based on a nightmare good dream i had last night, presented in an “x reader” form, here’s

Kaladus!

-the stereotypical “monster under the bed”

-bound to the owner of a stuffed animal that looks like a miniature, toonish version of him, transfers with ownership. said stuffed animal cannot be burned or destroyed with water, though can be torn apart.

-you got him as a kid and then got scared of the plush, so it’s just shoved in your closet. he was always very careful to not let you see him, he didn’t want to scare you any worse.

-he’s intimidating as hell: 8 feet tall/long, covered in soft, shiny black fur, 6 glowing golden eyes, long vaguely dinosaur-shaped head with folding teeth and a long, rough tongue, 6 foot spiked tail, six legs, each foot with three claws (front two have an extra thumb-claw). he smells like pine trees and smoke.

-he lives under your bed during the day unless he decides he has to keep you safe (very overprotective 😳) and then he’ll follow you around. he can’t be that intimidating to most people though since only people who know him can perceive him without irrefutable evidence.

-you got used to coming home to a made bed and clean room for no explainable reason until you caught him doing it your senior year of high school and freaked out, understandably. you’d seen weirder, though, and it wasn’t that hard to accept.

-he comforts you through your insomnia, jumping up onto the bed and letting you cuddle his soft body. he likes curling his tail around you and nuzzling your neck (he can smell the blood in your veins, and it's comforting)

-he feeds on dreams, and he thinks your nightmares are absolutely delicious. it’s mutually beneficial, since you never remember them and wake up in his gentle claws.

-he’s very cuddly, and just enjoys being around you! when you’re doing homework in your dorm, he’ll curl up by your feet and put his head in your lap to scratch! he purrs when you do and you can feel it in your legs.

-you found out the "under your bed" thing is transferrable to whatever bed you're sleeping in: someone broke into your hotel room once, presumably with ill intent, and immediately got mauled and devoured for their efforts. You went to therapy for that one after seeing the blood caked around his mouth. He snuggled up to you after, distended belly pressing against you slightly.

-he enjoys running around your college campus at night. the sound his claws make against your brick building as he scales the wall to your fifth floor window haunts you.

-sometimes when you go to the store you can see little flashes of black in the corner of your eyes as you shop. he's very fast. it makes you smile because you know you're safe.

so, i've got a lot of content with my new character, which i ordered as a custom, so i’m urgently starting an acquaintance. this character means a lot to me, i sublimated a lot of my insides here, so i hope for a warm welcome for him from you, my viewers.

⬆️ here's art that i've got as a custom design and the other sketches are mine.

the man’s name is Mekong, he is a humanoid, i can even say, a monster, that lives in the capital hex in a spacious apartment with his two sons. works, most likely, together with all the characters in the company, but is not an agent, just an office worker.

his character will be difficult to describe... at first glance, an ordinary sociable, hardworking, polite and decent citizen, always ready to lend a helping hand. most of this is true, but in reality Mekong is psychopathic and cynical person, with low empathy, delusions of control, good at pretending to be “normal”, even rather “ideal”. in his head there is another world, unexplored and invisible to anyone except him, a world that he has learned to hide from others eyes.

on the last pictures – his youngest son, still unnamed (options are welcome in the comments). their relationship is normal, in some cases even good, as much as possible with a psychopathic father. the boy adapted well to his father’s strictness and other conditions, which cannot be said about the second child, but more on that later.

Making a monster high OC based on a myth monster from Brazil.

I've really liked monster high since I was a kid and that passion has recently returned and it came with a desire to create something about it, so I decided to create an oc!

the monster that I selected to be the basis for the character is "negro d'água", a legend from the center west of Brazil that tells the legend of a black man, bald and with amphibian characteristics that would live in rivers and that If you don't give him a fish, he will sink your boat, but you could avoid meeting him if you throw a bottle of cachaça in the river.

my biggest inspirations were the late 70's and the punk movement and amphibians like frogs (having a tadpole tail that he will lose when he's an adult)

Negrolas Nascente is the son of Negro D'agua, being a confident, stubborn and introverted person.

he hates following standards, living an independent and carefree style.

he fights for everyone to have the opportunity to have a lifestyle similar to his, as he believes that living in standards is the same as living in a prison.

even though he seems rude, he's a good person who just wants everyone to feel good about being who they want to be.
