I don't remember where this happened or when, but according to the story someone, a researcher maybe, was visiting some local community in a rain forest and one evening a huge snake came in and wrapped itself around the fire. The locals told this person not to do anything and leave it alone. The snake stayed the night and had left by dawn. Well, in the morning this fella of course asked why no one did anything about the snake, why they let it stay. The answer was "It wasn't going to do anything. It was the spirit of a forefather who came to see us." Although I don't believe in spirits or such, this still is a beautiful story and I find their way of seeing the world comforting

brought to you by "The Myth of Lesbian Impunity: Capital Laws from 1270 to 1791" by Louis Crompton
when you first start studying queer history: sapphic acts have basically never been criminalized in any western society! so queer women have always had it easier than queer men!
when you delve even the slightest bit deeper: why do we still believe this
(OP cannot control who does and does not reblog this post, but she firmly believes that trans women are women)

Me: I don't need a new fic idea, I already have so many!
My brain: But what if Bruno saves a wolf puppy and the pack basically adopts him as a member of the fam, and follow him around like puppies, and the Madrigals now have like ten wolves sitting in their courtyard around Bruno while Alma tries desperately to not have a heart attack?
Was this just an excuse to draw a bunch of wolves bc they're fun to draw?
Probably.
Bruno deserves a pack of floofy bois. Supreme cuddle opportunity.
