study diary —

A late post to reflect on yesterday. I didn’t get much done.

I went to the doctor in the morning and spent most of the day trying to track down a pharmacy with my medication in stock. Most are still out of it.

I finally found one, and my doctor sent my prescription to them. They filled it, and I made it to their pick-up line exactly 6 minutes before they closed.

By the time I got home it was 20:30, and I was both mentally and emotionally exhausted from the chaos and uncertainty of tracking down something essential for my well-being.

I chose to prioritize my mental health, and spent the evening reading in bed with my cats. I don’t feel guilty for this decision, nor do I regret it, but I do have a lot to do today.

I'm back, now I have to build discipline to study, not just to work. I really want to aplly to a very hard test, try a new job, because of the better salary.

It is hard because I love my current job, but I don't want to be an academic, so it is not the right path for me.

Seeking 3-4 roles in my studyblr discord, which i will be relaunching soon.

My final papers are coming up now, so instead of outlining I’ve been reading up on my feminist philosophy yet again.

I adore it here, watching people overwhelming passionate about their education is never embarrassing. I used to get discouraged to be here, that I’m not at a good enough university, get good enough grades, or that I haven’t bought every item on an aesthetic list curated by a stranger.

Maybe physically, I already have everything I need.

(Slowly) working toward a reboot of my ancient 2020-era studyblr discord. About halfway through "renovations." Will keep you all updated!

It will be rebranded to "lifelong learning." You don't have to be a current student to join, you just have to be learning or looking to learn something and wanting a community to do it. Maybe you want to stay accountable as you learn to code or bake or go through work trainings.
