Magik #1 (1983) MARVEL

Fall of the New Mutants ranks high on my list of story arcs centered around Magik. Belasco stole Illyana from her family as a child with one goal in mind, to use her to release the Elder Gods. Magik was kidnapped, abused, and manipulated for the sole purpose of becoming the catalyst for their destruction of creation.

New Mutants #21 (2011) MARVEL

Magik deceives everyone that she loves and puts earth at risk by recruiting David Haller / Legion to use his mutant powers to negate the existence of the Elder Gods from reality. Legion obliterates the gods, and returns the stolen pieces of Illyana and Pixie’s souls to them in exchange for his freedom.

New Mutants #25 (2011) MARVEL

Illyana’s plan succeeds, but it comes with a price. For manipulating the X-Men in her personal quest for vengeance against the Elder Gods, Magik is imprisoned in a mutant detention center known as the X-Brig, located miles beneath the island headquarters of the X-Men in San Francisco.

The entirety of Illyana’s existence up to this point was dedicated to battling the demonic corruption of her soul, and preventing an apocalypse by her former mentor’s deities. For years, I wondered what would happen once five Bloodstones were created and placed into the Beatrice Medallion. This event unfolds in Fall, and it is epic. Illyana’s revenge against her captor’s ancient gods after years of build-up is satisfying, if bittersweet. Zeb Wells really crafted an iconic moment in Magik’s character biography.

You have no idea how long this took me. Not because it was hard, so to speak, but because I had nO TIME TO DRAW IT---

BUT. It's done. Congrats to the one person who guessed Leo could use portals to fly -- that was like. A huge plot point I wanted to delve into.

It's not satisfying to him, so to speak. As he says, it's not ACTUALLY flying. There’s not a lot of control here, he can’t maneuver or turn without needing another portal boost. Plus, he doesn't exactly LIKE the feeling of falling, knowing that should he screw up, should he not catch himself, or should his portals fail him like they do oh so often, he doesn't have any natural way to save himself... A fear that was only truly realized after Draxum tossed him off a roof.

However, the method helps ease his desire a bit. It's something he'll do for hours at night, when he can't sleep, until he's exhausted his mystics or the feeling of freefalling just gets to be a little too much for him. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Deathclaws have had some conflicting lore and design over the years so I want to help fix it by telling you my species theory.

(normal deathclaws: fallout 1-2-3-new Vegas)

Thies are the most common deathclaws found almost everywhere in the wastland. They live in large groups.

(furry deathclaws: fallout tactics: brotherhood of steel)

Furry deathclaws are deathclaws that live near Kansas or places in America with cold winters or weather the also live in groups, tho most think tactics is non cannon I would like to think it is.

(brute deathclaw: fallout 4-76)

Thies deathclaws are the heavily armored and more solitary deathclaw species preferring to be alone then in groups like furry or normal deathclaws.

1) If Kate doesn't run into Illyana’s arms the way Illyana ran to her at the Resurrection Party, it would be a missed opportunity lol

2) I really hope we get to see Kate's reaction to knowing that Illyana is alive. We should at least get that since we never saw Illyana’s reaction to finding out Kate was murdered.

3) I hope Kate is so relieved and happy that Illyana is alive that she just takes her away from everyone else, phases them both to her little room, and fucks her brains out lmfao

Ugh I hate this. I like Peach as an artist but I don’t like that this is erasing all of Kate’s Jewishness that was so prominent and important in the Krakoa era. This also feels like a X-men Gold, pre-Emma mentorship take on the character. I am only going to be okay with this if is leads to her being with Magik but I still feel like early 2019 Marauders pirate, Jewish bisexual chaos Kate would be the best stage to finally acknowledge her feels for Illyana

I have a question! EXTREMELY URGENT!

So, we know that the photo Future Leonardo hands Casey Junior hasn't been taken yet in the present.

Raph: "Who are you? Why do you have a picture of us?" Leo: "Yeah, who took this? 'Cause I look great!"

In the picture, April's holding a binder with "Eastlaird University" written on it.

We know that she's already a freshman student in the movie, because she posts her university daily news and knows her way around the building.

That means it can't be her "getting into college" celebration picture, and it also can't be her graduation picture because the Kraang invasion happens in August (and there's no way Eastlaird University remained open for even a semester in the future).

When did they take that picture?
