Coming Out for Dinner: A Seroroki Fic

Shoto was more than happy to ask his sister if he could bring Sero over for dinner. They've been dating for a few months now, and he thought this would be a great chance to introduce his boyfriend to his siblings.

Too bad there was an unexpected dinner guest.

Shoto sighed and wrapped his arms around Sero more, his ear to his chest to hear Sero's heartbeat. They lay together just breathing for a few moments while Shoto tried to broach the subject of their sudden plans.

"Sero?"

"Roki?"

"I..." this was more difficult than he imagined, "I want you to meet my family."

Sero perked up a bit, "Yeah?"

Shoto took a deep breath before affirming, "Yes. They have invited us to dinner tonight."

Sero couldn't help but grin, "That sounds great, baby—" but it was cut short.

"—They don't know."

"They don't know what?"

"That I'm... that you're... we're..."

"They don't know we're together?" Sero answered for him.

"Yes. And they do not know..."

"And they don't know...?"

"They do not know I'm... gay," it still takes a bit of effort for the words to leave his lips.

Some of the couples in class are protected from their parents. The Bakugo family does not know who their son spends time with, for instance. The thought of having to be one of the people in hiding scares Shoto. He at least trusts Fuyumi and Natsuo to be accepting...

"Hey, that's alright, baby—"

"I referred to you as a friend..."

"Hey, Shoto?"

Shoto picked his head up and looked at Sero with wide eyes and Sero's smile felt like a blanket fresh out of the dryer. "If we have to be friends in front of your family instead of boyfriends right now, I won't be upset. I promise."

Shoto dropped his head back onto Sero's chest in relief, but there was still a fear bubbling in his stomach.

He clutched Sero's hand the entire bus ride to the house. Sero would always squeeze back when he felt Shoto's grip strengthen, occasionally kissing his head or cheek for extra reassurance as they sat and looked out the window.

they're in UA at the time, no ages specified (but think 17/18 ish, just 2 teens getting high and being in love) i definitely thought of the song "pretty girl" by Clairo the whole time I wrote this, listen to that while you read for the full effect ig (or you can follow me on spotify and listen to my bakugou, deku, and bakudeku playlists @/ Bun'sSpotify just gonna plug it here shamlessly)

Sitting on the floor of Seros dorm, window slightly cracked and water bottles lingering around the room, Shoto took another hit of the pipe and blew the smoke out the window, coughing afterwards. Sero moved from where he was resting on the floor against his bed and reached over to his girlfriend.

Sero lightly patted her back and handed her a bottle, "take it easy, pretty girl."

Pretty girl. That nickname will always manage to make Shoto blush. The pink spreading all over her cheeks and adding a nice contrast against her scar, one that Sero kisses whenever he can. They've been smoking for a while now, the weed in the pipe turning to ash and starting to burn their throats, but Sero wanted to share the last hit with his girlfriend.

Taking the last hit, he waved Shoto over to him and cupped her face. Looking into her heterochromatic eyes, he blew out into her slightly parted mouth and she gasps slightly, before sucking in and taking the smoke into her mouth and inhaling deeper to get it to her lungs. On the exhale, Sero grabbed the back of her head and brought her closer into a lazy kiss. The room was dimly lit with Seros LEDs, the window provided a nice warm breeze on the two as they lazily made out. Shoto giggled, the high kicking in and making her tongue feel heavy and her brain all fuzzy. She pulled away and sat in Seros lap, looking into his onyx eyes and playing with his soft hair.

"I love you," she blurts out.

"I love you," a kiss to the nose, "so much," a kiss right under her left eye on her scar, "my pretty girl," a kiss on her forehead.

Shotos hair had grown out, and her features softened thanks to the hormones she's been taking, and Sero loves nothing more than to gently caress her cheeks and play with her hair. Shoto rests against her boyfriends shoulder, and her eyes dropped shut, the weed making her tired. Sero starts lightly scratching her scalp, she hummed softly and nuzzled her face into seros neck lightly kissing it.

Sero shivered, "careful, angel face. I might not be able to resist you,"

Shoto smirked, and he could feel it where she was tucked away, "mmmkay," she stopped and turned her head, reaching for the pipe.

"More?" She peers through her thick dual colored lashes up at Sero, and he just chuckles and shakes his head.

"No, pretty girl. Cutting you off, let's get to bed yeah?"

Shoto stumbles as she stands, the weed in her system making her body feel incredibly heavy. The couple gets on the bed, and Sero holds her close, shoto curled up and tucked into his side as he lays on his back.

"G'night angel," a kiss to the head.

"Night, love," a kiss to the chin.
