The biggest assignment of the year came to a close about two weeks ago.

I had to create a 40 second, hand drawn 2D animation this semester and boy, it was a behemoth of a task for majority of it. We could pick to animate anything we wanted, so, to keep myself interested and keep it aligned with my exhibition theme, I chose to animate one of my Alphaeus, Zariya.

I learnt a lot about animating and using various resources to make the project easier to complete, and learnt a lot of the program I used to make it (Clip Studio Paint).

I definitely plan to keep animating and learn how to do shorter, smooth ones and I may eventually offer them as commissions, but they will definitely be on the pricier side as it’s not the quickest project in the world.

I also want to keep working on this particular one until it’s lined and coloured. I may even continue adding to the transformation and remove the small flash entirely.

Anyway! Animating was very stressful under a time limit, but a lot of fun and you may see more of it from me down the line.
