#and when he told izuku that killing is an option too

I know this is like a distant detail in the wake of everything going on, but I hope we get Gran Torino admitting he was wrong. About telling All Might to leave the Shimura thing be, about not investigating it himself when AFO revealed it, about telling Izuku that killing Tomura was also an option
Because imagine Gran Torino seeing Tomura after he's been saved. Imagine him seeing Tomura get the help he needs. Imagine him watching and realizing that in a world where Izuku had listened and killed him instead, it can't be compared to the sight before him - of Nana's only surviving family having a chance to finally be happy and have people show him the worth in his life, just as she would have wanted
Gran Torino watching a child hero determined to save a too-far-gone villain, only to realize afterwards that maybe he was never that far gone at all. It just took hope and effort and an understanding that doing wrong doesn't make you a villain for the rest of your life, that there's the slightest chance things could change if you just reach out. And maybe being "too far gone" isn't an absolute, an excuse to take the easy route and go home, but a challenge instead

love is here - izuku x reader, all might x inko
cw: fluff, smut, domestic, valentine's day content. bkg with mentioned female partner. pregnancy mention. minors dni. summary: you and Izuku decide to celebrate another couple's love this Valentine's Day. a/n: a repost from last year's valentines' day fic because i still think it's cute. features 1 terrible joke.
“Red or white?”
While checking the chicken cutlets still browning in the oven, you reflexively call out in reply,
“Red. Has to be red.”
“Of course.”
Closing the oven door, you glance over at Izuku who is hunched over in the glass cabinet in the portion of the living room you can see from your vantage point, and hear the clinking of glass bottles as your husband rummages through your admittedly small stores of alcohol. He pulls out a classic Pinot, and you recognize it as the pretty expensive one Bakugou and his wife (well mostly his wife, really) offered you months ago when you’d first moved into this new home.
“This one?” He asks.
You tilt your head slightly, pondering. “Does your mom even like red wine at all?”
“I’m actually not sure,” he thinks, frowning as he attempts to recall any time he might have caught her drinking.
You purse your lips. “I think we have a Riesling in there. It’s sweet, she might like it,” you ask, before turning back to the kitchen to set up the rest of the dinner items.
Taking a glance at your phone, you check to see if Toshinori has replied to your text message requesting his ETA. The last answer you have from him is a sticker of his own face giving you a thumbs up and it makes you stifle a laugh. It kills you every time he does it, truly Dad behavior.
As Izuku rounds the corner of the kitchen island to place the bottles within a decorative ice bucket on the dining table, he presses a kiss to your forehead. You smile, but then you remember his earlier deceit and shake your head.
“I cannot believe you told Inko I was pregnant!”
He rearranges the bottles as well as a large bouquet of red, pink and white roses with a devious grin on his face, then raises an eyebrow at you.
“Is it really that bad?” He asks, a glint of mischief in his eyes. “It’s just a little white lie.”
“Villain,” you mutter under your breath just as your timer goes off. He laughs out loud.
The next few moments involve you laying down two fine placemats across from each other, your nicest china, far too much cutlery (based on a guide both of you read about fine dining), and sparkling crystal glasses. Herbed chicken parmesan, steaming buttery lobster, roasted brussels sprouts, garlicky mashed potatoes, and angel hair pasta lightly tossed with olive oil and stewed grape tomatoes are set on the table along a light salad. You remembered something about All Might liking Western food and wondered if this was what he was thinking of.
Then you suddenly remembered something else.
“Oh noooo, he doesn’t drink!” you exclaim. Before you can scramble for non-alcoholic options, Izuku has placed a particularly decorative container of sparkling water on the table.
“Just ahead of you,” he says. Always ready to save the day.
Water seems a little lackluster for a romantic dinner, you consider grumbling, but the table looks so beautiful by now that you decide not to let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
“Everything looks amazing!” You announce, clasping your hands together. Izuku agrees and starts the music while you lower the lights, a very light jazzy mix, and as though right on cue, you hear a knock on the door while Izuku begins to light the red and pink candles one by one.
It’s Inko.
She’s dressed far nicer than you usually see her, green locks fully down for once, and you can tell that she’s taken her time to actually perform the skincare routine you’d recommended for her. In fact, you consider that her skin looks a lot healthier than yours and it brings you joy. There’s even a tiny bit of blush she’s applied to her cheeks and a touch of lipstick. The greatest thing she wears however, aside from her coral pink sheath dress, is a wide smile.
“___, congratulations!”
Your mother-in-law envelops you into a hug and for a moment her genuine unbridled joy makes you feel bad that Deku had come up with such a bad lie. You mentally remind yourself to scold him later a second time as you hug her back.
“I- uh… Yeah!” There’s an awkward laugh you let out as she pulls back and holds you by your arms, small tears of joy forming in her eyes. Your stomach turns.
“He told me there would be pictures so I dressed up and-” she starts, but by this time Izuku senses your discomfort and swoops in between you to give his mother a warm hug, then leads her to her seat.
Inko is asking so many questions - How many weeks? Have we thought of names? Are you doing okay? Are you nervous? - that she doesn’t realize her son has sat her down and unraveled a napkin to place on her lap. Nor has she noticed that there are only two placemats laid out, or that you have just gotten a text from Toshinori that says he’ll be there in five minutes.
Smiling as Izuku stands besides her and deflects all her questions, you wonder if all of this is ethical. You may be teasing Izuku for his lie, but you’ve also told All Might that you were surprising Izuku for his birthday and throwing a party.
“That’s five months early?!” He’d asked on the phone.
To which, you sang, “That’s why it’s the perfect surprise!”
You’d given him too short of a notice to ask too many questions, and it worked out perfectly well because you could hear a second knock on your door.
As Inko’s eyes flitted to the door, her frown made it clear that she was realizing something was fishy.
“Am I missing something here?” she started, but before she could press further, All Might all but burst through the door, in powered up form and in a finely pressed shirt and tie, with his signature catchphrase -
“I AM HE-”
He stops abruptly, blinking back and forth as he searches the room significantly lacking in people, slightly dark with mood lighting, and his eyes finally settle on Inko.
And he realizes just before she does.
Inko gets to her feet quickly, immediately apologizing at the squeak of the legs of the chair scraping against the floor as she scoots back, but points at All Might.
“You are-”
“Here,” they say in unison.
All Might nearly chokes as he powers down in a poof and slightly entertained but holding in your amusement, you pat his back, leading him to the seat across from Inko, who is being settled right back into her chair by Izuku massaging her shoulders.
“You tricked me,” Toshinori mutters helplessly under his breath, and you nod sweetly.
“Of course I did, All Might,” you say, patting his shoulder. He gives you a sharp glare behind him, meant to intimidate but failing miserably, then turns back to stare down at his plate.
It doesn’t take a genius to realize what’s going on here. You can see the redness on Toshinori’s sallow cheeks and it actually stirs your heart a little.
Izuku turns down the music from the speaker set on the bar for just a moment before clasping his hands together.
“Yes, so we lied!” He announces. “But!”
He pauses and points to the spread before them. “____ did a lovely job today with all the cooking, and we wanted to spend this Valentines’ Day focused less on us…”
With this, he takes hold of your hand and squeezes it and you can’t stop the warmth that builds in your own face.
“… and on the two of you.”
Inko gives Izuku a look that is something like a pout but she stays seated. All Might on the other hand shifts almost uncomfortably in his chair for a moment, and for a split second you wonder, standing close to Izuku and whispering, did we go too far? in his ear, if All Might will end up leaving and making the whole ordeal genuinely uncomfortable.
But then, he clears his throat.
“M-Midoriya-san, you look lovely,” he says definitively and almost in unison, you and Izuku’s hearts skip a beat. You’re probably boring a hole in Inko’s forehead at this point as you wait for her reply, and just to make sure you don’t continue to stand there creepily you nudge Izuku to start pouring drinks.
“Thank you,” she says after a pause. Her voice is gentle. “You look quite handsome yourself.”
You almost knock over her glass of red wine in surprise and Izuku’s eyes widen in your direction, but he himself is dangerously close to overflowing Toshinori’s glass.
You make a face and he catches himself. You both agree that it’s time to leave.
After describing the menu lightly, the two of you let them know that you’ll be returning in a couple hours and have reservations of your own. Inko mutters something teasing about being cheap to one’s parents but heavily compliments the food regardless. You notice her generously spooning pasta onto Toshinori’s plate and his distracted look as he focuses on her face.
This ship will sail, you think.
“The car’s waiting for us,” Izuku points out, grinning, as you run over with a last glance at Izuku’s parental figures. He helps you put on your coat, and you hug him tightly as the door closes behind you.
By the time the two of you return, it’s fairly late. You’d been polite enough to send a message to Inko and ask her if she needed more time, and she had asked for 45 more minutes, to which Izuku responded with sheer delight.
“She’s been lonely for a while to be honest,” Izuku mentions as you make it up the elevator. “I wish I had realized it earlier.”
It must have been different for Izuku who had met Toshinori young, when the wistful look had not been present in Inko’s eyes, but you’d sensed it the first time you saw Inko and All Might interact. A little something, that was subtle and polite and respected boundaries, but ever-present and shared. Was it their shared hope for Izuku’s growth? Was it something more than that? You would never truly know what it was that engendered that affection but it didn’t really matter.
What did matter was that when you finally returned, All Might’s hand held Inko’s gently across the table. He did retreat rapidly once he saw the two of you and you only pretend to bounce your eyes for privacy.
“Did you enjoy the food?” Izuku asks cheerfully, as he clears the dishes and the leftovers for them. The Riesling is nearly gone, you notice, and you wonder if All Might had ended up helping finish off the bottle.
“Absolutely!” They say in unison, then look at each other again, and you can see that gentle fire between them that rivals the still burning candles surrounding them.
“Good,” you reply. Very good.
You sit down at the table with them and share in gentle commentary and a little bit of banter before the two are ready to make their exit and relish in the genuine smile on Inko’s face.
She’s cute when she crushes, you think. It’s another side of the lovely woman who made the one you love, and you can’t wait to tease her about it later, if only to get back at her for the fact that before the “real” adults leave, they admonish you for lying.
“Pregnancy?! How could you lie about something so serious, Young Midoriya?!”
All Might is genuinely in shock as he stands in the doorway and for once Izuku actually is a bit embarrassed because his mentor’s face is so intensely disappointed that there’s not much he can say in response. He scratches at the back of his neck.
“See, the kids were polite enough to give you a lie that was far less grave… however, how could you seriously believe in a 5 month early surprise party?” Inko asks, slapping All Might with her handbag. He makes an exaggerated pained sound, as though she knocked the wind out of him and she laughs, linking arms with him before they leave.
“Thank you again for dinner,” they say and the two of you beam.
“Our pleasure,” you say in unison then laugh.
It takes the changing of clothes into bare skin and soft lingerie, gentle necking between satin sheets and far too many rose petals to completely distract the two of you from the events of earlier today. You are comfortably nestled in Izuku’s arms, legs tangled with his and face pressed into his bare chest until he stirs suddenly.
“Oh my God.”
Izuku shoots up straight like a board and you can practically feel the sudden sharp panic run through his entire body. He’s muttering something unintelligible under his breath and you give him a look of confusion until he finally speaks.
“What if he Plus Ultras my mom?”
“… What?” You repeat, incredulously.
He clutches his head dramatically.
“H-he’s going to have sex…with my…” his mouth falters.
You gasp when you finally realize what he means, then pause for a moment before bursting into genuine rip-roaring laughter. Izuku stares at you in continued distress as you end up in tears, covering your face with a pillow, peeking up at him, then laughing even harder at the pallor in his features.
“You have to be kidding me?! This just occurred to you now???” You crumble into another fit, kicking your legs this time into the  mattress while Izuku is frozen as still as a statue.
He might as well be shell-shocked.
A few moments pass as you try to recollect yourself, and maybe acceptance has finally set in because he mutters under his breath something about this whole ordeal possibly being a mistake, but nevertheless pulls you to face him, cupping your face in his large hands.
“Just don’t think too hard about it,” you whisper, pushing your hand through his locks, gently rubbing the back of his head.
He sighs into your touch.
“If I do, I’ll probably lose my boner,” he says, pursing his lips to the side. You laugh again and he eventually melts into a smile, and kisses you on the nose.
As he pulls back, his demeanor changes into something more smug, a tease. It’s the type of look he has when he’s about to be lewd and it’s a sudden shift but you welcome it.
“What?”
His eyes lower to your lips again, and he bites your lower one, then pulls back slowly.
“You know how I got in trouble for saying you were pregnant?”
“For lying,” you corrected him, with a raised eyebrow. He dips down and bites your upper lip, slower and more sensual this time. The sting of the bite has you wanting for a little more than just kisses, and he’s well aware of it.
He trails a finger up the curve of your thigh then rests his hand on your hip. Rubbing gently, he whispers, tone low and rich.
“What if we made it true tonight?”
Your throat dries and you swallow hard. He takes it as a yes and hooks a finger around the crotch of your panties, then another finger rubs up and down your slit. He stops right at the entrance to your pussy and presses inward. You wince.
A thumb finds your clit and his lips find yours again. There’s a deeper kiss this time, and he pulls back once again.
“What do you think?” He asks, and the fact that he is starting to take more strained breaths is not lost on you.
“Are you sure you can guarantee that in one night?” He’s far too confident, and you do like to shake it teasingly, once in a while.
“It’s not like I didn’t do the math,” he says. “You should be right around ovulation based on the last time I did a tampon and ice cream run for you,” he insists.
His fingers are still working and you gasp as he adds another.
“Izuku…,” you moan.
“I just need to cum inside you,” he insists, and with that he shifts so that he’s on top of you, hissing into your ear as your back arches and his hands pump.
“Once, twice… maybe ten times,” he says, with extra emphasis on the word ‘ten’, his fingers freeing themselves from the hold of your walls. You already miss the sensation of him inside you, and you grip his shoulders tightly.
“How’s that sound?” He asks, watching the lowering of your eyelids and the parting of your lips,  your green lights.
You tense as he dips down to take a breast in his mouth, then relax, wrapping your arms around the expanse of his muscled back.
You don’t mind giving birth to a Scorpio.
“Let’s make an honest man out of you,” you murmur into his neck, bracing yourself for his first glide in.

I love how bnha parallels Izuku's first heroic act, his connection with other kids and Tenko's past.
In the first chapter of bnha, while the slime villain is about to kill Bakugo, everyone is waiting for a hero with the right quirk to show up and save him.
Deku's lifelong dream of being a hero has just been rejected by All Might, so he's "trying to be realistic" as everyone told him he should be.
Instead, Deku's body moves on its own once he realizes that a hero could arrive too late and Bakugo could be dead by them. In truth, Deku doesn't know what he's doing or why. His body moves on its own because "Bakugo looked like he needed saving".
That moment convinces All Might that Deku has what it takes to be a hero. Even more, to be an OFA user.
In Tenko's past we saw that no one around him would save him because they were waiting for the heroes to arrive. Similarly to what happened with Bakugo, except no Deku showed up to help little Tenko. He was roaming aimlessly, hands covered in blood and completely in shock. Yet, the people who passed by were too scared to act.
The chapter makes it very clear that if someone had reached for him, maybe things could have been different.
AFO "found him" in the end, planting in his heart the seeds of resentment against society and heroes for not saving or helping him at all.
When Deku comes across Eri, she's crying, arms full of bandages and she begs Deku to not let go. Although he had the disadvantage of being only Mirio and him against a seemingly dangerous man, Deku insisted on questioning Overhaul. He kept on using his mind to focus on the evidence he had that Overhaul was abusing Eri.
Deku's thoughts say it all. He cannot back down in the face of a frightened child crying. Aren't they heroes? Even if it's scary or too much to handle, it is their duty to react.
Like All Might first told him, his smile was to hide how scared he was, how nervous. It was his life on the line each time! That's what being a pro-hero means, being willing to put your life on the line to save others.
We saw a bit of that before, during the Summer training arc. Kota couldn't believe Deku would go so far to protect him. In fact, the reason for it was quite simple.
Deku is a hero.
Like Deku said:
" It's not a matter of what you can or can't do. For a hero, risking our lives and walking the walk is our job! "
The moment he saw Kota crying, Deku swore he would do anything to save him, no matter what.
So really, it's been building since day one. The only option for Tomura and Deku's fight resolution was for Deku to give his absolute best to help the person in front of him.
Kinda funny, how the name of my blog comes from such belief: that Tomura is both a victim and a villain, that a person can be both an answer to both parts of themselves in equal measure. One thing doesn't cancel the other out.

No one talked or wants to talk about it is how Tenko had more good stuff than Izu. I'm talking about his two faceless friends when Tenchan was a cute baby. No they aren't important and granted Hori can't bakugoufied them any minute
My point is so far
Compared to Izuku's childhood...Tenko was better. He had a lovely corgi, his big sis loved him and he had friends.
"but Kotaro" yes Hori is a coward to go to the laziest option but even so...Tenko the soon to be Le villain had a better childhood than the mc (not forgetting his pain here but it's not as if he was abused 24/7. Hori went to a coward route but we only see one bad day on Kotaro. To be clear not excuse the abuse just saying Tenko had people on his side even if it wasn't perfect)
Now compared to Izuku's past and ....wow.
Izu doesn't have good friends
Never had a fluffy corgi (bk would have killed I know he would)
His mom is just existing.
And he is stuck with his abuser (in the begin Izu didn't had a good view on bk which hori couldn't let stand)
It's just...Izu had a sad backstory but no one gives a shit. Is it sadder than shig? The point it's not this... The point is how the mc has a bad childhood and his villain had a decent one (again I KNOW IT WASNT PERFECT)
Hi @mikeellee 👋,
You do have a good point here, while Tenko had an abusive father in Kotaro (which Hori went super lazy with making him abusive and failed to expand on his abuse), in his childhood he's shown to have more good things in his life than Izuku has had.
Tenko had in his backstory prior to the accident:
A good pet in Mon-chan
A big sister who loved him (although I am mixed on Hana, her lying to save herself from Kotaro as another part of her main appearance doesn't do her any favours. Although that sits more on Kotaro making his daughter that afraid of him.)
A mum and Grandparents who loved him** (although they too are not without fault, they should have acted sooner to stand up to Kotaro but no one can deny they loved Tenko.)
And his two faceless nameless friends who seemed nice from what little we are told.
Whereas Izu in his backstory;
Has never had any pet to our knowledge.
Has no cool big brother or sister.
His Dad is MIA ( apparently abroad working but he's never shown to call Izuku or come home.)
He has no sweet loving grandparents from his mum or dads side.
His Mum* doesn't stand up for him and cries on him about his being born quirkless.
Izuku is never shown to have any friend prior to U.A.
Izuku is chronically bullied (abused) from the ages of 4 - 14 by Bakugou and his cronies. (I'd argue this is actually still ongoing in UA the tone in the narrative has just shifted to be more in Bkg's favour now than Izu's.) And Izuku is still STUCK with Bakugou as a member of the 'wonder duo'... (that whole concept can fuck right off.)
So Shig, other than Kotaro being an abusive POS, actually had more nice things in his backstory than Izu did whereas Izu's backstory (prior to meeting All Might) is just PAIN.
*- it could be argued that Inko is a good thing in Izuku's backstory and while I'm not denying she loves him I'm saying that in their relationship is not all that great... He has to comfort her a lot of the time she's on screen and Hori never shows Inko confronting Aldera or the Bakugou's about her son's bullying. So she's failing as a parent there.
** - While Nao and her parents are actually shown standing up to Kotaro which is leaps and bounds ahead of anything Inko is shown to do for Izu (sorry it's true.)

Well after the analysis or attempted analysis of Tomura, it's time to talk about Izuku. As I said with Tomura, many men who read shonen should be prohibited from making interpretations about certain character traits or even commenting the manga. Seriously, since the leaks came out and began to be commented on, a large number of men have commented on the recent events about Izuku and his arms as a kind of punishment for wanting to do a talk no jutsu (Guys, please let Naruto rest, I love Naruto but even I know when to blurt out certain things and this complaint in different fandoms is already pathetic).
Before doing any analysis of Izuku, I want to make certain points clear. 1) Izuku and his fight aren’t over yet, there is still fight in that boy and we are talking about Izuku who fought to rescue bk without his two arms too, so yes I don't think this will take him out of the fight; 2) I can't guess what will happen to Izuku's arms, the truth is that there are two possible ways for his arms to be returned by a quirk I doubt it's Eri, she doesn't have enough energy, either Chisaki, since as far as we know he can’t use his quirk without arms, perhaps Tomura when he returns can do so considering the original nature of decay, but considering that the quirk implanted in him was modified in a laboratory, I don't know if it can evolve like that. Another option is for Horikoshi to go for what we already know prosthetics after the war, so far no character with lost limbs has recovered them; 3) Tomura isn’t dead, he is there and he is going to emerge to kick AFO's ass along with Izuku; 4) Sorry to all Aizawa fans but the truth is I'm not very interested in his plot with Shirakumo, honestly the most interesting thing about seeing Kurogiri again would be to see if Shirakumo had recovered his true identity and know if there is any part of him that he cares about Tomura beyond Kurogiri's programming.
Having said that, let's start with Izuku. One of the things that led me to write this analysis of him was the number of times I saw that the loss of his arms is a kind of punishment for not wanting to kill Tomura (seriously, men get out of your edgy phase and stop of thinking that characters with compassion are inferior who don’t accept reality) and on the other hand that this was a chronicle announced by Midoriya's recklessness, on this point I don’t disagree with the idea that Izuku losing a limb hasn’t been mentioned more than once in the manga also he was obviously going to get physical injuries outside of the OFA with gearshift , but I disagree with comparing this moment to Midoriya being reckless.
I’m not going to deny that Midoriya tends to be reckless, many of his fights and his trip with the OFA were him pushing his body to the limit, but this wasn’t out of pure recklessness, no one who reads the manga and understands Midoriya's character can’t ignore the way he’s always trying to be enough, above all Izuku fears failing the people who gave him a chance. His first meeting with All Might when his hero tells him to see reality and leaves while walking home Izuku tells himself that he shouldn’t cry, that he knew it was a fantasy. I say this because one of the main points that many forget when they criticize Midoriya is that he never prepared his body, but the truth is that he was always realistic for what society told him he should expect, his notebooks and his desire to be a hero were a desperate attempt to deny that reality that everyone wanted to mark him, but when All Might his hero tells him to abandon, there is no reason to deny it anymore and it’s in this first chapter where Midoriya considers accepting his reality twice, the first once with All Might and the second time with bk before AM offered him OFA.
With All Might everything changes, for the first time someone gives him the opportunity that he dreamed so much however, we see for the first time the carelessness he has for himself, in his training he overexerts and reaches a fatigue that makes him makes him faint, AM notices the overdemand and scolds him but Izuku knows that he´s at a disadvantage against others, it’s unhealthy but he understands that everyone there has been born with quirks and has been training for longer than him, so he really wants to take this change, he’ll have to put in the effort. Here AM should have insisted that Izuku focus on his health, but again AM also doesn’t know how to set a limit to his own demands, and therefore he is not the one to set a limit, if he adjusts his routine but doesn’t prevent the overdemanding of Midoriya continued his development.
Throughout the manga, Izuku has taken his body to unexpected limits, his first fight with Muscular, Eri's arc where to stop the advance of the rewind he took the OFA to its maximum so he destroyed himself at the same speed Eri healed, the entire first war arc where his fight with Tomura is literally fierce, and his solo arc where he is pushed to the limit of standing. I say all this because Izuku's recklessness comes from his own conception of heroism that leaves aside his own well-being, but above all because Izuku separates his own self between Deku who can do it and the useless Deku who can't save anyone, He sees himself this way because he hates his old self, the quirkless, defenseless part, the one that AM saw at first and told him that he couldn't be a hero, even today no one has told Midoriya in his face that he can be a hero without a quirk, which is more than enough, no one told him that, class 1A told him that they were friends, Ochako said that he was special for himself not because of his quirk and when Aoyama introduced himself as a traitor and Kirishima said something like "what does it matter that he doesn't have a quirk", none of these are words of encouragement for someone who lived much of his childhood being bullied and attacked.
All this brings us to chapter 419, some say is the result of recklessness or in the case of many others a punishment that Midoriya deserves for wanting to save a villain, seeing compassion as weakness and harm as punishment is so stupid about all because there is something much more interesting and devastating. Izuku during all this time is sacrificing every piece of himself to reach Tomura, he sacrificed OFA and now his own arms because he really wanted to reach him, he’s fulfilling his own words he wants to know, he needs to understand so that their confrontation isn’t just senseless violence and the saddest thing is that trying to reach Tomura and finally take his hand, refusing to let him go even if it could disintegrate him, is the act that allowed AFO to take control again.
All this time Izuku is doubtful, he doesn't have a certain plan because the situation is difficult but he also can't ignore that crying child, that's why when Tomura screams that he’s beyond salvation or no longer human, Izuku continues to insist the opposite and the moment where he finally catches up to him is the moment where he loses, because Izuku's actions weakened Tomura and allowed AFO to take control, but one thing should be clear Izuku wasn’t reckless when he took Tenko's hands, he knew the consequences and he still wanted to reach him, he wouldn’t regret it because if there is something that characterizes Izuku as a character, it’s the great capacity he has to feel compassion and his kindness.

hi! if you're still taking asks about your aus: for the villains quarter au, do you have an izuku and katsuki reunion in mind? if so, how would it go? and how did katsuki feel after izuku disappeared?
I do not stop taking asks ab my AUs, do not worry. Its the main feature of this blog and also brings me great joy! Sometimes I drop off the face of the earth for like a week but this is just who i am as a person.
I have a few ideas for the way a reunion could go! Ill expand on my favourite, but the options are:
Izuku becomes Aizawa's ward and joins UA's gen ed class where he runs into Bakugo (closer to a canon rewrite, izuku doesn't become a hero).
Izuku becomes Kurogiri's official ward, they open a restaurant within the actual city which is shockingly not a money laundering scheme that is frequented by UA students - Bakugo gets dragged there and runs into Izuku (if this au was a slice of life manga).
And, my favourite: things go roughly like canon, though Aizawa is even more overworked bc he's taking more night shifts and he recognises Shigaraki and Kurogiri at the USJ where he feels betrayed on both his and Izuku's behalf. Like, you have a kid at home!! Don't be a villain jesus christ! They go on ab how they are making the world better - for him and for everyone. No one gets too badly injured here bc they aren't going for the kill because Eraserhead is cool and only terrible people kill children (and also if they were terrible people Izuku would be sad and might not serve them food which would be worse than death.)
Oh as an aside, poor Aoyama. All for One didn't actually threaten his parents, it was more like a "I'll pay you, I know your son wants to be a hero so he'll be applying for UA" but they both interpreted that as a threat and also want money, so Aoyama is under the impression his family will be slaughtered if he doesn't act as the traitor. Poor boy.
Anyway! Shigaraki still has Bakugo (and Todoroki, in this AU) kidnapped and brought to the bar. Todoroki was a request of Dabi's bc their old man sucked ass and he wanted to give his little bro the option to just get the hell out of there. Bakugo was both an attempt to recruit someone from Shigaraki, but also he found out he was from the same middle school as Izuku - a middle school full of bullies and abusive teachers. He's honestly kinda concerned for Bakugo's mental health actually.
And then he sees Izuku bringing out dinner for the villains and the poor kids they picked up.
"Deku?"
Bakugo's voice was - uneven. Tomura had snatched him out of UA's hands and the only emotion he'd gotten from the boy was rage, but this? It was unsettling. As was the crash that followed it. He turned around, coming face to face with Izuku, paler than he'd ever seen, broken bowls and spilt food at his feet. Tomura scrambled to his feet to help, just behind Kurogiri who had pulled a handkerchief from his pocket, probably to wipe what had to be blisteringly hot broth from his clothes.
"Kacchan?"
Their Izuku was a cry baby - they'd discovered after that heart wrenching week of empty desolation he'd shown when Tomura had first found him. He cried when he was happy, when he was sad, sometimes even when he was excited. Tomura had expected the happy tears of seeing an old friend, or the angry tears that popped up when Tomura did something he though was stupid, but -
Izuku's eyes were dry.
He took a step back, and then another, slipping onto the ground. Still, he crawled backwards, horrified eyes on the boy they'd taken.
"Deku? Deku! You were fucking dead - we - my mum and dad fucking cried for you you piece of shit, and for what? So you could run off and be a fucking villain? What the fuck is wrong with you! You should have jumped off that fucking roof when I told you to you pathetic -"
A little blue marble clattered to the floor where Bakugo had sat, shutting up the tirade before it could continue. Still. Still.
Izuku was already gone.

F***ing Chair
Tumblr media
Izuku was best friends with his guidance counselor. Inko knew about Izuku’s mental health and Izuku had no problem speaking his mind. Izuku had been hospitalized on a number of occasions because he told Inko. The guidance counselor was aware of Izuku being open with his mom which lowered the stress of betraying Izuku’s trust.
Izuku was incredibly depressed and struggled to cope with the bullying. Being able to wear a facade all day was exhausting as well. It was nice to walk into the counselor’s office and vent. While Izuku was open, he did hide it around his mother. He didn’t want her to worry more than she already was. Seeing the school counselor was the only option considering therapy was far too expensive.
Izuku had Major Depressive Disorder, Social Phobia, Attention Deficit Disorder, and was showing signs of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder more and more with every encounter of bullying he endured. It was clear the physical and mental abuse he received day in and day out didn’t help. There was no escape when he came home. Cyberbullying was just as severe.
During lunch, milk had been pored all over Izuku. Much to everyones shock, Izuku slammed his book shut and stormed out of the cafeteria. Katsuki scowled, irritated by Izuku’s dramatic reaction. The brown haired bully jumped, not expecting the retaliation. The other bully watched him leave, bewhildered before smirking.
“Let’s get him while he’s in the locker room!”
Katsuki didn’t have a problem with it, wanting to put Izuku back in his place. The other bully tagged along, lauging about how he was going to mock Izuku. They chased after him.
When Izuku’s three bullies spotted him down the hall, his shoulders were tensed, a milk trail following him. His book bag was in one hand and his notebook in the other. There was something about the aura he was radiating that made them uneasy. Midoriya stormed right up to the guidance counselor’s office, threw open the door and let it out.
“Do you know how much I want to fucking pick up a fucking chair and smash it across their fucking face?”
Katsuki stopped in his tracks, eyes wide in surprise. That went straight to his dick.
“Shit. Izuku’s told on us?” whispered the long-finger bully.
“That’s what you’re worried about? He sounds like he wants to kill us,” exasperated the brown haired bully.
Katsuki had more concerns than that. In that split second, he came to the realization he knew nothing about Izuku. He didn’t know Izuku cursed. He never would’ve guessed Izuku got angry. Katsuki wondered if Izuku already was telling the adults at school, was he telling Inko? In a matter of seconds, he realized his entire future lies in Izuku’s hands. Something about that made him oddly hot, feeling flustered by the information.
The guidance counselor didn’t even sound surprised by his outburst. “Oh I know you do. Thankfully you didn’t do it.”
Izuku took a sharp breath before slamming the door behind him. The building shook from the force of the slam, causing the three to share a stunned look. They all crept to the door to listen, needing to know more.
“I’m leaving my stuff here. I’m going to the showers and I’ll be back. I’m skipping next period,” informed Izuku. His tone was sharp, unsteady, and clearly still holding a lot of rage.
The counselor shook her head, fixing her notebook’s position on the desk. “Very well. I’ll try and dry off your things while you clean up.”
“Thank you.”
“No problem kid.”
The bullies booked it to a janitors closet down the hall to avoid getting caught. Izuku came out a couple seconds later, fingers flying on the keypads on his phone. When he disappeared down the hall, the group chose to part their separate ways and head to class.
Katsuki sat at his desk with a scowl. He was frustrated by his feelings. As much as he wanted to hate Midoriya and unleash his rage to make up for extreme weakness he was feeling, he truly didn’t want to. There was some deep fondness resonating within him. He was terrified and that excited him.
Izuku reappeared a period later with a drained expression. His hair was dry, his clothes were completely changed, and his bag and notebook looked perfectly fine. While the trio were mad their stunt didn’t leave any long lasting damage, they were glad their actions didn’t cause him to be so pissed off that he’d kill them.
None of the idiots wanted to be hit in the fucking face by a fucking chair.

Pretty please backstory on the demon Todoroki family in "If You Meet Your Father, Kill Your Father."
Here comes the essay Part 2! I'm deliberately doing this one after the ask about backstory for Hisashi and Yoichi, because there's some overlapping worldbuilding.
Enji's father was the Demon Lord of Envy and an absolute monster. Lord Envy was one of the old demons who treated their children as tools to be used and discarded. The old demons had no need for heirs, being immortal. Thus, they murdered their children when they got too strong. Enji's siblings all died, and he fled to the human realms. He vowed revenge on his father.
Rei was a human princess and her dad arranged her marriage to Endeavor in exchange for protection for his kingdom. This put envy demon Endeavor fighting on the side of humans, and everyone feels weird about it.
Enji was desperate for strong kids to aid this goal. He married a human (Rei), because he had better odds at more children due to humans having a higher rate of fertility. Plus, he was surrounded by humans so he didn't have that many other options.
Remember how last essay I mentioned that the old demons would encourage their children to sin in their area of magic? Enji deliberately tried to make Dabi/Touya more envious as a child. Enji recognized early on that Touya was an envy protegee, but he pretended that nothing Touya did was ever good enough and he told Touya that each new child was born to replace him. This was a common tactic that old Envy Demons used with their children.
When Shouto was born, Enji made a big fuss about Shouto being the greatest envy demon ever even though (unlike in canon) there was no way to tell how talented Shouto would turn out when he was only a baby. Enji flaunted in Touya's face that his little brother would become the strongest. Then Enji caught Touya trying to strangle Shouto in the cradle. Enji had a "My God, what have I done?" moment. Enji remembered that although he wanted to create strong children to overthrow his father, he never wanted to become abusive like his father. So Enji tried to walk it back and teach Touya to love his siblings instead.
But it was too late. Touya was proud that he exhibited his strongest ever mark of envy while trying to kill Shouto. Touya couldn't understand why his father got angry instead of praising him, then tried to contradict every single lesson he ever taught. In the end, Touya decided that his father must have hated him and set him up for failure, changing the criteria for success every time Touya succeeded. Touya ran away from home straight into All for One's arms.
Side story: remember how in "The Sin of Greed" the original demon Yoichi cast a spell to change the nature of his magic to Generosity? This gave him the magical power he'd lacked his whole life, because he finally had a type of magic that suited his personality. This research would have been revolutionary. All demons would have been able to develop strong magic, so power would have become more widely dispersed. The people currently at the top of society didn't like that one bit. That's why Demon Yoichi got assassinated by a distant cousin. Before that, Hisashi's protection had kept other demons from killing Yoichi. But Yoichi's latest research into changing magic, combined with his research to remove demons need to eat souls, would have shaken up society too much to suit the people currently in power. They arranged for his death and destroyed all his research.
By the way, a little bit of Yoichi's research still survives. Yoichi scribbled some notes in the margins of an old notebook that belonged to Second. If Izuku can find it, then he could use the notes to recreate the research.

Just one small thing- "inaction". Shoto told Endeavor willingness doesn't mean enough without action. And he fails that too. I think everything changed since when Horikoshi had him contradict himself by saying the rain slows him down or maybe it was set in stone ever since the resolution of the war and the hospital. Because they took the first step for him so Endeavor has been lagging from the start. Rei is the true hero who moves own while Endeavor is pathetic and the root of all issues alone.
Yeah, I know that's what the text said, but why is that?
If the entire point of this side plot was to continue to have Enji fail and be shown up by his family why bother to spend so much time on Enji at all? Yet, if he's supposed to change by the end and step up, why have him never get the opportunity to actually do anything?
Enji is not a real person--he is a character being written by a person. He is not inactive because he chooses to be, no, Hori wrote it this way for a reason, and so far the only one I can find is because he thought having Enji do anything past inner monologues would strip Shoto and the family's moment in helping Touya, or take away from his final change of heart. Yet in doing so he has only made Enji's character worse, and caused some readers to think he hasn't changed at all.
And, again, it's said he's inactive in situations where that literally doesn't make sense. When he was with Izuku and the other Heroes they were specifically looking for the LoV and any leads to find them or AfO. If they had leads on Touya, even if Enji didn't want to go after him, the other Heroes and Izuku would have persuaded him regardless. On top of that Shoto says he had to learn Phosphor in the short time between the first War and second, so even if Enji had searched for Touya with him, they wouldn't have had a counter for him.
Hori only presented him as avoiding Shoto so the kids didn't have a way to find Izuku and could confront the adults in a dramatic moment.
Also Enji only looks bad in contrast with the rest of the todofam because he's the only one acting like a person. None of the others have any issues or conflicted feelings about Touya after the reveal. Enji is the only one that actually has human emotions about such a life changing event. Shoto in particular has been reduced to a shadow of his former self and is now just the 'Family Hero' who has zero negative feelings for a brother who he has no good memories of and who has nearly killed his friends and leveled Japan with the LoV.
As for being the true Hero while Enji is pathetic, that's not true and I don't think 388 is saying that from what I've seen. Enji didn't continue to fight AfO once Touya showed up or leave him to the other hundred or so Heroes on site. Like Rei he saw him and engaged him, and did the best he could to lead him away because he didn't want to attack him which would have killed Touya faster.
Enji is also not the root of all issues in the family; if he was Rei wouldn't feel the need to apologize to Touya. Yes, Enji is the most at fault, but Rei made mistakes to. She knew going in what a Quirk marriage was and agreed to marry Enji anyway. Yes, her options were limited but she never showed any discomfort with the idea of having kids for the purpose of legacy--probably because that was the same thing her family had been doing for centuries.
Again, this is a story written by a person, and Hori has the one that decided Enji wasn't allowed to do more, probably because he felt it'd takes away from the final climactic ending of this sub plot.
*ps, I'm almost 100% positive Enji was slow in the rain so Izuku got to fight Lady Nagant alone. Both because it gave Izuku a win, and because she would have been incredibly ineffectual against multiple opponents being a sniper. Not because it's trying to show him not trying. There was no reason for him to avoid that fight since Touya wasn't there.

Izuku and Yoichi
Tumblr media
send in two names and make my muse choose which one they would kill. | Accepting | @brighteyedcrybaby & @rain-coat-killer
Tumblr media
"That would NEVER happen," there was a hiss in his voice at the audacity. The gull of these two chose two people he adored and promised to never harm. Teeth clenched into something like a sneer as this game cut too close to home. To a possibility of having to choose between them neither would be something he could live with.
He may be cruel and heartless but they were supposed to be the exception. He had told Yoichi many times he wasn't going to kill him, that he mattered and he has done the same with Izuku. His son was safe with him even when the boy would end up his enemy he refused to kill him. For all his gloating, he may be able to insult his son under the guise a villain but he couldn't-
"...I'll kill Yoichi," he said it pained as he had already done this once. What was one more confirmation of his cruelty and the lies he has spilled? He's sure Yoichi would prefer that but he would have rather he was selfish. That he hoards them both to himself and keep them safe and secure.
But if there was no option, no choice, if one would die from his inaction. Then he will keep the promise that he will prioritize his son above all else to his wife and his son. Because Yoichi in the end is just a ghost of the past that he can't let go of. While his son... Is still here.

Ramblings about BNHA chap 375
Finally we’ve chap 375! And so without further ado let’s talk about it!
The chapter is, for the most part, basically a flashback that explains us what happened with Himiko on Okuto island, so back to her we go.
The heroes decided that, in order to stop Himiko from hiding their presence with her technique they need to be at least 4 as she, supposedly, wouldn’t be able to hide form 4 people… which… somehow work.
Really I got the feeling that in Deika she managed to escape the gaze of more than 4 people but well, they might not have been heroes so… whatever.
I would have just searched for a hero with a sensory type quirk since that worked against her like a charm in the previous war but I guess this would have made things too easy for the heroes and would have ended up cutting Ochako and Tsuyu’s roles.
Ochako orders her to stop, unaware that Himiko thinks heroes are planning to kill her as they did with Jin and therefore that, to her, this is a life or death fight.
Meanwhile Gang Orca realizes the Nomu who ended up on Okuto island doesn’t have a super regeneration quirk so they can take him down and therefore encourages the others to focus on him.
At this point we learn something interesting.
The boxes inform us  of how previously Himiko never took into account any strategy and this is true, Shigaraki generally set his men on a target and then told them to act as they preferred.
Although the league members ‘cooperate’, this is just in the sense they cover each other back or pass each other info (like Himiko telling Compress where the car carrying Overhaul would pass), they don’t really have detailed strategies in which everyone has a bit to do and failure to carry that bit on would cause the crash of the whole operation. A rule of theirs was, after all ‘to do as they pleased’.
But now Himiko is entrusted with giving life to ‘Sad man’s parade’ so that the others can win and therefore can’t act solely as she pleases because her actions will have consequences for the others too.
So we jump inside Himiko’s head as she considers her options.
As the villains around her are slowly being reduced in number she’s starting to end at disadvantage (probably because it increases the number of people who could observe her and therefore make harder for her to hide and easier for her to be captured?).
She could use Jin’s blood to turn the tables in her favor but, since Touya managed to collect only the amount of blood that would last her for 30-40 minutes, it could very well mean that the Sad Man’s parade would end on that island because, even if she were to win, she wouldn’t manage to reach the others in time.
She also wonders if the heroes knew about her having Jin’s blood… but later it’ll turn out that no, they didn’t, Hawks assuming he had destroyed it all so… it was a random bit of good luck for the heroes that their plan of separating the league lead to Himiko being in a bad spot to use Jin’s blood.
Anyway, the white boxes continue their discussion. Previously Himiko never took into account any strategy, but the anger for Jin’s death as well as the painful feelings caused by discovering neither Ochako nor Izuku would accept her for who she is, caused her to change.
So Himiko takes a vial and decides she’ll bet on Spinner to do his part and do what she needs to do, which causes Tsuyu to react and break the vial with her tongue. Only that was a trap as the vial wasn’t AFO’s or Shigaraki’s as Tsuyo feared, actually it wasn’t even blood but a drug that attracted Nomu which Himiko received from AFO.
As a result Tsuyu is attacked, a huge wave covers the scene and when it retreats, two Tsuyu are there, one obviously being Himiko who has given up on any hesitation, aware she will only have little time to make sure Jin’s parade will reach its full potential.
I’m not quite sure why Himiko turned into Tsuyu instead than giving life to the Sad Man’s Parade immediately, while Tsuyu was busy dealing with the Nomu attacking her. Sure, it can be it was to cause Ochako to hesitate, but… I’m not sure.
Tsuyu seems unhurt and Himiko is above her as if she had pushed her away… or did she needed her quirk to handle the wave caused by the Nomu? Hard to say.
Anyway Himiko takes Jin’s blood and turns into him… and I think who she’s cloning isn’t really Jin but herself while she’s transformed in Jin.
Maybe she can’t clone Jin because it would be like resurrecting someone’s death or maybe, as Jin said, cloning yourself works the best and, in Himiko’s case, this is true even if she’s transformed into someone’s else, or she just wanted all the clones to have her same goal and explaining the situation to Jin would have required too much time.
I don’t know, I think for her it would be painful to make a Jin’s clone because it wouldn’t be the original but… at the same time I think the temptation would be quite strong because it would mean to be with him again for one last time.
Whatever, as soon as Himiko starts the clone production Kurogiri reaches her, points out he’s going to save Shigaraki and the others and asks her what she wants to do.
Himiko announces she wants to murder all the heroes, starting with Hawks as he’s the one who killed Jin, and therefore orders Kurogiri to spread her clones around so that they can just do the job.
Ochako tries to stop her, telling her they still haven’t talked about love. I know in the fandom many took this positively, as a sign Ochako finally wanted to talk but honestly to me it felt very much like how Shouto tried to stop Touya from leaving challenging him to kill him. It doesn’t feel like a genuine attempt at wanting to talk with her, just a desperate attempt to stop her. After all, up until now Ochako’s goal wasn’t talking but stopping her… and now that she’s leaving it feels weird she would have changed her goal. On the other side… probably Ochako would have been fine even with talking if this were to stop Himiko.
For a moment Himiko is surprised but then leaves anyway commenting it would be great if they could do it.
And so back to Gunga villa we go.
Hawks figures that the Twices who’re appearing should be due to Himiko and that, since he apparently destroyed all the blood left, who made it possible should have been Touya who picked up what blood he could from the dead Jin.
So, while Touya sets the place to fire, Himiko starts there the sad man’s parade.
Meanwhile Ochako and Tsuyu are following Himiko through the hole, Tsuyu using her tongue to toss Ochako through it (Ochako tried to chase Himiko using her cables but Himiko cut them) and, since she remains attached to Himiko, she tails her as well.
Tsuyu’s worried about the feeling Ochako shut inside herself (which should be her love for Izuku… though it could also be her sympathy for Himiko? But likely it’s her love for Izuku…)
What we see then are the images of the ones who’re at Gunga, Touya, looking completely burned and out of it, Enji now clearly looking up at his son, Ochako who just arrived, All for one who’s having a great time and Hawks who’s holding his sword and likely preparing to murder someone as he said they should do in the previous chapter.
Below them the image of the weather speaker.
We can’t see what’s in her balloons but the image is the same of the scene in which she talked of the flap of the butterfly’s wings in Brazil cause a hurricane in Texas and the fate of their society to descend into chaos.
We end with Ochako yelling she won’t let go of Himiko so easily as she pulls Tsuyu with her so okay, Ochako and Tsuyu are also there facing All for one.
All that’s missing is Shouto but, contrary to popular expectations, I hope he’ll take a bit more to join, possibly with Iida.
That’s because:
a) We already have plenty of characters there, it would become too chaotic with two more
b) Endeavour’s arc of redemption was about to prove to Touya, Shouto and the rest of his family he could be a father and not a hero. So I’d like for him to get some time to do so before Shouto arrives or finally find some way to prove it JUST WHEN SHOUTO GETS THERE. If Shouto immediately joins we’ll be back on having Shouto and Touya fight while Enji deals with All for One. If there really have to be a redemption arc in the story for Enji, I’d like for him to finally, FINALLY, do something to hear it because, as of now, he’ll be all talk and hero work and not a single father’s action. So yeah, I don’t care if he defeats All for one with a single hand and standing on a single foot, if a redemption arc has to take place, he’ll better do something father-like for his sons to see. Otherwise all that babbling about his redemption arc was goddamn pointless and we could have done without it.
c) Shouto saving the day (or Enji) after Enji has shown he deserved saving would be much better than having Shouto do all the work for free and even had to forgive his father when his father wasn’t capable to atone in the slightest. I want the story to just let Shouto be, for once, a child who gets to have his father deal with problems instead of always having to be Enji’s proxy as Enji wanted. Enji made a mess with his son, it’s up to him, not to Shouto fix it.
d) Touya turned himself into a human torch to have the chance to finally spend some ‘quality time’ with his father, whatever that means for him. He’ll probably never find closure, whatever that means for him, if he can’t just confront with his father so I want him to have some time with Enji. He can reconnect with his brother afterward.
Okay, so those were my two cents on all this.
I fear the next chapter will move to Deku and Shigaraki so we’ll probably have to wait for the resolution of the situation in Gunga but we’ll see.

Thelreads, MHA 261, Replies Part 1
1) “Let`s not even waste any time, time to jump in on chapter 261: high-ends.
Oh boy.”- Was that an intentional bunny pun, or…? But yeah, High Ends, Low Odds, Big Stakes, Smol Bun, Let’s see how it all shakes out.
2) “Ooohhh boy. I`m starting to worry that someone here is gonna have a really bad time… If one high end was that troublesome before- yeah, it`s gonna be a baaaad time.”- I’ll give Horikoshi credit for somehow managing to make Miruko’s thighs the focus despite her chest being front and centre to the ‘camera’. Not going for the low-hanging fruit option, and introducing a lot of people to how attractive a powerful female character can be as well.
3) “Right where we left, that`s the despicable door that ended poor widdle johnny, now on it`s way to interrupt the peaceful nap of an innocent nomu. This bunny girl is a menace, we need to stop her.”-  Honestly, Miruko lucked out with that explosive entrance. Even though she couldn’t have known beforehand, she managed to take out Maruta’s exit strategy and halve her available opposition whilst they were still incubating in their tanks. The Kool-Aid man’s teachings save the day once again.
4) “Oh that`s fucked up- Yeah, I don`t doubt that the doctor probably liked Johnny since he was so useful and all that, but it doesn`t change the fact that he experimented on a little kid to make said nomu. Really messed up, the dissonance is setting a nice tone for this chapter, I like it.”- It seems Maruta wasn’t lying before when he told Compress excessive teleportation gives Johnny severe laryngitis, but his apparent care and compassion for his twisted creation is all the more fucked-up because he actually seems to prefer Johnny in this inhuman state, like he thinks the warped perversion of humanity he creates with his experiments is the perfect embodiment of what people should be like, rather than abominations that need to be corrected after science went too far. I honestly don’t dout that if he had his way, or better yet, had access to a quirk like Overhaul’s, he’d be trying to turn as many people as he could into Nomu because his creations are ‘better’ than the raw materials they were moulded from. 5) “Actually now that I think about it, I`m starting to think the doctor is just seeing his life flash before his eyes. Even Dadoriya is back to give him a last goodbye before that door crushes another of his little toys.”- It’s fascinating how the genuine human excitement and happiness present in Maruta and AFO’s interactions just drives how the duo’s almost inhuman natures, how they only see people around them as either tools or raw materials for their ambitions, and sincerely congratulate either other on their successes and encourage their friend to new heights of depravity with sincere goodwill. It’s almost like a twisted mirror of Bakugou and Izuku’s rivalry pushing the other forwards, each in equal partnership to the same base motivation, of achieving their ideals upon the world. 6) “Yeah, but this didn`t killed those nomus, right? It just gonna wake- well, I mean, it did kill johnny, sure, but I meant the other nomus. They are probably not 100% ready, but just like Shigaraki they are gonna have to rise and shine regardless of how much time was left before the alarm clock went off.”- It probably didn’t ‘kill’ them, but disconnected from the electric shock or whatever signal Maruta sent with the remote there likely means they didn’t ‘wake up’ properly, and their bodies and minds aren’t going to be functioning at 100%, if they’re functioning at all. I doubt Maruta would be dumb enough to not have programmed a kill switch or other safeguards against a Nomu running rampant in his highly-secure lab should an accident happen, so they’re likely intentionally designed only to respond to the proper ignition sequence, and nothing else. 7) “…okay maybe those ones also ended up dead after that. probably weren`t good enough to get up and fight, but some of them will probably be able to pick up the slack. No way all the nomus that could fight are outside right now, the doctor definitely has some backups to protect him right now.”- For once the Doctor’s own highly-cautious nature nearly did him in. Because there’s so many restrictions preventing a Nomu running berserk or waking up on accident, if Maruta hadn’t been able to press his remote in time, it wouldn’t have mattered how many backups he had ready to go, none of them would have twitched a finger to aid him even as Miruko dropkicked him from one end of the lab to the other. 8) “And now, back to… whoever this one is. I do remember seeing this hero once before, back at the hero ranking announcement or something, but I absolutely don`t remember his name- or quirk for that fact. I`m going to assume his power is to grin really hard.”-Actually, that’d be this guy’s power.
youtube
9) “Oh, that isn`t surprising, that there would be more ways in and out of the lab, but it`s not like the doctor can reach them right now, there`s a bunny stomping his brains into fine red paste, the most concerning thing here is that some nomus can escape and wreak havoc while the heroes are busy.”- And again tying into the heroes’ moral ambiguity here, Crust is basically forced to take down the Nomu in his way in whatever decisive speedy manner he can, even resorting to lethal force if needs be, because if he pushes past them for the sake of speed they can flee through the other exits and endanger civilians, but if he takes too long trying to non-fatally subdue them to preserve their lives then Miruko might wind up in danger in the lab with a target they absolutely cannot afford to let escape or wake Tomura up. He at least feels bad about the necessity of his actions, but he still goes through with taking the kill shot in the end. 10) “And his quirk seems to be some sort of armor-like skin, interesting. Hand-to-hand combatant then, but someone with more crowd-control would be better suited in this situation.”- Shields are actually a great crowd-control measure, especially if your goal is to overcome large numbers whilst protecting your vulnerable spots as much as possible. It’s why you always see the riot police carrying one when protests are getting out of hand. 11) “And back to the bunny we go, moments before an old man becomes the new stain- which is to say, he`ll become a stain. on the floor. and walls. and probably the ceiling if miruko is feeling especially hungry today.”- And Ironically Miruko isn’t even that personally invested in taking Maruta out, unlike with Mic or Aizawa. That kind of splash damage is just typical Tuesday for her. 12) “Well doc, we just need to be sure, you know? Don`t worry, it`s just a liiiiight kick, just enough to score a homerun with your skull (:  “- First her, then Mic and Aizawa will need to double- no, triple-check he’s not a clone, then I’m pretty sure everybody who sees the kind of stuff he’s been getting up to in his lab of horrors will want to double-check he’s not a clone obscuring the real Maruta’s escape…

*The driver listened and stopped*
Momo:what's wrong zuzu?
Izuku:wait here a minute

Izuku:e..even if our marriage is years away y..you look beautiful and every bride deserves a bouquet of flowers d..d..darling!
Momo:o..oh..oh zuzu~!!!
*Momo jumped on top of him and smothered him in kisses the rest of the drive there*
*Once they made it and delt with Momo's father a man who had a thing for being on time they looked around it was a forest full of Sakura trees they went into position it was supposed to be a simple picture of them side by side but izuku feeling a little daring hugged momo and lifted her up making her giggle and smiled at him izuku smiled back both looking lovingly at the other as the picture was taken*
Momo:oh zuzu we look so perfect together once we get married i promise we'll be together forever!
Izuku:y..yeah...!!
Present older izuku as narrator
Izuku: forever...
*A single tear fell from my cheek remembering does words*
Stain:what you got there?
*Stain said don't know if he saw the picture or not it didn't matter at least not anymore*
Izuku;huh? Oh nothing..
*I got up off bed and broke the picture to pieces and threw it at the trash*
Izuku:nothing at all..

Chapter 35/?
Midoriya Izuku stopped believing in heroes when a tragedy occurred in his life. When at the tender age of 11, he lost everything that was everything dear to him, everything that was worth living for. Yet he doesn’t give up. He can’t give up. He decides to make a choice instead. No longer will he stand around and wait for the heroes to arrive while a crime goes down. He’ll be his own hero and a hero to those who are just like him. Those waiting for help that will never arrive. In order to do that, though, he’ll have to fight to survive and lie through his teeth. It won’t be so bad!
After all, it’s not like they can bring him in for vigilantism and Illegal Quirk Usage when he doesn’t even have a quirk, right?

Izuku leaps from the rooftop of the nearby apartment complex to their home to the nearest roof closest to it. He huffs out a frustrated sigh as the neighborhood around him remains silent. He’s actually really surprised that he’s still out here. By himself, he means. He probably shouldn’t have snuck out of the house without telling Shouta since the older man specifically stated that he could go out as long as Shouta was told and could come with him. To be fair, he did go into his and Hizashi’s room to wake him up but the man was sleeping solidly enough that the door to their bedroom didn’t wake him. It’s a very rare occasion that he falls that deep into sleep! Izuku would’ve felt more guilty about waking him up than sneaking out by himself!
He can’t get the end of his meeting with Nighteye agency out of his head.
He was asked to wait outside while Sir Nighteye and Fat Gum - Taishiro-san, he reminds himself - talked. He noticed from when they first stepped into the office that Nighteye had a very specific kind of door at his office. It makes a clicking sound when it closes but if you angle it and pull it just right, it’ll still make a sound even when the door isn’t closed. He only knows about them because he’s dealt with them before when sneaking around while homeless. He could easily trick people into thinking the door had shut when in reality it hadn’t. It was a great diversion tool and, in this case, a great way to eavesdrop.
“So what do you think? Amazing, right?” Taishiro had asked.
Nighteye sighed, long and low, “How do I put this?”
“C’mon! Hit me with it! Tell me how great it is so I can relay it to him!”
“Toyomitsu… This ability of Midoriya-kun’s… It makes him dangerous. A threat,” Nighteye said plainly as Izuku’s blood turned to ice in his veins. It’s quiet for a long moment then an explosion of voices erupted.
“Sir!” Both Centipeder and Bubble Girl screamed as Taishiro bellowed out, “ Excuse me!?”
“You heard me. It’s dangerous. That boy is far too dangerous with his ability to pick apart a quirk in a matter of seconds. He could very easily become a villain and kill even some of the highest ranking heroes with it.”
He might not trust them but he wouldn’t kill heroes. He wouldn’t ever! Would never even think about it! He wouldn’t even kill villains unless there was absolutely no choice! No one should take a life without it  being the very last option for the safety of everyone!
“Well it’s a good thing he’s not going to be a villain then, isn’t it?” Taishiro insisted. He doesn’t know if he’ll be a hero either but he definitely won’t be a villain. Kacchan would kill him!
“You think he could be a hero?” Nighteye scoffs, loudly, “Without a quirk? He would just be a liability that way.”
White hot anger spilled through him before tears of shame and embarrassment welled up in his eyes. A slam rang out behind the door, “Of course I do! You are! Who cares that he doesn’t have a quirk?! He’ll be a fantastic hero!”
It’s nice that Taishiro stuck up so strongly for him. He really is one of the good heroes. Nighteye doesn’t quit though, “Toyomitsu-san, listen to me. Stop giving that boy false hope. Tell him he can’t be a hero and let it go. Don’t bring him to another hero agency like this again. I can’t say it’ll be good for his self-esteem or well being if you do.”
Taishiro’s voice was harsh as he replied, “No! Absolutely not! You don’t get to decide what I will and won’t do! That kid has probably been told his whole life that he couldn’t be a hero and has had a harder life because of it than you probably could understand! At least people turned their thinking around about you but that was only because of All Might, wasn’t it?”
“Don’t you bring him up!” Nighteye growled.
“Why? Too afraid to admit to yourself that most of your success comes from being the number one’s former sidekick?” Taishiro goaded, “Too afraid to admit that you spent three fourths of your day just like him? Too afraid to relate to someone who’s not All Might even a little bit?”
Damn but Taishiro was ballsy when he was mad. Another slam comes from behind the door. “Enough!” This time it was Nighteye who bellowed, “Stop your nonsense! You know nothing about my success or my relationship with All Might! Leave at once!”
“Happy to! But I’m no longer associated with Nighteye Agency when I do. Don’t ever call on me for any operations you head, ever again. I won’t help! Won’t even consider it! You hear me?!”
“Gladly heard and noted! Out!” The sound of footsteps towards the door followed the harsh order. Nighteye also started sputtering, “Awata, Moashi, where are you going?!”
“You in your infinite wisdom can’t figure it out? Out the door!” Bubble Girl’s voice was also quite harsh, a far cry from the cheerful voice she had greeted him with earlier, “If you can’t treat Midoriya-kun like a person and with respect just because he doesn’t have a quirk and he’s smarter than his age, then I don’t want to work here!”
“That goes for me as well,” Centipeder confirmed, “Unless something drastically changes with you in the next week, consider this my official resignation. If you do manage to come to your senses, feel free to call me then. If not, find yourself a new sidekick.”
It was really nice that they all wanted to do something so drastic for him. He doesn’t feel like he deserves it honestly. Especially since they've given up their jobs for him technically. Izuku swiftly reached out and pulled the door fully closed. That way none of the pros would notice that it was open from the get go. He tried not to make it too obvious that his heart was in his feet when the door opened and the three came out. Taishiro smiled with a thumbs up at him, “Way to go today, little buddy! Want to go get some ice cream?”
“Can we come too?” Bubble girl asked, back to her happy self. Centipeder smiled and nodded.
“I don’t see why not! What do ya say, Izuku-kun?” Izuku smiled as best as he could at the question and nodded. He still kind of felt like his whole world had turned on its end. But the only hero that could closely resemble his situation called him dangerous. A threat. A possible villain. He couldn’t get it out of his head even as they left Nighteye Agency without a single look back.
He wasn’t going to be a villain though. He swore to himself silently that he wouldn’t be. He would rather go back to being a homeless vigilante than do that! But it still wouldn’t leave his head. So he decided he needed to go out and blow off some steam with a bit of rooftop hopping and possible criminal apprehension. No criminals to really apprehend though. Damn Shouta for being Eraserhead and making this neighborhood so safe!
He lands on another rooftop and checks the alleyway behind it. Empty. Of course. He sighs. He supposes he should just cut his losses and start heading home. He looks around for the best roof to leap to in order to start the journey home. Then sighs angrily at himself. He’s made the mistake of jumping on the lowest roof in the area due to not paying attention. And all the fire escapes for the other buildings are on the opposite sides from this building. Great… Now he’ll have to get street level to get back onto the taller roofs.
He easily gets to street level with a quick leap and tumble off the roof into the alley. Now to make the walk of shame for a parkour master of going around the buildings instead of over them. He grumbles curses at himself for his stupidity. Just as he’s about to turn the corner onto the sidewalk of the street, a hand with a rag in it claps over his mouth.
Don’t breathe in! He screams at himself mentally. He doesn’t know what’s on the rag but he knows it’s probably not good and is looking to knock him out via inhalation. Can’t be chloroform though. That stuff doesn’t work immediately like they portray it in movies. Maybe a new type of drug for this stuff? What the fuck am I doing?! Focus! Escape!
He struggles harshly without breathing in as best as he can. There’s a harsh pinch to his side that makes him inhale unintentionally at the sudden pain. He manages to swing his fist up just right to catch the person in the nose, who lets him go with a grunt of pain. He’s already feeling a bit woozy as his feet hit the ground, causing him to stumble. What should he do? He can’t run like this! Who knows how far he’ll even get! Suddenly, even through the dizziness, Hizashi’s voice from a few days ago comes to his mind.
“If you’re ever in trouble and need help but don’t have a lot of time, just text one of us SOS. We’ll find you as soon as we can, Bunny Bean!” He had said as Izuku was going out to meet with Kacchan and Eiji-kun again for the first time.
SOS. He needed to text one of them SOS. He spares a quick glance at his assailant, noticing they’re kneeling on the ground in front of him. Izuku, in a moment of adrenaline fueled idiocy, rushes up and kicks them in the face. It does the job of effectively knocking them flat on the ground but it also causes Izuku to lose his balance and fall onto the ground harshly himself. The world spins. He’s running out of time. SOS. Just have to text Shouta a quick SOS. Then they’ll come help him.
He shakily pulls out his phone, doing his best to bring up Shouta’s contact. He only knows it’s his when he sees the previous text thread with a picture of Haia and the man laying on the floor next to each other. He gets the first two letters typed out before his head tips and his vision starts blackening around the edges. He shakes his head wearily. No. Not yet. He’s gotta get it sent and put his phone away so they can track him. He just needs to stay awake for another minute. He types the other S and hits send. He just barely manages to tuck his phone back away in his pants pocket when the world finally goes black.

This time, some male heroes are causing trouble for Quirkless hero S/O! They flirt with her, touch her inappropriately, and when she tries to avoid or ignore them, they tend to get a bit violent, like physically grabbing her hair or insulting her “lightly.” Once again, S/O’s pleas and reports are ignored or dismissed to the higher ups. One day, when they almost went too far, S/O felt dirtied and cried to Villain Deku. This time, Deku had to bring the LoV to get info and then kill them.

You didn't like your coworkers at your agency snd you weren't a big fan of other heroes.
Most of both groups treated you like shit. Of course, not everyone was like that. But it was so blatant and obvious, no one who hated you cared enough to hide it. It was so tiring and you honestly didn't think it'd get any worse.
Then male heroes at your agency began to target you. Because you were this quirkless little thing who couldn't beat them. At least that's what they supposed. One good right hook and you'd knocked one of them out.
Of course you got reported. You tried to explain yourself but no one listened. Whether they didn't believe you or they just didn't care, you weren't sure. But they gave you a warning saying that if you attacked another hero, you'd be out on suspension and have your hero license removed.
So you had no choice but to endure their advances without the option of defending yourself.
You tried reporting them, but the higher ups again dismissed you. They'd said you were wasting your time. And after a week, they sent you an emailing telling you to stop reporting or they'd suspend you for that.
You just couldn't afford that. Suspension for you could end badly in so many different ways. They surely would try to keep you suspended for as long as they could, stories even circulated of heroes on suspension never getting their licenses back.
And if you did come back, your popularity would decline among heroes and civilians. Newsletters would make up stories, heroes being interviewed would spread their "theories" as to why you disappeared, this theories simply being an excuse to spread gossip.
And if you interfered with any crimes, even if you saved 100 lives, they would throw you in prison without a second thought for unlicensed quirk use.
They had you cornered and they knew it, but hey, anything to make the quirkless hero suffer.
You would've told Izuku but you he was always going out of his way to protect you and you were hoping this would just pass.
All you could do was try to ignore your tormentors. And to your credit, you did your absolute best. But sometimes they'd pull you back by the hair if you walked away. They'd leave bruises that you tried your best to hide or blame villains for.
They would get upset and call you names you'd never been called, saying the most horrible things to you. Things that would make any person breakdown.
But it wasn't until one night in particular that your broke. They'd cornered you like usual, sliding their hands all over you and calling you all types of things.
Then one attempted to get your costume off.
"C'mon, show us those tits."
"You think you're anywhere near our status? We'll show you just where you stand as soon as we get your undressed."
"Oh stop whining, be grateful in touching an ugly slut like you."
They'd gotten your costume halfway down your arms and one of them even managed to take a picture, getting a good shot of your cleavage.
That's when you managed to shake them off all at once and sprint between them. One of them grabbed your hand and you struggled at freeing yourself for a second, but you succeeded and ran off.
You thought about going to your place, but you didn't want to be alone. You couldn't, not tonight. Not after what had happened. So you found your way to Izuku's place. You struggled to get the key in the door, hands shaking and vision blurred with tears.
"Fuck!" You exclaimed in frustration as your dropped your keys, quickly leaning down and picking them up.
That's when Izuku's front door quickly swing open. He looked down at you, eyes going wide at your shaking form. You stood up and immediately buried your face in his chest, sobbing.
Izuku gently pulled you inside, wrapping an arm around you, closing and locking the door behind you with the other.
"Hey, hey, I got you.. You're okay, rosebud, I've got you now." He pressed a kiss on the top of your head.
He noticed you'd began to struggle standing, so he gently scooped you up and sat on the couch. You were placed on his lap and he continued to keep you close to him.
He wasn't sure what made you do upset, but his main priority at the moment was to calm you down and make you feel safe.
After a while, your sobs turned to whines and whimpers, and those turned to sniffles.
"... Are you ready to talk honey?" He once more kissed your head, rubbing your back gently.
You hesitated before speaking. You told him about everything, about the abuse and the sexual harassment. About what the higher ups ignoring your pleas for help and their threats. And then you told him about what had happened that night. You were crying again, but didn't stop until you were finished, and Deku let you finish.
"I'm s-so sorry, Izuku! I should have told you earlier, b-but I just- I didn't-.. I-Just feel.. Dirty.." You whispered the last part, sounding ashamed.
To say Izuku was pissed was an understatement. If you didn't need him right now, he'd already be out the door. You'd given him names during your ramble and that was honestly all he needed.
But he understood that his partner was in pain and needed support. So he'd stay to give it. At least until you fell asleep.
He showered with you, watching as you continuously scrubbed the areas you'd been touched. He cupped your face in his hands, leaning his forehead against yours. "It isn't your fault, rosebud. You don't have anything to be ashamed of."
You hesitantly nodded and leaned into his palms, closing your eyes and letting silent tears fall.
He got you dressed in his pajamas, knowing you liked how baggy his shirt and boxers were on you.
The both of you laid down and he kept you against his chest, rubbing your back again as he hummed softly to the tune of your favorite song, once in a while whispering the lyrics before switching back to humming.
It didn't take you long to pass out, probably from the exhaustion of crying and all the emotions you'd felt.
He managed to slink away from you, kissing your cheek gently with a silent promise to be back soon. After making sure you were under the warm blankets and fully comfortable, he left making a phone call.
Shigaraki answered with an annoyed tone. "What the hell is it? It's late." Shigaraki didn't sleep often, but by the sound of his voice, Izuku caught him on a rare occasion. Not that he gave a shit.
"I need you some people tracked down."
Shigaraki had never heard him sound so.. Serious. "What's going on? Are they a threat?"
"I guess you could say that. They broke someone very dear to me, Im sure you know who. And I need locations in the next 40 minutes."
Normally he would roll his eyes at the freckled man for his Yandere tendencies, but this didn't seem like a typical protective Izuku moment. No, Shigaraki would have assumed you were killed from the tone he took on.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm on it. Give me the names."
Izuku gave him the names you'd mentioned and hung up. Waiting was the most frustrating part. He filled the time by doing some simple muggings. He didn't do those often, but he just needed to occupy himself until he got the names.
He didn't even kill his victims like usual. That would mean blowing off steam and he was bottling it all up for your coworkers.
He finally got the names and he dropped by the hideout to get his "tools". Afterwards, he visited each man one by one. He never made their deaths quick. No, he got creative.
Drowning, suffocation, strangulation, bludgeoning, blood loss, etc. Just a few examples of his killing methods.
No one got it worse that the man with your picture. Izuku had him unable to move as he opened the phone. The picture was the first thing to pop up and Izuku felt sick to his stomach.
He felt horrible seeing you the way you were and knowing he wasn't there.
Then the realization hit that when he found the guy, he was in bed on his phone. Looking at this picture of you. He deleted the picture from existence, breaking the phone then snapping the SIM card for good measure.
He grabbed the man by his chin roughly. He'd already activated his quirk, so it didn't surprise him when his jaw cracked and the guy cried out in pain.
"You think that's bad? Imagine how my rosebud felt, you piece of shit." He tightened his grip which resulted in a muffled scream as Izuku covered his mouth.
"Here's gonna happen. I'm going to hurt you in as many ways I can think of without killing you. I'll rip your fingernails out and break every bone in your body if possible. Then I'm gonna cut you dick off, stuff it down your throat, and leave you to choke on it. And that's how you'll be found. Sound good?"
All he received were more muffled screams.
"Don't worry. I'll be sure to take some nice pictures too, okay?"

Shoto was born with his mother’s quirk
Endeavor made a deal with afo to give him a fire quirk too so he could surpass him, since giving endeavor an ice quirk wouldn’t be an option
Tumblr media
I'm gonna hit two birds with one stone here, @gentrychild
1- ok so when Ujiko treats little Touya and realizes what is happening he goes "oh this idiot has no clue how to do real quirk eugenics" and then "oh Sensei can use this!!" So he offers a way when it becomes clear the kids won't get the right quirk- someone who can give the extra quirk to a kid and do what Enji couldn't. A 6-years-younger Enji would have first asked for a healing or stamina or other quirk to help Touya. Instead, Enji says that Shoto has Rei's strong ice work, but a strong body and constitution for fire instead, and asks for a fire quirk for him.
2- AfO says he can give Touya's quirk to Shoto, but between Enji's shred of decency and Touya's feralness, it is instead decided Shoto will be given a different fire quirk that AfO goes and takes from someone. But since he's got to do more work, he charges higher- Shoto as a spy at UA and as a hero, and Touya as an assistant to AfO's allies. It also works as an effective hostage situation- Shoto and Enji knows if either refuse or tells his mother or other siblings, Touya-nii will be killed imediately before AfO moves on to punishing the rest of his family. (And, Shoto was too young to remember that Touya-nii absolutely hates him and would love to kill him in return.)
3- Touya's time is split between helping the Doctor, assisting Giran, and chilling with Tomura in an attempt to get him used to other people who won't like him. Touya's least favorite is whoever he's currently stuck with. Shoto, meanwhile, is trained by his father when he's home, and by AfO's forces when he's on patrol.
4- Shoto and Enji know AfO isn't dead after All Might fights him but say nothing. They also know All Might is getting weaker. AfO instructs them to look out for a UA student or a younger sidekick who suddenly gets much stronger. Neither are told why, but after USJ (Shoto looked the tv screen and said flatly "I wasn't paying attention to my classmates quirks, they're all weak. I guess one guy can run fast, related to Ingenium.") Shoto has an inkling and asks Izuku if he's All Might's secret lovechild. Izuku says no, and Shoto wonders instead if izuku got his quirk from AfO. Izuku gets confused because it sounds like OfA and flusters but doesn't answer, and Shoto just shrugs and says he's heard about a cryptid who can give or take quirks and wondered if izuku just got his and that's why he sucks at using it. Izuku says "that's not it" but confirms there's a similar connection. Shoto's new theory is that Izuku is AfO's secret lovechild who can take quirks, but really slowly, and All Might rescued him from the villain when he got injured and AfO figured he'd get attached and is hoping to steal his son and All Might's quirk back in one blow.
5- Enji actually steps away from being a traitor at Kamino, not warning AfO of the raid. Shoto does too, helping Izuku. AfO can't kaboom Shoto because the potato-ing destroyed that connection (see gentry's theory) but he does remind them of the consequences. Rei, Natsuo, and Fuyumi have all been moved just before the raid though, hidden, and Shoto and Enji confessed to them. Natsuo almost ripped Enji's throat out. Touya is like "you aren't seriously going to kill me over those idiots betraying us right?" And Tomura and the Doc and Giran, who are in charge now that AfO is in Kamino, are like "nah how would you like to be the ones to kill them actually since they clearly don't care about you?" And keep him on
+1- they do care actually. Shoto met with Touya before the raid to warn him and get him out of there to safety with the others. Touya laughed in his face and walked back to the bar (which is when he was spotted lol)
