Navigating Life's Uncertainties
Let's Get One Thing Straight: Navigating Life's Uncertainties. From a young age, we're pushed to figure out our life's purpose, follow a set path, and achieve milestones. But the reality is, it's hard to know what we truly want. We're told a degree is essential for success, yet the job market has evolved, leaving us questioning our choices. What if I had pursued higher education? Would it have led to a better future or just added debt? The weight of 'what ifs' can be overwhelming.
Personally, I chose not to pursue a university education and instead worked my way up the ladder, gaining qualifications and skills within the company. I've always believed in the importance of continuous learning and skill development, as you never know where your true passion lies. Now, I find myself in a 9-5 job with good pay, weekends and evenings off — it's a stable and comfortable situation. Yet, I can't help but feel a sense of being stuck. Is this all there is to life? Surely, there must be more than simply working to survive. I'm curious to know what choices you've made and what roads you're currently traveling. Let's share our stories and explore the possibilities together.

Smart, communicative, and nurturing, chickens are amazing. Like dogs and cats, they are worthy of life and kindness. However, we have arbitrarily assigned them as food and accept the cruel practices that they have to endure. Make the switch to plant based foods for a kinder, more equal world.

Tame my tongue!
Suffering produces:
PERSEVERANCE
CHARACTER
HOPE
3 Ways to make time for what matters
Consistently read God's word - Spending time with God produces a richer more meaningful spiritual life.
Invite and get involved with the community - expand God's kingdom.
Make space for God - Prepare your heart.
Salvation is for all!
We understand the importance of love and forgiveness, mercy and working for justice. Jesus came for all. We are all brothers and sisters. When you claim a relationship with him it's no longer an option to follow the rules or not. We understand the importance of love and forgiveness, mercy and working for justice.
God is love and any who loves is of God.
Love is the key word!
Reach out in prayer - He won't disappoint!
God teach us by example that love has no boundaries and that we too must have no boundaries in our love for others...... Amen!
Words are powerful! We all fall short of God's glory and have areas in our lives and language that need refined. Words are powerful - God spoke the world into existence. Words can represent who we are through conversation and shift the atmosphere. Proverbs teaches us our words are unsubmitted to God. Our words can breed or kill. James 3 says we move in the direction we speak. No man alone can tame a tongue. When we accept Jesus in our hearts, the Holy Spirit lives within us and we are sanctified. We all need the Superpower of the Holy Spirit to help us progress in our hearts. So that our words reflect Gods love!
FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
LOVE
KINDNESS
SELF-CONTROL
PATIENCE
GENTLENESS
JOY
PEACE
GOODNESS
FAITHFULNESS
These things empower us to walk in wisdom and discernment.
Allow the Holy Spirit to dictate your speech.
Psalm 39:1-2 (Muzzle your mouth before the wicked)
Ephesians 4:29 (Do not let loose talk come out of your mouth, build others up)
James 3: 1-12 (Not many of you should become teachers. Those who teach will be judged more strictly. Keep your whole body in check)
Mathew 15:11 What goes into someone's mouth does not defile them but what comes out of their mouth that is what defiles them.

scott mccall is the single most relevant and subversive lead protagonist of all early 2010s teen tv shows because the central thesis of his character is that everything is always about Love and that no love is never wasted and that love will always come back to you and that even when it dooms you hurts you breaks you that love will always save you and that is why you must always love love love because love is rebellion and love is defiance and love will remain in the end

So you know how Takayoshi gifted Akemi two songbirds in a cage together as a sincere apology for his mother?
I think those two birds are meant to symbolize both Akemi and Takayoshi. They are both marginalized in some way despite their privilege. Akemi as the daughter of a lord and Takayoshi as the disabled second son of the shogun are both denied agency in their roles despite their privilege. Takayoshi and Akemi both are song birds in a gilded cage. Two pawns to the political and social machinations of their parents. Akemi a victim to her father’s political aspirations and Takayoshi evidently a victim to his mother’s social manipulations.
(Aside: and possibly emotional abuse/neglect, with the way he was forbidden from speaking to women and who knows what actually happened to this first wife. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that it seems to me like this is all in service of maintaining a “respectable” image of the family, and cannot risk having people know he has a stutter. just spitballing here)
If I were to make a prediction for season 2, or a wish, it’s that I would like to see Akemi and Takayoshi form a genuine bond and alliance as two privileged-yet-marginalized individuals having to navigate a politically fraught and rigidly hierarchical society, and I think there’s at least some textual evidence to support this being a real possibility.
They demonstrate in the show Takayoshi is no fool and that he’s clearly an educated and well-read man. Take how he engages with Akemi’s poetry during sex compared to Taigen as an example. He simply has a disability and is somewhat submissive and subdued (likely due to being shamed or ridiculed for his stutter and getting little to no support as a child). They are capable of being intellectual equals. Any sort of power or control Akemi would gain over Takayoshi is by virtue of the kindness and empathy she is showing him, not because she’s outsmarting him. I believe Takayoshi is willingly surrendering himself to his wife and cognizant of this fact.
I think we may see a dynamic where Akemi will both advocate for her own political ends but also at times advocate for and try to protect her husband where she can where familial and interpersonal relationships are involved. I really really hope their union will be one that grows in political power through the healing power of love, compassion, and solidarity between two marginalized individuals.
They can acknowledge the humanity in each other and see each other as equals in their shared pain and victimization, and find empowerment through each other. If they cannot be their own masters at least they can be each other’s sole masters.
Takayoshi and Akemi may be two songbirds stuck in a gilded cage, stripped of their freedom and humanity. But they at least have each other and together they can harmonize.

Fandom Acts of Kindness! (a pop up event...sort of)
I wish I had the energy to keep up with anyone who participates or shares things for this event, but I'm still sick and managing 3 other events still. But I didn't want Random Acts of Kindness day to pass without encouraging something.
Even if I'm not reblogging everything you share, I still encourage you to participate in spreading some kindness in our fandom over the next two days. Complete as many tasks as you can. Can you get 3 in a row? Feel free to reblog with your bingo board to share what Fandom Acts of Kindness you chose to complete!
I hope people will join in! Let me know if you have any questions!
Choose Kindness (with others and yourself!) 💛💛💛

Hi Beans, I’m finally here. Diluting the sad with fun and very OOC.
I don’t really have a lot of ideas about what to write, but I remembered that I shared my idea of Es with the chivalrous Argenti's personality. So. AU in a vacuum (maybe an actors AU, maybe not), where Es thought that it would be funny to surprise the prisoners with the behavior of a knight(maybe Jackalope came up with that idea, maybe just strange sense of humor). What about the prisoners' reactions? (gallantry and compliments to plants attached) I think Mahiru would have joined the drive even if she didn’t really understand what happened. Fuuta would probably say "ugh, cringe" and that would make him a great target for the rest of the day.
YESS ahahaha, this is such a fun idea! I wrote a little scene with a few characters, but honestly it's hysterical picturing any of them trying to figure out how to react to this new and sparkling Es... I went for a version where not even Jackalope was prepared, but I can certainly see him suggesting something crazy like that to shake things up omg. Thank you so much for the request! The original meme was made by Mug, and I couldn't help but do a doodle myself ✨🌹

Amane was the first to witness it. She fled as soon as possible, finding sanctuary in the common room. The others were surprised as she stumbled in, face pale and eyes wide. Very little could frighten the girl; it was not a good sign.
Yuno moved to comfort her. “What’s wrong?”
Her eyes went distant with the harrowing memory. “It’s Es,” was all she said.
“Did they do something cruel?”
“No. Worse.” Amane shivered. “They were… nice.”
“They were what?”
Amane opened her mouth, but paused at the sound of heels clicking down the hallway.
She stiffened. “If you need me you can find me in my cell.” She disappeared as quickly as she came. The others, who had been listening in on the odd conversation, gaped after her. They tried to piece together what had been so unsettling. Still, Es’ boots approached.
All eyes landed on the doorway.
And Es appeared. They looked very normal. Jackalope hopped up behind them. All shoulders sagged in relief. Es surveyed the room, slightly surprised to find everyone staring.
Then, they smiled.
It was a genuine, bright smile. The blue-gray of their eyes sparkled with a new light. Their lips parted to release a lighthearted laugh, unlike anything the prisoners had heard from them before.
They glided through the room, heels clicking lightly behind them until they came to Muu. The others stood frozen in place.
Es swept their cape aside with a grand flourish of their arm. They held both her hand and her gaze with warmth.
“Why, hello, Muu! You’re looking as positively lovely as always. Has this fine morning treated you well?”
“Um…” She looked to everyone, her face pleading for a little guidance. They were too busy looking eagerly to her in astonishment. “Uh… yes?”
“I’m pleased to hear it.” They reached behind themself. The room let out a soft gasp as they produced a pale pink flower from underneath their cape.
“For you, my dear.”
They didn’t wait for her to finish stuttering a confused ‘thank you’ before they turned to whoever was standing closest. Mahiru’s own face lit up as Es turned their glimmering gaze her way. Fuuta scoffed, muttering something about this being the lamest, cringiest thing he’d witnessed. Es pretended not to hear.
“Shiina Mahiru… a smile like yours is rare to find in a place like this. I thank you for it.” They pinched their chin and angled their head, thinking. “The meaning of your name has to do with light, correct?”
She nodded, unable to keep the giddiness from her face. The others watched as Es moved their glove behind once more. Surely there was no room for any more flowers hidden there…
Surely they were all mistaken – Es flicked their wrist to present a small gathering of yellow blooms.
“Something radiant for someone as bright as you.”
She fell over herself with gratitude and giggles. She tried to tuck it into her hair, and Mikoto stepped over to help her. The pair raised their eyebrows at each other in disbelief.
This time, Es retrieved their gift before turning to their next victim. A classic red rose. They caught a prisoner’s gaze.
“Oh, no. Nope. No way.” Fuuta held up his hands, as if it could ward them off. “I don’t want your stupid-ass flowers.”
“Now, now, I see you’re playing hard to get, as usual.” They brushed their thumb along the thorny stem. “You know, the rose has a very similar approach.”
Fuuta’s face now matched the flower’s color. “Wha–” He stumbled backward, then took off running to the door. “I don’t know what weird mind games you’re trying to pull, but I’m staying out of it!”
Es only clicked their tongue gently when he disappeared. “Always making things difficult, that one. All part of his charm, I suppose.”
They followed to the entrance. Turning briefly, they flashed their smile once more.“It was wonderful to see you all! I will await our next meeting eagerly.”
With a fluttery wave, they vanished.
Everyone’s attention shot to Jackalope, who had paused in the doorway. No one could understand his voice, but his little rabbit face seemed to say, Hey, don't look at me. I have no fucking idea.

My family's religious and racial trauma is not for other people to use as a prop to validate their political position. I am saying this for myself, because it matters to me and because I think a lot of people simply do not understand.
I am Jewish and was raised Jewish by my mother. I survived gun violence in the US because of religious intolerance and white supremacy.
My step-mother and step-sister survived a month as prisoners of war in the 1990s. My step-sister is Arabic and was raised Muslim.
I love my family. No trauma or violence will ever undo the pain that we have suffered. All it does is compounds upon itself. Please stop treating this like a game between sports teams. This is my family.
