Setsubun comic work in process part two. Going from roughs to pencils to inks I find it challenging to keep the same kind of liveliness and energy. It could be the tools this time (marker Pens). Im going to have to do more with brush and quills in ink to keep it lively. I am happy with the way the little mountain village banner panel turned out though. If you do wanna go full out with the good luck and fortune this year. Besides throwing roasted soy beans at demons, you can get a giant uncut sushi roll (futomaki or ehomaki) face south by southeast ( might wanna check the direction for sure because it changes every year) and eat the sushi roll in one go. I'm loving the way snow and the winters sky reflects different colours. One new year's resolution was to try and appreciate winter more. I enjoyed an informative lecture on Business Practices for creative's (copyright and contract information). The workshop took place at the Beguiling tonight sponsored by Koyama Press.
