by the avatar of gluttony. Belphegor was close behind his twin, and the commotion must have reached the other brothers because you could hear faint footsteps from other areas in the house.
Satan seemed the least surprised by your arrival, and he helped to hold back his brothers until you could reach the top of the stairs with Simeon’s help. Later he would tell you that the big D of wrath that had survived came to tell him that you were back, and that he decided to wait until you were ready to see them. He understood war, and how it could change people.
Asmodeus was crying as he babbled out welcome home and thanked you for coming back to them, and Leviathan was trying to hide his own tears of joy that you were alright.
When Lucifer finally arrived last, his gaze landed first on your face, then he scanned for injuries. He was annoyed that Simeon’s wings were still covering most of you but accepted your silence and the nervousness in your eyes as a warning to hold back for now.
When Simeon pulled back his wings to help you up the rest of the stairs, the brothers -other than Mammon- fell silent. Their eyes lingered on your new limbs, and they seemed almost afraid to say anything about them.
By the time you had returned with the two angels and Solomon in tow, they had composed themselves. Satan or Lucifer must have warned them to hold their tongues about anything that had happened while you were gone.
“How long have you been back?” Beelzebub was the first to speak, asking the question that everyone wanted to know, and you avoided their eyes as you reached the flat floor.
“A week and a half.” Your voice would not have been heard by them if they didn’t have such good hearing. You could clearly see the anger, the hurt as they realized you had been back this long and didn’t contact them at all. “I needed time.”
“They don’t have to explain themselves. We’re heading back to Purgatory hall until they’re comfortable with being around so many people again.” Solomon wrapped an arm around your shoulders as he stepped closer to you and took their eyes off of you. With his statement, you could see the crestfallen eyes of the demon brothers you had grown to love, and you shuffled on your feet in discomfort.
The angels and human walked you past the brothers, who parted silently to let you pass.
“May I bring you a few books that I had saved for your return?” Satan’s words almost made a tear slip out.
He had still been collecting books he thought you might like while you were gone.
“That would be appreciated.”
And then you were out the door.

It was senior year of high school and Dean Winchester had been given the title of quarterback of the football team. Of course the cheerleaders were all over him, but what they didn’t know was he already had an eye out from a particular one. Dark raven hair, and blue eyes that glimmered like little waves when the sun hit them at the right angle. A few months prior, his dad had finally found the demon that had killed their mother fourteen years ago. John went down with the demon, so their uncle Bobby had taken the boys under his wing. For the first time, the boys had a chance at a normal life, and Dean finally had a chance with one of his crushes. Sam made fun of him for it, but Dean didn’t care. He knew his little brother was teasing.
The practice that day was cut short due to an incoming storm, while everyone was upset due to the big game coming up, they had no choice. The school and the coaches call the end of practice.
“Good luck boys, we don’t have another practice until game day, so go home, stay safe, and I’ll hopefully see you boys tomorrow. 1...2..3..”
“GO ANGELS!” THe team shouted before breaking apart to go home.
Dean slid his way over to the cheerleaders who were huddled in a tight circle until Dean came over. All the girls tried to push past each other and talk to him, but Dean walked right through all of them. He made his way over to the one male cheerleader and sat down.
“Hi, name’s Dean…” Dean flashed his winning smile, but he could feel himself getting flushed.
“Winchester, I know. You are kinda the quarterback. Everyone knows your name.” The other boy gave Dean a shy smile and continued packing up his practice bag. “Cas...Henry Castille.” Henry swept a piece of loose hair away from his face.
“Oh...Well uh there is going to be a party after the game friday night, I was wondering if you would like to come with me?” Dean asked awkwardly. He had never had trouble asking someone out before, but here he was, stumbling over the words from his mouth.
“I am actually busy friday night, family stuff ya know? Gotta love family.” Henry gave a nervous chuckle and gave Dean a small smile.
“Yeah I do understand, that sucks. It’s going to be a fun party.”
“DEAN!” A young voice called from the side of the bleachers. Both Henry and Dean glanced up at the young boy. His long brown hair was all messed up and his lip was bleeding. “Dean!” The boy made his way over to his older brother and plopped down in his lap.
“What happened Sammy? Who did I need to kill?” Dean asked, smoothing out Sam’s hair.
“His name is Gabriel. He is so annoying and he keeps playing pranks on me. The teachers just say it’s harmless fun so they won’t do anything about it.” Sam complained.
“Question about this tall, blondish hair, green eyes? Has a small scar on his face right about here.” Henry asked, making a slashing motion in front of his ear.
“Yeah, you know him?” Sam asked.
“Unfortunately…” Henry’s voice went flat as he narrowed. “That is my brother. The not so responsible one. Don’t feel bad Sam, he does it to all of us, but of course dad won’t say anything to him about the pranks. Then again, no one has heard from dad in ages.” Henry shook his head in frustration. “Anyways, as I said, family business after the game.”
“Oh is he your new boyfriend?” Sam asked, looking up at Dean. Dean elbowed Sam in the side and gave a nervous chuckle.
“We should be going. They didn’t cut practice for no reason.” Dean told Henry standing up, grabbing his bag.
“Yeah you’re right. Uh nice talking to you>” Henry said walking off. He gave Dean and Sam a wave and went to his car where several of his brothers were waiting. They all piled into a mini van and drove off.
Dean sat Sam in the passenger seat and took a first aid kit out of the trunk. Dean had never bothered to clean it out just in case for some reason they needed the supplies. Dean quickly closed the trunk and came back over to Sam who was playing with a video game console Bobby had gotten him for Christmas.
“What ya playing?” Dean asked as he cleaned off the dried blood to clean the cut.
“It’s Mario. I am so close to saving Princess Peach.”
“Is that right?” Dean gave a small chuckle as he pressed the alcohol soaked cotton ball against Sam’s lip. Sam jumped a little and let out a small squeal.
“That hurt.” Sam complained.
“Why do you think I was talking to you.” Dean countered, ruffling Sam’s hair. “So how was the student council meeting? Does our ninth grade president have any smart ideas?”
“I did, but the pesky upperclassmen shot me down. They said my idea was baby and childish.” Sam told Dean as the older brother put the first aid kit back in the trunk.
“I’m sure it wasn’t Sam, what was your idea?” Dean questioned, getting into the car.
“I suggested they get another computer lab because more and more places are starting to use them. So it would be useful if we knew how to use them ourselves. All i got in response to that was ‘Sam, it’s not like computers are going to take over and replace us at everything, plus, the teachers like the old school handwritten papers anyways. So next…’ I’m going to laugh when we all end up doing everything through computers. I mean you have to brace the new technology to advance into the future. They are the stupish and childish ones by not understanding that concept.” Sam gave a small laugh and smiled over at Dean.
“You are probably right, you tend to be so. I bet you end up marrying a computer.”
“Well you know, sometimes I think technology is more reliable than people anyways. I mean you have your car don’t you.”
“Hey Baby is a classic treasure. You can’t insult perfection.”
“Exactly.” Sam retorted. The two brothers shared a laugh before Dean blasted their cassette tapes all the way home. The storm clouds had rolled into town, and thunder sounded off in the distance. BY the time the boys got to Bobby’s, it was pouring down rain, and they spirinted inside, backpacks in tow. Bobby gave them a towel to dry off with and asked them how school was.
“Well all of the older kids are idiots.” Sam said, “but did you know that snails have no gender. Well they do, but they don’t. Anyways next week we get to cut up a fish.” Sam smiled and ran upstairs to do his homework.
“That kid scares me sometimes.” Bobby told Dean sitting down at the kitchen table.
“You and me both.” Dean told him, chucking his book bag to the back door.
“You don’t have any homework son?” Bobby asked, raising an eyebrow.
“No, I don’t…” A flash of lightning from outside illuminated Dean’s face as he tried to wiggle his way out of his math homework.
“Boy get your homework out or no game on friend.”
“But Bobby….”
“Dean...Now.” Dean grunted in response and got out his binder for school. It was a complete mess unlike Sam’s who was completely organized and colorcoded.
“How do you find anything in that mess?” Bobby asked.
“It is organized, in my own way.” Dean told Bobby, taking out his math book and some paper and a pencil. Dean began to scribble down some problems on a notebook as a roll of thunder shook the house, causing the lights to flicker. Dean glanced up and shrugged his shoulders. When he glanced back down, Bobby was gone, but Sam was standing there with a pair of scissors. “What are you doing?”
“The sleeves on my shirt are too long, they are getting in my way, and you do it better.” Sam said, giving Dean the scissors and his arms. Dean gave a small laugh.
“Well you need to change into a different shirt. Go on, change into a different shirt and come back.” Dean took the scissors and set them on the table. He got up to find the small sewing kit he kept in his bag. He used to give all of his shirts that couldn't fit him to Sam. Sam didn’t like the very long sleeves, so Dean would cut and fix them for Sam. Dean felt a little weird as he sat there and threaded the needle. He sometimes wondered what the other guys would think of him, since everyone thought he was the cool guy. Then he remembered that he was doing it for Sam, and he didn’t care what they would think.
Before Sam came back downstairs, the lights went out from the storm outside. Dean found some flashlights and candles and lit them. He placed them around the halls and the kitchen so he could see and Sam could make it back to the kitchen without falling over anything.
Sam eventually made his way back downstairs with a new shirt on, and the one with sleeves to long in his hands. He gave the shirt to Dean and smiled. Dean put the sleeve up against Sam’s arm and put a pin at where it would fall on his wrist. He cut the fabric off a little bit over that area. He gave the extra fabric to Sam who kept it for whatever reason. Dean was never quite sure what Sam actually did with the scraps, but he never questioned. After another thirty minutes had passed, Dean gave the shirt back to Sam.
“Here is this better?” Dean asked, as Sam slipped the shirt back on. Sam glanced down at the sleeves which were no longer too big for his small arms.
“Thank you Dean.” Sam gave his brother a hug, which Dean reciprocated. The storm went on and through the night, but was clear by the morning. Which was good, because that would mean the field would be dry by the big game that was coming that evening. The school was abuzz with excitement since the game determined whether they went to state or not, and school was cut short for a big prep rally at the end of the day.
Everyone came over to Dean and some of the other football players during lunch to congratulate them and wish them good luck. Eventually Henry made his way over and gave a sheepish wave.
“Hey good luck with the game tonight, I hope you do well.” The cheerleader told Dean.
“Oh uh, thank you. You too. Uh keep those poms poms waving.” Dean told him giving awkward finger guns. Henry finger gunned back and walked away trying to figure out why he did that. Dean glanced down at his hands before back up to the other players who were sitting with him at the table.
“Dude, what was that?” One asked, tilting his head at Dean.
“I have no idea.” Dean replied, trying to keep his face from turning red, but the other had started to pick up what was going.
“Dean and Henry sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes love, then comes marriage, wait is that even legal. I don’t think that is legal. HA imagine being with someone and you can’t even get married because it’s against the law.” Everyone else at the table started laughing, so Dean just got up and left. He didn’t feel like dealing with their bull crap. Dean located Henry across the lunchroom by himself. Dean started to head over there before he got ambushed by a bunch of girls. He did his best to get away, but by the time they stopped talking, the bell had rung for them to get back to class. Dean passed by Sam who was heading to lunch and gave his brother a small wave. Sam waved back as a group of people surrounded him congratulated him on his victory. Dean tilted his head, but Sam shrugged it off.
Dean stopped by his locker to grab a book for his next class, just to find his locker had been vandalized by some of the other guys. They left a bunch of sticky notes on his locker with some degrading words and insults. Dean quickly took them down and grabbed his book from inside the locker. When Dean got to class, he tossed the wad of sticky notes into the trash can and took his seat. Their teacher walked in right as the bell rang. Dean felt something hit his head and turned around to find a paper airplane on the ground.
“Passing notes now are we Mister Winchester?” Mrs.Smalls asked. She took the note and opened it in front of the class. “Dean Winchester is a big ole F- Who wrote this? I demand you speak up now or I am giving this whole class detention.” Mrs.Smalls glanced around the room but no one spoke up. Mrs.Smalls shrugged. “Ok I will be seeing all of you except Mister Winchester after the prep rally. Three hours. And hour per letter for that terrible word.”
“Good thing we didn’t write what we were originally going to write.” Someone in the back of the class whispered.
“What was that?” Mrs.Smalls asked. She had many things wrong with her, but her hearing was not one.
“Nothing Mrs.Smalls.” James Quaker told their teacher. James was one of the other players on the team. He never liked Dean much to begin with, so anything he could find to drag Dean through the mud with waas fine by him. Mrs.Smalls let free the rest of the class for detention except James and the boy sitting next to him, David.
“But Mrs.Smalls we have practice.” David complained.
“Well maybe you should have thought about that before throwing the paper airplane.” The class was eventually let out for the prep rally and Dean made his way to the locker rooms in the gym where they were waiting to be introduced. Dean found Henry sitting by himself. Henry seemed to be crying as Dean quietly sat next to him.
“I’m so sorry.” Henry whispered through tears.
“What no, hey it wasn’t your fault Henry. The guys are just jerks okay. Don’t pay them any attention.”
“Don’t pay them any attention? Even the girls are in on it, and I can’t do anything or it would be considered abuse.” Henry looked up for the first time and saw some scratches across Henry’s face.
“Henry I…” Dean put his hand up, but Henry shrouded away. “Henry please at least let me help.”
“I’m not about to let you walk me to the nurses office. Then I would have to explain what happened…”
“I have a first aid kit in my car. We could walk out…”
“Thank you Dean, but once again no.” Henry just gave a small smile and got up since the cheerleaders were announced first so they could introduce the football players.” Dean grabbed Henry’s hand and let them linger there for a second before he walked away. Dean just sat there fiddling with his helmet. Being the quarterback, Dean was introduced first. He ran out between the cheerleader who he could hear snickering at him as he ran by. Dean just put on a smile as he waved at everyone and ran over to the spot where the team was going to take a picture. Once everyone was there, they snapped a quick picture before continuing with the rally. The cheerleaders did some routines and the theater department came out and did a dance routine they made up. Sam was dressed up as a little Angel and Dean let out a small laugh.
After the rally everyone was dismissed to go home. The football players made their way to fuel to get in one last practice before the game. The coach told everyone that if they didn’t stop with all the ruckus he heard about today, he would forfeit the team for the game. For a while, everyone was quiet and focused just on the practice. Afterwards however was a different story. Dean didn’t know how to deal with it, so he just went and sat in his car. He made sure all the doors were locked and windows rolled up tight. After a few seconds he hated the silence so he blasted ‘Eye of the Tiger’ and just sat there hitting the steering wheel like a drum.
Dean eventually opened his eyes when he heard tapping on the window. He thought it might have been Sam, so he just turned down the music and opened the passenger side door.
“Hi Dean.” That wasn’t Sam’s voice though. Dean sat up straight and turned off the music.
“Oh hi Henry. Are you okay?” Dean asked.
“Do you still have that first aid kit?” Henry asked, rubbing his face softly where the scratches were.
“Yeah of course, stay here.” Dean got out of the car and quickly grabbed the first aid from the trunk. He came back and started to talk to Henry like he did with Sam to distract him.
“So how was your favorite class today?” Dean questioned.
“Oh good. We learned the art of avacodo’s number.” Henry told him laughing.
“You mean avogadro's number?”
“Yeah that….owwww.”
“Sorry...sorry yeah I know this probably stings.”
“Castiel what are you doing?” A voice asked. A tall woman with short brown hair randomly appeared in the backseat.
“Castiel?” Dean asked.
“Naomi!” Cas jumped before sighing. “Dean, Naomi, Naomi, Dean. This is my...boss…” Cas told Dean.
“How did you get here? You’re...you’re not a demon are you? Because if you are, you are in for quite a surprise.” Dean told Naomi.
“No, the opposite actually. An Angel and so is Castiel or as you know him Henry.” Naomi glared as Cas who was sitting there with his head down. He had no idea what to do or say with Naomi there. “I sent you here to watch over Dean Winchester, not fall in love with him Castiel.”

Sorry for asking so much but if u dont mind i like to think that blossom sees boomer like his little bro so lile one day boomer having panic attack and blossom helping him. God i love my bby boy suffering
Oh don’t apologize! I love it! Ask as much as you want love. Fun fact, I used to have panic disorder from the age of 6- 17 so I know all about panic attacks. That wasn’t a very fun fact but uhhh, hope you enjoy!
Everything in this fic is from my own experience and I also took psychology as well.
So I’m going to write this with my version of my own attacks so what you see boomer having is equivalent to mine. From my own experience just so that no one comes for me, I can’t speak for about ten minutes and its had to move so im either sitting or under neath something like a desk. Once I can talk, I stutter and can barely form full sentences. Its important to know that panic attack and anxiety attacks are much different as the first doesn’t have triggers but the second does. Also the first thought you have when you going into a panic attack is thinking you are about to die, scary but its true.
Now that is out of the way, I hope you enjoy this fic and sorry that it took so long to do!
Pairing: Blossom and Boomer (non shipping)
Fandom: Powerpuff Girls
——
She never really knew how or why she heard it. Super hearing gave you many things but hearing the worlds smallest sob escape trembling lips was never something she usually picked up on.
It buzzed in her ear and the hairs on the back of her neck stood up with a slight chill. Soon her feet were taking her upstairs and it was the first time she had ignored the hall pass rule.
Being a hero meant she had to be ready for anything. Monster attacks, demons rising from the pits of hell and even gangs shooting up stores, it was all part of the deal, yet there were some problems that not even super powers could handle.
She opened the door to the roof slowly before stepping out and feeling the crisp and cool air of the morning. It would have been peaceful if someone wasn’t crying. Her foot steps were that of a ghost as she walked towards the other end and she dropped to her knees before placing a hand on a trembling shoulder.
“Boomer?” she asked quietly.
The blond boy looked up, his eyes had been blown wide and were rubbed red to the point that they might scar. His lips trembled as he said nothing stared at her with an empty look.
She felt frightened in that moment, not for her well being but his. She watched as his lips parted but nothing came out. He tried to speak but his voice was like a desert. Dry and bare.
His eyes searched for an answer, something to cling and grab onto so he could swim.
“Boomer, are you okay?” She asked knowing the answer already. Again, no words but blue eyes that begged for help.
His breathing picked up, hyperventilation coming into play and he brought his hands to his ears and slammed his foot down as if to drown out the silence. Blossom searched for any sign of what could have hurt him, she had to think. There was nothing, no monster or attack and he didn’t seem physically hurt, so what could-
Oh. Oh. OH.
She should have known what was happening the minute it she saw him. Her advanced psychology classes came into handy just now.
“Boomer.” She said softly and he opened his eyes. “I think you are having a panic attack.” His eyebrows furrowed and she bit her lip. “Okay maybe you are aware of that but I’m going to help you through this, okay?”
Boomer said nothing and she didn’t expect him too. She made a mental note that he was going non verbal during these and maybe that's why he couldn’t call for help.
Blossom dug through her bag for her notes and found it in record time. “Okay lets see, panic attacks.” She began to read. “The first thing that happens during an attack is the thought of death. Oh.” She frown. “There is a constant state of panic that last five to ten minutes but the after math of the fear could last hours. In order to stop a panic attack, the person experiencing it must wait it out or an extreme reaction can help quicken the process, other than that, there's nothing to do.” She scoffed. “Gee that was helpful.”
All she needed was a distraction, she could do that. She could tell a joke? No, she wasn’t good at those and only got a humorous reaction from her clumsiness. Instead of trying to figure it out, her phone was her next best guess.
“Don’t worry Boomer, I got you.” She smiled. She went to a few different sources and found one. “Ice in the mouth. It should trick your brain into thinking about it instead.” Blossom looked around. “Where can I get ice?”
She suddenly felt a finger poke at her cheek. She looked at Boomer who was point at his mouth then to her. Oh!
“My ice breath!” She cheered and held out her hand and carefully blowed until a small cube formed in her hand. “I’m not sure Boomer that might be a little gross-”
The cube was taken and before she could protest, it was in his mouth.
“Okay then, how's that working?” She questioned with a soft expression.
He looked from the left then to the right as he shifted the ice in his mouth. Slowly he opened his mouth, his voice breaking as he spoke.
“I-” He tried to say as tears formed in his eyes again.
Blossom put her hand on his and ushered him not to speak.
“Its okay, you don't have to say anything. You got through it, I’m sorry I was only here at the end but you did it, Boomer.” She said proudly.
He wiped his tears with his sleeve that was already soaked from earlier and leaned to grab her shoulder and pull her into a hug. She felt the tension from his shoulders fall instantly and his heart rate slower to a more desired rate as he hugged her tighter and held her for a moment. She didn’t dare budge but gave him a squeeze and ruffled his hair as he pulled away.
“Your face is awfully red, maybe you should go home.” She said as she helped him stand.
He nodded and grabbed his bag. “T-thank you.” He croaked. “No one has ever been with me before.” He said sadly.
She frowned. “Does Brick know?”
Boomer shifted on the balls of his feet. “No.”
“Do...do you have these often?” She was almost afraid to ask.
“Once a month maybe. Most of the time I’m at home, haven’t have a public one in a while.”
“Was there anything that could have caused it?”
He bit his lip and shrugged. “No. You read those books, they are random but Brick and Butch fighting constantly and the stress of school doesn’t help. But it's okay.” He offered her a smile. “That ice trick worked really well. Without you, I probably would have been there until school got out. I’m just really happy it was you and not anyone else.” He said honestly.
“I think you should tell your brothers. You can barely speak in that state and I would hate for something to happen when you couldn’t call out for anyone.”
He tightened his hold on his backpack and gulped. “I don’t want to. Its embarrassing. I’d rather keep it to myself, I can handle it.”
She knew there was no way he would budge. She exhaled and pulled his phone  from his pocket.
“hey what are-”
“Im installing a safety button. My sisters and I have a button that we can push that automatic lets us know when we are in danger and can’t speak. It's mostly for missions and things like that but this is just as important.” She handed him his phone back. “So when ever this happens and you feel like you need some help or someone to just sit there with you, I’m one click away.”
He stared at the button and placed his thumb over it. A beeping noise came from Blossoms phone and she pulled it out to silence it. “See like that.”
A wave of emotions came over Boomer as he began to tear up for the hundredth time. “Blossom, I don’t think you know how much this means to me.”
Blossom brought him in for another hug. “You won’t be alone any longer, I promise.”
She felt him nod against her shoulder and wiped the tear steaming down his cheek with her thumb. “Lets go get you check out to the office and sent home, you should rest.”
“Yeah. I’m a little dizzy.”
She wrapped her arm around his and the began to walk towards the office just as the bell rang.
“Damn it, I miss third period.” Boomer sighed.
“Its fine. Buttercup will give you the homework and I’ll get anything else you need.”
“You really don’t have to Bloss.”
“As a hero and more importantly, a friend, I will.” Blossom said.
“Boomer.” They heard a voice behind and she knew instantly it was Brick.
They stopped walking just as Brick came in front of them. “The hell are you doing?” Brick asked as he looked at their conjoined arms.
Boomer was about to say something but Blossom squeezed his arm.
“Hes not feeling well and I’m sending him home.” Blossom stated.
“You were fine this morning.” Brick narrowed his eyes. “Buttercup said you ditched class.”
“He didn’t ditch. Some of us have emotions and right now Boomer is not feeling too well, he can explain on his own time but as his now older sister, I am making him go home and rest.”
“What she said.” Boomer said just as he yawned.
Brick rolled his eyes and shrugged. “Fine, go home.”
Boomer gave him a small smile.
“Go on ahead, I’ll meet you in the office.” Blossom said as Boomer walked ahead.
“Is he really sick?” Brick asked and she could sense that he was really worried.
“I wouldn’t say that but its also not my place. Just go easy on him, he's having a hard time right now and I think having his brother help him through it would be good for both of you.” She reassured him.
“Alright, whatever. I’ll make sure Boomer is fine.”
Blossom smiled and kissed him quickly on the cheek. “You're so sweet.” She gushed dramatically.
Bricks face flushed slightly as he took her hand and tried to hide his smirk. “Yeah. Yeah. Let’s not be late to chemistry.”
“Would love too but I have to go use my puff powers to get my new little brother home.”
“Little brother?” Brick shook his head. “What are you adopting him next?”
“I just might.” She smiled. “I’ll see ya in class.” She winked as she headed towards the office.
She found Boomer sitting in one of the chairs. “If you could stop canoodling with my brother, I would like to leave, I got a massive headache and my face is a disaster from crying.”
“We weren’t canoodling.” She said under her breath as she went up to the office lady.
Boomer sat and watched as she talked. He felt better by a landslide since she came to help him and hearing her refer to him as a little brother made him a little more happy then he cared to admit. Watching Blossom talk and win over the woman made him smile as he hugged his arms together.
“Yeah, big sis would be nice.” He said to himself but he didn't miss the way her lips turned up into a small smile.

A Purely Brutal Halloween
I know it’s not Halloween, but I found this in my WIP stuff, and I decided to share. If anything, I recall Joseph belonging to Bleachedpages and I don’t recall their other blog. They are Birdy on Discord, though! If anyone knows them and wants to show them!
I think this was one of the ones I was proud of but also nervous of. SO! Here goes. c:
Halloween was on its way, which meant the crisp fall colors, teeth-rotting candy, and the ever present pumpkin smashing that would ensue. For the BIO team, it meant heading home to loved ones, perhaps even taking any children trick-or-treating... if they had any, that is. For Artemis, it meant going home to feed his cats and pets, followed by visiting Joseph. Perhaps he'd bring him out pumpkin shopping... Maybe. Artemis stepped out of the base, feeling the cool morning air hit his face. The forest around them was full of bright leaves, all within the beautiful fire colors of fall. The crisp scent caused him to sigh in delight, deeming to pick up some apple cider for the Pure Spy. His boots moved toward his car, which he entered and drove into town. His eyes gazed upon the multitude of costumes, and he wondered just how much he could pursuade Joseph into wearing one. The man was so.. different from the Brutal, however. Yet, he wondered if Joseph would have some fun when he got there. His eyes planted on a store, well.. mega-mall. Deciding that was the best place to find some candy and costumes, he wandered inside. It'd been a while since he'd been here and sought out the bookstore first. There was plenty of new books, which he felt he had to add to his growing library. This was followed by hitting the arts store for book making materials, something he did in his spare time. But the biggest place he hit was a halloween store, seeking out something for both himself and Joseph. Something he felt both the spy would like and he would feel comfortable in. Eyeing the costumes, he came across several angel based ones; finally setting his eyes upon the mechanical wings, which spread at the push of a button. This would be perfect for the Pure spy! He pondered about for a moment, seeking out anything he'd enjoy. Seeing nothing, he decided that perhaps it'd be better if he hand made both costumes.
With the idea of the wings in mind, he hit up the craft store again and bought some real feathers. Next was the stop to the supermarket, which he bought his favorite chocolate, chose out steaks and potatoes for he and Joseph, followed by candles that changed colors as they melted. Blacks and oranges for Halloween! The candles would be the center piece in each window, castng the eerie glow upon the rooms. This was followed by a few more decorations and some cider for the two. Who needed wine when warm apple cider was to be had? Artemis then began his way home, seeking out a simple way to get there and arrive on time to surprise Joseph. He trusted the man now to give him a key to his home and have him feed his pets when on the job, yet Artemis felt he owed it to Joseph to atleast get him something! The home was empty, something the man was used to. He headed to his library, placed the books on the shelf, then moved outside to a barn along the pathway into the woods. It was there he set to work on the wings. He molded metal, fused wires, and added the feathers; studying his white raven's wings in order to gain some form of understanding on how to place each individual feather. The outside he painted gold, which the inside was given a varinish to shine in the sunlight, followed by a white glow for the night hours. Testing the wings, he felt satisfied with his work and glanced at the clock. It was near three A.M. And Artemis realized he'd forgotten about dinner and Joseph! Hurrying with the wings back to his home, he made his way inside. There, he was greeted by Joseph, who took in the grime coated man and the wings which he struggled to hide behind his back. “Hey, Joseph..” Artemis spoke with a shakey breath, “I.. er.. sorry, I was working a tad... too late.” “I see,” Joseph spoke calmly, “May I ask what the wings are for?” “Er..” He paused, “Oh! Just a project I'm working on! Don't worry about it. Just something silly..” It was partially a lie. It was indeed a project, but not silly. It was important to Artemis. Very important. Joseph's grey eyes settled upon the man. He knew he was lying, and watched as Artemis squirmed under the piercing gaze. Quickly, Artemis removed his black jacket and placed it over the wings as he finally revealed several scars upon his arms and neck. Many that looked like battle wounds. Recent and red as they healed. “Artemis..” Joseph spoke, his tone a bit stricter than Artemis was accustomed to. “Alright, Alright,” Artemis raised his hands and pulled the jacket off of the wings; hanging it by a peg in the doorway, “They're for.. a friend. Someone special in my life. I want to repay them.. and well..” He glanced at the finished project, “Truth be told, Joseph.. they're for you. For Halloween..” “Artemis..” Joseph was going to scold him when he heard the second part, “You... you really didn't have to..” He moved over to inspect the wings. It had such intricute detail when it came to the feathers, each placed in their proper place so that they looked like real wings. He even jumped back when they spread, the varnish doing it's job as it shined within the light. “I don't.. really celebrate Halloween,” Joseph spoke, voice soft, “But thank you.. Perhaps I will this year.” “I know people always have their kids dressed up as monsters and demons.. but.. I thought.. maybe you'd enjoy being something that.. well suited you.” “I am but a humble servent of the Almighty,” Joseph responded, “You know this, Artemis.” “I know, but.. I thought.. maybe.. I dunno.” He gave a small smile, “As I tell you when you say that.. 'Even servents have their rewards.'”
This was somehing that seemed to happen whenever they spoke with gifts. Joseph had gotten something for the Brutal as well. Holding out the package, he gave a small smile, “I thought you'd appreciate this.” The Brutal gingerly opened the paper, fearful he'd tear the beauty of such a simple brown paper. He then looked at the book in awe, fingers tracing over the cover. “I've wanted this since I was a boy..” He spoke softly, “T.S. Elliot... I could never find any of his works in the store.. never. I..” He gave a small smile, fingers running over the pristine edges as if they'd be destroyed within an instant. “Thanks, Mate,” He spoke, then moved to grab the candles. “Artemis,” Joseph began, “Are you going to court me again?” “Nah,” Artemis responded, “These are for the windows. For Halloween and all.” He then moved to make the very late dinner, handing a small bag of chocolate to Joseph. The chocolate was not the ones he had prior. In fact, they were shaped like bunnies, seashells, and other animals. Joseph eyed them, then took a bite. Such delicious belgian chocolate seeped through his tastebuds and he gave a small murmur of how good it was. Artemis chuckled, noting that the spy made dinner already. Eyebrow raised, he glanced at Joseph. He supposed he should thank him again, but instead gave a yawn. He didn't realize how tired he was. Any thoughts about decorating the house would have to wait. He needed to eat and sleep, so, with that thought in mind; he began to eat the prepared meal. Eventually, however, his eyes drooped and his head dropped into the mashed potatoes, coating them in their fluffy whiteness. Joseph watched for a moment, then gave a small chuckle. Quickly, he scolded himself and picked the man up. Far heavier and bigger than he, Joseph made it to Artemis' bedroom. He'd never seen the interior, but now he had.. Pictures of birds, people, and family covered the man's desk. On the walls hung his team, people he knew, and his boyhood. Joseph glanced at them, then decided to ask later. Grabbing a wet cloth, he cleaned Artemis' face and shook his head. Gingerly, he felt the gloved hand wrap around his suit, grey eyes filled with surprise as Artemis pulled him into bed, the sniper still snoring away as he did so. The Brutal pushed his face into Joseph and gave a small happy snort. “Brother,” He spoke in his sleep, “I love ya.. P-Papa..yer warm..” Joseph sighed, then pulled a blanket onto the sniper, followed by one around himself, letting his head hit the pillow. Friends often slept in the same bed, so Joseph felt there was no harm. And somewhere in him, he knew the Almighty had no problems with this sleep over at all. Slowly, the grey eyes shut and Joseph fell asleep; drifting off into the pleasant world of dreamland.

Lamia Bonding #15: That Happened
Warning: Mentions of scars and abuse.
---
It was, once again, time for a shopping day. Valerie didn’t like to go shopping once a week, since it took so long to drive into the nearest town, so she put it off to once a month. Unlike last time, she was much more knowledgeable on how to handle her boys when it came to being gone for a long time. They knew she would be going out the next day when she cleaned out the fridge and cabinets, tossing out what none of them ate and making a list of what everyone wanted. Sangria and Marmalade didn’t seem anxious about her leaving but she had known that Currant was basically dying inside over her possibly leaving him behind again.
“Make sure you’re ready to go tomorrow, Currant,” she told him, knowing he had trouble asking still. Valerie pretended not to see the way that he perked up. “The sooner we leave the quicker we can get back home.”
“don’ need ta tell me twice,” Currant grumbled.
Her decision to bring him along while leaving the larger boys to guard the house proved to be a wise one because Currant was more than enough to keep anyone else at bay. She’d gotten so used to having such sweet boys in her life that she often forgot Currant and Sangria were venomous in the first place. And Lapis was so small that he didn’t come off as very threatening to people who saw him, being that Corny were pretty common and the only type she saw more than them were Papythons. Valerie had initially thought Corals wouldn’t raise many eyebrows but she was given an immediate wide berth for just having Currant at her side.
Sure, he was venomous and could deliver a nasty bite if he wanted but he was her sweet boy before all that.
“People are so dumb,” Valerie told the two of them, flopping on a bench. It was early enough that she was able to get in some exercise for the lazier boys before they got down to the shopping. Anyone who thought Currant didn’t sit in the cart obviously didn’t know him well, he’d even made sure a blanket was brought so he wouldn’t get cold.
“fuck people,” Currant agreed, delighted when his cursing earned the scandalized glare from a couple of old ladies walking by.
Honestly, Valerie imagined having Currant with her is how mothers must feel when they had more than one kid. He would insist on sitting in the cart, which meant she wouldn’t have as much room in it for whatever she needed at the store, so she would be carting around two carts instead of one. It wasn’t a deal-breaker or anything that would make her consider rehoming him but she sometimes wished there were other monsters that she could adopt that would be able to push a cart alongside her. You know, without having five feet of tail trailing along behind them. Because Val refused to get a human roommate and she definitely didn’t want a child or anything in that vein.
“ya got an audience, val.”
Lapis’s voice in her ear pulled Valerie from her musings. She looked in the direction his hands pulled a lock of her hair towards. Indeed, she didn't have an audience. A little boy that couldn’t have been past 13 (she had trouble judging the ages of kids but he was pretty small) and hidden half behind him was the first full-sized Pygmy she’d ever seen. But her SOUL damn near cracked at the sorry state of the little guy. Sangria and Marmalade both had cracks in their skulls from running off predators around the house but this was the first time she’d seen a city-dwelling lamia have any hint of injury. And it was a huge crack that ran straight through his left socket, an injury that must have been so traumatic at some point the light had never returned to his socket after he healed.
Her first instinct was to get angry at the kid but it was obvious that wouldn’t go over very well.
“Hey lil’ guy,” she crooned, paying no mind to the human child and focusing on the Pygmy. He was nothing like the ones she’d seen at the adoption center, timid and quiet, and even Currant seemed at a loss.
“Uh… hi,” the kid squeaked, nervously wringing his hands and looking around. Warning bells were going off in Valerie’s head, along with the feeling she should have been looking for cameras. This stuff only happened in movies, right? “So, so I saw you have a couple lamia. And… and I wondered if you wanted another one?”
Did she hear alarm bells or a whole alarm siren blaring in her ears? Sure, you could adopt a lamia for free from a center and, if you appeared nice enough, there wasn’t really a process to see who would take the best care of them once they left the center but this was a stretch. Not a lot of parents wanted to get a lamia for their kid so when you saw a child that did have a lamia they tended to be best buddies. These two did not look like buddies.
Closer inspection revealed that the Pygmy had a leash on, hidden beneath a tattered bandana that looked like he’d never gotten a new one. He looked incredibly underweight too. Pygmy weren’t the largest lamia (they were, in fact, the smallest) but they usually didn’t look like a stiff breeze would dust them either. Known for their energy, they didn’t get chubby but they at least kept their magic health up. Valerie was looking at one sick little Pygmy, face flushed under her scrutiny and scales dull from lack of proper care.
Stars above, did he have old scales stuck on him?
“Listen, kid,” Valerie huffed, unable to contain the frown. “You don’t just beg your mommy and daddy to adopt for you and then decide you don’t want them anymore.”
“I didn’t ask them to get him,” the kid blurted, his loud voice making the Pygmy flinch and shuffle towards Currant. As if the little lamia needed protection from a child. “Mom needed to work more and she didn’t want to pay a babysitter… so, she… she…”
“Are you shitting me?”
Under different circumstances, Valerie might have felt bad about swearing in front of a child but that, that was a disgusting reason to get a lamia! A free babysitter? In a sick way, it made some kind of sense. Pygmy had an overabundance of energy that would be useful in keeping up with children and they had a high drive to complete tasks, they were very good at playing with kids and other pets. But they were small. And nothing could force a child to respect a Pygmy the same way they would a human babysitter, who would have the authority needed to put them in line. The sweet nature of a Pygmy would be too easy for them to run roughshod over, which would get the Pygmy in trouble with whatever demons acted as parents.
The scar the lamia had suddenly seemed a lot worse.
“Who hurt him, then?” She was determined she would learn who had done damage to the lamia if nothing else. “Because I may not be able to punch a child but if it was your mom or dad I will punch someone in the kidney.”
“badass.”
“heh.”
Currant and Lapis already knew that Valerie would gladly throw hands to protect any of them but she was threatening a good bite more harm.
“Um, it was my kid brother. He tried to put a hand in Pygmy’s socket and then smacked him with a toy truck…”
“OK, kid, what the fuck?!”
Currant and Lapis did not find this funny. She couldn’t see the way their eye lights went out and how they stared at the kid. The poor Pygmy knew they were talking about him and attempted to cover his face with a whine. Val didn’t have a maternal bone in her body when it came to humans but she absolutely would fight a bitch over a small skeleton being sad.
“Oh, baby, I’m not mad at you,” she soothed. “Who could be mad at such a cute boy?”
Her experience with Pygmy was an absolute zero but Valerie did have some idea of what might ease an anxious lamia. Currant could be anxious as well and she’d gotten pretty good at helping him feel at ease.
“Can you repeat after me, sweetie?” Valerie asked, getting down to her knees beside Currant. She waited until the Pygmy nodded, but Currant and Lapis were both watching her as well. “Say, ‘Nobody is mad at me.’”
The Pygmy didn’t say anything, looking at the kid who was willing to hand him off without a second thought. Well now, that wouldn’t do.
Apparently, her boys could suddenly read minds.
“nobody ‘s mad at me.”
“no body to be mad at.”
Leave it to Lapis to get the reaction, even if it wasn’t what she had hoped for. The Pygmy in question huffed in a very disapproving way but he was smiling now, showing off his little fangs. His one good eye light seemed to focus with laser intensity and suddenly he realized that neither of the boys she had with her looked at all anxious or unhealthy. In fact, bringing Currant and Lapis worked in her favor because they both had a healthy amount of chub on their tails and scales that glittered in the light. They were perfectly happy individuals.
He may not have vocalized what she said but he zoomed into her belly, bowling her over. She hit her back on the grass with a little ‘oomph’. When she looked up, the kid was gone.
Well, looks like she would have a lot of explaining to do when she got home.
--
Despite what Valerie wanted to do, she couldn’t just drop her planned day of shopping to go home empty-handed when she was supposed to be appeasing her boys. And rewarding all the good behavior. So she simply resigned herself to dealing with Currant and the new addition while she tried to convince herself that she shouldn’t name the Pygmy. Once she named him she just knew that he wouldn’t be leaving her, no matter how any of her boys reacted to the news. In typical fashion, he was an absolute darling who made himself incredibly useful as soon as he’d realized they were going to the store.
It was adorable to have such a tiny helper.
He couldn’t push a cart by himself but he was perfectly willing to grab things on the lower shelves so she could add them to the basket. It was too cute, how eager he was to shop with her, but Val didn’t blame him one bit. After who knows how long as a live-in babysitter he needed the change of pace, and he was an amazing assistant. His energy was similar to a shrunken down, much sweeter tempered version of Sangria. The little guy was still incredibly nervous around children, she noticed, but Val avoided children herself so it didn’t become an issue.
The nonfood shopping was done first because she could put a lot of those items in with Currant, but as they were going towards the food she spotted the most adorable little scarf. It wasn’t meant for lamia, clearly meant for a child, but it was a very pretty shade of blue and she was weak to the way the Pygmy’s eyes had zeroed in on it. His bandana was ruined and he would look just adorable with a little scarf done up properly.
And it matched a pair of gloves she’d seen online that would make him the cutest little thing ever.
Being an adult with no self-control, she bought the scarf and a new shirt, very aware of the dilated eye lights staring up at her.
She was going to keep him, it was an inevitable fact she’d been foolishly lying to herself about.
“Admiral,” she murmured, getting his attention by pointing towards the candy on the lower shelves. “Warheads, please. And a bag of your favorite.”
The poor Pygmy looked confused. His previous family hadn’t even given him a name, choosing to just call him his lamia type instead, so she maintained her patience and repeated his new name. Admiral beamed at her, zipping around in delighted circles, and she finally got to hear the excited babble she’d been looking for. His name on repeat. When it came to the Warheads he had no trouble grabbing a bag but after that, he seemed to just… freeze?
Oh the poor baby, had he never been given candy before?
“Clearly I should find your previous abusers and have some strong words,” she muttered darkly. “We’ll get you one of the multi-packs, so you can try a little of everything.”
She was finally treated to the way he buzzed in place from excitement and it was cute. Sure, getting a Pygmy hadn’t been her original plan because they were a lot higher energy than she was and she had worried that it wouldn’t provide a good environment to live in. Not to mention her property was massive and a Pygmy would be easy pickings for some things that had lived in the woods. She wasn’t worried now because Sangria and Marmalade made sure that the woods were safe. And Sangria wouldn’t have to share his toys, she had a collection of stuff that was saved in a wishlist that she would finally have an excuse to buy.
The moment the second cart was filled to bursting she knew it was time to skedaddle on out of there. Valerie picked Admiral up off the ground and perched him upon her hip until he grabbed on, not wanting him to get lost or trampled on. Lifting him off the ground had the added benefit of allowing him to help move things out of the cart and onto the conveyer.
“My hero,” she told him when he beamed at her.
“Uh… your Coral won’t bite, will it?”
Valerie sighed, the weight of ignorance weighing upon her shoulders. Her day had been so stressful already that she had absolutely zero patience for discrimination of any sort.
“Listen, Linda,” she snarked, “just because he’s venomous does not mean he’s going to leap across the counter and rip your jugular out. He’s an absolute gem. So please, continue to just do your job and leave Currant alone.”
The poor (probably barely 19) cashier was quick to keep any other comments to herself. The rest of their interaction went by in silence and then she was left with trying to figure out how to get all this stuff to the car. What had been two carts was now three, obviously because nobody could figure out the same puzzle she’d done to pack the carts in the first place. That, and the cashier had avoided putting anything in the cart with Currant.
“Stars help me.”
With all the maturity of someone twice her age, Valerie looked the cashier in the eye and encouraged her Coral (who had been so well behaved the whole time) to coil around her. She looked like a lunatic with three lamia weighing her down but nothing would prevent her from making idiots look like idiots.
“Be glad I’m not venomous,” she deadpanned as she turned on her heel to walk out.
Apparently, it was sass day.
Walking with Currant and Admiral clinging to her was a unique challenge. They weren’t heavy to carry around so she wasn’t straining under excess weight but they were incredibly awkward to have on her when she was attempting to push one cart and pull another. She managed but it was quite the struggle.
Currant had gotten his exercise slithering around the park but it was nice that he would help put the bags into the back of the van. And Admiral was an awesome helper. Between the three of them, it was easy to get all the bags out of the cart and into the van. Such assistance couldn’t go without reward so she pulled out some candy for Admiral to try and gave Currant his favorite chips to munch on.
Lapis woke up for a snack, delightfully getting crumbs all over her neck and shoulder.
Valerie hadn’t been anxious in the store but as soon as she started the drive home she found her nerves were completely shot. Marmalade would accept her decision but she worried how Sangria might react. On one hand, he would have someone to play with but she didn’t know if he would see it that way. He still had a ways to go before he could be comfortable asking for things without having to seem enraged that she hadn’t read his mind.
Her worries weren’t unfounded. Sangria went still the moment he saw the new lamia, a warning hiss rattling from his ribs. Admiral was small but he didn’t seem to cower in the face of a Mamba’s ire. It was a tense stand-off until Valerie finally had enough and shooed the irate Mamba away.
“If you’re not gonna help you can go.”
“Rude,” Sangria barked back, swatting at her hands when she tried to grab some bags for herself. “We will be talking about this.”
Well, it was tame as far as Mamba threats went.

hey there demons it’s me, ya boi | connor & nell
TIMING: present. LOCATION: nell’s greenhouse. PARTIES: @connorspiracy and @nelllraiser. SUMMARY: connor meets with nell for some demon talk, but gets a little more than was expected.
Ever since the coven had excommunicated Nell and her sisters, she saw no particular reason to be as secretive about her dealings with demons as she once had been. Of course, she wasn’t going to shout it from the mountaintops, but if someone was already in on the supernatural and wasn’t a threat, the witch saw no need to hide her knowledge. Who knew, maybe if more people knew about her familiarity with demons, less of them would mess with her and her family. As for Connor, she didn’t see any harm in discussing demons with an exorcist. Besides, it’d be interesting to see if he had any things to share of his own. She’d met the young man at the perimeter of the property, knowing that the reanimated corpse that Bea brought to life wouldn’t be happy if an unknown person entered the premises without the escort of a Vural. “Hey!” she waved an arm in greeting, waiting to lead Connor towards her greenhouse. “Are you ready to see the lair of demons?” Her tone was joking, obviously having nothing of the sort. Well...she supposed Greg’s doghouse might be considered a lair, but there was only one demon in there. Not demons, plural.
Connor followed the directions to Nell’s home, examining it from the outside. It was nice. Spacious, modern but with a woodsy kind of feel, well-maintained. He parked his car at the front, following her inside. “Lair of demons. Great band name,” he teased with a crooked smirk, following her to the greenhouse. “You know I feel like, as an exorcist, I’m supposed to be super against this, but I have loads to learn about demonology still…” Connor was no stranger to doing things he wasn’t exactly supposed to. The whole concept of a YouTube exorcist was enough to put the community on-edge. Might as well go and talk to the girl who kept demons in her back garden. “So is it like a butterfly room, but a greenhouse full of demons?” he asked, only half-joking.
“I’ve got dibs on it,” Nell instantly teased back with her own smirk-like grin. “I’m glad you found the place, though.” Sometimes it was hard for people to navigate the Outskirts, especially if they weren’t White Crest natives. “I mean, you can make your own rules, can’t you?” There was an air of levity to the words, as if she may or may not be serious on the matter. But in the end, who was to say what the rules were for magic? Ghost or otherwise? Her newly estranged coven had tried their hand at that, and failed spectacularly in her eyes. “And it’s always good to have the knowledge, isn’t it? But you said you’ve met a couple demons or so?” she asked as she swung open the door of the greenhouse, it opening to her specific touch on the door handle. As they entered, the plants were as ordinary as any other greenhouse, flowering and flourishing in abundance. It was only as you went deeper that more supernatural things began to pop up. “Oh yeah, this is where I keep all the flying ones,” she joked easily, wondering how much he might believe such a claim.
“You can keep it,” he snickered. Connor had his brand name anyway. The dumb name he’d come up with for his youtube account when he was a teenager. It was a little silly, but he liked it. He could feel the magic in the air around them. There was something intangible about the place, something in addition to the actual, physical demons. He turned his head as a lanky old man with grey skin and dead eyes walked past, not even looking at him. He stared curiously as the man walked away, doing slow laps around the house. “Flying monkeys, like the Wizard of Oz?” Now that would be something. “I mean, I specialise in ghosts. I’ve met a demon or two though.” Like, the total beginner versions, but there was no need to advertise that fact. “What are you, some kind of demonologist?”
“Good, because I would have kicked your butt for it,” Nell continued to joke, no actual threat in her tone and voice. As Bea’s reanimated corpse, Corpsey, walked by— Nell tried to pay him no mind. Maybe if she didn’t say anything about him, Connor wouldn’t either. After all, she hadn’t expressly told him that she was a witch. Of course, all the demon talk wasn’t exactly something that spoke of a regular human, and her familiar in the form of an Ovinikk named Taki letting himself into the greenhouse wasn’t exactly...normal cat behaviour. But she was happy to ignore that all for the moment. Still, she couldn’t resist poking some fun within the confines of his Wizard of Oz analogy. “Exactly like the Wizard of Oz. I’m actually the Wicked Witch of the West. My green skin’s just hidden under some body paint at the moment. Don’t look at me too closely,” she teased. “But okay, what kinds of demons?” As for whether or not she was a demonologist… Nell shrugged as a part of her answer. “I just know a lot about demons is all.”
Kicking Connor’s butt wouldn’t have been hard. He preferred to talk his way out of situations, but he opted not to say anything about it, his eyes instead following the wrinkly-skinned old man as he walked the perimeter of the property. “Oh, um…” He took a moment to answer her question, having to tear his eyes away from the corpse-man and the weird cat. “A few basic ones. Bannik, Badalisc, Alp, and then just the basic non-specific kind, but not that powerful.” Since she’d asked a more leading question, he wasn’t going to outright lie about his prowess. In the days of pulling receipts, he knew it would just bite him in the arse later. “You have a dog?” he asked, eyes drawn to the kennel. “Can I pet him?”
Nell tried to keep her expression neutral as she did her best to mentally shoo Corpsey away. Get out of here, old man! Go be a knock off zombie somewhere else! Of course, it was no use. He couldn’t hear her, and even if he could, he wouldn’t care. After all, since Bea was the one who raised him, she was the one he took orders from. She had to tell Connor something, though. The walking corpse could possibly pass a human, but there was certainly something...off about him to the naked eye. “Oh, don’t worry about him- that’s just Uncle…” Uncle who? “-Cory.” Cory and Corpsey. Good enough. “He’s harmless, but nosy. Probably just wondering why I invited a guy into the greenhouse. He’s a little overprotective,” she added with a light chuckle, and the slightest air of flirtation. Maybe that’d be enough to distract Connor. “But nice! Thankfully those guys don’t usually cause actual death. Were you here when giant Cthulhu Squidward wanted to make the town his own personal Hellscape, though?” She followed his gaze towards Greg’s wooden and spacious doghouse that was just a stone’s throw outside her greenhouse. “Uhhhhh,” she hesitated, deciding how much she should tell Connor. “Well that is actually home to one of the demons,” she finished with a chuckle, figuring telling him about Greg couldn’t hurt. “He prefers eating hands over being pet by them in the beginning.”
“Right,” Connor answered skeptically. “Uncle Cory.” Sure. Why not? Didn’t they all have uncles with grey, decaying skin who walked around in a daze? He gave a lighthearted snicker at her excuse, flashing her a grin. “What, so you don’t normally invite blokes over to the greenhouse? Should I be flattered?” As an exorcist, he was distrusting of demons, but not fully experienced enough to have seen the extent of the horror they could bring. Probably why he was not only inquisitive and curious about Nell’s life, but actually having fun. “No, I missed Squid-thing, and lobster-thing, and fish-rain thing. From what I know about this place though, it’s not long before something else crazy happens.” His gaze was still longingly on the kennel. “A demon dog?!” He was heartbroken. “So… no petting? That’s just cruel.”
“Exactly,” Nell replied brightly, trying to continue down the road of innocence as Connor repeated the name. It didn’t seem like he really bought it, but at least her attempts to draw his attention away from the corpse with a bit of a flirt seemed to be doing something. “I don’t know,” she teased back with her head coquettishly tilted to the side, a small smirk on her lips. “Do you want to be flattered?” So he hadn’t been here for the squid demon. That was probably for the best. After all, it hadn’t exactly been a fun time. “Damn, you really missed out. There was calamari for days by the end of it.” It was true what he said about White Crest, though. There was always something going on in the not-so-sleepy town. It was endearing how excited he seemed by the prospect of a demon dog, though. “Well...petting Greg probably isn’t the best idea just yet. But I have a different demon dog you could pet.” She rolled up one of her sleeves, revealing both the mottled, patchwork scars that covered the entirety of her arms as well as one of her sigil tattoos.
“I’m always flattered when I get compliments from a pretty girl,” Connor answered, his dumb, innocent charm somehow managing to make the line not entirely cringe-worthy. “Especially when she shows me her demons.” He scrunched up his face at the thought of the sky fish falling down around them. “Don’t reckon I’d want to eat that kind of calamari, or giant horse-sized lobster that tried to kill me, although, that would be a pretty sweet victory feast,” he teased. His eyes widened like a kid at Disneyland as the mentioned another demon dog. “Really? Where?” She started to pull up her sleeves. Oh no. It better not have been burned into her flesh or a Quirrel-Voldemort situation. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw she was drawing attention to her tattoo. “What does that do? It looks mystical.”
The corners of Nell’s lips turned upwards in the beginnings of a smirk, amused that he’d somehow managed to pull off the line. “Well it looks like you’re on track for possibly getting more with an attitude like that. Careful though- I might think you’re just using me for my demons,” she finished playfully. A small chuckle was pulled from her before she moved on to talk of meals that may or may not have once tried to kill her and the inhabitants of the town. “That’s the point! It’s the best victory feast! What’s that line about revenge being a dish best served cold? This is revenge literally served as a dish.” Should she tell him about the magic now? Or just let him figure it out himself when three fully grown hellhounds sprang from her arm? The latter definitely had a larger possibility of having some laugh factor, so she opted for that. “It’s a sigil,” she replied with a twinkle in the corner of her eye. Then she was biting her thumb until it bled, and swiping it over the tattoo along with a few muttered words of Latin. Almost instantly, the three demon dogs formed from the magic, excited to have been Summoned.
Connor gave a little laugh. Nell was proving to be pretty good company. “Using you? Not at all. In fact I’d probably get a good belting from most other exorcists for not expelling them back to hell or whatever.” He waved his hands in a playful spooky motion as he spoke. “Call me old-fashioned, but I just don’t trust food that falls out of the sky.” His eyes widened as she bit down on her thumb, but he knew better than most that some rituals required blood. He usually just used a small knife rather than his teeth, though. He kept his eyes on her, watching carefully, and when the hounds appeared, he yelped, almost tripping over a watering can and some potted plants in his rush to get out of the way. This was it. This was how he died; mauled to death by hell-dogs in a greenhouse.
The coy air that Nell had been employing continued to hang around her as she gave the young man in front of her a sly smile. “Wow- you’re really putting yourself out there for me, aren’t you?” The words had an underlying tone of sarcasm as a means of teasing, knowing full well it wasn’t for her benefit. Then she shifted back into a more informative mode. “Yeah, some people call it hell. It’s sort of like...its own separate dimension for them. Like another world you can just yoink them from or yeet them back to. I can’t believe you’re so unwilling to live on life’s edge when it comes to sky food, though.” Had she eaten anything that came from the sky? Definitely not. But it was fun to joke about. The first thing the witch registered was some of her plants almost getting trampled, and a frown was quick to her lips. “Watch out!” she chastised disapprovingly. But then she noticed just how alarmed Connor was, and her hands were quick to come up in a calming motion. “Hey- hey! It’s alright! They’re not gonna hurt you!” As if to prove a point, the friendliest of the hounds, Scooby, padded forwards- considering Connor with a slightly cocked head, ears perked in his direction. “He’ll let you pet him, if you want.”
Connor didn’t scare easily. It was kind of a necessity to have a thick skin when you dealt with demons and spirits almost every day, but bloody hell, Nell had managed to scare the life out of him. “You’re lucky I’m wearing dark trousers,” he teased, finally letting himself laugh as the air seemed to return to his lungs. Now that he knew they weren’t about to play with him like a chew toy, they were actually kind of… cute. “Aw.” He approached, cautiously, hand outstretched. “Hello…” He’d definitely rather be petting a golden retriever, but this was good too. “Where did you get them? How does it work?” He cocked his head, looking over at her tattoo. “You owe me a really good story for almost making me shit my pants. Maybe even a drink. Or some dinner.” He smiled at her coyly.
Nell snickered a little at the mention of his trousers before saying, “Aww- was the big, bad exorcist a little frightened? Maybe my uncle was wrong to be worried about you in the greenhouse.” The words were meant in good fun, just as the rest of her teases had been. As Connor offered a hand, Scooby sniffed at it and eagerly nosed pressed to the palm of his hand as he searched the young man. “He’s looking for treats,” Nell clarified in a gentler voice, one that was generally reserved for the creatures she worked with. “There’s a jar next to you with some bits of meat in it if you wanna give them to him.” She wouldn’t say exactly what kind of meat it was. “I first Summoned Scooby- the one sniffing you- when I was sixteen. You know- with magic. He wasn’t nearly as wanting to be friendly back then but- he got used to me after I worked with him a lot. Then he brought his brothers along one day,” she said gesturing to the other two hounds. “This one’s Shaggy,” she said, pointing to the largest of the lot who was beginning to approach Connor as well, “and this is Scrappy.” The last of the hounds was positioned quite seriously next to Nell, considering the exorcist with an eye that seemed to be deciding whether he’d be a nice snack or not. In a moment her own flirting grin was back on her lips. “Well seeing as it wasn’t that great of a story…” she started, as if she were mulling the thought over. “I could maybe find the time for a drink.”
“I’ll have you know I’m neither big nor bad,” Connor chuckled, self-deprecating. Five-foot-eight accompanied by a slight build and a baby face didn’t exactly strike fear into most people’s hearts. The posh accent and floppy hair, neither. He tried not to piss himself while the hound sniffed at him, and followed Nell’s instructions, tossing him some treats, which got the others pretty interested in Connor too. “I knew there were witches and warlocks and stuff, but I’ve never seen one with… this.” He gestured to the creatures around them, and Uncle Corpsy as he made another pass around the greenhouse. He wasn’t ashamed to admit that this kind of power was both intriguing and attractive. “Well then, love, name the time and place.”
A chuckle fell from Nell as Connor joked at his own expense, and she could appreciate his ability to not take himself too seriously. “My mistake, I guess you just look taller in your videos,” she decided to poke a bit more fun at him. She hadn’t seen tons of them, but after he’d shown her his YouTube channel she’d been curious enough to watch some of the videos. They were interesting to say the least, especially since she didn’t know all that much about spirits or ghosts. Shaggy and Scooby were all too ready to accept treats from Connor, but Nell made sure that Scrappy stayed alongside her, scooping up some separate treats for the smallest of the hellhounds. He was generally the most aggressive, and she wasn’t keen on taking any chances at the moment. Her lips twitched into another smile as he mentioned witches, and nodded in confirmation of that word. “To be fair...Uncle Corbin isn’t mine.” The words were colored with amusement. Apparently the ‘uncle’ ruse hadn’t stuck. But she wouldn’t openly out her sisters that also lived here as witches. Most people simply assumed that the three of them were after finding out that one was a witch, but that was Bea’s and Luce’s business. But a time and place? The words made it sound like more of an actual date to Nell, and she wasn’t sure she wanted one of those. But she was probably overthinking it, and went with the first words out of her mouth. “Dell’s is always good. Or- actually, have you been to The Seven Selkies, yet? It’s got a fun supernatural crowd.”
“Yeah, yeah. Hard to tell how tall someone is when they’re in frame by themselves,” Connor snickered, pulling out his vape (probably bad form to smoke actual cigarettes in someone’s greenhouse). He gave her the kind of smile that said he didn’t exactly believe her when she talked about Uncle Corbin, but he wasn’t going to directly challenge her on it. “The Seven Selkies sounds great.”

The Sparda Family's Pet
Chapter #01
It was another normal day for you. You woke up in your dingy old mattress and dust-covered room. You lived in an abandoned building so this was normal for you to say the least. You had been given away to an orphanage at birth but as soon as you turned 18, you were kicked out and was forced to live on your own accord. You had nowhere to go so you wandered around a bit and eventually came across the oh so lovely, almost falling apart building.
You yawn loudly and stretch your limbs then throw your legs off the bed to sit up slowly. The light from the window across from your bed, temporarily blinding you as you stand and start to make your way over to the small dresser where you stuffed all your belongings in, which wasn't much, just a few changes of clothes and some miscellaneous objects. You take out a new pair of clothes for the day, you wonder what and how you were going to eat today. You didn't have money and without that, you were either left with dumpster food or stealing whatever you could and you were definitely going with the latter. You continued your daily morning routine and once finished, you left your little and barely standing paradise and headed into town where you'd hopefully find breakfast.
While walking, you spotted a man in a leather jacket swiftly following quite an attractive young lady with brown hair and glasses. You hummed to yourself and continued on, barely even acknowledging that the man had some sort of robot arm. After walking quite a bit past the loud couple that were now yelling at each other from behind you and could be heard about a block away, you saw a few small rocks roll past your feet and abruptly stopped. Turning your head left, the direction the rocks came from, you found yourself peering into a dark alleyway that you had failed to notice before. You shuffled your feet a bit nervously because you knew that rocks didn't just go rolling themselves. Swallowing the spit in the back of your throat, you inched closer towards the alleyway. "Hello?" your better judgment being thrown out the window even though you knew you probably should have walked away and not looked back.
A small cough that echoed through the alleyway and a small boy walked into view. He looked hungry and scuffed up. His clothes were dingy and his skin had small cuts everywhere and dirt-caked his face. He had tears brewing in his eyes as he huffed lightly. "Please help me. I'm hungry and have nowhere to go..." You were heartbroken the second he said "hungry" and frowned lightly. You crouched down and got eye level with the boy and beckoned him to come closer. When he finally got close enough for you to reach out and grip his shoulders firmly but not enough to hurt the poor boy, you looked him over to make sure he wasn't hurt too badly and once finished your eyes returned to the boy's face which had contorted into some sort of monstrous-looking being. Your eyes went wide and you screamed loudly which alerted the couple down the block that you had passed. Your breathing quickened as you were face to face with the demon child that had grown a pair of sharp teeth and huge claws. The demon boy coiled his arm back and was getting ready to impale you with his sharp claws when suddenly the man in the dark coat jumped over you and the demon boy. Guns in hands while still in the air, he shot multiple rounds into the back of the demon head causing him to fall forward and nearly landing on you if the brunette from before hadn't pulled you into her chest before so. Blood poured out of the monstrous child's head and pooled at your feet. Your mouth had gone dry as you stared at the deformed and deceitful demon child.
The pretty lady brought her hand up to your face and blinded you by covering your eyes from the horrendous sight. "Nero! Was that really necessary? Right in front of this poor gal?!" The man, apparently called Nero, clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes. "Well if I didn't then she wouldn't be standing there, would she? No. she'd be cabobbed onto the shit's arm and bleeding out." the man sassed the woman in front of him, not really upset or anything, it's just how their relationship kind of works.
While the two bickered, you could feel the creature's blood seep into the holes on the bottoms of your worn-out shoes. You cringed and panted, wanting nothing more than to get out of the bloodied alleyway. She tried to step backward, which only succeeded in getting the pair's attention. "Hey now Nero, we should probably get her outta here, she's probably scarred cause of your dumbass." and with that, she grabbed onto your hand with her other hand that wasn't shielding your vision from the gory sight in front of you and guided you away. When she deemed you both to be a safe distance away from the alley, she removed her hand from your face and smiled down at you. "Well aren't you a cute little thing." she snorted and grinned down at you. You blushed a bit and looked down at your blood-soaked shoes "Thank you..." you mumbled lightly and looked behind you to see how far away you were from the crime scene that just took place, only for you to see the man named Nero instead who was most likely intentionally blocking the view from you.
Nero stared down at you for a few seconds, taking in your appearance before huffing lightly and crossing his arms only to turn his head and look the other way. He sort of had a pink hue on his cheeks but you couldn't tell if he was blushing or if he had any kind of adrenaline rushing after that onslaught. You cleared your throat and began to speak. "Um....thank you for saving me back there. I almost became monster food." you then proceeded to give a small, nervous chuckle. The pair nodded and gave you a "No problem". You were about to say goodbye and go your separate ways until your stomach decided that now would be the perfect time to remind you of the reason you were out and about anyways. Your face began to turn a crimson color as they both chuckled at the sound of your stomach making gurgling noises. "Well, I see no reason to leave a pretty little thing such as yourself out on the streets and hungry. Hop on in the van and ill make ya a good ole breakfast that'll stop all that noise!" the pretty brunette exclaimed loudly and grabbed hold of your hand once again and dragged you into her van. "I'll even cook for ya for free since you're so darn cute!" she said in her raspy voice and gave another little snort. Your blush only seemed to darken at her words and you took a seat at one of the barstools by the kitchen area inside the van. "By the way Darlin, the name's Nico and that there is Nero." she pointed to the male who had killed the demon as he was taking a seat next to you on another bar stool. He looked over at you and gave a small smile and a nod before uttering a simple "Hey" which you returned. "It's nice to meet you both, my name is y/n" you gave both a small smile and continued "Thank you both for saving me".
While Nico was cooking and had most of your attention on her, Nero couldn't help himself but look you over again like he did outside. He found it attractive and after Kyrie broke up with him, claiming she was lesbian and started seeing some girl, he needed something to distract himself from the degrading thoughts he had about himself, claiming that he wasn't good enough for the woman he thought he'd marry. He licked his lips and took in your curves....or wait...curves? The more he looked at you, he could see just how hungry you truly were. You looked so small to him and compared to Nico, you were basically skin and bones. How long have you been in need of food? He also noticed all the holes and how dingy your clothes looked. He frowned and came to the conclusion that you were probably trying your hardest and living out in the streets. "Hey" he spoke up "You live around here?" you turned your attention to the white-haired male and pursed your lips. "Yeah, I live down the road. Two blocks away to be exact." Nero's eyebrows furrowed. "Nico and I just came that way. The only house that way is abandoned and falling apart". After hearing his words, your face turned red once more but not because you were shy but because you were embarrassed he now knew that you lived in some old and dusty building. He noticed that you looked upset at his words and mentally cringed at himself for being too blunt. "Hey there, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset... I just... I don't think you should have to live there is all." Nero then thought about his next words carefully and decided that any punishment he'd get out of this would be worth it. "I was thinking that if you wanted to, you could come live with my uncle, my father and I at my uncle's shop?" he peered down at you with what looked like puppy dog eyes and honestly, who were you kidding, it's not like you were going to say no anyways. You were hungry and living in poor conditions. "I... id be more than happy if you'd let me stay with you guys. I'll help around with your uncle's shop and make sure to pay you guys back in any way possible for letting me stay". Nero blushed at your words and felt his cock twitch in his jeans after hearing that you'd pay them back in any way possible. He bit his lip and looked away "yeah yeah whatever. We'll deal with all that when we get to the shop. While we're here though, do you have any belongings you want to pick up before we head out?" You shook your head no and finally turned your attention back to Nico who had just finished breakfast for everyone.

Keeping a Secret 1/??? (HC Kiddo AU)
First half takes place in season 4, while the end bit taking place in the beginning of season 6. Yes, this is connected to “The oddity at area 77″ TW for: Blood descriptions, slight implied child abuse, Taurtis being the asshole for once.
Putrid, horrible, agonizing, miserable.
These were the words Ren could use to describe the Nether. He disliked everything about the place; the stink of sulfur and brimstone that would stick to him for days, the dim lighting of glowstone and the fire that was scattered along the ground forcing him to constantly use his sharper eyesight, the screams of the damned coming from the mouths of horrid flying creatures as they spat balls of fire at him making him consistently on high alert, everything about the place made him despise going there.
Sure, the others didn't mind it as much as he did; but they didn't have the heightened senses he had to deal with.
There was only a few reasons he felt it worth being there; Quartz, Glowstone, and Blaze rods.
That last one was why he was in the Nether right now. He needed Blaze rods for Blaze powder to get his potion stands working. At first, He had asked Iskall- well, more like begged- for some, but the Swede didn't give in, simply giving him directions to a Nether fortress and telling him to get them himself as politely as possible.
Which promptly meant he chased Ren out of his base with a Cod.
Jabbing his sword through the skull of yet another Wither skeleton, he watched in annoyance as it crumpled to the ground in ashes. The amount of sweat he was covered in gave him the feeling of being in this fortress for hours- maybe even days! While in reality, it had most likely only been 2 or 3 hours but it was still quite a long time without finding Blazes.
He'd really have to work to scrub out the smell this time.
Ren ran his fingers through his hair, undoing it and grumbling softly under his breath as he re-tied it. By now, the smell of brimstone was annoying the hell out of him- clogging his senses and making his eyes water. His eyes roved over the endless expanse of the nether, hoping to spot at least one blaze so he could just leave already.
The sound of an echoing shout made the Lycan's ears perk up, his head snapping towards the sound so fast it almost gave him whiplash.
From across the Lava, he could see a half-bred blaze demon chasing far behind another demon. The grip around the handle of his diamond sword tightened, his adrenaline rushing. As Ren focused on the half-breeds face, something in the eyes of the demon made his stomach drop- his instincts telling him something was just wrong and he needed to hurry.
Sprinting across the Fortress bridge's, Ren didn't slow down as his previous exhaustion was long gone, replaced by increasing paranoia and adrenaline.
Jumping from the fortress, the Lycan landed on the netherrack with a thud before continuing his sprint; quickly catching up to the Blazes. He skidded to a stop as they reached a cliff, jumping behind a cluster of Quartz as a voice spoke up. The half-breed held a golden sword in one hand, his hair a chestnut brown and wearing golden armor. He was bulky and looked to be about Iskall's size- making Ren a bit nervous. He looked to be in his early 20's, having a slight beard that only added onto his similarities to Iskall. His eyes were an unnatural gold, seeming to be blank and soulless.
"This doesn't need to be hard pal; just give up the girl and we'll be on our separate merry ways!"
"Like hell!"
"I will not ask you again!"
Peeking out, he spotted just what the blaze was chasing. A demon stood with his back to the cliffs, tensed in a defensive position. His hair was the color of honey, his skin was pale as the moon, his scerla's were black as the void and his iris' were red as blood, wearing nothing but a ripped tunic and cloak the color of freshly grown grass and black tights. He seemed to be young, around the age's of 18 or 19- but his skin was littered in scars and bruises.
Then, as his gaze shifted, Ren's focus was on something else.
His eyes narrowed in on the small child next to him, their hands clamped around each other tightly as the teen held her slightly behind himself- eyes locked with the Blaze hybrids.
"Salem's dying wish was to take her child away from- from HIM- why the hell can't you just respect that Mini?!"
"I do respect that, I really do! But you know how it is around here."
"Why are you acting like this?!"
A thud inches away from him made Ren jump, seeing another demon land beside him. Following him were two more male demons- both of them holding golden swords, but not wearing golden armor. The first seemed to be an Incubus, his hair a golden blonde with strikingly beautiful blue eyes, a black bandana tied around his head. He was smaller than the hybrid in stature, his slight curves showing through his clothes. His shirt was lime green and he wore slightly ripped blue jeans, a long whip-like tail waving behind him.
The other seemed slightly older than the others and easily could match Doc in his size, but seemed to have a gentle atmosphere. At first glance, He was just a regular demon, but the uncharacteristic black demon wings folded behind him gave away his rank easily. It wasn't often demons were born with wings- but when they did, Ren heard it could be insanely dangerous. The demon had auburn hair that was gelled back and the mustache on his upper lip was well-groomed, his eyes a soft red and his skin a tanned color. His horns were curled back like a ram, and his tail was just as whip-like as the Incubus'. He was dressed more formally in a rusty red pin-stripe vest, a white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and black dress pants. He held the golden sword with less tensity, seeming to not have as much malice as Mini.
"M-Martyn- You're-" The teen spoke up, looking surprised and hurt as he locked eyes with the Incubus. Martyn seemed to flinch, taking a step back, "Look- I have to. You know what happened last time I went against order's..."
The larger demon stepped forward, his look almost pleading, "He's willing to forgive you, bud...You just need to come back with us- Please....I...We don't wanna hurt you." His voice was soft, sounding genuine and calming.
He reminded Ren of Mumbo.
"Zee- You should understand better than anybody that I- I need to fulfill Salem's wishes. Please!"
"I-i..."
The Child let out a yelp as her foot slipped a bit, causing Ren to react instantly, taking out his sword and charging the Incubus.
The blond spun around and blocked the strike with his own sword, eyes wide as he looked at Ren. He pushed back against the Lycan, taking Ren by surprise with a kick to his stomach, making him stumble back. The larger demon caught him, holding his sword to his neck, "Move and I kill you-" Ren gulped, surprised at how fast he was taken down as well as his lack of self control.
What was he thinking?
Mini huffed, completely ignoring the situation as he cut off the larger demon, "I really don't understand how the King keeps forgiving you. You've always been nothing but an ungrateful brat..." His voice was flat, void of emotion. Zee's head snapped toward him in shock, eyes wide, "Mini, what the fuck are you saying? What has gotten into you?!"
A grin spread across his face as he dashed forward before the teen could react, grabbing the child by the arm and tossing her behind him carelessly, "I'm just a bit smarter now, that's all ya big softie! And I'm smart enough to want to get rid of the problem!!"
Marytn reacted fast, catching the crying child and pulling it to his chest comfortingly before it could hit the ground- looking at the brunette in a panic, "Mini what are you doing?!"
"MINI NO-!" The larger demon let go of Ren and ran toward the pair in a panic. Ren watched in horror as the hybrid pulled the teen towards him; the golden sword plunging into his stomach as his eyes flew wide. Blood seeped past his lips and tears flowed freely from his eyes as he frantically gripped Mini's arm.
"M-mini...?"
The look in his eyes was so full of betrayal and heartbreak as he looked up at the older demon, the scene being something that would not stop playing through Ren's head for years to come.
Mini withdrew the blade as his eye's turned a soft green, flushing with emotion again as he seemed to pale, "G-gri?" A look of horror and realization spread across his features as he dropped the blood-soaked sword. The teen wavered, holding his bleeding stomach and stepping back shakily, "I-i...how...cou....ld....you..." His breath hitched as he slipped, falling back off the cliff. Mini shot out, grabbing him by his tunic front and pulling him back with enough force to knock himself back. Zee fell to his knee's beside them as Mini sat up, cradling the young boy in his arms tenderly.
"No..nononono-"
He began to shake, eyes welling with tears, "God- FUCK- what have I done-" Mini looked up at Zee with wide, teary eyes as he ripped up his vest and used it to cover the wounds, "Zee- Please- believe me, I didn't mean to hurt him- I don't know what the hell happened-!"
"H-hey- I know I know..." He leaned forward, kissing the hybrid on the forehead reassuringly, "He's- he's going to be fine- we need to think fast, they'll be here any moment-"
Martyn looked at the child and the 3 demons, seeming to struggle with an internal decision. The conflict swam in his eyes, seemingly brewing as old memories seemed to resurface.
His head snapped to Ren as if he had decided, "You. You're from the human world right?" Ren swallowed dryly, hands shaking, "I...y-yes." Martyn chewed his lip, gulping before walking over with the crying child in his arms, "Take her and Run. Make sure she never comes back to the nether- I'll take the blame for losing her-"
"W-what?!"
The incubus handed the Child over, kissing her forehead before stepping back his hand gripping a golden locket, "Hide- they're coming..."
Martyn ran over to the others and Ren tensed at the sound of beating wings approaching.
Thinking instinctively, Ren held the small child to his chest and made a break for it, his mind running at 100 mph as he searched for a hiding spot. Skidding to a stop when he reached the base of the nether fortress, he spotted a crack in the netherrack wall. It was just big enough to hide the child if he dug a bit in, but not big enough for both of them.
Looking down at the child in his arms, he felt her tiny hands gripping his shirt as she sobbed, breaths shaky and uneven. He could just drop the child and save himself- after all, he could be assisting in a kidnapping without even realizing it. He owed nothing to those demons anyway, he had no attachment to this child, and besides- he wouldn't make a good parent. He had no idea how to raise a normal child, never mind a demon child.
Then there was the issue with realm rules. Trafficking any species out of the nether other than pigmen, ghast's, blazes, or magma slimes was strictly forbidden- taking a normal demon from the nether would for sure get him banned from the server, but taking a demon child? That would probably be a one-way ticket to being eradicated.
But as usual, Ren was thinking with his heart rather than with his head. He didn't take a second to think about his own life on the line as his mind drifted back to the demons from before. His heart ruled out all logic in the situation as he put down the child and took out his pickaxe, digging a bit more into the hole before picking the child up and putting her inside the crevice. She scooted back into the hole in confusion, her entire body engulfed by shadow's as only watery golden cat-eyes stared back at him.
"W-where...Gri-gri?"
"Hey..."
Leaning forward, he reached in and cupped her face, heart-squeezing as he felt her soft cheek covered in warm, wet tear streaks. His voice softened almost instinctively, sounding barely recognizable to his own, "Gri-gri is uh...He's gonna be okay. I need you to stay here and sit quietly, don't make a sound and don't come out until you hear me yell uh..." His mind drawing a blank, Ren blurted out the first thing he thought, "Firefly. I want you to do your ABC's 15 times. If I'm not back by then, I want you to climb the weird staircase right there-" He turned and gestured to the cobblestone staircase attached to the nether fortress, waiting for a nod before continuing, "From the top, go straight past 2 hallways. Take a left, then a right. You should find another staircase just like the one you climbed up. Climb down it and you should see a weird square tunnel through a wall of the rock below us. Go down it, you should find a weird rectangular thing with a pretty purple curtain like thing. Go into it and don't step out until you see warm brown floor and grey brick-like walls. From there, do this." He took out his communicator, clicking on Iskalls contact before handing it to her, "Click that slash icon, and then when another man answer's, tell him to come because Ren Dog might be in trouble and sent you. Then stay till he arrives, okay?"
A soft nod came in response as she took to the communicator, "Promise me you'll do this?" She nodded again and Ren bit his lip, reaching and taking out a flint knife, handing her the small object, "If any bad guy's come after you or grab you, you use this to hurt them back, okay?" Reaching out, she took the knife by it's handle and held it close, nodding once more.
Ren heard a yell, making him tense as he snapped his head towards the noise, "Alright- I'll try to be back as soon as possible."
Unsheathing his sword, Ren ran back toward's the spot with the demons, quickly ducking behind the same quartz cluster as he spotted a few new demons. He peeked out from behind the cluster, watching yet another scene unfold.
"Lost her- What do you mean you lost her?!"
One of the new demons spoke up, seeming to be the ring leader. He was roughly a few inches shorter than Mumbo but made up for it with muscle mass. He had tanned skin and neatly combed raven black hair, a red and blue headset sitting around his neck while he wore a blue t-shirt and ripped blue jeans. His horns were long and sharp, his tail whipping irritably behind him and large red demon wings folded behind him. He looked furious, his glowing blue eyes narrowed at the Incubus from earlier.
"S-she ran off after Mini stabbed G, Sir. I was too distracted by the scene to account for her escaping. I-"
"So what your telling me...is that your incompetence...not only let my property be damaged-" He gestured to the teen on the ground from earlier, his head now in Mini's lap as Zee had begun wrapping the wound. They both seemed to flinch and tense at the man's words, Mini's eyes narrowing on the man before quickly looking away, "But also let my daughter run away alone. Where she can easily be killed?!"
Faltering, the incubus stepped back, "W-well- Yes but-"
"Are you a fucking imbecile?!!" The raven-haired demon reached forward grabbed the blonde by his hair, throwing him to the ground, before suddenly freezing in place, "No...You think I'M the imbecile, don't you?" His pupils dilated and he brought his foot down on Martyn's stomach, the man crying out in pain, "You let her go, didn't you Martyn?!" He dug his heel in, Ren's stomach twisting as he heard the cries of pain erupting from the smaller male.
A young woman stepped forward, her short silver hair tied back, wearing a grey jacket and pants over a white tank top, her horns significantly smaller than any of the others.
"Taurtis, that's enough- you're being irrational again-"
"SHUT IT NETTY!!!"
She flinched back, looking hurt at the man's sudden bark. The man- Taurtis- turned his attention back to Martyn with fire in his eyes. He snarled, growling as he stepped back and let the Incubus stumble to his feet, "Just like Tim...Just like that goody-two-shoes boyfriend of yours, you're starting to get soft....I have no use for anyone "soft" unless they're my property." He walked over the wounded teen, smirking as he grabbed him by the front of his shirt and pulled him closer, "You all wonder why I haven't gotten rid of little G over here? He's soft. Soft doesn't fight back. Soft runs away, and once you wrangle it up again and beat around the bush a bit they are nice and obedient for you again.Thats exactly why I love him." He let go of the teen carelessly, Mini just barely managing to catch him before he hit the ground, letting out a pained sob.
Mini and Zee looked at Taurtis like they were ready to bite his head off, both of them hovering protectively over the teen.
Taurtis glared back before moving on, walking back towards Martyn, "This…This is the bad kind of soft.” Lifting the sword, Ren watched in horror a Taurtis brought blade down across the Incubus’ neck. “I have no use for soft!!” With a gurgled screaming and coughing, Martyn collapsed while holding in neck, bleeding out onto the netherrack. Ren slapped his hand over his mouth to keep himself from crying out. Without hesitation, he scrambled back and took off towards the nether fortress. As he approached it, he called out- “FIREFLY!!” Approaching the hole, he looked inside and was relieved to find the little demon still there, golden cat eyes staring back at him in the darkness hopefully. “Cmon, we gotta go-” He reached in and carefully removed the toddler from the crevice, holding her against him.
Sheathing his sword, Ren used both arms to support her against him before taking off towards the staircase. Up the staircase, across the bridges- Ren’s lungs burned as he inhaled the scalding air and ash, the muscles of his legs burning as he ran on pure adrenaline. All that mattered to him was getting the child to safety, forgetting the entire reason he had been in the nether in the first place. As the purple hue of the portal came into view, Ren only ran faster, his instincts taking over as a whimper sounded from the small body in his arms.
As he jumped through the portal and landed in his base, Ren knew this wasn’t over. He put the child down and took out his pickaxe, using what remained of the adrenaline in his system to breaking the obsidian portal.
As the portal broke, Ren sighed in relief and flopped back, panting. The adrenaline finally flushing out of his system, he started to become more aware of his surrondings.
“M-mister…?” Oh. Right. Sitting up, Ren looked to see the little demon beside him, her appearance making him grimace. In the brighter lighting he could see the bruises and cuts that covered her body much better. Her hair was a black as a ravens feathers and looked unkempt, her sclera engulfed in that same black and eyes a bright gold, Soft maroon markings made patterns on the warm brownish tan skin of her face, and two small black horns protruded from her head. His heart sank as he realized the situation, eyes widening and freezing. If anyone found out, he was sure he’d be banned immediately and the child would be sent back to that- that hell. …...Alright. He could do this... Slowly, he reached back and picked up the toddler, setting her in his lap as he crossed his legs, “Heya kiddo...Do...Whats yours name? I’m Ren.” Giving his warmest smile as he could feel the small body in front of him slowly relax. He reached out and brushed her bangs from her face, seeing her leaning into his touch as he gently cupped her face again, “I...I don’….I don’ like my name…” He hummed softly and picked her up, cradling the demon in his arms, “Then how about we pick a new one, hm? How’s that sound kiddo?” “New name…?” “Mhm! How about....Amanda!” He walked up into his base and to his bed, gently setting her down on his bed and he began to look for something to clean her cuts. “Nuh-uh!” “No? Aww darn...Emily?” “Bleh!!” He chuckled and turned to her, putting down the rubbing alcohol and kneeling in front of her, beginning to clean the cuts, “Well, aren’t you a picky nicky!!” A smile broke across her face and she giggled, “Silly puppy!” He felt a tug at his ears and chuckled, letting her play with them, “Ay! I’ll have you know I am the fearsome diggity dog, thank you very much ya butt!” Her giggles grew into full laughter as they kept talking, a warm feeling spreading into Ren’s chest as he gently bandaged the young girls wounds. As he finished, he looked up at her and tilted his head, “How about...Pele.” She lit up instantly, a wide smile spreading across her face telling him everything. “Pele it is then! Now,” He picked her up once more and sat on the bed instead, placing her in his lap, “You need some sleep. When you wake up, We’ll get you bathed and some new clothes, okay?” “Okay…” He hummed softly, inhaling deeply, “You…Your gonna be staying with me from now on, alright? But i’m gonna take real good care of you! I won’t let any bad guys hurt you anymore…” “Promise…?” She held out her pinkie to him and looked up at him with pleading eyes, making his heart melt, “Yea…” He intertwined his pinkie with hers and shook it, “I promise. Now- let’s get you to bed kiddo!” Internally, as he tucked Pele into bed, he made a promise to himself. He wouldn’t let anyone stand between him and Pele. Not that Taurtis fellow, not Xisuma, Not Iskall, no one. ----------------------- As Ren ran towards the future district, all he could think about was his little girl. Sure- she was little older now, but to him she was still his little girl deep down. By now, Xisuma had figured out how to code the Nether without demons, making it safer for the hermits. It took a long while for Ren to get used to being a father- and raising a demon wasn’t the easiest- but he figured he’d done a good enough job. Pele was responsible enough, was a quick learner, and by now she could barely remember her real father- a fact Ren was grateful of. He had told not a soul about her, not only because he fearful of the repercussions, but ideally worried about being separated from her. Shaking his head, he focused on the problem at hand. Xisuma had announced an emergency arrival at spawn, something that was alarming to everyone. The admin had never called such a thing to the server’s attention, so it made everyone curious and worried.
As he arrived at the spawn, he was surprised to find False, Stress, and Iskall standing around a nether portal as Xisuma was pacing back and forth in front of it, his helmet strapped to his side as he looked shaken. Ren approached a familiar blond, putting a hand on her shoulder, “Falsie, what’s going on?” “Mumbo went into the nether for the emergency arrival, but he hasn’t-” Almost if on cue, there was a vooping noise and Mumbo emerged, holding a bundle in one arm and someone else thrown over his opposite shoulder. “Close the portal!! NOW!” Without hesitation, Xisuma took out his pick and broke the side of the portal. The person over Mumbo’s shoulder was sobbing and kicking, reaching towards the portal pleadingly, “NO! ZEE’S STILL BACK THERE! LET GO!!” Rushing over, Xisuma took the bundle from Mumbos arms and cradled it. Ren watched as Mumbo slowly lowered the smaller person, kneeling beside them with an apologetic look as they finally stopped struggling. Ren spotted the demons tail whipping behind the person and his breath hitched, walking closer. His heart stopped as the young demon looked at him, honey blond bangs hanging in front of his face and vibrant red sweater standing out. Slowly, the demon calmed down and he looked around, “M-my baby...where is he- please-” Xisuma walked out and kneeled by him, handing over the bundle. The young man took it with a whimper of relief, hugging it close as it began to cry and snuggle up to him. Xisuma inhaled deeply before taking out a communicator, “I’m sorry but...I’m gonna need your name…” Taking a deep breath, the demon looked at the admin through blood red teary eyes, “I-i’m Grian…”

summary:  The Losers Club find the strength to carry on after killing It, and Richie deals with his feelings by politely ignoring them.
In the months following It, the Losers miraculously find some way to carry on. The cuts on their hands scar over and fade, Stanley gets his bandages taken off, Bev keeps her hair short and choppy, and September arrives with little fanfare.
Turns out that killing a demon clown doesn’t change much as about their status in the middle school hierarchy, but Henry Bowers isn’t around to shove Eddie into lockers and they only get called slurs every once in a while. Eighth grade, Richie decides, is the best year yet.
Puberty hits them all at full force by November, and it’s nice to see Beverly starting to laugh and smile more often as the boys’ voices crack as they get deeper, or they hurry out of the classroom with their notebooks held discreetly in front of themselves. Richie thinks it’s funny too, even has his limbs practically grow overnight and he has to actually start shaving, even if it’s just the fuzz on his upper lip.
Focusing on his developing body is a good distraction to his developing mind, as well. He thinks about how wild his hair is becoming, instead of thinking about how soft Eddie’s looks. He avoids the arcade and tells himself that it’s because he has a Sega at home, or that he’d rather be listening to his records instead.
Mike tells them all about his first kiss with some girl who hangs around the farm because her father works there. That’s the first time Richie notices how handsome Mike is, with his jaw that is just starting to square up and big, working hands.
Richie’s not stupid. He knows the other Losers are attractive, and what this means for him. It’s just starting to become a problem.
When Bill tosses his arm around him in the hallway, Richie is quick to stumble out a laugh and brush his arm off. When Ben and Stan are hovering on either side of him, looking at something in a textbook, Richie leans as far back as he can without breaking the rickety old library chair.
When it gets warm enough again, Richie spends a Saturday morning by himself at the Kissing Bridge, trying to force himself to scribble out the letters that he scratched there himself nearly a year ago. They’re going into high school, how could Richie still feel like that, after everything? He had sort of been hoping that the clown had snuffed out his Eddie-Libido. Instead the damn thing had added fuel to the fire.
Instead Richie sits in the still-wet grass for an hour or two, digging his pocket knife even further into the wood and forcing the letters back to prominence after the last eight months of wear and tear.
It feels childish. The whole walk to Eddie’s house, he contemplates turning around, running back to the bridge, and kicking the damn post over and off the cliff for good. Instead he just ends up in Eddie’s bed, laughing and reading comics and thinking thoughts he shouldn’t think, relishing in their private moments, where it’s just them, before they leave to meet up with the other Losers in the afternoon.
It’s easier to pretend, if he lets himself be present. Poke and prod Eddie like he always does, but avoid skin. Call him the stupid nicknames, but not my love, or dearest, as he had when they were younger, grinning and shoving at each other. He throws a few extra mom jokes in there, and Eddie even laughs, bright and warm and beautiful.
One ounce of honesty per day.

By the summer before their junior year, it almost feels like they’ve moved on with their lives. Richie can walk through the park again, Stan can hear the sound of a flute without a panic attack. Bill’s stutter is even mostly gone, which the Losers figure is the miracle of miracles. The sunshine after the storm, the good omen to put the past behind them and be semi-normal teens.
Hey guys, Richie doesn’t say, remember when we fought that evil clown a few summers ago? Wasn’t that fun?
Sometimes Richie feels like the only one who remembers. None of them bring it up unless it’s on accident. And even then, it’s fleeting. Just a moment, a second of silence if someone says something about a clown, or balloons, or Georgie.
Ben and Richie are by themselves in the clubhouse one afternoon. Richie’s stretched out in the hammock, his gangly limbs poking every which way.
“I can’t believe we used to fit multiple people in here,” Richie says, offhand. There’s the beat of quiet, as both Richie and Ben remember the Summer of It when Eddie and Richie used to share the thing all the time. Then, Richie continues, “we should get another one.”
Ben scoffs. “There’s no room for that. Besides, I’m sure you and Eddie could find some way to squeeze in there together.”
More silence, but it’s not the heavy, thick kind that usually befalls them as they remember that summer. This silence is a bit more awkward, more friendly. Well intended.
“Why’re you signalling Eds out?” Richie laughs the weight in his chest away. “You could come cuddle with me, Benny-boy.” He makes kissing noises as Ben huffs out that almost-laugh that he does when he isn’t really sure what to say.
Well, that makes two of them.
“I mean, that’s yours and Eddie’s spot,” Ben finally says, albeit a bit sheepishly.
Richie leans forward as far as he can in the hammock, trying to get a good view of Ben. He’s sitting on the floor, writing, or drawing, or something. Stan and Bill have already begun college applications, Richie wouldn’t be surprised if Ben was hopping on that train too.
“It’s not our spot,” Richie says defensively. “Bev sits in here all the time.”
“Sure,” says Ben. He sounds sarcastic, which is rare for him. “You guys might as well write your initials on the side of that thing.”
Richie very carefully tries not to choke on his spit or fall off the hammock. Ben continues, “maybe we should just get a new one, so you can both fit.”
“No!”
“Weren’t you the one just campaigning for a second one?”
Frustrated, Richie flops back onto his back, closing his eyes as the hammock rocks beneath him. Sure, it’s getting old, more brown than yellow these days, and there’s definitely several holes from where Richie and Eddie had dug the heels of their feet into the nylon a few too many times. It smells like dust and water from the quarry, and maybe a little like the lemon cleaning supplies that Sonia Kaspbrak uses. It isn’t hard to imagine Eddie sitting with him, as much as they have grown in the last few years. They’d find a way to force themselves in just to annoy each other.
There’s the sound of shuffling, like Ben putting down his papers and crawling across the space to sit next to the hammock. Then, a reassuring hand finding Richie’s shoulder.
Richie opens his eyes. Ben is looking over the edge of the hammock, a knowing look on his face.
“Benjamin Handsome,” Richie presses his hand against Ben’s face as he laughs, “I hate you.”
“You don’t.”
Folding his arms, Richie looks back up at the ceiling. Some dust falls. Richie opens his mouth to say something, but is interrupted by the sound of voices, quickly followed by the hatch opening.
“Hey,” says Mike as he climbs down, followed by Eddie. If Ben notices the hitch in Richie’s breath, he doesn’t say anything.
“We were just talking about how old this hammock is, do you think we should replace it?”
Eddie’s face appears over Richie’s, an odd look on his face. “Why should we?”
“Ben doesn’t think we can both fit in it anymore!” Eddie yelps as Richie grabs him by the shoulders and hauls him into the hammock. They spend a few seconds laughing and flailing, almost falling off the damn thing several times, before they manage to steady themselves, Richie still sprawled out and Eddie place precariously on his lap, legs on either side of Richie’s hips. Both of their faces are red, and Eddie is breathing sort of heavily.
“I knock the wind out of ya, eh Eds?”
He can’t be totally sure, but Richie almost swears that Eddie gets a bit pinker around the ears. “Fuck you, Trashmouth, you could’ve killed both of us just then! Crack both of our skulls open-- ”
Mike and Ben are laughing somewhere to Richie’s right. Eddie’s going off on some tangent about hammock safety, but makes no real effort to move, and doesn’t even say anything once Richie’s hand finds purchase on his calf, right above where he used to wear those ridiculous socks. The skin there is soft and smooth, unlike Richie’s legs, whose growth spurt also included dark hair on most parts of his body. Richie takes a moment to revel in that, think about what that means, before he tunes back in to what Eddie is saying, his face screwed up in a very cute way.
Mentally, Richie sprays himself with water. Down, boy.
“--and what would have even been the point, a total waste of time.”
Eddie shakes his head with a sigh when he realizes that Richie hadn’t been listening. “If this thing breaks with both of us on it, it’s your fault.” Then, he flops onto his back, unfolding his knees and sticking his feet in Richie’s face. They’re more on top of each other than they ever were as kids, and something feels a bit different than how it did when they were thirteen. Eddie even kicks of Richie’s glasses.
His vision is fuzzy as he looks over the yellow nylon, glasses disappearing somewhere between their tangled limbs, but can still tell that Ben and Mike are flashing him two thumbs up.
+
It’s kind of ridiculous, that the whole thing comes to a head during their senior year.
At this point, Richie is fairly sure that most, if not all, the other Losers know about his crush. He hates calling it that, feels like a twelve year old carving their initials into the fucking kissing bridge. He keeps thinking that one day he’ll wake up and the feelings will be gone, that he’ll realize that it wasn’t romantic at all and that it was just the lingering side effects of It or some shit. It doesn’t help that Richie’s still a teenager who has needs and likes sex.
Eddie, in his track uniform, sweaty after a meet. In the quarry, stripped down to his underwear, wet and smiling like the sun. Even during the goddamn winter, Eddie’s nose pink and eyelashes covered in snowflakes and shouting profanities as Richie throws snowballs at him. It’s enough to drive an eighteen year old closeted, flaming homosexual crazy.
Beverly likes to look at Richie knowingly over cigarettes, just as Ben does whenever Richie and Eddie are in the hammock together. Bill pats his shoulder in a sorry, buddy, gesture. Mike and Stanley like to give vague speeches, about patience and idiots who just need to shut up and make out already.
Mike and Stan aren’t the most subtle, to say the least.
They go to prom, all seven of them as each other’s dates. Richie wears this hideous powder blue suit that he found in an antique store for three dollars, and Eddie manages to keep a straight face as Richie bows and asks him for a dance.
To his surprise, Eddie takes the hand that Richie had extended, pulling them head first onto the dancefloor full of girls with too much hairspray in their hair and guys who aren’t wearing enough deodorant. Behind them, Richie can hear the other Losers cheering and whistling.
“Y’know Eds, I had kind of expected you to throw punch in my face or something,” Richie says, loudly enough over the music once they’ve stopped in the crowd of people. Eddie shrugs, and starts moving his shoulders and legs in the most perfect, awkward way possible. Richie follows his lead, bouncing lightly on his toes to the beat.
Just as the chorus kicks in, they both open their mouths to sing along, grinning goofily at each other.
There’s a room where the light won’t find you, holding hands while the walls come tumbling down. When they do, I’ll be right behind you.
Eddie’s sort of screaming it, and Richie supposes that he is too. Their hands are held tightly together as they dance playfully, spinning and wiggling their arms and laughing the whole way through.
So glad we’ve almost made it, so sad they had to fade it, everybody wants to rule the world.
Despite the people all around them, Richie feels like it’s just them. Richie and Eddie, Eddie and Richie.
When the song ends and transitions into something else, they’re pressed closely together. More people have joined the dance floor, and it takes a second for Richie to realize that it’s because a slow song started to play. Couples with matching dresses and ties start to pair up, or hopeful looking boys hover awkwardly around a bored looking girl who looks out of their league. Richie even spots Ben and Bev over Eddie’s shoulder.
His eyes drop back down to Eddie, who is still looking up at him. Eddie’s sort of standing between Richie’s legs, and one of his hands holds onto Richie’s sleeve. They’re both breathing heavily.
“Hey,” Richie says breathlessly. “Wanna go outside?”
“Yes please,” Eddie huffs, and it’s maybe the sexiest thing Richie’s ever heard.
They shuffle through the crowd of high schoolers until they get to the gym’s side door, slipping out into the warm night unnoticed.
The door clicks shut behind them. The music is muffled, but still audible. Richie laughs and leans against the brick wall. “You sure know how to treat a lady, Eds.”
Eddie shakes off his black suit jacket and seems to relish in the relief for a moment. It’s only then that Richie realizes how warm he is, too.
Richie is quick to follow suit.
“That suit is hideous.”
“You’re hideous.”
“Real smooth, Trashmouth.”
Richie shrugs, tossing the jacket onto the concrete. Eddie winces, but lets him do the same to his own.
There’s only one light on this side of the building, casting their little alleyway in an eerie sort of glow. As they collect themselves, Richie doesn’t have to even say anything to know that they’re both thinking the same thing. It.
Richie holds out his hand. Their fingers slip together easily as Eddie steps forward and back into Richie’s space. Neither of them have really slow danced, unless you count the time they drunkenly celebrated New Years in Bill’s basement and broke a vase as they attempted the Dirty Dancing dance.
It’s not too hard to get into. Richie’s hands go to Eddie’s waist, and Eddie wraps his arms around Richie’s neck. The height difference makes it slightly difficult, and it’s only when Richie laughs lightly does Eddie step on Richie’s foot.
“Dick,” Richie mutters into Eddie’s hair as he hunches his shoulders. Eddie can wrap himself around Richie properly now, one of his hands tangled into the mess that has become Richie’s hair. Then, “you look good tonight. I, ah.” He huffs nervously as he feels one of the hands on his neck tighten. “Yellow is your color.”
It’s Eddie’s turn to laugh into Richie’s shirt. He pulls back a little, just enough to look up at his taller friend. Richie takes him in, with his yellow dress shirt and cute curls and a stupid smirk on his face.
“Thanks,” Eddie says simply. He let’s Richie spin him, and it feels oddly elegant, even if they’re just two teenagers poorly slow dancing in an alleyway behind their senior prom. “I’d say you look good too, but I don’t think baby blue suits you.”
“Yeah, I agree, I’ll have to ask your mom if I can borrow one of her yellow blouses so we can match next time.”
He just manages to catch Eddie roll his eyes before he realizes that his head is being tugged down and their mouths are being pressed together.
Well then.
Richie spends a second trying to decide what to do, while also battling with the thirteen year old horndog in the back of his brain that is two seconds away from getting on his knees. Just as he decides to tilt his head, though, Eddie is stepping away. He looks surprised, if anything.
Eddie opens his mouth, like he’s about to say something, then closes it with a click of his teeth. Christ, Richie was just kissing that mouth.
“I would’ve asked to borrow a shirt from your mom years ago if I had known you’d do that,” Richie finally manages.
Eddie groans and runs his hands through his hair. It sticks up in several directions, and all Richie can think is cute cute cute. “Can’t you be serious for two seconds?”
“I am serious!” Richie waves an arm vaguely. “I’ve been in love with you since we were like, eleven! And don’t even get me started on that stupid cl--”
They’re kissing again before Richie can finish the sentence, which is just as well. Eddie’s up on his toes and Richie’s leaning down, wrapping his arms around him and pulling Eddie as closely to his chest as possible.
“You’re so stupid,” Eddie mutters into Richie’s mouth. It sounds more like Oar Show Shoe Ped, but Richie is basically the leading expert on all things Eddie Kaspbrak, and gets the jist. Richie’s about ready to add very good at kissing to the list of Strange Things About Eddie Kaspbrak, right between wears socks to bed and can say the alphabet backwards.

When Richie leaves for LA, Eddie gives him a little black journal. “For your jokes,” he says with a final kiss to the side of Richie’s face.
It’s only once Richie is on the plane does he find the flowers, dried and pressed carefully between the front and the first page of the notebook. They’re the same yellow ones that grow in Richie’s backyard back in Derry. The same ones that Eddie braided into Richie’s hair, and the little blue and yellow ones that Richie liked to decorate Eddie’s windowsill with.
The old lady on the plane beside him tells him that the yellow ones are called butterweeds. Then, with a sweet laugh and a hand pressed to her heart, “and those blue ones with the yellow in the middle. Forget-me-nots. ”
“Makes sense,” Richie says shakily, although he doesn’t know why. “I’m leaving my hometown to go to LA.”
The woman pats Richie’s leg reassuringly, sensing the trepidation in his voice. “I’m sure it’ll all work out fine.”
+
People ask Richie all the time; what’s with you and the color yellow?
The Lie: It’s my favorite color.
The Truth: I have vague memories of yellow shirts and yellow sneakers and yellow hammocks. When I first moved to LA I always painted my nails yellow because it made me feel less homesick. I keep these pressed yellow weeds taped in this thirty year old notebook and I’m not sure why. The smell of cleaning supplies makes me sick. Sometimes, I have these strange dreams, of the sun reflected on clear water and a yellow raincoat. There’s laughing, and smiling, and joy, but there’s also something like fear. Shame. Guilt. And the yellow that got me through it, the light within the darkness. You know when you press your fingers to your eyes, and you start to see spots? That’s what yellow feels like. So I surround myself with yellow. Yellow flowers in the green room, yellow lights on set. Ugly yellow patterned shirts because they make me laugh and I know they make someone else do, too. Yellow phone cases, yellow ties, yellow posters for my Yellow! tour, where I tell an odd joke about being allergic to lemons, even though I’m not, and I don’t know anyone who is. I remember a yellow hammock, and a warm, sunshine filled body pressed close to me. I remember how yellow the sun seemed after… something. Darkness. Something that I see in my nightmares but I forget the words before I wake up. Something yellow.

When the Losers Club officially reunites 27 years later and Richie remembers why he hates arcades so much, he waits for the memories of yellow to return to him. In the clubhouse, there’s the yellow hammock, where he wonders if he and Eddie would still fit. They pass by Richie’s old house, and he can almost see the yellow weeds peeking out from behind a fence. Eddie says something about lemons, and he remembers that it was Eddie who had claimed to be allergic to them, all those years ago, and how his house smelled like lemon cleaning supplies anyway.
They fight It for the second time, and they’re pretty sure they killed it for good this time. When Richie got caught in the deadlights, the glowing yellow of them was so bright that they were almost white. Something about it doesn’t sit pleasantly in Richie’s stomach, as if the color has been ruined for good.
They make it out alive, climbing out of the wreckage of Neilbolt and back into the daylight. Richie is supporting Eddie, who limps slightly but is otherwise unscathed. They watch, all seven of them, as the house crumbles in on itself, darkness and evil crumbling until there’s nothing but them and the sun. Stan says something about how glad he is that he made it, just to see this house finally disappear for good. It makes them laugh, in the tense moment, and when Richie looks down and over at Eddie, he’s glad he made it here too.
+
“I hate this,” Eddie groans, almost as soon as he comes back up for air after jumping into the quarry. The sun reflects off the water and onto their faces, just like Richie remembers it.
“I knew you’d say that!” Beverly splashes him for good measure, which just makes Eddie sputter and gag more than he already was.
It feels like they’re thirteen again, splashing each other and squealing at the feeling of something brushing their feet. By the time they’ve tired themselves out and begin the walk back into town, Richie’s starting to feel like he’s missing something, as their long and weird journey comes to an end.
“I don’t remember this walk being this long when we were kids,” Mike groans. He raises an arm over his head and audibly cracks it.
“That’s what happens when you get old,” Ben says, who’s one to talk. He’s easily the most in shape of all of them.
“We've almost made it,” Bill reminds them, putting on his Leader voice. Even as an adult, that tone in Bill’s voice makes Richie want to believe it.
Stan hums something from beside Richie in response to Bill.
Richie freezes, as if a shock went through his entire body. It’s enough to make Stan and Eddie stop to look at him worriedly, signaling to the others to pause.
“Stanley,” Richie says, looking at his old friend, who really hasn’t aged a day. “What were you just humming?”
He looks surprised, like that’s not what he was expecting Richie to ask. After a moment of confusion, he says, “Everybody wants to rule the world. Tears for Fears? I’m sure you know it.”
There’s a second, a moment, where Richie processes that information. He’s used to this feeling by now, his brain struggling to catch up to what his heart knows--
“Prom!” He shouts excitedly, spinning around to face Eddie, whose eyebrows are raised adorably high on his head. “I can’t believe I forgot!”
Eddie’s about to say something, but he’s cut off by Mike asking something, but Mike is cut off by Richie rushing forward and kissing Eddie right on the mouth, hand on his cheek over the bandage.
Once Richie parts to breath, he pumps a fist in the air. Eddie’s eyes are far away and his head is slightly tilted, clearly also processing this information.
It’s Ben who speaks first. “Jesus, I can’t believe you guys forgot that you were in love.”
Eddie’s mouth is on Richie’s again in a second, and it feels like the first time. Eddie on his toes, Richie leaning down. Except this time their friends are here, and they’re soaking wet, and they killed that fucking clown for real.
“Eddie, light of my life, sunshine on my rainy day, how on earth are we so fucking stupid?” Richie is shouting this to the open air as he spins Eddie around. He doesn’t ever remember feeling this happy. Not since the first time they fought It, not since he last kissed Eddie 27 years ago.
The other Losers are quick to wrap their arms around the two of them, even as Eddie is laughing through the tears that are welling up in his eyes. He shoves good naturedly at Richie’s glasses.
“This would only happen to you two.” That’s Bev, from somewhere near Richie’s elbow.
“Please,” says Bill, who sounds like he’s pressed to Eddie’s back. “As if you and Ben didn’t just go through the same thing.”
God, Richie thinks. 27 fucking years. How had he never realized how sad and empty he had been? Without his best friends, without the love of his life. He woke up every morning feeling like he was about to go to a funeral, not some talk show or red carpet event.
They begin their walk back once again, and this time, Richie holds tightly onto Eddie’s hand.
“So, Eds,” Richie begins. Eddie looks over at him, eyebrows raised and suspicious, but eyes full of light and love. “For our wedding, I’m thinking butterweeds and forget-me-nots. Yay or nay?”
+
They have sunflowers, on their wedding day, because the sight of forget-me-nots makes Ben start crying, and if Ben starts crying, the rest of them do too.
It was a pointless effort, considering they all end up crying anyway.
The seven of them get a picture, decked out in their finest yellows, and Richie finds himself remembering the days after It, the first time. When they could hardly sleep without one of the others in the room, and Bill still stuttered, and there was that lingering sensation of this isn’t over yet.
Well, it’s over now. And they can finally carry on.

Mount Everest Ain’t Got Shit On Us (Fezco x fem!reader, Part 3.)
Description: You were always told that your life will be as you wish it to be if you’ll study enough. That it will pay off if you work hard. And some people were given you like the scary example of what will happen when you don’t obey. But sometimes it feels good to disobey.
A/N: As always, the chapter was written with my personal experience. Believe or not, I had a lot of people around me who were addicted (not cocaine but dexamfetamine or alcohol for that matter) and got through rehab at being 15 - 17 years old. I take all of these topics really seriously.
Word Count: 2.8 K
Warnings: The ups and downs of having a friend with a disorder like depression or BD. It's ok if you have that and to go through your ups and downs, nonetheless, you have friends who take you like the person as you are. No one will look at you through their fingers. We love you, ok? It will be alright. I have a friend who goes through a lot of shit at times and we got through together. Trust me. We love you.
Masterlist and declaration: H E R E
Tumblr media
When you are a person with a disorder or abnormalities in your behavior, people tend to feel sorry for you. They think you're the weird one since the first time your diagnose prediction is written down on some piece of paper, you become the one who just can't live a normal life. But only you know that the bullshit they do or say will do nothing to help you with your state. Only the people and a shit load of pills can.
But when you are the friend of a person with a disorder, people see you as the holy one of the due. They usually say how unbelievable friend you are for taking their states as they are, that you are with them in their ups and downs when they are almost impossible to be around with. But you know that that is just another bullshit the people around you tend to do.
Making a saint out of you when you are only acting like a normal friend.
Why should matter that your friend has some mental state that is not completely taken as “A-ok”?
You love and adore them for the people they are not for the grace of the other people. You befriended them in the first place because you feel comfortable around them, because you love a part of them and because they make you happy. Not to be a better person in other people’s eyes. You didn't do it for the public attention or to be interesting.
You, Rue and Jules, became good friends just in one week. Jules was showing you photos of the outfits she liked and she would love to wear, some new make-up and she talked with you about her favorite show, making you watch it as well. Rue was more of that laid-back-cool clown person. She was funny and tried to make you laugh every time she felt she had her chance to do that.
They always waited for you and Fran in front of the school to pick you up and to be the chaperones for you, always cheering loudly when they saw your shithead face as Fran joked a lot about.
Meanwhile, you and Jules got along because she was enlightening you into everything she loved, Rue and you had similar clothing styles and you tend to like the same things - plus she had a serious thing for hip hop, Love Island and Morgan Freeman centered things.
You got used to your girls waiting for you. You got a thing to look forward to every morning you got to school. Fran told you that both of your girls looked cool as hell, she was eyeing Rue more or less shamelessly, Cal found Rue funny and befriended her younger sis Gia and your friends just were feeling good about you not being alone in the new town.
You probably should see it coming. You became friends with Rue when she was in her manic state - but it still shocked you a bit when you saw only Jules with her hair in a bun, a tight cropped top and a short skirt standing all alone in front of the school. You were scared what was up with Rue - she sent you a meme at four a.m. as she usually did before she went to sleep but she did not text you at six a.m. as she would normally do.
“Have a nice day, shitheads!” - Fran called, waving at the both of you.
“Enjoy your college, babe!” - Jules called back with a smile and Fran nodded with a big smile. She liked Jules because of how pure and honest she was with everyone. She truly was a great person to have around as a friend.
Jules caught your hand in hers, holding it while you two went through the hall leading into the school.
“Where’s my Morgan Freeman?” - You asked curiously, watching Jules’ shy smile.
“You know, sometimes the demons crawl back and take a hold on Rue. She’ll be good. Give her one or two days and just let her be. She’s gonna text us when she will feel like talking with us.” - Jules said in a calm tone. You could feel that this is not the first time that something like this happened to Rue while Jules was there.
But Rue was your friend and this happened for the first time you’ve known her - you naturally got worried about her.
“Are you sure about that? Shouldn’t we check on her or call Leslie?” - You asked quietly. You knew Leslie - she was on her cloud nine when Rue took you to her home to introduce her newest friend.
“Trust me. It will be better to leave her be. She’s gonna be just fine. But I have exciting news for you!” - Jules cheered up without warning, she let your hand go and let you open your box. - “We will be attending a party on Saturday at Maddy’s. All three of us is invited!” - She sang in a happy tone. You only saw Maddy from the distance and heard about her, but you never got to talk to her.
She was more or fewer friends with a blonde girl named Cassie who had seriously big boobs and a black-haired plus-sized girl named Kat. But from what Rue had said to you, it was not friendship as you knew it. All of them were bitches, but Jules and Rue had made a so-called fragile truce with them. Maddy for that matter kept her boyfriend Nate out of their presence and your girls helped them with the school subject.
Sometimes your trio became a quartet. Cassie’s sister Lexy came along. She was shy and quiet just like you at the start of your friendship, but you liked her pretty much. But it was a surprise to Maddy inviting you to her house at a party.
“What about Rue? Do you think she will make it?” - You asked and entwined your fingers with Jules again. Sometimes Rue held your hand, sometimes it was Jules. The did not ask - they just did. And after two weeks you got used to it. You started to take their hands as well, seeing nothing wrong with it. It seemed that nobody else noticed, so why?
“I can't predict the future. Maybe she will or maybe she won't, she has five days to recover so let’s give her all the time she needs. We will see. But if she does not make it, we will have ourselves a hell of a good time, what do you say?” - Jules asked and her eyes shined when she watched you.
“I will ask my parents. I will tell you tomorrow, deal?” - You smiled at her and pointed your pinkie at her. She circled it around with hers. - “Deal.” - She winked and her eyes shined at that little word.
While the morning was weird without Rue around, the afternoon was weirder because you had to walk home on your own feet. Fran had her first college classes and she just wasn't able to pick you up. And the bus was a big no-no for you. Since your dad was at work, no more options were really remaining.
It was quite a walk to your home and Jules couldn't go with you because of her dad, plus she had her bike, so you listened to some music while you walked. After a half of an hour, you were approaching the gas station. You were dying because of the hotness and you just desired some ice-cold drink.
You could take your hoodie off, but you didn't want to tear apart your outfit.
The feeling of shivers and excitement ran over you as you watched the gas station from twenty feet away or so. That boy. You have seen him a few more times - once he had a violet hoodie, once you had a colorful-stripped sweater and once he had a simple white shirt and a snap-back cap turned backward. Even though you’ve seen him many times, you never actually saw his face. A mysterious boy.
This moment could change everything. The air in your lungs got slowly out when you approached the door from a freezer which led to the shop inside of the gas station. There was a lot of things in a small place - a lot of drinks, snacks, baguettes and a hell of booze. Outside, there was a small shelve with cigarettes. More and more you thought that maybe this wasn't a gas station at all.
“Hey. Ya searchin’ for somethin’?” - A tired male voice freaked you out. You turned your head to the counter. It was the boy you were seeing almost every morning. He looked tired and he watched your face with an unfriendly look. He was suspicious about something.
His face was... Not what you expected.
You have seemed more handsome men, but he was somehow exciting. His baby blue eyes looked tired and flat, his lips were thin, but the language of his body told you that his looks should not lullaby you to feel safe. His hair was truly short with a long thick scar on the left side of his head, he had a short curly red beard. He reminded you of some Irishman - he had freckles and milk-white skin tone. Today, he had a rainbow hoodie on and a cigarette behind his ear.
“Just deciding what I want to drink.” - You sighed nervously and played with your hair, trying to memorize his face. He was something. Something interested you in his features and you wished to get to know him better than you did at the moment.
"Just a drink, rite?" - His tired voice repeated what you've said, looking you up and down with a slight frown.
"Just a drink." - You nodded and smiled at him, reaching out for some cherry flavored soda in one of the freezers.
Could it be? Could you crush on that boy without knowing his name or what did he do for a living? You felt unsure about that, yet you stood there and tried to find your purse. But it wasn't in your hoodie or the usual spot in your bag. You panicked and looked the man into eyes. Holy shit. You must've forgotten it in the cafeteria.
"Holy moly, looks like no cherry... Bubble paradise for me today." - You giggled with a slight panic in your voice. That was seriously cringy. The first time you've got to talk to him and you forgot your purse. You sighed, ready to get the drink back to the freezer and leave his small shop.
"Let it be. Bet it isn't the last time ya here. Ya can pay when ya come the next time." - He smiled a bit, which left you in awe, and took a small pad from his counter. There was a lot of sections in his pad, but he nonchalantly turned all the pages to the back of the pad to list named "debts" with big letters. - "Will not let go a lady without a drink when it's hella hot outside, would be rude, am I rite?" - He looked you in the eyes with an innocent look of a sheep. You smiled back at him.
"Tell me ya name, girl." - He clicked the pen with his eyes centered at your eyes going through his list. You saw Rue's name there as well, being repeated a serious number of times which made you sure of one thing - this man had to be cool. If he was Rue's friend, he meant no harm for you.
"Y/N, my name's Y/N and I would like to have a Cherry Bubble Paradises soda, please." - You smiled and he wrote down your name in surprisingly nice handwriting and added small 1.15$ in the end, then clicked his pen again.
"That's that. Pay me back when ya can, I wouldn't hunt down people for one dolla but I remember the debts in 'ere. I have a memory of ya face. Ya know?" - He looked at you one last time before closing the pad. You nodded and promised to pay back when you find your purse.
And you almost fainted when you got out of the shop. He was handsome in his own kind. The tiredness and slow, low voice made him mysterious and his flat eyes were a picture which you knew you won't forget for a long time. It was like he concentrated at nothing but you, but he looked into the distance all the time, being out of his own head.
You almost didn't drink any of that precious cherry-flavored soda during your way home. Like if he would change his mind and after you for his 1.15$ in cash. At home, when your phone automatically connected to wi-fi, a few texts from Jules appeared on your phone.
First was a photo of your hella old purse with Skullcandy logo on it. The next one was:
Babez ♥: You forgot this at the cafeteria, babe, forgot to give it back, will u come for it around 4? Luv ya.
Ma girl: Sure, will be at ur place in ten. Be ready babez. See ya there.
“I will go to see Jul.” - You leaned onto the counter, looking your ma into her face.
“The school ended an hour ago. You miss your besties that much?” - She laughed in response and continues to chop the pepper in small pieces.
“No. I forgot my purse back at cafeteria and Jules took it for me and now she has it. I have my ID and my money in it, it is just better to have it with me. It will take an hour or less, I swear.” - You begged. But Jules or the purse was not exactly the idea you got so excited for. You could ride back to the small store and pay your debt. And to see him once again.
“Oh, okay. You are right. You better get your purse back. Go, be back before dinner.” - Mom smiled at you.
“I will take Cal's bike!” - You yelled before taking off the house, sitting on Cal's bike and riding to Jules' house. They had a lovely house in a seriously quiet and calm neighborhood, so you could ride your bike through the middle of the street without being afraid of meeting a car. Jules was already waiting for you in front of the house, waving at you with a shy smile.
“I love you.” - You said and exhaled deeply, holding the bike with your thighs and taking the purse to you hoodie. Jules giggles and hugged you tightly.
“I will need to go home again. I'm sorry. I don't have much time to spare, babe.” - Jules said with a sad voice. You were sad as well because you loved to spare your time with Jules, but you also were looking forward to seeing the man and to give him his money.
“I will have to survive that. See you tomorrow.” - You left her there, riding off on your brother’s bike to the center of the town, making a run for all of it. But when you have stormed into the little shop, just a small boy was behind the counter, talking with the plus-sized girl you’ve been seeing at the school. He had tattoos under both of his eyes and seemed to be seriously out of this world, all serious thug and don't giving a single fuck.
“Hey.” - The girl turned at you and gave you a quick smile. Then she looked at the boy as you nodded at her to say hi to her as well. She quietly said something to him and left, patting you lightly onto your shoulder. She always smiled at you, so you found her nice.
“Who you?” - The boy sat on the counter, looking you down and up.
“Who am I? No one, your friend sold me a lemonade on a debt so I’m here to pay for it.” - You held your purse high and smiled a bit. The boy nodded, reaching out for the pad, taking a pencil from behind his ear.
“Y/N?” - He looked at you for a second as you gave him the money you have promised. You said a quick and quiet “yeah” before he stroke your name out of the list. You gave him the money and nodded, leaving the shop with a small frown.
You were not glad that boy with the flat eyes was gone and you didn't manage to see him for the second time.

TO SEE YOU AGAIN (DEAN WINCHESTER STORY) PART. 20
Y/n's POV:
These past four months have been the hardest for me and Sam. I try to help him but he blamed himself and I did the same with myself. Sam would disappear for days then come back. I couldn't sleep because when I closed my eyes I was able to see or more imagined what Dean was going through and I felt the same pain, how I felt my body being torn apart then put back together. The first time that I had those nightmares I had Sam to comfort me but it wasn't the same he wasn't Dean.
As the time went by I would disappear for weeks saying that I was going to the bar and on hunts to think and free my mind, but I wasn't. I drove to a different crossroads in town then out of town to make a deal, but none of the demons want to make a deal with me to bring Dean back. It was driving me crazy.
"you know Dean wouldn't like you to make a deal Y/n? He made me promise that I was going to protect you and stopped you from doing that" he said as he sat down in front of me, "yeah Sam I know" I said lying to him, "I will go to take a nap then I will bring us food is that alright?" I said and he nodded and gave me a small smile that I returned. I went to my room and did something that I haven't done in years I prayed. I got on my knees and cross myself, "look, I know that I am not one of your favorites. I don't even know if you are real or not, but once again I just want to ask you for a miracle to bring Dean back, he deserves something better than what he has got. So, God, I ask you for a miracle to bring Dean back safe, that's all I ask for. Please and Thank you" I said and got up and grabbed the keys of my car to go to town, "hey Y/n I thought you said you were gonna take a nap?" Sam said as he saw me, "Not anymore Sam. You want the usual?" I asked and he nodded, "be careful alright," he said giving me another smile, "will do Sam," I said before I walked out.
~IN TOWN~
Tumblr media
I was walking around not really looking, having other thoughts on my mind which were really only about Dean. I bump or more like slammed into someone and I fall on my butt, "I'm so sorry Miss" the guy said as he turns around to help me up, "no, it was my fault.  So I am sorry for slamming into you Mister" I said as I look up and saw that he was wearing a black dress shirt, "Don't call me Mister you make me feel old" he said as he looked down and smile at me and I smile at him back, "thank you... uh I guess young fella for picking me up even when it was my fault" I said and he laughs at what I said and I saw those big blue eyes that twinkle, "no problem, young gal and have a good night" he said as he started to walk away and I just stood there looking at him walk away, "good night to you too!" I said loud and he turns and waves, "may God bless you," he said and it made me froze, then I continue to go and get the food for me and Sam. After that day I left for Iowa to try again to make a deal.
Dean's POV:
"Help! Help! Help!" I said as I was pounding on the wood that was above my head as dirt falls on my face and I continue to pound.
I was in the middle of a grassy field, a simple wooden cross is planted as I crawl my way out of the ground, groaning and gasping. I lie on my back, panting. I stand looks around in the glaring sunlight.
I walked until I saw an abandoned Gas Station and I entered, "Hello?" I say but no one answers, so I enter and took some water to drink I was really thirsty. I started to get more water to take and I see a Newspaper and it says that is Thursday, September 18th. I cleaned myself and started to look on my body and see that nothing that happened to me in Hell is there no scars, well just a hand-print on my left shoulder.
I go to the counter, set down the bag, and hit a single button on the register, snapping my fingers in satisfaction when it pops open. As I'm looting the cash, the TV to my left flicks on, showing only static. I shut it off; only to have a radio to my right turn on to white noise. Not wasting a moment, I go to another shelf and grabs a carton of salt, opens it, and begin to pour it along the windowsill.A high-pitched single tone begins, and I clutch my left ear in pain as I continue to pour salt with my right hand. As it continues, I drop the salt and crouch to the floor, groaning in agony. The window above my head shatters as the sound continues, and I drop to the floor. I leap to my feet to try to escape, and more glass on the ceiling and walls shatters. I went to a phone booth that was there and dial Sam's and Y/n's number but they don't answer, so I try another number. This time it rings and is answered."Yeah?" he said and I was happy to hear his voice, "Bobby?" I said looking around, "Yeah?", "It's me," I say and still sounds that he doesn't recognize me, "Who's "me"?" he says confirming what I thought, "Dean," I said and a dial tone sounds, so I hang up and dial again. "Who is this?" he said again, "Bobby, listen to me" I try to stop him from hanging up, "This ain't funny. Call again, I'll kill ya" he said and the dial tone again. ~AT BOBBY'S~
I pound on the door, and Bobby's hand appears to open it. I smile cautiously, but Bobby looks at me suspiciously. "Surprise," I said, "I, I don't..." Bobby says, "Yeah, me neither. But here I am" I said entering. As I approach him he lunges forward and slashes me, so I grabbed his arm and twist it around, he breaks the grip and backhands me in the face. "Bobby! It's me!" I said but still, he doesn't believe me, "My ass!" he said and I put a chair between the both of us, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait! Your name is Robert Steven Singer. You became a hunter after you met Rodney, and later met your wife and... you're about the closest thing I have to a father. Bobby. It's me" I said raising my hands and he lowers his knife and places his hand on my shoulder, suddenly he slashes again, but I quickly subdue and disarm him. "I am not a shapeshifter!" I said but he can't hear me or something, "Then you're a Revenant!" he said and I shove him away and hold the knife, "Alright. If I was either, could I do this – with a silver knife?" I said rolling my sleeve and slicing my arm, "Dean?" he said starting t believe me, "That's what I've been trying to tell you" I said and he grabs me and pulls me into a tight hug and I return it.
Tumblr media
"It's... It's good to see you, boy" he says and I felt relief, "Yeah, you too," I said smiling at him, "But... how did you bust out?" he said and I really had no idea, "I don't know. I just, uh, I just woke up in a pine box..." I didn't finish cause Bobby splashes water on my face, "I'm not a demon either, you know" I said spitting the water, "Sorry. Can't be too careful" he said giving me a towel that I use to wipe my face, "What do you remember?" he asked, "Not much. I remember I was a Hellhound's chew toy, and then... lights out. Then I come to six feet under, that was it. Sam's and Y/n's number are not working. They're, uh... they're not..." I said imagining the worst, "Oh, he's alive. And as far as I know, she is too" he said sitting down, "Good... Wait, what do you mean, as far as you know?" I asked him what he means, "I haven't talked to her for months. Sam calls some days to check-in" he said, "You're kidding, you just let her go off by herself?" I said getting angrier, "She was dead set on it and Sam was with her for a while," he said, "Bobby, you should've been looking after both Sam and her, you saw how she reacted!" I said raising my voice, "I tried. These last months haven't been exactly easy, you know. For them or me. We had to bury you" he said trying to make understand, "Why did you bury me, anyway?" I said curiously, "I wanted you salted and burned. Usual drill. But... they wouldn't have it" he said suspiciously, "Well, I'm glad they won that one," I said, "she said you'd need a body when she got you back home somehow. That's all she said while Sam just didn't want to listen. Both insisted that she was acting differently" he explained, " What do you mean?" I asked him to elaborate," she was quiet. Real Quiet. And then she just took off. Wouldn't return my calls. I tried to find her, but she didn't want to be found by me. And Sam said that sometimes she will show up stay for a day then leave for weeks" he said and I got mad, "Oh, damnit, Y/n" I said hitting the table, "What?" he said not understanding my actions, "Oh, she got me home okay. But whatever she did, it is bad mojo" I said shaking my head, "What makes you so sure?" he looked at me with concern, "You should have seen the gravesite. It was like a nuke went off. And then there was this... this force, this presence, I don't know, but it, it blew past me at a fill-up joint. And then this" I said and show him the handprint, "What in the hell?" he said as he stands up, "It was like a demon just yanked me out. Or rode me out" I said having my mind going wild, "But why?" he asked, "To hold up their end of the bargain," I said and I saw the worried on his face, "You think Y/n made a deal," he said as the concern grew on his face, "It's what I would have done," I said and I didn't know what to think.
Me and Bobby left to Kansas where Sam was and to see if he knew anything about Y/n.
Y/n's POV:
It's been a couple of days since I left for Iowa and I have tried at least 5 times to get a deal, but all of the demons don't accept my soul at all.
~At night~
Today it is my last hope to see if I can get a deal so I can bring Dean back, I did the whole ritual and waited for a demon to show up, I was losing my hope when I felt someone behind me and I turn to see him.
Tumblr media
" Hello darling, you come to daddy," he said and I just looked at him and recognize him, "Crowley?" I said and he smiled at me, "so my demons said that my special one was trying to make a deal" he said and I rolled my eyes at him, "I'm not your special one Crowley. You should know that I don't like you" I said crossing my arms, "C' mon darling you do like me admit it" he said and I just looked at him, "yeah maybe the size of a mustard seed. But why the King of Hell is here instead of your minions, huh" I said and he raised his eyebrows, "well Darling you see, your soul has something special that I would like to have and I wasn't going let them have it, so I told them to not made any deals with you until I was able to come to make it" he said, "can you bring him back?" I asked him and he gave me a bitch face, "of course Darling, but in exchange for something" he said looking at me up and down, "what do you want in exchange for bringing him back?" I said as he started to walk around me, "you see as the King of Hell I need to have a Queen, and who would it be the best Queen that one of the most feared female hunters, that has a special soul like yours" he said licking his lips and I really wanted to puke, "Dean gets back and I have to go with you to Hell, for how long?" I asked accepting what I had to do, "well that's the thing. Is for eternity" he said and I gulped and looked down, "okay Crowley, where do I sign" I said and he looked surprised, "I thought I had to try to convince you more Darling, but I guess I was wrong" he said and I just wanted to finish this, "cut the shit Crowley and let's do this" I said and he took a step forward, "you have to kiss me Darling to seal the deal and your Ken doll would be back just like we said" he said and I took a deep breath and when I was about to step forward to kiss him my phone started to ring and I knew it was Sam for his ringtone, I stopped Crowley. "I have to answer this first," I said and took a step back.
"yes Sam," I said and Crowley looked at me, "he's alive Y/n!, alive!" he said and I couldn't understand what he mends, "what? who is alive?" I said and Crowley raised his eyebrows and looked away from me, "Dean, he just arrived with Bobby at the Bunker. He-he-he is truly him Y/n" he said and I felt that all the blood was drained from my body, "Sa-Sam don't play with me please" I begged him as tears started to blurry my vision, "sweetheart is me is really me please come back I missed you" I heard that voice that I've been missing for months and I dropped my phone to the ground as tears ran down my face. I pick it up and walked towards my car, "what about the deal?!" Crowley screams at me, "forget it you lied to me!" I said as I drove off.
Dean's POV:
It's been about 7 hours since we talked to Y/n and I just wanted to hold her and tell her that everything will be okay, and that I was never going to leave here ever again.
The 3 of us were at the kitchen, but soon it was just me cause the 2 of them left.

I wasn't gonna go and wait there so I decided to go to our room and sat down on the bed waiting, but I couldn't help to wonder all the bad things that can happen to her, to me, to us. I couldn't help but cry and wipe my tears as more started to run. I listen to footsteps it seemed that someone was running but I didn't bother to look at the person that enter my room, "Dean?" I heard a broken voice said and I felt my heart pump faster and I turn to see her. I stand up and run to her and picked her up on my arms as she wrapped her arms around my neck and her legs around my waist, "thank God you are here" she said as she held me closer and I did the same. I kissed her slowly showing her all the love and how much I missed her.
I felt that I was complete again I put her down and grabbed her face and kissed her again and again, " I love you, Dean, you don't know how hard it was" she said as tears started to ran down her eyes and I wiped them with my thumb, "please baby tell me that you didn't make a deal please" I said and she looked down and took a deep breath, "I tried so many times, but none wanted to accept, well until tonight. But I said no cause Sam called" she said as she tries to smile at me with her teary eyes. I stopped holding my breath as I hear her said that I was really glad that she didn't and that we didn't have to be concern about how much time did we had left together. I kissed her again, "we need both of you at the library," Sam said making both of us break the kiss.

When we were walking towards the library Y/n was holding me close, just like the day that she almost lost Scott, I looked down and kissed her head and smile at her just like she did. We soon arrived and we saw someone standing in the middle with a trenchcoat, "who are you?" I asked, " Castiel" the guy answer and I moved Y/n behind me, "Yeah, I figured that much, I mean what are you?" I asked again as he kept looking staring at me, "I'm an Angel of the Lord" he answers, "Get the hell out of here. There's no such thing" I said and I felt Y/n move, "This is your problem, Dean. You have no faith. Unlike her she did and thanks to her faith I brought you back" he said and I was about to say something but Y/n beat me to it, " I know you, I-I saw you on town I bumped into you, but... you are using the guy as you meat suit" she said stepping forward,  "He's a devout man, he actually prayed for this" he answers and the lights started to flash and we were able to see his wings all of us took steps back but Y/n stayed in place even when I try to pull her, "so you are really an angel Castiel" she said and he nodded and step forward towards her and try to reach for her, but I saw her flinch, "I would never hurt you Y/n. You and Dean were chosen by God to accomplish his plan" he said as he caresses her face, "what plan?" Sam asked, "I have to go," he said and he disappears as we hear a flop of wings and Y/n just stays there not able to move and I move in front of her and snap my fingers and she shook her head and blinked, "what happens? where did he go?" she asked confused, "he had to go" Sam answer and I just embrace her and she did the same and I started to kiss her but soon it turns into something more, so I picked her up and I walked straight to my room and shut the door, "WE WILL BE ON THE BAR DEAN, IF BOTH NEED US!!" Sam scream and I really didn't care I just wanted to show her how much I missed her.
