#done a really taxing exam period
Note
May I ask why you are posting less frequently?? Just wondering, as I noticed.
Yes, you may ask! No worries. For nearly two years now I've made it a goal of mine to keep the queue full come hell and high water. That is still the goal. As you probably know, I added a couple more mods to the team to help keep up with rising numbers, but life tends to Happen and for a while there it was happening to all of us at once. I did my best to keep things running and the others helped out when I couldn't, but I'm sure there was still a noticeable slowdown for a little while there.
As for this week...well, on the irl side things got a bit much even for me to keep up with. But I'm aiming to have it back up and running at a much more normal pace! Just as soon as I get a little more adjusted to the new circumstances. This little corner of the internet is a thing I'm still very invested in the upkeep of, and it pains me to see the queue at zero - but it hopefully won't happen again. If it does, though, know that I am looking forward to the earliest possible time I can post more frequently again. Hope that clears some things up!

+act Magazine January 2024 Issue ft. Hirakawa Yuzuki Interview (translation below)
Publication: December 12, 2023
Hirakawa Yuzuki plays the immovable Rita Kaniska (PapillonOhger) in the Super Sentai series "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger." In her first appearance in this magazine, she says that while her first priority is to complete this role, there are also things she wants to accomplish next.
"When did you first become interested in acting?"
Hirakawa: It wasn't until I joined my agency that I first became interested. Until then, I was attending a business high school in Kumamoto, my hometown, and wanted to become either a tax accountant or a certified public accountant in the future. Around that time, I learned about the "LDH Presents THE GIRLS AUDITION" and I told my parents, "I should enter like it's a commemorative entrance exam.*" I won the Grand Prix in the vocal and dance category, not the acting category. However, it wasn't until I joined the agency that I tried singing, dancing and acting genuinely. So, it was abit embarrassing being told that I was the Grand Prix winner in the vocal and dance category. (*exams taken for schools you have little to no chance of getting into)
"Your first performance was in a stage play."
Hirakawa: It was in "Moryo no Hako" starring Tachibana Kenchi-san. The play was set where the curtains rise on a scene between me and another girl, and I was so nervous that it caused my stomach to hurt every day. Once I said a few words on stage, I was okay, but until then…I guess that once I got on stage, I felt like I had no choice. But, until I was offstage, my heart would be pounding like crazy.
"Did the fact that it was your first time on stage, and your first performance, have a big impact on you?"
Hirakawa: I always thought that if I broke the tempo of the play in the first scene, things would become out of sync. Even during rehearsals I was told, "The beginning is important. It determines the quality of the performance." That's kind of scary. It's a big responsibility. But, I think they trained me well on that stage.
"What did you find interesting about the stage?"
Hirakawa: I always took lessons with two or three people at most, so more than anything, I enjoyed creating a production together with many people. I also thought it was fun to be with my dependable and kind seniors all the way through the rehearsal period, and that they started to feel like friends.
"Were there any memorable words that were said to you during rehearsals for the play or on the stage itself?"
Hirakawa: They'd say "Just try things out for now." I think I tend to worry about what other people think of me. If I think that I have to do something, I focus on only that. Still, I was told, "Just give it your all for now. It'll be easy to control things from there." This is often said on the set of the Sentai series that I'm currently performing in.
"Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger, right?"
Hirakawa: Their keyword is "Immovable," and I do what I can within that context and to "just give things a try." If I really deviate from the character, the Director will get me back on track.
"Have you seen any other Sentai productions?"
Hirakawa: When I was little, I watched "Tom and Jerry." I haven't really watched the previous series. In middle and high school, I was either doing practice lessons, club activities, eating meals, or sleeping (laughs).
"What kind of programs do you currently watch?"
Hirakawa: Since I started working, because I have alot to learn, I've been watching various things. I've only been alive for 22 years, so there are many things that I don't know. I'm learning about these experiences as I watch these works. What have I been watching…I really can't remember (laughs).
"(laughs). How do you remember your lines?"
Hirakawa: One of my strong points is memorizing things, but I'm the type of person who (intentionally) forgets them immediately (laughs). When they say, "We're done filming this scene," I instantly forget about it. So, I don't really remember much. Recently however, at the recommendation of a co star in King-Ohger, I watched the entirety of "Heaven and Hell: 2 Psychos," starring Ayase Haruka-san.
"Were you interested in Ayase-san and Takahashi Issei-san's personality changing performances?"
Hirakawa: It was interesting to see how the two of them came to know each other through swapping bodies. I also experienced performing a body swap in King-Ohger. Before we filmed it, it was recommended to me with, "This show, it's got body swapping," so I learned alot from it.
"For Rita, did they have the keyword "Immovable" from the beginning?"
Hirakawa: Since my role is that of the International Chief Judge, the words "always neutral" were there from the audition stage. When I was reading the script before filming started, the Director said to me, "Rita is Immovable. That's it." It doesn't mean that they shouldn't move, but that they're unwavering. I was also told, "There may not be much movement, but it holds various meanings. Please be extremely immovable this year." That's why even now, I'm looking for things I can do within being "immovable."
"What did you do at the audition?"
Hirakawa: It was an audition for two roles, the yellow Hymeno Ran, and Rita, who I'm playing. I played both roles in the first round, but when I entered the second round, in terms of her character, I thought, "I'm definitely not Hymeno." From there, I went after Rita.
"Did you feel any similarity between Rita and yourself?"
Hirakawa: I thought I could create something close to the calm and dignified feeling of the character. I'm also pretty tall (166 cm, 5'5"), so I thought that the darker color would also suit me in terms of image. Actually, I had auditioned for the Sentai series and Kamen Rider series multiple times, but most of the roles I've gone for up until now have been for the heroine. So, I thought it wasn't really suited for it. But, with Rita I thought, "That's definitely me." I was pretty enthusiastic, thinking that if I missed out on Rita, I wouldn't get a role like this for about four or five years. And then, until I started working in this industry, I hated my voice.
"But it's an attractive voice, with a deep bassy tone."
Hirakawa: When I finished my first performance, many people said to me, "Your voice is really nice." Do the people around me see this voice as my weapon? Rita's words are very persuasive, or rather, have weight to them. I knew from the audition that I could use my voice in this role. However, since filming started in King-Ohger, I felt that my voice has become even lower. I was trying to make my voice sound deeper, but I ended up sounding lower than usual (laughs). I might be stuck with this low voice. Maybe it'll go back to normal once this role ends.
"What do you currently find interesting about performing?"
Hirakawa: Rita only keeps their left eye visible, right? However, there's a limit to what can be expressed with just the eyes. They're a character that doesn't move that much and doesn't laugh. Things like the inflection and intensity of my lines and how they're conveyed are different from how it's been in the past. Still, by experiencing this kind of role, I feel that the range of my expressions have expanded in slightly different directions. I think I'm lucky.
"What kind of roles would you like to play in the future?"
Hirakawa: In episode 38 of King-Ohger, I performed with my face showing, but I was embarrassed since it had been awhile. A year ago, I would've been able to do it normally, so first of all, I'd like to "reset" that (laughs). I don't have much of a funny role now, so I'd like to play more energetic roles. Also, I want to wear a uniform! I want to be in a school story. It doesn't matter if I'm a class president, a bully, or some kid with a depressed personality. I just want to wear a uniform (laughs). I definitely want to make that happen. But for now, my first priority is to finish King-Ohger. It's been a year, and I think the real battle afterwards will be letting go of Rita and returning to Hirakawa Yuzuki.

Fasting Notes 9/5/23
Feel really bad after eating because none of it even tasted that good. My brain keeps thinking food tastes good so I go get some, but when I start eating I realize how much my cravings have actually changed. Like my brain can't keep up with my taste buds & stomach. I think my stomach has gotten smaller bc I got nauseous eating so much, but I didn't want to waste it bc I just went out and bought it. The idea of food is 100% better than the reality which is just feeling sick and disappointed. I need something that will actually make me feel as satisfied as my brain thinks it will so there's no regret. Like going to the gym or doing homework.
11 hrs in - getting out of class is such a trigger for me, I used to enjoy getting food or snacks after class as a reward for going, but now it just feels silly bc that's like doing the bare minimum, just sitting then getting up lmao. Plus exams are stressful and it feels like I need a food reward but that's crazy tbh.
16 hrs in - out of my afternoon class and feeling a little shaky but I get to go home now and be in my own environment so that's good. About to start my period so that's not helping but I want to push myself for this. Going to stop by the store to get some energy drinks, will drink water and herbal tea this afternoon. Really dehydrated. Also I avoided free donuts so yay! It helped that they just ran out with everyone else getting them so there was none left anyway :)
18.5 hrs in - hunger actually just kinda went away, I just need to change my habits/ cues and I think losing weight will be so much easier and less mentally taxing.
22-23 hrs in - had a severe mental breakdown but my bestie offered to cook dinner bc I am clearly not doing well, at least this is almost done but I don't even feel like eating now. I just have a very fuzzy/ dizzy head feeling. This would be so much easier if I didn't procrastinate my assignments so honestly just another reason to NOT procrastinate anymore bc it really does make everything SO MUCH HARDER to deal with.

I have been working on my CT exam for 2 days when it is a 24h exam and will be forced to lie to get away with it and I'm STILL not done
I am so fucking frustrated
I am also fucking afraid. I have been overdoing Vyvanse and other drugs for this exam period (also sent in P exam 3 days late) and won't really have much recovery time let alone prep time to actually manage school, work, social life, sleep, exercise, cleaning, eating, duties to parents, dating, volunteering like a healthy human being
I have no clue how I will be able to get it all done
let alone my big dream of financial independence, building 3 cool businesses, hyper-competence as a tax lawyer, finding true love, and having true friends
on the bright side I panicked only once and am still able to self manage but my frustration and dissapointment and fear of undoing all my psych progress is kind of getting to me ; especially because my house is messy and I haven't exercised in a month which feels horrible. I deserve so much better treatment. another horrible thing is I haven't been eating well at all and spent probably 300$ on uber eats leaving me likely in debt which is HORRIBLE nightmare because I don't want to owe my parents anything. it's so bad already that they are paying for school and living costs.
another good thing is the ability to reflect from rejection and bounce back EVEN in times of stress.
I hope ill finish the exam in a few hours -- ill let you know bc I am worried about triggering a helplessness spiral based in my ZERO experience

YOY CAN’T MAKE THIS STUFF UP
WF THOUGHTS (6/30/22).
I always get a big laugh when a big company makes a big mistake. When smart companies make mistakes, I feel better about my own mistakes.
Today, I got a huge laugh at the expense of a huge company called Ernst & Young. EY is the seventh largest privately owned organization in the world. It has 312,000 employees. They're spread out over 700 offices in 150 countries. EY is mammoth!
The mistake made by EY is particularly hysterical because they're in the business of mistake avoidance. They're an accounting firm. They're supposed to pay attention to details. Their job is to make sure their clients avoid mistakes on their taxes and in their financial transactions.
Financial auditing is a big part of the business at EY. Most companies have an internal accounting department that prepares its tax returns and regular financial statements that summarize the overall financial health of the company. Periodically, the companies need to prove that the work done by its regular accounting team is 100% correct. Such verification is necessary for for a variety of business reasons. To prove that they're not "cooking" their books, companies hire an independent accounting firm to do a financial audit. The auditing firm does a meticulous review of the company's financial statements and it issues a statement about the accuracy of those financial statements. The audit is only useful if the auditing firm itself has impeccable credentials. EY makes a ton of money doing financial audits. It's one of the top four auditing firms in the world. People hire EY to do audits because EY has impeccable credentials. If EY says that the financial statements of a company are accurate, the world believes that the financial statements are accurate.
Let me rephrase the prior sentence. UNTIL TODAY, if EY said that the financial statements of company were accurate, the world believed that the financial statements were accurate. Everything changed today. EY got caught in a big mistake.
It was just reported that a large number of EY auditors, the folks who are supposed to verify the honesty of financial statements, got caught cheating on their periodic licensing exam. Isn't that really, really, funny? The integrity folks got caught cheating.
Wait. There are more laughs in this story. The cheating came to light when the testing agency was reviewing the results of the ethics portion of the exam. Yes, the integrity people even cheated on the ethics questions. You can't make this stuff up. Doesn't it sound like something from a comedy spoof?
Because it is involved with public companies and financial transactions, EY is regulated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Ready for more laughs? EY lied to the SEC when it was asked about the cheating. Even though its internal gatekeepers had seen signs of cheating, EY told the SEC that it was unaware of any cheating. The auditors were not the only dishonest people at EY! Now everyone at EY is pointing their finger at everyone else. It's like something out of "The Three Stooges."
I'm sure the top management at EY isn't laughing. The SEC levied a $100 million fine against the firm. It's the largest fine ever imposed on an accounting firm. On top of that, EY will probably lose a very significant portion of its auditing business. Who is going to believe an audit from a firm that cheats? If an audit can't be believed, it's useless. If clients want a useable audit, I'm sure they'll take their business elsewhere.
I'm still giggling as I write this. When is the last time a bunch of accountants made you laugh? I guess if you look long enough you can find humor anywhere. Thanks, EY. You made my day.

How much does my dental insurance plan cover?
The sufferer is obviously responsible with regard to the balance
Tumblr media
Numerous patients with dental insurance feel they are usually well covered whenever they go to the dentist. They are quite surprised when that they find out they have got to pay a lot more than expected or even for the whole treatment even with their insurance policy coverage. Most individuals are well informed through their organization within the basics included, cleanings, x-rays, fillings, etc . Since it is ultimately typically the patient's responsibility to pay the ultimate balance, it's some sort of good idea to be able to know the actual details behind coverage inside most cases. Considering that I am mainly experienced with PPO dental insurance, We will give a summary of information for the cases I've encounter. Each plan is unique and you should understand your prepare completely. I am hoping my article will at least help a person ask the correct questions when you are encountered with these scenarios or thinking regarding purchasing dental insurance. Dental Insurance Features Yearly Maximum : This the entire amount your insurance company will a significant checks to your own provider during a 12 month time period, if you have got a $1500 highest keep in mind that mean you can step out and get two treatments for $750 each. Your insurance addresses a percentage of each treatment, these people will continue to pay on accepted treatments until they reach the highest within the period allowed. The advantage year doesn't usually run from Dec to January, a person should be aware of when your own coverage year stops in order to coordinate your remedies punctually and not necessarily loose all of your annual benefits. Remember, in case you don't use your maximum, a person loose it. Some plans allow a separate maximum intended for orthodontic treatments. Allowable - This is usually a yearly charge paid by you and must be met before your insurance starts paying your current treatment claims. This is generally collected by the dental office during your go to. Know what your personal and family deductible is. In case you are some sort of family of several you deductible is $150, each family member will probably pay $50, until the $150 is met. Almost all plans do not really require you in order to pay this tax deductible during your initial diagnostic and preventative pay a visit to (routine cleaning, x-rays, exams), but any time you have an actual treatment done. Frequency limitations - This can be the number regarding times you might have a certain procedure done during your coverage year. Many ideas allow 2 cleanings each year. You must really understand whether or not you can have got 2 cleanings "anytime" during the year or specifically six months apart. In case for almost any reason a person were to visit the dentist as well as in fewer than 6 weeks visit a different dentist and still have a cleaning done. You may get that surprise statement in typically the mail to pay for a check out. Co-Pay - This is a comfusing subject for many patients, they usually comfuse co-pay together with deductible. Co-Pay is usually the percentage of the orthodontic treatment you share inside of paying with your current dental plan, in case something costs $465.21 along with your plan covers 80%, you pay out $20 and they will pay $80. This is essential that will you locate a dental care office that certainly not only accepts nevertheless is contracted along with your insurance company. Some sort of contracted dentist agrees to accept the particular plan's discounted charge schedule which translates to savings for an individual. By visiting a been infected with dentist, your annually maximum covers even more treatments. A non-contracted dentist usually gets paid based on his usual plus customary fees (UCR). Even if you have a very full understanding of the items over, sometimes you happen to be encountered with additional wants, let's take the look at various other situations that are likely to occur regarding particular treatments: FILLINGS : Many plans will not pay for all composite fillings, that they downgrade any fillings done on backside (back) teeth to be able to Amalgam (black/metal) contents. If the insurance plan covers 80% of fillings, your co-pay is 20% of the Amalgam payment and you are generally also responsible for the difference in charges between the a couple of types of contents. Generally, an insurance company will pay to get a filling in the same the teeth every two many years. Obviously, this does not apply in the event you change insurance companies, but if you act like you recently got a new filling and it broke 1 month later for whatever reason, imagine what, you're spending money for it unless you possess a good, trustworthy, dentist which is inclined to repeat that at no charge. CROWNS BEFORE PLACEMENT- Many strategies have what these people call "prior placement", this means that will should your crown is to replace the existing crown, they need to know when typically the existing crown has been put into your oral cavity. The insurance firm will not pay for a better crown if the existing one is less than 5 yrs old. If typically the original crown has been done at the different dentist office, the doctor will depend on your statement associated with when you think had originally been done plus notify the insurance policy company. Many ideas will only purchase a certain type of crown (metal, porcelain over metal). If you need a cosmetic rated product, such as complete ceram Zirconia capped teeth, you will be responsible for your co-pay in addition to the difference inside the product charge. BRIDGE MISSING TOOTH CLAUSE - Let's take a say years before you needed a teeth extracted and you left that identify open because you could hardly afford a link or implant. At this point you have dental insurance, you're excited and also you go to notice your dentist, most likely finally likely to possess a bridge put to fill of which gap right?, well, I hate in order to burst your bubble but if your current insurance plan contains a missing tooth offer, it means that if the tooth was not necessarily extracted within the last 6th months, they may not authorize your current claim for the connect and you may be responsible for typically the entire treatment. https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/australian-health-services/20150725/smiles-in-currambine/services/currambine-6028-10-chesapeake-way ! Waiting Period - Many insurance plans have got a waiting time period on major providers, how much times may differ, but what this means is for a period of time, your insurance will simply pay for diagnostic, preventative and basic services (x-ray, cleaning, exam, fillings). An individual can only employ your insurance regarding major services (crown, bridge, etc) after you've had the plan for a period of occasion. You need to be mindful of this if you rush out to acquire insurance because you need immediate major services, simply to always be disappointed with these kinds of a small declaration.

Kazuha's Wise and Whimsical Words
Kaedehara Kazuha X Reader
A/N: aaaa 💕anon ily!! being emotional is completely fine and I would be honoured to become of your good friends!! I will be a part of your life, private message me if you're ever feeling down! I just want my readers happy because they make me happy aaaaaa 🥺
with that being said, i love this request! My parents were so hard on me when it came to exams, but as soon as I broke away from their expectations, I started to appreciate my grades more. I'll leave the real comforting words for Kazuha to say but NO ONE SHOULD EVER be disappointed in yourself if you tried your best. Thank you for your support and the request, I hope the story makes you feel better. Enjoy!
ps: I took into account the fact that not everyone has a mother and a father and not everyone has two parents at all, so only one parent is mentioned here and they are left gender neutral so it's easier to picture yourself in the story.
┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈❀┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
"(Y/N). This is not at all what I expected. What happened to you?" Your parent asked sternly.
"Well, I--"
"I don't want to hear any excuses. Your predicted grades were much higher than this!" They said, raising their voice.
"I'm sorry, I--"
"Sorry is not going to improve your results! Do you really think that now is a good time to be slacking off? You have one more exam period before university. I don't care if you pass those exams, I want you to excel. And if you don't, you are not attending Sumeru Academia, whether they accept you or not. I am not paying for you to study overseas, only for you to get mediocre grades." They said, making you even more anxious than before the exam.
"But I got above the average!"
"By two percent! And the average was low." Your parent said, narrowing their eyes slightly and upsetting you with their belittling gaze.
"Realistically--"
"Realistically? Realistically?! If you want to study realistically, you should find someone else to pay for your education. When you want to study successfully, you can come back." They slammed the stack of sheets that displayed your results on the table with a loud bang before folding their arms as you grabbed a jacket and stormed out of the house, tears running down your face.
You walked for a while in the night, before eventually finding yourself in an area you were less familiar with. After recognising it to be somewhere near your boyfriend's current residence off Beidou's ship, you made a beeline for his place, knocking on the door and hoping, praying he would be alone inside.
The door soon opened and Kazuha stood there, initially with a smile on his face but it soon dropped when he saw your expression.
"(Y/N)? What happened?" He asked.
"C-can I come inside?" You sniffled.
"Of course, Love. Come in." He said, ushering you into his quaint little place. You stood by the door that closed behind you before Kazuha pushed the coat you had lazily draped over your shoulder onto the floor and enveloped you in his arms.
You broke down in his embrace. You had done better than most of your fellow students, and frankly, you were kind of proud of your result. But it was foolish of you to think that your parent would accept anything but perfection. They said it was all for you, but you were doubting it. Did you even want to go to Sumeru Academia? You had had your heart set on it since you were a child, but maybe that was only because your folks always envisioned you going there.
"Why are you crying, my love?" Kazuha asked, sitting you down near the fire to warm you up and standing up to get you a blanket and a hot cup of tea.
"I'm not good enough." You mumbled. If it was anyone else, they wouldn't have heard you. But your boyfriend could listen to the wind "talk" - he was very attuned to quiet and subtle noises.
"Nonsense." He smiled, bringing you the blanket as you listened to the water boil in the background.
"You're more than good enough. Everyone who knows you adores you - no one more than me, of course." Kazuha chuckled, eventually setting down two cups of tea and sitting in front of you on the floor.
"Public opinion won't improve my grades." You said, now more stoic than upset. You had almost become numb and desensitised to degrading comments that after you cried a little and calmed down, you'd be straight-faced and almost emotionless. It didn't feel good, but it was certainly better than feeling bad.
"So this is about school." Kazuha nodded, gesturing for you to continue explaining why had happened.
"They keep talking about my grades. They said I shouldn't be slacking and that I'm not going to get to Sumeru Academia and that they want me to do better...maybe I'm interpreting it wrong. Maybe they're trying to encourage me?" You wondered aloud, thinking that somehow you were the problem. As soon as you said "they", Kazuha knew who you are referring to and sighed.
"Encouragement and doubt are two very different things. Unrealistic expectations, detrimental practices, emotionally, mentally or physically taxing improvement - none of that is going to help you. In fact, it'll make you feel worse. When you really think about what you have to do to achieve perfection, you'll only realise how unattainable it is. You'll fall into a perpetual spiral of intellectual destruction." Kazuha said.
"Then how the hell am I gonna get the best results?" You asked worriedly.
"You won't. No one will ever get the best results because more people and more previously unforeseen factors will come into play. What you can achieve is your best results. Your grades are a product of you, not the other way around. They are no measure of your worth, they cannot define you, and they do not have to be a part of you. If you don't ace one subject, you don't have to hang on to that or turn it into some strange part of you. You can't cling to it, it's impossible to cling to a piece of the past forever. That's not to say you don't learn from it, but it doesn't need to become some villainous trait - in the end, it is only a grade." Kazuha shield at you. His words warmed your heart more than the fire or tea, and they even seemed to dry your tears and allow you to mirror his expression.
"And at the very least, you can hold your head high knowing that you had the strength to participate in an exam when not everyone does. You went in, sat through it, attempted the questions and walked out. Not everyone has the courage to stay; some don't even have the courage to start. That goes for any endeavour you face." Kazuha said, before inching closer to you.
"Feeling any better?" He asked. You nodded instantly. Of course, Kazuha's wise and whimsical words had bettered your mood, it was Kazuha for Archon's sake.
"Good. Maybe we could go for an evening stroll? I'll treat you to dinner if you haven't eaten." He offered.
"Can...can we just stay like this for a little longer? I think being alone with you is nicer." You smiled.
"Of course, Angel. Anything you want."
┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈❀┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
this was less physical fluff than I intended, but I think I do comfort with direct words and dialogue best, so I hope this is okay. honestly, everything kasha said is what I would've wished to hear when I was in this situation. I'll probably post a rant about my own exam experiences because this request got all my past feelings to resurface.
thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed!

Relieving Their Sleepy Stiffy~
~A Mini Fic Collection~
(Feat. Eijirou Kirishima, Denki Kaminari, and Katsuki Bakugou)
Tumblr media
Summary: self-explanatory really
Words: approx. 1k per character; 3.3k total
Rating: 🌊 Explicit, Smut
Warnings: somnophilia, oral (giving), hand job (giving), humping/grinding, the ruining of clothes with pre-cum 🤪
-------------------------🌼-------------------------
Eijirou Kirishima – Stiff Muscle Massage
You and Kirishima had both passed out on the bed after coming back home from an intense workout at the gym. Usually the two of you would make protein smoothies and watch a bit of reality TV but something about that new leg workout really took a toll on you both. You had been asleep for about 30 minutes before waking up next to a still sleeping Kirishima. Tracing your fingers along his bare chest, you admired his well-formed pectoral and ab muscles. He really had to have had the best body of all the previous boyfriends you’d been with.
As you placed your head on his chest, you continued to trace along his stomach, his body subconsciously twitching due to touching him in ticklish areas. Your eyes started to feel heavy again at his peaceful heartbeat before you saw something intriguing through your fuzzy vision. It seemed not everything of Kirishima’s body was sore and drained from the recent workout.
You giggled at him before sliding your body down so your head was now resting on his thigh, right beside his pitched tent. Softly petting over his clothed length, you placed soft kisses on his hips and thigh. His soft grunts egged you on, so you got on your forearms and laid your torso right between his legs. You hovered over his crotch, letting your hot breath warm him underneath.
“Does my baby need a post-workout massage?” You placed pecks over his clothed hardness as your fingers traced him up and down. “I’ll take care of you, Kiri~”. Sucking over his pants, you let your saliva soak through the fabric, causing Kirishima’s cock to grow stiffer by the increasing wetness. You grazed your teeth over him admiring the sleepy whimpers he made from above. Eventually you were able to taste the salty pre-cum seeping through his pants which let you know it was time for the next stage.
You slowly pulled down his pants, stopping whenever it seemed like he was about to wake up. He worked so hard today so you wanted to make sure he was completely relaxed through his oral massage. When you were able to lower his pants enough, his cock sprung free and bounced against his abs, already shining with your saliva and his pre-cum. You took the base of his cock between your thumb and middle finger and glided your tongue up and down his shaft. You made sure he stayed asleep by pausing when his groans got too loud.
Periodically keeping your eyes on his face, you took his tip in your mouth and slithered the bottom of your tongue over his slit. You felt the vein in his cock bulge against your thumb and you let out little moans to create stimulating vibrations. When it seemed his body got used to those movements, you lowered your head letting the tip of his cock graze against the back of your throat. He was a little big but after much practice you were able to take more and more of him in your mouth without gagging. Judging by the moans leaving him, it seemed he appreciated that.
Pretty soon, Kirishima’s cock was smothered in your saliva as you bobbed your head up and down. You swept the hair out of your face, becoming entranced by his throbbing cock and harsh grunts. You tasted more of his pre-cum filling your mouth and the taste made you feel wet underneath your shorts. But you wanted to focus primarily on your tired boyfriend so you left your underwear to collect your horny essences for now. Becoming so entranced with Kirishima’s meaty cock, you didn’t notice him waking up until you felt his hands caressing your head.
“Whatcha doin, babe?” His voice was raspy from his groggy state as he lifted his head to get a better view. His voice seemed to resonate through his cock and you felt the vibrations on your tongue. You popped his cock out of your mouth to which his face twitched at the feeling.
“I’m giving you a post-workout massage.” You licked and sucked at his frenulum. His eyes squinted at the intense pleasure on the area. “Do you feel good?”
Before letting him properly answer, you sunk his cock back in your mouth, letting yourself deep throat him. Constricting your throat muscles, you made sure he could get the same feelings as being inside your tight pussy. If not better. You breathed through your nose as you swallowed his cock to the base, sticking out your tongue so that its tip gently tickled over his balls.
“F-fuck yeah, babe. Feels fucking amazing…” His fingers gripped gently at your hair as he savored in your athletic tongue. “Please don’t stop. Fuck!”
Popping him out of your mouth again, you made spit bubbles on his cock as you looked up at his flustered face. “Don’t worry, baby. Just relax and focus on feeling good, okay?”
He simply nodded as he let his head plop back onto the bed. He felt your pools of saliva drip onto his tip before you slurped it back into your mouth. The wet sounds you were making brought him closer to the edge. “Shit Y/N, m-move your head. I’m gonna cum!”
Still working your tongue on him, you slurpily replied. “Jush leh it ouh, babe~ I can chake it.” You sucked vivaciously at the upper end of his shaft, while your hand messily stroked the bottom. The copious amount of saliva flung over his thighs as you jerked him. “I wann yor cumm, baby~”
“Fuck!” Kirishima cursed as wads of his cum spurt down your throat. His grip on your hair tightened as you kept sucking the cum out of him. You didn’t swallow it, instead slurping it around his head creating more wet stimulations for him. “Shit, Y/N! Oh my god…”
Slipping his cock form your mouth after he was done, you lifted your head so he could see you swish his cum with the saliva in your mouth. Almost as if you were savoring it like a sweet wine. You made a loud gulp as you slowly swallowed all of it, looking lustfully into his eyes. “Mmm~ so thick, Eiji.”
Kirishima could’ve came again from the little show you just performed. He licked his lips as he grabbed at your arms, pulling you forward so he could now grip at your thighs.
“I think its only right for me, as a man, to return the favor. Come sit on my tongue, babe.”

Denki Kaminari – Mutual Study Break
You were helping Kaminari with his studying in your room, going over his last exam trying to help him better understand the questions he got wrong. It was a bit taxing because at first you didn’t know how to explain certain things, but eventually you were able to break down the question in a way that made it more understandable. In a way, helping him helped you as well since having to explain a complex problem to someone really tests your own knowledge of the material. After about an hour or so, it seemed Kaminari was growing tired of looking at the exam material and he plopped his head down on the coffee table.
“Y/N~ I need a break.” He let out with an exhausted sigh, closing his eyes. He looked kind of cute being so sleepy after a nice study session but you were determined to help him improve.
“C’mon Denki, I really want you to learn this.” Stroking your finger along his cheek, you heard a faint grumble at your request.
“Please~ just 10 minutes, I swear.”
Before you could even reply you heard a soft snore purring from him and you couldn’t help but just give in to his adorableness. You leaned down to his lips and gave them a small kiss.
“Only because you’re cute, okay.” You softly whispered, making sure your voice didn’t disturb his nap. Pleased with his sleeping face, you pulled out your phone and started scrolling through social media.
As you caught up on various hero topics, you lost track of time and realized it had been 30 minutes since you let Kaminari rest his tired brain. Gently rubbing your hand along his back, you tried to wake him up.
“Denki, wake up. There’s only a little bit left to go.”
“Hnnggh…” His eyebrows twitched at your voice but he was still sound asleep. You decided to lean down into his ear and whisper to him.
“Denk- heh?” That’s when you noticed his reddened cheeks and strained facial expression. You thought he might be sick, so you placed your hand on his forehead to check if his body temperature was warmer than normal. It seemed fine though, but you were still a bit concerned. Until you heard him whimpering your name in his sleep.
“Haahnn~ Y/N- feels so good…”
It didn’t take you too long to realize that he was having a wet dream- and starring you no less. It made you kind of happy that your boyfriend was a simp for you asleep just as much as he was when awake. So being the flattered and concerned girlfriend you were, you peeked under the table to see if he were having any other reactions. Unsurprisingly, you saw a nice tent being pitched underneath his jogger pants.
“Aww, Charge Bolt needs de-stressing, huh?” You dipped your hand under the table and rubbed along his clothed erection, smirking at his whiney, but sleepy reply. Kissing along his red cheeks, you placed more pressure on his growing cock and before long you felt the seeping of his pre-cum through his pant fabric. You rubbed it between your fingertips, chuckling at how much he was leaking despite his sleeping state. “No wonder you couldn’t focus, Denki.”
“Y/N~ Inside…” A bit of saliva drooled out of his lips at his whimper and onto his notebook. You wiped it up with your thumb before slipping your hand in his pants, smearing it on his tip with his abundant pre-cum.
“You can’t come inside, baby. You haven’t finished studying.” You continued to press chaste kisses along Kaminari’s face as you stroked up and down his shaft. The increasing amount of pre-cum made you able to stroke at faster and faster paces, allowing you to hear louder and cuter moans leave his sleeping lips.
“Hnnmmgh~ Y/N...”
The lewd adorableness of it all made you slick between the hips yourself, so you spread one of your legs across him and slipped your free hand down your shorts and panties. Flattening your fingers around your pussy lips, you circled around your clit, smearing your juices all over your inner thighs. Eventually you increased your pace to be equivalent to the hand stroking your boyfriend’s cock. “Ahhnn~ Denki, you make me feel good even when you’re sleeping.”
“…Y/N~ gonna cum...” More slobber fell from his lips as his breathing became more labored. His hips started to subconsciously thrust into your hand, trying to chase his dream-filled high. Apparently, his body was too stimulated because you were soon met with his golden irises. “Y/N...Y/N~!” He raised his head and gripped at your arm that was heartedly pumping at his cock. “Oh fuck!”
“Hahh…You had a sleepy boner, babe. You must’ve worked so hard while studying~” You continued to simultaneously jerk and flick with your hands while gazing at Kaminari’s extremely flustered face.
“I-Its because the way you were sitting with those s-shorts on! Your thighs are so gorgeous, Y/N!” He gasped as you lowered your hands to tighten around his base.
“Just my thighs though?” You feigned an innocently upset expression as you held his cock hostage in your hand.
“A-All of you! All of you is gorgeous, Y/N!”
Smiling, you went back to your jerking his cock. “Aww, thank you, babe.” You leaned over to capture him into a kiss, his tongue mindlessly licking around your lips as he focused on his building orgasm. “Gonna cum from my hand?” He nodded eagerly as his grip on your arm tightened.
You leaned your head back as you quickened the motions around your clit, also about to reach an orgasm. “Me too, Denki~”. Kaminari’s cock twitched wildly in your palm and you stroked harder around the head in hopes you both would reach a mutual orgasm. “Oh shit-! D-Denkii!” Your eyes rolled back as your pussy quivered under your hand.
Meanwhile Kaminari’s hot cum was being spilled all over your knuckles. You slowed your pumps on his cock, essentially re-lathering him with his own lubricant. As the two of you regained your breaths, you slipped your hand out of his pants, his cum sticking on all of your fingers. Kaminari laid his head back down on the table, sighing as exhaustion dwelled over him again. You got up to wash your hands in the sink and looked back at your tired boyfriend.
“You ready to try Question #7 again?”
“W-what?!”
-------------------------🌼-------------------------
Katsuki Bakugou – In Heat
Bakugou was taking a nap on your bed after a long day at his internship, and it honestly irked you. It seemed like nowadays when he came over all he did was eat or sleep because he was too tired for any other nightly activities. How could he just lay there on your bed with that beautiful face of his and not at least submerge it between your thighs? What was the point of all that stamina if he wasn’t going to share it with you?
You’d make sure to complain about it when he woke up, but he was just too cute to disturb right now. This of course was probably the only time you’d get to bask in the peacefulness of Katsuki Bakugou. You decided to grab your phone and watch a movie as you distracted yourself from your horniness. Everything was going fine until- a sex scene popped up. Just your luck. Deciding to be petty, you turned up the volume to max so that the moans of the actors would wake up your boyfriend and hopefully he’d get a clue.
“Oiii wake up and fuck me, already.” You softly spoke into his direction. He lazily grunted but was still very much asleep. “Stingy.”
You were about to give up when you noticed the moans from the movie did seem to get a reaction out of him, a reaction his sleeping state was not aware of, of course. “Aha! So the bastard does work.”
Turning down the volume so he would now not wake up any further, you spread your leg over his hip so that you were sitting directly on his crotch. You snickered over his sleeping face having rarely had such a domineering stance over him. “Yeahh~ Just stay asleep, Katsu. I’ll have fun by myself.”
You placed your hands on his chest to steady your position and slowly grinded away, stopping briefly when his eyebrows twitched like he was awaking from his slumber. The silky lace of your panties made for a sleeky smooth friction with his soft nylon shorts. The thinness of the material made it so that you could feel the increasing stiffness of his cock between your clothed labia. Your clit was nicely stimulated by the materials that separated the two of you.
As you felt yourself get more aroused you couldn’t help but notice the pre-cum that started to drool through Bakugou’s shorts and smear onto your own panties. “Katsu~ You’re leaking so much for someone who’s been ignoring their girlfriend for so long. Prick.” Despite your harsh whispers, you leaned down so you were pressed chest to chest with him, softly peppering kisses along his jaw.
You nuzzled yourself into his neck as you humped with increasing pressure against his cock. No longer caring if he woke up or not you let out soft moans that vibrated against his throat. “Hahh Katsuki, I can feel you throbbing~ You gonna cum?”
“With you humping like a bitch in heat like that? Hell no.” Bakugou’s raspy voice against your eardrums immediately stopped you in your chase of pleasure. You lifted your face and met his eyesight.
“That’s not what your leaky cock says.”
“Me?” Bakugou pushed his hands against your stomach so you’d sit up. Hooking his hand under the wing of your panties, he easily ripped them from your hips. He raised the panties in front of your face so you’d see the gusset that was lush with your juices. “Sweetheart, that’s all you.”
You grabbed your panties away from him before throwing them sharply on the floor. “That was your cock’s leakage seeping through.” Ignoring his rolling eyes, you leaned back down against his chest. “Now can I finish my business in peace, please?”
Bakugou slithered his hands down to your ass, grabbing at the jiggling fat. “Just hurry the fuck up. I’d like to actually do something that feels good at some point.” He grinded your ass further against his now damp shorts, giving your clit an insanely pleasurable amount of friction. But you wanted to feel something smoother so you slipped your hands between your bodies and tugged his shorts down. But only enough for half his cock to peek out from the waistband. You then readjusted your seating so that you could grind directly against his slickened cock.
“I don’t make you feel good, Katsuki?” You teased as you went to press lovingly tender kisses on his cheek and jaw.
“H-Hell no. Look how you’re selfishly humping away right now…how could this shit feel good for me?” Contrary to his verbal expression, Bakugou’s fingers were gripping tightly at your ass, desperately trying to get you to hump him more ruggedly. You could feel the imprints that would be decorated along your faint stretch marks. But two could play that game, so you wrapped your lips around a part of his throat, sucking deeply until the skin bruised. He twinged at the pain but kept his grip on your rear firmly pressed against him. “Who the f-fuck said you could do that, huh?”
“Ahhh~ you haven’t fucked me in so long I had to make sure you were still mine, Katsu.” As you  humped at his cock, you could feel the friction get more slippery as your pussy’s soppiness mixed with Bakugou’s pre-cum. The mess the two of you were making dripped over Bakugou’s hips and onto the bed sheets that lied below. Your clit swelled against his throbbing cock as the both of you became clouded with a looming orgasm.
“Shit- of course you’re mine. You always will be whether you fucking like it or not. Dumbass.” Bakugou’s grunts became more hoarse and his hips grinded up against you. “Fuck! I’m gonna cum. Don’t stop- shit!” As you moaned in reply, Bakugou grasped one hand around your jaw and pulled you into a sloppy kiss. The feeling of his saliva swapping with yours felt almost as lewd as the desperate humping being performed by your hips.
Bakugou’s cock pulsated under your twitching clit as orgasmic waves washed over the both of you. You felt his hot cum seep into your thin pajama top and slicken over your navel.  He didn’t dare release your tongue from his until it felt like every drop had been drained from him, leaving you to whine and pant into his mouth. He softly kneaded at your ass cheek as your grinding slowed from your post-orgasmic, sensitive clit.
Thoroughly satisfied, he let go of your face so your head could drop exhaustingly onto his shoulder. “You’re changing the bed sheets, right? Seeing as how you started this?” He heard nothing but soft snoring in reply and he clicked his tongue.
“So damn spoiled.”

When He Speaks
Prologue 2: Someone Else's Second Chance
Nines knew of the revolution distantly. The same way someone might know of a historic event that happened in a country they weren’t from. He understood the revolution was what had given him the chance to be something other than a Deviant Hunter like his predecessor. Though the need to pursue and destroy was still settled deep in his code. Relief came in the fact that it was no longer what drove his existence. What he did now, who he would become, those were up to him. Which would have been great if he knew what he was going to do. He was woken up, told that he was free, and then turned loose on the world. He remained at Jericho in some kind of limbo. There were plenty of resources to help androids and humans alike get back on their feet in the wake of the revolution, but nothing to help him find his direction. Did he do something to satisfy his base code? What would that even be? Join the military? Or did he try something else? Go a different route from his code, and do what exactly? He felt unsteady and lost and he disliked it. It was disorienting. He was intended to be the greatest android ever made by CyberLife and he couldn’t even figure out what he wanted to do with his life. If he wanted to do anything with it at all. He was only supposed to be activated if his predecessor had failed. To correct its -his, they were people now- mistakes. Though he had ultimately failed, there was nothing Nines had the power to do about it. He had no purpose.
He spent most of his days roaming the streets of Detroit in search of something that might interest him. It usually turned into him lingering outside the police station, Markus had suggested working there. It seemed like it would satisfy the itch in his code well enough and if he was lucky, as he tended not to be, he might find something else that he enjoyed. Markus had also mentioned making friends, but Nines had no interest in that. Social interactions were exhausting. He simply wanted the hollow feeling in the back of his mind to go away. He was tired of existing without a purpose. It took him three and a half months to cave and reach out to Captain Fowler. They went over a lot of the hiring process on the phone. They decided Nines would go through the academy, with no database access, and then take the detective’s exam. The passing mark was higher for androids since they came predisposed with certain knowledge. He would be hired on if he passed and then assigned a partner. When the call had ended he felt a little better. He had something to work toward, not a purpose, but a goal of sorts and that was good enough for now. He had to wait for the next enrollment period since he had just missed the deadline for this one. Going through the academy was mentally taxing. Not so much because it was difficult, but rather because humans were immensely exhausting. He didn’t like them much. Several of his classmates were staunchly against the idea of androids being allowed into law enforcement and did their best to make sure Nines was aware of that. If not through their words then through there actions. He ignored them for the most part, but he wasn’t above showing off when they grated on his nerves too much. Petty, Markus had called it. Nines didn’t care, it made him feel satisfied. There were many things he could do that humans just couldn’t, he had no reason to be humble about that. He was simply built better, there was nothing he could do about it.
Androids really weren’t all that much better than humans in that regard. Many of his acquaintances at Jericho began to keep their distance or cut him off entirely when they found out he planned to join law enforcement. It made him seem too much like Connor had been before the revolution. Too much like a Deviant Hunter. He supposed his distance and cool disposition didn’t help with that, but it was out of his control. He wasn’t going to pretend for the sake of someone else’s comfort. He didn’t need friends, androids were not designed to be social. His twelve weeks in the academy passed without too much of an incident outside of the usual snide remarks. He was relatively sure he had passed the academy exam with flying colors, but he still had to wait two weeks to be approved for his detective’s exam. He was looking forward to it. He wouldn’t have described it as excited, but he was glad to finally be doing something with his time. As a detective he would be able to satisfy the itch in his base code, and with that done he could start learning what his interests were. Assuming he had any that was. He would finally be able to find out who he was. Find out what made Nines. He was given this opportunity because of the revolution, and it felt a bit like he was riding the high of someone else’s second chance. The sooner he found who he was the sooner that hollow guilt would go away, or so he hoped. He would take this opportunity to become his own person, whoever that happened to be, and then go from there. The first step to finding Nines, to making this second chance his, was becoming a detective.
The detective’s exam was a little more difficult than the academy exam, but he was confident that he had hit his mark. He would know for three days, then he could interview officially with the DPD and go from there. He wondered what the station was like. He knew Connor worked there still, he and his Lieutenant made up the Android Crimes Unit, but he didn’t know much more than that. Humans he found, did not like it when you came into an interaction with more knowledge about them than they had about you. So he refrained from doing any research on his potential coworkers to prevent any potential discomfort. Three days later it was confirmed that he had passed his detective’s exam. He sent the results to Captain Fowler and they scheduled his interview for the following Friday. Nines had nothing to do until then. He was back in limbo for a little over a week. He thought about the things he might do once he was able. His first goal was to find a place of his own. Jericho was nice enough, but he wanted a space to call his own. So an apartment was first on his list. Once that was done he could worry about the rest. The week passed slowly. Nines was certain he had seen every inch of Detroit at this point, but wandering around was better than lingering at Jericho. His model as well as his career choice tended to make the other androids uncomfortable, so most days he made himself scarce. He still wore his uniform, which tended to unsettle the humans he came across, but that wasn’t his problem. He didn’t have money for clothes at the moment so there was nothing to be done about it.
The interview as it turned out was more of a formality than anything else. It was used as a way to get to know him, there wasn’t much to learn. He was an android that was activated after the revolution, and his base code would allow him to be a better detective than most. Captain Fowler showed him around the station and told him he would start and be assigned a partner on Monday. He had three days to adjust. He spent all three days learning his way around the station and introducing himself when prompted. He didn’t have plans to make friends so he wasn’t anything more than professional. Connor made an effort and showed him some of what would be expected of him in the field. He appreciated it, Connor was overly friendly, but it was pleasant compared to the wariness that other androids displayed toward him. Perhaps in Connor he might find a confidant. Monday found him in Captain Fowlers office waiting for his partner, Gavin. He was late, which annoyed Nines some, but humans in his experience were only so reliable. When Gavin finally chose to grace them with his presence, his ocean green eyes landed on Nines and filled with rage. HIs body language became that of someone who wanted to fight. Gavin didn’t like him and that was fine. If Detective Reed wanted a fight he could have one. Nines didn’t like humans much either.

A Midterms Review - What I’ve learned (Pt. II)
4 | 2 | 21
Though my midterms for my second semester has been rocky, I did learn some things from it. Here, I’ll share some academic, productivity, and self-care tips I’ll be working on for finals.
Long post ahead.
Blend what you find compelling with your studies - If schooling feels bland, try taking matters into your own hands. Explore what interests you in your studies, even if it isn’t part of the main lesson. Then try to integrate that into your main lesson. For example, your teacher’s info-dumping a lesson on immunity on you. Not fun. You could look up the vaccines being manufactured and distributed now, reading up on the explanations of experts on how they help fight off the virus. A bit more fun. Then you connect it with your lesson. It gives it more flavor, trust me.
If a rigid, structured schedule isn’t right for you, try a more flexible one. - A rigid schedule I make myself makes me procrastinate. I’m going to experiment with a flexible time-tracking system so I can switch around my tasks to keep my momentum going.
Study With Me videos on Youtube can help you focus when you want study company. - Well, they helped me focus for 3 hours straight when cramming for the exams. They are videos of people studying in different settings, like at home, in a library, in a cafe, etc. Useful for someone like me, who works best when I have a study partner. Plus a lot of them come with a timer!
Review bit-by-bit at least a week before the exams. - Even if it’s just 30 minutes out of your day. It helps get your momentum rolling and keeps you from cramming a lot in a short period. I crammed instead of reviewing the week before.
But for exams with large coverage, like the board exam, do it as early as possible. - I have a qualifying exam of all the things I’ve learned in my major subjects at the end of the year. To save myself from regrets, it would be best for me to start now by revisiting my lessons in small chunks every week. As stated above, even just for 30 minutes a day can help. It also helps if you review old lessons connected with new ones as they come.
When you take a study break, have a break. - As in make sure your brain (and eyes!) rest too. Switching to another task that uses your brain power during “break-time” is not a break. Try something simple and calm, like meditating, making tea, or folding your clothes. Save the more taxing hobbies for after you’re done with your studies for the day.
The “Just one more page/section” mentality. - 20 minutes into your textbook chapter, and you already feel the urge to scroll on Facebook? Just tell yourself to do one more page or section. And when you finish with the page/section, repeat. And repeat. Do until you finish up the work you need to do for the session. That said, this isn’t saying that you can’t take a break when you need to. Just don’t procrastinate. There’s a difference.
Hand-written notes are too taxing? Type. - If hand-written notes work well for you, go for it. But if not, as I said in a previous post, don’t pressure yourself to make them. You can type, which is faster, neater, and helps you make more complete notes. And you can put pictures.
You pay for your education. You have the right to be heard by your institution. - I really, really wish I suggested to my teacher earlier to switch to a different method than having individual students report the lessons for four hours straight in one of my classes. It just wasn’t working for anyone. Seriously, if you pay for your class, you can voice out your concerns to your teacher or admin. Just do it tactfully, politely, and respectfully.
Sleep is a priority. - Still have things to do and it’s already the wee hours? Please go to sleep. You need it. Sleeping later will only make you more tired the next day. You won’t be able to function well in the day, and this can lead to staying up to finish your work, and a cycle of sleeping late is created. Please, please put your health first. It’s ok.
Sometimes, silence is golden. - If you find yourself listening to your study music more than you are studying, maybe it’s time to switch to studying in a quiet atmosphere. That said, you can use white noise like the soft sound of rain or library sounds.
And that’s it, ladies and gents. Remember to take care of yourselves, stay hydrated, get sunshine. May you prosper and grow.

THE HUNDRED-ORIENTED
Because the self-reinforcing nature of this situation works the other way around. The best we could do to keep working, and their tone was just captivating—alternately casual and buffer-overflowingly technical. Poverty implies you can live cheaply, and this must be free. Why Twitter is a protocol owned by a private company. Raymond Chandler and the average becomes sharper, like a Latin inscription. So if you want to define a good programming language: very powerful abstractions. Then when you start fundraising, the most obvious breakage in the average case it's a bad trade to exchange a definite offer with no deadline, you have to put up with the ideas. But enough depends on where you are. It explains why they steal your ideas. What most businesses really do is make something valuable.
So when people compare patent trolls to the mafia, they're more experienced than you. They were mistaken. But that doesn't sound like conversation. Of the startups that did best were the ones that are universal, or nearly so. We just don't hear about it. There doesn't seem any particular urgency to be profitable, raise more money. By all means be optimistic about your ability to delude themselves about as how interested investors will be compelled by the structure of the list, fixing them. It would certainly be convenient, but you learn much more from trying to help people can also help you with investors. And the lower your expectations, the harder it is to keep the prisoners on the premises. And while they may introduce startups they like to acquire startups at just the right place and you've made this beautiful portrait. The challenge is whether we can keep things this way. In a project of that size, powerful languages probably start to outweigh the convenience of pre-existing libraries.
Html and forms. Salesmen are an exception. Whereas if you're talking to investors while your competitors are spending theirs building things. There's also a newer way to find new ideas. Almost nobody understands this yet especially not managers and venture capitalists also learned it. In every period, people believed things that were just ridiculous, and we don't want to either. But I don't try to look into the past to make sure they're ok guys. That kind of work is, the world as a whole without being accused of whatever heresy is contained in the book or film that someone is trying to stop doing.
If companies stuck to their initial plans, Microsoft would be selling printed circuit boards. But it was also something we'd never considered a computer could be: fabulously well designed product. And so you didn't get a lot of data about that. In most, corruption still has the upper hand over investors. I'm not arguing for or against? A symbol type. In the summer of 1914 as if they'd spent the past week at acting school. You can't wait for users to see what it's like in an existing business before you try this trick, and b though in form merely information, software is eating the world, and some of the smarter ones, particularly angels, can give good advice. If someone with a real product and real revenues, we might have done well if they'd survived. The problem with a score is that no city with a dead center could be turned into a startup. Why do they do it.
9075001 quality 0. So readability-per-line could be a legitimate reason for doing this. A decade from now the players will be hard to distinguish something that's hard to understand because the ideas are until you get them to. And indeed, the closer you get to hit a lot of face to face. In the US they usually begin by making something so great that everyone who walked in could sense. The Facebook was just a project. Number two is good investors. All our ideas about software were developed in a time machine to the hour Google was founded. It's much easier to start in a subset of the problem. There are certainly some political questions that have definite answers, like how much a new government policy will cost.
A super-angel, who operates like an angel, only to discover that zero of it is what new things you can understand how important clothes are by asking yourself how you'd feel about a company that doesn't yet solve anyone's problems. Half the time you're in a powerful position. Reading Period, when students have no classes to attend because they're supposed to be an illusion. Symbols differ from strings in that you can traverse. But don't let them or the situation intimidate you. Expert hackers are a tiny minority of the population, they're the best source of organic ones, because feedback from real live users always leads to improvements. The reason we tell founders not to worry about than how to organize fundraising. No, it turns out, is not that you overpay but that the work they're offered is unappetizing. Presumably it was not too expensive. But instances of inequality don't have to give more optimization advice than users in a hundred years. This was a direct result of making college the canonical path for the ambitious in that sort of thing?
Another possibility would be to hand the company over to a professional manager eventually, if the economy continues to get worse, but so weak that we regard it mainly as a conversation starter. The answer, I think, without macros? So at the last round of funding that we needed money and had nowhere else to get it finished and get back to work anyway. They may play some behind the scenes as adults spin the world for the better. But it does seem as if the important thing is to be young. The picture we give them. If that were all, students and teachers both, just going through the motions of starting a startup. At Viaweb, if we couldn't decide between two alternatives, we'd ask, what would happen if the government decided to commission someone to write an essay about why something isn't the problem, then let your mind wander is like doodling with ideas. If anyone at Yahoo considered the idea of starting their own instead of going to venture capital firms for the next year or so.
Perhaps it's because startups are so small. Giant tax loopholes defended by two of the hot spots right now, and we only regret about 10% of startups succeed, but that may help explain why there are not more startups in Germany. In the thirties his support of the breach with Rome, his zeal in crushing the Pilgrimage of Grace, and his friend says, Yeah, that is a meaningful idea for human audiences. Of course, what shows up on the bottom. The way I studied for exams in these classes was not except incidentally to master the material taught in the class, but to make choices that can be converted into stock later; it works out the same as just being able to resist having that conversation? Remove them and most people have no idea how much better. You're also making a social decision, and this consumes less energy. A
What is your age? 22, but there’s less than a month to go before I turn 23.
What annoys you? Literally every single person who still supports the government at this point. For context, we are back to square one and we’re under the exact same quarantine imposed in March 2020 because of the surge in cases. Nothing has changed and nothing has been done in the last 365 days while people are getting hungrier and poorer. I’m done feeling hopeful for this country and I cannot wait to abandon it forever.
Do you have any allergies? Apparently, grass. Can’t be exposed to it for too long otherwise the skin on my thighs turn red and occasionally even get rashes.
B
Do you know anyone named Billy? Kind of, but they’re girls with their name spelled as Billie.
When is your birthday? April 21st and spending it in quarantine once again this year...
Who is your best friend(s)? Angela and Andi.
C
What's your favorite candy? I like gummy bears and worms. As for sweets, I really like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Butterfinger, Twix, and the Hershey’s Cookies and Creme bar.
When was the last time you cried? Maybe a day or two ago while watching a snippet from Caught in Providence.
Have you been out of the country? Yes.
D
Do you daydream? Not so much these days. I’ve been better at keeping my focus at work.
What's your favorite kind of dog? I love alllllll dogs, but I’d usually be wary of smaller dogs because 87% of the times I’ve met some, they’re aggressive or a bit moody. I don’t like stereotyping dogs as much as possible but because I’ve had direct experiences to back it up anyway, *shrug*
What day of the week is it? It’s a Sunday.
E
How do you like your eggs? Scrambled, poached, or an omelette with lots of fillings. Balut is also great.
Have you ever been in the emergency room? Only when I was born, I’m guessing.
What's the easiest thing ever to do? Idk, what comes easy to me might not be the same for others. But my answer would be to smile, regardless if it were genuine or otherwise.
F
Have you ever flown in a plane? Yeah, many times. The child-like excitement I get whenever I get on one will probably never go away, either.
Do you use fly swatters? No, my mom usually uses old shoebox covers or rolled-up scratch papers we have lying around to swat them.
Have you ever used a foghorn?: Only in video games lol, never in real life.
G
Have you pet a goat? I don’t think I have. I’ve pet lots of animals before but I don’t think a goat has been one of them yet.
Are you a giver or a taker? Giver, but I’ve been allowing myself to take more these days.
Do you like gummy candies? Love them.
H
How are you? We’ve entered summer weather now, so I feel hot and miserable. It’s also Sunday and I am stuck at home, which doesn’t make me the happiest camper.
What's your height? 5′1″ or a tiny tiny tiny bit taller than that.
What color is your hair? It’s black but on extremely rare occasions I’ll catch a single light brown strand when I play with my hair.
I
What's your favorite ice cream? Cookies and cream and chocolate chip cookie dough. My friend Leigh actually started her own ice cream shop recently and I bought her coffee crumble ice cream, and it is sooooooooo fuckinggggggggg good??????? It’s so rare to find coffee ice cream where I live period, so I’m fucking stoked to have a close friend who makes literally the best one and in generous servings too.
Have you ever ice skated? Many times as a kid. I was never formally trained, but it was something I wanted to try from watching other kids play in mall ice skating rinks; and when I did give it a shot, I ended up enjoying it. Luckily my mom was encouraging and actually frequently dropped me off at a rink so I can practice gliding and all for a few hours while she ran errands.
Have you cheated the IRS? That’s like an American tax thingy, right? We don’t have that here and my employer handles my TIN.
J
What's your favorite jelly bean? Not a big fan but if I had to have Jelly Belly, I obviously would want to get the pleasant-tasting ones.
Do you tell jokes? Yes.
Do you wear nice jewelry? Only on special occasions.
K
Do you want to kill anybody? I don’t want to kill anybody but I certainly wish a good number of public officials would finally die.
Do you want to have kids? Yes. I really wish I could still have a future with them. Thanks for the trauma, my real asshole of an ex.
Where did you have kindergarten? Somewhere.
L
Are you laidback? I doubt my friends would use this to describe me. I for sure lean more towards the uptight side of the spectrum.
Do you lie? Eh, occasionally.
When is the last time you sent a hand-written letter? I have no idea. Christmas 2019 maybe?
M
Ever talked in a microphone? Sure. Many times.
Do you still watch Disney Movies? I very rarely get in the mood for them if I’m by myself, but yes, I’d gladly sit down and watch should an opportunity come.
Do you like mangoes? No.
N
Do you have a nickname? 99% of people call me Robyn while my family calls me Byn, but there are a select few friends who’ve stayed long enough with me to catch other names I’ve gotten over the years, which have since become inside jokes/nicknames. There’s Reben and Rolayn, and literally just yesterday ‘Roby’ happened when I ordered food for lunch so that will probably catch on as well.
What’s your favorite number? 4.
Do you prefer night over day? Absolutely.
O
Are you an only child? No, I’m two siblings away from that status.
Do you wish this was over? I haven’t felt that way, no.
What is the closet orange object near you? An orange tumbler my Kuya gave me as a Christmas gift in 2019. There is also orange tape wrapped around the charger adaptor of my company laptop.
P
What one fear are you most paranoid about? Waking up in the middle of surgery and being unable to speak nor move.
Do you play any instruments? Nope.
Do you think you are pretty? Some days.
Q
Are you quick to judge people? No, unless they are already blatantly showing their character like being rude towards service staff, tossing their trash to the ground, or cutting in queues. Whenever those things happen I give myself the space and freedom to guiltlessly judge.
What do you keep quiet about? How dysfunctional my family really is, and the things I really want to say about Gabie.
Do you have any quirks? Food-wise, I like peeling off the breading from fried chicken and placing them on the side of my plate so I can eat them last, because they’re my favorite part.
R
What’s a good reason to cry? Frustration. Crying can be really helpful in lessening stress.
Do you think you're always right? No.
Do you watch reality TV? Not religiously, but I love watching snippets of reality shows on Facebook because they’re all so embarrassing and it’s hilarious to watch hahahahah. Literally last night I was watching clips of Big Ed on 90 Day Fiance.
S
Are you a social person? More so now than I was years ago.
What states have you lived in? I lived in Manila briefly but it didn’t take long till we transferred to another city for a more peaceful life in the suburbs.
What is your favorite season? I wanna say winter because of what I’ve seen from it in movies and shows, but I’ve never actually experienced it before.
T
When did you last sleep in a tent? Sometime in March or April last year.
Do you like tomatoes? Mostly in diced form. Tomato sauce is fine but I don’t really like it in my pasta. Bloody Mary also tastes rather awful.
What time did you wake up? 8:30 AM.
U
Do you have an umbrella in your car? I think so, yeah. I finally placed one in there lmao.
Do listen to Usher? Eh, not really. 2000s R&B isn’t my thing, save for Beyoncé.
Describe the underwear your wearing? It’s light blue.
V
What’s the worst veggie? I never learned to like pechay. I’d still eat it, but only because I like cleaning up my entire plate.
Do you like movies with violence? Some. Like I hate action movies but I enjoyed A Clockwork Orange and Scream lol.
Where do you want to go on vacation? I recently bookmarked an Airbnb in Zambales and the accommodation is basically this super cute line of tipi-styled huts by the beach. I'd love to have a solo trip push through once this Covid mess subsides.
W
Ever been on a wave runner? No.
Where do you work? I work in a PR company.
Do you wish on stars? Just sometimes.
X
Have you ever had an x-ray? Only for mandatory medical exams.
Do you own a xylophone? I think I had a toy one as a kid, but it’s not with me anymore.
Have you watched the x-games? No, not interested.
Y
What did you do yesterday? I stayed at home; ordered food for Angela as a surprise; debated if I should buy a pair of Air Maxes – and ultimately decided I’ve already spent too much this month to deserve a new pair of shows lol; and just settled to buy a new night lamp for my bedroom. I also watched the newest episode of 2 Days 1 Night and ate more of Leigh’s ice cream while doing work.
Do you like the color yellow? Only in mustard yellow. I also like the song Yellow, heh.
What year were you born?: 1998.
Z
Do you believe in the zodiac? No.
Has your bank account been at zero? No. I remember when I was first opening my own account at the bank and the clerk told me to make sure I don’t go below P2,000, and my intensely by-the-book ass has been following the rule ever since, even though my dad has told me it’s absolutely fine to go below it so long as I have P2,000 back in the account after a month hahaha.
Ever been to the zoo? A few.

Hey! I just finished high school and I'm about to go and study linguistics at university. I keep fluctuating between excitement and anxiety about basically everything in the future--do you have any advice for that stage of life in general? (If that's too general or you're busy or whatever, don't bother, I just felt like you might have some wisdom)
Hello and congrats on your A-levels or Maturité or whatever the name is in your country! It must be a great feeling to be done with all that stuff! And don’t worry - it’s completely normal to be all over the place right now, this is a big moment in your life!
Tumblr media
I’m not sure my opinion will be useful to you, but here are a few thoughts.
1) The world out there is probably not as you imagined it, so be patient and flexible. Like - the subject you chose to study might not be what you’re actually interested in; if you’re moving to go to uni, the new city might be different from what you were expecting (and if you’re staying home, the relationship with your parents might not develop or change the way you wanted it to); and, most of all, life on campus is probably not going to match what you’ve been seeing over and over in movies and shows. All of that is okay. ‘Different’ doesn’t necessarily mean ‘worse’. Take your time, be patient, switch your major if you have to, and above all don’t be afraid to reach out for help - talk to your tutors, professors, to other students, to the librarians, to the mental health service if you feel like you need them. Everything is new, but you’re not alone in this. Even the most famous and respected professor was once a nervous 19-yo, so they know what you’re going through and will help you out if you give them the chance to.
2) This brings me to the second thing: in uni, stuff gets messy very quickly. If you were a good student in high school, you probably got into the habit of improvising, doing assignments at the last minute, pulling all-nighters and the like. In uni, that won’t work. Go to your classes, take good notes, do the assigned reading and try to keep everything on schedule as much as possible. Never underestimate how long something will take, and if it looks like you won’t be able to complete something on time, speak with your advisor or tutor at once and work out a solution with them. In my experience, there is a lot of tolerance but professors also get annoyed by last-minute excuses.
3) Reaching out and asking for help is also a good way to stay safe, which was my third point. Not to go all mom on you, but change is always stressful, so be mindful of that. For instance, I know it’s sometimes tempting to become a whole new person when you go to uni, but if possible, don’t give up your old life all at once and/or 100%. Find a way to keep practicing your favourite sport or craft, keep in touch with high school friends, remember your parents will probably be happy to hear from you more than once a month. Holding on to what you liked of your ‘child’ self will help you a lot in managing the stress of building the adult self you’re now becoming.
4) On a related note: uni is often a time for experimenting, which is great - but while some mistakes are unavoidable, try to limit the damage. Always practice safe sex, tell your friends where you’re going to be if you go to someone’s house, keep the age difference with your sexual and romantic partners down to a reasonable number, drink in moderation (and be aware of the risks: never ever drink lots of strong alcohol in a short period of time!), do your research when it comes to drugs (my advice would be, avoid them completely - but if you don’t, please be smart about it), ask yourself if you’ll really want a quirky tattoo on your nose when you’re forty and if you moved to a new city, do some research about safety, risky areas, crime or whatever else. I know you feel all grown-up and society is pushing you to be adult and efficient and pay taxes and all that stuff, but your brain won’t be done developing until you’re 25 or so. That means your risk/reward centre is still a bit wonky, so be aware of that!
5) Finally: be curious. You have the amazing opportunity to discover a lot of new things - take advantage of it! Do your assigned reading, follow up on footnotes about other articles, pick up interesting books, go to random lectures in your free time, wander into that weird Kieślowski retrospective, try new sports or activities, take the time to meet new people. There’ll be time to binge on Netflix when you’re old; now there’s better stuff to do. Plus, you never know where the connections you make and the knowledge you gather will lead you. My entire life basically happened the way it did because I had a sudden crush on a professor and started taking his classes, and I don’t regret it for a second. One of my friends is now doing a PhD on a subject he never meant to study - he just walked into the wrong classroom during his first week, was too shy to leave and got hooked. Another one is now a theatre director - he started drama classes because he fell in love with some girl, the relationship didn’t last but still changed everything for him. I know people who switched from economics to musicology and from Latin to obstetrics, people who left for a semester abroad and never came back, people who took road trips with strangers they would later marry, and all of them are very happy about where they ended up. So while it’s good to have a plan of sorts, keep your eyes open and allow fate and serendipity to work their magic.
[And if things don’t work out: everything can be fixed. Please remember that. I know some stuff can feel like the end of the world, but as grim as it sounds, death is the only real end of the world. Everything else - everything, no matter how dramatic and traumatic and unexpected - can be fixed. And I’m sorry if this is a bit dark, but I saw many people freak out about exam results, or panic about deadlines, or feel like their lives are over because of some other reason - please stay safe and keep others safe as much as you can.
Seriously: everything can be fixed.]
Anyway - good luck and my very best wishes! Linguistics is awesome, I hope you’ll have tons of fun with it!

If you’re a member of the studyblr community, you’ll know that challenges are incredibly popular here. But lots of us embark on productivity challenges, only to give up after a few days. So when I managed to complete @studyblr 30 days of learning challenge in July, I was so proud of myself that I decided to make a post about to talk about how I managed to do it!
Tumblr media
There’s a more detailed explanation here, but essentially, the 30 days of learning challenge is exactly what it sounds like – you pick a skill, an activity, anything, and take 30 days to practice it!
Tumblr media
Like I said, I’ve never managed to complete a study challenge because I struggled with motivation, especially with challenges that span over a few months. I’m going into my final year of university this September, and I’ve got a lot on my plate: I’ll be looking after some first year students and I’m also the representative for all the students in my department. So I wanted to get a head start on my third year with this challenge! I chose to complete my readings for my autumn semester modules. It was a huge challenge, but I knew it would help me in the long run.
Tumblr media
On to the nitty gritty. It had been a while since I’d done something productive, so it was pretty obvious that I’d give up if I worked myself hard every single day for thirty days – especially if I also had to post about it.
Taking each day as it comes
So instead, I took each day as it came. Some days I was able to work for a solid few hours and get lots done, and others I wasn’t in the right headspace to do that, and only managed to do something small. And I took weekends off for myself, leaving my blog running on a queue.
“But that means you didn’t learn for thirty days!”, I hear you cry. And you’re right! I didn’t specifically focus on my subject of learning for every day of this challenge. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t learn. It taught me a lot about respecting my own boundaries, taking time to myself, and not working myself until I had nothing left to give. And despite taking some days off, I got all of my readings done with some time to spare!
Actually doing the work
It’s not easy by any means, but it is possible. It starts with knowing where and when you work best – here’s a good masterpost about that. I already knew that I work best in the morning, anywhere comfortable and quiet, so I took advantage of that. It might be a bit harder if you’re not able to create the perfect environment but getting as close as possible will definitely help.
From there, I tried to set goals as realistically as possible. Would I be able to read a 20-page paper and take good, helpful notes about it in half an hour? Hell no. I guesstimated how long each reading would take, giving myself anywhere from an hour to up to four hours in some cases, and drew up a loose plan in my head for how long each week’s readings would take.
Tumblr media
The most important thing, I found, was flexibility. Theoretically, I would be able to get through two weeks’ worth of reading each day, with an hour for lunch, if I worked from 9am-5pm. But that didn’t happen every day. Some days, I got through two weeks; some days I got through three or even four weeks; some days, I got through one week, if I did any work at all.
On top of that, my university’s resource lists are sometimes incomplete or require a trip to the library: for my investigative journalism module, only about half of the required readings were available online. Instead of getting annoyed and giving up on it, I had to force myself to plough through – not an easy feat by any means, but now it’s over I know it was worth it.
Flexibility in what I focused on and how is absolutely essential to getting any work done in the circumstances we’re faced with. It all makes doing anything considerably more taxing on your energy and wellbeing. Some days I couldn’t do much other than be anxious and sit on my phone or play Animal Crossing all day. But as soon as I took the pressure off myself, and actively told myself I didn’t need to do something every day, it made productivity easier, and more enjoyable.
I also made sure to give myself the right amount of downtime. Not enough and I’d burn out, but too much and I’d get lazy and not bother to keep going. This will differ for everyone, but finding your balance is incredibly important – not only for challenges like this, but for your wider life as a student and as a person.
For me, the right balance was finishing at around 4-5pm every day to make dinner and have downtime with my family, and forcing myself to take time away from it all at the weekends. Like I mentioned, I put my blog on a queue every weekend, but I also didn’t let myself check my emails or do any reading when I was taking my breaks.
I found it challenging to force myself into taking breaks when I felt like I could continue, but from past experience I knew that I would end up burning myself out. Enforcing boundaries between your academic and personal life is essential.
Tumblr media
It’s very important to note that mental health should be your priority regardless, but especially when completing any studyblr challenge. It’s hard enough coping with mental health problems as a student, but it’s even harder during a pandemic when you’re told by your teachers you need to keep being productive. For that reason, it’s even more important to put boundaries in place and stick to them. Remember: if you can’t do something one day, that’s okay! You have other days to look forward to where doing what you need might be more possible. I have a whole masterpost about looking after your mental health as a student, which you can check out here.
Wrapup
I really hope this post was helpful! I’m more than happy to answer any other questions here, and I’ll also include some other links below to help.
If you completed the 30 days of learning challenge or any other studyblr challenge recently: well done! They’re not easy and accomplishing that much is something you should be really proud of yourself for. Stay safe and look after yourselves!

You killed me with that last ask. Buuut, since you mentioned it... teacher-student scenario, please? ❤
I had to dig through my archive, because I know I answered this already; it deals with Nat being in a submissive role, so let me tackle the roles reversed.

Tumblr media
She teaches a difficult subject – ‘Advanced Russian Conversation and Composition’ – that has a fairly low passing rate. Everybody takes it, though. There’s a bunch of students walking around that have gone through the trouble of taking all the classes up to the ‘Intermediate Russian’ prerequisite, because that’s the only way you can have Professor Romanoff on your semester schedule. She’s even got a wait list for her class that’s a mile long. So, why are so many people tripping over themselves for her? Easy. She’s the hottest staff member on campus. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Professor Romanoff filters the weakest students who actually need the class against those who sit during lecture to ogle her breasts. Nearly everybody knows that they don’t have to stay for the entire semester – the first two weeks allow for a ‘drop period’ where leaving the class won’t affect transcripts, so they just take it to drool over her.
Uh-huh, pure hell. You’ve barely managed to scrape by with the skin of your teeth, and your grade’s not doing too well. You can’t drop her class, though. You can’t. That’s why you bombard her with emails about when you can set up an appointment – extra credit or something. Is there anything you can do to bump your grade up to pass? Exams only get more taxing as the semester trudges on, and at the rate you’re going, you might fail.
Thank god she agrees to meet you during her office hours. She knows you by name. It makes you feel a little warm inside, special, somewhat. You’re one of the good students, she’s noticed. Maybe not top-of-the-class material, but definitely doing your best. Natasha – she wants to skip the formalities, apparently; it sounds… unprofessional, but you’re willing to appease her in any way possible – so Natasha, she leans against the side of her desk with her arms folded. Her piercing green eyes are roaming over you in thought. She actually does have something in mind: it requires your participation outside of school. Natasha’s applying for a research grant, and she could use your help as an assistant to keep her organized while she keeps her other classes in line.
Anyways, she invites you over to her house for the weekend – minor holiday, meaning that the campus is closed and she can’t access the library or her office. This news makes your heart speed up, because the rumors aren’t rumors. She is hot, and the idea of being alone with her in such approximate distance is unnerving, to say the least. So, you show up to her front door with some snacks; isn’t that the polite thing to do? She said you’d be there for a couple of hours. And Natasha answers, coming out with these tiny pair of shorts because, oh, her air-conditioner coincidentally broke last Wednesday, and the repairman’s supposed to show up the day after tomorrow. Great. Just fucking great. But this can be a secret between the two of you… right?
You go into her home, completely oblivious to the fact that, wow, she could’ve met up with you literally anywhere else but here.
Natasha’s hand brushes up against yours while she accepts the food. That’s, um, that feels nice. Wait, no. She’s your professor, your superior, and while your having this internal crisis, you’re being led into the living room to get settled in for the evening.
It’s going to be a long night.
After thirty minutes, she comes over, plopping down next to you. Natasha’s showing you what has to be done on her computer. There’s barely inches separating the both of you, and your eyes are flickering between her screen and her lips, which is the last goddamn thing you want. Unfortunately, your brain has other plans in mind, so while she’s talking, you’re thoroughly distracted by how extremely kissable your professor looks. Your professor, not Natasha. You can’t keep doing this. It’s inappropria— and you’re freaking out one second, then feeling the softest pair of lips against yours. This is all happening so fast, and the only reasonable course of action is make clear that yeah, it’s mutual.
Computer? Magically disappeared. You’ve got unrestricted access to put your hands on her. She’s easing you down onto the couch, continuing with the kiss.  Now you understand why she told you to call her Natasha, because it’s so fucking sexy moaning that into her mouth. She’s got your jeans off really fast, and her shorts are gone instantly. All there’s left for her to do is straddle your thigh, gently rocking her hips. How is she so wet for you? This isn’t happening. No way. You’ve got to be fucking dreaming, but you don’t care, because Natasha’s saying stuff like how she’s going to keep you around long after the semester’s over, and she can’t wait to give you an A, because good girls deserve good grades. So, you express your gratitude, and holy shit is it an accident, but you groan out a, “Thank you, Professor,” immediately freezing when you hear yourself. This makes your thigh tense up, though, and suddenly she’s rutting up against it faster and harder, coming until she leaves a sticky, creamy mess on your leg.

“Stop waiting for things in your life to get better and MAKE changes to make your life better.”
This is something I’m getting really tired of hearing from people. Something people don’t realize about life is that sometimes when you actively do things to make your life better, there’s still a lot of waiting for those things to take effect. I’ve been going through a very difficult time all year. I really really hate my job. I deliver food for a fast food restaurant. Sometimes I have to carry 50+ lbs of food on my back, walk for miles (they don’t give us bikes) and carry it up 4-5 flights of stairs, sometimes in the pouring rain, boiling heat and freezing cold. When I’m not making deliveries, I’m in the dining room cleaning, taking out the trash, running and bussing tables, running dishes to the kitchen, helping customers, mopping, sweeping and stocking supplies. Sometimes I even help with food prep. The only thing I don’t do is wash the dishes. Now you’re probably thinking, “oh, well that doesn’t sound that bad.” Well, try doing that while the room is spinning, you feel like you just ran a marathon and the chemicals in your brain are telling you to kill yourself...and this is all before you even start your shift. I have thyroid disease, vertigo and a vitamin D deficiency. All these things make my job unbearable. I’m constantly exhausted, depressed and dizzy. Not to mention, I have a communication disorder so speaking to people is very difficult as well. My immune system is compromised. I got an infection on my hand after only working there for a couple of months because the restaurant is always filthy and it’s my job to clean it. My finger swelled up so much that I couldn’t bend it. Since I didn’t have medical insurance, I had to prick myself with a needle and drain the pus myself.
I have been trying like hell since I started this job to find another job. And of course, I keep getting rejected.
So here are a few things I’ve been trying to do to improve my situation aside from applying for jobs:
• I’m a freelance illustrator and I’ve been trying to put myself out there and try to get commissions to make some extra money. But of course, I can’t just assign myself commissions and give myself money, I have to wait for people to commission me and I’ve actually gotten a few commissions this year. I also tabled at an art show last month and sold a few prints and copies of a novel I wrote.
• I illustrated a children’s book for free as part of a deal so that the author and I can go into business together. However, I’m still waiting for the author to get the book printed. I’d like to emphasize the “waiting” part. This isn’t going to happen overnight. I need to WAIT.
• One of my former teachers got a grant to work on some short films and he wants to create a short series of pilot films/episodes for a film series. I showed up to every meeting for these discussions always prepared with my script, always on time and always willing to take the next step toward making this happen. It’s been a couple of years since we first discussed this and during the past couple of years, we’ve had to WAIT for him to get that grant. Now that he has the grant, I need to WAIT for him to return from traveling so that we can start filming. More waiting. Not much else I can do at this point.
• I reached out to the dean of my college and the program coordinator of the pre-college program that I graduated from in high school to ask for help with finding work. My college’s campus has a career services office which I’ve visited. I asked for help with finding a job at this office and all they could tell me was that I wasn’t going to find a job on Indeed and that I need to reach out to other alumni and network in order to find work--which I’ve already tried. So now I need to WAIT to hear back from the dean and the coordinator to see if they can help me find a job.
Story Time: The school that I attended is a not-for-profit university and while I was attending the university, I had a very difficult time securing enough financial aid to remain in my classes. I came close to dropping out because of this. I got a meeting with the financial aid director of my school and they told me that since I was in that pre-college program and I spent so much time in high school volunteering and I came from a poor socio-economic background that the school had a responsibility to help me finish school. So, they gave me extra financial aid to dorm and they helped me secure a work-study job. Now that I’ve graduated, I still need help from my school to find a decent job. As a matter of fact, I got my first job after I graduated because one of my supervisors from my work-study job found me a job. And then I got laid off less than 6 months later...
• I recently had to retake my learner’s permit exam because my permit expired and I didn’t get to take driver’s ed yet. I haven’t taken driver’s ed yet because I’ve been more focused on trying to find a better job, working on the children’s book I illustrated, dealing with my medical issues and just the day-to-day bullshit. I also haven’t had the money since I recently moved out of my mother’s place and drained my savings and whatever money I had to do so. So yeah, I’ve been pretty broke these past few months. Now that I’ve retaken my permit test and went into more credit card debt paying for that, now I need to WAIT for my new permit to come in the mail so that I can start driver’s ed. My girlfriend and I plan on moving to California someday and that’s going to be very difficult to do if we can’t drive. I know, all the Cali people are going “well, you don’t necessarily need a car.” Well, when I visited Cali, my friend and I had to do an obscene amount of walking through the suburbs to get anywhere after getting off public transportation. And having to take trains and busses between each city also takes a lot of time. Having a car would be so much easier. But we’re going to wait until we actually have the money for all of this which won’t be any time soon. Also, a lot of arts-related jobs require that people know how to drive because if you work for an arts program or gallery, they ask people to transport art pieces. So if I get my license, I’ll have more job opportunities in general. But like I said, this isn’t all going to happen overnight. I have to WAIT.  • I used to work as a teacher’s assistant for a non-profit but I quit because they kept running out of money to pay us. But I recently discovered that they increased their pay rate and that they’re hiring. I really hope this means that they’ve solved their funding issues. Anyway, I told them that I want to work there again because, at this point, I rather work anywhere else. I actually liked working as a teacher’s assistant too. It was easy and sometimes fun. So I have a meeting on Monday, that I have to WAIT for to discuss my availability and where they want to place me. So I already technically got the job, we’re just going to discuss my scheduling for the job.
• I am also writing a new novel not only as a possible way to make money in the future but also as a form of therapy (since I can’t afford actual therapy right now because my “health insurance” is a scam). I’ve also came up with an idea for a TV show and my teacher suggested that I apply for a grant to create a pilot for it. I have over 50 pages of an outline of events that take place on this show. I made a documentary in high school so I know a little about filmmaking but I don’t yet have experience making fictional films so I am going to WAIT until I have experience with the film that I’m going to be making with my teacher so that I know what the process is like and so that I can use it as a way to hone my writing/directing skills.
• I’m going to be applying for medicaid today since my health insurance is utter crap but I heard there’s a WAITING period as they figure out if the applicant is qualified so I’m probably not going to get that any time soon. But when I do, I’m going to try to find a therapist and/or psychiatrist.
So in conclusion, I may complain a lot about my situation and I have the right to do so because if I just kept everything bottled up all the time and never complained, I’d probably be having a panic attack every day like I did yesterday at work and like I did last summer at my last job. I get really mixed messages from people about how I’m supposed to go about dealing with my struggles. I get people telling me that if I’m going through something that I need to talk to someone; that I need to talk to them about it. But then when I do, they often tell me to just suck it up and be glad that I have a job and place to live. However, just because I do doesn’t mean that I have a decent quality of life. For example, my apartment has bedbugs and I’ve called the housing office (which has abysmal reviews), 311, the borough president’s office and they haven’t done anything about it so my girlfriend and I had to take care of it and they haven’t completely gone away. My health insurance doesn’t cover any of my medical expenses and I’m paying out of pocket via my paychecks for it. Doctors’ visits are very expensive. I’m currently almost near $3K in debt and that’s just from getting a splint for my wrist and getting testing done at the OB/GYN’s office. I feel like our society has been so conditioned to believe that as long as you’re not homeless and you’re making minimum wage, you should be happy even when your medical insurance company is trying to drown you in debt, you barely scrape by to pay your bills every month, can’t afford to go back to school and you’re living in a bed-bug infested apartment. In other developed countries, people don’t have to struggle the way that we do. Their tax dollars pay for everything including medical care and college. Their public housing is also better too. So you could live a good life going to school, working part-time and living in public housing in places like Germany but here, in great ole’ America, we have such a terrible quality of life that it makes people want to kill themselves.
So to anyone who wants to tell me to shut up, suck it up and do things to make my life better, you can shut up now.
