I felt my chin get pulled closer to sunghoon, his lips touching mines again, whipping my slightly swollen lips after. “Text me whenever you get ready to leave, we can finish what we-“ “I don’t know Hoon, my friends are planning to go to another party soon, so we might have to finish this another time.” I spoke as I got out of the car shutting the door and walking back into the party to see my friends.

“Y/n, we’ve been looking for you, for 20 minutes !” One friend spoke worriedly. I tried my best not to worry them and not inform them that it was my close friend sunghoon I was with, making out in his car as I ignored their first few texts until I realized it’s been 20 minutes. “Guys im fine don’t worry I was just tour for some fresh air that’s all.” I lied sheepishly. “Don’t do it again before telling us, we thought you got kidnapped or something!” Another spoke.

Sunghoon sighed in his car after watching me leave so quick and suddenly. It’s been almost 3 months since the night I helped him out with his aching boner. After sleeping together for a second time after ditching a party, it was his idea to become friends with benefits. His feelings for me are bigger then what he thought they were. Normally if had a “quick fuck” he wouldn’t be this upset if it got cancelled so suddenly.. but he was and he couldn’t understand why.

Maybe it because of all the time hes recently spent kissing, and being intimate with me. Either way he was so upset the quick session ended so soon.

Okay guys, here’s a mini tutorial I thought I’d whip up in the dead of night. I’m very tired so sorry if there’s spelling errors. If you have any questions, just ask BTW. So, anyway, this quick tut is for retopo-ing MD meshes with Zbrush and Blender in a way that preserves the UV islands so you don’t lose the nice neat UV shape that MD generates. Ready? Okay.

You will need: Marvelous Designer Blender Zbrush

Note: This tut doesn’t cover how to use these programs. You have to already know that.

Okay, here we go.

1. Make your mesh as normal and export from MD. Make sure the mesh is unwelded in the export options. I’ve called mine top.obj. Here it is.

2. Now highlight all, right-click the 3D garment and chose Reset 3D Arrangement (selected) or Reset 2D Arrangement (selected) - either one of these commands should flatten your mesh into the pattern-shaped pieces you started with in MD.

3. Export this from MD, again make sure the mesh is unwelded in the export options. I called mine topFLAT.obj

4. Import FLAT version into Zbrush.

5. Under Geometry tab, ZRemesher, hit the ZRemesher button. Depending on your mesh, yours might be fine to export with the default settings. For mine, however I’m going to lower the Target Polygons Count to make it lower poly.

6. When you’re happy with the poly count, export your mesh. I called mine topFLATretopo.obj

7. In Blender 2.79, import all three obj files. Sometimes the Zbrush mesh will be split into pieces, so you can go ahead and merge these pieces in Blender with CTR+J if that is the case. We want 3 meshes: the original MD mesh, the flat version, and the retopologised flat version. You can go ahead and tick the eye button to hide the original MD mesh and the FLAT version for now. First we will do things to the FLATretopo version.

8. With the FLATretopo version selected, divide the window so that you have the 3D version to one side and the UV/Image Editor to the other side. Now you can ender Edit Mode, Mesh -> UV Unwrap and Project From View to get the same UV island shape that MD generated. Make sure you are in orthographic front view before doing this (hit 5 and 1) or your UVs might be skewed. With that done, return to object mode.

9. In the Modifier tab chose Surface Deform. Set the target as the FLAT version, turn the Interpolation falloff up as far as it will go (16) and hit the Bind button. Now you can hide the FLATretopo mesh.

10. Unhide the original MD mesh and the FLAT version.

11. With the FLAT version selected, switch to the Object Data tab. Under Shape Keys, hit the plus sign. ‘Basis’ key should appear.

12. Now you must deselect everything, then select first the original MD mesh and second the FLAT version. It is important they are in that order. Once you have selected them, hit the little downwards arrow to the side of Shape Keys and chose Join as Shapes. Another key should appear, named the same as your original mesh.

13. Unhide the FLATretopo mesh.

14. Click on the newest key and slide the Value slider all the way to the right. The FLAT mesh and the FLATretopo mesh should morph into the position and shape of the original MD mesh.

15. Select the FLATretopo mesh and hit Apply on the modifier to confirm the movement. Then you can delete both the original MD mesh and the FLAT version. You don’t need those anymore.

16. Now you should have a final mesh that has a nice topology from what we generated in Zbrush as well as a neat UV map, plus it’s still in the shape as the original garment you made. It isn’t finished yet, however. Now you need to close up the seams, fix the UVs for TS4 usage, and make everything pretty.

Note: I personally start this next step by Shading Smooth in the 3D window. This will highlight the seams that need fixing. If the item is symmetrical, I find it easier to just delete half of the mesh and use a mirror modifier while I work on it. It cuts the workload in half. Now I just go around the seams and close them manually. It doesn’t usually take very long once you get the hang of it. I also bind all my repetitive keys to shortcut keys (eg. Merge, rip, cut, loop select, etc) so it’s quicker.

When the FLAT version is still flat, you can also edit the topography directly onto the mesh to make sure the seam verts will match up. You can also remove any unnecessary loops easily as well as adding extras.

Say Goodbye to Bad Townie Fashion With MCCC/MC Dresser!

One of the biggest game changers for me playing Sims 4 was learning how to use MC Command Center Dresser to auto generate pre-selected outfits on the townie sims.  

There are a bunch of sites out there that go over the process, but I wanted to try and make a basic “one stop shop” of all the things I have learned and do to make my game the best it’s ever been!

First some notes so you aren’t disappointed:

Pre-Seasons Townies and the Seasons Expansion Pack: MC Command Center fixes outfits when an NPC is generated or ages up.  In a new save that means the fix will NOT be applied to the hot and cold weather outfits of NPCs like Don Lothario or The Pancakes, who are already in the new world when it loads.  

To fix this you can create a template save of your own and fix it permanently yourself (highly recommended) or run the dresser cleaner cheat in Step 3 of this article every time you start a new save.  

Career, Situation, and Create-A-Sim Outfits: This process will not alter the outfits generated for careers, situations, or when generating a band new sim in CAS.  

Turning off situation outfits will be covered.

I haven’t found a permanent way to alter career or create-a-sim outfits but career outfits in my experience are mostly OK and when creating a sim, I think most of us are taking the time to change all their clothes anyway.  

Be mindful when you download sims off the gallery, if the user didn’t have Seasons you might end up with some funky hot and cold weather looks!  I always recommend a quick check.

OK – now onto the good stuff!

Step 1: Watch This Video

I learned about this magic from this 7-minute video.  It’s still the best one I have found to cover the basics of what we’re trying to accomplish.

Don’t worry too much right now about adding your own saved outfits.  That’s a nice extra but its not the main way you’ll want to begin this process. More on that below.

This video also covers getting rid of the situation outfits I mentioned above.

Step 2: Create/Download Your MC_Dresser.cfg File

In order for MC Dresser to work it needs saved outfits to pull from.  These comes from your mc_dresser.cfg file.  You don’t have to try and create your own from scratch, other wonderful simmers have already done that for you!  

Below are links to 4 sites that have shared their dresser files. To make it easy I have combined all the basegame items into 1 file for you (all credit to the original creators!).  My all in file includes outfits for all life stages, including infants.

You can add onto your existing dresser file at any time (that’s were the save new outfit option from the video comes in handy).  You can also easily delete a saved outfit you no longer want.

Put the .cfg file in your mods folder, wherever you keep your MC Command Center files.

Step 3: Run the Dresser Cleaner!

This is covered at the end of the video in Step 1.  If you don’t do this, you will not see your new outfits. You can do this at any time, as often as you’d like.

Step 4: Don’t Lose Your .cfg File!

MC Command Center needs updated on a regular basis and the last thing you want to do is accidently toss your precious dresser .cfg file out when updating.  The mc_dresser.cfg file should be copied and added back to your mods folder each time you update the mod.

That’s it!  It may sound like a lot but its actually really easy to do and if you’re like me you’ll thank yourself a thousand times over for taking the time to do it.

ep 2. recommended workouts + a glimpse of my workout routine

note: this post does not intend to encourage unhealthy weight loss, dieting or weight shaming. Working out does not only help with weight loss but also contains a multitude of benefits that range from helping grow hair to increasing energy levels <3

Working out (or exercise - depends on how you say it) is a part of my daily routine, to the point where I ask myself if it's a hobby lol. I've been working out for quite a bit, and I've come to a conclusion that the workout style the suits me the best would be Pilates. In my eyes, it's much gentler on the body in comparison to HIIT and cardio - although I must say that if you are looking for quick results, you may opt for the other two instead of Pilates as it takes a while for one to see results and it focuses more on toning.

The essentials: these workouts are the ones I run to when I'm feeling tired, lazy or if I need something I'm familiar with at the end of a long workout session.

The burners: these workouts are what I include when I'm feeling courageous and have the extra energy to burn.

Quick fixes (necessary for exam days): I think this title is pretty self-explanatory.

Moving on to my mini workout routine (tho I did start Madeline Abied's 1 month Pilates challenge recently, so I'm not following this for now)

EARTHSPARK IS SO GOOD, YOU GUYS. OH MY FUCKING GOD. 😩

Hello boyos, gorls, and nonbinary pals. It’s been a while since I’ve written a huge writing on this silly platform, huh? Lol.

Anyways, quick updates: I’m releasing a new video sometime this month, which is me ranting about the misogyny of the Bayverse. Fun times. Fun times. :D Also, I’ll be at TFCon LA 2023 next week for Saturday and Sunday. Feel free to come by and say hi to me. :)

Back to the review…so….the 2010s to early 2020s has been a very weird decade for Transformers. Not only for the Bayverse movies (my beloathed), but for the tv shows. While Age of Extinction is my guilty pleasure and Dark of The Moon is legitimately good, the movies are declining in popularity and quality, thus resulting in a huge reboot to fix up Bay’s mess. That resulted in Bumblebee (2018), a gem that was the light at the end of a very frustrating tunnel. Transformers Prime started strong, but then turned into a mish mash of wasted potential and became a frustrating chore to watch by the end. RID 2015 is a show that exists. Rescue Bots is great, and Academy is fine for what it is. If you read my review of BotBots before the accidental deletion, that show is pretty good. However, it’s a show where someone might gotta have to take it or leave it. In the middle of the downward spiral of the Aligned continuity and the movie universe rebuilding itself from Bayverse’s mess, Transformers Cyberverse is the true outlier. It’s so great I made an entire video about it that you can check it out in the link below. 🤭

Now, I wanted to bring this up when talking about Earthspark because ngl, I was worried about the potential likelihood of the show falling into the pittraps of the Aligned continuity in the first round. Now that I’ve watched the show, I can confidently tell you that IT’S EVEN BETTER THAN I EXPECTED. WE HAVE A FUCKING MIRACLE AT THE END OF A TURBULENT DECADE.

This show is thankfully so much amazing and cool and wholesome, JUST LIKE IT HAS NO RIGHT IN BEING THIS GOOD. True, like I always say, there is no such thing as a perfect show. This show definitely have flaws, but they’re not detriment to the show’s quality. It’s basically everything I ever want from a Transformers show, including even subversions of the Transformers formula like Cyberverse.

Let’s go on this little journey together on everything I like and dislike about the show. Spoiler warning here since this show is best experienced blind and I’m not like some people who decided it’s a good idea to not put spoilers behind a tag or filter. Don’t be like these people. Don’t spoil the show for those who cannot access it. Don’t do it. 🙂

The Good, The Bad, The Skullcruncher:

Let’s get the elephant in the room clear: the art style is…an art style that exists. It’s not for everyone and it did take me a while to warm up to it. However, over time, I’ve gotten used to it since the amazing animation and fight choreography are great enough to make up for the art style.

The school episode is meh. It’s nothing interesting of note except the Terran parts and frankly, I find the two bullies pretty annoying. However, it does deserve points for having the amazing Daran Norris back in a Transformers show. At least it is not boring, but it’s not worth noting.

The humor sometimes doesn’t land, especially since modern humor such as the iPad environment we’re in is a delicate line these days. The humor is Yeessss tier most of the time though.

I’m glad that Hashtag didn’t keep her weird accent when she first appeared. That’s a plus. 👍🏽

Bee did come across as a bit of an asshole at first, which was admittingly something I wasn’t vibing with. However, thanks to the power of good character development, I warmed up to him. However, a counterpoint is that it’s a unique subversion of how Bee is introduced from other Transformers media.

I have no idea how to feel about Mandroid. It feels like he really doesn’t have much of a significant impact on the story, since GHOST are the main antagonist and the Decepticons being more of a morally gray chaotic neutral type characters. After the end of the first part, I only have questions of where the hell is he. It’s such a shame, since he has a lot of interesting potential and he has a banger voice actor behind him. At least he came back in the finale episode for reasons I’ll get to in the positives section of this review.

Anyways…yeah, that’s all I have to talk about in terms of critiques. Let’s move onto the good stuff: EVERYTHING ELSE. 🥳

A Night of a Thousand Bumblebees:

This show gets points for referencing the Optimist Prime and Negatron meme.

The main characters are just so charming and lovable, I WILL PROTECT THEM WITH MY LIFE. The Malto family is the main human characters done right. Dot is such a badass with such an enduring friendship with Megatron, along with being a loving mom and best wife to Alex. She’s also really great disability representation, showing that even with the prosthetic leg, she’s still a badass. Speaking of Alex…this man has no right in being such a lovable dork who loves his family and having so much swag. I want that Bumblebee suit. Mo and Robbie are very likable and adorable, especially regarding to their relationship with their Terran siblings. Speaking of the Terrans, they’re just utter darlings and a joy to watch. Twitch is hyperactive and cute, Thrash has a lot of funny moments and a likable personality, Hashtag is surprisingly enjoyable considering her powers of the Internet, I would die for Jawbreaker, AND NIGHTSHADE IS THE AUTISM CREATURE. I fucking love them, not only for being already being great nonbinary representation but also has a lot of relatable quirks such as their mechanic hyperfixation and their difficulty in having social interactions with other people. And…THE SCENE WHERE THEY SAY THEY ARE THEY/THEM HAD ME SOBBING SO HARD. It’s just amazing to see the franchise that helped me out so much throughout my life validate my existence and the existence of so many others like me. ✨😭✨

LOOK AT FLUFFY EARS. SHE’S SO ADORABLE. 🥺

ELITA IS MY PINK WIFE. I FUCKING LOVE HER. SHE CAN TOP ME. ✨😩✨

Bumblebee took a while for me to warmed up to him, but he eventually becomes the Bubblewrap we all know and love. Also, his relationship with Breakdown, although brief, is so wholesome. 🥺

Other things I love is the voice acting, including the welcomed returns of Transformers alumni such as Steven Blum and Roger Craig Smith, the animation is beautiful, the fight scenes are bonkers and well choreographed, the humor is yeesss tier, and overall, the messages such as having a good relationship with your family and good teamwork. Delicious food. ✨

I really love what this show is doing with Megatron and Optimus. Their relationship is perhaps my favorite part of the show. You can definitely feel not only how close they are as fwiends, but you can see both sides of the idea they represent: what if every bot deserve second chances? I appreciate the nuance to the Autobot vs Decepticon conflict, something that is definitely built up from Cyberverse. Here, it explores in depth about the more gray and complex areas of the conflict, where neither side is right nor wrong. However, it’s a reasonable two sides of a coin story that is explained well enough to appeal to both kids and adults. I also like how Megatron and Optimus are willing to hear each other out even through their disagreements. Optimus is also very likable and adorable, being a big ol dork you cannot help but be charmed by. Now…let’s focus on Megatron now.

I thought “Decay” was my favorite episode for exploring Optimus’ and Megatron’s relationship in depth, and bitter divorce ex Soundwave…until “Warzone” came out. This Megatron manages to fix the main issue of Autobot Megatron: it makes sure that he has to work hard to earn trust in his journey of redemption. He is someone with a lot of regrets over how much destruction and devastation done to Cybertron, because of his actions. It doesn’t sugarcoat the realities of his redemption: there are people who are not gonna accept that he wants to end the war nor understand how much the war costed the Cybertronian people everything. The cherry on top of his lessons to the baby boo boos about not repeating the same mistakes the Transformers did is the presence of the flowers from the IDW. Quick summary: they represent how much lives are lost in a conflict. Just…the way it fell from the monument at the Spacebridge Memorial to Megatron gently picking it up and putting it back on it, symbolizing how much he truly changed for the better. After the fight with Shockwave, including all the heartbreaking LAYERS of the gravity of Megatron’s redemption, it concludes on a beautiful message that many people came learn from, especially in these current times. you cannot change the past, but if we learn about it, we will be able to not make those same mistakes ever again. Thus, “Warzone” is my favorite episode in the entire season. In fact, I want to dedicate an entire essay to how this series portrayed Megatron once everything is done and finished. We’ll come back to the topic soon, lads.

Also, I really love how the show is exploring the not so bright side of having bots on planet Earth. The finale episode is perhaps the episode that rivals “Warzone” for not only bringing more amazing nonbinary representation in the form of Sam (looking forward to seeing her and their relationship with Nightshade in future episodes), but for managing to tell a story of how to deal with racism (through the Terrans being treated as outsiders in the big city) without sugarcoating it and telling it in a way that kids can understand. Hashtag feels the most pain in being treated as an outsider, even with her family there to tell her that everything will be okay. Then…perhaps one of the darkest scenes of Transformers as a whole is when Mandroid took over her as an attempt to get rid of the baby boo bops and try to get Bumblebee’s parts, and feeds into her insecurities over whether or not she has the right to live on Earth. Through the use of mind tricks, he is a representation of all the disgusting ignorance and stupidity plaguing our real world right now, trying to “prove” that marginalized people, who are represented by the Terrans here, have no right to exist. However…then the Malto kids used the power of the Green Prime to reach out to Hashtag and let her know that everything will be okay. True, not everybody is going to be compassionate and understanding of people who are different from them. There are genuinely evil and hateful people who will never be negotiated with and will never understand the concept of being a decent human being. However…it doesn’t mean that you should let them get to you. You deserve the right to be yourself and live your life the way you want to live it. You are surrounded by people who love you and understand what you’re going through. You are not alone. You are good enough. In a time where we experience such amount of racism, misogyny, and homophobia in places in and out of the Transformers fandom…we need this message more than ever. We should not follow Mandroid’s hateful ideology. Instead, we should be the Maltos. Love will triumph over hate, and no matter how much the world tries to crush you, you are more than meets the eye in beautiful ways.

Conclusion: This is number three on the Transformers ranking list as of the time I am writing this. 💕

Transformers Earthspark is incredible. It has no right in getting everything so right. It’s a fantastic love letter to the Transformers franchise as a whole. Let the haters talk smack. I am confident in saying that this show is the ever rare Ultra Yesss tier 10/10.

so this was just a quick sketch. i dont reall like the style but whatever. also this storry is written to be in comic so it has a lot of character developtments and main aspects of a story

1)lola

idk why she looks so weird but anyway. she's best friend of Amy(mentioned below) she's just living, now when holiday is starting she got summer job in some coffee shop. the same coffee shop where Amy got the job. they became friends. yay. i don't have much more than that i was thinking about Gia killing her(DONT ASK ME WHY I DUNNO) but she kinda new.

2)amy

she's the main character. she has a lot of lore for some reason and her pre-version was something COMPLETELY different. but ill talk about that later. one time she goes home after school and any of her parents neither her sister aren't home. its weird, she waits, after two hours its weird. she calls the 911(not really were livin' in Czechia) and bla bla she gots teleported to another reality where she is dead. than she gots teleported back. fast forward to present day, she's in another reality, she cot control about the porting and she has some other powers like idk reality manipulation but she like can only change color of some pencils or something. than she meets kiri, bla bla, than she mets gia, version of her from another universe, bla bla, than she almost gets killed by ms B(yes its not full name i was just too bored to actually give her some name and personality of any other than being a bitch, which is kinda funny saying her "name" is ms B. in older stages she actually had a name, beliangage, but that was too long, sounded weird and also sounded for some reason like beldam from Coraline. back to Amy, I'm ending with her being in her universe after fixing what Gia did in the drawing "don't trust short-haired version of me" and someone calling on her phone. it was her "missing" mom. actually, the missing parents was one of the oldest ideas bcs i didn't wanted the orphan cliché. her parent went "missing" because Gia at that time wanted to delete her parent from reality and accidentally deleting them from EVERY universe. bye this was long.

what am i supposed to say. she stopped talking to her family bcs she found out about her powers and the amazing ms b, like girl- anyways, she's weird. she likes the idea of the whole universe being deleted except one, even though ms b wanted more amy to help her and that is the reason why gia is jealous of amy, she wanted to be the best one. bla bla, she gets mad ot her for something, she pretends to be her in the news, the drawing "dont trust short-haird version of me" happens and she realizes what se had done. but no redemption. were not doing that here. shes supposed to be here bcs even tho she could be "bad" and amy "good", theyre there to compliment eachother nd show that amy. is. not. good. pls. im not doing this anymore.

starting with my favorite, namelogy(does that even exist?) a lot of people thought that the name is from avatar, but i had the idea of her even before. ind the name comes from...cheese. i need help. in our country theres like this cheese spread thats called "cheese kiri" and i thought it would be so funny if her name was kiri too. potentionally a punchline for a joke that would be too cringe to even be written in the script. so about kiri, she just like spawned to amys life, she was like one of the customers and she forgot to do something with her eyes and amy was like wtf so she asked her, she didnt respond, but than she gave her a little note with like can you come please outside at 17:00 i need to tell you something, than telling her something and than disappearing💀. anyways, i thought about that lot but i was thinking if her and amy maybe getting together. i didnt want romance in that story bs i dont really enjoy romance media myself(except good omens, everything except good omens, GO is consuming my brain for the last year and i dunno what to do) so idk.

anyway, little bit of namelogy for the other ppl. the most generic one is gia, i just searched some names. originally amy was supposed to be gia and gia also gia but that would be too much confusing for everyone, even i now mess up somethings their names. amy how i said was supposed to be gia but than i heard the sonf from Britney Spears "if u seek amy" for thr bazzilionth time and thought it would be really good idea to net have two characters that almost look the same,ARE THE SAME PERSON and have the same name so i just picked amy. i actually have a classmate and exbestfriend amy and ppl around me thought she was the inspiration for the name but no, and if ur reading this amy, no sorry, ur not special. and the origin of lola? when i thought about naming her, it was around that time when the song "her name was lola, she was a show girl" was trending so i just went for lola. no funny story, no cheese.

The current priority is the one going by "Zuko Sees Sokka Fucked Up" lol bc @witchering10123 wrote the most beautifully painful Whumptober series about Hakoda and Sokka just Going Through It and I wanted to write the last two entries from Zuko's perspective when Sokka gets found because I think that would be so good and I love pain and suffering!!

Let's see... Modern Taiwan AU is the one I'm most excited about! This will be a long one and I've never written a modern AU before but basically it's based on SKAM (particularly season 3 of Druck) so it's like a cute trans love story BUT it is also going to have a LOT to do with Taiwan's ghost month and is going to be kind of inspired my Marry My Dead Body hehehehehe

Toxic Jetko I just posted about but basically it's my take on if Zuko and Jet had tried to make things work but it really just wouldn't have. It IS based kind of note for note on a real relationship I've had in the past because the dynamic was way too Jetko and I was like wow wouldn't that be a great fanfic actually

(how terrible it is) to love something death can(‘t) touch is a FUCKING. VAMPIRE AU!!! and it's so so so far from being ready but it's uhhhhh basically like if IWTV was about Zukka and Izumi. So there is some Divorced Zukka in there and also references to asshole Zhao in flashbacks... It's going to be angsty and exciting, but probably also pretty long

i will not be great, but I’m grateful to get through is a very niche sequel to if i fade away (the awful things we do to make the head go quiet) because that is a Dead Dove fic with a cliffhanger ending and I'm excited for the healing that we will see in the sequel but it does deal with heavy shit so I haven't been super quick at writing it. It does fix the Big Problem we saw in the first one though.

ZAtD Katara Arc - So when I wrote Zuko Amongst the Dragons I rushed it a bit too much and I love the universe that has been created for it so I want to go back and revisit some stuff. I skipped over the Puppetmaster and the Southern Raiders episodes in the plot and I thought it would be cool to write something with that like a deleted scene where Dragon Zuko is with Katara dealing with these terrible things

ZAtD Izumi Epilogue - I couldn't fit this into the main story BUT I want to write like a 5-10 years later snapshot of Zukka so happy with Druk and Izumi and kind of revisit how Zuko is dealing with his humanness, and is he the Fire Lord or nah?

ZAtD Divorce Epilogue - This would be way later but I'm obsessed with the idea of Divorced Zukka BUT with their psychic connection from their Dragon Bond and like what would happen any time they get into a room together hehe

ZAtD Extended Torture Scene - This is just because I had so many ideas for when Azula interrogates Sokka at the Boiling Rock that I left out of the original fic bc it kind of disrupted the tone but I DO like whump and angst so I WOULD like to finish what I had kind of wanted for that scene muahahaha

Summary: After leaving Hawkins, Jonathan decides it's his job to take care of them all.

A/N: I wrote this back in 2019 after I’d deleted my blog and posted it on AO3 in reaction to the season 3 ending. Now, with season 4 just about to come out, I figured I could post it here. I hope you like it! If you see any weird formatting it’s because I just copied and pasted it from AO3.

The drive away from Hawkins wasn’t silent. None of them talked, but the small things that did make sounds occupied the entirety of the car, until Jonathan felt like he didn’t fit anymore. El’s deep breaths, Will occasionally sniffling, the fucking car keys dangling from the ignition, and Nancy’s goodbye ringing in Jonathan’s ears. He felt bad for the others. If he hadn’t been driving he would’ve gone insane ages ago.

He glanced to the side. Will had his head turned away from him, as if contact would burn him. All around them, endless trees, a blur of yellow that couldn’t have been that interesting to look at to begin with. Will, entirely still except for his hands continuously wringing the hem of his t-shirt, was most likely aware of Jonathan’s gaze on him and yet did not acknowledge it.

He caught El’s eye in the rearview mirror, but only for a second before she averted hers. She stared at her lap for a beat, two, and then out the window like Will.

Jonathan turned back to the road, cleared his throat, but no words fell out of it. He had nothing. He’d run dry. He couldn’t fix this for any of them.

What a fucking mess.

“I need to go to the bathroom,” Will suddenly said, breaking the spell. “Or the woods. Whatever works.”

Jonathan pulled into a gas station only a couple of minutes after, Will slamming the door with slightly too much force as he exited. Jonathan caught El’s eye in the mirror again. “You need to go too?”

She shook her head. “No.”

“You sure?”

She cracked a smile. Out of all of them, she was somehow still the one able to smile. “I’m sure.” “Okay.”

“Do you need to?”

“What?”

“Go?”

“Oh. No, I’m good.”

Her smile grew. “You sure?”

He let out a laugh, turning back to grin at her. “I’m sure.”

“Okay.” Will was quick, and they caught up with Joyce in no time. She’d probably not even realized they’d stopped, which was good. Jonathan was sick of worrying her.

The first day at the new house, too many hours away to visit Hawkins regularly, was chaotic. Furniture being moved around, giving out bedrooms, trying to fit everything in a space they didn’t know. Trying to make it familiar, with a whole new family member being present. Maybe it was a good thing that El became a part of them here. She wouldn’t have to feel like an intruder when none of them knew the sounds this house made anyway.

“Of course you’ll all have your own rooms,” Joyce was saying, an edge to her voice.

“But where will you sleep?” El insisted.

“The closet fits my bed just fine. We don’t own that many clothes anyway.”

El turned to Will, as if looking for assistance. Jonathan was glad his mother was pushing for this, though. He couldn’t imagine having to share his room and having to put up a front all the time, as selfish as it sounded.

“You’re all too old to share a room with a family member,” Joyce continued when Will made a move to speak. “I don’t want to make this worse than it is, okay?”

Jonathan shut himself in his new bedroom as soon as he could, feeling like a pre-teen again. They hadn’t fixed up the phone yet, so he couldn’t call Nancy, as much as he wanted to. He was aware that it was a bit sad that El and Will missed more than one person, but Jonathan had never been much for friends anyway.

He sat on his old bed, looking at the new walls. They were white. Bare. Standard in a new home, but the texture was all wrong, and the position of the window was all wrong, and no matter how hard he’d tried he couldn’t replicate his old space and it was all wrong.

Jesus. He was literally acting like a 12-year-old.

He knocked on Will’s door. “Buddy, can I come in?”

He heard a mumble, and then Will opened the door for him, not even waiting to hear what he wanted before he was walking back toward the bed and allowing Jonathan to enter on his own.

The room looked sad. Possibly because Will got rid of so many of his things during the move, but even the couple of posters on the walls didn’t manage to make it feel like a home. But maybe he was being dramatic.

“You okay?” he asked, taking a seat beside him.

Will shrugged. “I’m all right, I guess.”

“You need help unpacking anything?”

“I’m good.”

“All right.” He leaned back, resting his body on his elbows. “Your bed is so squeaky.”

Will huffed out a laugh. “I should’ve asked for a new one while I had the chance.”

“Too late now,” Jonathan said, reaching out to poke his back. “Oh, hey, I’d almost forgotten how ticklish you were,” he said when his brother jerked away.

Will shoved at him. “Shut up.”

Had the circumstances been different Jonathan would’ve launched a proper tickle fight, but he had a feeling Will wouldn’t appreciate it right now.

“You know you can talk to me, right? If things seem terrible.”

Will nodded. “I know.”

Jonathan poked him again. “At least you’ve got Eleven.”

Eleven. They both realized it simultaneously. As awful as things seemed for them, it was probably worse for her.

Jonathan hadn’t spoken much to El, despite her having dated his girlfriend’s brother for a while. He was happy to see that she felt comfortable around them all, especially Joyce, but he was aware of the fact that, if El would pretend to be fine to anyone, it would be to their mother. She wouldn’t want Joyce to feel any worse than she already did. El was a lot like Will in that aspect.

Jonathan frankly had no idea of how to approach her naturally, so he let the knowledge that they now lived together be the main reason. “Hey.”

She looked up from her bowl of semi untouched cereal. “Hi.” “You mind if I join you?”

“No.”

He took a seat across from her, the table small and old and quite honestly falling apart. They smiled at each other, a bit awkwardly, but it felt genuine. They were in a tricky situation, what with suddenly being siblings, sort of. Jonathan had always wanted more siblings. A sister. And he reckoned El having more people to care for her wouldn’t hurt.

“Will and I are thinking of exploring the area today,” he said, realizing too late that this would’ve felt more casual had he gotten some breakfast of his own to eat. “Wanna join?”

That was the start. Her nod, her insisting Joyce came with, and pretty much a whole day of walking around and talking as if nothing was wrong. Maybe that was the first step to things feeling more okay, but he definitely knew that was the start of their growing relationship. Or at least he hoped so.

The three of them started reading comics together. Playing games, sometimes with Joyce joining in. They still hadn’t really talked about everything, but Jonathan knew that they probably needed the distraction more than the therapy right now. They needed the bad jokes, the nights spent cooking, movies, trips down memory lane, trips to the store, the laughter. Will had started laughing again too.

Joyce, not yet.

One thing at a time.

They were in Will’s room, the three of them. They’d started gathering almost every evening, not really doing much, but needing the company as the sun started setting earlier and earlier. Will was leaning against the headboard, and Jonathan was leaning into him, mostly because he enjoyed the way his brother was laughing as he tried to shove him away.

“You’re heavy,” he whined, El watching them both act like fools from the foot of the bed.

“Oh, excuse me. I didn’t come here to be offended.” He emphasized his point by lightly pushing Will away with his shoulder, making him laugh even harder. “Why are you laughing, huh?”

“I’ve never seen you like this,” El suddenly said. She was grinning when Jonathan looked at her. “Either of you.”

“This tends to only happen behind closed doors,” he said, sitting upright to give Will more space again. “I wouldn’t want to embarrass him in front of his friends.”

Will rolled his eyes. “More like you don’t want to act like an idiot in front of Nancy.”

“Nancy knows every side of me, trust me.”

“I don’t believe you.”

“Why?”

Will flashed him a grin. When did that kid get so cocky? “She hasn’t dumped you yet.”

“All right, you know what?”

Will’s giggles came easily the moment Jonathan’s fingers found his ribs, but the laughter was deeper, the flailing limbs longer. He almost got elbowed in the face two seconds in, but he reckoned he would’ve had it coming.

“Stop!” Will cried, nearly falling off the bed had Jonathan not grabbed his arm. “Come on, don’t be mean!”

“Because you were being an angel just now.”

“I’m sorry!”

They were finally okay to do this. Jonathan hadn’t realized how long it had been.

“El, do you know about tickling?” he asked, glancing at her for long enough to see her nod.

“Hopper,” was all she said. Jonathan couldn’t really picture that man being playful, but maybe he was being unfair. He hadn’t known Hopper like that, after all.

“Good, that means I can do this without alarming you.”

It was only a quick squeeze to her knee and a couple of pokes to her belly. More he didn’t dare do, but she was laughing nevertheless, hands raised as if ready to fend him off. Will, sweet Will, was still giggling beside him.

There were bad days too. Days where Jonathan wanted nothing more than to talk to Nancy for hours and hours, but then Will needed the phone, or El, or their mother, and Jonathan wanted to throw a temper tantrum because he hadn’t held Nancy in his arms in weeks and they were depriving him of his sole comfort.

But then he realized it was the same for them. And he also realized that Hopper was gone, so El - and his mother, for that matter - had more to be angry over. Had more to mourn.

He caught Eleven in one of those moments, when the tears kept streaming down her cheeks and seemed to never stop. They were home alone, Jonathan returning to a seemingly empty house and finding El in her room, the door open. She was holding that piece of paper again. The one they’d jokingly started calling the script. Hopper’s words sloppily written down, unaware of what they would come to mean. Jonathan hadn’t read the whole thing, but El was compensating for it by reading it over and over.

He didn’t say anything as he entered. El moved over to make space for him on the bed, wiping and wiping at her face as if she didn’t want him to see, but there was no use.

“Hey,” he said, grabbing her wrist. “It’s okay.”

They sat in silence, El’s sniffling occasionally breaking it, and Jonathan was reminded of that car ride all those weeks ago. He wasn’t foolish enough to think things would ever feel entirely okay for her, and he wondered how many times she’d cried without anyone consoling her.

“You know what helped us when Will went missing?”

She wiped at her face again. ”What?”

“Looking at his things. Remembering the good times.”

El had a box of Hopper’s stuff. Of the things she’d decided to keep. Jonathan had seen his mother look at them from time to time, when El hadn’t been in. They made her cry, but it also seemed to bring her peace.

Joyce and Will found them on the floor a while later, Hopper’s things spread out around them as El told story after story about each item. Joyce put the groceries down and joined, adding facts and stories that El hadn’t known, the two of them crying and laughing simultaneously.

Jonathan watched Will linger in the doorway and reached out a hand toward him. He entered, sat down, leaned into his brother, and listened.

Life update - October 2023

Hello everyone! Author of Paw Prints, and Afterlife here! I wanted to come on here because I’ve gotten some messages and asks as to why I have not posted recently or updated any of my stories in a bit. In all honesty I meant to answer sooner but life has just seemed to get in my way. I wanted to be honest with everyone since people seem to genuinely enjoy my stories. (Which I appreciate you all so much 🙏🏻) so here’s a quick update in my life as to why I haven’t been posting.

* I have had some financial difficulties in my family and we got behind on multiple bills. Stress has become a daily issue. Writing was a stress reliever but it got even so bad that I couldn’t find the time or will to write. Depression is a hoe ✊🏻

*my laptop took a crap on me. I had the final part to paw prints all written out! I was going to post and my computer froze! I tried everything to get it to work and then suddenly I tried again the other day to get to it and my computer has completely deleted my account so any and all documents I had are GONE. I tried to recover with google docs but apparently they had not synced my final part so I’ll have to completely re-write that one. 😩 also see first point as to why I haven’t been able to get a new laptop, I’m a broke bitch <3

*I was served foreclosure papers for our home. As stated in the beginning we had some financial difficulties and got behind. I tried to avoid this process however the bank was unhelpful in this situation. I was able to accumulate the funds needed to entirely pay the house up to current, however the bank DENIED my payments and would rather put my family on the street than allow me to pay the house current out of foreclosure.

*I am taking additional steps to prevent losing my home that has taken my full energy/attention so I have not been really up to/able to respond to some of the requests I have gotten. Typing up full stories on my phone doesn’t sound too appealing so I’m going to try and fix my laptop or aquire a new one some way soon hopefully. Anyway.

In conclusion it really felt like when I started writing my life went downhill and some people say it’s a curse of a writer that things will go wrong once you start. It seems to be true in my case anyway. I really hope I can get the finale to Paw prints out soon and another chapter of Afterlife. I even had an October short story planned out for our Bakugo/Slasher lovers that I wrote in my head during a road trip a stretch of really dark road. I still plan to get that out soon if possible even if I do have to just type it all on my phone.

I appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding with me even if some of the requests or asks about why I am not posting were a bit snarky in nature I tend to turn the other cheek as it were and explain that life circumstances happened.

Khalique pokes her head out from the kitchen, a small figure turns around holding out a glowing light blue page at the white haired girl which she immediately understands.

She walks out of the kitchen and grabs the paper from ?, checking the paper she realized it was from the last timeline.

“ Really? ”

“ Yup, mind giving it a little change? ”

“ Just… this time. ”

Khalique changes her body back to the ghostly state, summoning out a portal she jumps in.

“ Imaginary, can you transfer me to the dream's disguise timeline? Like right after she tries to crush the core? ”

The tree didn’t respond or it never did, it just sucked her into the timeline Khalique wants to be in.

“ Ha…. Ha…”

Same dream, same fight, she was lost to Fu Hua again intentionally, right before The phoenix grabbed her core she said out the same line but different.

“ Heh… you know if.. you crush my core… (y/n) will die with me. ”

This time, The phoenix stopped but her hand was still hovering over the core.

“ Make it quick. ”

“ (y/n)’s body is not fully theirs, the body is supported by the Herrscher core… the same one which now you are about to crush. ”

Taking the chances while Fu Hua is still sinking in the information, Khalique quickly chains her against the floor.

“ !!..”

“ You trickster.. ”

“ I wouldn’t say the same~ ”

The ghostly figure gets up from the ground watching the phoenix struggles with the chains, now it is the waiting game and trapping someone.

This time the scene at the battlefield is quite different due to the none-crushing-core end, massive chains have wrapped itself around The End, Multiple cracks sounds followed with new chains replacing the cracked ones.

“ I win.. Kiana.. ”

The end.. or you should say Kiana the end, she didn’t reply instead is trying to break the chains that’s limiting her.

“ You.. are not Khalique… this is her power . . . Who are you?!”

“ ..I borrowed her body…? ”

“ Khalique.. won’t like this.. ”

“ Apparently I agreed to that idea. ”

A ghostly figure joins in.

“ Even a herrscher needs a break here and there Kiana. ” 

“ But.. ”

“ I agreed on that, plus it is fun to watch their journey. ”

Khalique waves her hand and the chains break into cubes floating around the duo.

“ Admit your defeat Kiana in many of this timeline there’s some ending where humanity won against you. ”

“ l see.. What about our god? ”

“ Oh Father? Just tell him I'm taking a break from his crazy-honkai-related-plan. ”

( Translation: IM FIXING THE TIMELINE YOU FUCKED UP DAD )

“ Honkai has a gender? ”

“ Nah i just called him Father and he accepted it. ”

In reality Khalique called Honkai Mother before father and annoyed the hell out of Honkai who decided to let Khalique call them Father.

“ ‘The savior of humanity and Jingwei’s wedding’ huh? ”

Khalique smirked at you who’s in a dress/suit, embarrassed you turned your head to the opposite side.

Anyway you didn’t expect they would make this big of a wedding. Moreover Khalique will represent the priest.

The wedding’s decorations are finished ahead of time thanks to Khalique who just makes everything out of honkai with a casual face as if she did this before, the music is on, guests here and there.

Yet you are panicking in the dressing room while the person who’s responsible for putting your slight makeup on just stands there and watches you walking back and forth.

“ Do I look good??? Nooo! What if I accidentally trip by the carpet while walking?! ”

“ (Y/n)~ are you re- ”

*BAM!*

Apparently you slam the door the moment it opens and now we have a hurt Khalique who’s holding her face on the floor and a panicking (h/c).

“ Auhhhh…Fuhak hehhh! ”

( Translation: ahhh…ducking hell! )

“ Do i…. Call the ambulance..? ”

“ NH! WH HAUH A WEHDING GUHING ON! ”

( no! We have a wedding going on! ” )

Soo after that short accident in the dressing room the wedding went on without a accident.

“ Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join this man/woman and this woman in holy matrimony. ”

“ Fu Hua, do you take this woman to be your wife, to live together in holy matrimony, to love them, to honor them, to comfort them, and to keep them in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"

“ I do. ”

“ (y/n) , do you take this woman to be your wife, to live together in (holy) matrimony, to love her, to honor her, to comfort her, and to keep her in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"

“ I-l do. ”

Then follows with nothing.

“ you know what? I'm tired of saying the same full line for every Kaslanas’s wedding and now yours? ”

“ JUST SAY THE LINE! ”

A person yelled.

“ You may kiss the bride! ”

Then you are suddenly pulled over by Fu Hua.

*Clap clap!*

Khalique quickly walks away from the crowds of people who begin to swarm around the new marriage couple, she holds out the glowing light blue paper which it breaks to cubes and disappears.

*theoretically* if someone wanted to, they could do a quick recolour or mesh edit, include the mesh, and undermine a lot of these grifting "creators" pay schemes right? like cc tou doesn't supercede EAs... asking for a friend

Now I haven’t read the entire new TOU yet, so don’t take my word for gospel esp since some of these folks will absolutely harass you over their umpteenth crop top, but from what I remember seeing, I think it’s like the UGC or something that basically says once it’s out there, and as long as it’s specifically for use in a EA game, any TOU of any creator is basically null so long as it still follows EA’s TOU, like you can’t then turn around and put that modified mesh/texture behind a permapaywall yourself.

Pretty sure this is how and why we all did shit like we did in The Sims 3, our hairs always included the meshes bc a lotta times they were pay, and we were all getting it off of Booty anyway.

Now there will be people who will dispute this, tossing around “legal documents” like hall passes or whatever, and I remember a couple rlly annoying ones in The Sims 3 community who were mass reporting one of my fav retexturers, and getting all their files deleted without even allowing them to fight for it, which is hilarious bc they eventually had a tantrum and skipped out on the community anyway, I guess bc they felt slighted with everyone retexturing their hairs or whatever, even though these people weren’t doing anything like reselling it behind their back, which interestingly enough I’ve seen happen a lot more in The Sims 4 community, yet here we are…

Honestly with how I’m always having to bring someone’s permapaywalled nonsense into S4S to do the most basic adjustments whether it be adding swatches ( bc 10$/mo for a few swatches rlly ??? ) or cleaning the textures up in general, replacing speculars, or making it so other sims won’t think my sim is NEKKID, like truly basic shit they themselves could’ve done, I probably would be plenty alright with just tossing it out there for others to use if they asked tbh, bc this behavior is getting outta hand, and I should NOT be having to spend the majority of my off time fixing shit people are asking me to pay for first.

Hey, can I get some writing advice?

So, after you come up with a story idea what do you do next?

Do you brainstorm for that story? Or make a character profile?

Because I have a story idea and idk what to do next. I read about it and they say to brainstorm but then I'm like "how am I going to right if I don't know who I'm writing? " But then I feel like I'm not doing it correctly.

I know it sounds silly but I would really appreciate some help. 🙏

So, I had to think about this one for a while, because the way I write has changed so much over the years. What I've put together is more geared towards how I used to write when I was developing my skills.

Without further ado, here's my official advice.

The most important thing you can do is realize that not everything you write is gold, and that's fine. Never compare your unedited draft to someone else's published work.

As C.J. Cherryh once said:

"It's perfectly okay to write garbage - as long as you edit it brilliantly."

Be consistent about writing and keep going, even on the days when you're not getting very far. Even on days when you know your writing sucks, write anyways. (They made the delete button for a reason. Go make your mistakes, and cover up the evidence as you see fit.) Forming the habit of writing regularly is what turns you into a writer more than anything.

Step #1: Pre-Writing

When I first get a story idea, I take time to daydream about it. Letting my mind wander is usually the best thing to do in these moments. At first, I don’t take any notes. I just like to see what sticks. If the idea drifts away, I assume it wasn’t meant to be and move on. If it sticks around and keeps circling back, then I know it’s a thread I probably should start spinning. 

Next, I like to do concept maps. The quick diagram with bubbles and arrows that show relationships helps me organize things in a simple manner. This step usually helps me enlarge the plot and figure out what I need and what’s extraneous. 

The most important thing about prewriting is to make sure your story has a solid conflict and at least four parts. These four parts are: 

Introduction

Inciting Incident

Immediate Reaction

Reaction

If these conditions seem to be fulfilled I begin writing.

Step #2: Writing

Step two is writing. Here, I’ve found the best thing to do is write while the idea is hot. This is when I do my best writing, when the emotion is fresh and my mood is just right. However… I usually have an amazing writing day about once every two years. So, I have to do what most mere mortals do. I sit down at my desk, put my hands on the keyboard, and demand of myself that I at least produce 200 words. Once I’ve hit that mark there’s usually some momentum going, which makes the next 200 words much easier.

This is where I write the first four chapters, which are what I listed out above. The introduction, the inciting incident, the character’s immediate reaction, their considered reaction after they’ve had their “off the cuff” reaction, and then I stop. 

Here, it’s good to take a step back and look at what you’ve written. Does the story have enough conflict? How does your character sound and feel? Are you enjoying yourself? I think writing four chapters should be enough to identify if you’ve got a story or if you need to develop the idea a bit more.

Step #3: Developmental Editing

Whatever the answers to those questions are, I usually do some developmental editing at this point. I might not finish the story, but it’s always good to flex your creative muscles and see if you can fix something that’s flawed. 

To develop an idea, I rely on story structure. There are a lot of good resources out there for structure. My first experience with structure was from the 27 scene outline. 

In my opinion, this is a great way to learn how to form a coherent plot. It’s very exact in laying out the story beats a writer needs to hit. That said, it’s also very constraining. I used this to learn how to form a narrative, but since then I’ve become more flexible with my story structures. 

Other plot structures I’ve enjoyed using are the beat sheet from “Save the Cat,” as well as four act structure, and six act structure. Each of these presentations of a story structure has its strengths and weaknesses, so figuring out what methods appeal to your style and what doesn’t work, is very useful. For short fiction there’s a thing called the “seven point” structure which I often refer to even now. Short fiction is not among my strengths… so I have to work harder at it than I would a novel. 

Another great resource for developmental editing is the YouTube channel run by Ellen Brock. She’s an editor and posts really informative videos about things like what type of writer are you, which is a very useful thing to understand when you're trying to write. She also has a phenomenal story structure series that’s one of the best I’ve come across. 

If you’re struggling, turn to other sources of inspiration. For myself, I like to read about the craft of writing. It's always good to remember that inspiration comes and goes, but skills can earn you an income. My book recommendations would be:

How to Write Dazzling Dialogue - James Scott Bell 

On Writing - Stephen King

Lastly, always remember this quote from Ray Bradburry:

“Write a short story every week. It's not possible to write 52 bad short stories in a row.”
