The Boys and Invincible aren’t deconstructions of Superman the character so much as they are deconstructions of how we see the Superman archetype. And his core Superman - Clark Kent - and his family are a story of immigrants, of choosing to be a good person and save people even with the knowledge you will never be truly accepted. The Boys is a deconstruction of how that archetype has been used for fearmongering and propaganda, and how deadly that can be - look at the comics from the 50s and 60s, the height of McCarthyism - of what Superman is used for, not who he is. Omni-Man is effectively, what would happen if General Zod came to Earth. It’s more a deconstruction of colonialism than anything, and it uses Superman - a character we have ingrained in us to trust - to try and lull us into the belief Omni-Man must be good, until we no longer can. Invincible is basically Chris Kent - a boy rejects his father’s imperialist ideals and chooses Earth and humanity. It puts Earth in the position of the colonized, not the colonizer.

If you dont feel represented by the current bi community, that dosent make you not bi. If you really feel such a connection to the lesbian community, i encourage you to seek out more wlw/nblw sources. Lesbians dont have your experiences fundamentally and theres a reason they dont want you there. Your not a leabian.

Im mlm and wlw and as such, im bisexual. Im not a bigaylesbian, im just bisexual and you can just be bi too. You dont need all these labels to say your bi but love women more or bi but only perfer to date men, all of that is still just bi. Bisexuals can have preferences and bisexuals can not have any preferences. Those are preferences however, not a seperate sexuality.

Spoilers for Invincible comic and season 2

Man, they sure cut the scene in which Mark shows self awarness and human reaction, and replaced it with melodrama shit with PTSD. Which doesn't make much sense in the show as his ass got handed even before Omni-man fight by Battler Beast. Show really undermines Mark's actual character of teenager with an ego due to his powerhouse status and instead replace it with sad puppy who exists to soak up pain for entertainment of people and be nothing more than megaphone to themes. I was never a fan of Invincible, but I think it is tragic that book which mocked all superhero comic bs and melodrama is now a prime example of all tropes of TV superhero shows filled into one less than mid animated package.

It's not the only scene, in the show Mark "goes serious" and threatens with his Omni-man heritage with music and close up, "subtlety" reinforcing his "dark side". When in the comic Mark casually mocks him and uses snark to out logic dude to free him. Which is pretty much who Mark is. Overpowered teenager with attitude and who use basic human logic. That's the appeal and show's Mark's exists either in ":( stop punching me I'm pathetic" or "I'm all angsty now, because we are serious show :|" when the comic shows his gradual growth into taking stuff serious (and fucking it up) way better and natural. For me, Invincible show represents people confusing sincerety with sad music and self importance. When in reality, cynicism and joking attitude can be the most sincere, in fact, it's kind of the idea with "the absence of pretence, deceit, or hypocrisy." being pretty much Invincible's appeal as satire of superhero stuff, while having some respect for it. Invincible show isn't sincere in slightest, otherwise Amber character wouldn't make 180 because of backlash and creator wouldn't say her controversial moment is "probably a mistake". Whole show just screams attempt of being Netflix melodrama during Daredevil success and using anti-Marvel status (no matter how idiotic it is) as selling point for folk who don't know better. We had same shit with Sherlock and with CDPR having a cult of simps post Witcher 3. Will it matter? Will show actually leave impact or just be dropped like other overhyped projects? I don't know, but I said my piece.

and like I pointed out before, in one of my past lives, I was used in a ritual, in attic, and I am still not sure if it is the same George, because when I did try to look up some info about a attic and a man named George, who was suppose to be one of my past life self’s Dad, I ended up finding something that has to do with a Ghost named George who I guess lived in a Lady’s Attic and who had choked a guy...

but the chances of them being the same George is very small, plus it could turn out that there were two different Georges in two different attics...

I think that some past life memories wont be a full picture for some, and some can have bad luck way too many times possibly, because in most of their past lives they never reached to 13 years old...which I believe might of happen in most of my past lives, and you be lucky to make it to that age in your current life, and no one should die so young to the point when they become 3 or 4 years old, they get memory triggered and think if they wear a dress they will die like they did in one of their past lives when they were in a hospital and possibly waiting for their baby sibling to be born....I mean if a little kid dies a bit too young and gets reborn, they are possibly going to get the wrong impression and think they will end up the same way like in one of their past lives....

which I think might be the reason why I didn’t want to wear dresses when I was really little, I think it had to do with a past life memory being triggered...    

and yeah a part of me hopes some Satanist have some sense not to cross the line, and do those disgusting Satanic Rituals...

Satanist who do that stuff in real life, I call them Toxic-Satanist and they are on the Toxic-Religious list...Toxic-Christians are also on that list...

as well as the one who made me cry and made me feel really bad, who kept misusing the words “may god have mercy on you.” or “may the lord have mercy on you...” I know it was one of those two, but yeah even when I did try to point out that all they were doing was hurting me and making me cry, that Toxic-Religious person was being too stubborn, and might of thought they were “helping” but really, they were doing more harm than good, and well I had to block them over at where it all happen...
