Dyeing to See You Again
Tumblr media
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x fem!reader
Summary:  The need for a change of style brings about a reunion between Natasha and her old friend.
Warnings: light fluff, light angst
Words: 6659
Ohio - 1995
Three years ago, in the heart of the Midwest, a typical family of four moved into the ordinary suburban home next to yours.
Naturally, as their neighbor, you became interested in learning about the new family, especially since you found out that one of their daughters was similar to you in age.
Initially closed off in the beginning, you slowly chipped away at the girl’s cold exterior until eventually the two of you became inseparable friends, forming a close bond with her over the three years they’ve lived here so far.
Currently, you find yourselves in the bathroom of her home amidst a chaotic mess of scattered bottles of hair products and dyes, the result of two young teens messing around without supervision.
You watch as Natasha removes the towel from her head, revealing the experiment that the two of you have been working on, and your eyes widen in shock at the sight.
“Uh oh, Nat, I think we might’ve mixed up the wrong bottles,” you exclaim in a slight panic as you rush around to pick up the different dyes, trying to find the one that was applied to her hair.
“I’m so sorry, Natasha,” you apologize as you try to figure out where you two went wrong.
“No, no, it’s okay,” Natasha reassures, her voice distracted in awe as she examines the strands of her newly colored hair in the mirror.
“It’s blue,” you state plainly in disbelief at her untroubled state.
“Yeah, but…it was my choice,” Natasha says with a widening happy grin.
You drop the bottles in your hand and tilt your head at her in confusion.
“I thought you said that your mom was okay with this.”
Natasha makes an unsure sound before shrugging, “I’m sure she will be..I think.”
You twist your lips skeptically at her words as you stand and return to her side. Your hand raises to her hair, but before you touch it, you pause and look at her with a questioning look, silently asking for permission.
Over the time you’ve known her, you’ve learned how much Natasha values her personal space. The first time you patted her back in a friendly gesture, she pushed you away so hard that you scraped your hands while catching yourself on the ground.
Natasha apologized profusely immediately afterward and supported you home where she helped to tend to your wounds.
That was the first time you saw the true warmth that Natasha was hiding underneath her cold exterior as she cared for you.
At that time, she explained to you how she was not used to such friendly gestures like that from her peers and had reacted instinctively.
Hearing this, you decide to always ask if she’s comfortable before you touch her.
With her nod of permission, your finger gently threads through her now light blue hair, brushing it in contemplation.
“Well, I guess it’s fine since it’s summer, but you’re going to have to change it back before school starts,” you remark.
Natasha shrugs, unconcerned, before flashing you one of her rare teasing grins.
“I’ll just have you dye it for me again. Maybe next time it might actually be the right color.”
You huff in disbelief at her, but before you can point out she also contributed to the mistake, the sound of the front door opening and the call from Natasha’s mom, Melina, causes both of your eyes to widen.
Within the next second, the two of you scramble to clean up the mess in the bathroom, laughing with each other the entire time.
You never did get a chance to change her hair color back to normal.
Natasha and her family vanished without a trace before the end of that summer.
There was no note. No warning.
She was just suddenly gone from your life.
And though many years pass, you’ve always held onto the hope that someday you can see her again.

Ohio - 2018 (23 Years Later)
The peaceful ambiance of the late evening is pierced by the gentle chime of the bell hanging above the entrance to the hair salon, announcing the arrival of an unexpected visitor.
“Sorry, we’re closed,” you call out, your eyes still fixed on the task of sweeping the floor.
A familiar voice responds, breaking through your concentration.
“What about for an old friend?”
Instantly, you freeze in your movements and look up at the visitor, disbelief flooding your senses as you recognize the voice and then the face of the woman.
"Nat?" you utter in disbelief.
Natasha stands before you, a soft smile gracing her features as she greets you.
“Hey, Y/n.”
Abandoning everything in your hands, you rush towards her, only to stop short of barreling into her when you remember how she felt about her personal space.
To your surprise, Natasha pulls you into her arms for a tight hug, breaking the barrier herself.
Momentarily stunned, you quickly recover and return her warm embrace, tucking your head against her shoulder and letting out a breath of disbelief that she’s actually here in front of you.
The two of you stay in that position, reveling in your reunion with each other, before Natasha breaks the silence with a soft murmur against your shoulder.
“So, about that haircut?”
You chuckle, nodding in response to her request.
As Natasha settles into a chair, you move to secure the salon, locking the door and closing the blinds, shielding the two of you from prying eyes.
Despite the late hour and remote location, you’re not taking any chances.
Even though it has been years since you last saw Natasha in person, that doesn’t mean you didn’t eventually discover who she really was, recognizing her immediately through the news during the attack in New York and now with her current predicament.
But that’s her business.
You’re not going to bring it up unless she wants to talk about it.
Here in this moment, she's not a spy or the Black Widow. She’s simply Natasha, your friend.
And right now, she wants to change her hair.
Taking your position behind her, you place your hands on the back of the chair and meet her eyes in the mirror.
“So, what are we thinking?”
Natasha ponders for a moment before a teasing grin lights up her face, and she turns her head to look at you.
"We could attempt the platinum blonde again, maybe without the blue this time?"
You roll your eyes and shake your head with a laugh of disbelief at the memory of your past failed attempt at dyeing her hair.
Before you begin, you give her the same questioning look as when you were younger, silently asking for permission to touch her.
A small smile forms on her face at the familiar request, and Natasha nods to you before facing forward once again to give you access to her hair.
With her consent, your fingers gently thread through her hair, delicately brushing out the tangled areas as you go.
As you continue your actions, Natasha’s eyes flutter closed, and a relaxed expression crosses her face as the tension in her shoulder eases with every movement.
A happy smile tugs at your lips when you see this, so you continue your soothing actions as you inspect the condition of her hair.
“What did you do?” you ask in concern when you realize the state of her hair. “The ends are all burnt up. Did you light your hair on fire or something?”
Natasha chuckles lightly, her eyes still closed as she responds.
“Not exactly. I jumped off an exploding secret evil base that was floating in the sky.”
A brief pause follows as you process her words before you release a huff of disbelief at her casual explanation.
“Well, obviously one of us has chosen the more exciting career.”
You finish your assessment of the extent of damage to her hair before shaking your head with a resigned sigh.
“I don’t think these are salvageable. We might need to cut most of it off.”
“That’s fine,” Natasha answers calmly, unconcerned by the news.
“Seriously?” you ask, making sure she sees the length of how short her hair will be.
She meets your eyes in the mirror and gives you a reassuring nod.
“It’s not like I haven’t had that style before,” Natasha reasons before letting out a tired sigh. “Besides, a different look for me is probably better at the moment anyway.”
Understanding what she’s referring to, you don’t press further, replying with a soft, “Okay.”
You proceed with the transformation, draping a cape around Natasha’s shoulders before delicately combing through her hair.
With each snip of the scissors, you work meticulously with care, shaping Natasha’s hair into a style that would best complement her features.
Lost in your task, you can’t help but be captivated by her beauty, understanding how she came to be described as the spy who captures the hearts of all those who encounter her.
As you finish up with the haircut, the peaceful atmosphere of the moment is shattered by an alert from the tv, interrupting the currently airing program.
The late-night news anchor appears on the screen, delivering the all-too-familiar message that has become a nightly ritual.
“The search efforts are still ongoing for the fugitives Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff, also known as Captain America and the Black Widow. The two are currently on the run for violation of the Sokovia Accords. Any information regarding their possible whereabouts should be reported to—”
With a frown, you swiftly reach for the remote and shut off the tv.
Turning back, your frown deepens when you find Natasha rising from the chair.
“What are you doing?” you question, puzzled by her sudden action.
Natasha shakes her head with a grave expression as she removes the cape from her shoulders.
“This was reckless. I shouldn’t be here,” she answers, her voice filled with regret. “I’m just putting you at risk.”
Realizing her intention to leave because of the possible dangers of her presence, you interject firmly when she strides past you toward the exit.
"I'm glad that you did."
Your unexpected words cause her to pause in her tracks, confusion flickering across her face as she turns to meet your gaze.
"I don't care about the risks, Nat," you say, your tone unwavering and softening with a small smile at her.
“I’m glad that I got a chance to see you again.”
Natasha’s eyes widen slightly at your words, but a hesitant look still remains on her face, so you offer another reassurance.
“If I didn’t want you here, I would’ve told you to go already.”
Her gaze focuses on you in contemplation, and you know she’s almost convinced, prompting you to continue, your hand turning the chair around to her in invitation.
“Besides, I’m not finished yet. I still have to dye your hair and show you that I can get the color right this time,” you tease lightly.
A small smile tugs at Natasha’s lips, and a hint of amusement appears in her eyes as they soften into a fond look at you.
With one final contemplative glance to the exit, Natasha comes to a decision and gives in, settling back into the seat again.
“Alright, show me what you got.”
With her permission granted, you proceed with the dyeing process, your fingers moving with practiced ease as you bleach and tone her hair, removing the remnants of her signature vibrant red locks, before applying the blonde dye.
Your brows furrowed in concentration as you carefully coat each strand of her hair to ensure an even color in the end.
Meanwhile, throughout the process, Natasha watches you intently through the mirror, a tiny admiring smile pulls at the corner of her lips when she sees how focused you are on your work.
Once all that’s left is to wait for the dye to set, you disappear into the back of the salon in search of some snacks and return triumphantly with a tub of ice cream.
Offering Natasha a spoon with a playful grin, you both indulge in the sweet treat, the casual banter flowing effortlessly between you as if the years apart had never existed.
“So do you still live in the same neighborhood?” Natasha asks between spoonfuls.
You shake your head, explaining, “My parents are still there, but I moved out here years ago after fixing up this building for myself. My place is actually next door, though sometimes it’s hard to tell these are two separate buildings. You have no idea how many packages I end up never receiving because the mailman can’t find my home.”
The two of you share a laugh and continue reminiscing about past adventures and mishaps and then about your current lives.
Throughout the entire time, your questions to her remain light-hearted, carefully avoiding any mention of her current situation or her mysterious past.
Despite the happy atmosphere, your consideration for her only makes the sense of guilt within Natasha grow with each passing moment, reminding her of what she put you through.
Eventually, the room falls into a comfortable quiet as you clean up the empty containers and move to throw them away.
When you return, Natasha decides to address her mistakes and the role she played in the fracture of your friendship.
“I’m sorry,” she says softly.
You look at her with a perplexed look, tilting your head in confusion.
“For what?” you ask.
“For not telling you who I was…for leaving without any warning,” she confesses, her eyes closing briefly with remorse. “You didn’t deserve that.”
You lean back against the counter, arms crossed, your gaze dropping to the floor as you contemplate her words. Your thoughts and feelings about her apology remain inscrutable on your face.
After a brief pause, you finally meet her gaze again with a serious expression.
“Was it real?” you ask.
At your question, Natasha furrows her brows in confusion, causing you to elaborate.
“Our friendship,” you clarify, gesturing between the two of you. “All the times we spent together…was it real?”
Natasha pauses as she thinks back to her time undercover. The mission was to pose as a normal family to infiltrate and gather intel from a research lab nearby.
That didn’t necessarily mean she needed to form such a close relationship with you at the time.
So was her friendship with you genuinely her choice?
As Natasha contemplates her answer, you take a step closer to her, causing her focus to return back to you.
“The way I remember it, I wanted to be your friend,” you admit before giving her a knowing look. “And I’m guessing you didn’t have to be mine, at least based on all your brooding and glares that you gave me in the beginning.”
Natasha grimaces sadly at the memory of how distant and cold she was initially before giving you a curious look.
“So why did you try to become friends with me?”
You shrug, a nostalgic expression appearing on your face. You recall the first time you spotted the lone girl curled up into herself underneath the shelter of the branches of the trees.
“When I first saw you, you just…looked like you needed somebody on your side for once,” you admit softly before tilting your head at her. “And I thought… maybe I could be that person for you.”
Natasha’s mouth parts slightly in surprise at your answer. Before she can respond, her stunned silence is abruptly broken by the sound of the timer.
With a gentle shake of your head, you return your focus to her hair, positioning yourself behind her.
“You don't have to apologize, Natasha,” you assure her, your voice steady and comforting, as you delicately begin to unwrap her hair.
“Odds are I would’ve still chosen to be your friend whether I knew if you were a spy or not. And as for leaving…”
You recline her chair, her head now hovering above the washing station, as you let out a soft sad sigh and begin washing her hair.
“People come and go throughout our lives all of the time. And most of the time, we can’t stop it from happening.”
Your voice wavers slightly, the memories of the devastation you felt when you found out Natasha had left come flooding back.
Even though she wants to, Natasha can’t see what kind of expression you have on your face, your hand covering her eyes to shield the water from her face.
Shaking off the sad memory, you dry her hair and reposition Natasha upright. Your fingers glide through her newly shortened locks, combing them as you continue with a lighter and more upbeat tone.
“But the one thing we can do is hope that the people who truly mean something to us are the ones we’ll get to see again.”
Satisfied with the results of Natasha’s new hairstyle, your hands settle on the back of the chair, turning it so she faces the mirror.
Bending down, your head hovers beside hers as you meet her eyes in the reflection.
“And look, I got to see you again, didn’t I?” you say with a happy grin.
Natasha is stunned, her heart warmed by your words. She gazes at her reflection, admiring her new look, but her eyes keep returning to you, your words still echoing in her mind.
Oblivious to her awed stares at you, you return your focus to brushing her hair and examining it proudly.
“Do you like it?” you ask eagerly with anticipation when you finally look up back at her.
“Yeah,” Natasha responds honestly, her gaze fixed on you. “I do.”
You give her a beaming smile at her answer, causing the corners of Natasha’s lip to quirk up fondly at the sight.
After you do your finishing touches and declare that she’s done, Natasha stands from the chair and reaches into her pockets for the remaining money she still has on hand.
“How much do I owe?”
You wave your hand in refusal, shaking your head.
“Nothing, consider it a gift from a friend,” you insist, giving her a resolute expression, daring her to argue.
Huffing lightly under her breath at your determination, Natasha gives you a small smile as she relents with a soft, “Thank you.”
Her eyes glance at the darkness outside, seeing how late into the night it is, and she turns back to you, tilting her head in question.
“Can I at least walk you home then?” she offers.
You raise an amused brow at her, probably because your home most likely only takes less than a couple minutes walk from here.
Still, you agree to her request with a nod, unable to resist the opportunity to prolong this time together with her.
“Alright. Let me just close up.”
After you lock the shop, the two of you walk side by side along the sidewalk to your home before you suddenly stop and point to the lone motorcycle parked across the street.
“Is that yours?” you ask curiously.
“Yes, it is,” Natasha says proudly.
“It’s nice,” you compliment before you shoot her a teasing smirk. “It’s definitely cooler than that bicycle you used to ride.”
Natasha lets out a playful offended scoff in disbelief.
“Hey, you’ve always loved it when I let you ride on the back of that bike with me,” she points out.
You chuckle at her exclamation in defense of her precious bicycle, but you don’t deny her accusation.
Your heart warms at the memory of wrapping your arms around her waist, clinging to her from behind as Natasha rides her bicycle down the neighborhood streets.
Your eyes linger on her hand at her side, wanting to feel that warmth again, but you resist the urge to reach for her. Instead, you tuck your hands behind your back as the two of you continue your path.
Once you reach your front door, you turn back around to face Natasha, a somber expression settling over you.
“Will you ever come to visit again?” you ask with a tinge of hope in your tone.
Natasha hesitates, wanting to tell you ‘yes,’ but she knows better than to make promises that she can’t keep, especially with her current situation.
“I don’t know,” Natasha answers honestly in a soft whisper.
You dip your head slightly, a sad smile on your lip.
Natasha swallows her own desires in her heart and gestures awkwardly behind her.
“I should…probably get going before someone sees me,” she says with a small grimace.
You nod at her in understanding, moving to unlock and open your door.
“Stay safe, Natasha,” you tell her, your voice thick with longing. “If anything, I do hope I’ll get the chance to see you again one day.”
When you enter your home and close the door with a dull thud of finality, Natasha's hand rests gently against the solid barrier separating you.
Leaning her forehead against the cool wood, she whispers sadly, "Me too,” before finally turning away.

Ohio - 2018 (2 Months Later)
It was late one evening again when the bell above the door chimed just as you were cleaning up for the day. Looking up, a surprised and excited expression forms on your face when you see who it is.
“Can you take one more?” Natasha asks, a small smile also appearing on her face when she sees you.
With a light chuckle, you approach her, your hands clasped behind your back.
“For you, always,” you reply warmly, stopping in front of her with a fond tilt of your head.
Natasha bites her lips lightly to keep her grin from widening at your words. Just as she’s about to step closer, a gentle knock on the door behind her reminds her of her original reason for coming to see you.
“Actually, it’s not for me though,” Natasha explains before opening the door again and waving someone in.
A brown-haired girl cautiously steps into the salon at Natasha’s invitation. Her eyes look around, examining the room before falling on you with a wary gaze.
“This is Wanda,” Natasha introduces.
The girl gives you a timid wave in greeting from her crossed arm, but she subtly retreats to a position slightly behind Natasha.
Her expression is pinched with apprehension as if she’s anticipating some sort of reaction from you.
You recognize Wanda quickly from the nightly tv alerts, her picture now featured alongside Natasha’s after the news broke about a high-security prison break a month ago.
Before you can offer her some reassurance, another familiar face walks in.
“The perimeter is secure,” the man announces before focusing on you and extending his hand in a greeting. “Hello, I’m Steve.”
Reacting instinctively to his polite greeting, you shake his hand and introduce yourself.
“Hi, my name’s Y/n. I’m Natasha’s friend.”
Steve raises a brow at that and gives you a skeptical look.
“Just a friend? With the way Nat talks about you, I thought she was going to pull the same move as Barton and introduce us to her secret family.”
That draws a curious look from you as you ask him.
“What did she say?”
“Well—”
A loud cough from Natasha interrupts your conversation, drawing your attention before he can continue further.
Natasha’s subtle glare silences Steve, her arms crossed in disapproval, as she grits out to him, “Didn’t you say you wanted to see if you could find a place to resupply?”
Hearing this and wanting to offer some help, you raise your hand to get their attention and interject, “Most places around here are closed at this time, but…”
You pause as you go to the back and retrieve your keys and offer them to Steve, explaining, “...there is a convenience store around the corner that belongs to my ex’s grandparents. They gave me a spare key for if I ever need something. Just write down what you take and leave the money behind the counter. Oh, and the security cameras don’t actually work, so you don’t have to worry about that.”
Steve takes the keys from you with a grateful nod.
“Thank you, this’ll help us out a lot.”
He then turns to Natasha and Wanda.
“I'll meet up with you two when you finish up here then,” he says, heading towards the door.
“I can come help you,” Wanda offers, moving to follow Steve, but Natasha blocks her path with a knowing expression.
“You said you wanted to change your look since we’ll be going into hiding,” she reminds Wanda who twists her lips in disappointment when she realizes she failed to escape.
“I didn’t think that meant we would be forcing someone to do it for me,” Wanda says, still glancing at you with apprehension.
You wave your hand in reassurance, interjecting quickly, “Oh, I don’t mind. Natasha’s not forcing me to do this. I’m happy to help.”
“Well, that’s settled then,” Steve declares with an acknowledging nod to you. “Thanks again, Y/n.”
After a pointed gesture from Natasha, Wanda settles into one of the chairs with a small sigh.
Natasha leans against the counter facing you and Wanda as you move to your position behind the chair.
“So, what color did you want to dye your hair?” you ask her.
“It doesn’t matter,” Wanda replies with a resigned tone, her eyes downcasted and focused on her hands in her lap.
You frown slightly in concern at her defeated attitude, and you look at Natasha, giving her a meaningful look.
“What do you think, Natasha? I believe I got some new colors recently. Maybe purple or green would fit her,” you ponder out loud as if actually considering those options.
Wanda’s head shoots up in shock as she sputters incredulously, “Green?”
Natasha grins, catching on to your intentions, as she shrugs casually at your suggestions, adding, “You could never go wrong with blue.”
You laugh at her comment, nodding in agreement.
“Okay, okay, I get it,” Wanda says quickly, a hint of exasperation in her voice. She points seriously at the two of you. “No to all those. I don’t want it to be that big of a change.”
Her voice lowers to a sad but determined tone.
“I don’t want it to be as if they succeeded in forcing me to change who I am,” Wanda admits as she stares down at her hands where a red ball of mist flows between her fingers in a gentle pattern.
“Well, the great thing about changing your hair is that ultimately whatever you decide, it’s your choice to make,” you say, your gaze meeting Natasha’s slightly widened eyes, before continuing firmly, “No one can take that decision from you.”
Wanda contemplates your words for a moment and then nods at you decisively.
“Can you lighten my hair into an auburn color?” she asks.
You give her a gentle smile and nod, replying, “Alright then. Auburn it is.”
Before you touch her hair, you give her a questioning look and ask, “Are you comfortable for me to touch your hair and start?”
Wanda blinks at you in surprise, and her tense posture relaxes slightly when she realizes you’re asking for her permission.
With a nod, she responds softly, “Go ahead.”
As you work on Wanda’s hair, Natasha watches you intently with a fond look in her eyes, lost in her thoughts at the sight of you and glad that she had this opportunity to see you again.
Before she knows it, you’re already finishing up applying the last coatings of the dye on Wanda’s hair when you suddenly speak up.
“You know, I’ve always had a soft spot for redheads,” you state casually before meeting Natasha’s eyes with a teasing smile.
“Are you trying to say that you don’t have a soft spot for me now that I’m blonde?” Natasha asks with an amused raise of a brow.
You shrug nonchalantly and hum in thought as if having to contemplate the answer.
Natasha huffs in disbelief and rolls her eyes slightly at you.
However, your words remind her of what you mentioned earlier to Steve, and Natasha can’t help but ask curiously.
“Was your ex also a redhead?” she asks, her tone seemingly casual.
“Impressive, your deduction skills as a spy must be really good,” you tease, chuckling lightly, as you return your focus to Wanda’s hair.
“The two of you must’ve been pretty serious for their grandparents to still trust you like that,” Natasha says, unable to hide the slight bitterness of the thought slipping into her tone.
You laugh and shake your head quickly in denial.
“No, definitely not. She moved away years ago, and our relationship didn’t really end on good terms. My close relationship with her grandparents is kind of like my revenge on her. Plus, they’re actually a sweet old couple.”
“Oh,” Natasha says, a small breath of relief releasing from her.
“I’m not really seeing anyone at the moment,” you admit softly.
“Natasha’s single too,” Wanda chimes in, her focus originally on the sitcom playing on the tv but now looking between the two of you with interest.
“That’s a surprise,” you say with a laugh as you go into the back to retrieve some things.
Natasha chuckles lightly as you leave before giving Wanda the same warning glare that she gave Steve. Unfazed, Wanda just gestures with her head encouragingly in your direction.
However, Natasha shakes her head resolutely in a silent reply to her, and before Wanda can attempt to convince her further, you come back and begin doing the last steps on Wanda’s hair.
With one final brush of Wanda’s newly red hair, you declare happily, “All finished.”
“Thanks, Y/n,” Wanda says as she stands from the chair and goes to examine her hair in the mirror.
You watch as a small smile appears on her face, and you let out a breath of relief, glad to finally see Wanda in a moment of happiness.
Natasha comes up next to you and holds out some money in an offer.
“Thank you for doing this,” Natasha says.
You shake your head in refusal, your hands folded behind you as you face her.
“I’m sure you all need this more than I do,” you say resolutely.
Natasha chuckles lightly and huffs in disbelief.
“You know, you can’t always give me free passes like this every time. You should be paid for your work,” Natasha points out.
You hum in thought before tilting your head at her with a questioning look.
“How about dinner?” you suggest.
A surprised expression appears on Natasha’s face, but she hesitates to answer, facing the same situation again of wanting to accept your offer, but a beep at her side along with the message that comes with it reminds her why she can’t.
“Steve’s on his way back. I have to take Wanda back to the safe house and then we’re moving right after,” she explains sadly with regret. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay, Nat. I know,” you say gently in understanding, taking a small step back from her and changing your tone into one lighter.
“But if you’re ever in the area again, you’re always welcome here.”
You turn to look at Wanda, adding, “All of you.”
“Can I walk you back home at least?” Natasha asks.
Before you can respond, the sound of a car pulling up outside catches your attention, and based on Natasha’s disappointed expression, you know that’s probably Steve.
“It’s okay, Natasha. You can go,” you reassure her, offering a comforting smile.
Wanda gives you a small wave goodbye as she exits, but Natasha lingers at the door, her gaze fixed on you.
“About before…” she starts before hesitating and trailing off into silence as she presses her lips together in contemplation.
When her shoulder drops slightly in defeat and disappointment, you know she’s decided against whatever she’s about to say.
“You can just tell me later,” you suggest. “You know, whenever I get to see you again.”
Though you both know that you don’t know when that’ll be.
“Right,” Natasha agrees, her smile tinged with sadness as she gives you one last glance and moving to leave. “I’ll see you next time, Y/n.”
After closing up, you head home, the events of the evening replaying in your mind.
Though the goodbye was bittersweet, you’re still happy you got a chance to see Natasha again so soon and even meet the other important people in her life.
As you step out of your bathroom, just finished with a shower, a knock on your door interrupts your thoughts.
You check who it is before quickly unlocking and opening the door for them.
“Hey…” Natasha’s voice trails off, her gaze taking in your appearance.
Remnants of water from the shower still remain on your exposed skin since you decided to wear some light clothing to counter the warm temperature outside.
Leaning against the doorway, you greet her with a curious tilt of your head at her sudden silence.
“Hey,” you reply in greeting.
Natasha shakes her head lightly as if coming out of a daze and gestures in a direction behind her.
“So, uh, Steve said that he can take Wanda back to the safe house. She really loves her hair by the way. Um, she also told me that I should..uh..I should see you again before we leave…”
Your lips twitch in amusement at Natasha’s endearing ramble, your gaze softening as you continue to listen.
“…but it looks like you’re probably about to go to sleep, so I should just go,” Natasha concludes, turning to leave.
“Wait,” you call out, your hand instinctively reaching towards her, but you stop yourself before you touch her, your hand retracting back to your side, a mixture of hesitation and longing in your movements.
Natasha pauses at your request, and when she sees your hesitating action, her features soften in understanding.
Stepping back closer to you, she extends her hand in invitation.
“You can touch me, Y/n,” Natasha reassures you. “I never have a problem if it’s you.”
Your eyes widen in surprise, touched by her trust.
Tentatively, you reach out, your hand finding hers, before checking for any signs of discomfort but end up seeing none from her.
Your hand then trails up lightly to her shoulder and then to the back of her neck, your fingers play with the strands of her short hair as you watch her carefully.
Natasha closes her eyes at your touch, the same serene expression appearing on her face as before.
Seeing this, you bring your other hand to cup her cheek as you urge gently.
“What was it that you wanted to tell me earlier?”
Natasha opens her eyes and meets your gaze with an affectionate look, her hand moving up to hold the back of yours as she responds.
“That it was real,” she confesses softly.
You furrow your brows lightly in confusion, prompting Natasha to clarify.
“Your question from before,” she explains. “It was real for me too.”
Natasha lets out a shaky breath as she continues, “I loved that I had you on my side back then, and the truth is…I’d love to have you by my side now.”
Surprised by her admission, you search her eyes but only find genuine warmth and sincerity in her gaze.
Natasha’s smile softens, and you find yourself drawn to her at the action, unconsciously leaning in closer.
Even though Natasha gave you permission earlier to touch her, this desire that you have is different, so you give her the same questioning look that you always have before and ask hesitantly in a breathless whisper.
“Can I kiss you?”
Natasha chuckles lightly under her breath at your question, resting her forehead against yours.
“I was just about to ask you the same thing.”
With a gentle pull, you close the small distance between the two of you, sharing a tender kiss with her. Her lips are soft against yours, fitting perfectly and enveloping you with the same warmth that you've always felt from her.
When you finally pull away, your breath still mingling with hers, Natasha gives you a teasing grin.
“So, about that dinner?”
Laughing, you roll your eyes fondly and wrap your arms around her to pull her into your home.

Ohio - 2018 (2 Years Later)
The soft rustling of movement reaches your ears, pulling you from your sleep. You glance at the clock on the nightstand, its dim glow showing the late hour, before turning your gaze to the familiar figure standing beside the bed, quietly slipping her shirt over her frame with practiced ease.
“Nat?”
At the sound of your voice, Natasha turns back to you, her expression reassuring as she moves to sit beside you. Her hand rests gently on your shoulder, stopping you when she sees that you’re about to sit up.
“Go back to sleep, moya lyubov,” Natasha whispers, pressing a soft kiss to your head. “Wanda and Vision missed their check-in, so Steve and I are just going to check up on them real quick.”
A flicker of unease flares within you at the news, coupled with the realization that Natasha intends to go straight toward potential unknown dangers.
Your hand reaches out and grips her arms, a surge of unsettling fear tightening in your chest.
“Natasha, don’t…”
Don’t go
The words are trapped in your throat as you stare at her.
Holding your gaze, Natasha’s eyes reflect both love and determination.
Love for you…and for her makeshift family.
And as much as you wish for her safety, you know you can’t keep her from her loyalty and duty to them.
With a bittersweet smile, you cradle her face in your hands, suppressing the selfish urge to ask her to stay.
“Don’t take too long to come back,” you manage, a hint of teasing in your voice as you catch a strand of her blonde hair in your hand. “We wouldn’t want your hair to be two different colors by the time you return.”
Natasha chuckles lightly, leaning in to press a gentle kiss on your lips.
“It’s going to be a quick trip. I’ll be back soon,” she promises.
You pull her close, giving her another lingering kiss, before wrapping your arms around her in a tight hug and tucking your head against her shoulder.
“And I’ll be here when you do,” you whisper against her in a promise in return.

Ohio - 2023 (5 Years Later)
In the quiet solitude of the salon, Natasha stands alone, the weight of the five years after the snap hangs heavy in the air.
A mixture of exhaustion and sorrow is etched on her face as she examines the space.
With a weary sigh, she rubs at her eyes, wiping away the stray tears at the memories of you. She remembers vividly her last moments with you, your unspoken words to her.
The truth is she knew, deep down, what you were about to say to her at that time. And she understood why you stopped yourself.
Because if you had asked her not to go, she would’ve chosen to stay with you without any hesitation.
Seating herself in one of the chairs, Natasha meets her reflection in the mirror with unwavering determination.
Her hair has grown out to its former length over the past five years. Yet, traces of the dyed parts you did for her still linger at the tips.
Those strands of blonde color are her lifeline — a connection to the part of her life that she holds dear.
They serve as a constant reminder to keep going.
To keep fighting for a way to bring everyone back.
To bring you back.
Because amidst all the uncertainties of the world and the future, one thing remains steadfast in Natasha’s heart — she would do anything to see you again.

NEEDY PART 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: idol!virgin!jungwon x idol!virgin!fem reader
Synopsis: your group notice that you were acting weirdly lately, and you're quickly irritated, you constantly making mistake in the choreography your going to perform at your concert in a few days. You are distracted by something and as one of the leaders, jungwon, helps you out...
Warnings: enhypen is a 14 members group, mention of masturbation (I think that's it).
English is not my first language
Tumblr media
You’re having a meeting with all your members, your manager and some staff members to talk about some last-minute changes before your concert in 2 days. You are really tired, you barely slept last night, and you woke up late cause you forgot to set up an alarm. Thanks to Jiwoo, one of your members, who woke you up.
You aren’t really listening to what your manager is saying, only responding with head nods. Your sight falls on jake’s hands who is sitting next to you, he is playing with his pen. Normal thing, right? Fans always says that his hands are attractive and sexy, you never understood why they were saying that until now. His hands are thick and veiny, very manly. Seeing him playing with that pen makes you wonder what else he could do with them…
You start to have dirty images of him that you never had before. Imagining him fingering you with one of his hands while choking you with the other.
You’ve guessed it, you’re at that time of the month where you get kind of— really needy…
✨Ovulation ✨
You’ve never felt your ovulating period pass before because it wasn’t that intense, but it feels like the more you grow up the more it’s hard to go through that period without doing anything. You started masturbating at the age of 15 because this was the only thing that that made you feel good and a good stress reliever as well; you debuted very young, like ni-ki, and lots of pressure and stress starts to fall upon you. So, masturbating helps you get through it.
However, now you feel immunized against it. Masturbation doesn’t work on you anymore, maybe on the stress reliever part but not the ovulation part.
You tried to masturbate last night, you thought it worked turns out it didn’t, so you masturbate more and more until it was past 3AM. At the end, you’re still not satisfied so you gave up and tried to sleep but image of getting fuck deeply by some of your members but mostly your closest friend for a long time, Jungwon.
You’ve known each other from the time when you were both trainees at SM. You had your best laughs with him, it was good to have someone like him during your training period, which was the hardest period of your life. You were so happy to see him in I-land, but you were happier to get to debut with him.
He’s your friend, your dearest friend. You feel ashamed masturbating over him, but you couldn’t help…
You’re suddenly pulled up from your fantasy world by one of your members, “uh, what?” You look around while putting your hair behind your ear, everyone’s eyes were on you, worried expressions. Your members noticed your weird act lately. You have been asked so many times if you were doing okay, all you answered is ‘I’m fine, just tired’ with a smile on your face to make them believe that everything is fine.
“Have you heard what I’ve asked you?” you manager asked with a slight irritated expression, “uh, no, i-i didn’t hear it, sorry” you smile awkwardly, your manager sighs “are you sick?” she asked concerned, “what? No, I-I’m fine” “your members said that you’ve been acting weird lately” you look around the table, looking at your members and looks back at your manager “no, I’m fine…just been distracted” you said as you scratch your hair. “By what?” Your face dropped as your eyes went wider, you started panicking. You can’t say that you’re ovulating and everything your members do gets you turned on.
“that’s not important,” you said trying to get you out of this situation, “what were you saying?” You are thankful that your manager didn’t push on the questions more. She repeats what she said before and you answer her, she seems fine with the answer, so she passed to another subject.
You get comfortable on your chair before you notice Jungwon’s eyes are on you, but he isn’t looking at your face, he’s eyeing a little bit down your body. You look down at where he was looking; your nipples are hard and picking through your white t-shirt. This made you realize that you forgot to put a bra on this morning because of all the rush. Your eyes widen as you quickly grab the two sides of your opened jacket and cover your chest. You cross your arms over your chest before lifting your eyes to Jungwon. His cheeks are red and so are yours, he quickly looks away and you follow his action while putting a leg on top of the other.
Your eyes go wide when you feel your panties being really soaked. Damn, your daydreaming session over Jake’s hands really turned you on, and you can’t even do something about it. You’re trapped…
Tumblr media
Fast forward to the evening, your needs didn’t calm down at all without mentioning that you’ve been irritated. You’ve kept messing up the dance intro of “bite me”, it’s stressing you out and makes you frustrated cause the concert is in one day and it’ll may be a disaster because of you.
You’ve been assigned to do a duo a dance with Jungwon, with all skin ship, you couldn’t focus right. Your choreographer was desperate, and your members were worried about your state. You are one of the best dancers in the group, it’s unusual for them to see you kept messing up the choreography.
You are on your desk, studying because yes idols can go to college too. Most of them do and you really want to have a plan B if something goes wrong. However, idols get special treatment because of busy schedules; for example, idols get to return assignments a little later than the normal students or having more time to study finals.
You sigh out of anger because of the noise that your members make outside your room. The boys are here. The boys and girls have separate dorms, but you still live in the same building. Y'all made a deal that each week one dorm gets to cook for the whole group and that week is your turn. Usually you help the girls too, but you weren’t in the mood to cook, and the girls were fine with it, maybe it’s because you’ve been acting weirdly so they let it pass.
You couldn’t concentrate because of the noise, so you get up from your desk and open the door before yelling, “CAN YOU LOWER VOICE! I’M TRYING TO CONCENTRATE!” the dorm went silent before you hear, “sorry unnie/y/niie” you closed the door and on your way to your desk, you hear haera, your roommate who’s 3 years older than you, say “damn” she comments while still tapping on her phone. Haera was also supposed to cook but she made up an excuse that she was sick. She is just too lazy to cook.
You ignore her comments and sit down on your chair and continue studying but of course you can silence that many people. So, your second option is music. You take your earphones out of your bag and put some music on. Chase Atlantic’s music to be more precise but you quickly start to regret your choice of music.
You clicked on ‘slow down’ before taking your pen back into your hand.
‘You’re buried in the pillow, yeah, you’re so loud’                                                                       ‘Push a little further on the edge  Crawl a little further on the bed, babe  I’m burning up, yeah, all I see is red, ah  She said, « Fuck me like I’m famous »  I said, « Okay » ‘
You tilt your head, getting uncomfortable because of the lyrics. You switch to another song, “OH! MAMI”
“Then she bent it for me sideways, ah  I might have to fuck her on the highway” “She wanna fuck me, okay  She wanna know how it tastes”
You unconsciously rubbing your thighs against each other, as you’re writing something on your paper trying as hard as you can to concentrate on your assignment. You switch songs again— “into it”.
“Said she wanna fuck me later  Girl, I’m into it (Woo), I’m into it, I’m into it (Woo)”
‘Okay I give up” you say to yourself before taking your earphone off and stopping the music from playing. You cross your arms on the table as you let your head fall upon them while letting out desperate groan.
You hear the bed behind you crack followed by slow footsteps. You feel a hand on your shoulder as your hear the chair next to you being sit on. “what’s going on, jagi ?” haera asks rubbing you shoulder. You shift you head position to the side so you can look at her. “you’ve been acting weird lately and when we ask you ‘what’s the problem’ you just brush it off. Did something bad happen ?” you close your eyes while sighing before reopening them, “nothing bad happened, I’m just frustrated…” “do you have your period ?” she asks but before you could respond she interrupts you, “no it can be that, you got them 2 weeks ago,” she lifts her eyes up with her eyebrows arched, thinking of what could bother you.
Then it hit her, “I know!” she exclaims as she lifts her index up, “you’re ovulating!”. As soon as she says it, you sigh heavily with your eyes shut, “so I’m right!”, you nod your head. “Damn, this month’s ovulating must be hard for you to act like this” she states with amusement and pity in her tone.
“It is!” you whine as you lift you head from your arms while pouting, “masturbating doesn’t help with anything and I get turned on so easily” “aw, my baby sister is growing so fast,” she cups your face as she mirrors your expression. “It’s only the beginning, things are going to be harder in the future” you put some hair, that falls from your messy bun, behind your ear looking straight at your eldest with interested eyes, “it also happens to you?” “yep” she responds with that ‘I’m older so I’m more experience that you' expression. “How do you dealt with it?” she hesitates for some minute before displaying a smirk, “someone helps me”, your eyes widen, “what?! Who? Are they in group?” haera just chuckles.
“He is” she declares, “who?” you insist, “jay” you gasp at the name. “No way…” you say as you put your hand over your mouth. She nods with her eyes closed and her eyebrows lifted, “yes way”.
“But what if the managers learn it?” you asked concerned about their —kind of — relationship. “He always books a hotel room, or we do it in his studio, so we won’t get caught”
“I’m jealous” you whine, “maybe you ask one of the boys —or girls— to help you,” she proposes with a smug face, “maybe ask Jungwon” she says as she comes closer to you. Haera knows your relationship with Jungwon, that you are basically best-friends, but she also notices how you relationships shifted and not in the friendly way.
“Now, I couldn’t ask him that. I’m still a virgin, he must be—” “he also a virgin” haera says as she checks her nails. “How do you know that?” “From jay, we do not only fuck, you know”
“So, take your chance! Discover the amazing world of sex together” you chuckle at her funny sentence, “I don’t know about—”
You discussion is being cut by ni-ki opening the door —without knocking—before he says, “dinner’s ready, come eat” “Yah ni-ki, what didn’t you knock? What if one of us was naked? This is not how I raised y—” “what’s with all that yell? Haera, are you the one who’s yelling?” Jiwoo, the eldest girl, asks, “aren’t you supposed to be sick?” Jiwoo asks with a hand on her hip.
Haera suddenly holds her head, “yeah my head hurt but I’m bit better now” haera say, obviously faking. Jiwoo rolled her eyes at her horrible acting before her eyes lands on you, “are you okay, y/n?” you nod, “okay perfect, come eat with us!” “Yes, I’m coming”.
You follow them to the living room where the rest of the group is sitting. They had assemble the little table together so we could all eat together. The tables are laid with food—main dishes and side dishes. You sit down on the floor, next to haera and ni-ki before you take a set of chopsticks.
“Thank you for the meal” everyone says before the eldest starts to dig in. The room is filled with chatters and laughter as everyone is continuing their previous conversation. You're not really paying attention to the discussion and your mind starts to wander around.
Your eyes felt on Heeseung who was discussing with Jiwoo and jay, he grabs his cup to drink, and you notice his Adam's apple moving. You don’t know why but you somehow find it attractive. You realize what you are doing, you can fantasize about someone that you consider to be your big brother. You shake your head slightly and focus back to the food.
As you’re chewing on my food, your eyes start to unconsciously wandering around, again. They landed on Jungwon, who is sitting on the couch, manspreading. Your eyes blocked on his thingy; you begin to wonder what sex will be him.
“y/n”
Imagine his dick inside of you,
“y/n”
while you clench around him.
“y/n!”
You are finally pulled out from your daydreaming state, “mmh?” you let out in a questioning tone. Jiwoo chuckles before she repeats her previous question, “do you want more meat?” “no, thanks.” you respond as you lower your face to your food.
“you’re still daydreaming,” Jiwoo chuckles, “something keeps you from focusing on this reality?” Jiwoo continues with her head tilted to the side and displays a questioning expression. “Or someone...” haera says under her breath but most of the members heard it. You slightly slap her thigh before you give her glare.
“Uhm, no nothing bother me,” you display a big smile, “maybe it’s just stress or —” “frustration” haera interrupts me as she keeps eating like nothing happened, “frustration?” Heeseung questions. You glare at haera again before you take a breath to respond but again haera talks before you, “sexu—” “study frustration” you interrupt her before she could say something that would embarrass you. “Study frustration” you repeat with an awkward smile on your face.
You should’ve known better than to let haera know that you’re ovulating, that girl is such a tease.
“don’t worry y/n, you’re smart! I know you're going to pass your semester” jake says try to cheer you up, you flash a smile at him. “don’t be hard on yourself” Jungwon join the cheering, you smile shyly. “Oh, you wish he could be hard on you” haera whispers in your ear which make choke on your food.
“Oh my, eat slowly! Ni-ki give her some water” Jiwoo exclaims as ni-ki rushes to pour you some water and hands you the cup, “t-thank you” you hardly say throughout your coughs. You drink your water, and the food went down your throat. You come back to your senses as you look around, “sorry for that” you chuckle awkwardly.
“it’s okay but eat slower next time” you nod before looking down your plate. “Hey y/n,” haera calls out for you, you look at her as she holding a piece of steak with her chopsticks, “do you want some sex— I mean some steak?” she asks with a smirk on her face.
If eyes could kill, she would be dead, “no. thank.” you respond harshly. She lifts her shoulders innocently before she goes back to eat.

right where you left me
part: 8 pairing: paige bueckers x oc word count: 1.5k c/w: language a/n: sighhhhh i'm not so happy with the way this ended, but i had so much fun writing this series. honestly, though, i'm very excited to start on some new stuff, so please please please stay tuned for that. let me know if you guys have requests, i'm feeling uninspired. thank you all so so much for staying tuned for this series, and while i'm sad it's over, you may be seeing more of paige and maya later on! let me know what you think!
When I wake up the next morning, I try for a moment to fool myself that this is my normal. That I always wake up wrapped in Paige, her hair tickling my nose. That I get to press a soft kiss into the skin of her neck and watch her eyes flutter open every single morning.
But in reality, we've fucked up. Paige’s eyes bore into mine. “We shouldn’t have done that,” she sighs. It’s not a question. It’s the truth. I search her eyes, trying to find some semblance of calm in the baby blue. This morning doesn’t forecast clear skies, as it would seem. Instead, I’m met with a raging storm.
“Do you wish we hadn’t?” I ask. My voice sounds foreign to my own ears. She hesitates. “I should,” she tells me. “But I don’t.” I shut my eyes, exhaling through my nose. She keeps talking. “I got to touch you.”
“I got to kiss you. Got to hold you, get to wake up to you.”
I nod, pursing my lips. “I know.”
“Maya, baby.”
I let myself look at her, opening my eyes to let them rove over her lips and her nose.
“I need to tell you something,” Paige says quietly.
She sits up, clad in one of her own t-shirts she’d grabbed from my closet. My eyes follow her movements, waiting with bated breath to see if she’ll leave.
“It wasn’t you. It was me.”
I sit up cautiously, narrowing my eyes at her. “Are you… re-breaking up with me, right now, Paige?”
Her eyes widen and she shakes her head indignantly. “No! No, no, no! Just-just listen, okay?”
I nod, encouraging her to go on.
“I was insecure. I was so worried that everyone else would see what I see in you - how beautiful you are, how smart you are, and kind, and funny, and talented, and-and sexy. How could they not? I mean, you’re all that and-and more.”
“But I should have trusted you, too. It was unfair of me to throw the situation with Nicky back in your face. I’m the one who kissed you. I called you and you came, because you always do, because that’s how good you are. Because you love me. You’ve never done wrong by me, Maya. Ever. Even if I missed a comp, you were always there at my games. Even when I fucked up, you showed up for me, Mai.”
“And I’ve known. That it’s you. Maybe as long as we’ve known each other, I couldn’t tell you. But I don’t want anyone to touch me the way you do. I can’t imagine looking at someone else and-and feeling the things I feel when I look at you, Mai. I can’t even put them into words. I just know that this feeling that I have - right now - waking up to you and knowing that I’m yours and you’re mine… shit, Maya. I want this feeling for fucking life.”
My eyes sting with tears. “Paige,” I whisper.
“And I know you want time. And space. Or whatever the fuck. But I’m telling you I don’t need any of that shit. I just need you. Us. However much you’re willing to give. I’ll take it. Some of you, all of you. I don’t give a fuck. I’ll wait. However long it takes.” She rushes all of this out, her tone taking on a sense of urgency.
I’m silent, still processing her words.
“My bus to the airport leaves in an hour. If I’m not there, Coach will skin me alive,” she tells me, getting off the bed. “I know… you have doubts. I get it. But I’m telling you right now, you’re fucking it for me, Maya. And if you need a day, weeks, months, years to get to that place - I’ll still wait for you.”
Paige walks briskly to me, taking my face in her hands. I feel as though I’m in a state of shock. “My bus leaves from the Hilton. If you come, I’ll know you want to keep trying.” She kisses me chastely. “Please come,” she whispers.
Then she’s gone. I glance at the clock on my phone. It reads 9:30.
I let about fifteen minutes pass.
Then another fifteen. I pick at my blankets, my fingers twitching.
Twenty minutes go by.
Then thirty more.
I check my phone again. Nothing from Paige. The time reads 10:52.
I hesitate.
Then I grab my car keys off my nightstand.
*******
Paige’s POV
“She didn’t come?” KK asks softly. I stare out the window, hoping to catch a glimpse of her dark hair. “Nah, guess not.” I try to play it off, acting like it doesn’t bother me, but my heart feels like someone stabbed it and twisted the knife. I pull my jacket tighter around me, as though it might hide the bloodstains.
The ride to the airport is slow and painful. I wallow in the words I said to her before I left.
The truth is, I don’t want to be without her. I can’t. I’ve been in love with her since I was fifteen years old. I’m 23 now, and the sun still rises and sets on that fucking smile.
I trudge through the airport, drag myself through security, and plop down at a seat at our gate. Azzi tries to poke me, trying to tease me to cheer me up. It doesn’t work. I shoot her a glare, then turn to the other side, determined to ignore the rest of my team.
That’s when I see her.
Maya.
She’s wearing what she wore to bed last night, a hoodie thrown over her t-shirt and shorts. She looks frantic, just about running through the airport. She clutches her keys in one hand, wallet in the other.
I shoot to my feet.
“Maya,” I breathe. KK gives me a weird look. “Yo, I know you’re down bad and all, but you have to chill.”
I swat her, my eyes still trained on the dark haired girl running through the Detroit airport. “No, dude. Maya. She’s here.”
KK’s eyes go wide when they spot her. “Girl, what are you standing here for? Go get her!”
“Right,” I mumble, nearly tripping trying to get past the bundle of duffels we all have on the floor in front of us.
“Maya!” I call, praying she hears me. “Maya!”
She spins to find my voice, her hair swishing around her. I see her lips form my name, and then she’s sprinting towards me, launching herself at me. Without hesitation, I gather her in my arms, squeezing her to me, letting her wrap her legs around my waist. “Paige,” she whispers into my hair, placing a kiss at my temple.  “What are you doing here?” I wonder aloud. “I-I bought a ticket to Miami,” she splutters out, tears filling her eyes. “They wouldn’t let me in otherwise, but I had to see you-”
“You came,” I breathe, locking my arms around her body.
She stops, pulling back to look at me, a ‘duh’ look on her face. “You called,” she replies.
I bury my face into her, breathing in her smell. “Don’t do that again, okay?” I beg.
She laughs tearfully, nodding and clutching me to her. It occurs to me momentarily that this is an awfully public display of affection to be having in an airport, but I don’t give a shit.
“Never again,” she agrees, slowly unhooking her legs from around me.
“God, you scared me,” I tell her, but I’m too busy drinking her in to actually be mad.
“I just thought about what you said. We’re so over everything that happened in high school. I’m not scared you’ll hurt me again. I trust you too much for that. And I don’t need days or weeks or however fucking long, Paige. It’s been four years. I’m done waiting. I want this. Now,” she tells me earnestly.
I nod eagerly, unable to believe my ears. “We’ll- we’ll make it work. I’ll call you every day, every hour if you want. Whatever you want. You can visit! I’ll pay for your flights. I got NIL bank now, I’ll pay for whatever. I just-”
I know I’m babbling, but I’m just so unbelievably happy, I think I might be high off of it. I interrupt myself to kiss her, pulling her to me, not caring who sees. She laughs against me, kissing me back, and I think at this moment that if I could bottle her laugh up, I could get drunk off of it.
I lift her up off her feet once more, grinning at her.
“I hope you know I’m never letting you get away from me again,” I tell her.
Maya smiles at me, pecking my nose. “You’re not getting rid of me that easy,” she retorts.
I grin at her, stupidly in love with every single part of her. “You and me, baby?”
The smile she flashes at me is blinding, and she’s so beautiful I think I might pass out.
“You and me.”

A man shows up shortly after. You think it’s the judge but you vaguely recognise his thick gray hair and his stance. Steve greets him happily and introduces him as Bucky; the other witness.
He nods at you and your mom as he crosses his arms and subtly checks his watch. He’s not dressed as nicely as Steve; he has no jacket but he wears a button-up and slacks. You wonder if he’s just as surprised by the whole affair or even if he has the context to be.
Your mom and Steve barely know each other. It’s only been a few weeks since he moved in. Isn’t marriage supposed to be a big thing? Something you do after at least a few years. Well, how do you know? All you know of normal life, you learned from TV and everyone knows that’s not realistic.
The judge arrives and introduces herself as the Honorable Valentina de Fontaine. Your vision is blurry as she begins by reading from a piece of paper. Is this how it really is? No romance, no fairy tale, just a stuffy city hall room and a judge with a script. You don’t know why it’s bothering you so much.
It’s just too fast. It’s too surreal. It just doesn’t feel real.
You can barely process the words as Steve and your mom stand before the judge. Their vows are lost to the void of your confusion. That man, Bucky, stands near, intently listening but showing no emotion. He senses you looking at him and gazes back at you. You quickly turn away and self-consciously pull at your dress.
You don’t move until your asked to sign. You take the pen but have a hard time getting a grip on it. How strange it all is. You manage to sign your name on the paper to verify your presence and step back. The declaration of man and wife echoes in your ears.
What does it all mean? Steve is... your stepfather now? Is he still going to live next door? Is he going to move in? Do you have to go? Where? What about your mom? She’s still sick. None of it makes sense.
The judge congratulates the happy couple. The do seem happy. You bend your arms over your chest and clutch the sides of your neck. You chew your lip awkwardly as your mom and Steve beam at each other triumphantly.
“Uh, right,” Steve snaps out of it, “so, we’re going to do lunch. How about it, Buck, you wanna join?”
Bucky looks dully at his friend then glances at you. You notice how your mom clings to Steve’s hand. All of this is so fast and so much.
“Sure, why not, I can drive this one,” Bucky says, “so you two love birds get at least the drive to yourself.”
“You don’t gotta do that,” Steve smiles.
“Don’t mind,” Bucky insists, “you two must be so excited.”
“Honey,” your mother keeps her voice low, “it’s alright, they can meet us at the restaurant, right? I mean, we’ll need to talk about a few things on the way.”
“Sure, uh, sure. There’s a reservation so you can just give my name,” Steve’s voice evens out, “see ya there.
“Mm, sure. Starving anyway,” Bucky mutters and turns to you, “coming?”
You look at the man then your mom Steve. Your mother gives you a look that says get out of here. Best that you don’t ruin the happiest day of her life. It truly does seem to be. You don’t think you’ve ever seen her anything close to elated but she’s just smiling and latched onto her husband.
Her husband.
You turn and follow the other man from the room. He slows his gait until you’re walking beside him. He’s quiet as you tread through the maze that is City Hall. As you get to the parking lot, he points you without a word. You go to a car and hear the locks slide back.
You wait until he gets in the driver’s side before you open the passenger door. As you buckle in, he checks the mirror and turns the engine. He sighs.
“Must be strange,” he comments as he reverses out, “new dad and everything, huh?”
You’re quiet but make yourself eke out a noise, “mhmm.”
“Sorry, I probably don’t make it any better,” he steers casually, “why don’t you save us both the trouble and find something to listen to?”
He turns on the stereo with a button on the wheel and you flinch. You hesitantly lean forward and search the stations. You don’t want to make him listen to anything too out of his preference and you’re a bit too embarrassed to search for what you really like. You settle on a station with old songs you recognise vaguely.
“Talking Heads, nice,” he comments. It takes you a moment to realises that’s the band’s name.
You nod and look out the window. He doesn’t press further. He doesn’t try like Steve to manufacture the conversation. He just lets you be. You can appreciate that. You watch the buildings pass by and flutter your fingers against your legs.
As the car pulls in behind a restaurant, you feel another lurch in your stomach. You’re both hungry and terrified. It’s a nice place and you’ve never been anywhere nicer than an Applebee’s. That was when you were eight and your grandmother took you out for your birthday.
You let Bucky take the lead. He gets out, you get out. He crosses the lot, you cross the lot. Right there at his side. He’s a stranger, you don’t know him, but his presence is almost reassuring. He has a confidence you could never fathom. Besides, what choice do you have?
You step inside and he steps ahead to meet the hostess. He gives Steve’s name and you trail after him as you’re led further inside. You see other diners dressed nicely for their meals. You look down at yourself and the faded polka dot dress.
You sit and wait. You’re on edge, waiting for Bucky to say something, anything. To ask you a question. So what about your mom? You take care of her? She’s sick, huh?
He lets you be and orders a coffee, asking if you want something at the same time. You just ask for water and sink into the chair. Your eyes wander over the floor and up another table. Another woman stares at you. You try to ignore her as the server nears and puts down the coffee and water, a small divet between his brows.
As you sip, you hear your mom’s crow above the din. You glance over as she walks ahead of Steve. The settle in and order drinks as Bucky greets them. It all still feels so disjointed, like a dream. As if the little pieces of reality have been stuck together haphazardly.
"There's the happy couple,” Bucky muses dryly.
“Says the eternal bachelor,” Steve retorts, “sound jealous, huh?”
“I’m quite happy, actually. Got my own space, my own bed, my own everything.”
“Sure,” Steve chuckles, “sounds amazing.”
“Any plans for the honeymoon?” Bucky asks though he sounds disinterested.
“Probably will have to wait a while. For now, we’re just gonna sort things out,” Steve turns and looks at you, “you’re quiet, kiddo, what’s going on?”
You shake your head and sit back as the server returns with a coffee for your mom and a grapefruit juice for Steve. You wait for him to leave but he doesn’t. You stare at the table and he clears his throat. You look up at the man as the table stills.
“Excuse me, miss, um,” he keeps his voice low, “this is a nice establishment so I’m going to have to ask you to cover up.”
You bite your lip and your eyes go wide, “what? I don’t...”
“You can put a napkin over your chest,” he suggests.
Steve lets out a heavy breath and your mother mutters under hear breath.
“I...” you look down and try to pull your dress up, “I’m sorry.”
“Here, take my jacket,” Steve stands strips off his jacket, offering it up. “Thanks, you can go.”
You accept his coat with a quavery thank you and he sits after the terse dismissal. With your head down and your body on fire, you pull the jacket around your shoulders, hiding in it. It smells like his cologne. Your eyes tinge and you roll them back to keep from crying.
“Wow, that was rude,” Steve says.
“Well, she shouldn’t be wearing something so inappropriate,” your mother snorts.
Bucky shifts awkwardly and you turn your face away, humiliated.
“Her dress is just fine. That guy has no right to be commenting on her body. We’re paying customers,” Steve snarls, “makes me wanna just go.”
“It’s okay,” you sniffle, “really.”
“It’s not okay,” Steve insists.
‘”Oh, honey, don’t be so dramatic,” you mother snickers, “if she didn’t want people to comment, she’d cover up.”
Steve is quiet as Bucky sips from his coffee. He clinks it down and you wince.
“I think you both should let her speak for herself,” he says bluntly, “and if she doesn’t wanna talk about it, move on.”
You blink and slowly peek over at the man. He doesn’t glance back or even acknowledge you. He just sits back and swirls his mug.
“I always hated places like this,” he scoffs.

Hey hey! You are so amazing and I love your work so much 💜💜💜
I need a bit of angst in my life so can I please request Thomas Hewitt x reader where they got into a heated argument and Thomas signs something he regrets. With tears in their eyes, reader storms out of the house and does not return for hours. How would he react? What would he be thinking when he sees the tears running down the cheeks of his partner? What would he think when they don’t come back after hours had passed?
What Should Have Been Said
Thomas Hewitt x Reader
Summary: After becoming worried about Reader's safety, Thomas says some things he doesn't mean.
Warnings: Angst, cussing
Word Count: 1,436
A/N: Thank you so much! Writing this was definitely pretty sad on my part. I hope you enjoy the angst!
Tumblr media
It was just a big misunderstanding. But that's how these arguments normally started, right?
As someone who wasn't able to verbally communicate his thoughts and feelings well, things were inevitably going to become misconstrued at some point. But with the strong Texas heat burning through his skin like fire, everything seemed to be fueling his present frustrations.
He had told you earlier to stay inside while he tended to the outside chores. The sun was going to be unbearable that day, and with all the sharp tools lying around, he didn't want to risk you getting hurt.
So you listened to him for a while, letting him work alone. But after several hours of not seeing him, you became worried.
He hadn't even stopped in for a quick drink of water or an update to let you know he was okay.
You finally decided that sitting around and letting these worries stew wasn't benefitting anyone. So carefully, you got up, grabbed a glass of ice water, and slipped on some shoes, heading out into the blazing sun.
A quick trip around the house told you that he wasn't there which meant that he could only be in one other place: the shed.
You snuck in carefully and were immediately hit with the sound of metal banging against wood.
You were happy to see that he wasn't spending all of his time in the sun, but the shed almost felt worse than the outdoors did. There wasn't enough ventilation in here, making the temperature feel much hotter than you deemed safe.
You rounded the corner quickly, the glass of water in your hand already dripping from the condensation.
However, when you walked past the shelf, you didn't notice the meat hook poking out from the side.
It immediately caught your arm and cut through your skin with ease, causing you to drop the glass of water on instinct and hiss.
The shattering of glass cause Thomas to spin around quickly, a sharp butcher's knife being raised up on reflex in case he saw someone unwelcomed.
And in that moment, he would have much rather seen a lowly stranger in that shed than you hunched over with a small pool of blood beginning to form near your foot.
He immediately dropped the knife and rushed over, grabbing your arm gently but forcefully, looking at how bad the wound was.
"I'm okay, Thom-"
He quickly cut you off by picking you up, taking you straight back to the house.
The next few minutes were filled with an uncomfortable silence, him working hard at cleaning your wound and getting it wrapped up.
It wasn't like Thomas to act like this. His brows were furrowed and his touch was a bit rougher than normal.
In the past, a situation like this would have evoked a tender response from him, his whole being dedicating itself to doting on you and making sure you felt safe.
However, this time the air was filled with a feeling of uncomfortableness. His gaze hadn't even attempted to meet yours since he brought you inside from the shed.
The moment he finished patching you up, he was already heading for the door, not giving you a single ounce of acknowledgement.
This not only disappointed you, but it also ignited a slight irritation in your chest. You were just badly injured, and he didn't even seem to give a shit?
"Thomas," you said a bit more sternly than you intended.
He paused in the doorway, his head slightly tilting towards you in a way to show that he was listening.
You swallowed roughly. "You haven't said a single thing to me the past 30 minutes. What's wrong?"
He turned his head back to the floor, not giving you the reaction you were hoping for. The pain in your arm mixed with the uncomfortable feeling of sweat dripping down your body seemed to only fuel the anger that was beginning to build. Why was he ignoring you?
"Are you mad?" you tried.
The tone of your voice made it sound more accusatory than concerned, but you didn't really care in that moment. You were hurt both physically and emotionally at Thomas's nonchalance, and he deserved to know that.
He finally turned all the way to face you at this, the deep creases in his forehead revealing that something was definitely bothering him, and your questioning only seemed to provoke it more.
But with a quick response, Thomas signed, "I'm fine."
You almost scoffed at this.
"Well, that's good for you. But you haven't showed a single sign of caring towards me since I went to see you. What's going on?"
He just stood there breathing heavily.
That anger began to rise even more.
"Answer me."
He irritably began signing to you again, explaining that you shouldn't have gone outside when he explicitly told you not to.
You felt your face burn at how blunt he was being towards you. This wasn't like him; he never got this angry with you.
"I was worried," you started. You could already feel that familiar burn in your throat. "You were out there for hours, and I just wanted to make sure you were okay."
"And I told you to stay inside," he signed.
He was deflecting, and this only seemed to piss you off more. You were there telling him how you were only wanting to look after him, and yet that seemed to make him angry at you? Why? What's so bad about looking out for your partner?
Your eyes were beginning to burn, and you could tell that this anger was beginning to evolve into anguish.
"I just wanted to take care of you!" you almost yelled.
And in an instant, Thomas was already signing back, "I don't need you."
And that's what did it.
The tears spilled over, and your were choking on your own sobs at this response.
One of the first things he ever said to you was that he needed you. Even before the love confession or the asking to be yours, he was telling you that all he would ever need in this life was you.
Seeing him say these words to you broke your heart more than any other rejection could have done.
With blurry eyes and a pained expression, you rushed out the back door, leaving Thomas standing there in confusion and utter shock.
By the time he gathered his bearings and ran after you, he was met with an empty yard, no sight of you within reach.
He crumbled to the ground at the revelation that you were gone. What had he done?
If only he could have expressed to you the truth behind his worries.
He told you to stay inside for your safety. He was angry not because of you, but because you got hurt. This was the most severe injury you had sustained while being with him, and that severity is what caused him to shut down so quickly.
Seeing all that blood and such a deep wound made him realize that anything could happen to you. He could lose you in an instant, and that revelation cause him to lock up.
He could never be angry at you, he was just terrified of losing you.
And he didn't mean what he said. God, he desperately needed you more than anything in his life. But he was willing to say just about anything to keep you safe in that moment. But his worried mind clouded over that fact that he was only pushing you away.
He couldn't get the image of your tear-stained face out of his mind. He had never seen you so broken before, and he certainly would have never wanted to be the reason you felt that way.
He continued to stay kneeled to that spot for minutes and then hours. He refused to move.
You were going to come back, you had to. He couldn't do this without you.
But once the sun began to set, and the moon shone it's light down on him, he felt nothing but despair.
What if something had happened to you? Should he have gone and searched for you despite not knowing which direction you went? Would you ever be able to find your way back to him if you changed your mind?
He fully collapsed to the ground at these worries. The dirt and dust below him turned to spots of mud as the moisture from his own tears collided with the soil.
He signed to whatever Gods had to be out there watching him, "please, come back."

husband!jinwoo sung x wife!fem.reader
{ i get the feeling, so i'm sure | hand in my hand because i'm yours | i can't, i can't pretend, i can't ignore you're right for me | don't think you wanna know just where i’ve been, oh… }
when you first married your husband all those years ago, you didn’t think that your life would turn into something extraordinary-
almost too extraordinary.
of course, jinwoo sung had always been the sweetest, most kindest man alive. upon meeting you in college, he had stolen your heart with that mysterious smile and strange, glowing eyes of his. the way his soft ebony locks of hair fell across his features along with the way his full lips was turned up in a sheepish grin was enough to steal your heart instantly.
when the man began courting you was when you realized that your lover could do things that many normal people couldn’t do.
for starters, he had a strange, dark aura that constantly surrounded him. those wispy shadows would catch your attention, and before your gaze could follow them for too long, jinwoo would grab your chin and distract you with a kiss-
(which unfortunately for you, worked every time.)
the more you spent your time with him, the more you began to realize that those same wisps that exuded from his form would ultimately surround you as well. you recall the first night you had seen them after working a late shift at the diner that was your job during that time. once you had clocked out and stepped into the cold, night air, you swore you saw something shift within your shadow. curious as to what it was, you step closer to one of the streetlights, hoping that it would further accentuate your shadow-
only to nearly scream when you saw what looked like five pairs of glowing, purple eyes looking back at you. after the realization, you gasped and took a step back, suddenly finding yourself in someone’s arms, jinwoo’s happy voice whispering within your ear.
“hello, my beloved treasure. are you ready to go home?”
your head was spinning, looking at him, then back at your shadow to see it return back to its slender shape, glowing eyes all gone as your head began to spin. swallowing thickly, you turn around to hide your face within his chest.
“hm, what’s wrong, sarang?”
“it’s nothing.”
maybe you were just tired, that’s all. you didn’t want to worry jinwoo and tell him how you saw glowing, purple eyes staring back at you.
perhaps you should take his advice and stop working such late shifts after all?
instead, you ignored those feelings of suspicion, simply cuddling closer to jinwoo as he walked back with you to your shared apartment (completely missing his sigh of relief when you didn’t bring up his soldiers seen in your shadow.)
you didn’t know why you ignored all the strangeness surrounding your beloved boyfriend, but perhaps it was due to the fact that he was such a walking green flag that you truly didn’t care nor mind.
ultimately, he was the best thing that ever happened to you, and who were you to give him up so easily?
after years spent dating, jinwoo finally proposes to you at the ripe age of 27, with you accepting his proposal within seconds. you recall basking in his sweet kisses before proceeding to make love with him the night of his proposal, further cementing your promises of forever with him.
after your marriage, you didn’t think of such weirdness ever again… choosing to simply ignore the shadowy wisps as you correctly guessed that they were meant to protect you-
however, it all reached a boiling point when your son, suho, reached his first birthday and began floating across the dining room table. your eyes go wide, seeing him glowing as the shadowy wisps surrounded your baby boy. he had gotten upset when you didn’t let him eat his birthday cake. one moment you were telling suho to wait for his papa, and the next he was floating above you with pieces of his cake clutched tightly within his tiny grasps.
jinwoo told you he had some work to do at the station, but you were too panicked to wait for him to come home tonight. in your anxious state, you called him right away, feeling grateful that he answers on the second ring.
“hello love-“
“jinwoo…! suho is… he’s floating and the shadows are trying to help him down… but he’s not coming down!”
you follow your child in hopes of catching him if he ever decided to come down, hearing jinwoo shift around a bit on the other line.
“don’t worry, sarang… i told you that i know how to fly, too, right?” amusement was heard in his voice, and you felt a sense of pure annoyance flooding your veins.
“you most certainly have not told me such things! and i expect a full explanation when you come home!”
“wait, my love-“
“and i mean everything, jinwoo sung!”
you hang up the call quickly, watching as suho took a nose dive back into your arms. filled with a sense of relief, you felt your son smear his cake all over your blouse and take a step back-
only to detect the faint scent of your husband’s cologne as his powerful arms were felt wrapped around you.
“how do you manage to do that?” you hiss at him, eyes weakly glaring at him when he holds you even tighter to his chest. again, he had appeared when you needed him the most.
“later, my love… i’ll tell you later… first, let’s celebrate our suho’s precious birthday.”
“bah!!!” suho’s eager cries for his father makes your heart melt, easing your anger just the tiniest bit. you pout while transferring suho into jinwoo’s arms, snickering when your son manages to smear even more bits of frosting and cake against his turtleneck sweater.
the next few hours were spent with you finishing up dinner and celebrating suho’s first birthday with his lopsided cake. never wishing to remain too far away from you or suho, jinwoo settles your form on his lap while you held on to suho, cleaning the crumbs of his cake off of his mouth as your husband cuddled close to you and your son.
when nightfall came and jinwoo helped put suho to bed in his crib, you stayed close by with your arms crossed over your chest. when he shuts suho’s door, his solemn, grey eyes meet with your gaze. you gesture at him to follow you out into the balcony, and he does so while wrapping a hand around your waist.
you slide open the glass door and close it, speaking in hushed tones so as to not disturb your neighbors. “i turned a blind eye to many things when it comes to you jinwoo… solely because i love you so damn much.”
he hums, holding you tightly in his embrace while momentarily looking at the skies.
“from shadows that seem to surround me to your strange glowing eyes-“
“we have a history together, my love.” jinwoo interrupts you, not looking away from the sky.
his words make you look up at him. “obviously, we do. we’ve been together since the start of college.”
“no… before that. way before that.”
taking advantage of his strength, he turns you around so that you were now facing him. his eyes glow that same, startling hue as his hands gripped at your shoulders tightly. “if you wish to know the truth, the whole truth, then say the word. i’m no longer the coward i once was… i’m certain i can keep you by my side regardless of what happens.”
you let out a shaky breath before giving him a nod as your final answer.
he brings you closer to him now, surrounding you within his powerful embrace as he kisses you fully on the lips. the shadows dance around you once more, as you saw a faint glow surrounding your form from beneath your closed eyelids-
and that single action alone was enough to pull the curtain away from your very memories.
there were gates and hunters… monarchs and monsters that threatened to destroy all of humanity…
and there was you and jinwoo…
a hunter with his healer…
all at once, you felt your vivid memories returning back to you, the onslaught of visions being too much to bear that you had a hard time discerning all of them. you end up falling against jinwoo, his arms being wrapped around you in a comforting manner as he prevented you from slumping against the ground.
your head was pounding, yet despite the pain, you manage to look up at him, seeing jinwoo with his eyes clenched shut as tears streamed down his face.
“i’ve been so alone- i’ve kept this burden of mine a secret for so long, and this may be selfish of me, but- i’m truly so happy that you know.”
you shake your head and push through the pain, leaning up to kiss him deeply as he delves his fingers into your hair. as the full moon shone brightly against your entangled forms, you knew that jinwoo had always been your soulmate from the start.
as you spend the following years in marital bliss, you gave suho a little sister named sera, a precious little girl who held both yours and jinwoo’s features while having your eyes. even at such a young age, suho swore to protect his little sister while allowing jinwoo’s shadow soldiers to surround both of them.
yet there was a growing concern between you and jinwoo when it came to your children. after all, jinwoo wanted both suho and sera to live a relatively normal and peaceful life, forcing him to lock away their memories pertaining to the powerful nature of their father (a power that they were sure to inherit someday.)
after jinwoo had erased your children’s memories, you spent the night in your children’s room comforting them, with beru crying while clutching on tightly to suho’s drawing depicting beru holding hands with both him and sera. as the former ant king leaves the room, you whisper to jinwoo.
“will you leave them in the dark forever?”
he shakes his head, bringing you into his embrace while pressing a kiss against your hair. “no, not forever. they’re both still too young… and i’d like to give the fruits of our love some happiness… after all, being children of the shadow monarch is no easy burden to bear…”
you hum in agreement, moving your head so that you could meet his lips in a searing kiss. regardless of what the future would bring, you swore to always remain by jinwoo’s side, all while protecting and raising your children…
“mom, if you keep cutting the cucumbers too much, it’ll be like baby food.”
you snap out of your reveries just then, looking down to see a 10-year old sera looking up at you with an innocent expression. you giggle and pick up the slender girl, allowing her to sit on the counter as you placed the cut cucumbers into a bowl for tonight’s kimchi.
“thank you for helping your mama.” you smile and brush your lips against your daughter’s forehead, earning a giggle from her.
“mama, where’s oppa…? it’s getting late.”
you purse your lips, looking up at the clock to see that it was 6:45pm… sera was right. usually suho would come home from school at around 3pm with your husband joining later around 8 to 9pm.
“my queen, do not fret, for your husband and young monarch are here…” tusk whispers in your ear, making your eyes widen in response.
as if on cue, the door was heard opening, with jinwoo carrying an unconscious suho in his arms.
“oppa!” sera calls out to her brother, jumping off the counter to meet with her father, “papa, is he okay? is oppa hurt?!”
jinwoo chuckles, ruffling his daughter’s hair with a fondness. “your oppa is fine, he just has a little headache. how about you keep him company until he feels better?”
sera gives him a determined nod, following jinwoo into suho’s room when you decide to put all of the ingredients for tonight’s dinner back into the fridge.
after all, jinwoo had a lot of explaining to do.
while waiting for jinwoo’s return, you poured him an ice cold glass of lemonade, filling it to the brim and offering it to him when you felt his arms suddenly encircle around your waist a couple of minutes later.
“thanks, honey…”
you face him, watching him drain the entire glass within seconds.
“where’s sera?”
“staying by her brother’s side until he wakes up. i told her to keep a close watch on him, he should feel better when dinner’s ready.”
you nod and lean against the kitchen sink. “and… just what did you do?”
you take a moment to admire him, feeling a sense of womanly pride filling you at the fact that he was your husband. despite how it was clear that jinwoo had aged, with slight wrinkles against the corner of his eyes and corner of his lips, he still looked as handsome as the day you first met him-
perhaps even handsomer than before.
settling the empty glass to the side, he wraps his arms around your back. “i was testing him, to see if he was ready to fully inherit my abilities. i even made a system for him to help level up as well.”
you hum and sway back and forth in his arms. “and…?”
jinwoo scoffs, “he is far from ready… filled with overconfidence and a cockiness that’s seen in all teenagers his age. suho has been too spoiled, never once facing the dangers or the fear of death… and such inexperience could lead to his downfall.”
your husband’s words manage to earn a laugh from you. “weren’t you just as cocky back then, too?”
jinwoo rolls his eyes, playfully taking your hand before gently biting down against your fingertip. “there’s a difference between fighting to protect what matters and when to stop when victory cannot be achieved. suho has yet to learn that."
he sighs when he sees the concerned look in your eyes, bringing you closer to him as he presses a lingering kiss against your forehead. “i just want him to be able to protect himself and sera if anything were to happen to us… and at the moment, he’s not ready to receive the full gift of my powers just yet.”
you let out a hum and rest your head against his chest. “our babies are growing up so fast… it’s crazy how far our family has come. i trust you and your judgement, jinwoo. because regardless… i’m so happy that i was able to be the mother of your children.”
“and you have no idea how happy i am to be the father of your children.”
after spending a few extra moments sharing kisses, jinwoo smiles down at you while framing at your face with his two hands.
“how about we order some fried chicken with all of our children’s favorite side dishes… as a treat and an apology for scaring our son?”
you giggle and roll your eyes at your husband and his playful smile, feeling your heart become alight with pure love for him-
praying that such bliss with him and your precious kids will last for forever and a day…
{ done being distracted | the one i need is right in my arms | your kisses taste the sweetest with mine | and i’ll be right here with you 'til end of time. }

A Fresh Start
part two of the Someone Special AU
Pairing: Vampire!Darklina x Vampire!Reader
Summary: Settling into life as a vampire isn’t what you expected, but Aleksander and Alina are more than happy to guide you.
Warnings [18+]: mentions of masturbation, nudity, soft dark vibes, similar warnings to part one, vampire themes, blood consumption, reader is reliant on Aleksander and Alina for everything
My Masterlist
Tumblr media
The first day you spend with Aleksander and Alina appears to have been a fluke - the last of your human energy being used up - because by the next day you’re exhausted. Aleksander assures you it’s normal for a fledgling vampire to sleep for the majority of the day when they’re a newborn.
It doesn’t take long for your mind to melt into a hazy mess. All that you’re aware of is forehead kisses, the sweet taste of hot blood in your mouth, and the sticky mess of arousal between your thighs that they wipe away carefully with a damp cloth.
Sometime during the fourth or fifth day, Aleksander is carrying you to bed after feeding you his blood, only for you to tighten your grip, looping your arms around his neck when he attempts to let go of you.
“No,” you whine, pitifully high with distress as you cling to him. “I’m not tired.”
“Yes, you are, little one. You need your sleep.”
Aleksander settles you down on your mattress and helps you slip underneath the covers, tucking you in with care. For comfort, he gives you one of the plush animals from the collection Alina has lovingly assembled over the years of preparation for you - a fluffy brown bear with a cream bow around its neck - which you grasp onto, fidgeting with its ear in agitation.
When he turns away, heading for the doorway, you can no longer hold back your tears. The prospect of an empty bed, and falling asleep in the dark, has your throat constricting in fear.
“Aleksander,” you plead, sniffling as you press the bear tightly against your chest to ease the discomfort there. “Please don’t leave me alone.” He stops immediately. “I know it’s silly, but after what happened in the forest, I- I’m scared of the dark.”
He doesn’t say anything until he’s standing beside your bed, reaching over the bars to wipe your cheeks.
“Would you like me to stay with you until you fall asleep?” he suggests softly.
You nod.
Aleksander moves over towards one of the cabinets at the side of the room, lifting the lid of a little box and a tinkling melody begins to play.
He opens up the gate closest to him, climbing easily onto your bed. Almost instantly, you scramble to lie beside him. The stuffed bear stays pressed against your chest as you drape your legs over Aleksander’s, grasping onto his shirt tightly.
He smiles as you bury your head into the crook of his neck and the tension leaks from your body the moment he begins petting your hair.
“There we go,” he breathes out softly. His voice is gentle as he continues doting on you. “Deep breaths. Just relax.” His hand strokes down your body, encouraging you to nestle further into him. “That’s better, isn’t it, sweet girl?” The hand that isn’t in your hair rubs your thigh, the bare skin exposed as your nightgown shifts upwards. “You’ve been so brave for us.” A kiss is pressed to your forehead. “Such a good girl, sleeping and feeding when we tell you to.”
It hasn’t really been a conscious choice - adhering to the routine they’ve crafted for you. Hunger and exhaustion have been the driving forces behind your obedience. It’s hard not feed on Alina - when she offers you her fingers, sticky with blood from the shallow cuts created by her own fangs. Especially when her blood makes you feel so full, and warm, and safe. It’s almost embarrassing, the amount of times you’ve fallen asleep while feeding on them.
Just the thought of feeding makes you squirm slightly, a familiar heaviness growing between your legs. One morning, to your embarrassment, you had awoken with your hand tucked underneath your panties, fingers reaching for your leaking cunt. Aleksander had told you very firmly that he knew this instance was an accident, but you couldn’t touch yourself. Alina explained later on that it would overwhelm you.
Despite your frustration and arousal, you doubt your current capability to touch yourself efficiently enough to climax.
The scent of blood draws your attention back to the present, as Aleksander presses the pad of his thumb against your lips. Instantly, you open your mouth, allowing his thumb to press against your tongue. The tiny break in the skin there causes a casual flow of blood, just a taste. It’s the final nudge you need to fall asleep.
Aleksander would never let anything bad happen to you.

As soon as you see Alina, a lightness fills your chest and your mouth waters. She smiles at you, casting the book she was reading aside.
“Good morning,” she says, gesturing for you to join her. “Come here, little one.” As soon as you’re within arms reach, she pulls you into her lap and you can’t stop yourself from smiling as you get comfortable. Her own smile widens. “That’s my girl.” She brushes some hair away from your face. “Did you sleep well?”
You nod. The conversations you’ve had with them both have been brief. Stolen moments between your naps and feeding sessions when your mind clears enough for you to focus on your words.
“How long will I be like this?” you ask her.
She frowns, her hands rubbing casually down your sides.
“What do you mean, sweet girl?”
“I’m always tired, and hungry.”
She laughs, petting your hair fondly.
“I’d say around another week.” That makes you frown slightly, trying to grasp the concept of time and whether a week is long. Thinking becomes more difficult, as your mind latches onto the sound of Alina’s heart beating. She seems to notice. “Are you hungry now, my darling?”
You nod, whining for her. She reaches over to the table beside her, picking up a fruit knife from the plate where a half sliced apple is sitting. With her other hand, she loosens the ribbons at the front of her dress.
Slowly, she drags the blade across the top of her breast, at the point where her chest begins to soften. The cut is shallow, but blood soon blooms brightly and the sight of it draws you in.
“Go ahead. Drink your fill.”

one week later

It’s strange being out in sunlight. All the stories you’ve heard about vampires paint the image of a monstrous creature that belongs to the night. But the sun is gentle on your skin, shining cheerfully down on you.
Basket in hand, you follow Alina obediently as she pulls up potatoes from the garden. Her hands are muddy, as is her dress, but her eyes are bright as she relishes in the work. She hums a soft tune, a melody you’re familiar with but can’t quite identify.
It feels as though you’re seeing the world for the first time, staring up at the clear blue sky and smelling the rich dirt as a cool gust of wind strokes your cheeks. Birdsong echoes in the distance. The scent of flowers and greenery dances along the breeze.
Suddenly, you realise Alina has moved further down the patch at some point while you were distracted by an orange butterfly. Aleksander will be able to tell you what kind it is later.
“Feeling alright, sweet girl?” she asks, concern crinkling at her features. Quickly, you nod and head back towards her. “If you’re getting tired, we can go back inside?”
Immediately, you shake your head.
“No. I like being outside.”
She smiles softly, sweeping a stray strand of hair back behind your ear.
“I do too.”
Aleksander is sitting beneath a tree in the corner of the garden, a book in his lap that he soon replaces with your head. He strokes your forehead gently, fingertips smoothing down the length of your nose as your eyes flutter closed, unused to the bright light of the sun.
Alina sits down beside him, retrieving a ripe berry which she holds against your lips and you bite eagerly into the morsel. Yesterday, they had begun your slow reintroduction to solid food, and strawberries from the garden are currently your absolute favourite. Everything tastes better now, though not as delicious as their blood.
Aleksander picks up his book, reading the story aloud. Alina turns the page for him, when needed, so that he doesn’t have to let go of you. The three of you sit there in the sun, while they provide you with all the affectionate touches and strawberries they can give you.

☆donghyuck after an argument with you oneshot!!☆
☆song recommended for this fic - Y Si Fuera Ella by SHINee's Jonghyunnie☆
- small tags : established relationship, slight angst?, boyfriend!hyuck, lots of tears from hyuck:(, tears from y/n too, it's a crying party, make-up make-out, hyuck standing in the rain. -
Tumblr media
-------------------------------------------
"Why the fuck wouldn't you tell me about this, y/n?! Hm?!" Hyuck shouted at you as he shook the papers he found hidden in your nightstand vigorously in front of you. The papers stated that you had been accepted into University of Busan. You and Donghyuck lived in a small house in Seoul, and had been doing so for 2 years. You were happy together. Seoul to Busan would mean moving, leaving everything behind, leaving Hyuck behind.
"I thought you'd be angry, and you are!" you screamed back, not allowing yourself to be reduced to nothing by him.
Yours and Hyuck's love was just like this. Rough and passionate. Everything in your relationship was passionate, from the sex to the arguing. You both were constantly overwhelmed by the emotions that would arise when being together, and you fucking loved it. You loved him.
He sighed shortly and pressed his thumb and index finger to the top of his nose bridge as he looked up momentarily, frustration pent up in his normally relaxed face.
"No, y/n, it's not that. It's the fact you didn't bother asking me if this was okay. No, no, it's not even that! It's the fact you didn't tell me you got this letter in the first place."
Hyuck's eyes had gone from sharp and piercing to teary and desperate.
"Are you.. are you going to leave me?" He whispered, his voice cracking slightly as he swallowed the lump arising in his throat. He felt like his neck and been wrapped in barbed wire, and it was being tightened from behind.
You gently padded over to him and pressed the back of his head down so he was resting his face on your shoulder.
"I don't know, Hyuckie, I don't know." You felt his chest heave, making your tears begin to drop too. His nails began to dig into you as he lifted his head, pressing his forehead to yours.
"You can't leave me here. I need you. I want you." He whispered shakily against your lips. He looked down and grabbed your hands, squeezing them. His eyes were red and puffy, cheeks painted with a rosy hue and glasses steamed slightly.
You looked down at where he squeezed your hands, thinking for a moment. Was it worth leaving the love of your life for something that could change your life? No. Your life wouldn't mean anything without him in it. But still, the thought of what could be lingered. You could study your dream degree.
"Hyuck, I'm going to leave for a while. I need to think very long and hard about what I'm doing with myself. This might be the most important decision of my life." You huffed as you slowly unlinked his fingers from yours, letting his hands droop to his sides.
Grabbing your coat, you began to walk towards the front door, grabbing your bag and hanging it over yourself. Donghyuck was walking closely behind you, muttering the words 'don't go.. don't leave' as he watched you head for the door.
You didn't get far out of the driveway before you collapsed onto your knees, rain soaking your hair and body. Bringing your hands to your face, Hyuck ran over to you and wrapping his arms behind you, sniffling. He turned you so you were crying onto his chest, not caring about getting drenched.
"No.. I can't do it, Hyuck. I can't imagine my life without you. I'm sorry.. I'm sorry.." You blabbered over and over into his chest, muffling your voice and cries. He gently stroked your wet hair, shushing and gently swaying you. You felt the droplets from his wet hair land onto your head.
"It's okay. Don't be sorry, I should be sorry.." He placed his chin on top of your head as his eyes fluttered closed.
Hyuck lifted your chin so you could meet his eyes.
"You have your dreams. I can't control that. All I ask is that you never stop loving me." He softly speaks in your ear.
You stare at his eyes, then down to his lips.
You kiss Haechan as if you had been starved. He melts into your wet touch, his tongue fighting with yours for dominance. Hyuck picks you up bridal style and shuts the front door behind you both whilst you pepper soft kisses down his neck. He groans slightly at your softness, and places you down onto the couch gently. He removes your coat, then your shirt and he replaces your bra with a towel.
He softly kisses your forehead as he removes his soaked shirt, and brings himself to share your towel.
"I love you y/n. I'll support you, no matter what you want to do. Forever."
"I love you more Hyuck."

foreword: first proper fic for dad!Steve series!! thanks for requesting, anon. happy mother’s day to those who celebrate, and to those who don’t (cheers)- I hope this fic is a comfort. hair texture and skin color of the kids in this series will not be described- any physical descriptors will be of their likeness to Steve. if you want to read the origin story/meet-cute of this version of Steve + reader, you can read that here!
Tumblr media
{for every ear a flower: series masterlist}
cw: mom!reader, R wears Steve’s shirt, the whole fam is sick in this one (no emetophobia warning tho!), fluff and parental caretaking
wc: 1.6k
___
There’s a soft noise around the corner, and Steve dog-ears his novel to scoot forward on the couch, voice soft and inviting. “Hey, buttercup. That you?”
His eldest daughter, JJ, peeks out from the entryway of the living room. “Me.”
“It’s you,” Steve confirms with a hum, setting his book on the coffee table to open his arms. “C’mere, babe. Your stomach hurting again?”
JJ gravitates towards her dad’s lap like a magnet, dragging her yellow flower-print baby blanket behind her. She’s already three and a half, but Steve hopes she never grows out of it- or the tiny socks with ruffles, warm in his big hand as he holds both her feet in a comforting squeeze.
“Head hurts,” JJ says, in a heartbreaking whine, settling her weight against the contours of Steve’s chest.
He sighs in sympathy, rocking his first baby in his arms like he did when she was even smaller. “Your head hurts? That’s no good.”
JJ makes a noise of agreement and burrows into Steve’s neck, cheek warm where skin meets skin. Steve slides a hand up her back, over her pink cotton nightie, to feel for lingering fever- her forehead is warm but not overly so.
In silent thanks to the wonders of Baby Tylenol, Steve kisses the crown of JJ’s head and pats the side of her leg. “Tell you what- it’s past bedtime but you’re not feeling so good. Wanna watch a movie out here with me ‘til you fall asleep?”
Normally this news would be cause for a screech of delight and some couch jumping, but on the tail end of a long week of sickness, Steve’s little girl just plucks absently at his shirt collar. “Mommy too?”
“Mommy’s putting your sister down for bed,” Steve says, and then (because he always tries to be mindful of where blame could land, knowing full well that disappointment can breed sibling rivalries, and he doesn’t think he could stand seeing that sisterly bond turn contentious)- “But I’ll go see if she needs some help, and then maybe we can all be cozy on the couch. Sounds good?”
JJ hums in response, sounding faded and fatigued, and Steve moves carefully to keep the jostling to a minimum as he stands to re-situate his kiddo on the couch. After tucking the blanket in yellow swaths around her body, Steve turns to the nearby VHS stack above the TV.
“You want Ariel?” he asks, already reaching to free The Little Mermaid from its plastic confines.
“Yeah. But no Urz-la,” comes the reply from the couch.
Steve kneels to load the tape into the deck, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose where they’d slipped. “I promise I’ll be back in time to fast forward.”
The VCR whirs, opening credits coming to life on the screen with a colorful overture to match. After lowering the volume, Steve backtracks to the couch again, dipping to place a kiss against the dimples in JJ’s hand where it curls around a fistful of fabric.
“Be back in a few, buttercup.”
The cheery music fades as Steve moves down the hall; the first door on the right is partially open, and he leans a shoulder against the frame, quietly observing, not wanting to interrupt your rhythm.
In a pair of comfy sweatpants and Steve’s old Hawkins High tee, your form moves smoothly around the darkened room, tracking a short loop from the crib to the changing table on the opposing wall. You’re walking with a gentle bounce, swaying the baby in your arms with each step, a constant murmur of nonsensical soothing as you rock your youngest to sleep.
“That’s it. You’re a sweet girl. Just close your eyes, ‘kay? Shh shh shh. Sleepy time.”
Steve can hear the exhaustion in your voice, even low as it is, and feels a twist of guilt- the college where the two of you work only allows librarian staff one day of sick leave per month, which Steve considers a crime (JJ gets sick at least that often from whatever germs her preschool provides).
Thankfully, his professor leave is slightly better, a generous three days a month, which he’s unintentionally blown in a week with this last bout of mystery sickness that’s been passed through his little family.
You, on the other hand, were only afforded a three-day weekend, and not a very restful one at that: on top of trying to recover from sickness yourself, a fevered baby Birdie has been overly fussy while JJ has been desperately clingy to both you and Steve.
It’s been a long weekend of rotating in and out of three bedrooms, disrupted sleep schedules, and speedy trips to the local pharmacy; a blur of constant motion as Steve and you have tried your best to stay afloat and tend to your sick kids.
Steve’s grateful the worst of it is over, now that everyone’s fevers have broken, and he’s glad you’ve still got a whole Sunday to recover. But by the looks of it- hovering uncertain over the bars of Birdie’s crib, unwilling to lay her sleeping form down- you’re not giving in to recoup time yet.
Steve moves in behind you, quiet still but shuffling his bare feet against the carpet a bit to let you know he’s there. “Hey,” he whispers into the curve of your neck, hands coming to rest at your hips, joining the rocking motion you’re keeping up for the sake of the baby. “How’s my girl?”
“Better, I think.” The arm that isn’t holding the weight of your six-month-old comes to rest against the fat of her cheek, Birdie’s closed eyelids fluttering while you feel for fever, just as Steve had earlier. “Hopefully she’ll sleep through the night, with this medicine.”
“Mhm. She’s a lot better, babe- I meant you.” Steve molds himself to the contours of your back, swaying to the tempo you keep, nosing up the line of your neck to place a kiss behind your ear. “Can’t pour from an empty chalice. Or whatever that saying is.”
There’s a soft stutter at your ribs as you exhale a laugh, hand still on the face of your sleeping baby. “Think Eddie’s wearing off on you.”
“God forbid.” His arms wrap around your middle, chin resting on your shoulder, smiling when he feels you lean some of your weight against him. “You can put her down, honey. She’s gonna be okay. Come watch Ariel with me ‘n buttercup. I’ll even skip past the scary parts for ya.”
“Well, in that case,” you whisper back, a tinge of amusement in your sleep-scratchy voice that hits Steve in his soft spot of love for you. With reluctance and practiced ease, you slip forward from his arms to lay Birdie in her crib, pausing to make sure she’ll settle without your warmth and movements.
She stays asleep, and you stay watching her, corner night light illuminating the steady rise and fall of her footy-pajama’d body with each breath until Steve takes your hand, gently coaxing- “She’s golden, honey. You did great. I’ve got the monitor by the couch, so we’ll hear if she’s up, okay?”
Your gaze stays on Birdie even as Steve leads you backwards towards the door, even leaning to catch one last glimpse before he pulls the door to a near-close. In the light of the hallway, you blink, looking more worn out than Steve’s ever seen you.
He brings your hand up to his mouth, kissing across the knuckles, tortoiseshell-framed eyes on your half-lidded ones. “Ariel?”
This seems to resonate in the fog of your mind; with a nod, you squeeze his hand. “Ariel.”
On the living room TV, Ariel and Flounder are exploring a shipwreck, and JJ’s watching from her snuggled spot with glazed eyes until she sees you in the doorway. “Mommy,” she says, with feeling, trying to prop herself up but getting tangled in the process.
“Hi, baby,” you greet with equal verve, kneeling to give your eldest baby some untangling and a kiss. “Can I watch Ariel with you?”
In response, JJ musters all her three-and-a-half-year-old strength to pull you on to the couch cushion, and Steve chuckles in tandem with you as you go easily, shushing gently- “Okay, JJ. Don’t strain yourself, angel, just rest.”
There’s nothing like your touch. Steve knows it, and so do both his kids- under the circular pattern you trace against JJ’s face pressed into your leg, her lashes flutter, lulled to calm again by the caress of your fingertips.
After Steve makes sure that the baby monitor on the windowsill is crackling with life, he eases into the spot beside you, draping his arm around your shoulders- you nestle into his side out of habit. JJ’s nearly asleep, but your hand doesn’t waver, generous and tender even though sleep pulls at the edges of all your movements.
A shark snaps at tailfins across the screen, volume low enough to not shake JJ from the sleep she’s fallen into. Steve kisses that same spot behind your ear, then whispers, “Perfectly good shoulder right here. Wish you’d use it.”
He’s rewarded with a dreamy smile as you give in, head dropping to rest in the hollow of his waiting shoulder. Your hand stops its tracing, instead landing to rest securely over your daughter’s arm.
Soon, Steve is eased to sleep by the quiet breaths filling the living room, head tilted back against the couch, glasses tilted to one side. He’ll have a killer neck crick in the morning, but it’ll be worth it.
And luckily for him, you’ve got the most healing hands in the world.

Note
on the topic of lj could we have some hc with the kids she knows
LJ thinks Chook is great, especially when she plays all rough because that means LJ gets to throw Chook over her shoulder and spin her around.
Rugrat captured LJ in one of her reading lessons and didn't let her go until LJ read a whole chapter of a book out loud to her with no mistakes. Thankfully, LJ wasn't the only one that had to try again.
LJ's most embarrassing moment was when Tesoro took the ball off her and she couldn't get it back. There's a video so she'll never live it down.
Superstar Bug coming up to LJ one day and explaining that because Jordan isn't in camp it's up to LJ to teach Bug to shoot now and when Bug grows up, LJ takes credit for teaching her all of her best moves.
LJ definitely takes part in teasing Leah with Bean. They like to make it a fun game to see who can annoy Leah the most.
Peanut and LJ are great friends. She's used to Peanut's antics and actively riles her up so they can have more fun together.
The first time Bear feel asleep on LJ was terrifying because she had no idea what she was meant to do or if she was allowed to put Bear down so she just held her for the whole hour of Bear's nap.
Pup came to camp one day and excitedly bragged to LJ about her having four mums now and how she would understand if LJ was jealous.
Princesse enjoyed when LJ took shots against her because she was training with a real life striker and she thinks it's preparing her for the real world.
LJ trying to sit in her normal seat in the dining hall but being stopped because Sir Quackers is sitting in her seat and she absolutely can't move him so LJ's left eating her breakfast standing up.
LJ actually enjoys coming to camp to hear Liefje's updates on Carpet. She's strangely invested in this shark's life and enjoys the pictures Liefje takes of him.
Munchkin demands uppies from LJ sometimes and LJ doesn't have the heart to refuse her so just kind of walks around with a happy Munchkin on her hip

Last chapter, part 7:
Tumblr media
'𝒀/𝒏, 𝒊𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒂 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝒎𝒂𝒏, 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒊𝒕 𝒃𝒆?'
'𝑯𝒂𝒉𝒂, 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕'𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒊𝒓𝒅 𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔, 𝑱𝒂𝒌𝒆? 𝑰 𝒔𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒓, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒔𝒌 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆... 𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒍, 𝑰'𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒏.'
You drifted your attention to the churros stand nearby, wanting a sweet treat. You didn't hear Jake's evil, spiteful intentions. The tempting, lying snake hissed:
'𝑰'𝒍𝒍 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓'𝒔 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞.'
He successfully did that with ease, which horrified you. And boy, the venom could've killed your happy marriage, almost. Luckily it was your faithful best friend that had it, or you would've been silently tortured with regret for not knowing the truth in his hell. Fucking hell, Jake, no wonder why people say you should run from a scorpio man.
But, let's forget about the shattered past, and focus on the thriving present, you and Hoon crying in each other's embrace, saying words filled with the upmost affection and actions that displayed their yearning for each other.
'Hoon...next time, please, tell me your thoughts, hm? I want to be with you, 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓.' You desperately plead, not wanting things to go haywire again.
'Mhmm, m'sorry...' He chokes out, clearly affected by Jake's mental abuse.
It was finally back to normal, back to a loving family. You guys could finally sleep in peace, Hoon's toned body moving so elegantly. It was so fast, making up. You even questioned if it was a silly dream. Either way, you wouldn't want to go back. And you weren't EVER going to see Jake enter your life.
Tumblr media
'Shh,' whispers Sunghoon cutely, 'let's wake up momma.'
The two loved doing that, waking you up with kisses and cuddles, before playing with each other for a short bit of time. The weather was bright and hopeful, which gave you the impression that, after a hard-fought battle, with determination, you can succeed. What a perfect day to wake up in, you could even cry.
Jin Ae crawls to you, giggling quietly and looking at her father with such amusment. She was like a piece of him, their smooth-riding relationship so wholesome. They both lean in, count themselves to three before launching their weapons of tender kisses.
'Hehe, hello my baby!!' You sleepily smiled, before welcoming the morning with your husband,
'Hello, daddy...' You smirked, knowing damn well how it gives him a dopamine and ego boost.
'Hello my pretty, beautiful, stunning baby wife...' He complimented, laying down and hugging you and Jin Ae, each on both sides of his chest.
'Ahh, my two girls, how lucky I am to have you all.' He kissed the top of your heads, 'Mine, mine, mine, mine, 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞.' He said the last word like a hungry beast, but immdiately became a cute penguin, baby baekgyu. Jin Ae couldn't contol her laughter at this point, soothing sounds echoing in this haven.
'Baby,' Sunghoon started, pecking the two of you now and then, 'should we go to the park?'
Your jokes were as cringey as his, which is probably why many people were astonished by your humor.
'Which Park, your Mum, your Dad? Jay? Yeji?'
He chuckles whilst dies at your jokes,
'Babe, that was so...wow'
'You can't say much,' You said with a smug smile, 'imagine saying, "𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒐 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 '𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒐' 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚".' You came back, knowing he will be overwhelmingly embarrased.
'BABE!! Stoppp, that was one of my worst moments in life, frick Jay.' He whined, but made sure to keep the language child-friendly, knowing Jin Ae can learn quickly.
'Haha, but yeah, we should go to the park, and let's bring Jay and Yeji!'
'Mhmm, they deserve it, AND HEESEUNG. SHOOT, I FORGOT ABOUT HIM! He was like my lifesaver.. We should probably make them gifts...' He agrees.
'I know just the thing...' You said confidently, making Sunghoon look at you, wanting for you to continue,
'FOOD!' You happily shouted, and Jin Ae copied too,
'Food!' She chortled, clapping her hands. Her and Sunghoon's cuteness broke the scales, damn...
Tumblr media
'Heyy!! Thanks for tagging us along!' Says the three friends, excited for the payment of their therupatic actions.
'Where are we going?' Yeji asks, trying to contain the urge to just take Sunghoon's card and run off.
'Haha, we'll go to a kbbq place, Heeseung's favourite, especially.' You said, 'Oh yeah, it was Sunghoon's idea.' You grinned, because Sunghoon didn't want others to know how soft he was.
'Awww, thanks bro, come to my place anytime-' He stops, seeing your angry glare, 'OR stay with lovely Y/n right here...' He mumbles, rubbing his nape.
You guys ate like you were famished, finishing the bowl within a few minutes, but the food was definitely worth the hype.
'You know what, I feel like this is a bribe, BUT I'M ALL FOR IT.' Yeji proclaimed, earning a laugh from everyone.
'Y/niee,' starts Heeseung, doing something very unusual with his body...
Tumblr media
'Lee Heeseung...' You said slowly with a deep tone, looking as dead as Jay is, who ends up averting his attention to Jin Ae, Yeji and Sunghoon getting stitches from laughing too hard, 'what on earth are you doing' You fake cried.
'I WAS TRYING TO DO AGEYOOOO' Wanting to be six-feet-under.
'But anyways, where we going for dessert?'
The group pondered about the various options, Jin Ae just scribbling on the piece of drawing given by the staff.
'Oh, I know, why not we go and pop over to dollywon's bakery and order from there!' You implied, knowing everyone loves going there.
'YEAH, THAT'S A GREAT IDEA! I love her bakeries' Says Yeji, scrolling on her phone to look for the menu.
'Oh yeah, Y/n, can we go to a library?' Asks Jay, 'I've been wanting to read a few poets and authors'
'Of course! Hoon, you can go to the park with Heeseung and Yeji when that happens, yeah?'
Sunghoon looks offended, 'OBVIOUSLY, I'M NOT LIKE THAT GRANDPA.'
Jay swears in korean, knowing Jin Ae isn't that knowledgeable.
'Right, let's go!!'
Tumblr media
'Hi Reesa!!' Greets Y/n, who's happy to see her coquette friend. Y/n orders from her bakery when she's in need of something sweet, sometimes, she wants to take Reesa too.
'Hi Y/n! It's been awhile, I see we have a few costumers!' She notions to the group.
'Yep, all wanting a bite!' You chuckle, Jin Ae's motioning that she wants the chocolate muffin.
'Yup, all done! Thanks Y/n!' Says Reesa. 'Oh, and one more thing...' She takes out the chocolate muffin, 'I see mini hoon has been wanting this.' She smiles. She's so kind, no wonder why Jungwon took her as his girlfriend.
'Mmm,' hums Heeseung in delight, 'this is soooo yummy!'
The three manage to feed themselves, unlike your family. You're feeding Sunghoon like the baby he is right now, and Sunghoon's feeding the real baby. Jay takes a photo, knowing you'll want it in the picture book.
'Right,' burps Heeseung, 'let's go to the park, yeahhh?' He coos to Jin Ae.
'We'll be heading to the library, see you.'
Tumblr media
'Y/n, what authors do you recommend? I've been quite busy lately, so I wanted to take reading just to let my imagination run wild.' Jay asks calmly, passing each shelf of books.
'I've got to say, authors like Haze, Rin, Aria, Reina, Nessa, Juila, Aeri, Rae have been taking my time, and it was worth it!' You advised, knowing how good these people are. They're like the rulers of literature, and they certaintly produce the highest-quality works.
'Ah, I have heard of them, and they're works are quite...interesting.' You realise what he meant, and squirmed in embarrassment.
'That's why there are restrictions, dummy!' You hit him, earning a sharp gasp and hiss.
'Ha, imagine if Sunghoon found out-'
'Let's just find a story to read, yeah!?' You whisper shouted, annoyed by his teasing. The Park brothers sure have something in common.
'AHH, JIN AE-AH!! GO, GO!!' cheers Heeseung.
While Jay and Y/n were purchasing books, Yeji and Jin Ae were playing tag, Jin Ae being the tagger. Sunghoon's taken many videos of the moment, wanting to keep this memory.
'We're back!!' Exclaims Y/n, hugging Sunghoon who had his arms out open for you to come.
'Haha, you missed out on some beautiful moments' chuckles Sunghoon, knowing you'll be devastated.
'What!? When..' You whine, but Sunghoon's such a romantic. He back hugs you, places his head on top of yours, intertwinned you fingers with his and says,
'Don't worry, darling. We'll make more beautiful moments, forever.'

My own list of overly-detailed c!stagedduo headcanons because dr3's list inspired me:
c!Punz keeps up with the revival experiments while c!Dream is in prison. Why not? Dream is already past schedule, and Vikk and Lazar are still lying around somewhere, perfectly usable. It's weird doing it alone. Punz can't help but feel like he's doing something wrong, lacking direction, lacking leadership, but then he decides that's stupid—he's just as invested in this work as Dream is, if not more. It's almost like an addiction he was craving and had to return to. It's fine. Dream will surely be happy with his efforts anyway.
c!Punz doesn't need to be told about the torture. It's staring him in the face. Dream always covers himself up, but Punz still sees the evidence. But Dream keeps acting like everything is normal, so Punz kind of just assumes it is. It doesn't really affect the present, does it? Neither of them have the right words to address it anyway. Life continues and it's normal and it's fine, but a part of Punz still resents Dream for letting this go so wrong.
c!Dream kind of assumes that the scrapped lore is c!Punz's betrayal. It's the only explanation that makes sense—and it wouldn't be the first miscalculation he's made. After the incident, he hides himself away, and Punz senses that something is weird(er than usual), so they probably meet sometime shortly after and it's confrontational and emotional. And Dream knows that he should be smarter in how he goes about this, but he's still raw from everything that's happened and he gets angry and defensive and scared and the whole thing comes out, all of it. This is also probably when Punz finds out about Quackity's involvement in everything; he would've assumed it was just Sam. It's not long after that Punz seeks out Purpled.
I hard agree on dr3's point that c!Punz seeks out c!Purpled behind c!Dream's back. I struggle to see a reality where revealing Punz as an ally in this situation is something that Dream would do, and the way that Punz delivers his pitch almost sounds emotional to the point of impulsive. Also, the whole Purpled-Quackity situation took place while Dream was still in prison, so Dream wouldn't have seen Purpled anywhere near Las Nevadas while he was scouting it out for the scrapped lore (unless he somehow saw Purpled taking Slime, which seems unlikely). Punz would naturally know more about Purpled at this point than Dream, which yeah, I'm sure he shares with him later, but with how weird these two are with information, I wouldn't be surprised if he's kept it to himself for now.
c!Vikk and c!Lazar aren't really used again after the prison. Maybe they try briefly, but it doesn't last. Dream is the one who insists that they stop. Vikk and Lazar are too far gone, it's better to get firsthand results anyway. (And it's nothing to do with cruelty, Dream doesn't care about cruelty, but it just might have something to do with vulnerability.)
c!Dream doesn't show c!Punz his face.

So I know everyone in the fandom hates Marisol. But my question is why, why do y’all hate her so much that y’all are referring to the fact that buck should be more hurt by Eddies cheating than the actual person he’s cheating on? Don’t get me wrong buck will be hurt that he was used as an instrument to help him cheat. But why is her pain going to be so ignored, cause I can see it now how there’ll be so many comments along the lines of well “this is great cause he broke up with her now we can head towards the buddie storyline”. The thing is no one is technically holding Eddie back from possibly discovering he’s gay other than Eddie. Is Eddie using the fact that he so wants a mother figure in Christopher’s life to continue dating women YES!!! Absolutely. But no one is forcing him, no one is asking him too. What he has to realize is that finding someone for Christopher isn’t going to make him happy but finding someone for him will. But this is absolutely not the answer. Plus it feels so out character for Eddie as a person to cheat regardless of context. Like when Hen cheated we didn’t know her well enough to know if this was normal behavior, but with Eddie he’s so do the right thing even if the right thing feels wrong and acting purely on obligation alone, this is the first time in a show cheating has made me really wince. Marisol has been in the show since season six and we know absolutely nothing about her. Her likes or dislikes, who she is as a person and that’s completely on the writers for not giving her any substance cause they totally can. But there is no active reason to hate her expect for y’all thinking she’s holding Eddie back. Another thing this will definitely cause a rift in him and bucks relationship. So even if they are dating by end of season 8 it’ll still be beyond difficult for them knowing eddies past with cheating. Along with the fact that when everything is too normal he self sabotages the relationship every single time cause I think deep down he doesn’t feel like he deserves simple and reassuring love from someone unconditionally.

Thank-you for listening to my Ted-talk
P.s. y’all can’t make me hate a women I don’t know nothing about and root for Tommy who we don’t know enough about either!!!

I know this is an extremely controversial topic and we shouldn't discuss what we don't know but this is coming from a good place.
I'm just worried. I hope Richard's health is good. But surely him having a belly like that is a sign of something that's not going well. He's not gaining weight anywhere else on his body and this isn't about his weight at all. I'm just concerned that his gut may be a sign of something like IBS, bad liver or heart problems due to his smoking.
Again I'm sorry for bringing this up but it is not normal and I don't want him to suffer in any way.
Hi anon.. it's kind of you to worry about his health, i think we all want our guys to be happy and healthy and enjoying life 🌺
That said, i think we shouldn't try to put diagnostical health labels on what we see, we have no idea how his health is (and we shouldn't really)
Richard's bodytype has always been of the 'rounder' variety, even in his younger days; he was never as lean as for instance Flake or Olli. Maybe just in the 'cocaine years' he was a bit more angular, but we don't want to go back to that (at least i hope he won't).
to me he looks a bit 'better filled out' all over, also especially in the chest and shoulders area, and the tummy gets the extra effect of sticking out about because of the curve in his back.
Most importantly for me, he feels comfortable the way he looks, even giving us glimpses of the goods by letting his coat hang open (and bending forward....he knows we're looking 👀)
And who knows, maybe he carries a little bit extra weight because he quit smoking and is eating sweets instead....come to think of it...has anyone seen him with a cigarette recently 🤔

Hello!
If you take requests, can I request WxS (separately) with reader who's burnout because there are many assignments from school that reader need to finish but the deadline is short. reader feel tired and overwhelmed because of it and can't take it anymore so they ended up breaking down
Sorry for my bad english :)
don't worry about your english, it's great!
☆~W×S with a burnt out s/o
wabatle nonsense:
guess who got lazy with their pictures again
also i made it seem more like reader is depressed than burnt out but oh well
warnings: none~
taglist: @stellas-starry-stove13, Rui is waiting! @akitosheart, Rui and Tsukasa are waiting!
Tumblr media
☆~Tsukasa Tenma
He is so worried
Constantly interrogating you on what you're doing that's making you so stressed
Then he realized that whatever was causing such pain has exhausted you to the point where you don't feel like doing anything
You had started skipping rehearsals, and had also expressed that you just wanted to go home, and Tsukasa was beating himself up about not telling you to take a break earlier
He constantly will go to your house to make sure you're taking care of yourself
I can't even describe what a worrywart he is I'm sorry
But he will be taking care of you until you feel better
Tumblr media
☆~Emu Otori
She doesn't exactly understand.
Of course, she's worried. The person she loves most is exhausted from life, but she doesn't understand why
She'll go to check in on you all the time
Once you started skipping rehearsals she started freaking out
She told Nene all about it, and Nene told her that you were probably just burnt out
So, Emu decided to try baking for you, buying you sweets, bringing you games to play, anything that would cheer you up
She would be such a sweetheart, and never give up until you're happy again.
Tumblr media
☆~Nene Kusanagi
Nene understands on another level. She's been burnt out before, specifically with social interactions
So, she knows what you need, and that's space.
She'll occasionally (often) text you to ask how you're doing
And she'll also describe to Rui or Emu how worried she feels and ask if it's right to check on you face to face when she knows you need space
Once they tell her to go, she does, and she brings her game, positions herself to cuddle with you, and starts playing
She knows you need space. She just wants to be there while you're in your space.
Tumblr media
☆~Rui Kamishiro
Like Nene, Rui also understands what you’re going through because he’s been burnt out before too
Unlike Nene though, he thinks that the best way to “solve” being burnt out is to have someone with you to help you through it
So, that’s what he does
He’ll hang out with you and bring you sweets, allowing you to be as clingy as you need to be to feel better
Rui knows that what you’re going through is hard. That’s why he’ll be there for you all the way until you’re back to normal.
