out of many obvious perks of working at a coffee shop - like actually being paid and having near unlimited access to coffee - if you had to select one, you would point to the customers you could observe. of course, you knew all the stories about how working in customer service was a pain, people being basically just people, sure. but it has never been the case in the coffee shop that you worked for now. it was hard to explain why. all kinds of different types of beings would parade in front of the counter on any given day, but either there was some actual magic at work, or the enchanted cafe only attracted the polite ones.

Deku's birthday/Kamideku hcs <33

for Deku's birthday Kami most definitely convinces everyone to throw him a surprise party

it goes about exactly how you think it would go with the lovely bunch of individuals thats 1-A

Sato bakes him a funfetti cake thats in the shape of (and decorated like) Deku's hero analysis notebook if it was open

all the edible confetti and glitter n stuff are in the colors of All Might's hero costume

Jirou definitely was in charge of making a playlist that everyone would vibe with whilst still being songs Deku enjoys

Bakugo was in charge of getting the gaming counsels set up so him and Deku could do their birthday tradition of Just Dance (Bakugo always wins)

Aoyama gets put in charge of decorations and no one is surprised at how beautifully everything turned out

while everything is getting prepared, Kaminari and Tamaki plan a double date so they can celebrate their respective partner's birthdays

nothing to fancy they go around the mall, get a bite to eat, and end up relaxing at the park

when they part ways Deku takes Kaminari to meet his mom for the first time so thats fun

when they head back to the dorms is when the party starts

they decide against hiding and jumping out due to not wanting to scare the ever-loving shit outta the birthday boy

but they definitely scream when he walks through the door to the common room and its a tad bit overwhelming

the second Deku notices whats going on he immediately starts crying

he never really had parties as a kid due to being bullied n stuff so he just hung out with his mom and Bakugo when Mitsuki made him

Todoroki got extremely confused by the tears and Kiri had to very lovingly inform him that they were happy tears

lots of lively chatter and a sore arm later, Katsuki and Izuku have finally have their anticipated Just Dance match

and like usual, Katsuki won (this mf NEVER loses at Just Dance and when i say NEVER i mean he has been undefeated his entire life)

their traditional game is then followed by everyone trying to beat Katsuki while doing only extreme dances

almost everyone goes and loses until Mina

everyone thought it would at least be close considering Mina dances in a style closer to what they would be doing

but she inevitably got her ass handed to her when Katsuki got five stars in Where Have You Been on extreme

she ran out of stamina like halfway through and almost decked Sero in the fact when he said "thought youd have more staM-ina"

overall it was a good time and Midoriya thanked Kaminari PROFUSELY for planning what was single handedly the most exciting experience hes ever had (yes yes it did bass boost Denki's ego thanks for asking)

After Harvey ends up in the hospital, Gilda started visiting the diner on her way to/from seeing him. It was obvious that she wasn't sleeping much, and that she was spending every waking moment with him, whether he was actually responding or not. It's also pretty obvious that there were a few weeks she hadn't gone home at all.

Two-Face once dodged the cops by hiding out behind the diner. Everyone in Gotham needs at least one experience with their favorite DA-turned-Gotham Rogue showing up in their trash.

Khare, your rental agreement was all kinds of fucked up, and your landlord is sketchy AT BEST, if not an actual criminal. Harv can help you put a whole... thing, together. Tenant rights, etc. Living in Gotham doesn't have to suck and you deserve better okay.

sometimes I randomly think about the time a girl posted in this girls only Facebook group I’m in telling everyone how she broke up with her boyfriend and he lied saying that he lost the spare key she gave him, only to then break into her apartment when she wasn’t home and steal the cat they’d adopted while they were together, but then he denied having done this and she didn’t really have proof that he took the cat since he wouldn’t let her come into his place and look for it. And then another girl saw this post and knew her ex-boyfriend, and she was like “girl. I used to hook up with your mans back in xxxx and I still have his number. If you want, I’ll hit him up and get him to invite me back to his place and see if your cat’s there.” And the OP was like “bet.”

So this woman hit up homie dog, asked him out for drinks, went home with him, slept with him, and then woke up in the middle of the night and TOOK THE CAT. Like she had only said that she would confirm if the cat was there but then she took it upon herself to steal this woman’s cat back. Like she full on Trojan horsed this man and then hit up homegirl like “I got the goods. Where you wanna meet.” And then the two of them posted a photo of them together with the cat to the group.

And I just think women supporting women is so beautiful.

It is winter in Gaza, so the temperatures are getting colder and it is harder and harder to find warmth and the resources necessary to keep warm. Not even hospitals and schools are safe from bombing. The chicken are not safe from being taken hostage. They do not get enough food or water on a daily basis. The children of Gaza are by definition starving. Over 80% of Palestinian children are suffering from depression. Over 10,000 children have lost limbs in 3 months. They are going through extreme medical procedures without any painkiller or anesthetic. The watch their parents and family die in front of them and then are forced to continue in alone to try to ensure their own safety. And despite the horror that they have to go through on a daily basis, they still are finding joy and hope. They are stronger than every single one of us and if you are able to look at all the images and videos and stories that come out on an hourly basis of what these children are going through and are still not able to take it seriously you are treating them no better than Israel is.

On Saturday I hung out with my 84-year-old ecologist great uncle and he stopped in mid-conversation (abt the return of the whooping crane) and very seriously told me that "you can go one of two ways, as a naturalist"; either you keep sight of the hopeful possibilities, or you don't. I'm one of nature's wretched little pessimists but when an old ecologist literally holds your hands in his and tells you, "don't despair," you have to try, I feel.

Bram can taste human food and eat it without much issue, so he'll enjoy meal time with his partners, and nothing will feel out of place

They adopted Q, and Hirotsu learned how to do black hair so they could have cute hair styles and make sure their hair was taken care of

Edgar frightens Bram (the man wants to eat people to make cannibalism in his books seem more realistic)

Bram knows Gaelic, English, Russian, and Japanese. He refuses to learn Ukrainian to spite Nikolai
