I'm posting this video to make a point about something I touched on with my thoughts about the Avengers era. If anyone out there wants to believe my feelings are isolated, they should be reminded of the incident of The Worse Chris. This video is only three months old, and people are still pissed, witnessing all of the support that Chris Pratt got over a joke, from MCU actors RDJ, Ruffalo, even Saldana.

Then there's the other stuff, touched on in the comments. This next comment is very close to my heart. I have complained about the same thing. We keep getting the same actors in big budget and theater releases, as though there're only 4 or 5 actors on the entire planet. All this tells people is how very privileged these same people are and begs the question as to why.

Plot: Shuri and Namor have formed an alliance that was sealed with their marriage....

It was confusing for Shuri to keep traveling between Talocan and Wakanda in the first few weeks, but that was what was needed to keep Wakanda safe. Even if she was not the queen, she was still beholden to the Black Panther and her people. An alliance of the two peoples, as Namor had wanted from the beginning, but this could not be broken. Namor's and her lives were connected to each other inevitably now, through marriage. She hated it, as the thought still made her blood boil as she remembered what he had taken from her. Shuri was alone. Without T'Challa or her mother. She was the last of her family. A descendant of the first Black Panther. At first, she was anything but thrilled with the idea of uniting their peoples like this, but she let him survive when she had the chance for her revenge. There had to be a reason, right? Finally, she was willing to fight an eternal war with Talocan, but decided against it because she realized that they were more similar than she thought. They both did everything they could to protect their peoples.

Shuri would always remember what had happened, but she also couldn't deny that something began to change between them as she spent more time with Namor. However, that didn't stop her from denying the feelings she had for him to everyone. It was silly that she had actually fallen in love with him, but it seemed to come down to that from the beginning. She looked at his mother's bracelet he had given her and remembered his words, "You wanted to burn the world down...Let's burn it down together.

"What are you thinking about, Princess?" her husband asked behind her and she looked at Namor in surprise. Somehow that had become her nickname.

"About killing you," she said defiantly, looking at him firmly, but he just smiled. It was clear to him that she had had many chances to do it, but never did. Shuri looked down at his foot, which was still bandaged after she had ripped his wings off there. "How's your foot?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "It's not as bad as it was at first," he admitted, offering her his hand. "Come...I want to show you something."

Hesitantly, she took his hand before he led her to them to his room. In the middle, Namor had her stand and smile before he removed a varnish from the wall and revealed to her the painting he had been working on. It was a picture of him and her fighting. "This is part of the story now...How the Black Panther defeated me...It is my wedding gift to you..."

Shuri walked closer and looked at it. "This marriage is merely an alliance, Namor..." she said, closing her eyes, but feeling him step behind her, feeling his hands on her sides.

"You are lying to yourself and to me...It has become more than that...You are afraid, afraid of what everyone will think of you if you want me..." he said, turning her to face him. Namor put a finger under her chin, "I know what I did and I'm not going to tell you I'm sorry because I did all this for my people..." -She looked at him firmly and tried to push him off of her, but he held her tightly- "But I can say that I am sorry for your loss..."

"It doesn't make it better, Namor..." she said softly, "I have no one left! Everyone I cared about has been taken from me! How are you going to make this hurt stop?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "I can't...you have to learn to live with the pain and that's how you get stronger."

Shuri thrashed against his chest, but he held her tightly and pulled her against his chest. "And if that's not enough, I can't stop loving you..." she said softly and weakly as she looked up at him, "What kind of person does that make me?"

"Just someone who wants to keep going..." he said as he looked into her eyes. Namor leaned down and brushed his lips against hers. Shuri lifted her hand and placed it on his neck as she returned the kiss. But then she broke the kiss and stepped back from him. "No..."

Her voice sounded like she couldn't believe what she was doing herself. She shook her head and walked away. "I love you too," he said, making her stop. Namor stepped behind Shuri again and took her hand in his, intertwining his fingers with hers. "Give in, if only once...No one would ever have to know..."

She took a deep breath before turning and kissing him passionately. Namor placed a hand on the middle of her back and held her closer. She removed his cloak before he lifted her and carried her to her bed. She had never been there before. When she was in Talocan, she was always in her own room. Once in front of it, he lowered her down before kissing her neck and making Shuri sigh. Slowly, he pulled her dress up until the fabric was bunched around her middle. She lowered herself onto the bed and looked at Namor from below before pulling her dress over her head, leaving her wearing only underwear. Shuri didn't break the gaze between them as she lifted her hand and rubbed his erection through his pants.

I was rewatching "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" and I have to say this:

•The way the Wakandians have to open their borders is an EXTRAORDINARY/GENIUS/BRILLIANT method! Seriously *mind blown*

•And honestly, am I the only one who found this part under the throne room really odd? When Ramona and Riri are being pulled down by the water we see that really odd looking space under the glass floor - do we know if that connects to any other place of the palace or...it's just there?

•I couldn't stand Namor in this particular scene...they were all trying to save Queen Ramona and Riri, Shuri was going mad/completely desperate seeing what looked like *and could be* her mother lifeless body on the floor, the possibly of losing the only family she had left, all of this WHILE she was still mourning the death of her older brother, and Namor wouldn't stop talking! Like DUDE SHUT THE FUCK UP! "Within a week I will be back with my whole army bla bla bla *I'm an asshole* Bury your dead. Mourn your losses."

•When Shuri's soul travelled to the ancestral plane and met with Killmonger:

Erik: “Are you going to be noble like your brother or take care of business like me?”

Shuri: "I'm not my brother. Namor will beg me for mercy as I stand and I watch as he dies."

Shuri said that not just because of all the grief she was feeling, but the anger and resentment for what/who took her mother and brother and then she gets to the ancestral plane and doesn't see her mother BUT INSTEAD see her asshole of a cousin who almost killed her brother and destroyed her home...During her fight with Namor I had many mixed feelings because I WANTED NAMOR DEAD BUt I didn't want Shuri to kill him: like I wrote above - she was filled with negative emotions: anger/rage, resentment, grief, sadness thirst for vegeance, and probably doubting herself because she didn't see her mother in the Ancestral Plane so she might have been thinking that it was her fault. She wasn't being her true self.

November 7th - Namora

The daughter of an Atlantean man and a surface world woman, Aquaria Neptunia grew up onin the underworld city of Lemuria.  Like her cousin, Prince Namor, Aquaria was born a Mutant possessing super powers that are roughly the same as those bestowed to Namor (greatly enhanced physical attributes, longevity and flight).  This coupled with the youngster’s fearless and feisty nature earned her the nickname ‘Namora,’ which in the language of Atlantis translates to ‘avenging daughter.’   

Relocating to the Atlantean capital in her adolescence, Namora would go on to have numerous adventures alongside her cousin.  She later became friendly with Namor’s human love interest, Betty Dean.  Namora lived with Betty for a time to get to better know her human heritage.  

Namora used her powers to fight for the Allied Forces during the Second World War.  Herein she battled nazi villains that included The Viking, Firebrand and Dr. Macabre.  She continued her adventures following the war and ended up a member of Ulysses Bloodstone’s group of Monster Hunters.  Not long thereafter, Namora aided Jimmy Woo as a part of his G-Men, battling the menace of the Golden Claw.  The G-Men ultimately disbanded and Namora was recruited by Nick Fury to be a member of his 1950’s era Avengers.  

Namora ultimately returned to the undersea world to search for her missing cousin, Namor.  Herein, Namora stumbled upon the secret lair of Vyrra, an Atlantean scientist who was exiled decades earlier for his cloning experiments. Vyrra convinced Namora to allow him to create a clone of her which she would then carry to term safely. The clone was impregnated through in vitro fertilization and she ultimately gave birth to a daughter whom she named Namorita. 

The villainous Lyra had discovered the truth about Namorita and orchestrated a diabolical plan.  She poisoned Namora causing her to fall into a deep coma.  With Namora out of the way, Lyra stepped in to raise Namorita believing she could groom the child into ultimately becoming a weapon she could use to conquer Atlantis and seat herself as its queen.  

Whilst Namorita was eventually rescued from Lyra’s clutches, Namora was believed dead for decades.  It was only Namora’s former comrade from the G-Men, the android R-1, who knew that she was still alive.  R-1 brought the newly reformed G-Men to where Namora was entombed and she was revived by way of the Uranian’s telepathy.  She would go on to join the G-Men in finally discovering the truth behind the schemes of The Golden Claw.  Thereafter she continued on as a member of Woo’s team, The Agents of Atlas.  

Namora features in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting in the movie, Wakand Forever, and portrayed by actress Mabel Cadena.  The heroine first appeared in the pages of Marvel Mystery Comics #82 (1947).
