Today I am 11 months clean of bulimia :) I never thought this would happen, but I am so happy it did. I am so graitful for this positive change in my life, and I'm so excited for one year :)))
I never thought id be able to recover but here i am :)) recovered from bulimia and anorexia. It's so possible :)
So we are back to day one of recovery. I stopped therapy, it was just too expensive and I just could not do it finically. I start on Monday, so this is a whirlwind of emotions and nerves but I need to put in the work. I was b/p free for an entire year! 365 days then I lost it. So I need to get back to it. I had energy, I was happy, I was happy. I felt pure happiness. So here to accountability. I can do it
Eating disorders are serious mental health conditions that can cause a range of physical and emotional symptoms. Indicators of eating disorders include the following:
Restricting food intake: This may involve severely limiting the amount or type of food consumed, skipping meals, or fasting.
2. Binge eating: This entails consuming a lot of food quickly and is frequently accompanied by a sense of helplessness.
Purging: This may involve self-induced vomiting, the use of laxatives or diuretics, or excessive exercise to compensate for overeating or to lose weight.
Obsessive thinking about food, weight, and body image: People with eating disorders often think about food and their body image obsessively, and may constantly check their weight or body measurements.
Distorted body image: People with eating disorders may see themselves as overweight or unattractive, even when they are underweight or at a healthy weight.
Social withdrawal: Eating disorders can cause people to become isolated and avoid social situations that involve food.
Changes in mood: People with eating disorders may experience depression, anxiety, and irritability.
Physical symptoms: Eating disorders can cause a range of physical symptoms, including fatigue, dizziness, fainting, low blood pressure, and irregular heartbeat.
It's important to note that not everyone with an eating disorder will experience all of these symptoms, and some symptoms may be more severe than others. If you or someone you know is experiencing symptoms of an eating disorder, it's important to seek professional help. TalkToAngel offers online counseling services for people struggling with eating disorders and other mental health issues.
like a paper doll
i’m trimming and
thinning myself to
fit paper dresses,
less is
more, and i love
myself more when
i’m less, i’m weight-
less,
i strive to be
light. highlight
my collarbones with
shadow and
hide in their pits
i don’t think i’ll get
lower than this,
than these
nights knelt on
tiles that crack under
my weight,
my face
framed in porcelain,
reaching
inside myself
‘til i’m…

Sooo I’m at my highest weight in recovery after a year almost in a couple of weeks. I just feel like if I lost at 30lbs I would be good or even 40 because I wouldn’t even be at my lowest weight. I would be around 110. I just feel so much better if I were to lose at least 30lbs and be in the 115 range. 150 is not it for me. I was almost 160… so I think if I don’t act on my purges or binges I should be good. Right? Ugh this is so difficult. I have weddings in November with judgmental people and Hawaii in March. Maybe if I lose it slowly it’ll be good. We shall see
