I hope The Spot gets to die as a himself like pre-powers. It’s likely he’s gonna destroy himself trying to destroy Spider-man (I think he’s gonna for the mythos of the hero not just Miles, if the flash forward is any prediction) cause he’s either not gonna be able to handle the full effects of his abilities it and needs to be saved but it’s too late for him or does some not fully redeeming sacrifice as he realizes he didn’t have to resort to villainy and doesn’t want to go out with people fearing him rather than respecting.

It’d make the point that anyone can be Spider-man under the mask string as it’d point out that depending on circumstances anyone could become anything. In this case none of them would know The Spot personally or even in passing as Johnathan Ohnn, so seeing a complete stranger, someone who could of been anyone, defeated at the end of the battle would invoke a lot with the random chance and fate that comes along with being Spider-man if not just going through life rather than the adherence to canon events that is trying to be pushed on characters.

I feel like giving the Spot his face back would just make the climax feel more complete, an odd commentary on being true to oneself even if it is past your time.

Some random spider noir information from the comics! I’ve specified where the movies might come in and fanon stuff!

Noir was raised to be and is a socialist activist.

Dude most likely has a 1920-30s NY Bowery accent.

His first run takes place in 1933, in ITSV he comes from 1933, his second run(EWAF)takes place 8 mo. after, so he’d be coming off EWAF to ATSV.

Age wise this makes him 17-20.

Noir has been spiderman for like 2 yrs at most by ATSV, he started in 1933 and is from 1933 in ITSV.

Was bitten by a mythical spider rather than a radioactive one(its a whole thing let’s not get into it).

His costume is/based on his Uncle’s WW1 fighter pilot outfit

He has a black cat named Ding Ding.

Has an ambiguously strained relationship with aunt May bc she’s against killing, he is not.

Yes, he kills Nazis.

Yes, his uncle was cannibalized, his ‘love’ interest had her face mutilated, and his best friend was lobotomized.

Had two paternal figures named ‘Ben’ who died lol.

One of the few spiders who are always strapped.

Has organic black webbing!

If I’m remembering this right unlike the other Peters he’s more interested in physics than bio.

In the comics he’s not as physically strong as the other spiders and carries around a small vile of venom for emergencies.

He lives/grew up in a Bowery welfare center with his Aunt and Mj(sometimes) but later gets his own office/apartment.

Recruited to Superiors death squad before working with the other spiders.

Has died at least once(confirmed), but implied multiple times, and was resurrected from another dimension by a spider god back to his own universe.

Fanon wise, most people call him some variation of Benjamin(while avoiding Ben lol) like Benj, Benji, B, etc. with various justifications but ultimately to more easily differentiate between the other Peters. Me personally, I think he takes on the name ‘Benjamin Urich’ but that’s a different post.

Noir does have canon love interests. He has had a romantic(mostly sexual) relationship with White Widow aka Felicia Hardy, but she was like 40 he was like 16/17 it’s weird and gross. He has also had a weird relationship with his MJ but it’s not super flushed out and he even says in the comics it’s strained, so most fanon views her as a sister figure.

Fanon wise, he is often shipped with his best friend Robbie Robertson(who dies very traumatically) or Jean DeWolfe, a federal agent, he’s seen working with. Recently, I’ve seen him shipped with a lot more characters, most notably Ham, Hobie, and Miguel.

Hey uh quick question:

Does Mary Jane canonically have any other past love interests?

I was just thinking how many romantic interests Peter's had in the past.

Mary-Jane being the most popular of them all, followed by Gwen Stacy, Felicia Hardy (Black Cat), and Betty Brant.

This list also is missing Cindy Moon aka Silk, in which Peter and her had a sexual but not fully romantic relationship.

Then I realized, does Mary Jane have any exes?

Like.. an ex-boyfriend? Or a dude she's actually shown having a full relationship with, like he is with Gwen.

Recently in the comics we got Paul - but he was horribly written, and they glossed over how they got together, the kids they seem to be raising together, etc etc, for the sake of drama.

In Spider-man 2 we see her engaged to John Jameson, but he's a fucking cardboard cutout of a person with barely any plot weight and no relationship development.

I mean REAL exes we see her have a connection or at least complex relationship with - in the way he does Felicia.

Felicia has exes - A LOT. Flash Thompson, her and Cindy Moon have a thing, Matt Murdock, etc.

But then again, Felicia is portrayed as the 'sneaky city girl' and MJ as the lovely loyal faithful girl in the chair back home.

As soon as Peter start irking her Felicia be like:

Earth-6198 Flash ref!! Yippee!!

His appearance and personality are based almost entirely off of MCU Flash (with some of my own personal touches obviously), though the reasons he acts the way he acts are different. I also took several aspects from the comics, story-wise. He’s probably the character I’ve put the most thought into for this AU. I love him dearly :]

Abbreviated info under the cut! (It’s still pretty long, though.) Content warning for ableism.

I wouldn’t call Flash a bully exactly, because that would imply aggression; he’s just, well, a teenage boy. He also comes from a pretty wealthy family, which makes him entitled, plus his parents don’t really give him any positive attention. He makes insensitive jokes and generally tries to keep himself as the center of attention because he’s insecure and seeks approval from his peers. Will do pretty much anything to be liked, and if that fails he’ll act out for attention. He’s very resentful of anyone he considers to be smarter or “better” than him. Flash has a running rivalry with Harry Osborn. Harry is somewhat GNC, has stereotypically “cringe” interests, and is disabled (t1d) so he’s an easy target for Flash’s mean jokes. (Flash thinks that he’s “allowed” to make ableist jokes at others’ expense because he himself is disabled.) 

Flash has cerebral palsy which affects his fine motor skills and ability to walk. His parents got him into physical therapy as early as possible, and he responded well to it— but not well enough for their liking. In Harrison Thompson’s mind, the goal wasn’t to improve Flash’s quality of life, but to “fix” him. Flash grew up with his parents constantly looking down on him, insinuating that his disabilities were his own fault. Sentiments like “you just have to work harder to compensate; if you fall behind, it’s because you’re not trying hard enough” were common. He’s taken that mentality to heart, and has very little self-worth + large amounts of pent-up stress and anger that he takes out at anyone else who is also “abnormal” (hence his meanness towards Harry). 

He has also latched onto Spider-Man as a more… positive(?) reflection of these feelings— his father, who’s a police chief, hates Spidey, so liking him is like Flash’s small way of going against the stuff his parents say (even if it’s subconscious/he doesn’t fully know that’s why). 

In sophomore year, Flash dated Felecia Hardy. They were the world’s most obnoxious couple, always getting in very public fights, breaking up but then getting back together dramatically a week later, etc. Felecia and Flash both have huge crushes on Spider-man, leading Flash to have a sexuality crisis and Felecia to break up with him for good after a few months of dating.

Black Cat was commissioned by an anonymous benefactor to steal an “alien clone” from Alchemax… she’d never done anything NEARLY on that level, but she was being offered a lot of money so she agreed. She did manage to steal the thing, but the deal fell through, and suddenly she had one lab-grown alien and no money to show for it.  At a loss for anything else to do, panicking a little, Felicia dumped the alien onto the only person she could think of: her ex-boyfriend Flash. 

Now, despite what his parents might tell him, Flash is very smart, and figured out what the thing was. Flash is, at first, very hyped about this. His first thought is, of course, to become a vigilante like his idol Spider-Man. Flash has a strong desire to be useful— not in the “I want to help other people” sense but in the “I need to prove to others that I have worth” sense. So, he crafted the Anti-Venom identity for himself!

Around this time, Spider-Man was in the process of fighting his first big villain, Hobgoblin, so the two ended up teaming up to try and take her down (in the least violent way possible). This caused some internal conflict for both Flash and Spidey… 

Flash centered his whole identity around "fitting in" to the point that he actually has no identity of his own. He doesn’t know what he likes, he has no concept af his own style outside of mimicking others that he sees as influential, obviously the most prominent of these being Spider-Man. Which obviously comes with its own twisted irony since Spidey himself is so insecure in his own masculinity (mainly because he’s trans). The two of them were sort of trapped in this feedback loop of insecurity and validation when they first teamed up... Spidey longs for connection, but was unable feel comfortable around Flash as he felt like he has to perform to live up to Flash’s expectations. Meanwhile Flash had based his whole personality off of liking Spider-Man and put on this macho facade to try and impress him. But that just made Spidey feel more inferior, afraid he isn’t passing well enough, etcetera… their dynamic made even more complex by Flash’s very obvious (and unrequited) crush on Spidey.  They’re awful, I love them :3

You mentioned that due to your dancing background that you walk on your toes. Felicia adores that about you, she likes to think that you glide as an angel should never touch the ground. With her profession, it can also be a blessing with the amount of sneaking she has to do, she draws inspiration from your movements and implements them into her own.

Now what is a black cat without her witch? The fact that your wardrobe happens to match her alter ego, well Felicia absolutely loves it. This fact alone is why she calls you her special nicknames like witchy, sorceress, enchantress etc. She’ll even go as far as to use cheesy lines such as “I’m under your spell” or “it must be the love potion”.

After what has happened in her past, she tends to avoid large crowds or events that could lead her back to her past. So she likes to be amongst a smaller group, she doesn’t mind what they’re doing as long as it doesn’t involve a whole party of people. She’s like you in a way, happy to stand outside the venue and continue the conversation, it’s more personal that way. She sighs when you tell her, thankful that someone else just gets it. She feels safe around you.

To maintain your interest and engage in your need to not be bored, Felicia shares little jobs with you. She will hand you floor plans, locations of security cameras. She’ll ask you to stake out the staff, gain an idea of their schedules. She will lead you to safes or vaults that are encrypted, just so you can spend your time searching for the code. There is never ending jobs to be done that there is no time to be bored.

If that isn’t enough, in her down time, she will make sure to plan dates or experiences or holidays with you. It will have all the thrills with the added bonus of together time. Which Felicia has a hard time balancing so she tries her best to accomodate both her personal and work life.

There would be no sneaking around if you were in Hogwarts. A ravenclaw often attracts another and that is exactly what happened. You two would cause chaos in class with the amount of smarts and wit that you possess. I feel you would give the Weasley twins a run for their money, always in competition to see who can one up each other

Another day, another pride headcanon! Today we'll be talking about:

Cindy Moon, AKA Silk, who is absolutely bi.

So, before we go any further here, consider this your sign to go read some Silk stuff if you haven't yet. Legit my favorite character to come from the original Spider-Verse other than Gwen.

Now, to the point: Cindy's bi-ness is, to me, made obvious in a few ways. First and foremost is that she had a boyfriend she loved very much in high school, and she and Peter had that... thing going on for a bit there. On the other hand, we have her dynamic with Black Cat. You could absolutely take that shit any number of ways, but I love the idea of them starting to fall for each other, Cindy feeling things she hasn't felt since before the bunker and Felicia finally thinking she has someone to trust again, before the big confrontation screwed eeeeeverything up. Then there's also this:

Like. C'mon. That's ridiculously gay. Also that time she just instantly gay-dar clocked her coworkers and set them up together. Girl was cut off in the 2000s and was a kinda comfortable and familiar with queerness that I would find shocking if it wasn't based on personal experience.

Even setting that all aside, though, I wanna comment on one more thing with how Cindy's story works well for basically any queer identity: the bunker as a metaphor for the impact of being closeted. Cindy missed years of her life, time she will never get back, and it traumatized her reeeeeal bad. Similarly, we as queer people frequently "miss out" on huge chunks of life (dating as teens, being who we really are with the people we love, etc...) that we can't ever get back, and that's traumatizing too. It's not the same, but it sure rhymes.

[IDEA THAT'S NOT YET A PITCH]

Marvel's Damage Control

What is it —

A female-led Marvel action-superhero series that instead of being the type of pandering and obnoxious girl power schlock that we have today, is a throwback to 2000s and early 2010s action cartoons that wipe the floor with modern garbage.

PREMISE:

Heavily implied to be in the same continuity as The Spectacular Spider-Man, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Wolverine and the X-Men, a now college student Mary Jane Watson is looking ahead for her future but is currently struggling to keep up with the rest due to certain personal issues in her private life.

Accepting an opportunity that could potentially make her life now easier and even set her future in stone, MJ learns the hard way that sometimes taking what appears to be the easy route isn't always the best option when she discovers it's nothing more than a horrible ruse that lands her into a secret street level conflict between a now solo Susan Storm/Invisible Woman, a now solo Emma Frost, Felicia Hardy/Black Cat, Sable Manfredi/Silver Sable and a now solo Tandy Bowen/Dagger. That is until a series of new threats emerge that affects them all in some way, shape or form and the six of them end up forming an unlikely team whose job is to be a clean-up crew that specialize in dealing with the aftermath of superhero conflicts, rescheduling events because of the conflicts and retrieving lost items. Turns out for Mary Jane, it pays really well.

NOTES/TRIVIA/DETAILS:

• Yes, it will be directly implied to be set in the Yost-Verse continuity. Not only will all the voice actresses — Vanessa Marshall, Erin Torpey, Kari Wahlgren, Tricia Helfer and Nikki Cox — reprise their roles but there will be a definite wink-wink, nudge-nudge to the events of the previous three shows. The idea for it is that several things (in this case, Spectacular, EMH and Wolverine) happened, they all of a sudden went dormant but now BOOM! it's back and the shadows here are moving again, everything is moving under the goddamn sun and you pick it up from there.

• The Damage Control team will be a more than unconventional team that come into conflict over different things with the big ones being Black Cat and Silver Sable aren't afraid to get their hands dirty since they're basically villains-turned-anti-heroes while Mary Jane's personal life plays a role in the events for the team. However, it's at the end of the day that it's revealed they're an incredibly effective and capable team that get the damn job done.

• One thing that will be played for humor and help define and establish the tone of it where it's more on a somewhat grounded level is that the team, much to her dismay, decide to live together in Mary Jane's apartment where she shares the same bed as Sue and Sable who ultimately act as caring mother figures to her.

• Another thing that will differentiate it from others is that the six leads will actually have their bumbling and screw-up boobish moments (a la Elastigirl checking herself out in the mirror, Kim Possible accidentally landing into the arms of a Bebe and then being thrown etc.) to show that despite being "strong, female characters" they are far from perfect but it makes sense in context because Mary Jane is just starting out as a superhero, Susan, Emma and Cloak are just starting as solo heroes and Black Cat and Sable are just starting out as anti-heroes so they're all bound to screw up when they're in action.

• Now this is just for fun but there will be a few easter eggs, references and flat-out and direct cameos either to or from other non-superhero media that establishes a retroactive shared universe. I mean hey if fucking Ultimate Spider-Man can do it with Jessie, thus having it be part of the Disney Channel Universe officially than why can't I with this. For example, Sable finds herself stuck in an elevator with a certain eccentric black woman who turns out to be security after having worked at the infamous C.U.R.E. Institute — it's motherfucking Denise Hemphill from Scream Queens with Niecy Nash reprising her role.

Day 3: Dancing in the Dark — Moonlighting across the city’s rooftops is just another night in the life of Peter “Spider-Man” Parker and Felicia “Black Cat” Hardy. Whether it’s tag-teams, team-ups, dancing on rooftops, or something a little more...intimate. What do these two get up to in the twilight hour?

Day 4: Cat’s Cradle — Cat’s cradle has many meanings. Intricate traps, schemes, and masterplans. Explorations of truths and lies. Or go literal and try domesticity by giving our Cat an actual cradle (read: baby). 

Day 5: Lost & Found — Whether it’s old spider-tracers, photos, a trinket Peter definitely knows was stolen, or maybe it’s hidden or misplaced feelings being brought up again. There are a lot of possibilities for this slot especially for our favorite complicated couple. Lost & Found is a day to explore things oft forgotten being brought to light. 

Day 6: Honor Among Thieves — With both Peter and Felicia operating outside the law nothing is stronger than trusting the one next to you no matter the circumstance. What are the depths these too will go for each other? 

Day 7: Free Day! — Participant's choice! Go wild, get creative because anything goes for this slot! If you missed a previous day’s deadline, you can use this one.

with felicia, things like these are never straightforward. because if asked personally? she'd most likely say something about how ' she does not have bad days, ' &. flash that signature, charming smug grin. but in truth? : of course she does. despite her ability, which is a big advantage in many aspects, it doesn't completely secure her from misfortune.

it very much depends what happens : felicia has a diamond shell around her skin, it is incredibly hard to get underneath it. however, if someone knows what strings to pull, it is possible. worst days for her? what immediately jumped to my mind moments where felicia lost in a fight against someone, her job ruined etc. i immediately thought about when she first fought against venom, when he attacked her to get information on spider - man, which despite losing, she did not spill anything. she managed to get away, but she was badly hurt. i think that has been one of the worst shapes felicia has been after a battle. the thing is : felicia is a woman of action. the only thing that pissed her more was the fact she couldn't go for round two against venom immediately. &. immediately being the key - word there, because as soon as she could, she willingly searched venom out, to match the score. she literally had no other reason. ( this, venom actually complimented her on. ) it ended up being a tie in the end. so in situations like this, felicia definitely will not sulk, she does the opposite of staying still.

but, there is that other side. felicia has a fight with someone she cares for? it depends what it is about, but she will most likely even then go on a prowl, just to ignore the fight. but loss, loss is something that has the ability to paralyze felicia. it is exactly why her circle is so incredibly small, at least those she allows to be genuinely close to her. due to this, she has rarely lost anyone quite so close, but the few times that has happened? she has locked herself into her apartment, she goes through the five stages of grief, but she does it alone, in her own head ... which is not healthy either. she will always bounce back, she forces herself to, but she will revert to the life of ' the black cat ' more than herself just as felicia.

I want a time skip. Will I get one? No, but I do. I want a time skip and I want it to be a year at minimum. I want Felicia/Black Cat to have already been Established as a presence in that year as both an ally and a lover because Peter needs to be in his hoe era already.

In MY dream world, the plot of the first movie lays the groundwork for Fisk being a Problem but is really more of a Cat and Mouse Spider game with Felicia and Peter, similar to the vibes of PS4 (but without the baby plot because that was a fun fic to write but that would make MCU Peter’s world too difficult)

(Bonus points if Matt shows up as Daredevil)

I want Peter, with Felicia’s help, to make the first steps to going to ESU and doing Other Shit. It’s about the bonding and the moving forward and relearning how to Exist in the world innit.

in MY dream world, the second movie (which had the stinger of MJ having that “oh shit” moment) is leaning MORE into the Fisk / city drama. I think Secret Wars will have already been a factor by this point so I’d love for the plot to be about Peter, the city, and second guessing everything and everyone. Fisk should be a more pronounced presence at this point that’s running for Mayor, being a Menace and overall causing Spider-Man’s life to be hell.

I want Peter to be a student at ESU, working shitty jobs, maybe even the irony of being a photographer and one at the Bugle you can do this Marvel I believe in you

I want MJ to confront Peter about Everything around the Climax so it’s a Wrinkle in the Narrative. I would CRY for crumbs and explanation for what she’s been doing, who she is, what her family thinks, what her dreams and aspirations are. She confronts him not because she’s still madly in love with him like an idiot but because she deserves BETTER dammit and he FUCKED UP and she wants him to KNOW he fucked up!!!!!

(I haven’t mentioned Ned because realistically I don’t think he’s coming back but if he does, I want him right there with MJ)

In MY dream world, the third movie is Kraven 😌 the threat is Fisk being threatening but it’s actually Kraven 😌 who wants to kidnap Spider-Man 😌 I want Kraven’s Last Hunt on the big screen 😌

Well..

1) I designed Sandlady first. having the initial idea as a joke and I can still clearly see sometime in the 80s or 90s when comics were going extra bizarre with different concepts and stories and takes on characters or introducing new ones or variants of existing ones etc etc. I could see a comic existing where there’s a female Sandman with pink sand and she looks like a summer beach barbie. The thought of that alone is what spawned Sandlady <3

2) I really do enjoy the little friendship and bromance between Rhino and Sandman, Besties for life, love them. So, of course I had to keep that and make Rhino a woman, too. I mean. tbh. we DO need more big buff women who could snap you in 2 in the world. Also gentle giant Rhino at heart lives rent free in my SOUL. So my Alex is also that. Big gentle giant of a woman who can and will crush mans head like sparrows egg if need be.

As for Kasady, I will have a post up shortly with the brand new symbiote that will essentially be the Carnage of this spiderverse! :) unhinged.

..also my black Cat will be a guy once I finally get around to drawing him. Felix Hardy is gonna be wearing just as much as Felicia does in canon. so that will certainly be a treat for the eyes I hope LOL

Michelinie usually stays away from the rogue's gallery and his run mostly consists of new characters/villains like Venom, Carnage, etc. Not with this storyline. Last time out, Electro appeared (briefly) and this issue has Scorpion as the main antagonist. Even Felicia Hardy joins in the fight! It's a lot of fun.

I have my theories but I must know yours moochie what is the dream for MCU peter from now on

seek, my beloved my dreams are big too big for the mcu so here is what i hope and actually can see happen going forward if the mcu writers use their brains

spider-man 4

i need peter to go back to the basics and fully focus on being a street vigilante that focuses on street crime but who does help other vigilantes in new york but with a whole lot of attitude (think the defenders/cloak and dagger etc) but overall is just a pretty lonely and sulky dude who is very much failing as a human being

the main villain will probably be scorpion who is being assisted by black cat trying to build his own criminal empire a la kingpin having learned a lot from toomes and prison.

OR

the main villain is indeed kingpin who has grown way more powerful than his d+ appearances with scorpion rising fast in his ranks so he is forced to team up with matt and has to learn that he needs help/people in his life

and maybe a side plot about numerous bodies turning up in new york which spider-man thought had something to do with scorpion/kingpin but finds out, in the end, they knew nothing about.

the overall theme is that peter parker needs people/spider-man needs people and he cannot continue living like this and that he needs to reach out to people which can be any of the new or old characters introduced or have michelle show up at his doorstep ready to raise hell

(if we go the kingpin route then mj will be reintroduced as a party girl who likes to dance at kingpin's clubs but is actually doing the groundwork for nelson and murdock investigator/lawyer mj so true)

the black suit is introduced in the after credits with johnny dropping it off after reed promised to fix it again depends on whether sm4 is after secrets wars and if he even makes an appearance in the show

for spider-man 5

peter and mj are desperately trying to fix their relationship but isn't really working because they don't know how to interact anymore because it is not like they had a regular break up and they don't know how talk without feeling like they are crossing boundaries

it is made worse because mj hates the black suit and feels like peter changes when he wears the suit and that he is way more aggressive wearing it but mj doesn't know how to fully address it because maybe he just changed during the time they were apart and when she does talk about he disagrees (and so does venom) and just have a huge fight and maybe his new friend felicia thinks he is just fine in his black suit ;)))

venom and mj hating each other is so important to me and the spider-man lore

but after overreacting to small time criminal peter realizes that mj was right and that he needs to get rid of suit which makes it end up with overworked bugle employee eddie who needs to needs to get dirt on spider-man/or if we go the kingpin route in the first film scorpion is the one who gets the symbiote

depending if they will push the ned is magic storyline i can see them going "the magic can bad" narrative with ned possible doing something detrimental for him and mj to get their memories because ned basically at best 5 years of memories and at worst over a decade of memories like that is gonna have some sort of reaction and we know memories are connecting with dark side so ned losing something to a devil/demon and we get hobgoblin for like a minute again it all depends on how we get memories back

kraven the last hunt : the live action like i need panel for panel, word for word translated on screen like the impact that would have like i would commit multiple crimes to see that on screen

the spider-man loves a good parallel and throwback so i expect sm4 to be like homecoming and sm5 to be like far from home

Well, yiu asked! Cindy: full of anger and grief but also filled with kindness. Her spider quips are more annoying in a deadpan way than the other spideys! Not the best at technology (due to being in a bunker for 10 years) she has every reason to become a villain but chooses to be a hero.

Her with Peter are more of sibling relationship? Like they look out for each other, check up on each other, etc. but leave each other to do their own things. Of course there's the whole pheromones thing everyone ignores too.

Her with Felicia. God. Welllll they have... history. Silk was a double agent for SHIELD undercover in Black Cat's gang. Felicia was just about to trust her completely when she learned about Silk double crossing and beat the living shit out of her. They've barely interacted meaningfully aince. Felicia is why Cindy learns about the Grey area between black and white and also going against the law to achieve good. She didn't want to turn Felicia in, but she couldn't figure out a way out of the mess before Felicia found out - very tragic
